The game play and the graphics is great i have no problems with it. the only this i hate is i have to play the enemy the one who killed the beloved character on the previous game and some twist also, so my conclusion is i don't like the story lines and hate that our one of the previous character is being the enemy of this game… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. 10/10 Un juego simplemente HERMOSO. Supera a la primera parte en TODOS los aspectos (gameplay, profundidad e historia). Desde el principio te mantienes enganchado, y, llegando al final, no puedes parar de jugar (a pesar de que sentí de que pudieron acortarlo un poco, sobre todo en las últimas horas). El gameplay es maravilloso y se siente bien jugarlo, las armas son interesantes y hay añadidos buenos (aunque igual me esperaba más), y la IA (a pesar de a veces fallar), es de las mejores que he visto. La historia es fantástica. Retrata la venganza de un modo sublime y completamente acorde a la atmósfera del juego. De nuevo ND logra crear personajes bien hechos y entrañables (incluyendo, por supuesto, a Abby). Mi única queja es que en algunas partas ponen. enemigos o batallas porque sí, porque sientes aue deben al ser un videojuego… Expand

    Es un buen juego, realmente puntos muy buenos en el aspecto tecnico y jugable (un gran mejora de la primera entrega) pero la historia tienos unos tropiezos y no esta a la altura de la excelencia del primer jueguo. Esta bien pero no es tan bueno

    A revenge story that expounds on the narrative of the first. The game is beautiful in every aspect. Don’t let people convince you because they are too ignorant to understand a complex plot that naughty dog put the time and effort to develop. It’s worthy of playing just on the gameplay and if you’re ready to go on a journey that takes you to extremely emotional places.

    The critics were only allowed to review the gameplay and not the story which made the scores biased, and you can see the difference from the user reviews which consider both. As for the gameplay, this game is phenomenal. I loved it and would give it a 9.0 or 9.5. there's still a few things that could've been improved.     Es excelente el juego. Te baja al nivel de que no hay héroes ni villanos. No hay actos totalmente buenos o actos malos. Todo está diseñado para que sientas cada emoción que puede sentir una persona. Y los actos que te piden que hagas uno deba cuestionarlos. No hay solo blanco y negro hay grises. Que lo logra abarcar muy bien este juego. Lo amé!! 10/10

Its an amazing story that accomplished everything it set out to do, the only thing they did wrong was one "tasteful" scene that could have been done better, you're supposed to hate how it humanizes the "bad guys" and eventually you see how the two playable characters mirror each other, both having lost themselves due to a death and trying to find themselves and deal with the ptsd all wrong. Once you learn to appreciate the game for making you hate it you can truly see how amazing and heart breaking it is.… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the perfect combination of an excellent Hollywood movie with a fat budget with fun and flowing gameplay. The phenomenal writing will touch every player and won't leave an eye dry of tears. Combat and exploration are challenging and lead the player to use creativity and improvisation. A real masterpiece and a must-have for every PS4 owner.

Бои стали намного реалистичнее и более жестокими. Часто я думал, что их слишком много и что жестокость в игре превышает мой лимит восприятия. На мой взгляд есть огрехи в сценарии, но я думаю, что студия имела право сделать так как считала нужным. Иначе это была уже не та игра. Я думаю, что The last of part 2 повлияет на индустрию игр в будущем. Она отличается от всех других.
    Рекомендую проходить на самом сложном уровне - только так можно по настоящему почувствовать атмосферу.
    Отзывы игроков разные, противоположные, но я бы рекомендовал ориентироваться на отзывы профессиональных критиков. Вообще, я думаю, что надо быть открытым к разным точкам зрения, открытым к новому, чтобы понять замысел и сценарий игры.
    Надеюсь Naughty Dog будет продолжать The last of us, например, можно сделать приквел о Джоэле, Тесс и Томми до начала истории первой части. И надеюсь его не придётся ждать так долго.    … Expand

    I really loved the story of this game, there are so many references to the first game and I have found the main characters awesome. Abby and Ellie were psychologically perfect. The gameplay was fine.

    Objectively speaking it’s a good story but coming from part 1 as a huge fan they basically took everything you liked away, destroyed it and made you do things in the game you don’t want to. Really the game is just killing time since the infected have like 0 amount of threat compared to the first game

    Warning, there are some really bold story choices in this that will make you rage at the game. But stick with it, its worth it. Absolute masterpiece of game storytelling and the sound design is the best I've ever seen.

    The last of us sold because story was excellent. This game was the reverse . I don't want to hear " but the gameplay" or graphics are good. Forcing you to make decisions and then belittling you for them sucks. Hated new characters and ending sucks.

There will always be people upset with one thing or another because everyone thinks that a story should go the way it did in their head. Except it doesn't, and I don't expect it to.

    For me this game was a major WTF in my face, but I kind of enjoyed it while being emotionally damaged because that's the type of gamer I am. (For anyone that watches anime, I am that person that would give School Days a positive score because of the ending).

    Also, in game, I noticed how many options they had for those with disabilities and was pleased and happy for a community that doesn't get as much as they deserve from games. It is clear that Naughty Dog cares for their gamers despite the amount of hate that they have received for the story of this game; and I can't wait to see what they do next.    … Expand

    Ignore the haters! Anyone who thinks this game is nothing short of exceptional, isn’t intelligent enough to own the game, nor a PS4 for that matter. This quite literally raises the bar and leaves it there for all to follow! I would have given it a 10 but fir Abby’s unexplained arms. Otherwise, this is sheer brilliance!

    Bien plus qu'un simple jeu, une expérience à vivre. Un récit fort et des personnages terriblement bien écrit et attachant. Aucun faux pas du début à la fin, les mots son difficile tant le jeu n'est pas descriptible il faut le jouer, le vivre pour le comprendre. Un gros 10 pour un jeu qui mériterait le GOTY. Il marquera tout les joureurs sans aucun doute.

    My real note would be a 8/10 since some commands are mixing up sometime and the scenario deserve to be a bit better on some points. But since some people chose to put their brain on a table and review bombing this game because of some leaks of the scenario while others are just mad on it. I felt like I had to put this note.     I am very disappointed about the ending, could've been way senseful, they completely forgot about the apocalyptic world, introducing people from random npc's, it doesn't have the connection between people like the previous one, graphics really good, gamplay, crafting and combacts really fun and cool, but storyline is trash.

    I got a PS5 back then for some nice exclusives and didn't want do touch TLOU2 but i did cause i wanted to try it and what should I say...
    The Gameplay is good, very realistic animations but this is not a truly next gen Game.
    It was developed for PS4 and a little PS5 patch does not bring me the experience i wanted or I was waiting for.
    The Graphic is good but not more. I really don't know why they had to release this game on PS4 and not PS5 only. Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart was a good example, only PS5 and is a truly next gen Game! Very good looking and good optimized.

    The Story from Part II is very bad... I don't know who thought this would be good but I'm very disappointed.

    The gameplay does not have many new things, it is a mix of assets from the first game, Uncharted 4 and a few thing from Days Gone. But even though the gameplay is not so innovative, it executes everything perfectly. The storyline is good, even though it is not as amazing as the first game plot. Also I felt this game was a lot more ideological based than its predecessor, which is not necessarily bad, but it is something that in my opinion doesn’t match what The Last of Us. There were a few times that I felt the game was totally focused on social criticism. I think that is cool, when done well as something in details, or something not to explicit like saying “This is a social criticism”. But it was still not so annoying to spoil the actual point of the story line. Really liked how the devs developed the relations between the characters, like Ellie and Dina for example, or Abby and the kids. One thing that I can’t say I liked but I really admire, is that Naughty Dog was really daring and had no fear of simply killing characters we liked, and this happens multiple times in the game.… Expand

    An amazing sequel that gets more hate then it deserves. While the story isn't as good as its predecessor, the combat is better. Playing as Abby was actually an amazing experience.

    I highly recommend this game and its certainly a contender for game of the year.

The story is okay, but not more. It treats some characters very poorly and that’s very hard, because you started to bond with these characters over the howl first game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ok. So. My biggest complaint. This game had clunky movements and it’s open world/linear mix didn’t mesh well for me. I expected more for a late generation game. Particularly one that is a sequel to such an amazing game from an earlier console. The next issue I had was that I went through 3 days as Ellie and then the same 3 days as Abby. I would have appreciated jumping between the two through each day, so when I got to day 3 I was finished. I felt like it broke up the narrative a bit too much. Lastly. I really did hate they killed Joel. I felt like they could have found a better way to do the revenge story. Like have everyone in Jackson get killed except Joel and Ellie. Then Joel and Ellie go on a vindictive journey. It could have brought out all the same points, but Joel wouldn’t be dead. I mainly didn’t like this because Joel made the first game. I didn’t enjoy playing as Ellie in the first game. I didn’t even care much for her character. I cared for her even less in this one. I also really didn’t appreciate playing as Abby. It was ok. Just not the most fun. She did some terrible things and was a terrible person. All I wanted was for her to die in the end. Lastly, the game play wasn’t different enough from the first one to keep me engaged. Now. Admittedly all these issues, except for the first one, are all minor. We follow one character that we already know, because she's the girl on the front cover of the game. We reach climax of her story, a dramatic stand-off between the hero and the villain, and we cut to black for a flashback, involving the villain. You learn why the villain is after the hero. Then you play as the villain. We play half-way through, when we cut out of the first story, and we're now replaying the same days as the villain. You're thinking that the stories are going to intertwine in ways that will let you know more about past events. But they never do. The story literally begins again, only now telling a completely separate story. It takes 10 hours to get back to the climax. The only thing we see now is the villain doing things that are so nonsensically stupid, I couldn't believe a grown adult wrote this story. We see characters taking drastic actions with such little thought or explanation, and they are consistently the worst possible thing to do in that situation. We see now that the villains were nice people all along, they play with cute dogs and rescue zebras from traps. There's a heavily pregnant woman that fights the infected and does Nathan Drake-style jumping and climbing. A teenage girl has an amputation, yet is running and fighting the next day, with little to no medication for the pain. It's so ridiculous that it genuinely detracts from the story, which is grim and violent with no moments of levity. What you learn in the second half is that EVERY single event in the story is happening either to a ridiculously stupid decision or complete dumb luck. It's just... objectively bad. It's complete insanity that this game is getting perfect scores. There is no possible way that the perfect 10 scores were by unbiased reporters. And just look at the PR campaign for this game, which is just character assassination. An actor from the game explains why he thought the father figure of the first story is just like one of the villains of the first story, who was a cannibal and a pedophile. There's even news articles about the game developers working such ludicrous hours that at least one was hospitalized. It's the kind of workers rights violations that should not be supported. This game is terrible and everyone involved should be disgusted at how horribly they've mangled a story that didn't need to be continued. That's difficult for me to even think about, because I've been playing every single one of Naughty Dog's games since I was a kid. The more I learn about the director's behavior when making this game, the more I dislike it. Please do not buy this game. Please don't support these people. Don't exchange good money for a bad story that is poorly told.… Expand

The characters have a real depth and show the wear of a post apocalyptic world where joy is hard found. Great story, great plot great action, unbelievable graphics and a game that is brave enough to push the boundaries

I pretty much enjoyed the game; the graphics, attention to detail, interesting new side characters, and delving back into the shoes of Ellie four years after the first game. Like most games, this had its flaws. Admittedly, I think Joel's death could've been further into the game but what they did with it is fine by me. I think you'd have to know what grief and going through it is actually like to really understand what Ellie was thinking and feeling at the time when she was in Seattle then later on in the ending.

    Most of the reviews here stating it's s*** were posted only 2hrs after the release of the game. When they saw how and when Joel died, they immediately thought the rest of the game is going to be s*** especially when/if they read the spoilers as well. I think that's unfair since they didn't even give it a chance to begin with. And some of them only watched it on YouTube and didn't actually played it.    … Expand

    Во-первых. В этой игре НЕТ никакой ЛГБТ пропаганды. Есть демонстрация поцелуя двух девушек. Тоже самое было в первой части. И что-то никто не кукарекал про ПРОПАГАНДУ. Что-то никого никогда не смущали трахающиеся в жопу норды в скайриме, или гомосексуальные похождения Шепарда в МЕ. Баллада о гее Тони также не вызывала НАСТОЛЬКО много бугуртов. Да даже в симсах есть гей-семьи и всем норм. Тут же поцелуй и всё. Гей-пропаганда. Если ты настолько отбитый правый то иди нахуй, это просто бред.

    Дальше. однообразный геймплей. Угу. А чем первая часть была лучше?? Почему у неё такие высокие оценки? При том, что геймплей остался весьма похож, но улучшен, сделали его более динамичным, добавили больше деталей. Хорошо, вспомним RDR2, Death Stranding, в них еще более медетативный и однообразный геймплей, и всем норм. В любом случае, это намного более увлекательный геймплей, недели задрочка сайдов в каком-нибудь обоссаном ассасине.

    Сюжет. Не знаю, чего вы вообще ждали. В первой части был супер тупой сюжет, про то как персонажи идут из точки А в точку Б. Вывозилось всё на эмоциях на взаимодействии персонажей. И Здесь всё точно так же. Банальный сюжет про месть, который нам показывает жизнь по обе стороны баррикад. И пройдя игру, так и не скажешь, кто тут плохой, а кто хороший. У каждого были свои мотивы. Не бывает полностью плохих людей. Это игра хотела вам показать. Ну и тема с бессмысленностью мести, с тем, что выйдя на эту тропу, через какое-то время уже и сам начинаешь жалеть о выбранном тобой пути, о том, что свернуть с этого пути не стыдно. Игра поднимает филосовские вопросы, на которые игрок сам должен для себя ответить, над которыми сам бы подумал, а как бы я поступил оказавшись в подобной ситуации. ТАКИМ должно быть творчество. Оставляющее после себя эмоции и дающее пищу для размышлений.

    На самом деле наверное хорошо, что игра так сильно поделила людей на два лагеря. Это показывает то, что равнодушных к ней просто нет. И каждому нужно поиграть самому, и сложить своё мнение, а не черпать его из обзоров.    … Expand

    The rest of the game unfortunately falls short. The game is broken down into two activities. You're either walking around looking for scraps or engaged in combat. This loop gets repetitive since the game is quite long. Combat is slow and methodical so it eventually begins to drag till you throw stealth out the window and just start beating everything with a bat. It's also a bit easy. I played on the hard difficulty and found melee to be laughably overpowered.

    I suppose Last of Us is more about experiencing the story, the world, and the characters. Sadly, the story is dull. The characters are extremely unlikable, and nothing really happens. It's just a series of events strung together on the basis of one plot point.

    I played the first game and hold it in high regard. I'll be honest, i got 15 hours in on this one and couldn't handle anymore. I was just so bored I ended up deleting it from my console with no intention of going back    … Expand

El juego me gustó bastante en el sentido de gameplay muy bien elaborados los mapeados las físicas y cada detalle está hecho con mucho cariño pero la historia es bastante mala en el sentido que quieren que nos encariñemos con un personaje que nos quito a uno que queríamos del primer juego de una manera muy cruda es muy forzado todo nos muestran una historia desde la perspectiva de ellie y cuando pensamos que estamos en la batalla final nos la cortan para ver la historia del otro personaje, rompe con todo el ritmo y a volver a empezar desde el inicio pero con el otro personaje después es incuerente muchas partes que después que ellie pierde contra ese personaje por primera vez va decidida a seguir con su venganza y cuando va a matar al otro personaje lo perdona pensando que la venganza es mala y entonces ella hace un viaje por gusto para perderlo todo después en fin esa es mi opinión.… Expand

Trust me most people I have spoke with who avoided spoilers then played the game loved it. Personally, I understand the hate but I also understand why people believe it is a masterpiece. There is some pacing issues but does a lot of things very well. The combat is pretty similar to the first one but they’ve added all the things you wished you could do in the first one making Ellie much more agile than Joel - kind of like an uncharted meets TLOU 1. Overall this game is a rollercoaster of emotions that will never leave you. I recommend this game to anyone who is on the fence about it!… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last Of Us Part II made me think about a game that was released to critical acclaim in early 2013. The game was praised for it's inclusion of, and dealing with, difficult themes like racism, extremism and nationalism and multiple reviewers nominated it instantly for game of the year. That is until the original The Last Of Us was released a couple of months later. The game I'm referring to is Bioshock Infinite. 

The reason The Last Of Us Part II reminded me of this, admittedly incredible, game was as a result of the realisation on how far the medium has come since it's release. One of the most memorable scenes in Bioschock Infinite, regarding racism, led the player to a raffle where a choice is presented for the player to throw a baseball in one of two directions. Through Booker DeWitt (coincidentally voiced by Troy Baker), the player can choose to throw the ball at an interracial couple tied up amidst jungle decor including depictions of monkeys and a giant blackface behind them or at the presenter that's working up the crowd to do the same which would result in the stoning of the couple. It was an incredible moment that dared to drop such a serious topic on the player and it was the first time I considered videogame characters as more than just their total sum of pixels and programming. The game, however, never accepts the consequences of either option for the player. It doesn't matter what choice you let Booker perform he will always be stopped by a guard who recognises the player character, setting the resulting narrative in action. The player never has to face the outcome of their choice. Bioshock Infinite was in that sense still a typical 'gamey' game.

    Where Bioshock Infinite carefully opened the door to take a quick look at what games could someday be, The Last Of Us 2 completely knocks that door down and rushes through to the other end. It is a brutally honest game; honest to it's characters, world and the various themes it presents but even moreso to it's players. Naughty Dog, from beginning to end, forces them to come to grips with their actions in game, playing as both Ellie and Abby, resulting in a certain emotional toll on the player. And even moreso: they masterfully craft those emotions through various nuances and intensity. We flow from sheer excitement to be back in this world to an incredible mixture of hate and wanting revenge. From that the player is carefully and step by step allowed to feel shock, trauma, disgust, fear, hope and, what left the greatest impression on me: grief.

    This, for me, is the first game ever to accomplish this. I vividly remember when I had to play as Abby and I sincerely hoped it wouldn't take too much time. It felt uncomfortable and even though I realised why I had to play as Abby, her murdering Joel simply still hurt too much. At the end of her three days and inching closer to the confrontation with Ellie I understood her character and what she has been through. I understood what she did and what it had cost her. Then the confrontation with Ellie starts and my heart is beating furiously in my throat. Though I empathise with Abby I definitely don't want her to kill Ellie, least of all when I'm controlling her. I also don't want Abby to be killed by Ellie. I've never wanted to avert a 'boss-fight' this much.

    Then the Farm scene acts as an incredible release valve. For a moment all seems well. Ellie and Dina survived Seattle and have settled on the most beautiful farm with little JJ. It all just feels a little too perfect. And it is. It was at this time I finally realised that the narrative followed a traditional five-act structure and that the act of peripety still had to come. The peripety is typically set in motion by a messenger and results in the final showdown and conclusion of the main character's story. Ellie's PTSD and Tommy's visit both act as our messenger and sure enough it does move the pieces to the final conflict. Ellie once again goes after Abby for revenge with a drive to kill her. This time however it is in no way to get justice for Joel's death as it is much more about Ellie desperately trying to find a way to deal with her trauma. Where I sympathised with her quest for revenge after Joel died I couldn't be more antagonistic to her actions now. I wanted to somehow make her realise all she is throwing away by going after Abby now. 

Then, after it's conclusion, even weeks after finishing the game, what remains is grief. Revisiting some pivotal scenes reveal that in how it first evokes hate, it now manifests as a deep sadness. The Last Of Us Part II perhaps isn't the perfect game, but to me it is the first game te genuinely transcend the medium. It creates realistic, multidimensional characters and doesn't shy away from their imperfections all the while dealing with delicate themes with the respect they deserve. This game is a successful attempt to mature the medium and I can't wait how it will influence future gaming.    … Expand

I have mixed feelings about this game, the graphics are stunning and the gameplay is great however the story could've been written a lot better than what was put out, literally a slap in the face to the beloved characters of the first game and the fans. However this story had some amazing moments when it came to the Ellie's flashbacks with Joel, and listening to Ellie play the guitar. The game felt very realistic while in combat which was amazing... but the time i spent playing as Abby felt so dragged out i kept taking constant breaks, it seems like the game tries to make us all like Abby but for most of us that was never the case. Also part of this game just felt like nothing but a message, please keep politics out of video games and let people enjoy themselves.… Expand

    Ужасный сюжет, вообще никак не логичны ни действия персонажей, да и сами персонажи отвратительны, все до одного. Геймплей чуточку разнообразен. Графика на высоте. Но в общем продукт не стоит своих денег.

    Amazing game! Really cool game play and i really like the story and the graphics are beautifull! Only sometimes the parts where you need to walk to an new story moment is a little to long.

    I actually enjoyed this game. I believe it to be game of the year. An emotional roller coaster. They did a good job with the story mixing. I wasn't too fond of the hidden cultural type of propaganda behind certain characters. However, the overall game was very well done.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
