    The last of us 2 is the combination of love, thriller and violence. The game does it works to make you connect to the game at any part of it. Visual and environment are really good make you feel a apocalyptic world, it brings the best out of the game. Gameplay is quite so not satisfying as many and myself was having difficult to adapt the movement of Elie. Gameplay is quite so not satisfying as many and myself was having difficult to adapt the movement of Elie. The story was not good as we expected it carry many flaws. Firstly the death of joel discouraged many players as we have been very connected to joel from last of us part 1 and really wanted to see the joel's fatherhood towards Elie. After the death of joel the game just remain as quest of Elie killing everyone involved in Joel's murder one and another. Secondly the switch to Abby’s perspective doesn’t just grind the narrative to a halt, it also dampens the gameplay experience. So our ratings to visual and gamplay is 9/10, whereas the story only gets 7/10.

    For me this game is something Special. It tried to pull a stunt not many games would be willing to pull.
    It took the heroes and beloved Characters and made them human, made them flawed. the story wasnt perfect and it wasnt bad it was just that a story that wanted to be told and it was told through amazing gameplay and mediocre to good cutscenes i enjoyed my time and will ahve a second go

    Great game that really plays with your emotions and made me feel conflicted about character’s decisions. Gameplay is fantastic and improves upon the first one.

    The best PS4 game I ever played. I totally dont get the hate. Very depressing and dark story, which is exactly what makes a game/movie special in my opinion. I would definitely play it again.

    I don’t think it’s as bad as people are saying. I’d personally rate it a 6.7 exactly. I think it does have some flaws in story telling but they do just the same amount of things right as they do wrong. And I don’t think those bad things should ruin the entire game for me, and they didn’t. Fun and immersive gameplay. Stunning environments and graphics.

    An incredibly bad part 2 which has nothing to do with the sexuality of characters etc. but just the storytelling in itself. Simply disappointing after a 7 year wait. It makes me angry that I was looking forward to it :(

    This game is disappointing tbh. The gameplay and graphics are good but the story sucked. Not well written and badly executed. How can you feel sorry for someone that killed your dad like wth? TLOU2 is not even TLOU without Joel. What made THLOU good was Joel and the story. I want my money back

The mishandling of a character to put the spotlight on a forced agenda character or characters is a travesty and shame that we cant play as the character we really wanted to play with. The story pissed me off of the way a character was handled. The director just wanted a pat on the back from a small percentage of players. I like IGN Japan's review over the butt kissing IGN America review. The game isn't a masterpiece and i have no empathy for ABBY. Wanted to kill her at the beginning and the end.     Horrible game. Horrible horrible pacing with a forced political agenda in a non modern apocalyptic setting with plot armor to stop people from despising the disgrace this game did to the first game. The Last of Us 1 was the best game I've ever experienced, and the graphics aren't all that great now when I played it again. This makes a point that insane graphics aren't even important. Overall I really enjoyed the game, the gameplay is enhanced from the first game and that is what's important to me. The graphics look nice too but that matters a bit less. The main thing holding it back for me is the story and the pacing, I hated the second half of it when I took control of Abby while the gameplay is the same it broke the pace by having us start over in progression and we have to play as the villain all of a sudden. To say it was a jolt is an understatement. I spent a good chunk at the start just killing her anyway I could. Knowing what she did I could not forgive her because she is a hypocrite. Her revenge is justified but Ellie's isn't. About halfway through playing as her I started to ignore it but I still couldn't get over it. Another thing that bugs me is the tacked on epilogue, the game should have ended in Seattle but it kept going, with Santa Barbra once again breaking the pace, and that is the main issue for me overall. However, I did enjoy my time with it and since gameplay is the most important thing for me in a video game I believe my score is fair.… Expand

El juego si bien es bueno en cuanto a mecánicas, gráficos, etc; su historia no está a la altura, dandole excesiva pantalla a momentos que no tienen nada que ver con la experiencia The Last Of Us Part 2. Si bien es una historia que quizás para un spin off, o una historia que tuviera lugar en el mismo universo estaría bien, pero como continuidad de The Last Of Us 1 es horrible. Igual debo hacer una critica hacia el lesbianismo que expresa el juego, el cual sin duda no estoy en contra del movimiento perse, siento que no aporta mucho al juego y a la experiencia, siempre he dicho que estas cosas, la inclusión, las ideas, etc; deberían estar al servicio de la historia, no la historia estar al servicio de dichas cosas cosas, le dan demasiada pantalla al tema, viendose incluso que está al servicio de una agenda politica. Siento que el nivel de madurez de la entrega no creció con las personas que la jugaban en la primera parte, no porque tenga sexo, violencia, ni malas palabras significa que va a presentar una historia madura y ni tampoco una buena historia.
    Un ejemplo donde se hable de venganza de buena manera sería Red Dead Redemption 2, donde se aborda de manera realmente madura, sorprendiendo de una compañía que usualmente hace gala de pocos argumentos al crear una historia. En cambio Naughty Dog quien es el cual se espera que produzca una historia donde realmente nos parezca algo cercano, natural y familiar, crea The Last Of Us Part 2, la cual no te hace crear ningún vínculo personaje, jugador, el tiempo de desarrollo que tomo la última creación de Naughty Dog para mi fue algo alargado, siendo el producto final de tan mala calidad.

The character we've been waiting years to see died within the first 2 hours, and its like the game laughs at us. Abby was a completely annoying, obnoxious, sloppy, terrible character to play and go against. She kills off our favorite character, Dina (in whom was pregnant) she nearly gets killed, Jesse dies, and Tommy almost dies. The ending itself is in a whole different realm of disappointing, lame, and boring. Making everything seem like it was all for nothing. 2/10 DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!… Expand

    Es un juego muy duro hablando anímicamente, los grandes mapas llenos de lugares por explorar y la carencia de mini mapas o señaladores de zonas, hacen que tengamos que estar muy pendientes para no perdernos nada, dandole mas relevancia    los gráficos son excelentes, el doblaje a español es maravilloso y la historia es tan real como la vida misma, y estamos hablando de un juego de zombies.

    Es un juego muy duro hablando anímicamente, los grandes mapas llenos de lugares por explorar y la carencia de mini mapas o señaladores de zonas, hacen que tengamos que estar muy pendientes para no perdernos nada, dandole mas relevancia a el juego, la interfaz es muy similar a la que se vio en la precuela, sien embargo, en esta entrega podemos disfrutar de mas variedad de armas y objetos fabricables.

    En cuanto a la historia, continua con la aventura de Joel y Ellie después de terminado el anterior juego, sin embargo, en este caso los actos del anterior son consecuentes con los sucesos de este por lo que si eres de las personas que se casan con los personajes haciéndese a la idea de que son inmortales vas a odiarlo, este juego a diferencia diferencia de otras grandes entregas de la empresa como puede ser la saga de uncharted, no termina con un final feliz, este juego es mas real, hace entender que lo que nuestros personajes hacen o hicieron tiene consecuencias, es un golpe de realidad fuerte que puede herir susceptibilidades y aplastar los sentimientos de los mas delicados consumidores, es una gran estrategia en el mundo de los videojuegos que puede llevar a crear juegos con historias mas profundas y creíbles, un vuelco de paradigmas a todos los juegos en los que nuestros personajes arrasan con millones de npc`s sin pagar las consecuencias y un gran avance en cuestión de darle siempre al consumidor lo que quiere.

    It had a good point of view of new characters like Abby, But people don't like her too much and that's a problem. Some characters like Jesse doesn't seem to be important to Ellie, his history isn't too deep. Finally, the end is not good. Ellie seems to be the antagonist, after all she was blinded by her anger and she needed to kill Abby to show us her importance in the history. That was a big change for Ellie. Did i mention about Ellie's fingers during the combat?, If u dont care if the end matters or not, just see Game of Thrones chapter 8    … Expand

    Average... propped up by its predecessor. Gameplay clunky and repetitive. Story had good intentions but was way too long and lost its way about a third of the way through. Such a shame. Worth a play but wouldn't play again.

    Amazing game that is flawed especially with the overall story concept. Recommend playing but believe the first one is better. Also the current user score reflects review bombing not people's actual views. No way does this game deserve that rating.

    The game is great in all aspects. People that didn't like the game didn't understand how deep it is. It makes you question yourself constantly. It's not just about revenge, it's about what comes with it and what it may do to you. Masterpiece and game of the year for me.

    Joel acts so much out of character.
    He was always cautious and never trusted anyone new, understandably considering how Sarah died in part 1.
    He would never put himself in such a vulnerable state among people he just met.
    I understand why he had to go however I feel like it could have been done better without disrespecting the character.
    It feels shallow and a cheap way to get people to feel the need for vengeance.

    However, if there is justice in vengeance.
    Then such justice will only breed more vengeance.
    Thus triggering an eternal cycle of hatred.
    This is the flaw of every revenge plot.

    Ellie takes too long to feel the guilt of her actions to the point where it seems comical.
    Right after murdering countless people to get there.
    The game betrays the original characters to fit the narrative and introduces new ones that no one cares about.

    People played the first game for the relationship between Ellie and Joel and the search for light even in the darkest of worlds.
    Ellie and Joel were not heroes or the good guys, they were survivors.
    This game betrays all of that for a story of unearned vengeance against characters we don't care about , then the game tries to do a spin on perspective and asks us to buy into their drama.
    It's a narrative disaster which could have done way better with some proper order and storyline structure

The way you play as both Ellie and Abby really shows the complexity of human beings, and how far one will go for revenge. I think Dina should’ve stayed with Ellie but I don’t blame her since Ellie went off to find Abby again but ended up losing both Dina and two of her fingers it’s a bittersweet ending please play this game I’m sure you’ll love it I know I did, and the graphics are top notch honestly mind blowing so realistic, and baby JJ is the cutest baby I wish I could actually hold him in real life lol… Expand

    Me parece un juego muy bueno, el gameplay y los gráficos son excelentes y bien pulidos, de lo mejor de la ps4, la historia en mi opinion es buena, tiene algunas fallas pero te mantiene sumergido en esta, me dio distintas emociones durante el juego y eso casi no veía de un juego, obvio no es mejor que el 1 pero ami opinión es una buena secuela que responde varias incognitas del uno

    O jogo é um desastre e um total desrespeito com os fans que ficaram esperando essa BOMBA por 7 anos. Qual lado da balança pesa mais para um jogo single player, uma boa gameplay com gráficos absurdos, ou uma storyline(que na minha opinião é o que mais se espera de um jogo que você provavelmente vai jogar uma vez) de bosta, forçada, decepcionante, e lacradora?

    I didn't absolutely hate it but i didn't love it either .. i replayed the first one a month back to get my self as excited as possible so the gameplay for me was ok but there's really nothing new in it .. i think the story was a waste .. we spend the entire game seeking a mindless revenge we kill everyone except the one that really matters, i think that's stupid .. characters were meh ...I didn't absolutely hate it but i didn't love it either .. i replayed the first one a month back to get my self as excited as possible so the gameplay for me was ok but there's really nothing new in it .. i think the story was a waste .. we spend the entire game seeking a mindless revenge we kill everyone except the one that really matters, i think that's stupid .. characters were meh ... in general im really disappointed of of the direction they took ..     This is a solid game and please ignore the negative reviews. Too many people are reviewing with emotion and not on a fair basis. To say a game is excellent in parts but it has a poor story and give it a zero is nonsense. If you are new to the franchise you will love it. I played the first one and have no problems with it. An enjoyable game.

    Hola, se que nadie lo pidió ni pregunto jaja pero me gustaría dar mi opinión sobre the last of us 2. El juego a mi la verdad se me hizo precioso, es una historia muy completa y compleja, en donde vemos la personalidad de ellie desarrollarse de acuerdo a la edad y a los eventos ocurridos en the last of us 1. Muchos dicen que es exageradamente largo, pero tampoco es para que lo completen en dos días xd, pienso que nos quisieron dar una experiencia completa como ningún otro juego lo ha hecho. El gameplay, escenarios y demás son excelentes. (Aunque a veces pienso que algunas de las mejores partes como la pelea con el rey rata y la guerra civil en la isla de los scars, se las dieron a abby en vez de a ellie).
    Ahora bien, la historia de la venganza de ellie comienza con la muerte de Joel, un personaje muy querido con el que vivimos muchas tragedias en el primer juego. Cuando vi la escena la verdad si me saqué muchísimo de onda y la neta no sabía ni qué pensar, odiaba a abby y quería que todas las personas que participaron en la muerte de Joel murieran salvajemente jaja, y pienso que es lo que nos querían transmitir, odio y rencor y venganza. Cada que mataba o encontraba muerto a una de estas personas (Owen, Nora,etc), mi satisfacción aumentaba, y el hecho de que abby siguiera viva me causaba enojo.
    Posteriormente, cuando comencé a manejar a abby, la verdad si sentí muchísima rabia, porque no quería manejarla, yo quería seguir jugando con ellie, porque por ella compré el juego, no por abby, sin embargo la historia de abby me atrapó, y logré realmente meterme en la historia del personaje.
    Cabe mencionar que el hecho de que me hicieran agarrarme a golpes con ellie en el teatro me asqueó, yo me dejaba morir y matar repetidamente por ellie porque yo quería que fuese así, pero al final cedí a lo que los creadores del juego querían que hiciera y me chingue a la ellie.
    El final a mi me pareció adecuado, ya contextualizado sobre la vida de abby, te das cuenta que abby solo mató a Joel (y posteriormente a Jessy) , y ellie y tommy mataron a todos sus amigos de abby , sin incluir a todos los que mató Joel en el hospital de las luciérnagas. Ellie comprendió esto, comprendió que debe perdonar, debe avanzar, y que el objetivo de su venganza era justificar que no perdonó a Joel por haberle mentido sobre las luciérnagas, que se sentía culpable.
    Y bueno, a mi parecer se me hizo adecuado la inclusión lgbt en todo momento, machitos que insultan a la comunidad lgbt hay y existirán por un largo tiempo,lamentablemente (y más en la comunidad gamer), y es lo que nos plasman al principio del juego. Ustedes dirán “muy forzada la inclusión”, pero es la vida de un homosexual día a día, nunca falta el bato o incluso hasta aveces la morra que insulta a una persona lgbt porque “no es normal”, “ellie debería tener novio” solo para satisfacer su felicidad.

    Overall:
    I have played many story driven games LOU1, metal gear games, Horizon, Gears of war, everything you can think of since gaming began (I'm getting on in age). This is one of, if not the best game I've played. It was so varied in the different locations and things that happen. The combat mechanics are just amazing, and just the right amount of improvements to the first game. Story is massively rewarding and has your emotions switching left and right, and it left me wanting more once the game had ended. So much so I started again straight away which I've never done before. I can't sing its praises enough. Much better than the first Last of Us game.

    Story: The story is up there with even the best movies / tv shows. Can it win an oscar? Is it possible because it should. There is a shift of perspectives that will have your emotions and allegiances running wild not to mention the fear and pressure you feel of different situations you will encounter. The story is not predictable at all and keeps going even when you think its about to end.

    Bad reviews:
    Ignore the massive raft of bad reviews from people who are completely butt hurt that Joel dies and you can't be him anymore.

    They talk about ellie's bad decisions - she is driven by grief, anger and revenge so would not be making logical decisions but ones driven by pain. It's a compelling and rewarding story arc filled with redemption.

    Abbie is unlikeable - complete rubbish, your opinion will shift and she's a god damn bad ass. You will grow to love her and realise she was driven by the same grief and desire for revenge as ellie.

    But Joel died - yes I was upset too, but his story had ended. He had a daughter again who he had saved. Stop being whiny and butt hurt!

    The story is a mess - rubbish! I've never seen story telling like it. It's perfect. I'll admit, it can be a little slow in bits but the reward of the end of the game is perfect - just fantastic. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++    … Expand

    At first when I completed this game, I did not know how to feel about it. But after a couple of days of thinking about the events of this game it is actually brilliant. The more I think about this game the more I love it.

It did well in keeping with the first game’s ending and giving it a twisted continuation. It made it feel like Joel’s decision was bad and actually made you think if it was right or not. I feel as if every decision made by characters seemed reasonable because it actually did add up in the end. I feel as if it was a little shaky, which is why I can see all the hate towards it. But overall I believe it was a good game. Maybe the journey isn’t over yet. I would honestly like to know where Naughty Dog takes this. But I guess for now we wait.… Expand

    Beautiful game. Amazing job from naught dog. I love the sound design and the mocap is top notch. My favorite part was honestly just walking. The game has such an intense atmosphere, I forgot I was playing a game.

    Undoubtedly one of the best games of this generation alongside cyberpunk 2077 even if it isn’t out yet. But seriously Sony killing it with them exclusives. I gotta say the weapons and the combat are my absolute favorite. It’s just so realistic. However the story isn’t what I’d describe as rainbows. Definitely engaging but super sad.

    Compelling and brutal, you really do need to play it rather than watch it to get the tension and dread. You end up having to do things through the plot that can be really uncomfortable while the characters single minded pursue their revenge.

    This game is amazing, definitely one of the top 2 games I’ve played, the last of us part one being the other. The graphics and gameplay are the best I’ve ever experienced in any game, the story is so compelling, I don’t think there was an emotion I didn’t feel while playing this. Definitely a 10/10. Really hope they continue the story!

    In my opinion, the story was great, however certain decisions of characters as well as storytelling was questionable at some points. It could have been better, but it definitely wasn't bad. I absolutely love character development and interactions in the game. The game is full of emotions and you will feel them too. It's really strange, because I have never felt such a wide range of emotions while playing a game. I felt anger, sadness, pity, nostalgia and very rarely even joy. Very rarely. That's the difference between the first game and the sequel. TLOU part 2 is a very tough game to swallow and when I finished it, I actually felt quite depressed (not because it was bad :) but quite the opposite).

    The graphics are great, really love that post-apocalyptic style and TLOU captures that perfectly, although some areas look graphically a bit worse than other areas, it's not a big deal. When it comes to gameplay, I think the sequel is better in every way. I also loved the sound effects and soundtrack, but I feel like the original TLOU had more memorable soundtrack. During my playthrough I encountered a few bugs, nothing game-braking though. I enjoyed the otion of 'crafting' your own difficulty, as the game allows you to change difficulty in 5 different areas of gameplay. I found enemy combat to be one of the best, ever. The combat is dynamic and fluid, but also allows you to use different tactics. I especially enjoyed certain enemy types, such as dogs or the enemy group known as Scars, who can surround you and ambush you. Sometimes however, I should have definitely been seen by the enemy AI (the same applies for allies). What I personally didn't like was pacing. Sometimes it felt like stuff were a bit repetitive or the story did not advance much, other times there was one big thing after another.

    To sum it all up, I think the game is great, the first game was a masterpiece and part 2 definitely has something to it, that makes the game memorable. It is brutal and emotional. And even though you might not like the story, you can't deny the game's many qualities.    … Expand

Again this game is mind blowing. I just think the critic on this game is unfair. Firstly some based it of the trailer and rumors, without even playing the game first, I was expecting for you to play the game first and say something about it. Well I can tell you as I have finished the game it is a masterpiece, everything is the opposite of what they are saying, it's scarier and in fact more emotional than the first game and a lot darker. And just because you didn't like how the story would go as you expect it to be, it does not mean it is bad. I am upset that Joel died (spoiler alert) but his story was pretty much told in the first game. It would have been repetitive if he was to stay longer but it's still would have been interesting how his character would have progressed. The story did went unexpectedly but I believe it was done on purpose, to basically capture the gamers emotions and give the trilogy a new meaning and direction when Last of Part 3 comes out. If your still upset because of rumors, trailers or because the game went on a different direction, then tough sucks to be you. In fact why don't you apply to Naughty dog, and tell the story you want to be told? In the end the game was still able to tell the story the way they want it to be told and they conveyed it perfectly. In fact I love how it was done unexpectedly, it was shocking in a good way.
