Quasi un vero viaggio personale, dove tramite i personaggi della stessa opera, provi molte emozioni, emotività e cambi pensiero su di essi, capisci che nel mondo distrutto da un fottuto virus,    THE LAST OF US PARTE 2, un capolavoro, con una storia dura da mandare giù ma che ti fa capire TANTE cose e ti fa maturare pensieri difficili da accettare ed internare.
    Un semplice gioco? Proprio no! Quasi un vero viaggio personale, dove tramite i personaggi della stessa opera, provi molte emozioni, emotività e cambi pensiero su di essi, capisci che nel mondo distrutto da un fottuto virus, nessuno è DAVVERO cattivo, che le persone buone sono semplicemente dovute diventare i mostri che fino a qualche tempo fa avrebbero giudicato per le azioni commesse. Un capolavoro senza se e senza ma, chi dice il contrario non ha capito la storia a mio avviso.
    Ma non mi stupisco, sento gente criticare il gioco perché "Ci sono troppi gay o asiatici" alla gente come voi dovrebbero togliere la possibilità di esprimervi con il mondo esterno per le cagate che sparate.
    Detto questo, un grande e lungo applauso misto lacrime a Naughty Dog per l'opera Che ci ha fornito, GRAZIE.    … Expand

    10/10 game. Story is amazing, in a gut-wrenching way, like LoU1. Many VERY intense moments which will leave a lingering memory. Well worth the 60 dollars.

    Best game to date I loved it I didn’t like watching Joel die but I’ll take it I generally thought the game was great and they’ll never be a good story like it Naughty Dog did their thing and outperformed I appreciate everyone that was part of this games creation very beautiful.     This game is a technical feat. The world, the sound and the visuals are some of the best i have ever seen. Also, the performances and facial animations are second to none. The game can be tough to play after certain story beats, but pushing through to the end is a wild and emotional ride.     - The quality of animation of the characters of The Last of us Part 2 is incredible. This very detailed is the best studio in that section and not to mention the graphics that amaze more and more with each game they make 10/10

    - We entered the controversy the story, I was left with mixed feelings at the end but I understood the message that Naughty Dog wanted to give, maybe they could better apply certain important decisions but in the end it works, a risky bet on the part of ND. It is incredible how much the studio has matured since Crash Bandicoot the first game I played. The game shows you the perspectives of the characters and invites you to reflect on their actions. Connect perfectly with the first installment, you may like it or not, but there it is.

    If you liked the gameplay of the first installment ... The Last of us Part 2 far exceeds it, the gameplay of this title is simply brilliant, a combat system, stealth and shooting totally polished compared to the first game, much more agile and the AI ​​of the enemies far surpasses other titles of the genre. Those infected in this game are more suffocating that add some challenge especially in the upper difficulties ...     Im going to be as fair as possible, semi spoiler-ish. This game was BEYOND beautiful in the way of graphics, actually a masterpiece 100%. The story has some moments that almost push you to an emotional response that coulda made this a positive review. The part that makes this half bad however is the stuff that ignores humans and our complexity and decides to focus heavily on human decisions. While decisions are a part of human complexity, and even something worth dwelling on they decide that the focus will be on decisions that affect themselves(such as someone preferring to be a boy, or individual sexuality) the reason this eats the games strong narrative is that those are personal decisions and don't make anyone harbor care for an individual. For an example, instead of trying to make people feel bad for someone not being excepted for being gay you should just focus on the decisions they made to make them seem cast out, like cutting hair or getting a tattoo that makes the city hate you... i digress. Basically TLOU succeeded so well because we weren't intentionally focused on joel selfishly choosing to having feelings he found a replacement for his daughter in ellie thus saving her at the end in a decision that you come to believe was morally wrong but understandable. This game is different and i just wish it showed more complexity not personal agendas.… Expand

El juego se merece un 9/10, lo pase muy bien durante el juego, las muertes brutales, ejecuciones, el boss del hospital, las cartas coleccionables y para que hablar de los gráficos de 10, algo que se nota a simple vista, cada detalle. La música del juego acompaña muy bien los distintos momentos del juego, se nota ese impacto, la tristeza, el shock, o la misma rabia. Pero no todo es bueno, hay momentos que se vuelven repetitivos, la sensación de que no se avanza, o la misma decisión de jugar con otro personaje. Para terminar, la historia es agridulce, tuve momentos de mucho enojo, rabia, tristeza, empatía y empatía, pude sentir cada momento como uno personal, el juego logra transmitir esas emociones, a mi en lo personal el juego me gustó, el costo fue muy alto, la muerte de Joel, con un final que simplemente de deja esa sensación amarga y de vacío.     An emotional story filled with brutal moments, heartfelt and well developed characters that hooked me up since the start! Worthy successor of the first game! The game mechanics are very enjoyable and fun, you either go stealthy or guns blazing or both! The game didn't slow down for me too much! Is it a 10/10 I don't think so! That's why I'm giving it a 8/10.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Writing this review after finishing the game moments ago. After 30h ish of game time, I can say that I enjoyed most of it, but feel like Druckmann and Naughty Dog owe me a few hours back.

    Story
    What I loved about the first game was that it was relatively unique within the zombie survival-horror genre. The zombies themselves were unique, Joel and Ellie had a refreshing dynamic you don't see too often, and the "I'm immune" storyline was told in a new way and went in a direction I didn't expect, which ended up being the main event that serves as the heartbeat of this game. The Last of Us Part 2 has a story that took me 30 hours to beat, but got its message across within 10. After that, when you're reading between the lines you're often thinking "I know... you said that already... we get it... revenge is bad... Abby and Ellie are the same... war and violence is just an endless cycle that accomplishes nothing...". That message in itself is something The Walking Dead has been saying for 10 years, so it's remarkably disappointing to see The Last of Us fall into zombie-genre cliches - after the first was so unique.

    What lets down the execution of the story is the way in which it is told. I'm all for a good non-linear form of storytelling, but I think the dominoes are setup in the wrong order here. When the game switches half way through to Abby's past 3 days, you meet a lot of the characters you've already killed as Ellie. This made me form absolutely no emotional attachment to them whatsoever, so I never felt bad for killing them - except for the doggo Alice, she was a good doggo. If the stories were told side-by-side, and we got to know Owen, Nora, Leah and Mel before Ellie runs into them, it would have let those scenes sting a bit for the player - juggling between the idea that you kind of want Ellie to succeed but you also don't want her to kill these people. That idea is perfectly executed when the stories line up though and you're forced to play as Abby as she hunts down Ellie in the theatre. I still wanted Ellie to accomplish her goal so getting me, the player, to play as her opponent trying to take her down was a great touch, and made me do something I didn't want to do - much in the same way as Joel's infamous scene in the first game.

    However, this zig-zagging between stories all leads to a fairly disappointing ending. I understand the message of the game, I understand why every character does what they do, and I understand Druckmann didn't want you to really know which side was correct - they're both equally justified and wrong in their actions. But for a sense of satisfaction, I wanted Abby or Ellie to kill the other. Just put a pin in that story. End it properly. If Ellie won, she did it but at the cost of losing everyhing else - revenge made her lose more than gain anything - the point of the game still stands. If Abby won, she's become Joel - and the cycle will likely repeat in an imaginary Last of Us 3, and Ellie would have died seeking revenge - again showing she's lost everything. If the game wasn't so long-winded, I'd be happy with the ending the way it is, but after I've spent 30 hours of my life to ultimately get to an equilibrium that was present 5 hours in, it feels like a waste.

    Gameplay
    If it ain't broke, why fix it? The gameplay in this game is pretty much identical to the first, with a few minor adjustments here and there. The weapon upgrade system is the same but with new, sleek animations and the player upgrade system is just a little bit deeper with a lot more options. The weapon selection and core combat mechanics all remain the same, except for the melee combat. Melee has been changed so that more than one enemy can attack you at a time - which is welcomed, and it is now a bit more skill-based than the button-mashing style of the first game. You now have to time dodges by looking at tells from the enemy, and some enemies can dodge and grab you when you try to hit them. I found the dodge mechanic to be... pardon the pun... a little hit and miss. Sometimes you would dodge out the way, and other times I felt I'd still get hit even though I timed the dodge well and moved in the correct direction. This melee system works well overall, but without a lock-on system sometimes you can get hit after dodging because the enemy has gone off-camera and you need to find where they are again. It's a minor frustration, but it happened often enough to get under my skin a little.

    Something else that got under my skin was the AI detection. I played on normal difficulty and, while I like good AI when it comes to stealth games, the detection in this game seems a little funky. Blind clickers would often see me when I wasn't moving at all, some enemies would see me through walls, and some can see you from quite a distance away - which isn't an issue in itself, but when your listen-mode seems to only go 50ft or so, it's easy to miss an enemy further away who could be looking right at you.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined. How can characters and story from the first game be ruined so terribly? Although a story-based game, nothing makes sense with too many plot holes. Joel deserved better and the Joel we know would not have made such a mistake that would lead to such a ridiculously stupid death. To then be forced to play the character we hate and know nothing about all of a sudden and then try to kill our second beloved character is just horrible writing and for a game of this level and expectation just garbage. The ending is a dumpster fire of its own. All that time and effort built to kill Abby as well as killing hundreds on the way and it doesn't even take place. So why did we even play it? And a flashback of Joel results in this? Don't make me laugh! Joel was an ultra-survivor that trusted nobody and did everything to survive and would not have hesitated or had second thoughts about killing anyone to ensure his and his groups survival especially when it came to ellie. He was the last person that would have mercy when it came to survival. But he was no torturer either. Abby and Joel are nothing alike and there is just absolutely zero growth in this entire game and as said before, the game in the end felt pointless with just angered players left over with the stupidest choices possible. This plot could have maybe worked but everything was done wrong and out of order as well as out of place. Terrible overall and should be known as the worst let down of gaming history. Support the graphics and gameplay all you want, but I didn't feel much of a difference from the first game as the first game had gone beyond its time already in these categories so I refuse to give anything above 0. Everything has deteriorated and I refuse to accept this as the next game. I am still waiting for The Last of Us 2...… Expand

Il lavoro di scrittura della storia e dei dialoghi è magistrale, un'opera immensa, piena di caratterizzazione dei personaggi, e intrecci narrativi. Forse l'unica pecca del gioco è essersi concetrato troppo sul trasmettere un determinato tipo di messaggio, cedendo il fianco ad un ritmo di narrazione un po troppo altalenante, e alcune scelte del proseguimento della storia non proprio esaltanti. In definitiva un must have per tutti quelli che hanno amato il primo capitolo, ma che potrebbe stupire anche chi si approccia al franchise per la prima volta. Ps.     Es la primera vez que puntúo un videojuego aquí, si me he creado una cuenta es por la tan injusta calificación que recibe el juego, el hecho que no te guste la historia, no desmerece el increíble trabajo que tiene detrás el juego, en aspectos gráficos, de sonido, de diseño de personajes, del arte, etc, en todo estos estos aspectos resalta sobre cualquier otro videojuego.

    Lo he    Es la primera vez que puntúo un videojuego aquí, si me he creado una cuenta es por la tan injusta calificación que recibe el juego, el hecho que no te guste la historia, no desmerece el increíble trabajo que tiene detrás el juego, en aspectos gráficos, de sonido, de diseño de personajes, del arte, etc, en todo estos estos aspectos resalta sobre cualquier otro videojuego.

    Lo he terminado hoy y por momentos he amado y odiado la historia, pero sin dudas ha sido un paseo por las emociones humanas más profundo que jamás he sentido, desde la crueldad más oscura y putrefacta del ser humano, hasta la redención, el perdón y el amor, rayos, ningún videojuego me ha hecho experimentar esto, aunque dudo que muchos lo entiendan así, el juego es más complejo de lo que ves a simple vista, pero lamentablemente no está hecho para todos, es una historia muy cruda, realista y deprimente, con leves pinceladas de felicidad, pero muy contundentes, que de verdad te llegan al corazón.

    Entiendo el enojo por Joel, me encantaba el personaje, y estuve muy enojado por la forma en cómo murió, y su actitud confiada frente a extraños, pero así es el mundo real, una mala decisión puede costarte la vida, a veces la gente muere por cosas simples, como por cruzar la calle a través de la pista en lugar del puente, por no ponerse el cinturón de seguridad, por no usar casco manejando una moto, por confiar en extraños, es una lección muy dura a pesar de ser sólo un videojuego, Joel ha calado muy fuerte en el corazón de muchos jugadores incluyéndome, esto dejando de lado el trasfondo lógico de que tenía que morir por quitarle la cura a la humanidad.

    Al final no sé cómo calificarlo, creo que por todo el impacto y la transmisión de emociones e incluso sensaciones (la inmersión y los gráficos tan pulidos hacían que llegue al punto de casi sentir la humedad de las plantas mojadas por la lluvia, o el olor a tierra mojada, por poner unos ejemplos) no sé si debería considerarse obra maestra, pero lo que si creo es que es un videojuego transgresor que quizás ponga un punto y a parte a las historias de los videojuegos e incluso del cine.    … Expand

O jogo é pika e a história mostra como a ellie vai virando um monstro e a "vilã" desse jogo enquanto a abby mesmo matando o joel começa a ser mostrada como uma "heroina". Quem não gostou pq o Joel morreu ou pelo fim que a historia teve tem é mais é que se fuder. Principalmente quem não entendeu a historia. Vai toma no cu Neil Druckman por escravizar a galera que trabalhou nessa obra de arte e eu espero que eles sejam devidamente recompensados por aguentar esse fdp e por conseguir entregar essa mestre peça. Um salve pra galera da mombox e parem de chupar um pouco a pika de the witcher e red dead redemption 2. No mais é isso, a maioria q n jogou ta dando nota baixa (td frescurento)… Expand

    La historia no es lo que muchos esperábamos, pero es parte del contexto en el cual se desenvuelve el juego. Creo que muchos creen que es una historia de zombies o de venganza, pero en realidad es una historia de como los humanos se desenvuelven en un mundo post-apocalíptico, donde la gente muere y no siempre de forma heroica, o donde persigues venganza y destruyes vidas para luego tener unLa historia no es lo que muchos esperábamos, pero es parte del contexto en el cual se desenvuelve el juego. Creo que muchos creen que es una historia de zombies o de venganza, pero en realidad es una historia de como los humanos se desenvuelven en un mundo post-apocalíptico, donde la gente muere y no siempre de forma heroica, o donde persigues venganza y destruyes vidas para luego tener un vistazo al ultimo resquicio de humanidad que posees y que es lo que hace falta para hacer de ese lugar algo mejor. Now my only issue was with the story which had you having flashbacks within flashbacks.     I don't have words to describe how this game affected my feelings. This game have the power to make you fell exactly how Ellie is feeling. The way the storie conects is simply genial.     This game has some of the best graphics ever. Gameplay feels great and bolstered by the sound design. OST is really good. The story takes risks in its dark and oppressive narrative style. I personally loved it. It had a great impact on me especially at the end. I recommend this game for anyone who loves to bathe in the types of works that are filled with misery and tragedy.

    Just finished the game - not entirely sure where all these negative reviews stem from. I was completely enthralled by the story (albeit, some moments were heartbreaking), the physics were great, and attention to detail was awesome. If you’re on the fence, don’t let these bulk meritless reviews scare you away and play for yourself.

When a fanbase becomes as loyal and unanimous in a game's worth, it becomes hard to shake up the formula in any meaningful way without upsetting the players. Joel's death was never going to sit right with a lot of people but I believe it's handle in a very poignant but powerful way. It permeates throughout the whole game as its focus and motivation for many central characters. Ellie's quest for revenge against Joel's killer, Abby, becomes more and more doubtful as we learn that Abby may not be the "villain" we think she is. Even though there are definitely pacing issues to be addressed with its constant flashbacks and time skips, this game manages to tell a powerful story about how we justify ourselves to do otherwise evil deeds,and showcases the good and evil in all of us.… Expand

No doubt Joel deserved be dead considering what he's done to people before but the fact that he and Tommy told unknown people their names so easily makes me sad. The whole story of Abby is garbage as for me. The only thing you want all the game is to kill her but the game tries to change your ming unsuccessfully. She kills her ex-mates for Lev so easily and without a doubt like a butcher. There is a long break between 2 story lines of Ellie and Abby so can loose the story line. They should have mixed chapters or show Abby's story before Joel's death so we can understand her feelings and actions. However we just want to kill Abby as fast as we can. That's why people confused about the epilog when Ellie decides to let Abby go. We just can't take it. Well in my mind it should be 2 dialogue phrases to choose for Ellie talking with Joel in the night. The first means she won't forgive him and all of the well-known thing happen and the second phrase ( unlocks after passing unlucky ending perhaps) whe she forgives him and they go together nex morning in patrol (happy ending). This would be the logical continuation of the last of us part 1. I'm very sad about what I've seen. Like separate game it's OK but considering 1 part it's total garbage in terms of the story and how it failed...… Expand

Despite having script holes (like any story), having subplots that could have been better handled, and a narrative that perhaps is not as clear as in TLOU part 1. This game really challenged me many times, it puts us in very wild situations and It shows us a reality where no one is bad or good, a reality that hurts. Joel is a great example: we empathize with him, but he is not someone we should aspire to. He is someone who could not forget a painful past and that led him to make that decision at the end of the first game. In TLOU 2 he pays for his actions just like Abby losing her friends and Ellie losing them too. But ellie was the only one to realize that in the end and she chooses to overcome that past by leaving the guitar behind. Ellie's guitar and joel's watch symbolize the same, a wound, a past, the loss of a loved one and ellie, unlike joel, allows herself to forget, but mainly ... forgive herself and invite us to watch ellie and ask us if this trip to avenge joel was really worth it. Was it worth watching Ellie suffer just to satisfy us? Was it worth it for her to lose fingers? Was it worth avenging someone who didn't deserve it? maybe yes maybe not. but for me, it wasn't worth it.

    Maybe the revenge story is the most cliche concept there is, but like TLOU part 1, they use those cliche concepts to create something fresh. And to say that TLOU 2 is just a simplistic and superficial revenge story would be stupid. It would be just as stupid for someone to say that TLOU part 1 is game about love and nothing else or treat Berserk's manga as a simple hate story with nothing more to do with content.

    TLOU part 2 really came as a surprise to me, naughty dog took a big risk creating this story and I admire them for having that bravery ... good job naughty dog.    … Expand

    Joel deserved to be written off in a better way, that's the simple answer to all of everyone's outcries. Was Abby such a bad character? No. In fact, if Naughty Dog Part 2 only about Joel and Ellie, Joel dies, Ellie kills whoever killed him and in Part 3 you play as Abby and her story. Everyone would have been happy. In fact dare i say, Abby and Lev had the closest thing to what Joel and Ellie had in the Last of Us (first game).

    I think the combination of playing as Joel's killer, seeing him die in such a way, and then trying to push certain concepts and ideas was a bit much. Games should show and not tell, but Part 2 couldn't live up to the hype. I will say that outside of Joel's death, this was a great game. A great ride, not the story or ending I wanted nor the path I would take at all. But adding a compelling and motivating plot (kill the people who killed our love character) + great gameplay (outside of the jump button being almost pointless) + amazing graphics. These are things that we can all enjoy, The game isn't as bad as people are saying, in fact even though i started off hating Abby and wanting her to die. And yes even I was like I don't wanna play as her i wanna keep playing as Ellie, the Abby storyline was enjoyable and well done.

    Pretty much horrible way to start the journey, amazing journey, bad transition, good (dare i say great) other viewpoint, bad ending.

    Story is a 6/10, gameplay is a 9/10, graphics 9/10 = 24/30 (8/10)    … Expand

    I have nothing to critique in this regard, its easily one of the best looking games up to this date. Textures, lighting, landscapes, gore... But the best aspect by a mile are the facial animations, it's amazing how characters are able to express without saying a word.

When the credits rolled, I clapped, but then stopped because I realized it was stupid (lol). Then i went to the internet, and It was so overwhelmingly negative, I was questioning If we just played the same game. But it's all a matter of perspective. How I feel/think/interpret is completely different from others. I'm still trying to learn to be ok with the hate this game gets, but to me it's become one of my favorite game of all time.

    Pros:
    + Overall gameplay - vastly improved over the original, feels clunky at first.. but you quickly adjust to it.

    + Graphics/ atmosphere/ sound/level design - a technical masterpiece.

    + Enemy A.I - One of the best and most dynamic enemies I've ever played against.

    + Ellie/ Abbie - both were interesting/ had interesting campaigns. Both were dynamic and unpredictable.

    + Overall story - It was good, without spoiling anything.. one of the most memorable endings.

    + Overall journey- A rollercoaster, that can't be explained unless you get on it. I laughed, almost cried, felt happy, genuinely smiled, felt scared, etc.

    So-So:

    * some side characters were under developed and felt unconsequential

    * They really did Joel dirty here. how it happened (the actual act). I'm ok with why it happened.

    Cons:

    - No multiplayer ( they stated no mp, but it's still my favorite mp).. will wait patiently for factions 2.

    - A few pacing issues ( This game had just as much pacing issues as the first game, but this game is also 10 hours longer). I think there were only 4 sections of the game I dreaded.

    - Very sad game.

    To end, no game has me feel so many ranges of emotions in 30 hours. I loved it. The gameplay is dynamic, and always throws something new at you, it never feels stale. The story makes you feel for both sides, and it worked for me by the end. I didn't want ellie to kill abby, even though I cared less about abby even half way through her campaign. It just wasn't worth it in the end. Abby and lev also reminded me of joel and ellie. Basically I empathized with both ellie and abby. ND let us beat the **** out of abby in the end, I was satisfied, and would've been even if I didn't get to. I can honestly say this will be a divisive game, a lot of people will hate it.. but I can confidently defend this game because of MY experience. Masterpiece.

    Oh yeah, I guess not being bias towards LBGT, not knowing who anita sarkeshian is, or caring about political agendas probably helped me enjoyed this game more.    … Expand

In a game focused on the story of such characters and the development of said characters I can’t get why the writers decide to take this course. The game is a slap in the face of every naughty dog fan, instead of giving us an understandable meaningful well written story, they just gave us a cliché revenge is bad story and contradict themselves by saying bad deeds goes undone while claiming in a post apocalyptic world there is no justice.    … Expand

    The game was really impressive in every way. I don't understand the bad user score. I think a lot of people don't get along with the dark world. And actions from the first part logically have consequences ... even if most players won't like them.
    I hope part 3 will not be 7 years away.

    This is a far more daring, complex and interesting story than the first. It requires an open mind from the player throughout, which obviously a large portion of the gaming community don’t have. Yes. I’m sure the same people throwing this game under the bus are the same ones that praised a boring empty game called Breathe of the Wild. Don’t drink the kool aid.     I do not believe this game deserves a review in the red. The gameplay isn't groundbreaking, but it's solid enough for anyone to enjoy. The graphics and overall atmosphere is where this game truly shines; visually, it's stunning. You'll want to keep playing just for the opportunity to marvel at the scenery. There's very few games that can compete with the authentic world ND has created.I do not believe this game deserves a review in the red. If you loved Ellie's witty comments and playful demeanor then this game will shock you with the utterly dull and boring person Ellie has become, and to make matters even worse, Dina, Ellie's girlfriend, is quite possibly the worst character ND has ever created. She adds nothing of value outside of being Ellie's love interest, which I don't even buy. There's no chemistry between the two and seem to only be together because the writers decided they would be. Even with the undeserved fate of Joel...I could have forgiven the story to an extent if they would have given us the old ellie and an equally entertaining female companion as her love interest, but no, you're left with two mediocre characters to listen to for half the game. Abby is an odd character to add to the cast. She seems to have found a stash of dianabol and hgh that she's hogging all to herself (Not cool) Putting aside the fact that abby is anatomically built like an NFL athlete and no one questions it. She simply adds to the ever-growing cast of poorly written characters this game has to offer, however her and Lev make one of the only interesting duos throughout the entire game so I suppose that worth something. Out of all the characters in the game after Joel's exit, Owen and Tommy are the only truly likeable characters, but their parts in the game are brief. The magic that made the first game a narrative masterpiece is long-gone. You are given a couple of flashbacks that for a few fleeting moments make you actually feel something...feel the magic that captivated you in the first offering, but it does little to change your feelings for the game we were actually given, outside of letting your imagination run wild with what could have been. Overall this game has all the potential in the world, but it is sunk on the back of a mediocre story, poorly written characters, and expectations coming off the first game. I dont think the game is awful and I believe it's definitely worth a playthrough for everyone, but not for the price tag of $60. This game will leave you disappointed, therefore I'd suggest waiting until a sale then give it a try and enjoy the phenomenal graphics, atmosphere, and visuals. I'd give the game a solid 75/100. Its definitely not great and definitely not a masterpiece that the biased critics are awarding it. You won't crave to see what happens the next cutscene like the first, but you'll enjoy the gameplay if you can look past the story's shortcomings.… Expand

    To start off this review, id love to imply immediately, that this game is not even a top 10 game contender for the GoTY award, not in a million years, lets be honest, this year. Those who rate it 9 and above are clearly bad reviewers or bots, because you have to clearly be blind not to see any mistakes at all. ill begin with why i chose 4 and not 0. Half a point for characteristics and biography, because half of it made sense and logic and the other half was poorly writen **** and im a good **** detector at poker, reference included. Spoiler alert further on, to just come up with such a dumb story line for Joel's death is disrespectful for the character itself and the fanbase, shame on you, especially not even taking the responsability for it aswell. I mean seriously, the death of another poor souls father which is a doctor is too poorly written, especially when the girl, if she even was told, knew his name, and name only. So im supposed to understand that she traveled the entire USA, looking and calling out every guy named Joel, alive or dead, and killing every person named Joel. Im sorry for swearing, but for **** sake, i ain't no detective, but you sure as hell need to know more ablut the person, and i sure as hell know, no one in that hospital knows Joel at all, or how he even looks like, or where he went. Enough about this, everyone who rated below 6 was smart enough to understand that. Now, everyone hates when the game does not allow the person to choose on anything or isn't allowed to try and do something about something, especially during the ending, and yall know which ending im talking about. We were "used" in this game for nothing in the end, waiting for that something, which we never ever got or will even get close to. Basically the game was about nothing but knowing that, spoiler alert, Joel dies. They even forced us to play with the character we hate later on, disgusting. Might aswell create a new rating, hey ESBN, here is a new suggestion, "forced torture", how does that sound? Im amazed this studio is even writing or speaking anymore to it's fanbase, they are lucky, they aren't in the Bethesda's Fallout 76's spot... yet.… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
