The game's visuals are absolutely stunning and truely represent how far we have come in technology to create such beautiful graphics. Another piece I liked about this game was that there are multiple difficulty levels the player can choose from. The fighting is pretty much just like the previous game. You can upgrade your weapons and can craft first aids, molotavs, etc. Hm. Yeah that's it.

    Now for the bad.

I will try my best not to spoil this but if you are reading this, PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS GAME UNLESS YOU LOVE THE FEELING OF EMPTYNESS AND UNFULLFILLMENT. The characters you loved in the last game are not the same, as if they were written completely differently or as if the characters had amnesia and forgot about how much they care about each other. Many decisions the characters made in this game made no sense and leaves the player frustrated beyond belief because the PLAYER cannot PLAY the game in crucial moments. The player is forced to perform actions that no true person with any sense of morality would. The game tricks the player into thinking we will get a happy ending or at least a satisfying ending, yet when the ending rolls in, we are left hurt, confused, and angry. I am sorry, but when you make a game that is mostly loved and known for the story, you better make the sequel to it just as good. Unfortunately, this game does not have a well written story and there are many plot holes. I can't say much more without spoiling, but just know that I will always believe the Last of Us ended 7 years ago when it was first released. I will not accept this sequel as part of one of the best stories in video game history.

In recent memory of gaming I don't believe there has been a game that was more abhorrent and more of a disgusting insult to storytelling in general, not to mention the dedicated fans that couldn't hold their breaths in years worth of anticipation for this game. This game hurt me from a plot stance more than anything I have read and/or played in my life. This is truly, in my mind at least, the most execrable and inept path for the story to have possibly taken. Sometimes giving people what they don't want can be a good thing i.e. Darksouls, but this is the equivalent of paying for bread and getting a handful of crap. A lamentable story drives an actually decent game into the dirt and deeper to bedrock and into the void for an experience that feels miserable, unfulfilling and absolutely disgraceful. So unless you want to be insulted over a 20 hour movie, don't touch this with a 10 foot pole.

It broke my expectancy. Doesn’t get near what the first game was. Joel killed hundreds to save Ellie but she wasn’t able to kill the girl that killed Jesse, almost killed her beloved, took Tommy’s eye and Joel’s life. I think what the game tried to say to us in the end is that Ellie saw on Abby’s relationship with Lev, the same she had with Joel or that she has evolved by seeing that revenge won´t take her anywhere, for me that´s **** About the first reason, it would be interesting but the way how the game developed their relationship (Abby and Lev) is so boring, Lev is just a quiet boy totally different of how Ellie was introduced in the beginning of the first game, wouldn’t feel sorry if he died, instead I would be happy to see Abby in tears.

Totally unnecessary making us play with Abby through half of the game. I know she had reasons to kill Joel, but wtf Neil Druckmann thought? That we would like to play with her. The first time i played with her after Joel’s death I turned off my console. Why you want me to play with the girl that killed my favorite character in the whole novel. Neil Druckmann could explore other ways to end the story. I know it would be cliche to end by Ellie killing Joel after knowing the truth about the first game ending but even though it would be a better ending. What makes me pissed off is that we waited 7 years thinking the way Ellie would discover that Joel was lying about the fireflies, and how Naughty Dog did it? They just brought up in a flashback, giving the feeling that the whole TLOU ending was meaningless. Naughty Dog could explore the whole “Joel’s lie” thing so much better. About the end. I think that the way it ended showing Ellie leaving the farm, gives us a hint to think what will happen: Ellie will go after the remaining of the fireflies maybe to sacrifice herself for the cure since her life doesn’t have more meaning before Dina’s departure. Why they did it? To profit more with TLOU 3.

About character development. What I really missed about the first game was the way I got emotionally closer till the point that I really start caring about the character like I did with Henry and Sam. The closer of that, that I got in this game was the relationship with Jess but even thought it didn´t feel the same like with the brothers.

And for those that are trolling the ratings, bro it’s a **** zombie apocalypse the more stronger, better. What you guys did expect, a character looking like Lana Rhoades?

Resuming, the game is beautiful, revolutionary but the story is dissapointing. My last complaint: any game industry should not do what Naughty Dog did by revealing a trailer that doesn´t have any thing to do with the actual story. I was expecting a game that would made me burst into tears but in the end i got a game that made me fill upset and disgusted with the way Druckmann disrespected Joel to focus on a non-captivating lesbian romance.

Neil Druckmann gave us what we didn´t want, maybe that is why we are really dissapointed. To really understand the end you have to be open minded and try to understand it in a philosophical way and for me, I was expecting an end to the whole novel, not a question mark. The Last of Us didn´t worth the hype it received and maybe that´s Naughty Dog purpose, to surprise us by not giving us the story we wanted on a silver platter, that´s why I give it a seven.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Honestly didn't want to have to write this review, but after how much I loved The Last of Us and hated the sequel, I figure I need to verbalize what's actually wrong with the game.

Now, gameplay and graphics are great, bu the reason I'm not giving this game any points is because it's a story-focused game. You don't get points for sound and visuals if the overall experience is horrendous.

First off, there seems to be this idea going around that people hate this game because of the lesbian relationship and depiction of transgendered individuals. Personally, I haven't played a ton of games with LGBT characters, but one outstanding game that comes to mind is VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action. In this game you take the role of a bartender named Jill in a cybernetic dystopian-like future. You learn about the world through the characters you serve, and their stories shape your understanding of this world the story takes place in.

It's a narrative-driven game, just like TLOUP2, and has an array of different genders and sexualities. The inclusion of LGBT in this game doesn't take away from the story, but rather is a part of it, without pandering or trying to point out how "woke" the developers are.

In TLOUP2, men are bad. Joel is a "stupid old man" as Abby describes him, before bashing him to death with a golf club. A man gives Ellie some steak sandwiches and she gives them away calling them "bigot sandwiches". Throughout the story their are interactions that leave you feeling as though the game is going out of it's way to paint men as bad people. If that's how someone feels, great. But if the only way you can build up women and feminism is by bashing men then that's pretty shallow and weak story-telling. That doesn't even touch on the unnecessarily long segments of over the top romance scenes with Ellie and Dina. It's like the developers were pointing a flashing sign saying "look how progressive we are at Naughty Dog!" As I said, nothing wrong with LGBT relationships, but when you go over the top with the romance it makes it seem pandering and shallow, less like you want inclusion and more like you want to make yourselves seem woke.

One of the biggest criticisms I have is how out of character the main characters seem to act. Joel and Tommy trusting strangers and giving their real names when they've just met makes absolutely zero sense. If you don't believe me, go play the Last of Us part 1 again. Or just watch some cut-scenes. Joel is incredibly cautious around new people, a trait he passed on to Ellie by the end of the first game, and it's almost like this game was made by a whole different team than the ones who made the first game. It's insane.

And lastly, the overall narrative. Now, at this point if you've played the game it's pretty obvious this story has an overall message about revenge, and essentially how revenge is bad and ends up becoming a never-ending cycle. It's a pretty basic theme we've seen in many stories before. But generally speaking, the way it works is that if the audience genuinely feels as though letting the antagonist live and ending the cycle of revenge is justified. That the audience feels a genuine connection with the antagonist, and that the protagonist has had enough of an experience that has changed their perspective about getting revenge.

Well, that doesn't happen here. Abby continues to be unlikable throughout this game, and playing with her for about 10 hours (which the game forces you to do) you don't feel like you've come to understand or appreciate her character more. And if anything, I think that's more the fault of the writers at Naughty Dog than it is with the player. The game never explicitly answers a very simple question: why should I care about Abby when she murdered Joel? It attempts to "humanize" her by making you play from her perspective, but again, never answers the question outright. And at the end of the game, right when you as the player feel as though Joel will be avenged, Ellie decides against it. After killing so many other people who were involved in his death, she spares the one person who deserves to die more than any of the others. It leaves the player feeling less like they experienced a videogame and more like they left a terribly written movie.

In short, I think the worst thing about this game is although I can get my money back, I can't get my time back that I wasted on this abysmal, horribly written "gaming" experience. 0/10. Honestly play something else.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The last of us Part 2 is one of the biggest gaming disappointments in a long time. First off nobody is mad Ellie is gay people didn't care in the Left Behind DLC. But people do care when you insert an agenda at the expense of the characters and the story. The last of us Part 2 is mainly about story. The majority of players bought the last of us part 2 in order to see what happened after the first last of us and to see what happened to Joel and Ellie. But what ends up happening is that we get to play as a character we don't like for the majority of the game. Joel is killed of in such a disrespectful way where it destroys the story afterwards. We all knew Joel would die at some point because it only makes logical sense but to have him die in such a way is disrespectful to the character. Besides that we have a boring revenge plot where it ultimately leads to nothing and we are left unsatisfied and confused at the ending. Besides that the graphics are stunning on the Ps4 but that's about it. Every thing else feels the same it works but isn't satisfactory. Overall this was a huge disappointment and if you are only in it for the gameplay and graphics you will love the game but if you are in it for a good story then you will be very disappointed. Expand

La historia del juego nos muestra como las decisiones y acciones que tomemos pueden no ser igual de adecuadas vistas desde otras perspectiva, The Last of Us 2 no es una historia de héroes y villanos, si no de personas y los efectos de las decisiones que toman.

TLOU pt. 2 has great graphics and a smooth gameplay but goddang I hated how the game treats their characters here. Im suppose to sympathize the antagonist after what theyve done !? If this is whats going to be in the future sequels then im done with this franchise, the ending completely ruined the entire experience for me.

Во вторых какому умнику пришла в голову идея в начале игры, убить практически самого важного персонажа? Опять же повторяюсь, вы там совсем с ума посходили? Guess what the woman who killed Joel guess what you play with her for 50% of the game acting like we would like her! I Finally got to the end then I was like yes kill her! Then she rememberers Joel then like oh no I don’t want to kill her. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The people who are complaining about the story are just children who don’t appreciate the value of good storytelling. They all want to sympathize only with the characters they knew from the first game instead of empathizing and learning about the newer characters. In the first game, obviously Joel made a very impactful decision to save Ellie. In doing so, he kills countless people who were really just trying to save their own loved ones. Now, years later, the children of the people he killed come back to kill him. It’s a simple ending of a story loop, an effect of the choices that Joel made. But instead of acknowledging this the viewers simply see a character they love being killed in a gruesome manner. It is a tragic end to his life, but at least now he is back with his family, where he belongs. He no longer has to live with that pain. Meanwhile, Abby has to learn how to live with having killed someone in such a brutal manner. It comes back to bite her as Ellie seeks the same revenge as her. The story is a very realistic, meaningful look at how all this death and suffering would affect people. Some choose to live in pain and seek vengeance while others choose to let go. If you can’t see the beauty and depth in that, then you just don’t understand pain. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. TLOU 2- An Exaggerated Simulacrum.
TLOU 2 serves as one of the biggest failures in the history of gaming. Sony and Naughty Dog crafted a disappointing story with outdated gameplay. In all honesty, the leaks, which happened months before the game was even released, ignited the downfall of one of gamings most beloved characters. From the abusive DMCA's affecting anyone barely discussing the leaks to the realization of false advertizing, where in early trailers of the game, Joel was shown to be a crucial character in the story's development. Only to be brutally, and very disrespectfully disposed of in the the first section of the game showed to us, gamers, what Naughty Dog set out do. Edit: At the moment of writing this edit, Metacritic has disabled negative reviews for this game. They are trying to silence all the disappointmented fans expressing their frustration with this pile of dog ****
TLOU was a game distinguished among the others based on its entertaining, and sweet storytelling. However, Part 2 sets out to destroy everything the first game made. Joel is killed and singled out as the villain by a new uninteresting character called Abby, the best Scar Killer, someone who sees nothing more than violence and revenge after the impactful choice Joel makes at the end of Part 1. The game is a beautiful deatil work of art, crafted by over worked and underpay employees. The semi open world are a breath of fesh air from the linear nature of its predecessor, unfortunately that's all you are paying for here.
Gameplay is outdated. A hard copy pasted effort to seemingly forget the mistakes of the last installment. Stealth is summarize as "Walk behing enemies and stab them with your knife, over its devastating long game. The shooting is as the original. Clunky, nonresponsive, hard to aim, and inaccurate. A headshot is affected by chance and the lucky moments when your reticle and the mary go round shaky hands of your character meet in perfect symphony. Jump, useless and prone, is used as a poor excuse to expand game time and hide the loading screens.
The game is a constant duality. Uniting gameplay and storytelling. But when the most important part of your game is full of inconsistent behavior in part of your characters, Joel, Tommy, and Elli. The game opts to introduce us to a new set of avenger type mass murderers as the solution. We know Joel isn't a saint. But the attempt to destroy him as much as this game is trying to is laughable. The writing is geared to push Elli to her limits, and we see her slowly falling to the pit, but her counterpart, Abby somehow gets the sweet tratment and is in a journey of self reflection and change. But guess what, It doesn't work because this game is based on perfectly, and improbable acts of pure coincidence. Its just a Simulacrum, in which every possible circumstance that could lead to this story happens and its materialize in the fly and from thin air. The game makes you feel terrible, because its in fact terrible. Gore, gore and more gore is what makes part two trully obnoxious and honestly adept to psychiatric counseling. Quick time events are a combination of thumb and square smashing action. Sometimes I could hear my controller begging me to stop. These moment are quite well done, bit too many too much. Aside from set pieces encountering this acts might lead you to your death by a clicker. Since reaction time in a 30 FPS game like this, where turning aroung gets you dizzy is a hassle.
This game is built on coincidence and poor storytelling, your favorite characters are turned into fools seeking a Fool's endeavour, such as the cycle of revenge, ND so proudly think they mastered, where there are clear winners and losers. Spoiler Alert Abby the piece of **** Wins.
My honest Review is a 4 out of10.

Congratulations Naughty Dog for the courage to kill one of the most beloved characters in video games and for the audacity to make us play with your killer. TLoU2 is a journey of emotions. It's the best I can say about the game. I was happy, sad, depressed, angry, pissed off, I cried a lot and finally, amazed. Ellie's journey after Joel's killer is magnificent. The dialogues, the gameplay, all the characters involved, the soundtrack, just perfect. The ending is exciting, the scene in which Ellie sees Joel when she is about to kill Abby is heartbreaking and strong at the same time because we see that in her last conversation with Joel, there is still a resentment and it was this feeling that keep her going on her journey of revenge. It is interesting to see the consequences of their thirst for revenge, perceptible to the good viewer. it's an excellent game, a wonderful and courageous story and an epic ending. But the story is an absolute mess! Yes I was passed when Joel was killed but not by the fact that he died it was how he was killed. They made his character and Tommy's character look like they were thick (If you played the originalnyou would understand).

They made Abbey look like a genuinly nice person and gave her everything. Ellie was made to look like a vile person just after revenge and took everything away from her.

I would go more in depth but to be honest this game is not worth the words, I'm surprised I've already written this much.

Like I said the Graphics and the fighting aswell as the crafting was amazing. But this is no good when the game is very story dependant and the story for me was a joke.

Telltales were masters at that and seeing that being integrated into Last of Us was insane. The story did, however, felt a bit disjointing at points and a bit more editing and tweaking would have helped the story a little bit more. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game is indeed a masterpiece, it takes some heavy decisions in the story and makes you feel a range of emotions till the end.

After going through countless reviews and reaction videos, I found 3 main things gamers hated the most

    1) Joel’s death
    2) Playing as abby
    3) Abby lives

Let’s see the story from a mature perspective rather than as fanboys.

Abby is full of hate, she had only one goal to take revenge from her father's killer.

Ellie goes down the same path, she had only goal taking revenge from Joel's (father figure) killer.

The story shows you both sides of the coin, and questions you who's revenge matters? Is eye for an eye, a solution? Who is right & who is wrong?

If Ellie kills Abby, would the cycle of vengeance stop? Wouldn't Lev come behind Ellie later for killing Abby who is now like sister to him? The most important would Joel would have wanted his "Kiddo" to devote her life for vengeance?

You start seeing Joel in Abby when you play her story, you see how she kills her own people to save Lev, something that Joel does for Ellie.

What vengeance brings to Ellie? She ends up alone at the end.

She goes to Santa Barbara thinking that killing Abby would bring her peace, and just when Abby was about to die at the hands of Ellie, she remembers Joel looking at her, she understands he would never have wanted this from her.

Abby lost her father, went on a path of vengeance, all her friends died too.

Ellie lost Joel, went on a path of vengeance, lost friends, her love, her fingers too, she now can't play that guitar which Joel always wanted her to play.

If you see the story from a fanboy's perspective you will definitely not care about the deep emotions and notions the game is challenging.

The ending flashback scene will definitely tear you apart. Ellie - I'll see you around.
    Joel - Yep

It's a very rare game, we don't get games like these very often, cherish it. I hope more people give positive ratings/reviews. It hurts to see such low score for a masterpiece like this.

I seriously wish it becomes Game of the Year.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Man I waited 7 years for this game. And It was something I was looking forward to in 2020. Unfortunately 2020 is a cursed year. The Last of Us 2 was a huge disappointment. And I have a lot to say. The game was a beautiful and entertaining game. I had fun wondering around Seattle. And the opening of Jackson. But I am really disappointed with that I was sold on a game by the trailers shown and ended up with a different game entirely. My problems with this game is completely the story and the narrative it decided to tell. Right off the back 30 minutes into the game they kill off one of the most important characters of the Franchise. Joel! I was sold on a story I thought was going to be another adventure with Joel and Ellie dealing with their conflicts from where the first game left off. Instead I got a game that felt like It was a shove into the mud on a rainy day. Instead I got a game that was a false glimmer of hope of trying to gain justice and ended with more tragedy than triumph. I absolutely did not feel anything Naughty Dog was aiming for. And maybe it was just poor execution. But right after joel died all I wanted was to get vengeance and justice for his death and I was IN for that. But it kept dragging on and on and eventually you get into these missions where I feel like the game was trying to make you empathize with the Antagonist. Which is all well if you hadn't killed off an important character too soon. After that all I felt was lust to kill Abby. And I completely did not care for Abby's friends. Nor the kids she cared about. During all of the Abby drama. I just felt like I wanted her dead, her purpose meant nothing to me. And I was just trying to rush through her story to get back to trying to kill her. And then when you finally got back to it, You are let down. Ellie let's Abby Live. She finally could of had justice for Joel. And Ellie let her go.. How big of her. But that's not okay for a player who wanted to get justice served. Maybe others feel differently. But I was not happy at all with that decision. And to make it worse. Ellie lost some fingers sl she can't play the guitar Joel gave her and she lost everything. Dina was gone all of her belongings were put into one room just to be left to be forgotten. And that hurts. Joel dying was not the reason I was angry at this game. It was that it felt like the game didn't want to continue where the first game left off. Sure it did! But in poor poor flash backs just to establish a bunch of meaningless characters for a future game. It just felt like a huge disrespect to the first game. Unfortunately Just like this game. I will also leave it to be forgotten. I am just disappointed. Huge fan lf the franchise and my love was killed and I feel like the first game is meaningless now. Hopefully Part 3..if there is a part 3 ..makes up for what was unfairly done. I just hope I'm not sold on a game I won't get. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. When I played the last of us 2. I just got done playing the first Last of Us but the game is massive disappointment compared to the first. I don't see how massive game Journalist will give this game a 10/10. And then claim that everyone that who gives it a bad score has not played it. Well I played it and it's still a bad story. Also I know for fact that they haven't played the game because if definitely not 10/10 game.

Positives: Graphics and gameplay in this game Is are amazing. When playing stealth on survivor felt like it was a true survivor game that if I get shot it actually matter. I've to be very careful in each encounter I got into or I would be killed and there are so may ways you can take out enemy's. Sound effects and cutsceans are one the best on any PS4 game I've ever seen.

Negatives: Ok the story is just a bad rollercoaster ride. I don't know why they choose to go down this path for the writing of the game. For the first Hour of the game you play as the new character Abby and she kills Joel. I'm not mad that they killed Joel I'm mad how they did it. Another massive issue In this game are the new characters you are suppose to care about. As Abby when her friends die by Ellie the game expects that you should feel bad for them when you don't. Same thing for Ellie new friends like Jesse I never really game a **** about them through out the game. The Plot for Abby is so dumb. The game tries way to hard to make us feel bad for Abby and it fails at that. The only thing that was slightly interesting about Abby story was Lev backstory. Then after you're with Lev and Lara dies her story feels pointless and that there is no end goal and that I'm doing useless crap with Lev. Ellie flashback with Joel was really nice especially the birthday one. But Even Ellie story feels like the plot and her charter are just weakened and out of touch compared to the first game. By the End of the game the only characters you only really care about are the one from the first game such as Ellie and Tommy. And When Ellie about to kill Abby I guess the writers thought that we will like Abby but we don't. They should've killed Abby it's more realistic. Or better yet written a whole different Story.

The Writing of the story is what basically what destroys this game I don't know why Neil Druckmann thought this was a good story. He said that he wanted to respect the characters of the first game well all I've seen was disrespect toward Joel and Ellie in this Game.

    Minus points:
    - Game play similar to part one which was 7 years a head and was done for a previous generation. No improvement - Characters are not likeable. Playing with a character who I hate for more than 12 hours was the worst. I lost my interest while playing with her
    - The story itself comparing to part one..story based on revenge is the easiest way to make a game.
-The ending was like I spend 26 hours on nothing. It was like if the character woke up at the end and it was a dream.
    - The Agenda: tlou2 is not the first game which put a specific agenda, but spending the hole game just to brainwashing and accepting this agenda was one of the worst things in Gaming.

    Spoiler Free section:

Regardless of this game not being what fans wanted, It's unfair to call is a bad game. It's a strong story with complex characters and despite how depressing the game is, it doesn't make it a bad game. Naughty Dog focused on making a great game, not a good game. Great and good are not interchangeable. Bad people like Hitler and Stalin can be considered Great, but in no way are they good, in fact they are terrible. That's how this game hits, as a game that is very selective in who likes it, but overall is a great game in general.

    Spoilers:

One of the biggest problems with this games ending is that people can't really understand it well, which is understandable but before writing a negative review because your favorite character died and you didn't like the ending, maybe try to dissect it, ask why, and look for hope in the end because there definitely is some that many people missed.

Starting from the beginning, Joel sings to Ellie with an emphasis on the phrase, "If I ever were to lose you, I'd surely lose myself. Unfortunately this happens to Ellie and this whole story is about how she loses herself to try to avenge Joel's death. There is a scene right after Ellie tortured Nora when she is crying partly because of what she has done but then she tells Dina, "I don't want to lose you." This is the moment that Ellie realizes that losing Dina is a real possibility if her revenge continues.

Moving forward to the end of the game, Ellie tracts down Abby and has her drowning underwater. Instead of ending her life, she pictures Joel playing the guitar and stops (Important for later). At this point we don't know why she lets Abby live and we get even more angry at the game. Then they show that Dina and her baby left Ellie and that Ellie really did lose everything in fact, she can't even play the guitar anymore.

Finally, we know that Ellie let Abby go, not for Abby and Levi sake, but for the sake of herself. If she really went through and ended Abby's life she realizes it would no make a difference, but more importantly, Ellie would 'surely lose herself'. Showing the scene where Ellie wants to forgive Joel is moment when Ellie spared Abby and this is because Ellie wanted didn't want to give in the the violence and completely become what Joel had become, what she couldn't forgive because then how could she expect Dina to understand. This is Ellie last grasp on her once sassy sarcastic 14 year old self and she is able to stop herself. the game ends with Ellie leaving the farm and (probably) going to look for Dina and JJ now that she has a small piece of herself to give, she hopes that Dina might someday forgive her like she decided to to with Joel.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. SO how do I start? The gameplay is last gen at best just like in The Last of us its very boring and rubbish gunplay etc. The story I have to agree with Skill up here, its the season 8 of Game of Thrones or The last Jedi/Rise of Skywalker of Star Wars its VERY VERY bad. They destroyed everything you like about the first masterpiece of a story! The the characters are just as bad, I mean that man with a girls name (Abby) was a major **** I have never hated a character so much!! and being stuck playing as him for ages really blew!! And Ellie was not the Ellie I knew from the first game at all. The graphics are great I can't say the same for environments because they are so linear but I don't play games for graphics so I am not giving this game anything for that. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don’t understand people that hate the game. It is a story about brutal and unfair world, same as the first part was. It is not a fairytale about unicorns and happiness. It is a story about loss, desperation, struggle and humanity, after all. Joel was never a 100% positive character, and weeping about him being killed in post apocalyptic world, while living in a world where you could be killed for a few bucks in your valet, hit-and-run or whatever else dumb reason, sounds ridiculous.

Incredible game on all fronts. The graphics and set pieces look like something from the next generation. The game takes 30 hours to complete and so comprises 2-3 regular full-length games. Ignore the "reviews" from people who have never played the game. This is absolutely essential.

Honestly, the story does stretch a little too far at the end. It's a common thematic about revenge, and it's usual, bit it stays true to their characters, overall, it's quite a good story.
I'd rate it about over 9, but I feel like the review bombings don't make it justice, so I'll make it a 10

Gameplay, graphics and location design are fantastic.
Unfortunately, the story makes the game so tiring and unpleasant to play that I have to force myself to play this I did it because I realy wanted to see the ending. Wasn't worth it!!!

People want to play this game for story but story is very bad but game has great graphics.
you might see the game is selling fast and making millions and I believe it's only because of the first game and how this game looks beautiful.

But everyone loves the first game so much because the story is great and the second game is simply insulting the story of the first game and everyone who loved it. It's like a bully taking your favorite thing in the world and mutilating it. I am saying bullying because makes you play as someone you don't want to play and hurt (minor spoiler) someone you love.
    Spoiler ahead-
Why we are playing as that character because they want us to play as her because she is very muscular and strong woman helping trans person.
Not only that is enough they have to kill (in a brutal undeserved way)the beloved main male character. More so male characters are killed or crippled. I legit didn't notice that at first.
Creators are clearly pushing the message and I don't have a problem with that but not at that cost. Story is awful and despicable but the message is clear.
I don't understand why devs don't make individual games like Horizon, hellblade, odyssey. I like those games. Why ruin stuff?

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
