    The story is garbage. Naughty Dog is a great company, but they deceived us with fakes in trailers and Druckmann lied when he said that Ellie would be the only playable character.

El juego es una maravilla conocer la historia de en este caso 2 protagonistas como lo es ellie y abby que lo perdieron todo incluso lo que mas amaban como sus padres ya que ellie consideraba a johel como un padre ponernos en la piel de las 2 y ver todo lo que pasaron nos hace ver dos perspectivas aunque como amantes de la saga preferimos a ellie por el cariño que le tenemos. Respecto a la venganza me parece bien que ellie trate de matar a la persona que le arrebato lo que mas queria es doloroso incluso para nosotros de jugadores ver la muerte de johel vamos es johel pero fue una buena decicion para que la historia continuara el proposito de la venganza auque las cosas se fueron tornando no todo surge tal como lo tienes previsto no todo lo es este objetivo de solo vengarse y sentirse bien esto va mas alla. Ellie no fue la mejor con johel en muchas ocaciones como lo fue en la ultima platica que tuvieron ellie no podia perdonar a johel por lo que hiso sabiendo johel que lo qie hiso no fue del todo correcto las cosas traen consecuencias como lo es la relacion de ellie con johel talves si no hubieran peleado entre ellos esa noche despues de la fiesta ellie no sintiera el dolor de nisiquiera perdonar a la persona que mas queria arrebatarle esa oprotunidad a ellie de perdonarlo es lo que motiva a elllie a matar a abby. dos personas buscando el mismo objetivo en un inicio.Ellie sintio en ultimo momento que al final no era lo correcto matar a abby rompio ese ciclo de venganza. Perdonando a johel por medio de Abby. Algo que no pide hacer mediante Johel.     Gran Juego, una obra de arte. Totalmente recomendable para jugarlo y rejugarlo, tiene una jugabilidad, ambiente, gráficos y música perfectos. El principal problema puede caer en la historia que hay que recalcar es buena más no perfecta. Un gran juego con una historia muy cruel para el jugador.

    Maravilhoso ! Assim como o primeiro jogo esse jogo é uma obra prima , outro patamar de história , gráficos e jogabilidade . Até Agora é o melhor jogo do ano ! Congratulations Naughty dog!

I still hate console exclusives and the AAA market(also **** game developer crunch, there needs to be stronger unions) but this score is for my experience of the game, not to use as a blunt culture war tool or outsideNot the game I expected, not the game I wanted, and in 2020, not sure if it's the game I needed, yet it somehow is one of my favorite gaming experiences of all time. The story does have some good moments (most in the first couple of hours), but after that it becomes clichéd with a mixed bag of dialog. The game desperately wants to preach the message ‘revenge is bad’ but it does so by forcing characters (and often the player) to do inexplicably bad things, then scolds you for what the game has either done or forced you to do. With very little choice for the player, why should I take ownership of the message? Just cheap, clumsy writing. In summary, the technical achievements of this game are wasted on what just seems like brutality porn with a poor story that has neither respect for It’s predecessor nor its characters. Shocking for the sake of being shocking and ultimately very disappointing for something I’ve waited seven years for.… Expand

He terminado el juego y pienso que cumple con las expectativas que se tenían de el ,si bien muchos no estamos de acuerdo de cómo murió Joel,creo que es algo que tenía que haber pasado debido a las acciones del mismo en el pasado,sinceramente llegue a sentir empatía jugando la campaña de Abby,hasta tal punto en que cuando Ellie se enfrenta a ella en la playa no me dieron ganas de asesinarl.
    A mi parecer la historia del videojuego tiene un buen balance entre momentos de tensión y tranquilidad,ni se diga de los gráficos.
    En cuanto a la sexualidad de los personajes,desde el primer juego se sabía que Ellie era lesbiana,así como Bill era homosexual,no veo una razón por la cual la gente se queja de ese aspecto.
    Estaría dispuesto a jugar una tercera entrega de este título    … Expand

    Then those who then note that they do not have Ps4 and that they are raging or that they think that the game claims a cause more than another you are missing the plate. We judge a game for its swimming, its gameplay, its characters. Do not take things out of their contexts.

    The Last of Us is for me the best game I have ever played. The studio wanted to do more than a video game by questioning themes that mark us. They did it.
    I find the characters more worked than most films or series as they are human. We feel their faults but we understand them.

    Level of the scenario I am not a fan of the event which takes place after 2 hours of play and of the narrative choice of the second part.

    But The Last Of Us II wants to be realistic. And it REALLY is. I think that's what's bothering. The death of the characters is trivial because no one in a world like that of the game is.
    No hero is invincible, and no one in the game is a hero. No choice is fundamentally bad because they are just SURVIVORS.
    The music is very little present, which accentuates its presence during emotional moments. I think it's wanted from the studio.
    The gameplay is similar to the first, quite repetitive at times but for a game of thirty hours I never got bored. The AI ​​in the game is impressive, varying according to the difficulty chosen. There are a multitude of possible choices for apprehending gunfights. Human enemies by their movements, the communication they have with each other seem really alive.

    The game clearly has horrific sides. There are many jumpscares. I am not really a fan because it does not serve the plot but maybe the player can be surprised? Idk, in short. The weapons are cool, the landscapes are very varied and magnificent. The light is sumptuous whether it is the rain, the reflections of water, the reflections of the sun which expresses hope last the whole game. We explore new areas, some parts of which have remained intact which strengthens the world depicted. At the end, we can ask ourselves only one question: what should we have done in place of the characters? More than a story of revenge, TLOU challenges the eternal circle of revenge. The metaphor around the guitar is beautiful and full of meaning. There is so much to talk about in this game. I think this is one of the best games of its generation. Films or TV series should clearly be inspired by it. TLOU gives the characters such a great deal of humanity that it is said that everything is gray and not white or black. In addition, I salute the fact that the characters' sexuality is never put in the foreground. It’s just a fact and it’s not a character trait, it changes NOTHING. I hope TLOU 2 will get the artistic recognition (and not only in the video game field!) That it deserves. Naughty dog just **** over Joel, the same person that never trusted anyone , to the point that he had to run over some guy due to his experience that one no one can be trusted. The same guy that was a smuggler and did unspeakable thing for 20 years since the pandemic. To killing him off in just 30 minutes and then want to encourage sympathy on the person that murdered him for 10 hours that is messed up... the entire game was misleading, just like the false advertisements on the trailers. In the end we didn’t get revenge **** ass Abby. Naughty Dog had one job and they **** it over and left us high and dry. I was a fan of the first part, just like manny spat on Joel, Naughty Dog spat on us. Don’t even buy the game, you will just be disappointed.… Expand

    This game makes you feel like everything you have done was for nothing. There is no reward, or sense of enjoyment, you are just moving along through a story that you don't feel engaged with, because all the elements you cared about were replaced with whathever fitted the developers agenda, and rhe end of the gameyou just feel empty and feeling you wasted your time.

    this game is too arrogant that it's trying to teach you boring lesson. they know its a bad idea for keep you play, so they take your favorite characters into hostages. this game is full of anger, frustration, and contempt against you. if you are a big fan of part 1, consider it as star wars - last jedi. believe me.

It doesnt matter if Joel killed or not. It matters how he was killed. Just rush-in storyline, without any expectations. And it is not that Joel that we know from part 1. Same thing i can say bout Ellie. She just became bipolar girl with no logic in her moves. Dina - was deleted too early. Jessie - I dunno waht to say.. Just killed... Without any character explanation. Ebby - idk, maybe some people liked to play as her, but for me it was 10 hours of misery. I just aint wanna to play as that character even if Druckman shows us story bout her humanity, like saving zebras or dogs. Ebbie team is also awful, cmn, 8-month pregnant girl, best doctor in the camp, just went killing zombies and other guys.

Beloved characters with deep personalities and backgrounds built up by the first game were utterly disrespected and deliberately written in a way that made them perform completely out of character solely to be used as a plot device and discarded for the sake of a new plot and new characters to be forced in too quickly. Many of the new characters are shallowly built with bare minimum character development. I have very little sympathy with the new protagonist because of the way they were introduced especially and they continue to act in a way that in no way makes me empathetic with thier cause, no matter what happens to thier companions, they just come across as a psychopath to me. I understand the message the game wants me to see but it ends up unbalanced and lost in a convoluted plot. The eventual climax and ending of the game is left poorly resolved and unsatisfying, no doubt to keep the story open to a third installment. Had it been layed out differently with some changes, this story could have had the potential to be enjoyable and impactful, but it just felt like a long miserable slog. Being a huge fan of the first game and having high hopes for a game that hopefully continued the development and relationships of our most beloved characters I was shocked by this game and tried my best to give it a chance to redeem itself with good reasoning, but it's heartbreaking to wait so long for a sequel and have it turn out so bad. I'll unlikely play this game again and mostly disregard it, and just return to playing the first for yet another time.    … Expand

    Awful writing by Neil in every way. To make it all even worse a politically correct agenda is forced upon the player. I don't think the writing could have been any worse. I'm actually disgusted. People have been waiting for 7 years for this game. You're also forced to play as Abby for 10 hours, a very unlikable, character, which I didn't even bother with and sold my game when I realized this.

    O game demonstra que não existe uma verdade absoluta e que sempre há os motivos do outro, que vingança por vingança não leva nada. Ficou claro que no universo do jogo não há heróis e que todos tem sua parcela de crimes e barbaridades. Não há mocinhos e vilões, há estórias. Quanto aos gráficos estão ótimos, realmente aproveitando o potencial desta geração de console, sobre a jogabilidade éO game demonstra que não existe uma verdade absoluta e que sempre há os motivos do outro, que vingança por vingança não leva nada. Ficou claro que no universo do jogo não há heróis e que todos tem sua parcela de crimes e barbaridades. Não há mocinhos e vilões, há estórias.     Техническое исполнение на каком-то космическом уровне. Очень порадовало то, как игра выглядит на старой PS4 fat. Игра нереально красива. PS4 fat тянет игру абсолютно без проблем, за все прохождение не было моментов, когда консоль пыталась бы взлететь, и это при таком уровне графики. Шок.
    Облазил все локации вдоль и поперек. Огромное спасибо команде ND за то, сколько сил они вложили в игровой мир, за его наполнение, визуальное исполнение, и внимание к деталям. Стадион ВОФ рассматривал по деталям, читал вывески...очень-очень круто. Многие пишут о том, что игра скучная и затянутая, но я не понимаю как в таком мире можно скучать. Возможно, скучно тем, кто старался максимально быстро пробежать сюжет игры, и увидеть концовку. Даже без стрельбы, просто изучать и рассматривать этот мир, мне было интересно. В этой игре сделал скринов гораздо больше, чем в любой игре до этого. Такого восторга визуал еще нигде не вызывал.
    Расчлененка в игре сделана идеально. Подрывать кого-то на мине, попадать взрывающимися стрелами, отстреливать конечности - оооочень круто.
    Не понимаю возмущений касательно лгбт. Какой-то агитации в игре не заметил. Да, главная героиня предпочитает девушек, но этому уделено не так много времени в игре. Нулей за это, игра явно не заслуживает.
    Понравилось сценарное решение сначала показать нам персонажей с плохой стороны, дать нам их убить, а потом провести по сюжету, где эти же персонажи еще живы, и раскрываются с положительной стороны. Особенно было жаль собак... Всю первую половину пригорал с того, что разрабы говорили, что у каждого персонажа будет свое имя, его будут связывать отношения с другими людьми, блогеры говорили о том, что из-за этого хочется меньше убивать. Но на меня это никак не влияло. Да, человека назвали по имени, кто-то громко крикнул его имя, ну и что? После того как начался сюжет за Эбби, отношение к этому полностью поменялось. Даже у каждой собаки есть подписанная клетка, у людей есть свои интересы, свой круг общения. Вообще твист с показом истории с другой стороны мне очень зашел. Как и вся сюжетная линия Эбби, которая оказалось очень хорошей по наполненности, и по действию. Для меня её мотивация и поступки куда более понятны, чем у той же Элли. Похожа на мужика? Так опять же, мотивация столько тренироваться понятна, она не была спрятана куда-то глубоко. Что бы это показать, целый диалог был...У Эбби, как по мне, получился куда более мрачный сюжет чем у Элли. Ей пришлось гораздо больше потерять, и больше преодолевать.

    I understand all the hate around this game. Yes of course, There is some bad things about it, specially about the story, but overall, this gem is incredible. One of the best game i ever played. Its a masterpiece, cant stop playing!!!

    If you have only watched gameplay online or read spoilers, you should still try playing this game - after all, it's a video game- not a film. It needs to be played- you will be put into the shoes of some very complex characters, but if you invest the time, the payoff is incredibly moving (and redemptive!)

    I am suspicious of all the negative reviews before it was possible to complete this 26+ hour film- I think lost of people just saw spoilers or streamers playing and decided it was trash. But you should only take reviews seriously that have actually played the game- not everyone will love it, but many will think it's an even better game that the first! I actually might consider myself among them- gotta start my second playthrough to be sure :)    … Expand

So I took my time in this game because I wanted to feel the characters, I wanted the deep raw emotion of connection you would feel with the first one. And in a perfect world that's what you'd get. It took me over a week to get to the end as I wanted to process each moment. Instead I was handed a revenge story that left me feeling like a withered stump. No connection, the only person I felt anything for was Ellie. My favourite parts were the flashbacks. Playing as Abbie for the other half of the game felt distasteful, irritating, and boring. I couldn't stand her character and you have to be enslaved to that experience for hours. I thought okay maybe only two hours as her. Instead I have to watch an incredibly awkward sex scene, a boring love triangle, and her anger at her friends being killed as if it's a surprise. When she just did the same thing. Stopping the cycle of violence could have been put in a third story. I'm left with no emotion, no satisfaction. Other then I just want to play Ellie. I don't care about abby and her constant drivel. Would have liked to see more of Dina at the least. Abby was terrible. Ugh. Just ugh. Please learn from this and make a third one that you learned from. Though now Joel's dead so seems like there's not much for redemption. You couldn't have taken his life half way through or 3 quarters and given us an emotional story arc? As a narrative driven games, the first game for me is superior ( the pacing didn't feel dragged out or forced ). Apart from graphics, prone stealth, dodging, swinging and riding a boat, there wasnt much on terms of innovation to make this game stand out for me. I couldntAs a fan of the first game and it's characters ( completed multiple times ), this game just didn't have the same impact.     What this game did to me, no other game or movie has been able to do. I felt things that I never felt playing a game, constant chills, lots of emotions, both joy and sadness and an immersion that I never felt playing a game before.
    This was not just a game for me, it was a unique experience. This is a masterpiece.

To me, the first game was a certified 10 out of 10, no questions asked. Truly one my favorite games ever, both on PS3 and PS4. I never felt that the game needed any type of sequel. If anything, a prequel showing Joel's journey from Texas to Boston would have been a great idea, seeing his falling out with Tommy and his bond with Tess.

    Anyways, I was very excited for Part II despite feeling the game just wasn't necessary. Overall, I felt myself finally getting sucked into the story as playing as Ellie and her journey throughout Seattle. But this attachment to the story started to fade when Abby's story was the main focus for the second half of the game. I just never felt that interested in her story or the side characters involved in her plot.

    To me, that's the biggest reason why I gave this game an 8: the story. It just didn't captivate me the same way the first part did. Everything else like the gameplay, the looting, crafting, graphics, sound, atmosphere...it's all there. The story just wasn't that interesting to me at the end of the day. And because of that, I really don't have a desire to replay it anytime soon.

    I lost track of how many times I played through the first Last of Us, and maybe I will revisit Part II some day on the PS5, but the story was just a mess at times and kept breaking any momentum I felt. It's still a marvel to think about in terms of game design and everything, but to me, it's not a 10 or even a 9 out of 10. Still a very good game and one that people should experience for themselves, but to go from one of the best stories in all of gaming to what I experienced this time, it just was a let down in my opinion.

    I think maybe if the focus was heavily on Abby from the jump to build that attachment and momentum, I might find differently. But I enjoyed playing as Ellie and seeing those flashbacks with Joel.

    Excited to see what Naughty Dog does next though.    … Expand

None of the beloved characters are perfect people...some people fail to understand that the Joel from this game is a softened person because Jackson and meeting Ellie made him human again. Some people Forget what a mean person Joel was...almost evil...since the death of Sarah. Some would say he was like that to survive but even Tommy says in the first game that Joel did things that gave him nightmares implying that his behavior made them go their separate ways...Tommy even says that he'd rather be dead than living with those nightmares that Joel Gave him. The love of Ellie Gave Joel his humanity back saying that from the first game a lot people failed to understand that Abby's story is similar to Joel's too not only with Ellie's. Ellie doesn't kill Abby in the end not for mercy...but because by the end of Abby's Journey Abby is a a redeemed person who also is a child protector...just like Joel...Ellie has an insight that she would be killing Lev's Joel(Abby)...Naughty dog even inserts a Joel's image right at moment to explain that...the gameplay, gfx and level design are top notch the best in the industry...the only problem is that people who didn't understand the first game that is a story of redemption and not only protection...this game shows...that other people may not forget your sins and that people can also redeem themselves just like Joel did...… Expand

    The game was absolutely awesome ... Everything was built up based in consequences and emotions.. it's easily gonna be a game that will never forgotten.. gameplay was great but besides all the story was a very well mix of emotions to make you fill what the characters in the game feel. 10/10 all day long screw trashtalkers. Great job to Naughty Dog!

They destroyed everything they created in the first game and the worst part is that even with all this, Ellie didn't complete her revenge, she killed hundreds to get to Abby but still didn't get her revenge? After killing so many you don't want to kill her? rly devs? My only consolation is that in the future there is the possibility of one more game ... "the last of us 3", Ellie wakes up in the middle of the night and everything that happens in this game was a horrible dream, so she goes to Joel's house and forgives him ... and A GOOD STORY begins...
    My disappointment is immeasurable and the history of my favorite game is ruined.

    This game can amaze you with a deep plot, incredibly interesting and improved gameplay, which was in the first part, unexpected plot twists, etc.
    There are few games with such a good plot that you can take apart for a very long time and find small important details both in the game mechanics itself and in the plot. I love the second part, as well as the first 10/10

Its major flaw, and the reason I've not awarded it a 10, is the pacing, and how major events within the story are placedWhilst TLOU2 is a masterpiece with regards to its gorgeous graphics, incredible attention to detail, beautifully composed music, brutal combat, and the undeniably tragic relationship between Joel and Ellie, it often suffers under the weight of its 2013 predecessor. Its major flaw, and the reason I've not awarded it a 10, is the pacing, and how major events within the story are placed within the narrative. The game often feels bloated, and the urgency sometimes fluctuates as its characters root through draws and lockers for equipment, and without many real environmental puzzles, the game often goes through the motions until the next cutscene.

    There are no heroes in TLOU2's bleak and relentlessly grim world, and the game frequently reminds you of this as you hack, dismember, and shoot your way through a stunning post-apocalyptic Seattle over the course of three days. Thankfully, there are reprieves: TLOU2 is scattered with beautiful flashbacks, which take you away from the endless violence and threat, and these moments are when Naughty Dog are able to bring life to its survivors. These flashbacks often tug on the heartstrings without any hint of over-sentimentality too. Aside from its main characters, whilst TLOU had compelling side-characters, aside from Dina, TLOU2 does not. This is not to say they are strictly unlikeable (bar Manny, a by-the-numbers womanizing Latino male stereotype), but are not particularly memorable either. The game lacks a much needed nuance in some of its characterisations, but, to be fair to Naughty Dog, the game's treatment of Joel and Ellie's tumultuous, yet touching relationship remains the soul of the game, even if these moments are relatively fleeting.

    If, as a player, you are emotionally invested in its themes of desperation, vengeance, guilt, and forgiveness, and most importantly, willing to play it with an open mind, the last few hours remain as gripping as any game released. Even gamers with no emotional investment in its story and characters should really find the game's visceral combat, its immersive world and breath-taking surroundings enough. It's undeniably a polarising game, but one thats story should be experienced for what it is, and not what it isn't.    … Expand

    In of itself killing off the previous games main character isn't the worst decision in the world. However, the story line and forced nature of the plot when it comes to 'educating' the audience on the rights & wrongs of revenge, and the morality behind why we should be inclusive borders on ridiculous / boring.

    A character from the 1st game (tommy) had a ton of potential to be further explored, but was rarely seen. When he was on screen tended to be portrayed as wrong in any given circumstance, and generally unimportant - The same could be said for new character jesse, who it also seemed had a ton of potential but was miss-used.

    The introduction of Abby as a playable character is an interesting concept, but in execution was awful (imho). It killed the narrative structure (both times) JUST as I thought the story might be recapturing the intensity and emotion of the 1st game. The voice actor did a decent job but her characters dialogue & attitude did nothing to make me warm to her.

    When it comes to gameplay the introduction of being able to crawl helps to improve stealth mechanics, as does the ability to jump for escaping certain situations. Other than this the gameplay felt identical to the 1st game - my one sore spot when it came to the last of us 1, as it is far too 'clunky' specifically when shooting & swapping weapons etc.

    The selection of weapons on offer, as well as the shooting mechanic itself is extremely lackluster. Ammo is scarce to the point you are lucky if you have enough to win a skirmish without running laps around the map to regain a stealthy position - Its then Rinse and repeat with another 4-6 bullets.

    Stealth kills are enjoyable and gritty as ever, on both the living and the dead, which brings me to my next point.

    The most enjoyable fight was playing as abby in the hospital when you are confronted with a ridiculous bloater in an enclosed, but free flowing underground space - MORE OF THIS IS NEEDED. All in all there were some okay gameplay, and fantastic graphical improvements compared to the last of us 1, but when it comes to the general storyline and narrative choices i fail to think of a bigger disappointment.

    Sometimes good, but never great - 4/10. In case I'm being overly critical here are some ratings I'd give other games:

The new characters are likeable, the ending is beautiful, playing as Abby is a neat twist on the perspective, I could go on and on. This is a masterpiece.     One of the greatest games ever made, but not everyone will like it. This is a decision from Naughty Dog, and a brave one. This game everyone should play, many will love it, and many will hate it, but you can't judge until you play, until you feel it. This is something you have to experience yourself so you will have your own opinion about it.

    Honestly the game MIGHT be worth a 3 star rating but I feel I have to give it a one star to counter all of the fake 5 star reviews. The gameplay, graphics and attention to detail is awesome. The story however sucks. I have to force myself to play over half of the game to hope it would come around to something I enjoyed but it never did.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
