    The game dashed the hopes of many players, where in the first two hours it was fun, but after that you will hate the game and play a character that you will not like and you will hate .. As for the story, you will expect what will happen but it will not happen and the situation in the game will become much worse

Listen i'm not here only to either hate or fanboy over this game blindly this game was pretty disappointing to be honest.This type of games have mediocre gameplay and basically a movie that depends on the story.Unlike that last of us 1 who got carried by the story and graphics this one sadly did not.This game had amazing graphics even tho i had alot of fps problemes but i get it its on console so not that big of a deal,the animations,voice acting were really well done but in this type of game it doesnt stand out because the sotry was so bad in my personal opinion the new character abby was really trash. Its not about her being mascular(or people claiming we didnt like it because of that) i actually like that part since it makes sense for her to survive but her killing all those characters and then giving us her backstory trying to make us feel empathy for her didn't work.The worst thing was ellie forgiving her and saying she doesn't want to be a murder after all those people she killed was so contradictual.… Expand

While that's not exactly a bad thing since the first game had fun gameplay, it shows Naughty Dog's lack of initiative to innovate or try to make things more interesting and fun.

    Scenario-wise, it's a complete joke. I understand some of the appeal they were going for, but the execution was pathetic and fell flat almost the entire time, especially in the second half. There was also pointless pandering with the addition of a completely unneeded sex scene that did not serve to enhance or move the narrative forward in ANY imaginable way. I guess Naughty Dog took a page out of David Cage's book here, and it really shows... badly.    … Expand

    In terms of gameplay, its no wonder that Naughty Dog excels at it. It has beautiful graphics and scenery, but that only makes up a small percentage of what makes a great game, especially one with a huge following such as TLOU. The characters were piss poor. Joel's confidence, problems with his past, and badass character is taken away immediately. Ellie's loveable sidekick persona becomes weak, as she comes off annoying in TLOU2. Abby is a whole other story. I can see the direction of making the audience sympathetic to her, but it turns to **** . Almost every direction taken by Druckmann is executed horribly; Joel's death could have been worthwhile and have meaning, and Ellie's goal of revenge ends up fruitless.
    The edgy theme of revenge and hate isn't done well at all; the characters are very 1D, and for a 25 hour game, everything is so quick and predictable. Representation is expected obviously, but damn...even that was done horribly too. It isn't a well written story at all, and the characters don't receive an arc despite the journey they go through. Joel deserved better.
    It's better to think of the franchise as just TLOU1 and Left Behind.    … Expand

I loved the growth of Joel and Ellie and that has all been taken away from me.     Great game! I was very excited to lose any plot that I cared about in favor of "fresher perspectives" and "diversity," in the words of the brilliant Neil Druckmann. The ending was fantastic as well, great writing. Just like the critics say, MUST-PLAY!

    I've played through all of it. It's just so incosinstent in character motivation, well even just plain reason. The story just doesn't make sense. Save your money and buy the 1st one.

    Horrible story arc, destroyed by bad narrative writing. I loved the first game, it was epic, fresh, and amazing storyline. This time around it was ruined by an awful story and bad writing.

    This Game is a absolute Masterpiece, with Amazing Graphics, Gameplay, Animations, Cinematics, Story, Writing and Characters. The Greatest Game I've ever played and It is Defiantly my Game of the year.

    I want to give it a 0, but that's not fair. It's a solid 5 or 6/10 game. Everything is amazing, but the story, and in a story-driven game if the story isn't good, then it's not a good game.

    One of the worst games i've ever played. **** story & terrible political agenda. The ending is also extremely bad and this game is filled with a **** ton of plotholes. 0/10 can't recommend this to anyone, not even for money

    So you are not letting people to be honest about thsi game ah?? my score is 2/10 TLOU was a masterpiece of storytelling but this... This is the most disrespectful way to destroy a game that all the community loved...NOBODY WANTS TO PLAY AS ABBY JEEZ she killed JOEL!!!! do you even know who Joel is for this game??

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
