Naughty dog, you challenge the game and the player. This is the strongest antinomy in the history of the game, the richest expression of emotions. Even if your work is still so rough and scribbled, I still want to praise you.
But you have made the most serious mistake, that is, when I told Hideo Kojima's behavior in those years, it can be said to be black history.
I will still give you a very high score to gradually encourage you, but hope you can become truly brave.

I truly feel Naughty Dog have broken TLOU for us and destroyed all the emotional attachment we had with Ellie going into TLOU Part 2. We all knew Joel was likely to die. Even before the leaks (which I swear I never read). So many YouTubers had already predicted it and Neil had said TLOU2 was going to be all about Ellie. It was barely that. 50% of it was a pointless grind of the new gameplay/mechanics and characters aka Abby. Come on guys, Abby was just back-story.

In my honest opinion, the game was a jumbled mess. Too much flip-flopping back and forward in time. Joel was killed too early, the Abby playtime should have been shorter as we all just wanted to get through it and get back to playing Ellie.

So much of the story could have been played in a different sequence and have the same effect. Hell we could have even played as a Seraphite !!

TLOU2 just wasn't as engaging. It didn't draw you in like the first game, it didn't get inside you and create the same emotional bond/attachment. Simply put, the story telling was AWFUL.
    Environments 10/10 Mechanics 9.9/10 AI 9/10 Music 10/10 Story 1/10 Characters 8/10 Transitions 11/10 (best ever) Gameplay 9/10 Melee 10/10

WTFH was that final fight with Abby in the water all about ?? Plain dumb and felt very rushed.
TLOU was a true masterpiece. This had all the components for a fantastic part 2 building on what the first game started but ultimately fails to deliver.

Great gameplay and graphics never make up for a poor story. I felt more engaged with Uncharted 4 than TLOU Part 2. This game just reminded me how good the first game was and isn't the PS4's swansong in the way I hoped it would be.

First game draws you and pulls all your emotional strings. TLOU Part 2 seems to shove stuff in your face and expect you to be absorbed. It fails.

This review contains spoilers. The Last of Us 2 is a true testament to how not to make a sequel for a game. While gameplay received better animations and such, it mostly remained the exact same and becomes monotonous and predictable over the 25+ hour story. While it’s not bad, you'd hope for a much bigger upgrade or overhaul of crafting and other gameplay mechanics, but many remained completely untouched. But the gameplay isn’t what causes this game to be a failure in my opinion, because that’s not what people really play TLOU for anyways. People play for the characters and story, which is nothing short of disappointing and misguided in this game. The utter lack of respect toward previous or even new characters prevents the player from getting invested in them, and the game fails to utilize the one relationship the player was already invested in going into the game. Instead they demolish that relationship, and never really show it getting back to anything of what it used to be. Most other characters in this game are stagnant and replaceable, and while they have good performances, fail to make me care about them in a meaningful way. That is, until they get brutally murdered on a quest for revenge. By the end of the game I was so numb to violence nothing shocked me anymore, and I’m not sure what the game was even trying to say through all this violence and misery. What I do know is that I feel devastated for Ellie and deep hatred for another character. I truly hope Naughty Dog lets this franchise die in the pit they dug for it. I absolutely loved the first game, but this train wreck wants me to feel depressed for nothing. Some of the lessons it tries to teach seem so stupidly simple I asked myself if I was even hearing it right. All I can hear now is the ringing in my ears after listening to one of my favorite games get pillaged and massacred in the name of “Subverted Expectations”. Do not recommend. Collapse

It is a 10/10 game ... unforgettable at the visual level, literally I thought I was watching and playing a movie, dynamic environments, at the story level I know that it was not easy to integrate so many nuances but they did it in an excellent way, since they did not They only left the comfort zone of a game to sell many copies but concentrated on exposing many traits of the people that we can feel identified, hatred, rancor, love, the relationship father and daughter, doing everything for the person that you love, but also show that although everything is wrong and you think that you are on the side of "good", it is not always like that, it is all about redemption and learning ....... very well accomplished, besides that I appreciate a game that does not only tells typical stories but dares to innovate ... LGBTTTIQ +, various types of love and affection, redemption and learning

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. In the first The Last of Us we were told the story of a post-apocalyptic world provoked by a pandemic that almost killed humanity (The Cordyceps fungus was passed from insects to humans and the latter became Zombies) the story is centered 20 years later and we control Joel Miller who witnessed and survived the outbreak losing his only daughter in the event, 20 years later Joel is in charge of escorting a girl (Ellie) who developed immunity to the infection, both must go through a hostile North America and not only must be fought with the different infected (Zombies), but there are groups of people who fight for resources and their own survival, Along the way, Joel and Ellie, controlled by the player, create a wonderfully developed bond through a solid script that provokes in the player an affinity and affection for the characters (that was the good thing about the first TloU, that despite being a video game, the story is told as if the player is the one who develops the story as it progresses), all these details made The Last of Us Part 1 one of the best video games in history and a reference in this industry, That's why the expectations for this second installment were very high, but after finishing this videogame (almost 50 hours) I feel that they completely ruined the legacy of the first installment, unfortunately videogames with a cinematic cut if they lack a good story the playable factor is completely left out and in this case it's an absolute narrative disaster; it lacks absolutely everything that made its predecessor great and its worst sin is to force the player during the middle of the game to control a character which is impossible not to hate. This is done with the purpose of "understanding" their motivations and provoking "empathy" and in this way justifying their actions which the game NEVER does, not to mention that this part of the story along with its secondary characters do not generate any interest, what they tell leads nowhere except to place the characters for the convenience of the story in a specific point all this added to the linearity of the game makes the game too long and ends up being tedious (I lasted several days without playing this part and I almost decided not to finish it) they would have saved this second half and nobody would have missed it, To top it off, the script destroys Joel (literally) by ruining all the good things that the character had in construction in order to give Ellie the absolute leading role, the message is clearly perceived "Let's finish with the father figure, in this progressive world there is no room for heteropatriarchy" in this way they took out of the equation one of the best characters created in the last years and not content with that the ending is the most anti-climatic thing I have seen in a long time (it doesn't lead anywhere, it doesn't leave the established characters, it doesn't even take the trouble to leave the doors open for a third installment. ..
Frankly I didn't feel like repeating the game and if I did it would be in a very distant time...

    5/10

A final observation which I must make so that stones rain down on me is the FASTIDOSOS! that are being put in with the forced inclusion, and to detail this I must mention the main characters:
Ellie - Lesbian (from the first game it was known and it didn't bother in the least but they already abused the rest of the characters
    Dina - Bisexual
    Lev - Transgender man
Abby - of the main characters she is the only heterosexual woman and she is tomboy at best (those arms are only taken out by steroids and in a post-apocalyptic world it should be very difficult to get those kind of supplements)
I better not tell you what happens to male, straight characters.
This is not inclusion, it is imposition and the only thing that all this achieves is REJECTION, nowadays it is respectable that every individual decides about his sexual orientation or his gender identity and it is good to give them notoriety but we are reaching a point where they want to put everything into the brave, that is not the method, the imposed tolerance does not stop being indoctrination.

The gameplay is also really lame unlike in the predecessor. I was wondering how they pulled that off, until I realized that Naughty Dog has a turn-over of over 70 percent, which means that any talent that had worked at this once great studio has long left for greener pastures, where the company culture isn't disgustingly "woke" and there is no endless crunch.

How could Sony have greenlighted this garbage?! HOW!!!??? This game is so appalling and frustrating it should have never been made. Rabid far-left SJWism has destroyed a once great game developer and it is a shame to see.

Sony should do the right thing and shut Naughty Dog down. They are done, nothing good will ever come out of this studio ever again.

I’ve usually associated gay as being a bit too annoyingly sensitive and too gentle (for lack of a better word...or maybe it’s delicate), but this movie is as gutsy and manly as it can get. But at the same time it steals your heart even though u might not be the same sexual orientation as Ellie u can’t help but sympathize and appreciate that there is love there. There’s so much I want to say it’s funny, the game play is so enjoyable but tbh I gotta keep playing. I think if there are complaints about this move it’s bc some ppl a bit to sheltered (as this generation can be) to appreciate a story with some real struggle and some suffering and I kind of enjoy seeing fruitcakes like that squirm a little.

After finishing: you can tell so much love went into creating this. There is such attention to detail, but at the same time, each step is leading us toward a bigger picture. Its hard for me to see how someone can not like it if they play it through, or even just play it half way through. Understandably I think some people were devastated by listening to some of the leaks, I went on nearly hate site towards the game and liked it, but well before the end of this journey I could see I was hasty in my reaction. It's a better story and more entertaining and more meaningful than most best pictures like Forest Gump, Braveheart, No Country for Old Men...and in comparing it to a book, it its in the same vein thematically as "To Kill a Mockingbird", but I feel even more superior because it was a sequel.

I sympathize to those who heard about leaks and felt their high expectations were crushed. I know a theme of hope leaves you with this feeling that's hard to beat, like at the end of part 1. At the end of part 2, despite the insult you felt to your heart early on, you can tell as a gamer who longed to take a journey, you were deeply respected and loved.

First, lets talk about those 30 hours. **** hell, this game is loooong. I swear to God, they could've easily made 2 games out of all the events and stuff that happens in this game. And absolutely nothing in it feels like "filler" content, the game just bombards you with action after action, twist after twist, it's insane. The game also has more locations and places to explore than I could've ever imagined, it's RIDICULOUS. Not ONE of them looks rushed or anything lesser than a masterpiece in terms of detail and visuals.

Talking about visuals, HOLY **** You played Uncharted 4? Yeah, this game looks considerably better. I don't know how it's possible, but it's true. TLOU 2 has absolutely no right to look this good on a current gen console. The PS4 goes out with a bang with this game.

STORY. Oh, **** What the **** do i even say here... I close my eyes and I see scenes from the game. Play it. Do it and you'll understand. I'm kinda going through my adjectives here, I don't even know how to describe it. The game will take you on a ride and there's no getting off until you reach the end. It's history making kind of story. People will talk about it for years to come.

I left one of the best parts for last... The gameplayyyyy. Visceral. **** Visceral. Absolutely ridiculous what they did here. No other game comes as close in terms of making your enemies feel ALIVE. Making your character feel alive while in combat. No game has did what TLOU 2 has done in terms of gameplay. EVER.

Gameplay wise the game is a huge step up from the first game, it's more intense and far more visceral, especially melee combat which feels meaty. Small additions like being able to go prone open up lots of possibly for stealth, being able to crawl under cars, lay in grass to avoid patrols really opened up your options. The game also feels far more responsive than other games going for this hyper realistic style, gameplay was not sidelined for realism. As with all Naughty Dog games there were also many amazing set pieces with intense action sequences that got the adrenaline pumping.

Visually it's a masterpiece, the cut scenes especially were fantastic. The animations were just on another level, which made the game feel so much more realistic, the tiniest details were paid attention to and it made a big difference overall. The lighting, textures, shadows, character models and particle effects were all so well done, the developers didn't leave any of the PS4s power on the table, and they did it all without too many performance drops.

The audio was top-notch, with industry leading voice work and some of the best atmospheric sounds I've ever heard, which helped the gameplay feel beyond intense at times, certain areas were legitimately terrifying. One small touch which I loved was the fact enemies called out names when you killed their friends, it made them seem more real, instead of just random NPCs.

The story was excellent, with some truly heartbreaking moments and lots of little stories interwoven throughout. You got to see the other side of the story in a way that's rarely the case, which made you reflect on your decisions and made you ask yourself "am I the bad guy?".

Overall The Last of Us II is a masterpiece, and a game you definitely should play, unless you have a problem with a gay lead, like the people review bombing one of the best games ever made ;)

a game worthy of the end of a generation. with a more than justified history. there is not only an incentive for the protagonist, this incentive is also given to the player, who immerses herself in the story and is totally absorbed by her until the end. everyone involved is to be congratulated for this great game as its predecessor was. maybe even more.

Mujeres violentas y masculinizadas matando hombres blancos. Matando y mofando a los creyentes con una crítica superficial.

Neil Druckman debe de ser despedido y que no toque más ningún producto.

This game is amazing, I don't understand why so many people hate it (well maybe I do but it feels like **** reason to hate it so much like this). I have some cons for sure, for example I just couldn't get over playing Abby, I wasn't able to sympathize with her (I know maybe I should, considering all the things even "good" poeple in this game did just like Ellie, but I just love Ellie :D) but it is what it is and pros surely overcome the few cons. It's just sad game af, people should try to understand what ND tried to tell us with this and love it for what it is, don't hate it because you didn't get what u wanted. Yea and maybe they could keep Ellie those two fingers at least :( so she can play the guitar, because that's one thing I didn't get..how could Abby bite off TWO fingers, where did she get the strength for it (her condition in that moment considered), maybe I am just dumb I don't know :D but it feels like it's impossible to bite off two fingers like that, but still..for me 10/10. The game makes you wonder, and at some points question the actions of the protagonist. I am happy to see that in 2020 game development has reqched a level that both graphics and story and gameplay can reach a level that I honestyl care about the whole outcome. This entire presentation cannot be achieved in an earlier generation of consoles due to technology barriers. I urge everyone to try it with an open mind, it will awe you, and you will want more. The only sad thing about this game is that it will leave you wanting more, while there is none alike.
I honestly cannot wrap my head around the reviewers who condemn the game due to the lesbian propaganda. Dude, grow up this is hwat the world is like, whether you like it or not. Regarding the choice of storyline, this is the best way to write it, Some might not like it, but that is the point where it shines the most. Struggle, catharsis, an emotional joyride.

I didn't find the narrative deficient, nor the characters to be "bleak" or "empty". I thought it was a beautifully weaved story with brilliant pacing and deep and rich characters. Characters fueled by hatred, revenge and suffering on every side, brutally contrasted by love and memories of what hope of a better world could have ever meant in a sunken world (in that sense, I think playing the first game is imperative to really comprehend Ellie and Joel’s relationship). I felt for every one of these characters, one way or another. And yes it's about vengeance, but it's so so so much more than that! What Naughty Dog did here is undeniably audacious and risky, but believe me, it is absolutely worth it, precisely because of what makes this medium what it is: immersion. I cried, I laughed, I felt regrets, fear, loss, I mourned, a lot, I felt love and hope, I felt hate and despair. If you read this, don't let the hate get to you. Give this game a try, headphones on, shut the lights and just dive in. Try to forget about the fact that there were leaks in the first place. You gotta play this game for yourself, and if you don't like it, fine, it's okay, why wouldn't it be? I can see why a lot of people don't like it, but don't hate it for the wrong reasons. At the end, I'm just terribly sad that this game got ruined by leaks out of their context. If it weren't for those leaks, a lot of people would have seen it for what it truly is. I tell ya, don’t miss this. You wanted the sequel? Well there it is, that’s it right there and you know what? It was worth the wait. Expand

The Last Of Us Part II is a beautifully tragic story about survival, morality, civilisation, love, loss and hatred.

Its storyline is brutal and intense, and will constantly keep you engaged and wanting to do more. There is never a dull moment, despite the depressing nature of the overall story. It’s ability to make me laugh and cry within the space of 30 seconds was horribly brilliant.

It’s ability to make me laugh and cry within the space of 30 seconds was horribly brilliant. Your emotions are constantly heightened when playing this game, whether that be for good or bad purposes.

Druckmann and his team at Naughty Dog have created a piece of visual art; its graphics and scenery are like no other game I have ever played. I could get lost in the sightseeing of Seattle for hours, searching for every Easter egg and collectible available.

Accompanying this is the most spectacular music and sound design throughout. As a music producer myself, it is something I could only dream of making. (I highly recommend trying the game out with fancy speakers turned up high with the bass booming. You will not regret the experience you encounter).

Not to mention the most incredible acting which also keeps the game both gripping and engaging consistently. Ashley Johnson in particular comes back to play the role of Ellie and she exceeds all expectations. She had a big role to play and could have easily wrecked her reputation as Ellie. However it has been an absolute pleasure playing as her in both games. Next is a newcomer to the game, Shannon Woodward. She plays the role of Dina, providing phenomenal chemistry between her character and Johnson’s. She is the perfect motivator for Ellie and provides such an incredible spark in both characters. Another newcomer to the game, Laura Bailey, provides a new twist to the role of the antagonist known as Abby. Her performance is fresh and exciting, and adds a more humane feel to the stereotypical bad guy. There are many other new additions to this game as well, keeping the storyline constantly evolving the more you delve in. Every character has been written with precise detail and incredible care and it has been wonderful learning about everyone and everything.

The Last Of Us Part II is a game which requires your full attention when playing, or face the fear of missing out on some vital information along the way. I finished the game after a long 21 hours and 46 minutes on moderate difficulty, but felt completely rewarded with my time due to extremely informative cinematic scenes, as well as the ability to search around for artefacts and other collectibles along the way.

Combat was certainly difficult in areas, but required you to think outside the box and therefore challenged me a lot as a player which I admire greatly about this game. Its gruesome clickers never let me off the hook for anything, allowing me to grow as a player with patience, tactical motivation and courage. Other enemies who you will discover later on as well again provide a fresh new feature to this game, truly testing your skills to the maximum.

I would gladly play this game in its entirety again and again. Phenomenal work by Naughty Dog, Druckmann and the rest of the team, and a truly wonderful sequel to follow the first game.

Even uncharted has better game play because at least there is puzzles in that. this is just explore, look for ammo, gun fight, rinse and repeat with nothing new and stupid AI to boot. there is also no real skill tree because you can play the whole game with the pistol no need to level up any of the useless skills and weapons they give you either because it means nothing. the first couple of hours were enjoyable but then the story just starts being really stupid and its poorly written, unbelievable and just rubbish. there are so many other directions they could have took with it that would have made everyone much happier( i'm not really a fan so i don't care they killed off characters, but its just a predictable and shallow story that instead of taking you along with the main charcter, just makes you not really care. I'm all for revenge but its just been done a million times and weak. the main problem with this game though is that so many reviewers have given it 10 out of 10. there is no way even if you are fan of this style of game and this series that this is a ten its a 8 at most mostly for the fact that the game play is so stale, exploration is like a 10 year old game with invisible walls of grass or vines everywhere, you can even jump on cars or anything they haven't scripted which is just lazy game world making for a exploration game there is very little to explore as its all just open air wall corridors on one level. Its like a game from the early 2000's. So how can you give it a 10 that is just poor journalism. another Massive problem with the game is that the level design is so linear and basic its just not acceptable for even a indie game let alone something with this budget in 2020. In the age of Dark souls, Bloodbourne, Tomb Raider and Jedi Fallen order we have a game which sends you down tiny little paths with invisible walls of vines, come ON! and they are giving it a 10/10. I don't understand those reviews, they must be scared if reviewing it poorly other wise they might think people would think they are anti LGBT, and the whole gay thing is way overplayed on this they make such big deal about it, instead of treating it with respect and just being normal about it instead they hinge whole story arcs on it. Graphics and sound are really good but its not enough carry it through the rubbish game play and story, probably wouldn't rate it so low, but the 10's are lies so here is a 2 Expand

The game also overstays it's welcome, for which reason the gameplay just feels repetitive and boring after the 15-20hour mark. And the fact that I was forced to play as an other (uninteresting) character for such a long time, only added to this problem.

Combat scenarios are intense, open-ended and dynamic; enemies have a great variety and require various skillful tactics to defeat. Player freedom, from the settings to gameplay approach, is high. The soundtrack is top-notch, and music is masterfully deployed to match the mood of every scene. Excellent visuals, gameplay, sound and world design are only the start. There’s also some amazing blockbuster-level action set pieces and top-notch production values.

What really matters, why I game, is for the experience. After lots of gaming, I admit I stopped caring about them for a while. Games just started to feel too familiar. This rekindled that fire a thousand times over, by making me feel every single emotion under the sun. Anger, horror, shock, loss, fear, joy, giddiness, disbelief, awe, sadness, excitement, every single thing. Over the 3 or so days I spent with this game, doing little else outside of sleeping and eating, I kept marveling at these emotions it was eliciting, the expansive and twisted and difficult storyline, the amazing characters, the brilliant way fully-realized characters were opposed to each other, the way the game made you do things that made your skin crawl. On the horror side, there were so so so many moments of intense adrenaline. On the storytelling side, I’ve rarely seen a story as moving and as difficult as this, explored in a way that only video games can realize. This is gaming as an artform, and Naughty Dog has secured my loyalty for life.

In the interest of keeping this spoiler-free, I don’t wanna say much else, except buy this game. Play it with an open mind. It is dark and messy and **** and some parts will drain you, anger you, make you question a lot. Every aspect of it is working towards telling one of the most powerful experiential stories I have ever witnessed. As a software engineer by day, and writer by night, both parts of me feel elated to the highest level for having experienced this. Games of this quality rarely occur.. The Last of Us Part 2 is without equal, a generation-defining masterpiece, and my favorite game of all time.

First of all the graphics, the big set pieces and acting in the game are phenomenal, no one can deny it. I really enjoy the gameplay too (some people get burned out by it but that's what happens when you play like 17 hours at a time) the visceral combat is fantastic. But what I am really impressed by is the bold direction they took with the story and the way they structured it. By the end of the game I really grew fond of Abby even though she killed Joel, one of the most beloved video game characters. And even though Ellie's story breaks my heart because I care about her so much that's what I signed up for when I play a game like this. This is a bleak world and no other games leave me devastated by the end like The Last of Us does to the point I don't feel like playing anything else for a while.
I don't know how people were expecting for ND to just make an exact copy to the first game, that was neved going to happen. Also Ellie is not that innocent girl anymore, deal with it, this is a perfect evolution of her story.

Thank you Sony for continuing to give us these experiences , the best in entertainment. And to the people who work for this website, please make it a thing to verify the purchase when giving a score for a game because we get thousands of people who've never played the game

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I felt this game had great potential to be a masterpiece. Coming off the last game, I was expecting a whole new story that will carry me through a story of great loss and remembrance. but instead we got something completely different. We got a story about how revenge can negatively impact the revenge taker. Which is where my problems with the game take shape. The people in my family that have played this game before and after me have also expressed how they felt that they didn't want to play as Abby in the game. They felt she was given too many good weapons, too many good scenes that could have been given to Ellie. But most importantly, they felt they should not be playing as the person who killed Joel, the player you play as in the majority of the previous game. They expressed how they should have been playing as Ellie the entire time and taking revenge against Abby. Not playing as Abby trying to hunt down Ellie. (There is even a scene in the theater in which you have to sneak around and try to attack Ellie, which felt weird as you would think it should have been the other way around. ) I have to agree with my family's input as it did feel weird to be playing as essentially the antagonist of the game for half the game. That's how the best scenes in the game are usually the ones with Ellie. (Such as the museum scene.) Story aside however, graphics in the game are stunning, with the usual Naughty Dog flare. Game-play was OK as they didn't really innovate from the previous game (with the exception of the dodge and prune mechanic). But I have to say that the enemy AI is really good in the game as they will try and flank you any chance they got. But altogether, if they want to improve next time, they shouldn't put in a new character that nobody knows, who kills the main protagonist of the last game, and expect people to play as that character for half the game. Which I completely understand but to give it a zero rating is madness, it may not be for you but rating this as zero is either being salty or a review bomb. The games music, graphics and voice acting are second to none. The tone it sets is one of suspense and shocking awe. The environmental story telling elements are done with care and enhance the experience. The gameplay is similar to the first game but updated slightly. There is something so satisfying and visceral about the stealth take downs.

I haven’t gone into story spoilers as going into this game having not seen the leaks meant the big moments hit like a freight train. I am not a particularly big last of us fan but this is a masterpiece and much like another favourite game of mine death stranding it’s not for everyone but it’s for me. It will boil down to how you like the story presented and for me I loved it.

What can I say? The story is trash and feels more like a love triangle than a survival horror game with meaningful characters that you can grow attached to. The graphics are fluid and the best I have ever seen on the PS4 but the directors must have been smoking something REAL good when deciding to take the story in this direction.

(Spoiler free) The Last of Us part 2, is an experience that will push your buttons, make you hate the developers, make you curse at its charecters, will make you cry because you can't control your anger anymore. Naughty Dog has always rewarded our faith with their games. Except for this one. This game will either build you up to a better you, or make you hate Naughty dog for the rest of your life. Sometimes we get so attached with certain emotions that we lose sight of what's right and what's wrong. This is the game where you will feel wrong when you do the right things, and you will feel right, doing the wrong things. The game will make you question your morals and ethics with everything you go through in this game. With a near flawless gameplay mechanics , and breathtaking visuals you are about to experience something that you don't want to experience , but is necessary to experience as human beings. The Last of Us part 2, is an incredible game. However, as a Gamer I may never be able to forgive Naughty dog because of the mental breakdown they put me through, because of one thing which I can't mention because of spoiler purposes. But maybe one day, I'd like to try. My rating as a Gamer- 7/10

My rating as a critique- 9/10

If you never played The Last of Us , you will highly likely love this game, but if you did play the first one, you will most likely never forgive Naughty Dog. - Nahian Kjellberg Punk

Only reason the media raved about it was LGBTQ characters. I wouldn't have minded the game having those characters, but the fact that they constantly made it a focal point of the game, instead focusing more on continuing the story from the first one is a real disappointment. Also playing 30+ hours for the ending we got seemed like a lot of work for nothing. I honestly won't be looking forward to a third installment. Expand

Not entirely perfect but pretty close. The deep themes of love and loss, vengeance, mental illness and struggles are obviously missed by a lot of people who don’t understand it. Put yourself in Ellie’s shoes and you’ll understand. The fact that people complained and thought Abby was trans because of her MUSCLES further proves my point of all the toxic fanboyism. Joel’s death was sad but a very important piece of the story that some people purely disliked because “oMg jOEl cOulDn’T diE LiKe tHiS eSpEciaLLy tO tHe hAnDs oF a gIrL”. It’s sad, no one wanted it. But guess what, life is full of pain and hurting, ups and downs, etc. But yeah. Buy it. Please Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. What a shame, this pretentious sequel that forces a far left agenda down your throat and makes you choke on it, really has missed the spot. Tragic story telling (not even a 1 out of 10 compared to the original) killing the main (and most likeable) character in such a bizarre fashion so early on and replacing him and all the other great characters from the original with these unlikable bores is just tragic. Then not giving you an option to dispense of the one main boring character just adds the icing on the cake. I have played the original 6 times through. Will never go near this one again. Expand

Ahora "The Last Of Us" vuelve a marca un antes y un después y nadie quedará indiferente.

Ni siquiera aquellos, que han decidido machacarlo despiadadamente porque se niegan a experimentar el ejercicio reflexivo que propone, podrán huir de él. Sin duda alguna, es un juego adelantado a su época.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
