    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The so-called "lovers" of this game blame the meaningless review bombing or blame people being bigot.
    But they never understand what actual normal gamers want to have, very simple, a good story plot.

    The game just simply ruin everything it built up in first title release.
    - Ruined the characters it built up in first title
    WTF happened to Joel? Joel can be dead but not in this way.
    Where is his intelligence?
    Where is his cautious personality?

    - Ruined the world it built up in first title
    TLOU world is A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE world.

    - It even ruined the ideas that the game want to send out, "Revenge is a bad thing"?
    Bad story telling skill, chaotic timelines, just don't use flashbacks if you can't handle properly.

    I stopped playing in the middle of Abby, i just can't play the game anymore.
    To those people who want to criticize me, i don't need to eat the entire plate of food to know it is delicious / if i like the food, just like i don't need to play the whole game to know it is good / if i like the game.
    Especially i already know the ending of this game.

Abby ter vingado a morte do pai matando Joel, gerou ódio em Ellie que também quis se vingar, e assim conforme se joga, vemos como a protagonista perde sua humanidade. Foi bem corajoso da parte dos desenvolvedores trazer isso à tona, e realmente, isso trouxe divesas críticas negativas por parte dos jogadores.… Expand

    Cada detalhe foi cuidadosamente pensado e feito para cada cenário, teve pouco aproveitamento das modelagens e texturas de um cenário para o outro.
    A trilha sonora está ótima, mas acho que poderiam ter colocado um pouco mais de música nas partes mais calmas. A dublagem está perfeita e os efeitos sonoros estão de parabéns.
    Senti que dá para explorar muita coisa e nenhuma das gameplays que assisti conseguiu explorar 100%, e é isso que me faz ter vontade de jogá-lo até o fim.
    O enredo está bacana, muita coisa explicada e desenvolvida. O final eu achei justo, não foi o que eu realmente esperava, mas foi justo, já que o tema principal da trama é sobre vingança.    … Expand

Joel could see an amubush from a mile away in the first game why did he trust random people who were trespassing in their territory and on top of that you are forced to play the character that killed Joel and I who went into the game blind was not expecting that. They could have let us play more of Ellie which I would have liked. I personaly could not sympathize with Abby Because of the way she killed Joel even after he saved her, she tortured him to the end which I was not happy about. Ellei after seeing Joel die goes on hunting the people who killed Joel but guess what she kills hundreds of people but when it comes down to killing that one person who killed Joel she lets her go. Horrible writting and not enough types of infected. Also the time skip did not have anything new to it , just some more vegetation. Overall it's an embarrassment to the pre-qual.… Expand

    Thought I'd give a fair rating, yes there is a few dissapointments but its a amazing experience nonetheless, name a more polished and lengthy campaign in a game in the lastyear or so. The combat is satisfying and can be very intense and the graphics are the best ive seen and really showcases the Ps4 pro. Dont listen to the haters this is worth every penny.great job naughty dog

    I loved the first game, and I liked this second, the story isn't as the first, but it's okey, it deserved a better ending but with this ending I hope that there's no third part :)

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. -Story: The way the story is told was not very convincing, though the performance was pretty good. But in all the hours I play, I only care about what happens to Ellie, I don’t give a **** about Abby.
    -Gameplay: It’s really realistic combat, but it can get very tiring if you are playing the game on survivor like me. Abby part is a drag for me, I ran past several encounters just to get to the next area.
    -Graphics: Stunningly realistic. There are some really cinematic scenes in the game, like Abby leaving the island.
    -Details: Ellie will lower her head subconsciously while passing under the cable. Ellie can step on fences to jump. (You can trigger this animation by jump from the dumpster in the area where there is a Grafitti says **** the wolves.)    … Expand

You can be fighting people and you'll hear them screaming when you shoot off their fingers, you can hear people call for their teammates by name (crazy!), and it seems as if every part of the environment is intractable. Every surface you slam somebody against, it's as if that was specifically scripted to happen right there, in that exact place, with that exact method of hitting them (even though it wasn't! love the fighting mechanics they're great.)

    This game absolutely deserves the title of best of a generation. How the hell is everyone rating this game 0 / 10?? I mean seriously? You think this game is absolute trash; not even one star worthy? You're an idiot if you believe that. Just because you're saddened by plot elements doesn't make the game bad. That's the entire **** point. You're supposed to feel bad; feel loss. The world isn't a perfect place and the game really tries to get that point across. That doesn't mean the game is bad or that you should review it badly. It means you should perhaps (and I know this is going to ostracize me) play the game? Maybe finish it before you rate it terribly like an idiot?

    This game has been in development for almost 6/7 years and it shows. They've put tons of time into creating a game that is a masterpiece. Considering this game hasn't even been out for more than a few days, I seriously doubt 90% of the people reviewing here have even finished the game yet.

    I firmly believe that if you review bomb this game like a moron, either one out of two things are true:
    1. You don't even own the game / a playstation
    2. You haven't completed the game / played it at all

    I went out of my way to avoid leaks before launch, and did my best to ignore ridiculous **** like this. Naughty Dog, if you read this, you released an amazing game. The actual critics are correct here. This game is absolutely deserving of 9.5 / 10 like they say, 10 / 10 in my book. I literally don't know what could have made this game better. It's a masterpiece.

    Don't listen to these people; there is a reason we have actual critics. The game was fantastic, totally worth the wait (love the length of the game). Please continue to curate beautifully written games like this one.

    Those of you review bombing, please do two things:

    1. Play the game ENTIRELY. This means beginning to end. Don't stop playing halfway through and go review. Actually finish the damn game
    2. Come back here and re-evaluate the score you gave the game.

    Sorry if this post was a little brash. But it's ridiculous; this game is so amazing and it pisses me off that people might not play it based off reviews passed out by idiots who don't play a game before they review it.

    The biggest mistake of the game is the delivery.
    As you play they give you flashbacks and they have flashbacks in the flashbacks.
    Worst offender is that they want you to sympathize with the enemy by giving you a flashback about 12 hours into the game when it is too late.

    With the **** up of delivery the story is ruined and it is a story driven game.
    Your gameplay has 0 effect on the story.

Yeah, firstly, there were some propagandistic moments but after Joel had died game greatly changed. I played all the sony exclusive games but The Last of Us 1/2 only made me cry. It is not ideal, but it exactly doesn't deserve to have 3.7 score!

    Technical part of the game (graphics, some little details) - 10
    Gameplay - 10
    Plot - 100000 - it is amazing

She says "bigot" for crying out loud.     The gameplay is simple but effective. The world and graphics are very good. Beautiful and full of detail. But there are troubles that counterbalance too much those positives things to really enjoy the game. There is here a clear SJW agenda (LGBT multiracial Story, graceless female characters, etc..).

    Its a great game that lived up to my expectations. The characters are well written making every cutscene more emotional and heartfelt. The graphics were amazing. I would definitely recommend.

    Completely misleading. The trailers aren’t what they portrayed, they literally replaced people from the trailers with another character. It’s not the game they lead it to be.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. * Graphically speaking it is stunning. The attention to detail is impressive.
    * Gameplay very similar to the previous inception, with some added twists to keep from feeling too old hat. Being able to go prone (what's with that annoying thrumming noise) and jumping are welcome additions - although the jump mechanic needed more attention. There were too many instances where a missed jump came down to requiring that you stand on a very precise spot (with no indication otherwise).
    * The AI should have been tweaked to a more challenging standard. Examples of the weak AI: 1. Ellie could lay prone in grass and literally wipe out an entire squad of bad guys using the grab and stab technique. 2. Ellie could stab a Clicker and kill via a stealth takedown, but she couldn't stab kill them otherwise. 3. AI characters would call out the discovery of a dead comrad, then go back into a patrolling path loop within seconds of alerting the rest of the enemy. 4. Clickers need multiple shots with most weapons, even to what would be described as the head area, but a single normal arrow to the same area would take 'em out.
    * Pet peeve: Being able to detect enemies on the other side of the walls was routinely nullified, for the sake of a horror movie style jump-out-of-nowhere suprise element. Multiple checks of an area that would indicate no enemies present, only to be attacked as soon as you entered the room - which would then be filled with the enemy. Why give the player the ability to detect enemies if you repeatedly discount it for some cheap scare tactic?
    * Story was engaging, with periodic flashbacks to fill in the backstory elements and paint a broader picture of the major characters. It dealt with a quite the range of emotions and attitudes, fairly consistently well done. I felt that the second half could have put more time into the father-daughter relationship, which would likely have endeared me more to Abby's pain of loss. Also, Ellie's abrupt end to her life on the farm felt far too rushed.
    * Crafting didn't hold a lot of surprises, although the proximity charges were a nice addition.
    * The progression system was quite well done, proving players with a fairly expansive list of skills that could be improved upon. One of the few areas where it felt you were able to evolve the character's abilities to your own liking.
    On a more personal note: I get that a lot of people wanted a repeat of the first game, with more of the same Joel and Ellie elements. This game was primarily about Ellie and her obessesion with revenge. And it was about Abby, who also was obessed with the same desires, under similar circumstances. There's always two sides to any story, and I felt the writers did a decent job of potraying that this game world.    … Expand

Appena finito... che dire, un gioco che ti devasta l anima.. non era facile, non era scontato che si riuscisse a ottenere questo risultato con delle scelte così coraggiose.. ho odiato abby quasi come ho amato ally e joel ma allo stesso tempo mi sono anche affezionato.. la cura dei dettagli anche nelle più piccole cose mi ha trattenuto con piacere davanti allo schermo anche nelle parti meno concitate del gioco senza mai annoiarmi, un gameplay estremamente diverte con delle animazioni che lo rendono molto reale senza appesantirlo e concludendo una regia e una narrazione che ti fa provare veramente qualsiasi tipo di emozione durante tutte le 30 ore di gioco.. un gioco che rimarrà sicuramente nella storia, un gioco che sarà ricordato esattamente come il suo primo capitolo CONSIGLIATISSIMO SE SI VOGLIONO PROVARE EMOZIONI FORTI… Expand

No remorse over any wrongdoings and goes on killing spree while giving background emotional **** It's cheap, manipulative, and not good writing. You were able to build sympathy with each of the characters. All in all, they all try to survive. They all have scars. And to what end does revenge help that? I thought it was a brilliant and long lasting game with balanced gameplay. However, It became a little too generic in terms of the gameplay. I would have loved a bit more diversity in skills and combat moves.… Expand

And when it comes to last of us, everyone knows that the story is very important. First of all, the most frustrating issue was that the game attempted to empathize with the killer Abby after Joel's brutal and tortured murder. At the very beginning of the game, they forced the most hated character in the game for 10 hours. During this time, Abby's endearing efforts were also noticeable. Abby loves dogs, helps people, and she love a guy so??. I just hated these moves. and someone other than dozens of problems; love triangles.. Ellie loves Dina but Dina is pregnant from Jesse, Abby loves Owen but Mel is pregnant from Owen.. such a good netflix story. In short, all of these attempts to have empathy only angered me. That father-daughter relationship between Joel and Ellie can be called classic for some people, but it was something that made me happy. That character development and dialogues in the first game enabled this. In the second game, they destroyed it and couldn't replace it with something else.     I was really hoping forward to a long awaited sequel. This was very disappointing.

    This part II connects poorly with the first game and story wise it is fractured and not the same kind of dark future store, but more of a simple shooter with new characters. I was disappointed and bored in the latter part of the game.

But later, playing as Abby, you rethink every event, think of every person that killed and feel the story from a different angle. In general, the plot can not be called bad, but from my point of view this is the biggest disappointment. First of all, this is disappointment in Ally, from which the developers made a dumb machine for revenge, which does not see life. Of course, the murder of Joyle was a terrible blow and trauma for her life, but even after revenge, the murder of all friends and relatives of Abby and after Abby saved her life twice - Ellie wants to find her in order to save and then kill. . Our old beloved characters are made into villans and brutally discarded along the way.

    The main theme of the game is "revenge is bad" but Abby gets her revenge and lives happily ever after?

    But this game is not just about gameplay ... the story really sucks. There are too many plot holes. You can't understand what happens sometimes. For example when abby beats dina and Ellie the plot moves into the future without explaining how They found a doctor to treat the wounds. (Ellie had a broken arm, dina and Tommy were seriously injured. )Jesse dies like a retarded. Ellie spares abby in the end for no logical reason. This game is against Joel. Joel has been "mistreated" by Ellie. Tommy then after a blow to the head It survives by losing only one eye. ARE WE SERIOUS? We are forced to play over half the game as some random girl who was retconned in from the first game.     I feel sorry for the developers, who clearly put in so much effort to make this game beautiful as it is. But the story is so bad that all that work is just... lost.

    The story was one of the biggest disappointments that I ever had on gaming. It doesn't feel natural, this Abby narrative is so forced, i had to drag myself to endure it. They try so hard to make you feel sympathy for this character, that I just can't understand. Can you imagine how hard it is to play with a persona that you are rooting against? argh.

    The first was so compelling because the characters felt like real people. The story just.. happens, as a result of these characters interactions. Total different story with this game. Many a times which I could tell that the narrative was being forcibly directed somewhere. Then, immersion is completely gone.

    There's talk about politics influence in this game, and I can clearly see it now. And honestly, I'm ok by that, it's you company, and the game is your product, do what you will with it, and let the market decide if it's worth buying. But with all the shady marketing ans misleading information prior to launch, I just feel lied to.

    This game is only a thing because of the masterpiece that was the first. And now, they s*** on the original characters, mislead the fans with dirty tactics in the promotional material, and just to complement, now the bad reviews are from bots and bigots.

    May some ppl didnt get through thier anger and give the game poor score, but its didnt change the fact that, the game, the story, the characters its so real, i see my self and many ppl in it.

    Sad, I was a huge fan of the first game and they decide to alienate half their fan base for a political message that didn't fit the story. While the graphics, music and gameplay are still amazing, the story which is what made us all fall for the first game is complete **** and is horribly written , characters are acting completely out of character and there are plot holes left and right .

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If you are a Last of us part 1 fans, you will feel physical pain and sick in the stomach when you play as Abby, after her brutally murder Joel(because he killed her father in part 1) within 100 mins into the game.

    Also worth mention that Joel just walk into a room full of strangers(Abby and her friends), without any hesitation or suspicious, and said to everybody, “Hey, I’m Joel.” and JUST LIKE THAT, get himself killed. :)

    Will never purchase any game from naughty dog from now on to the end of my life:)    … Expand

Not only do they have critics in their pockets, but they have Metacritic, Twitter, Facebook, Amazon, Google, and all the individual news media outlets saying this game is "Amaze-balls, lesbian he-woman #1!?!?", when it's obvious that noone is rating it positively except the ones that want to see its political messages get pushed. Isn't it crazy the level of propaganda and control that coalition has? Now imagine if they exerted that control to demonize and dehumanize an entire group of people. Wouldn't that be something. 101 Critic reviews and not one of them is negative. Not one of them agrees with the 40000 users that took the time to downvote this game. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
