    this game is so good, and you can’t say this game sucks cause c’mon, the graphics, the gameplay, the voice acting, the facial expression, the IA, the combats, they’re all fenomenal. The story is quite misleading but it’s still good!

    This time I would not pay attention to most user reviews. I do not think this game is a full 10 but rather a 9 which describes it the best. Just in the technical and mechanical aspect it earns more than a 6 so giving it a 0 is pure hate. Now the game is very well made and bugs were very hard to find and the graphics are just spectacular. The gameplay is improved and much more fun, but not,This time I would not pay attention to most user reviews. I do not think this game is a full 10 but rather a 9 which describes it the best. Just in the technical and mechanical aspect it earns more than a 6 so giving it a 0 is pure hate. Now the game is very well made and bugs were very hard to find and the graphics are just spectacular. The gameplay is improved and much more fun, but not, by any means, super revolutionary. The story is what triggers a lot of people, which is understandable but at the same time not. To give a true assessment you have to look at the story objectively. In other words, you have to look at how the story progresses the way they try to tell a story and what they are trying to tell us indirectly (underlying meaning) instead of just looking at what you wished would happen and how you feel about a certain event. I like how the game rewards the players for exploring every little corner with notes that enriches the story furthermore. They have background stories for almost anything; instead of just showing the outcome they offer the events that happened prior to it making it a much more immersive story experience.

    From people just giving pure herd-like hate to people that did not finish the game, I am disappointed to see the gaming community become as toxic as the people they were against.

    Not as good and impressive as the last one (of course) but it is still a great game and I would definitely recommend it for anyone that does not have a weak stomach.    … Expand

    The game play is fun, it looks beautiful, and the story is fine. The most annoying current trend is when people throw temper tantrums when things don't turn out exactly how they want it to. It's a good game, plain and simple.

I just want to say, for everyone in the comments who said this game was anything lower than a 7 on this scale is jumping in the hate bandwagon. This game delivered on its promises, there is over 40 hours of game play 60 if its on hardest difficulty, people are angry because they killed Joel. Wtf did they expect? There has to be a big issue in any story and sometimes we can’t all win, there had to be loss and what greater loss than that? Imagine you’re Abby your father was murdered by some **** guy you have no connection to and you don’t know. You’d do the same in a world like that. People need to let go of the notion that every story has to accommodate what their idea of a “good story” is. Its tragic. Abby killed Joel in retaliation for Joel killing her father, Ellie killed all of her friends including a pregnant woman with an unborn child. There is blood for blood and both women are caught in a loop of revenge. Story development was good and you sympathize with Abby and Ellie because they both get a good amount of screen time. Its only fair you see abbys perspective because Ellie’s was all last game. Stop jumping on the hate wagon cuz ur favorite character died, grow the helm up. This story was emotionally charged and deeply disturbing on many levels and that’s what I love about naughty dog, they don’t back down. Complete masterpiece. I have it a 9 only because the story was great but the way it was presented was a bit of a mind **** that honestly could of been presented better. But the outcome was still incredible and I still cried and I felt 0 satisfaction in the end. Questions were answered but more questions came up and that’s how I like it. Can’t wait for part 3 I hope to not be waiting another 7 years!!… Expand

    Yes, maybe this time the story isn't brilliant, but everything else is still perfect.

    Without spoiling anything, the fight comes down to one simple thing; Naughty Dog thinks of their games as movies, and in this particular case they made a decision about how to deliver the story to players that mirrors narrative structure from the Tarantino novels-as-films school of thought. Meaning, Tarantino regularly plays out long scenes - long being defined as 10-20 minutes in the context of a film - before revealing to you what’s going on.

    Neil Druckman is clearly a fan of that. And so am I, frankly. It’s a beautiful thing when executed properly.

    But here’s the problem. Games aren’t films. If you’re going to play out a scene for 10-20 minutes in a film, you can trust that the director is going to pay you off relatively soon and hang in there for the angsty in-between time. In a game, that in between time could be hours rather than minutes. And in the case of TLOU2, it is many, many hours.

    That’s too long. The trope dies, and you wind up resenting the people you’re supposed to be coming to love. And hating every new encounter while you wait to find out what happens. It takes too long.

    If Tarantino held a scene for hours, rather than 10-20 minutes, I would hate that, too. The scene in the farm house at the beginning of Inglorious Basterds where you don’t know that the Jewish family is under the floorboards until 20 minutes in? Incredible. Masterful. One of the best scenes in cinematic history. On the other hand, The Hateful Eight taking upwards of three hours to reveal who the hell all the players are and what their motivations are? Too long, he lost me, and statistically, most moviegoers.

    Naughty Dog commits that same narrative sin here, except in this case it takes roughly three times longer than the sin in The Hateful Eight. That’s a *long* time. As a writer and a game, novel and film lover, even I found it painful to get through the second half of this game. I could see that Neil wanted me to love the characters involved. And I was with him, begrudgingly, for the first couple hours, but eventually I grew to resent the whole endeavor. I threw up my hands and said, **** it, kill them, or kill someone else, or kill everyone, I don’t care, just do *something*”. It was exhausting. And I don’t relish that assertion. It’s just a fact.

    Games shouldn’t use this narrative trope. It doesn’t work.

    Apart from that *one* nagging issue, let’s be clear, this game is immaculate. One of the greatest pieces of any type of media ever created. The gameplay is every bit as great as MGSV and RDR2. The graphics are absolutely insane on a very old console on its last gasp. It runs extremely well and I encountered exactly zero glitches or frame rate issues in more than 30 hours of gameplay. The delivery of the story is unbelievably seamless and the pacing is great from that perspective.

    This game is 9 parts perfect, 1 part broken. Anybody who says it’s a 0 is an incurious, unfair, self-righteous baby. And in most cases I’m quite sure they haven’t beaten or in many cases even played/purchased the game. On the other hand, I strongly disagree with anybody who says this is a perfect 10.

    My problem is not with what happens to beloved characters. That’s fine. It is the creator’s prerogative to do what they feel is right and narratively compelling. The problem is the way they do it that ensures a long, hateful gameplay slog for the real-life experiencer through more than half of the game. By the end, I was rushing through and no longer exploring because I was that exhausted. I *never* do that, especially with a game from Naughty Dog, which is my favorite creator in all media by a factor of 10.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Just incredible. The gameplay is improved over the first game in every conceivable way. Stealth is difficult but rewarding. Guns are varied and customisable. Hand to hand combat is more involved and manages to replace most QTEs with something that feels more like gameplay.

    The graphics are out of this world. I was wondering whether I needed to wait for the PS5 for the game to look good enough, but the PS4 looks every bit as good as the E3 trailers, just with lower resolution, some aliasing and dithering artifacts, and some slightly nauseating effect while panning the camera quickly (temporal upsampling artifacts maybe?). Still worth it for the amazing detail on characters and environments.

    The story has upset some people (spoiler time) but I liked it. The game feels like a hopeless cycle of murder and revenge, but doesn't feel repetitive by the end. It was always building towards something, but not quite what I wanted. (Full spoilers time) Abby is a better person than Ellie and I kind of wish Abby had killed her. I cared about Abby and her friends, I cared about Dina and Jesse. I understood where Ellie was coming from.

    I empathized with all of them (especially Yara and Lev). I chose my side, you can choose yours, but Naughty Dog's portrayal of humans doing human things is top notch.    … Expand

Подводя итоги, я могу сказать, что первую часть переплюнуть было бы очень сложно, но спасибо Дракману и Naughty Dog, что они выдали продукт не хуже оригинала. В игре улучшали и так очень крепкий и интересный костяк геймплея, сделав его более вертикальным, проработав локации так, что ты всегда можешь на полную проявить свою креативность в его ее прохождении. Выдали все такой же простой сюжет, как в первой части, но засечь атмосферы, постановки и переосмыслений некоторых мыслей, сюжет выглядит интересным и интригующим до самого конца. И скажу, что как и спервоначалу частью концовку будут обсуждать многие, то насколько она противоречива, то как должны была поступить героиня итд. В этом плане игра держат планку, заданную 7 лет назад. И по сути правда, ведь всё гениальное — просто. The Last of Us Part II — это комплексное произведение, которое затрагивает много спорных тем и лишь пытается найти в них истину, а то как вы отнесетесь к ней, зависит только от вас.

    В свое время я поставил первой части 9,5/10, что я хотел сделать и со второй, но все же я не могу этого сделать так как все же среди новых героев The Last of Us Part II, на протяжении всего прохождения, я не смог выделить симпатичного мне персонажа. От катарсиса, который захватывает тебя в какой-то момент, практически ничего не остаётся к финалу. Закончилась бы эта история на несколько часов ранее, и такой усталости бы не возникло.

    Если первую часть истории Элли и Джоэла вы могли советовать кому угодно, взахлёб рассказывая почему это приключение запомнилось вам надолго, то в случае со второй частью вы тысячу раз подумаете, как эта история резонировала с вами и сможет ли она вызвать какой-то отклик в душе у другого человека. Но лично у меня она смогла это сделать, поэтому моя оценка игре 9/10, если вам нравилась первая игра, то я прошу дать шанс и второй, так как она действительно это заслуживает, игроки не знакомые с серией, лучше пройдите в начале первую часть и только потом решайте нужно ли вам оно. Повторюсь, что я буду защищать эту игру, ибо она почти Шедевральна и не заслуживает той клеветы, которую геймеры обрушили на неё из-за сливов, которые не передают всей полноты картины.    … Expand

In other words, the feelings when you are inextricably linked with the game , experiencing the events, emotions, feelings of the main characters are what you should get from such kind of games. So that’s it! You will definitely find these aspects in The Last of Us 2 like in no other game!

    Throughout the story, which was very cool revealed to us from both opposite sides, you ask yourself questions like “What would I do in this situation?”, “If I could change something, would I do otherwise?”. All the emotions that come with these questions are priceless. You are disappointed, happy, proud, surprised by the actions of the main characters.

    The coolest thing is that the story of the Last Of Us 2 highlights the fact that everything is relative. The line between «good» and «evil» or “right” and “wrong” is often very difficult to distinguish. In many difficult situations you make decisions based on limited information. Often you make decisions that may seem right at a given time. That makes you think about it and move these questions into your real life. It hurts that people are only guided by their expectations of the game. I can't say that I’m an exception in these aspects. However, it‘s important to understand that all those issues for which the game is criticized are in our real life: LGBT, masculinity of female characters etc. It’s an integral part of our life. Why in the world of Last Of Us it had to disappear? Instead, you should ask yourself: why do I feel this way about this game? Please, score the game considering not just your expectations but based on all aspects of it. The low score and sales, by the way, could cause the rejection of the next Last Of Us part.

    Summing up, I would like to say that I definitely advise to play the game till the end of the plot! This is a very interesting, emotional story, which is accompanied by a great picture and atmosphere. The game will not leave you indifferent. So do not pay attention to the score!     Just finished my play through that took me roughly 30 hours. After waiting for 5 years for this game and avoiding any social media or spoilers i can honestly say this now one of my favorite story games of all time. Let me be clear though... I wasn't happy but it was necessary and not pointless.
    This game had moments where i was physically effected by the drama happening on screen. I was afraid that the writers and the director were going to make me do things i didn't want to do. It was very hard but i trusted the story and just kept playing. After playing through the mid game twist you start to realize the underlying message. There are no heroes in this world and the choices we make have consequences.
    Last of Us 2 is a true sequel in the sense that this whole game is the fallout of the choice that Joel made at the end of Part 1 and by the time to get to the end you will be happy that good does prevail and the cycle of hate can be broken by an incredible gesture of empathy.
    This game took a BOLD chance by holding up a mirror to the player. the game forces you to face you biases and forces you to consider the consequences of our actions.
    If you are unable to look past the sexual preference of the main character( which was established in part 1) or if you cant enjoy the game because the message feels too "political" this is not the game for you. The team behind this game are not trying to force you to like certain things or agree with them. They are simply trying to get you to understand them even though you may hate them. Respect and understanding is what the characters in this story are missing and they suffer for it and it hurts to see them suffer. for those of you who have had the game spoiled and are hesitant to play let me just say this... The writing is Phenomenal and to trust the makers of the game to stick the landing.

It is amazing the amount of feels you get while playing it and that is one of the most amazing things you can get from a game. In fact, I don't know if we can call, for example, The Last of Us Part I & Part II or Red Dead Redemption 1 & 2, games. In TLOU II there's a lot of incredible things going on. For start, game design and the level of detail of this apocalyptic world are beyond amazing, I don't know if there's another title with this level of greatness on that matter. Gameplay also is incredible with new movements and animations that feel fresh and with the feeling that not all encounters are going to develop in the same way every time. Semi 'open world' gives a clever way to show evolution in the franchise. Sound design is marvelous, specially while playing it with a good set of headphones, you can feel inside this world, and sometimes you get uncomfortable when your 'zombie' enemies: clickers, stalkers or runners are ready to hunt you down.

    The story, which it seems to be the matter of disagreement among gamers, for me was great. And I don't know when everyone became so expert on writing and storytelling. Although this is a revenge story and you could say is a cliché storyline, I think this kind of stories never gets old. The message behind and the one I got was really touching and, in a matter of fact, very applicable to so many societies around the world. And no, I am not talking about the LGBTI content which, by the way, I don't get why people on 2020 are offended by.

    Talking with spoilers beyond this point, I think Ellie's motivation was completely right just as right as Abby's. You see Abby as the villain for a long run of the story, but when you get into her shoes is where it lies one of the messages of TLOU II, there are two sides on every story. And even sometimes you can hate the Abby character, there's no denial that you can feel her pain and how broke she went with the loss of her father, and eventually all his friends and love interest. An eye for an eye, seems to be one of the guides along the story, but at what cost? And that's the question that comes to shine, specially when Ellie's actions went too far in the pursue of her vengeance, like killing a pregnant woman who refused to tell her some information. And in the end, when Ellie realizes that she can't stop thinking about it, that she can't sleep knowing she didn't got her revenge, and eventually being that close to kill abby is where the story really delivers, because, for me, she realizes that killing Abby isn't going to bring Joel back to life and maybe isn't going to give her back her sleep or her calm. Joel made his own decision back in TLOU I, and it was a really hard decision but as we can see it came with several consequences. Ellie is a completely different character, with her own feelings and thoughts. In her pursue of vengeance Ellie looses her love interest and she is completely alone, she is forever wounded physically, mentally and in the most deep of her soul. I don't think that she leaving behind Joel's guitar was an act of ungratefulness or such, I think is a sign of what she lost, she lost her capacity to play the guitar forever again, guitar that Joel gave her and taught her how to play, and that kind of wound will never be healed.

    I don't think TLOU II is perfect, there are some repetitive stuff in things to do, and you may feel annoyed going on some missions. For example, Abby's quest for the medical supply didn't got to me that much but it was shocking with that huge infected encounter. It has some passing issues and with some cliché and predicable things that happened, and some plot holes. I think that in a very long time I'm not replaying TLOU II because it may feel really long and tedious. I write this review while listening to the original Soundtrack and I have to say, it is amazing and really touching, I wished it was more used during the story to give it a more emotional experience.

    The Last of Us Part II is an incredible story with one of the best gameplays and graphic design for this generation of consoles. The story has a great impact on you if you keep an open mind and give the opportunity to this characters to get into you. I don't know but maybe people would be happier if this was the third story of the franchise and there was middle story in which we could see more of the immediate repercussions of TLOU I and all of the things between Joel and Ellie after her discovering of the truth.

    We, as the player can use the opposites view to feel the same story, one hero can be the most hated enemy for another, this is another breaking point of Naughty Dog.
    Gameplay is enjoyable, graphic is as good as lifelike.

Solo hay personajes que buscan sobrevivir, con base en los ideales de cada uno. Es un mundo cruel y gris, que saca lo peor de cada persona. Me hizo enojarme, me hizo llorar, por eso amo los videojuegos, por todo lo que puede generar.

I think the fact that so many of these reviews are 0/10, and that it got review bombed with 0/10 keyboard smash reviews right at the hour it was released just goes to show how whiny gamers are. Sure you might not like the game, but it’s clearly not a 0/10. Don’t get me wrong, there are lots of legitimate criticisms to the game but there are tons of illegitimate, petty ones too. Of course the game isn’t perfect: it’s constantly bleak with few moments of levity, it’s endlessly violent, and it transforms a girl we knew as a beacon of hope into a revenge driven slaughtering machine. But I hate to break it to people: the world these games take place in is constantly bleak. It’s endlessly violent. And Ellie goes through this transformation to mirror Abby; a girl who had her father and community slaughtered by Joel. By US as the player. It might make people upset, and as tragic as it was, it makes sense to me that Joel’s actions caught up to him. And again, it might make people upset, but it makes sense to me that in the end Ellie lets Abby go. I think it shows a lot about her character and that somewhere in there she still has that goodness that we see in the first game. Ellie knows that this is the woman who killed her surrogate father. But she also sees that Abby has become a surrogate mother for Lev, and chooses to make her peace and break the cycle of violence and revenge. I’ll finish by saying that I definitely enjoyed the first game more. But that doesn’t mean this is a bad game: not in the slightest. As the user rating begins to rise (since people who have actually played the game and not peeked at spoilers online are starting to leave their thoughts), I think we’ll begin to see proof that while the irrational negativity of the members of the video game community is often relentlessly, impossibly loud, once they quiet down, it opens up the room for actual conversation, which I’m eager to see. P.S. stop being dicks to the actors that were in the game. You might hate it but they had nothing to do with the writing.… Expand

    Honestly, this game is great. As a hardcore fan of the original Last of Us and someone who saw all of the leaks, let's just say I wasn't too thrilled with this game. But I still gave it a second chance and what can I say? Neil was right, context is everything. This game really makes you feel for every single character in the story whether good, or bad. I know a lot of outlets have beenHonestly, this game is great. As a hardcore fan of the original Last of Us and someone who saw all of the leaks, let's just say I wasn't too thrilled with this game. But I still gave it a second chance and what can I say? Neil was right, context is everything. This game really makes you feel for every single character in the story whether good, or bad. I know a lot of outlets have been saying that the story is just too depressing and has no moments of levity, but I would be lying if I said that I didn't cry out of sheer happiness a few times. Although there were two story moments that I didn't agree with personally, I can see why they were in the game and I absolutely respect their inclusion. The ending too was something that I was hesitant of at first, but they even managed to pull that off while also giving it a much more understated feel then part one's ending. Now, onto everything that isn't story. The music in this game is fantastic, with Gustavo once again hitting the mark on every track (with unbroken being my personal favorite) while Mac Quayle is brought in to work on more combat centric pieces. And i must say, he does a wonderful job. If you were a fan of the gameplay of the first game (like myself) then you will love what they've done here. Both Ellie and Abby feel much better to control then Joel. With Ellie in particular feeling much more agile then any of the other characters. Ontop of that the weapons themselves feel somewhat improved (although they control quite similar to the first games), the upgrade system has been greatly expanded, with tonnes of new perks and paths to take. Plus as an added bonus companions can now actually aim, shoot people, and hide too. When in combat the game is something else entirely, you weave your way through increasingly bigger encounter maps with more and more enemies until, you inevitably get spotted. This is when it gets really interesting. I personally played the game on grounded which led to combat encounters being scary and adrenaline inducing. I can't even count how many times I would get out of combat and still feel my heart racing and adrenaline burning off. The combination of the combat music, gunplay, and enemy ai leads to something that is even more tense then the first game. With my personal favorite combat moment being whenever I tried to snipe someone with a bow. As the sound effects and vibrations of the controller really made it feel the tension in the bow string and like this thing i'm holding could snap any minute. So overall, I have this game a 9/10, great combat, (mostly) great story, but it does end up dragging on for a few more hours then it needed to.… Expand

    I just finished this game yesterday. I think that it’s incredibly well written, the characters are likeable and every action taken by each character is justified. I don’t understand all the hate this game is getting. You have to play it to fully experience it.

    An honestly amazing game. Many people here hate it because of the story and how it seems to betray you, but that is exactly the point. The game is not supposed to make you comfortable, it's supposed to make you angry, and it does just that. I loved it. Only reason it isn't a 10 is because the gameplay can get slightly repetitive, but besides that, amazing.

    I loved it. It's as bittersweet as only a "The last of us" game can be. The story plays with your feelings and morals as few games can. Not the perfect game, but storywise I think it's the best of the year.

I felt a little angry at the game’s story at times, but by the end, it feels complete and bold. Intense, interesting, and fun (in terms of gameplay, not story of course), this game is really good. And while I loved the relationship between Joel and Ellie, the great story here along with the drastically better gameplay and graphics make me prefer this game to be honest, although the original will always have a special place in my heart. And, without spoiling, I feel it does do Joel justice, but you have to play the WHOLE game to understand that.

    Finally, even if you are bad at these games, I would highly recommend to at least try moderate or hard difficulty with aim assist and other accessibility features (some of them go too far, but most don’t sacrifice the experience). If you are still bad, you can change the difficulty, or even only certain aspects, in the settings at any time. I felt that the increased difficulty didn’t make me die a lot more, but it made the experience more intense and made me have to consider my resources slightly more.     However, neither of these are the controversial aspect of the game. The narrative direction has pissed a lot of people off, to say the least. Personally, I loved the way the plot progressed, because it felt like I was in the pages of a gripping novel, the kind that you can't put down. That's the best way to think about this game, as a novel. Tension ratchets up and simmers off and ratchets up again. It's messy, the objective you start out with is never achieved. It's frustrating. In that way, I think it emulates real life far better than the first game, which is decidedly more movie-like. If you don't like reading, you're probably going to struggle with this story. It isn't for everyone.

    This game has grown on me in the weeks since completion, and I have a great respect for Naughty Dog pushing the bounds of storytelling in video games. There are issues that I have with the game; enough to knock it down to a nine in fact. However, if you own a PS4, do yourself a favor and buy this wonderful mess.    … Expand

    Beautiful game. Gave me the closure I needed for the story from the first one. It was amazing to see the story in so many points of view. VERY heavy on story and light on gameplay would be my only complaint. It was fantastic though. Seeing a story that didnt involve me battle royaling or competing was a breath of fresh air.     I loved this game as well as this franchise and I want to give it a 10/10 but it just falls flat of that. I didn’t think they could make a game that was as good as the first, this game will just make me want to play it again knowing what the outcome is. I will play it and try to get the 100% achievement in the game.

    The game is great . It has a great story , eaual to its predecessor . Gameplay is as usual . Graphics are really nice and that goes for the extras . The only flaw is Ellie's movement which is slopy at least , something unacceptable for a game of this quality . Bold move to take a stand for the LGB community ,. Don t love it but it doesn't affect how i feel about the game .

    Neil, thank you for not coddling us with invincible characters that have no humanity, no repercussions for their actions, and no realistic growth from experiences. This game was a refreshing departure from the cookie cutter, black and white happily ever after crap, and throws us deep into the gray end that is humanity. Loved this game as much or more than the first.

    The major con I have for the game is pacing in some parts as there’s a lot of slow moving sections and long cut scenes which is why I’ve knocked off 1 point as these parts hinder the replayability slightly (would be great if ND lets you skip these sections).    … Expand

    Naughty Dog took some bold decisions with Part 2, and it certainly paid off. Brutal game play, great characters made possible by phenomenal acting and a story that makes you really question your actions all leads to a truly once in a generation game. This game is certainly worth at least a try, and if you're willing to open yourself up to other perspectives then I have no doubt you'll enjoy this.

    Excelent game, if you are focus only on the political, I think you have some problems with that, because It dosn`t matter in the game, the game try to be a reflect about emotions and the consequenses of the revenge. ellie forgave so late and she lost everything!...and I can`t talk about abby because it is an experience so you can forgive her.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I get why people hated this, I was one for about 60% of my playthrough yet 2 days post completion this game is on my mind 24/7. This is simply a story of what revenge can do to a person and how when faced with the worst situations imaginable and in our darkest moments, our ability to forgive is what can save us. I understand the story ND are trying to tell and forcing you to play as Abby, the character who brutally murders Joel in the first 2 hours of the game, for about 50% of the game initially is awful. I'm sure I'm not the only one who spent more time then is healthy walking Abby into infected and throwing her of ledges. What this does though is force you as the player to see how being consumed by a need for revenge can cost you. Ellie lost Jesse, Dina, JJ and her chance of a peaceful happy life in her pursuit of revenge and Abby lost Owen, Yara, Manny, her steady life and her dog in hers. All this stems from avenging their surrogate and actual fathers respectively and the way ND makes you see this from both perspectives in uncomfortable however a genius and bold move. I hated Abby after she killed Joel, i absolutely despised her yet in the final showdown I did not want to kill her. For those who say Abby lost nothing, im sorry but no. All her close companions are dead, unlike Ellies (Dina, Tommy and JJ are alive at the end) and where she and Lev ended up, i would not wish that on my worst enemy and that resort haunts me at the thought of the horrors that occurred there. Ellie showed little character growth until the very end but that was the perfect moment for her to realise, her killing Abby would not bring Joel back nor would it undo the horrors she has both faced and inflicted. She made a decision to let go and to finally give herself a chance to grow and to heal and I dont know where she will end up, but I'd like to think she is back in Jackson with JJ and Dina and happily letting Tommy think Abby is dead. This is not a pretty game but it never pretended to be in terms of story. It is bleak, it is uncomfortable and it forces you to ask and answer difficult questions. What other form of entertainment can do that for you?

    Pacing can be a bit of a mess at times and certain bits can drag out, you spend a lot of time questionning the point of it all and it can be glitchy in parts. I also absolutely bloody hated having to kill Alice, Abbys dog and in combat you will probably have to kill many more pooches which a lot of people will hate but in this world its kill or be killed.

    The graphics are stunning and the way your environment reacts to your presence reflect the attention to detail poured into this game.

    The flashback scenes are heartbreaking and poignant and serve a purpose as well as providing more insight into the events that occurred over the 4 year gap.

    Overall, play this game I urge you and come to your own conclusion. If you arent sure you want to drop this much money on a game you think you really really wont like, wait until it drops in price but it deserves to be experienced and doesn't deserve the hate it is getting elsewhere.    … Expand

Так, Эбигейл после убийства Джоэла потеряла себя, ведь ее цель жизни была месть за отца, но свершив ее девушка попала в заблуждение. Но больше всего в игре тронул финал и сцены с воспоминаниями. Может быть Элли все таки осознала смысл жизни и нашла в этом мире себя? Ну смело можно сказать, что девочка увидела в Эбби Джоэла. Очень смелый и сильный поступок разработчиков. Респект.

    В игре есть множество интересных событий, а мир апокалипсиса отображен так красиво и чётко, что при его изучении аж мурашки по коже. Да, есть некоторые неприятные сюжетные моменты, но пройдя игру до конца можно смело поставить 9/10.

    Я не понимаю критику этой игры другими игроками. Многие ее критикуют даже не пройдя этот шедевр на 30% приводя одни и те же аргументы, которые, порой, звучат ужасно глупо.

    This is based off a 22 hour playthrough gathering all collectibles, inspecting and reading all collectables. I will be doing a second playthrough to fully upgrade weapons and skills to get platinum trophy. Nothing will ever top the last of us for me, it has been my favourite game since it came out, and part 2 although not beating it, holds a place in my favourites. To be frank, I also was one of those who wanted 450 hours of Ellie jokes and another 100 hours of Joel singing sweet nothings through my screen, but this game instead put me down an emotional, nerve-wrecking, anxiety driven journey that I didn’t think it ever could. And I loved it. Don’t get me wrong, I too, also screamed profusely rude slurs toward Abby when that golf club made impact on my favourite characters head, it sent me down a raging path, I’m not saying I purposely let Ellie kill me 29 times before deciding I could not change what was already in the game, and I took my fate and I cried my way through beating Ellie to an ever loving pulp(I’m sorry).

    Of course I felt the need to stop playing when I officially had to be Abby. My rude awakening happened when I had to realise that it’s a game, and the creators of the game knew exactly what to do, and I got back to it. I couldn’t believe how much I wanted her group to perish in fire, it was like naughty dog had placed me under a demonic spell of hatred, I loved it. The game was well paced, the story was beautiful in all its bloody glory, I cried, laughed, closed one eye when those wretched little stalkers ran along the floor. But I loved it. Most of it. Personally, I’d have loved a little more with Tommy, considering both Ellie and Tommy wanted the same goal, as we were always a step or two behind him, I’d have liked to see him within a few missions. The premise of the game seemed to allude itself. With the objective to seek revenge after watching Joel get clobbered to death. Why did Ellie allow her to chew her fingers off like some cannibal and then call it quits? She left Dina after Tommy came to call her out, and she sets out once again travelling to finish her, and again, does not do it. In regards to Abby. It took me a while to feel like playing her was a chore which is sad. I just felt sad, to leave it on that cutscene, was she going to kill the rest of my favourite characters? Would Tommy tickle her ankle and Ellie would slap the gun from her hand? All these thoughts, yet there I was standing in a building with Abby, absolutely clueless as to how her adventure to the theatre concluded. But then I could throw balls to a dog, and I spent an unregretable amount of time doing so, and the balance came back. (No honestly, why did she get to have the dogs on her side? Do you know how many of those good boys I killed?) I never really had the connection with Abby but my lord did I understand her character. The realism in this game was out of this world. Humans make choices everyday, and some choices have bigger consequences, and this game it showed. And that’s what I loved. Every character had a motive. An unwillingness to let go of someone you loved. A justice for a death of a father. Justice for a dead brother. Each reason, brought consequence. And everyone paid a price at the end, like humans do. It’s so easy to side with Ellie, we played a full game with her already, we understood Ellie and Joel. We felt like what they did, was all right. And then Abby comes along, wanting justice for the murder of her father, and suddenly we are conflicted. We are stuck within the grey area of view, where right and wrong is skewed. It’s a perfect game, it’s raw, brings the emotional integrity of the player to all new highs. I wish people understood the masterpiece properly, to stop thinking about the political side, of the sides shifting, of anything that doesn’t resemble your way of thinking and just play it, understand it.    … Expand

We had to go through death and loss and at the end nothing was left for us. That is the point. Revenge does nothing in the end but leave you with emptiness and regret. Even I who originally wanted Abby dead after seeing the whole story did not want it anymore by the end. I see so many people complaining and moaning and whining about SJW and Trans **** I cannot believe there are so many bigoted people. You all can go shove it, this game and community does not need you and your hate. While I do have grievances they are very small. This game was an amazing and tragic journey.     I thought the game was really good. I can understand why some people are not a fan of the direction that the developers took with the story. When I got Halfway thru the game I was like "What the Hell!!" But in the end I still enjoyed it. Really upset that this game is getting a lot negative user reviews. If I thought the story was garbage, then I would of at least given it a 6/10.

Да, за эти 10 часов она уже не кажется такой ужасной, но по началу Эбби вызывает только отвращение. Концовка просто замечательная, хотя много кто говорит, что она слитая. Такое чувство, что в разные игры играли.Атмосфера выдающаяся. Думаю, тут никто спорить не будет.

    Я играл на фэт версии плойки и графика меня более чем устроила. На пк с железом 2013 года игра с такой графикой бы никогда даже не запустилась.

    Музыкальное сопровождение бесподобно, как и в первой части.

    Удобное управление. Если вы слишком криворукий для геймпада, то купите эмуль, но это никогда не сравнится с обычным дуалшоком.

    Дубляж неплохой, но, как заметил Алексей Шевцов, в озвучке нет мата. И из-за этого портится один момент связанный с Эбби и Львом. А также актёр, озвучивающий Джоэла поёт по-английски с диким акцентом.

    Физика и анимации тоже хороши, за исключением нескольких незначительных моментов моментов, никакой топорной анимации нет.

Half of the spoilers you heard from people are fake. There are no multiple endings. Only one of the big spoilers some of you probably heard is true. The gameplay is a fantastic upgrade from the first game. Unique weapons, additional crafting, upgrades, and dynamic open ended gameplay keeps the game fresh and not as on-rails and repetitive as the first game. No floating pallets to push around, so we’re good. The ending is very, very good. It left me feeling remorseful but understanding of everyone involved. By the end, the message on the cycle of violence, the lasting effects of trauma and suffering were delivered on a deep and effectual level. the game is visually stunning, barring a few visual hiccups. The game only crashed once on me, on PS4 Pro. The action is gruesome, fluid and satisfying. Melee combat is no longer two dimensional. Gunplay has this quasi-realistic, gritty and lethal feel. There are segments of the game that give a tense survival horror feel. The second hospital visit is terrifying. I highly recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the first game. Scoring: Visuals: Stunning. 9.5/10

Antes que nada es una lastima que haya personas asi, cuando quiero comprar un juego siempre miro la opinion de los jugadores, esto por que creo que es mas veridica (hay muchos rumores de que ciertas companias sobornan a los criticos) pero veo que no es asi. El review boombing que esta recibiendo este juego es horrible. Personas que a las 3 horas de que haya salido el juego ya estaban calificando esto con notas como 0, 1 o 2 sin haber ni siquiera terminarlo. Para todas esas personas les dedico un buen dedo del medio y les deseo que se vallan a la m****a.
    Ahora con el juego:
    La historia de the last of us, aunque no es perfecta, sigue siendo maravillosa. Los personajes tienen un arco que supera a muchas series de televicion. Ellie recorre un camino en busca de venganza por la muerte de joel. Pero no voy a contar mas que eso. La banda sonora sigue siendo increible, con una mezcla de los clasicos con canciones nuevas, todas con una guitarra o un banjo. En resumen suena increible.
    Los graficos creo que son otra de las maravillas que nos ofrece este juego, por suerte uso auriculares pero aun asi podia escuchar el ventilador de mi ps4 a punto de estallar.la jugabilidad es el punto bajo de este juego, si bien no es mala ( aunque a decir.verdad es bastante buena) no propone casi nada nuevo mas que las mecanicas de sigilo.
    El diseño de niveles es bastante parecido al primer juego durante la mayor parte: llegas a una zona elevada-ves el lugar donde tienes que ir-bajas y matas a todos los de la zona hasta que pasas a un lugar inospito-cinematica. Y asi la mayor parte del juego.
    En resumen The last of us es un juego hermoso, triste, pero hermoso. Es un juego que no se merece este nivel de review boombing, que tiene mucho para ofrecer y que invito a todos a probarlo.    … Expand

    It gets tiring to restart the three-day journey now with a despicable character. It was not necessary to show everything of Abby’s life as they even copied lots of models at base that ruins immersion. This part should have been shortened to show us only her relationship with the surgeon killed by Joel, as relatable character development couldn’t have been conveyed to the player.

    I don’t consider it a bad ending. Note that the main objective of the first part was to deliver Ellie to the Fireflies to create a vaccine and such objective wasn’t completed. Joel travels half of the country and at the very end, he decides just go home.

    The real problem was to be forced to play as Abby, it felt like measure to emphasize with her (but there is absolutely no way you could do that after seeing her killing Joel) and becomes desperate to the point to save awesome and memorable parts (such as the Seraphite island and Ray King boss fight) to her. It got disgusting when you are prompted to attack Ellie at the theatre (meaning game over if you let Ellie win     … Expand

I don't think anybody can deny that TLOU2 has incredible graphics, cutscenes, and music, and if you liked the gameplay of the previous game, you'll have an even better time here. However, I don't think a lot of people play Naughty Dog games for the gameplay or the graphics. Those are the icing on the story-based cake, and (boiling hot take here) I liked it. More specifically, I liked it in the same way I like a depressing movie. I don't like how it makes me feel, but I like that it makes me feel.
    90% of people who are reviewing this game poorly cite two things: Joel's early death and the inclusion of LGBT+ characters. They simply cannot look past the fact that Joel died. But if you're willing to see the significance of it, instead of incessantly complaining about how he died too early, then you'll realize that it was done to make you mad. And it succeeded. Now, as for the inclusion of LGBT+ characters: get some tolerance. Everyone's out here griping about how they're "following a political agenda" or "pushing for the left" or whatever, but if Dina was a dude, or Lev wasn't transgender, and they did the EXACT SAME THINGS, y'all wouldn't care. The LGBT+ characters don't do anything more than what straight characters do in other games, yet people complain that they include them too much. I mean, c'mon. They aren't pushing a leftist agenda here, you just can't stomach a game including LGBT+ characters that take the place of straight ones and do the exact same things.
    Naughty Dog definitely took a risk here, and it's clearly not a risk that everyone liked. However, if you're like me, who appreciates feeling something that isn't happiness from a video game, can look past a single choice that, let's be real, y'all are making much bigger than it was, and has a pinch of tolerance in your body, then I think you'll at least marginally enjoy this game. Do I think that certain characters deserved better? Yes! But that's the reality of the world. Not everyone gets a happy ending. And I think that's what makes the game great. It doesn't pull any punches, and it takes risks that make you feel something. People played this expecting another Last Of Us, but this game is by no means its predecessor. It's dark and gritty, and takes a lot of risks. Is it as good as The Last of Us 1? No, definitely not. However, that doesn't mean it deserves all of the 0s it's been getting. It's not a feel good game, that's for sure, but I definitely think it's a good one. At least, if you've got the stomach for it.    … Expand

Maybe the narrative is not good at all, there are parts of the story that are irrelevant but is still a good story. I didn't put this game a perfect note, for the DAY 1 in Seattle with Abby, is so long and boring. The Last of Us Part II wants the player reach to emphatize with Abby, but (in my case) I did not reach to that point. The duration of the game is good, and it's make possible to want to play the story again.

    GRAPHICS AND LEVEL DESIGN: Stunning and awesome.

    SOUNDTRACK: Just perfect.

    GAMEPLAY: Better than the first part, it brings new mechanics to the game.

    NARRATIVE: Joel's death was necessary for the develop of the videogame, in the first part we loved Joel and Ellie and it's obviously that we wanted to play between this characters. But from the reveal of the game, the theme of history would be Ellie's revenge, and Joel's death is the perfect cause (if Dina or Tommy died, it probably wouldn't be too hard on Ellie and the player). The game wanted to emphatize with Abby, knowing her past and the reasons that kept her to kill Joel (Abby had more reasons to kill Joel than Ellie that killed all her friends). But it´s impossible that someone gets Abby like his favorite character, she killed our favorite character and we only wanted to see her death caused by Ellie, but when she had the opportunity to conclude her journey, she wasted it. The message is clear "Revenge is bad", "Break stereotypes", "Be more inclusive" and it's ok, it's undestandable (I did not have problems with the lesbic scenes or the fact that the protagonists are women), but with all the destroys caused by Ellie, abandoned all to kill Abby, and when she was there in the moment, she couldn´t, Bad choice for part of ND.

    There is fair criticism for this game but it is buried beneath antisjw/xbox freaks who want to downvote this game. this game is good, it creates a incredibly unique situation which forces you to empathize which is unlike any other game. The story doesn't hold up to the first but it is also incredibly different. 100% worth a play.

    El juego cuenta con una jugabilidad increible, graficos super buenos, soundtrack bueno,historia muy cruda al estilo de la fraquicia, en terminos generales el juego es muy bueno para cerrar esta generacion de ps4.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. For me it is a great game with great characters, a beautiful game world and well written characters. However, I sometimes don't understand some of Naughty Dog's decisions concerning the story. Most of the characters you learned to love in the first part are portrayed very shabby and evil. I also find the death of Joel, the protagonist from the first part right at the beginning, very sad and pitiful. I also didn't really need the Seattle days with Abby. Here I would have wished for more playing time with Ellie. Apart from that it's a fantastic game and a worthy sequel as usual with Naughty Dog.… Expand

    As someone who saw the leaks and was super disappointed I’ve finally played the game and it’s amazing 9.5 a close 10 a couple small story details that I personally wasn’t a fan of but the game is a must play if you own a PS4 I hear some people saying “ it’s not fun to play “ and I completely disagree it’s a depressing story sure but the game is super fun to play the combat is amazing I’mAs someone who saw the leaks and was super disappointed I’ve finally played the game and it’s amazing 9.5 a close 10 a couple small story details that I personally wasn’t a fan of but the game is a must play if you own a PS4 I hear some people saying “ it’s not fun to play “ and I completely disagree it’s a depressing story sure but the game is super fun to play the combat is amazing I’m already 50% done with my second play through… Expand
