    Grandísimo juego, gráficos brutales, gameplay de ensueño, la historia peor que la del juego anterior pero aún así muy interesante y arriesgada en ciertos puntos. El juego no es perfecto, pero es de lo mejor de la generación, un imprescindible.
    Por otro lado siento verdadera lástima por todos aquellos a los que sus prejuicios y las ganas de hacer escarnio les impiden degustar, reflexionar    Grandísimo juego, gráficos brutales, gameplay de ensueño, la historia peor que la del juego anterior pero aún así muy interesante y arriesgada en ciertos puntos. El juego no es perfecto, pero es de lo mejor de la generación, un imprescindible.
    Por otro lado siento verdadera lástima por todos aquellos a los que sus prejuicios y las ganas de hacer escarnio les impiden degustar, reflexionar o simplemente disfrutar de este juego. Más allá de la homofobia y transfobia, más que evidente por parte de algunos de los usuarios esta web, el resto que critica la historia con notas tan negativas realmente no sé si sabe en que saga está y de que compañía es, esto es Naughty Dog señores, y a ND se la suda lo que quisiéramos o lo que vosotros creáis que son las mejores maneras de llevar x o y personaje, han contado la historia como lo han sentido. Y es esto lo que hace cualquier autor con personalidad y una idea clara y fija, escribir y crear lo que quiere y no lo que os da la gana a vosotros.
    Ni la historia es tan mala (ya digo que es mejor la del 1), ni se os intenta meter inclusividad por todos lados, a nadie le importa lo que penséis o no.
    Juego de 9.5 la nota que le da la prensa, le subo al 10, porque si, porque me corresponde subirle medio punto si me sale y me ha divertido jugarlo, que lo ha hecho.

    Wow Meisterwerk. Das Game ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das beste Spiel was ich je aus der Playstation 4 gespielt habe. Die Arbeit von Naughty Dog ist ein absolutes Meisterwerk. Was die Story angeht war ich auch teilweise sehr schockiert. Aber insgesamt Wahnsinn. Hier stimmt alles.

    Last of us part 2 played with second generation controls at best .. clunky controls , dumb ai stealth is practically useless, you can practically beat the whole game with a beer bottle .. you literally Attack with one may be two buttons in the whole game .... it’s 2020 and the whole entire game your mashing one may be two buttons!!! This is not the ps1/ps2 era ...     Let me tell you about a few small things hidden away in this game.
    Overall movement is fluid and feels natural. The controls are extremely intuitive and anything you don't like, pretty much anything at all, can be changed or turned off.     The rope mechanics. Just using rope in this game feels like...well it feels real. Flexible materials in games are usually very fake looking. But here, it's much more convincing. For instance it needs to be bunched up before you can throw it, and the way it wraps around objects is nothing I've seen in gaming before. (you can use google to confirm this for yourself)

    The guitar. My God, the guitar. People are actually playing entire songs on it. (Again, you can google to confirm this) I'm no good at instruments but it pulls me back to when I was a kid, trying guitar lessons, It's a great feeling and it makes for a very good break in the action, helping with the pacing of the game.

    As for the story, that's what has some people really riled up. It's true that some people won't like the direction the story takes. However that does not make it bad. Play for yourself and decide for yourself, because everything else about this game is indisputably phenomenal. Don't let the salty boys convince you into missing out on this extremely well made game.    … Expand

Either way I’m not giving this a higher score because of how beautiful it is, I expected the game to look beautiful and violent.     This game is great, it has improved a lot from the previous installment. It has amazing graphics with improved combat. You can argue that the story is weaker than it was in the last one but it’s much up to personal preference. You can say that the story is weak but you can’t deny that it is well acted and it’s very emotional game.     I think this game is amazing, the map is gigantic, there's plenty of action, drama, plays like a really long movie. I liked it a lot. Kudos to every person that worked in this game, it's a job well done from all of you.

    I don't get the hate the game gets for the "SJW agenda" stuff. Is the main Charakter lesbian? Yes. Is the main antagonist a muscular women? Yes. I just don't get why that is a problem. Do all you haters really want the same Standard male hero male antagonist story for the rest of your life? Well for me this game is a Masterpiece.

    I waited almost an entire decade for this liberal disgrace of a game. What did this world only turn into? I wanted a zombie game. Not some kind of disgusting liberal love triangle sitcom.

    I want to start off that I was never a big fan of the original game's gameplay. I found it a bit dull and repetitive and it never really made me want to play it again. I only played my second play through recently so that I could have the storyline fresh in my mind before playing part II. The story on the other hand was very well done. I would give the original an 8 overall for a score. Part II pretty much follows the exact same gameplay and I again I found it dull and repetitive. It gets really boring when 40% of your gameplay is scrounging for supplies. I also think they should have had more development with the monsters. Whenever they stuck with that it was scary, tense, and fun. I think the most fun I had with the gameplay was fighting that big monster. It was different and it caught me by surprise. Fighting mostly humans got boring quickly.

    Graphics/Sound

    Graphically the game looks amazing. There is a cutscene where it shows Abby waking up and it looked so real I thought it was a video. I also like realistic violent animations they added. A lot of people complained about that but I loved it. I also loved the little touches of humanity they sprinkled in such as people yelling their comrade's name when they died or when Ellie sneaks a stealth kill and she whispers things like "Got you f**ker!" I chuckled every time after a kill when Ellie would say something like, "Dick!" . LOL It was so Ellie, I loved it. The sound of people gurgling and choking on their own blood as you sliced their throats, it was so creepy and awesome. Job well done on that front. The music was great and the guitar playing was also a nice touch.

    Acting

    Top-notch as expected. All of the actors involved are triple A VO and they even had Jeffery Wright who is a triple A Hollywood actor in a bit part. I thought that was cool.

    Story

    This is where the game falters, I think. The overall story and morale were good it was just executed quite poorly. A lot of the mistakes made by the characters were just so strange it made it hard for people to believe it. Even though I loved playing as Abby it just didn't feel right switching over to her character when you reached the crescendo with Ellie. I heard someone else say it might have been better if they alternated chapters and I agree. I think that would have worked. I also think they were quite heavy-handed with the debbie downers (depressing aspects). It's like the game's main mission was to make you feel as miserable as possible. I like a sad story but this was just a bit over the top.

    Conclusion

    Mediocre gameplay with little improvement from 8 years ago (which wasn't that great to begin with) coupled with a flawed narrative, plants this game firmly in Meh-sville.

    I didn't look at any review before finishing this game so this is my honest opinion. Also, my real score for the game is 9.5. Graphics are amazing. Music is good but not as good as the first one. Story is great too but the order of way that they told the story was the weak part. Gameplay is great too but it can get repetitive sometimes. Overall I highly recommend the game.

    I just wanted to respond to all the people review bombing the game, I understand you didn't get the story you wanted. But it wasn't your story to tell in the first place. You're just a passenger. And giving a 0 to a technical/acting masterpiece just because you didn't get what you wanted is just plain stupid, be at least honest with yourself.

    Furthermore the first game lived in a morally grey area from the get go. If you ever thought Joel and Ellie were "good guys" you clearly have no idea what TLOU1 was about, and I kinda feel sorry for you.

    Also sexuality and woke themes aren't pushed in the slightest during the game so whoever still bring that up clearly have not played the game and just hopped on some hate bandwagon for the sake of being a miserable sad human being.

    I enjoyed every second of this game, even tho it's not a "fun" game, it's a game that pushes you to understand complex feeling, feeling you are forced to embrace even if you didn't want to, but that are never gratuitous or out of context. It's a mature game, and clearly there are a lot of gamers out there that do not have such maturity to even grasp the basic elements of it.

    This game is also not perfect and I would have liked a couple gameplay additions like a way to recall the horse or an attack from above tomb raider style.

    In the end I would give it a solid 9. But I will give it a 10 to make up for the embarrassment the hateful and ignorant part of the gaming community has brought to the table.    … Expand

Sure it could use some refinement here and there but it's pretty solid as it is.     They fool us with heroes. When you finally end the story with Ellie the game restarts in critical moment with person you hate. I just dint want to play for Abby. Naughty Dog not even put her on the game poster, but they give to her half of the game. I hate this game!

This is the kind of game that pushes the gaming industry further and allow for inspiration. Naughty dog again proves that they are the best game developers

    Хорошая игра, которая может держать интригу. Тебе всегда будет интересно, как закончиться новая история старых персонажей. Приятная графика и интересный геймплей затягивает на долго. Всем рекомендую.

El 7 es porque a pesar de todo, el juego logra su principal cometido, el cual es hacerte sentir triste, impacyado, q te den ganas de vengarte, hacerte enojar.     I love this game on so many levels. The longer time passes to think about it, the more I like it. As I was playing, it was definitely difficult to see what the characters went through. But I love the way it stands for empathy and understanding others point of view. I was extremely sad to see my favorite character die, but I understand it is a zombie apocalypse video game and Life isI love this game on so many levels. And if they did, they wouldn't give it a chance. This has been my most anticipated game ever. The first one is my 2nd favorite game of all time but i genuinely think that this game is better. The story is better, the gameplay is leaps and bounds better and the characters are better. We barely know these new characters but I cared about them as if they were my real friends.
    The relationship between Dina and Ellie is everrrything. They have so much chemistry together. Even the relationship between Owen and Abby was very well done. And let me just say this. The fact that I cared about Abby after she did what she did is crazy. The writing for this game is just insanely good.
    The ending for this game is great. From Abby and Ellies fight scene all the way to Ellie walking away from the country house leaving her guitar there is masterful. So much to unwrap with this game. One of my favorite things about this game is the overall lesson. Don't let revenge consume you. Revenge is a big thing in this game. Abby got revenge for her father and that caused all of her friends to die and for her and her new friend to almost die. Ellie wanted to get revenge for Joel and she lost Jesse, her fingers, and almost Tommy, Dina and her life. She DID try to let it go but she kept remember Joel dying and developed PTSD over it so to put those nightmares to bed, she decided to go get that revenge and even that almost killed her. Ellie thankfully didnt go through with killing Abby and i think that was a good move. Even though Abby deserved it in Ellies eyes, she let her go.
    I also really like that this game shows that Joel was the real bad guy all along. Never thought that I would think of him as a bad guy but this game did it.


    This game uses flashbacks perfectly. I don't usually like flashbacks in my movies, games or what have you. It always feels like padding but here, it has a meaning and feels necessary to the plot. The last flashback we got..oopph what a tear jerker man.


    When Joel sang that song to Ellie in the beginning "If I were to ever lose you, I'd surely lose myself." That right there pretty much summarizes the game. Ellie lost herself. I love that little bit. The graphics are pretty great. The only con I have with them is that Owen didnt look as good as the others.


    Don't listen to the haters for this game. They just can't get over the death of Joel and completely write off the entire game cuz of it. They just wanted the same exact game as the first one. And to you homophobes out there that think just because theres a gay character in a game it means they're automatically pushing the agenda. **** you. Grow up. This **** should be looked at as normal. You are whats wrong with the world. Graphics- 9.5/10

Nothing is written in black and white, all characters are gray: clearly developers wanted us to feel like someone's antagonist,Naughty Dog nails it, it's a wonderful game. In a world full of games we choose how the plot goes it's wonderful how in this one not having a choice is a narrative choice wich tells a lot about the characters.

    Later in game we play as another character that's not Ellie. Very courageous choice from Naughty Dog, and though I loved this character I think most of people who will dislike the game will come from here. The only downside of the game in my opinion it's that sometimes this part seems like a fetch quest: go here, go there. Everytime you go here or there something important does happen, but I think the wandering in this part could be a little shorter. And that's the only reason it's not a perfect ten for me, the rest is absolutely amazing.

    Beautiful graphics, amazing gameplay. Environments are stunning, from huge open areas to narrow and dangerous passages, from destroyed cities with collapsed builinds to small abandoned towns. Two new kinds of infected and a huge improvement in AI. Different groups of enemies behave different to you. In my first run it took me almost 23 hours to finish in the easiest difficult. For a linear game, that's a huge story arc.

    Most people who are giving bad reviews didn't even play the damn game. Most say something about the trans character and the muscular lady. They are different characters, so from here you can say a lot about what's happening.

    Don't be fooled by anyone, the game is awesome. Not a perfect ten for me, but something like a 9.8.    … Expand

Or they've been twisted because of someone's bias and are far different onscreen than what people have written about them or talked about in a YouTube video.

    Unfortunately, so many people are missing out on playing the sequel or posting a review on here without even playing the game because of these things. That being said the game is incredible and in some ways even better than the original. The graphics, environments, level design, music, pacing, combat, and UI are all some of the best of this console generation. Now for the part that everyone seems to be complaining about and why they're review bombing every single user review site.

    The storyline and new characters introduced in this game are amazing. The first Last of Us is one of my all-time favorite video games, if not my favorite, and I've beaten it multiple times. I never expected this game to meet the bar that the first game set but somehow it did. I do not want to post any spoilers but I will say that the game is directly tied to the decision that Joel makes at the end of the first game. For some reason, it appears that many people forget that the decision he made to kill multiple Fireflies in order to save Ellie was morally ambiguous. Joel's decision to save one life over the lives of the Fireflies and potentially hundreds if not thousands of people that would have been saved because of a cure for the virus was not a black and white ending. Joel and Ellie were not and are not in the sequel morally-pure characters. It's what makes them good characters and not stereotypes of ones usually represented in stories about zombies or virus outbreaks.

    That is exactly where the sequel picks up. Joel has to wrestle with the consequences that he faces for this decision and how it will affect everyone around him especially Ellie. The narrative in this game is told out of order as the player weaves through multiple playable characters' storylines. What makes this game's truly incredible and unique though is how it shows the side of the antagonists. We get to see how Joel and Ellie's oftentimes extremely violent actions impact the lives of the people they kill as well as their family and friends. I don't want to say much more than that due to potentially stating any spoilers. If you've heard spoilers or rumored plot points give the game a fair chance. You can't truly experience a game until you've played it. If you've managed to avoid all spoilers then go in with an open mind. I highly doubt that you won't enjoy it in some way.

    Naughty Dog has done the impossible. Each game in their history has continually raised their bar for their ability to tell outstanding stories through the medium of video games. They've learned from their previous games and created one of the most highly polished games of this console generation and all time. Don't miss out on experiencing it.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am a casual gamer who plays for fun and I am writing this review based on my own experience with the game. I would ideally give it a 9.5 but that is not an option. Hence the 10.

    I am splitting my review into 3 sections. Gameplay, graphics ad Story. The story section will contain major spoilers.

    1. Gameplay:
    Overall, there were some major improvements to the gameplay compared to the previous game. For a major portion of the previous game, the goal of the player was to find the fireflies. Every time we got closer to the goal, a sick twist of events would push the goal a bit further and we were forced to play on. Only in the final act of the game, there are a bunch of twists and turns that shifts the focus of the player from the main story and throws in some variety. A good example of this is the part where Ellie is kidnapped by the Cannibals.

    This is completely different in part 2. This game is split into smaller missions and each mission has smaller goals along with one final mission goal. This made the gameplay experience more engaging.

    The game also throws in more variety by adding more uniqueness to various enemy types. There are some new infected as well as human enemy types and each of them engages with you differently. If you are someone who likes to take a stealthy approach, you can overhear the conversations of the human enemy types and sometimes they are really interesting. I also felt that the map design of this game encourages stealth more than the previous game. Engaging with the enemies in combat is also great fun as you get to handle a larger set of weapons while you play as the 2 different characters in the game.

    The game has many environmental puzzles you had to solve to open safes and locked doors with loot behind them. The environmental puzzles were not very hard to crack but you would easily miss the looting area if you don't make a conscious effort to look for them. The puzzles you had to solve to open safes were repetitive but fun.

    I did find the guitar portions mildly annoying, but it was connected to the climax beautifully. So I will give it a pass.

    2. Graphics:
    The outdoors were beautiful and breathtaking whereas the indoors were rich and filled to the brim with details and easter eggs. The game lets you play in a multitude of settings like lush grasslands, forests, swamps, burning village, stormy sea, shaky sky bridge etc. to name a few. The top-notch graphics used to render these environments in detail makes the game more engaging and fun. The game sometimes gives you areas to walk around and explore and appreciate the beauty with no threats around. The character animations for combat, restocking, upgrading weapons etc. were also extremely detailed.

    3. Story: (spoiler alert)
    In short, it is a story of 2 people that are thirsty for revenge against each other and how their lives are impacted by it.

    Joel, the fan-favourite protagonist of the previous game is killed brutally within the first hour of gameplay by a character called Abby who is this game’s antagonist. This lets the player take control of Ellie on a 3-day adventure to track and kill Abby. During the course of these 3 days, you come face to face with allies of Abby. As a player, you get to kill these allies one by one in typical videogame fashion.

    Finally, when you come face to face with the antagonist, the game decides to play a cruel joke and makes you play the 3 days again as the antagonist. Although this portion might not succeed in making players like the antagonist, it helps you get a better understanding of how Ellie’s actions of the past 3 days have impacted Abby’s life. The game reserves some of the better action sequences for this portion of the game as a way of bribing the player to complete this part of the game. The cruel joke continues as the player is forced to beat up Ellie to the last inch of her life while playing as Abby.

    Eventually, the player is given back the control of Ellie so that we can get our long-overdue payback. At this point I was itching to get my hands on Abby. The cruel joke continues as the game presents me with the opportunity to get my revenge but at the same time, it manages to convince me to not wanting to do it. Until this point I was eager to beat the S**t out of Abby, but when I was supposed to ‘press square repeatedly’ to get the kill, I could not get myself to do it. Ellie uses the final bit of goodness in her vengeance filled psyche to show mercy to Abby. Abby rides away into the sunset. Yes, the antagonist kind of wins.

    The game then ends with a scene involving Joel that manages to further elevate our love for our favourite protagonist from the first game.

    Verdict:
    Apart from a few plot holes, I thoroughly enjoyed the emotional roller coaster the game took me on. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a work of fiction that emotionally manipulates you. Others might not enjoy this.    … Expand

    Masterpiece. You can't say otherwise for a game like this. You feel the tension from beginning to end and the story is so good.

    Perfect, beautiful, super emotional, brutal, shocking, brave and revolutionary in every way. This was an experience. Best game I ever played.
    Sadly it's receiving so many hate cause those so called ,,agendas” things that really aren’t here and false rumours that went out before release.

    This was an amazing game with an unpredictable and challenging story. More of the gameplay I loved from the first game, but refined and perfected. Beautiful graphics that take full advantage of the PS4's hardware. Exciting, emotional, and provocative. Do not listen to crybabies on the internet, try the game out for yourself.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
