    Don't listen to people that didn't actually played the game and will just spoil it right away. If you played the first one you need to play the second part to understand everything that happened. If you take the time to explore every corners you'll see how much the lore of the game is rich and make sense while playing it.     The artists behind the graphics deserve praise but writing is absolutely awful. I was a huge fan of the first one, was so excited for this release and preordered just to have this disappointment. It has such potential but unfortunately it is a massive fail.     The second game of the franchise The Last of Us Part II is a Masterpiece

    Why? Let me Explain

    We see the Death of a Character we love, like he meant nothing and everyone complained about that, but do you all realize that is deeper than we thought?
    Joel's Death show to us that he isn't a hero, not in Abby's eyes, and in Ellie's eyes he isn't a hero for sure either, he don't need a hero's death, because they wanted to Joel's death in the game, leave unfinished business for Ellie, she doesn't forgive him yet and saying all those stuff to him really get her, she feels guilty, she feels like the one person who loved her the most and did everything for her, is dead, and the only thing she thinks she is able to do, is go after revenge, and that way she is losing her human side, just like Abby, The Last of Us Part II show to us that Love can lift through it all, in the end, Ellie's love for Joel and realizing he isn't coming back and that she is alone, is a Heartbreaking scene and an amazing scene, the story was builded perfectly, The Last of Us Part II obviously wouldn't be like The Last of Us, for me it was bigger, and better, The Last of Us will always be in my heart, but The Last of Us Part II became my favorite game of all time until now    … Expand

    10 veriyorum, ama bence oyun 9.5 lik fakat insanlar oynamayıp düşük verdikleri için oyun puanı düşmüş. Şahsen oyunu bitirip güzel buldum bence abby ye biraz daha az yer verilse daha iyi olurdu.

    I have so much expectations going into the game. Especially the story of Ellie and Joel. I wanted to see the character developments of Joel and Ellie five years after the first game timeline. The dissapointments then came after the horrible sequence where we have to see the horrible story. Such a dissapointment. Last of us 2 has great new game mechanics that make fighting enemies much more fun and unique and the play style mirrors that of the first last of us. However the story is DOG **** and no matter how much i enjoyed the gameplay,mechanics,graphics it does not do justice for how poorly this story was put together. 7 years too see joel killed off in the first hour or so and not even a meaningful death that's what hurts the most.
    gonna try n leave a 10 instead of a 3 too see if it will actually post the review and if u see its positive u will know it worked.

    Quite frankly some of the reviews on here are utterly absurd.

    This game represents the pinnacle of video gaming. Offering unparalleled, gut wrenching challenging gameplay coupled with beautiful graphics.

    Be in no doubt. This is the best video game ever made. Do not let the inaccurate reviews on here dissuade you. Thankyou Naughty Dog.

I think the hate comes from many people that didn’t want a second game, but in my opinion, a continuation was needed. Overall I can say that The Last of Us had a better story, but the second part has better gameplay and the best graphics and animations I’ve ever seen. I never noticed something i didn’t like in part 2. It’s on a good way to become my favorite game of all time...

    And not 10/10 damn or 3/10 **** review bombing! And if you want to get it buy it for 40€ no more!

    Gameplay / Graphics (games made with hard difficulty) :
    Let's start with that, the gameplay is very good the sensations we have with Ellie ("TITLE"), are very good, the shooting sensations are pretty well managed, the fights with the infected are sometimes intense especially when you're going to face the boss (yes he's got one), it's going to give you a hard time.
    Fights with scar/wolf humans are very intense because the enemies know how to organize themselves very well and they will be ruthless with you, especially the scar.
    But in the penultimate third of the game, we don't know why the Wolves become dumb... sometimes they watch walls (WTF?), this part was rush during development? (and some small bugs seen here and there that will probably be fixed).

    The Graphics are beautiful Naughty Dogs manages their engines very well, especially the faces and expressions of the actors, superb (after that I prefer a little more Uncharted 4 in terms of graphics, a slap in the face. Maybe the sets?)

    Screenplay [BIG SPOIL NOW]:
    We meet Ellie and Joel and the others 4 years later in Jackson at camp, after the events of the first game. [Ellie knows the truth about what happened at the hospital and the fireflies at the end of the first and Joel has no regrets about what he did at that time.]

    Ellie goes on a routine patrol with Dina, everything is going great, they find a place to rest and do their business ;)
    But Jesse (a character we see more in the game), finds them with the information that Joel and Tommy still haven't come back so they go back to find them, but only Joel is captured with Tommy, and then what happened... Ellie wanting to save Joel in the place where he is, she finds herself trapped by Joel's kidnappers, stuck and beaten she is in front of Joel bloody almost dead, Abby (a very important character in the story) killed Joel in front of Ellie's eyes by revenge because her father was killed by Joel when he was going to operate Ellie 4 years ago (Abby's father was the surgeon). Then Ellie will lead her quest for revenge, in the direction of Seattle. (I made HUGE shortcuts)

    Although the basic scenario is rather classic in its treatment, it is very well written because we will live (obviously) Ellie's adventure during the 3 days in Seattle and will go back up the trail to Abby killing one by one those who captured Joel (followed by "flashbacks" between the days of the moments lived between Joel and Ellie in the past), we see Ellie falling little by little in the spiral of hate (I won't go into details play it or watch the movie version that will be on youtube soon to see it. )
    And that's where the surprise of the scenario comes in because we will also play Abby what she lived during the 3 days in Seattle or we will also understand her motivations that pushed her to do that (via "flashbacks" also cut between the days, besides we start with her the day her father died, it lasts anyway 2 good hours), she will also see during her adventure her friends die either by learning it, by seeing their corpses or by living it.

    In spite of my spoils I will not tell you certain passages of the game which is very important or essential, I also take care not to tell you the end which will divide you and which also divided me, but I understand.

    CONCLUSION:
    The game is a very good technical performance, it's beautiful and you don't get bored in front of the game, Abby is superbly well written, I wouldn't say more ;)
    I understand Ellie's motivations, the links she has and has had with Joel are very important, the game is sometimes sad, sometimes joyful (it plays a lot on the Nostalgia of the first one), and a lot of hatred it can divide people and it will, the end is what it is, it is very open but again it divides.
    And I understand that people can't understand it, but as Joel said: "I would have liked it to be different too, but that's the way it is."    … Expand

    If I were to describe 30% of the writing in 2 words, I choose 'Trying Hard' ...seems like some people (whom i think has attention deficiency lol) is forcing to the whole writing team the idea of accepting a new norm, which by the way is actually being accepted several years ago in the real world, duh.70% of the story flow is awesome (balance of karma stuff) btw so kodus to the writers on that part.

    did i enjoy it? yes i enjoyed it
    was i annoyed of some 'ideals'? yes pretty much

    Excellent gameplay. Seen a lot of bad reviews and I think this purely due to an early plot point. Needlessly badly reviewed. Very cinematic game. Wonderful characterization, and obviously great graphics. Would definitely recommend and ignore the bad reviews. Make your own mind up about the story but I had fun.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Amazing! If you liked the first one then you’ll love this, it’s more of the same but bigger, faster, more detailed, more immersive! The story isn’t as good as the first one but it’s a different game, it does however feel like a continuation of the story from the first game and certain events that take place however terrible they may be you can perhaps understand why those involved wanted to do what they did! It’s by no means a bad story, it’s not bad at all it’s just different but still fantastic!! Makes you think is revenge ever worth it? The way the game invokes emotion is unreal, I had stopped playing a couple of times as it was all too much! I felt drained in the same way you’d expect the characters to be tired! Where in the first game you could strategically hide in one location for as long as you like whilst planning your next move, in part 2 they NPC’s are looking for you and will find you! This keeps you on your toes constantly! The gameplay is effortless and everything you want to do, can be done! On a technical level, it’s a masterpiece, i look at the reflections and although i know they didn’t use ray tracing, the reflections are just that good! The frame rate is solid 30fps in 1440p on the Pro and only the only time it ever dipped was when i was in water! Which i might add accounts for about 2 mins of the 30hours in game.
    This game is a must have, if you don’t get it then it’s you’re loss entirely! Honestly 10 out of 10 and possibly the best game of this generation and one of the top ten greatest games ever released!    … Expand

    Сюжет: Ощущение, что писали нейросети)) Как вызвать максимальную драму? Убить любимого персонажа. Как придать мотивацию ГГ убивать и двигаться вперёд? Заставить мстить. Какая модная повестка в геймдеве? Борьба за права меньшинств. В 1-ой части был мощный понятный всем твист, ради которого вся игра и строилась. В данной части твисты заключаются в понимании мотивации персонажей... думаю большинство их даже не заметят))) Вообщем сюжет не для всех, который скорее всего и был создан для разделения аудитории.

    I understand the hate and controversy of the game but in the end, whether you like it or not it's an impressive game. It goes without saying that it's Naughty Dog's best-looking game and pushes the ps4 to its limits.     Enfim, acho que esse é um dos ou o melhor jogo da geração.

    Totally incredible! Didn't think they could make anything as good as Uncharted but Naughty Dog have managed it! Storytelling is fantastic and attention to detail is immaculate. If you own a PS4 then buy it!

Ignore the review bombers, it's an amazing stealth/action/horror game with top class production values and presentation, unparalleled gameplay, and amazing story. Naughty Dog improved every aspect of the first game to some unreal levels, and if grim dramas are your cup of tea, this is a game for years to come.

    There is definitely wokeness to the story, but its presented in a tasteful and unforced manner, really, and it largely gets lost in everything else, it's a huge game that has logical places for all its elements. It absolutely doesn't not dilute the overall impression TLOU2 makes. As of controversial Abby, she is a great character in her own right, and unlike the neckbeards would have you believe, she isn't transgender.

    Do yourself a favour and play TLOU2, it's worth every minute.    … Expand

    It’s beautiful and the game play is more creative and has more options than the first one. The scenery is incredible as always. There’s a lot of character tension and empathy building (maybe that’s what all the haters are trying to resist? Experiencing conflicting feelings?) Love it, love it, love it.

    Я рыдал как ё*аная с*чка, когда Джоэла убили. И это хорошо.
    Что насчёт Эбби. Она крайне противоречивый персонаж. Многие её ненавидели, проклинали, но в итоге, когда Элли совсем одичала, Эбби оказалась куда лучше. Месть взяла верх над Элли и затуманила её разум. Под конец, я даже стал её [Элли] ненавидеть.
    В начале игры за Эбби я хейтил её как только можно. Однако, по ходу раскрытия персонажа моё мнение о ней кардинально изменилось. Скажите мне хоть одну игру, где протагонист становится плохим, а антагонист, хорошим? (Если такие есть, то извиняюсь, просто не вспомнил таких. Но это не отменяет того, что это в играх можно встретить крайне редко)
    Что по оценкам:
    - Графика 10/10, лучше уже не будет.
    - Геймплей 7/10, слишком затянута миссия с Левом и концовка.
    - Сюжет 9/10, крайне редко в играх можно увидеть падение главного героя (Элли, не Эбби), как личность. Мне это нравится.
    Не было бы тут лесбийских поцелуев, а также секса, можно было бы поставить и 9.5/10    … Expand

Obviusly as other reviews, in the history is kind they kill joel and that can give you a shock, also the history is about revenge which is not that original. But I dont think that is enough to make the game bad. Actually is pretty entetrtaining, no as challenging as the first one, even in survivor difficulty. i hope they introduce a grounded difficulty as the firts one.… Expand

But, it is still really Amazing. Ellie story is done in my opinion a well done way. Everything from the flashback to the ending made sense to me. Now the only critic I had for this game was that we play as Abby. To me I understand why we play as Abby because there are two sides to every coin but, I wish her story would have been cut down to make room for Ellie's story instead. Or better yet make her story a cutscene based story happening while Ellie story is happening. Another thing I see people complaining about is the ending and I get that but it makes sense. During the prologue Joel sings to Ellie before giving her the guitar. He states that " If I ever were to lose you. I'd surely lose myself." To me that is exactly what happened to Ellie. We see at the beginning of the story that Ellie is just trying to live a normal life the best she can. But, when Joel dies that world is shattered. When she deals with all the people that helped kill Joel you see she starts to break down because of some of the actions she took. Then we finally track down Abby again where we have our last fight. WHen she is about to kill Abby I believe when she sees Joel she realises that if she countinuess she will lose herself. She will be no better than Abby was. Risking her friends lives just to get revenge. When she returns to Her and Dinas farm, Dina and JJ are not there. She even tries to play the song Joel sang to her during the prologue but she is unable to since she lost her ring and pinky finger to Abby in their last fight. She truly did lose herself but she came back from it. Then we see Ellie put her guitar down and we see her walking away from the house from the window hopefully heading back to Jackson to possibly reunite with Dina and JJ. It makes sense that Ellie after everything finally realises that she did lose herself and now she is on a path to regain the person she once was. This ending to me made sense and was actually a fitting end to the story. This game was not perfect but, I don't believe it should receive all the hate it's getting. If you loved the first game I Highly Recommend that you get this game as well. This is definitely another top notch game by NaughtyDog.… Expand

A very dark and gritty extension to The Last of Us story that grips you the entire way through giving you so many questions that unravel and are answered as you play on. A bold choice for the franchise which I think really paid off. Gameplay is the same old last of us yet improved in every way, allowing you to freely explore the apocalyptic world as you so choose and discover memories of the oast. Personally I feel the game is better played yourself rather than watching a play through, but that's your choice. And surprisingly I actually enjoyed playing as Abby and seeing the human sides of the people that you were after throughout the game. Even though I felt like as a player I spent a little bit too much time playing as Abby. Overall the game is not as bad as it was made out to be, by leaks and by the reviews, and the “agenda” that almost every negative review mentions isn’t as prominent as they cry about and is not a large factor in the game. The trans character is briefly touched on in one sentence and that’s all that’s mentioned of it, even though it was hinted at during gameplay. Also not a Naughty Dog dick rider, just loved the game.… Expand

    For me, it was incredible from start to finish, and I went in with very high expectations as the first game is one of my favorites. Part II was brutal, intense and surprisingly unconventional in terms of the way it tells its story, especially once it reaches the halfway point. The game play isn't too bad it has the odd issue with a few bugs. Though it was only released a few days ago. So, they may patch a few who knows at this point. As for the story it isn't that bad at all it makes sense some disbanded fireflies wanted Joel dead. For killing the only person who could make a vaccine and one of their fathers. It's a revenge mirror storyline in a way. If you look at the protagonist's team and antagonist's team. They, are very similar both driven by the same force. Cold hard revenge at any cost.Which in a way messes Ellie up a bit mentally after she kills the one woman at the aquarium place It really does mess her up.(she literally vomits on the floor). I would say it a very harsh story it makes you hate the antagonists then, almost understand them. It makes you see how revenge can be all consuming. If you were wondering about Abby she is a muscular, straight female character.… Expand
