    The game has an extremely bland story and panders almost exclusively to sjw rhetoric. I would highly ecourge anyone with a smidge of intelligence to avoid this game at all costs. Don't believe the mainstream game reviewers they are all paid by sony and are too afraid to be viewed in a negative light by the company. The game is not worth anyone's money.

I've been wanting to post my review for days but it didn't get submitted through as i've been giving it 2 stars. Apparently metacritics only receives positive reviews, the negative ones will be deleted. Review bombing they said, but only fake positive reviews get to stay and negative reviews are getting deleted. It's really unfair for those ppl like me who wanted/had to voice out our opinions about how bad the game was as our opinions were getting rejected or deleted or treated as review bombing. Guess we can never trust metacritic reviews anymore, its all fake and well-controlled. So disappointed.

    Well, apparently all the companies weren't being honest with their reviews (or maybe they're paid to do it). But what matters is the reviews from the customers or users themselves, we are the ones who bought the game and played it. As u can see, there's a big rating gaps between the company and the users. Some ppl who are defending the game will say the reviews were getting bombed, but from what I see, there are a tons of fake positive reviews that are written by the "users" as well. Just because the rating is so low doesn't mean the ratings are fake. We are just giving an honest review about what we think the game is worth for.

    We hated this sequel not because of we are some kind of narrow minded or homophobic. It doesn't have anything to do with that. We don't care about the sexuality of the characters or whether the characters are trans or whatsoever. We just simply do not like the story lines itself, its utterly trash as compared to the part 1. Well, one of the things that I DISLIKED the most on the game is the Joel's quick death. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying im opposed to the Joel's death, it was just so badly plotted that the main protagonist had to die in the first 2 hours of gameplays (we didn't even get to play much of him). It was an UNDESERVING death IMO. This makes everyone hated Abby so much and started making fun of her appearance by saying she's trans who has unnatural enormous big arms (the only way to unleash the rage upon her). Whats even worse is we were getting forced to play as her in the later of the game after what she'd done to Joel and Jesse for another 1/2 of the gameplay which is equivalent of 10 or more hours like WTH nobody is interested to know her pathetic back stories anyway. This sequel felt like a filler to me, everything is so dragged out. Especially the Abby's part where she wanted to find Owen who apparently turned against WLF, then trying to do some good deeds by saving Lev and Yara who we didnt even care about, beating Ellie up and back to finding Firefly. Every new characters in this sequel is just like random people on the street who you'd nvr remember them, none of the new characters have bonded with us like Joel and Ellie did in the first part. Maybe the new only character i sorta cared about was Jesse, the rest is just meh. At first i didn't even know who Danny, Mel, Leah, Nora, Manny was. Every time had to go back to the scene where Joel getting beating up scene to see their face clearly. None of them were memorable, they just faded away like that. This has already proven the game had failed to tell the story and its poorly executed. The ending was the worst, where Ellie ended up losing everything she had, Joel, Dina, JJ, Jesse, and she cant even play her guitar which was the only thing that made her felt connected to Joel because she lost 2 fingers fighting Abby face to face meanwhile Abby gets away with Lev and live happily. It just drives me crazy to think about it after everything Ellie had been through everything, killed everyone who got in the way, losing her friend on her revenge trip and ended up deciding to save Abby and let go of her. What's the logic behind this. I dont get it. The game is called as "The Last of Us" for a reason, its all about Joel and Ellie and this sequel decided to break everything into pieces. Speechless.

    I remember the first part was a masterpiece and now it's ruined by the part 2 thanks to NaughtyDog and Neil. How i wish the game ended in part 1 and part 2 was never happened. The only thing that impressed me was the graphic designs, the stunning sceneries. Gotta give it to those employees who had put their heart & soul into it. It was such a shame seeing one of my favourite game of all time getting ruined like that.

Joels death was cruel and people aren't complaining about that he died, they are complaining about the way he died. They advertised Joel in their trailers and he died 2 hours in. Meanwhile Abby was barely shown in the trailer and you are forced to play a character you hate for about 10 hours. I call this false advertIsement. The flashback scenes are really out of place and feels like they just edited them in, in the last second. The characters that die, barely get mentioned after they die. It is like they forgot that they ever existed. They are trying to make the player like abby and feel bad for her but it really isn't working at all. The ending was horrible, I tought FINALLY ABBY IS GOING TO DIE... but no. She gets to live after she bit ellies fingers. The reason to why she got to live was because Ellie got a flashback about Joel. That's literally the reason..… Expand

    The Last Of Us Part II is an amazing and beautiful journey while deadly as you move on. The story is great, (not perfect), however the gameplay was MUAH. The combat is just GREAT, every time I deal that finishing blow with a baseball bat or pipe I yell. The immersion is just great, the game is awesome. Definitely a GOTY contender and possible winner!     Me gustó muchísimo y actualmente es uno de mis favoritos, hacia tiempo que un juego no me trasmitía tanto al jugarlo y que al terminarlo me dejará una sensación de vacío enorme.
    Aparte de la narrativa, la jugabilidad, físicas y música son increíbles. Es uno de los mejores juegos de la generación, un broche de oro para terminar de cerrar la generación de ps4.
    Lo recomiendo mucho.

Having seen what this "sequel" came to be makes me think that this practice should be illegal. This isn't a sequel. It might be a spin-off, it might be a fanfic, but it certainly isn't a sequel. It took the two main characters from the previous title, used their faces and names, yet stripped them of all of their traits, personality and characteristics, and for what? A typical "bittersweet" story? A "there's no good or bad, just different perspectives" ending? Social activism? Truly deplorable. The writer should be fired and be forced to forever be remembered as someone who attempted to rip people off, by promising to deliver a continuation to a story that was adored by many, and instead seizing the opportunity to virtue signal.… Expand

    If you are fed up with progressive sermons in your life, fed up with them thinking badly of you just because you are a man or sympathizing with them, then this game is not for you. And if you had a great love for the characters and the story of the previous game then you will be sick.

The only thematic concept or idea touched upon in the game is revenge, and if murder can be justified, or understood in certain circumstances. The story shifts from the wholesome relationship that developed in the first game, one that was ominously beautiful, although tinged with lingering bitterness, and opened many questions in the end. The relationship was relatable, and displayed how beautiful the manifestation of human affection can be between two characters who are otherwise sharply contrasted in their dispositions, and character. I cannot even mention the agenda the game pushes down your throat without people thus declaring all of my opinions null, and titling me a "bigot". Hey, remember the first game, in which Bill was gay? And how in the DLC Ellie had a lesbian relationship with Riley? I loved those games. Want to know why, because the characters, and actions meaningfully connected to the wholesome relationships portrayed in the first game, and developed different thematic ideas that the player could question. The second game doesn't do that, and it barely strays from the concept of revenge. They threw in a flimsy ending to feign a moral high-ground, and character development from Ellie -- that'd she'd grown from the violence she was inclined to. This is ridiculous from a narrative perspective. She'd never been inclined to violence, or willing to commit violence with a subsequent clear conscience. She'd broken down when talking to Joel near the hospital, following the giraffe scene; exclaiming that she felt that she should in fact die for "Everything we've been through -- everything that I've done." Remember the scene in which the AMV shot down the two civilians with the operators of the AMV looting the people, to which Ellie subsequently expressed remorse at not being able to help them? Remember when she'd saved Joel and said she'd felt sick. Think about that. She felt sick even knowing that what she was doing was saving his life. With the blossoming relationship with loose ends that needed to be tied now so detestably stripped in the second game, they had to touch upon revenge, and introduce different characters to fill the place (that left even greater plot-holes and logical gaps within the procession of the story). Joel, and Ellie's convoluted, and still relatable dispositions were stripped to more base reactions, and responses in the story that stripped their seemingly vivid personal aspects to carry on such a poorly constructed narrative. Ellie was never inclined to violence, even after a traumatic event (as after the Winter chapter with David upon almost being raped, she'd still never felt inclined to carry out a brutal mission for revenge. She did kill her attacker, and one could claim with excessive force, but she'd immediately regretted it, and demonstrated growth afterwards). They completely changed her character to fit such a tired and shallow plot, made Joel act in contrast to his decades of experience surviving against any threats, falsely advertised the game by implying that Joel would be around for a substantial period of time, and tries to virtue signal by throwing in what is assumedly a transgender antagonist (claim that those who dislike the game are transphobic, or homophobic when the game portrays a trans girl as the genuine antagonist/villain in the story. Have fun working out that paradox). Ellie goes on a brutal mission, killing multiple people now, just for her to once again at the end demonstrate that "oh killing/revenge = bad" as if that's a valid conclusion, and sufficient character development when that concept had been expressed a multiplicity of times in the first game. People wanted the relationship between father and daughter, and the rich characters. They completely missed the mark in this laughable sequel. My advice: watch the flashback segments on Youtube, they're the only redeeming narrative developments in the story, and consider those short segments the epilogue of the first game. They had to have paid the prominent figures who reviewed the game a lot to try and justify giving the game a 10/10, and putting it on the same scale as the first game, and as amazing products such as God of War 4. I wanted to believe it was prejudice against the game, and concepts that caused such a surplus of negativity. It isn't. The game is genuinely that horrid. Save yourself the $60, and the time, and steer clear from this game. I am forgetting that this game existed, and will live off of the first game, and the DLC, and maybe the flashback segments. Neil Druckmann should be fired after such a miserable destruction of a beloved story.… Expand

    Last of us 2 is a masterpiece!!!! Love the gameplay so much!!! Ashley’s acting is incredible (also heartbreaking) the hate is a shame, there are so many people who’ve worked on this for such a long time! People should Respect the risk they’ve done... it’s ridiculous to see people writing negative **** instead of trying to understand the message!

    O jogo não peca em questão de gráficos e jogabilidade que é parecida com o primeiro com novas adições. A história tem uma grande base nos sentimentos humanos e em como uma história pode ter 2 lados diferentes, fazendo não haver heróis ou vilões no mundo de TLoU e com um ótimo desenvolvimento dos personagens. Simplesmente magnífico.

    The Last of Us Part II is probably one of the most polished video game experiences out there and it’s pretty easy to give it a great score and call it a day.

    O jogo é incrível! Gráficos ótimos que chegam até a quase explodir o PS4, expressões faciais mais bem feitas do mundo dos games, animações muito boas. Eu diria que esse jogo é perfeito. Muitas pessoas dão nota 0, sendo que nem jogaram e já querem avaliar!

Este Juego, este juego que muchos no les agradará ya que su temática es trágica, una historia donde no se disfruta sino es más como una experiencia, se sienten tan humanos los personajes, todos los protagonistas y personajes secundarios son hermosos, tanto Ellie como Abby son personajes muy humanos, y a mi parecer Abby es una buena personaje, Naughty Dog fue valiente al querer hacer un juego muy adelantado para su época, estamos en una época donde los finales son felices, pero a mi parecer si fue bueno el final, en ver que La Venganza no te ayuda a sanar, donde La Muerte de Joel tuvo un gran peso en Ellie y tuvo consecuencia para Abby, y esto es muy pesado para ambas ya que si Abby nunca hubiese matado a Joel no estaría sola, no estaría secuestrada por las Víboras, y ella regresaría con las luciérnagas, o por lo menos hubiese tenido más chance de regresar… Expand

Loved the graphics, loved that they kept true to the original mechanics , loved the story in all of its unpredictableness. people are here talking about social justice warriors, i get that.

    I have only disappointment from a story I tried to hard to enjoy and empathize with. The death of major characters isn't as much as an issue but rather the pacing and build up of the story. The change of perspectives with no real justification other than trying different things. The layers of suffering upon suffering that feel being shoved very early on to the point I got desinsitized.     In a world where subjectivism is acceptable, perfect scores on the extremes are not in this context. Even if one attempts to overlook how the plot is build up, gameplay wise there are long stretches of this game that feel untouched compared to the first title. The puzzles are too simplistic and serve no purpose other than to slow you down.

    I tried at least to hold on to gameplay and even in that I was disappointed. For me it gets a 3 based on some sparse thrilling events with great animations and environment but everything else is unfortunately poorly executed. In a game that was designed around linear narrative, it was hard for me not to look at this as a mediocre experience.    … Expand

I could of been okay with Joel's death even tho it is a clear rip from the walking dead with Glenn, if you kill abby at the end. They should add a DLC alternative ending where u make a choice at the end to finish abby or not and then if they make a 3rd game then they could of decided what is cannon and maybe they would realize going woke isn't the the overwhelming popular choice. clear they don't care bout their fan base and they just want to push their agenda.     The entire game is about how far we will go to find inner piece within ourselves and others. I'll start with Abby because I find her character to be the most interesting. We are introduced to Abby after she has just woke up from a nightmare. Remember this because it is the whole theme of Abbys story. After abby saves yara and lev, she finally gets to wake up from having a peaceful dream. She managed to find inner piece by helping 2 children. She saw hope in lev (remind you of joel). I'll talk about Ellie now because she is basically going through the same journey as abby. She is trying to find inner piece with herself because she blames herself for Joel's death. However, we see that Ellie is constantly questioning her actions throughout the game. She wants to find inner piece with herself and she thinks that killing abby will do that. However at the end of the game ellie spares abby. Why? Because all throughout the game, ellie keeps having these flashbacks to seeing Joel's dead body and the floor. She thinks that killing abby will make her find piece within herself. However, as soon as abby is about to be drowned to death by ellie, ellie stops herself from killing abby because she no longer has the flashback of joels dead body on the floor. Instead, she sees her and joels final conversation and how she really wants to find peace with Joel and forgive him. Which is the whole message of the game, finding forgiveness and pushing how far you have to go to get there. The game is a complex masterpiece. People are just blinded by their hatred towards abby.… Expand

The first the last of us was about two people recovering each other in a world where everything seems to be hopeless, it was about an unsual kind of love: the one about a man and his “daugher”, and not about the overrated love story. It ended with hope, the image of a man ready to risk his life and to do the craziest things ever to save the one who made him understand that there can be cure for past tragedy, he actually says “no matter what you keep finding something to fight for”: no matter what may bring you down in your life, you’ll always have the opportunity to not give up and and find something for which is worth living.
    And then what about the second chapter? what does it says to the player? To me it seems to be saying the exact opposite, contradicting the same message of the first one( and the dlc): life is nothing but keep suffering, it is empty, everything (so every happiness) is temporary, you end up living alone and with no reason to move on. I mean, I don’t know about others, but I used to rewatch tlou 1 to keep feeling that warm ambience and hope, and now guess If i’m going to do the same with the second one... That’s such a pity.
    Anyway, Of course graphics are to, but what’s the point of something that has a nice “container” if then the viewers don’t manage to create a true deep (constructive ) connection with protagonists?     Truly the best looking game ever,graphically its second to no game,frim character rendering,gunfights,animation to the little touches, like backpacks swaying realistically,footprints in the snow,water effects,animals in the surrounding areas,and lumps of blown up flesh sliding down walls,and so so so many more all bring it to life...its such a beautiful and well crafted world,I'm so impressed and I cant understand the hate this game is getting,especiallywhen you see weak story based games not getting as much hate,really sad to see!! Perhaps those haters should go play minecraft or Fortnite,better yet,call of duty!!! Yes the art and music is fantastic (when it's not being ripped from a different creator without credit), however the story itself and the murder (both figuratively and literally) of beloved characters is just terrible. Let's start easy. Joel was **** in this game. They changed his entire way of thinking in order to get him in the position for Abby to kill him. Remember back when Joel got mad at Ellie for using her real name when they met Sam and Henry? Yeah none of that comes to play when he gladly gives his name to Susan Strong... Ehem I mean Abby. Next, the massive plot armor that Dina AKA "The Nose" and Abby have. It's beyond unreal. There is a scene in the game where The Nose shoots someone and then falls through a window. The other enemy holsters his weapon and goes over to strangle her instead of shooting her. There is no reason for this aside from giving Ellie a chance to stab him. The same thing with Abby surviving all those infected and somehow Joel showing up to save her. Even worse is the scene of Abby killing Joel when Ellie walks in. She stands and watches for many seconds. This isn't what her character would do. We saw it plain and simple when she saved Joel's life in the hotel in the first game. They even reference it in this piece of garbage but for some reason she can't rely on those lighting reflexes when Hulk Hogana... Ehem I mean Abby, is at the end of the barrel. The writing in this game is lazy at best and just plain stupid at worse. Another nitpick of mine is that this is not a romance game. Never was never will be. This game is about survival and the (very sloppy) romance that the writers try to add in doesn't help the game at all. It makes it feel rushed and unfinished. Much like the rest of the game. The story and plot armor aside the mechanics have not really improved. You can dodge, you can lie down, and She Rah... Ehem I mean Abby, can break your neck like a toothpick. That is the only improvement to the mechanics. It's still just the same animations over and over throughout this empty world and with a story that can't even hold itself together without pulling a GoT "let's kill beloved characters" it doesn't work.… Expand

    Что мы имеем нашего любимого главного героя по первой части убивают с невероятной жестокостью.Какой то недомужик по имени Эбби забивают клюшкой как какого то насильника и убийцу детей.И тут становиться понятно что уже не будет этого дуэта.Нил Дракман ха я вас обманул вы что хотели в продолжении увидеть их двоих вместе? Ха да пошли вы на х*й!.И просто плюет в лицо фанатом.Но дальше еще больше...
    После того как Элли убивает всех друзей этого недомужика нас заставляют играть за нее.И как бы Нил пытается показать тех зверей и в частности Эбби что они хорошие.Вот посмотрите они живут как все защищаются как все спасают незнакомцев которые им помогли.Но вот только существует одна проблема.Вы этому просто не верите!Хорошие люди не идут на другой конец света чтобы забить человека стадом и мучат его до смерти на глазах у человека который ему дорог!!И даже когда Элли просит не убивать его Эбби все равно это делает.После такого ты уже не можешь сопереживать этому герою каким бы его не показывали.Кто то может сказать Джоел убил цикад и врача который мог спасти всех.Да Джоел тоже не ангел но между ними есть огромные отличия.Во первых Джоел убивал цикад не ради мести и не ради своего удовлетворения а для того чтоб спасти близкого для себя человека.Элли она стала ему как дочь.И прошу заметить что ни у Джойла ни Элли не спросили хотят они пожертвовать жизнью Элли или нет.Цикады сами так решили и им плевать хотелось на жизни этой девочки.За что они и были наказаны Джойлом.Но прошу заметить он не пытал их не издевался над ними как какой то больной психопат он только хотел спасти Элли.Почти все люди об этом думали кто проходил первую часть и так же как и я проникся к этим героям.А нам просто наложили в душу.Иногда в игре показывают флешбэки от которых ты радуешься как малолетняя девочка.Но этого мало мы хотели гораздо большего.Развития отношений и новой истории.Что мы увидели?Плевок в душу фанатов первой части.Жестокое убийство главного героя а соответственно никакого старого дуэта и навязывание истории никому ненужного недомужика.Концовка с выводом к чему приводит месть.И последнее что хотелось сказать последний ролик... This game is amazing, the level design ,the emotion of the characters, the graphics are the best I have ever seen it's insane the level of detail that went into creating this masterpiece.enjoy the game for what it is , a game! Most give it 0 rating .. like really ?? Just because you didn't like some of the directions the story took stop being so sensitive!! You have to appreciate the dedication it took and years of research to create this video game , crazy how most people don't see the whole picture for what it is ,they just nit pick something they don't like and bam , everything else is trash . We live in a generation where most don't get satisfied by anything, nor get impressed, so quick to judge and they just move on , sickening .     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
