    Wonderful game. Graphics, sound and setting of the best of the generation. The gameplay has enough changes to blow your head off, super entertaining. The only one but of the game the story, well narrated but very disorganized in its events, badly skilled the death of one of its characters if it had occurred in the middle of the game and with more credibility would have helped the title toWonderful game. Tbh I think that everyone is mad about Joel's death, personally I think it's brilliant because while you start playing with ellie you just want to kill Abby but when you start playing like abby you realize that Abbys feelings towards Joel are not that different. And you find out that maybe if you were willing to kill someone who killed a dear one then they can think the same way. It's really a good game… Expand

    This game is an absolute masterpiece. I never experienced so much different feelings in one. It was a horrible, sad and beautiful Story, I can't understand the negative comments. This game was not made to make you happy or comfortable! And those who criticise the Gay/Trans part: Grow the f*** up!

    A technical marvel, simply gorgeous. I enjoyed the story, could've been a bit shorter. Didn't change the mechanics of the first game too much, a little more would've been better.

    It had a good point of view of new characters like Abby, But people don't like her too much and that's a problem. Some characters like Jesse doesn't seem to be important to Ellie, his history isn't too deep. Finally, the end is not good. Ellie seems to be the antagonist, after all she was blinded by her anger and she needed to kill Abby to show us her importance in the history. That was a big change for Ellie. Did i mention about Ellie's fingers during the combat?, If u dont care if the end matters or not, just see Game of Thrones chapter 8    … Expand

The graphics was the best graphics I’ve ever seen on ps4 and maybe the best on pc as well, I loved the first game so much so I became a bit biased to the second one, Overall good game… Expand

    I can't imagine what an absolute loser you have to be to review bomb a game without having ever played it and claiming "the story is bad" because you read some leaks. These people don't deserve rights and are incapable of complex thought.

    That being said, I actually did play and complete the game. The gameplay is exciting and beefed up a lot mechanically compared to the first game. Constant tension and stress running from alive and undead foes alike makes the brief quiet moments seem like oases. The story challenges the player to feel empathy, and the people saying naughty dog "doesn't care about the players" because of certain events in the story lack that quality.

    For the people dismissing the game as "SJW trash," you're on a whole new level of vile. The extent of the "SJW pandering" is a lesbian relationship and a transgender character, who is arguably the most likeable and relatable character in the game. These characters don't seem like tokens, they seem like real people, which is refreshing.

    TL;DR go buy this game if you own a PS4, period. If you didn't play the first one, play that first.    … Expand

    Emotional Rollercoaster is what i would describe this game. This game is intended for us to feel the negative feelings of hatred, anger, guilt and many more complex feelings. This game make you feel things that not many games could.
    However, not everyone will enjoy this game because this game is very dark. It is dark and very realistic in how they depict the world. Yes, this game is unpredictable, hence many people may not enjoy this. The story have many depths, that not a casual gamer can just sit around and understand without thinking too much.
    I got to admit, at the first act, I was giving a 6, then as it goes to 10. However, at the 2nd act, it drops back to 6, then it increase to 8 and 10 again. In the 3rd act, it drops back to 6 again due to character motivation that I disagree with. When the final climax happened, for the first time, I do not feel like touching my controller to do as the game tells me too. AND THAT is IMPACTFUL. The way the game make me feel the struggle in controlling the character in the final climax...felt so real. The last scene of the game also gave me the understanding I need on the character motivation that i disagree with earlier on. This is why this game is a masterpiece in gaming in the way it tells the dark story about hatred, guilt, consequences. It felt real.

    As much as it is a masterpiece, I am giving this game a 9. Not a 10 because I felt, some parts in the game felt a little to long and drags for quite some time. However, in dragging those parts, It successfully build a world which I really feel I am in, and most of all, it really felt like an adventure.    … Expand

    I loves this game. I loved the first game. Some people may not like the choices this game made, but it is important to remember that this is the story Naughty Dog wanted to tell. Just becuase what you may or may not have wanted to happen occured, does't make this a bad game. Go into this game open minded, and consider the type of person each character is.

    I dont agree with the many reviews that says this game has little to no story. That sounds to me like they werent paying attention or didnt play the game at all. - or had other agendas with their review.
    It took me around 27 hours to complete, and it was an emotionel rollercoster, forcing me to do stuff I didnt want to do, but also had some of    I loved almost every moment of this game!

    I would have loved some more open world areas, and Im dissapointed that there was a map introduced, but you only used it for such a small section of the game.

    Graphics, animations, acting and everything was just amazing.

    The game is great in all aspects. People that didn't like the game didn't understand how deep it is. It makes you question yourself constantly. It's not just about revenge, it's about what comes with it and what it may do to you. Masterpiece and game of the year for me.

    A good plot (think of the characters not as simple heroes-villains, but as individuals), memorable characters, but not so many changes in the gameplay compared to the previous part.
    If you are burning from the ending, then congratulations, you are too small or stupid to understand the picture as a whole)

    To be brutally honest it was one of the worst stories i have experienced in gaming, the way they treat characters from the first game is disrespectful and brutal, the pacing is completely off and it feels like they are genuinely trying to make you either angry or sad all the way throughout the game, there is so much more i could say but that would involve spoiling the plot, the story is such a big factor in this franchise that no matter how good the gameplay and graphics are i cannot give this game a good score because i felt nothing but anger, disappointment, sadness and a feeling of emptiness at times.

    The ending of this story also made the whole journey feel pointless and also left me feeling very unsatisfied, to me this game could have been one of the best of the generation, it feels like the design team pulled out their A game but the story team wanted to go a route which would divide players for the sake of being different but not only was this route definitely not one they should have taken but it was also implemented very poorly indeed.

    I waited a long time for this game and feel nothing but anger and disappointment from the game's story even though the combat was enjoyable and the graphics were nice to look at.... despite these two good points of the game i still couldn't fully appreciate them because of the story of the game.

    I will also say it was nice to see naughty dog implement little hints of positivity towards the lgbtq community and also the inclusion of a trans character, i know some people believe this was forced a bit but i see it as a positive part of the game, it's just a shame that of all the games to do this it was one which ultimately released as a big disappointment to me and many others. i just wished this game could have had a story even half as good as the first one, then it would have been something special.    … Expand

    The game is great! Graphics amazing, gamplay is intuitive and inline with previous one. Please dont listen to the haters who rated the game. Characters changed, and it was expected, since many years had passed and who is the same who you were before 20 years old? The story is good and you will continue to enjoy the game as much as the previous, so go for it if you already like last of us 1.

Ich kann die Kritik von den den anderen Usern gut verstehen, weil nach so langer Zeit habe auch ich mehr erwartet besonders am Ende des Spiels. Das Spiel hat eine echt schöne Grafik mit geilem Gameplay welches mir persönlich extrem viel Spaß gemacht hat. Die Story war irgendwie packend besonders der Anfang und dann scheißt es rein. Besonders Abby zu spielen hat mich so Getriggert ich hätte 100 mal lieber mit Ellie weiter gemacht, das hat mir nicht so gefallen aber da muss man halt durch. Sie haben einfach viel zu viel Hype um die Story gemacht aber das Gameplay die Animations damit haben Sie zurecht geworben das sieht einfach son Nice aus wenn man jemanden Sneak Killt die Gesichter sehen einfach nice aus mit den Emotionen. Natürlich waren wieder die Jumpscares hinter den schmalen durchgängen dabei, und auch andere aber die waren eigentlich Gut außer das die mit den Schmalen durchgängen relativ oft passierten. So jetzt widme ich mich der Story nachdem ich da oben einfach ohne System los geschrieben hab. Die Story hat echt viele Plot holes gemacht dat werdet ihr auch in anderen Reviews lesen sogar sehr oft. Diesmal war es nicht deine Mission Ellie zum Krankenhaus zu bringen sondern Joel´s Mörder umzubringen. Dabei erkundet man Zahlreiche Gegenden mit Zombies oder Menschlichen Feinden die man auf eigene Art bewältigen kann. Rein in die Olga oder einfach alle Stealth Killn oder komplett ohne Kampf durchsneaken(ist nicht immer möglich glaube ich) die Story Endet echt mies aber auch irgendwie Verständlich muss ich sagen. Mir persönlich hat das Game übelst Spaß gemacht und war kein Fehlkauf, ich weiß die anderen Leute sind Save nicht meiner Meinung aber is ja meine. Das Spiel bekommt von mir 10/10 wenn die noch einen Multiplayer rausbringen da hätte ich übelst bock drauf am besten ein PVE und ein PVP aber beim PVP auch zombies auf den Maps das würde warscheinlich auch die anderen das Spiel dann besser bewerten lassen.

    So danke das ihr mein unnützes Review gelesen habt (hab einfach mehr Geschrieben als ich je gefühlt in einer Klassenarbeit früher geschrieben hab)    … Expand

    okay so you introduce a new character she kills joel then you play with her for like 10 hours (more than ellie i guess) you play with a character you hate !! this will make you hate the game even when the game tries to make you love abby you simply cant

    For the love of god, don't pay heed to any reviews where it's clear the person hasn't actually finished, let alone even played the game. This is a tricky one to analyze. I don't need to go into spoilers because it's a moot point. TLOU 1 is one of my all time favorites which goes without saying I care very much about the characters (i.e. Joel & Ellie). What completely blows my mind is the fact that the review bombers are so soft that they can't handle a main character getting killed off. I suspect that as more people actually finish the game and experience Abby's story arc, the user score will raise (not dramatically, but a little bit). The story is not black and white. It's complicated, morally ambiguous, and the payoff is incredible. There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said about the graphics, gameplay, writing, etc. TLOU 2 is a huge strive forward for single player narrative driven games. It requires patience, thought, and an open mind. What's most confusing is the review bombing. One would think that if people actually cared about TLOU, its characters, its lore, and the world of TLOU, they would have the decency to finish the game before spewing vitriol across the internet. Do I think everyone should agree that the game is a 10/10? Certainly not. If you finished it and still think it's terrible, I completely respect your opinion.     A fascinating and distressing story about hate and revenge. Follow Ellie's journey and return once more to the world in ruins from The last of Us. Clearly the best graphics of the generation. Addictive gameplay and a roller coaster of feelings. This game is mandatory for any adult who owns a PS4 device.

    Brilliant. Ignore the haters and persevere. Nuanced performances, great story, visually brilliant and a proper triple AAA experience. Emotional rollercoaster that really makes you think about all the characters. Also much longer than expected and looking forward to goung back through with newgame+

    The game itself has its flaws and moments where i’m like what just happened, but it’s a masterpiece of a game and naughty dog showed just that. It is a dark story with moments we don’t like the story shows, but it is still a great piece of work what naughty dog shows us.

    After playing through the game, and watching a full playthrough, discussing it with peers, I’ve come to the conclusion the story was not thought out. The gameplay is awesome. Seriously, the realistic blood splatter, the incredibly detailed gore, body deconstruction, and environmental destruction all show that good money was spent on the gameplay. But honestly, who plays The Last Of Us(TLOU) for the gameplay? I don’t pick up Doom Eternal or Mortal Combat thinking “Man I can’t wait to be enthralled in a gripping story!” the same way I don’t pick up The Wolf Among Us for the gameplay. The story was patchwork at best, a completely unpleasant game with terrible pacing at worst. It seems like Abby’s story was added in as an afterthought, and the order of events shows that. The developer clearly wants us to empathize with this character they plucked out of a Gears of War game (the MoCap body is literally a woman openly using steroids). Her physique aside - which admittedly breaks immersion for some reason – I HATED her for mercilessly beating one of the industries most loved characters right in front of Ellie who you still probably care about from the first game 7 years ago. How can you expect us to empathize with someone when you’ve started their interaction with the player from such a low? The order should have been, introduce Abby, and trick the player into thinking TLOU isn’t about Joel and Ellie anymore. Then maybe I would have liked any of her gang of poorly written friends. Seriously, they have the Spanish guy the dumbest lines ranging from “I just want to drink and watch Anime” to eluding to lewd acts with every woman on their base. That said, Owen and Mel were exceptions as at least they called Abby out on her nonsense for being a garbage person, but I suspect this was just me needed SOME catharsis and wanted to see someone get back at her. Half-baked character’s aside, then after you convince us to like Abby after showing her saving Lev(Lily?) or her flashback with her dad or SOMETHING likable, not a sex scene for cheap shock value, then surprise us with Joel’s murder.

    I will never forget the moment in the first game when Henry shot himself, or when Ellie as a child defeated a dangerous cannibal group ON HER OWN and had an emotional breakdown as Joel comforted her, or the last scene in the game where she makes Joel swear to her that what he said is true and the WAVE of emotions evoked from the game-ending right thereafter she hears his lie. I can’t even remember the Spanish guy’s name, or the transgender kid’s twin sister’s name, why Demi? Deana? likes Ellie other than she is ALSO into girls. TLDR: The story in this game was mediocre, poorly structured, too fast-paced, and clearly rewritten too many times with late revisions to form any semblance of an emotional connection that the first game had.    … Expand

    Story definitely weaker than the first, all over the place second half. Other than that, flawless. Fantastic to play, enjoyed it a lot, despite it's flaws I always wanted to push on to see the end. Can highly recommend.

    Crude story about the path to forgiveness. May not be a story for everyone, but that is no reason to hate. I personally liked the story, end up wanting the villain to succeed at some point.

    Great game. If you loved the first game, and hate this game, you should really take a look and think why. The main reasons many are upset, is the game doesn't go how they want, and you play women who do not quite match society norms. People who have reviewed the game who did not even play it through, especially those who did not play it at all have been unfair to it, and their reviews should be removed.

    Maybe you just didn't like it for valid reasons, but that's the minority from what I've seen.

    If you played it all and did not like it, you are entitled to your opinion, but those who have, and loved the first game, should consider that they may be taking a suck because people die instead of always magically surviving in a horrible harsh world, or just intolerant, sexist, and/or a keyboard warrior. The little details in this game make it great. They took some big risks in having you play a character who is a somewhat masculine woman. Good on Naughty Dog for challenging society norms. Things like armpit stubble on one of the female characters (who would actually be shaving regularly in this world?). One argument people use is "the game is too violent". Again, that is valid if you didn't play or like the first one. If you did, that's a horrible argument, it's very similar to the first game, where Joel murders tons of people, including innocent firefly's and essentially dooms the world for one girl. He just committed a planet to doom! I loved Joel but that is about the worst crime you could commit! The revenge against him was valid, but the cycle continued until both Abby and Ellie ended it. I will admit, there are times I did not like playing Abby. She is my enemy of course ! But you play on knowing there is a reason.

    Just finished the game last night, and it was good, satisfying, and makes you think, just like the first game. Leaves the door open for more. Hope they do a part 3 once the keyboard warriors simmer down. They could wrap it up with a mission to find someone who could carry on the firefly work and make a cure, perhaps work it in that Abby's survival leads to finding this person, and cure due to Ellie's act of mercy (returning the favor from Abby).

    I gave the first game 10/10, I give this one 9/10. I did miss Joel too, but as the game goes on, you realize he deserved what he got. If you put yourself in Abby's shoes, Ellie would have done the same thing as her!

The trailers were false advertising, and i feel like a wreck after finishing the game...     The game shows a fully constructed universe after the first game. It’s like a great movie with 30 hours filled by so many emotions. It’s nice to see how Ellie and her hatred can change the course of this history, but still make this game so interesting, beautiful and poetic. Such a masterpiece.

    Waited 7 years for this game and ultimately it disappointed. Uninteresting characters, established characters that act completely different when they shouldn’t be. The gameplay of the game undermines the message it tries to convey, making the whole thing pointless. The “twist” doesn’t work because they completely failed at making you care about a certain character. Everything disappointed.

    Finished it. It's a game unlike any that I've played, and that's not always a good thing, though here, I believe it is. It makes you feel things rarely what game has the courage to even mention. I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but I genuinely liked it.

    Technically superior to every ps4 game, but I don't like the plot, characters behavior and what they did to protagonists of tlou1. Also I found cheap the way the game is trying to shock us and make us feel certain emotions, just like in poor tv series. If it was tv series, I would cancel it after the pilot episode, no matter how good are the sights.

    After almost 30 hours of gameplay, ellie loses almost everything her friends, and finally has settled down. She ditches her family (Dina and her kid), to go kill Abby for one final showdown, and after losing 2 fingers and finally getting her moment she had awaited she lets her go. It left me enraged and with an empty feeling.
    Killing hundreds of people, dogs, a pregnant women, and brutally dismembering Nora, suddenly she has an epiphany, that killing is bad!!? It's just poor writing.

    Being forced to play with Abby was the worst part of the game, playing with a character that kills one of the most beloved characters. just shows how badly the writers took joel for granted. JOEL DESERVED BETTER

    This game has ruined the franchise for me.

    The brilliant gameplay has been overshadowed by the pathetic story line.

Graohics, sound, animation, gameplay, responsiveness, all feel amazing. And works wounderfully! Even reflections in mirrors and water were kinda tripping me out So story...it is passable, the motivations behind characters actions make sense within the context of this post apocalyptic world. Even if certian things characters did that i did like, aka Abby killing joel, having played Abbys side it makes total sense she'd want to kill joel. The ending. Well i didnt hate it. I certianly didnt like it, but i dont think it was bad. I just didnt like how it ended but yet again it made sense for the world and story. Overall though there are a few things that just seemed a bit kinda shoehorned in, or that its inclusion didnt make enough sense. And abbys section felt the most guilty of this. Biggest question, why did she suddenly have such a massive change of heart just because they saved her? A change of heart, sure. But it seemed way to overblown and drastic and felt a bit too forced. They could have done a better job making it seem a bit more believeable. Then again it took place over like a day and a half so eh. By the end part of the game i can understand their closeness by that point of course. Just happened to drastically at the start imo

    Fun, passable, mostly enjoyable story. Kinda drags in some areas, but overall it isnt as memorable as the first one. But i did enjoy this one thoroughly. Ill for sure be replaying it to platinum, but not sure if id play a 3rd time. Though if complete enhanced for ps5, yeah id play it again. I gave it a 8 because it is a pretty good game. Isolated from everything external to the game, its very good as a game. It is a bit rough around the edges. But i honestly can see other peoples criticism of the game, and i can understand why they felt that way. But for me i did enjoy this. But I decided to push through, and the deeper I got into the game, the better it started to become. And this is honestly the only approach the game could of took with Ellie’s story for it to truly be something special. For me this game was amazing, I know it’s like a bandwagon to hate on it because of killing Joel and the supposed “crappy writing.” Yes there could have been more expansion of narrative on some parts to flesh out the story more but overall the story and gameplay where amazing. This game is not a story of happiness, it’s a game that shows you the consequences your actions have, to many people don’t care what they do in video games it’s just complete the objective no matter the cost and move forward, that was the entirety of the first game as Joel, kill everybody in your way to get Ellie to the fireflies and then kill all the fireflies to save Ellie, those actions have repercussions and that’s what we deal with in part 2. Naughty Dog wanted to show the players that even though you play as a character and love them, that in your eyes they are the hero and are amazing, their actions are not heroic, their actions are not without consequences. That’s why I actually grew to like the dual narrative of Abby, it’s not a section to make you like her and her group, it’s a section to make you see the lives you are ending, the dogs you may be killing in the game, it’s to show you the weight of what Tommy and Ellie are doing by killing all those people, and yes the WLF aren’t saints either but they are humans with their own lives, ones that go to the gym or some may have children in school. This game wants to open your eyes to the other side of your actions, where as you may see them as validated, the people on the other side may see you as a monster. For this reason I see the ending as needed, it was not Ellie’s right to kill Abby, if she had killed Abby then the game would have been for nothing, nothing would have been learned and then it would have created a truly bad game, but in her not killing Abby it shows that Ellie has grown and that she knows what she does can have consequences, that if she kills Abby then later Lev could take revenge and later down the line kill her and cause another wave of violence. The game is meant to end the cycle of violence created by Joel in the first, it’s meant to show for new beginnings and for a hope on the future. For that I continue to love Naughty Dog and their ambition to create such raw and emotional games, ones that make you think on a deeper narrative, not just kill until you get to the next location and kill again until you finish the game. I applaud them for taking such a huge risk and succeeding with it, and I can’t wait for any of their future projects.… Expand

    Хорошая игра. Да тут есть повестка , но блин ( мне на нее плевать , я пришел играть в игру , а не обращать внимание , на такие вещи. ( Игра даёт главное , удовольствие и эмоции!!

    Я, конечно, понимаю людей, которым не нравится агрессивное навязывание ЛГБТ и ТОЛЕРАНТНОСТИ. Но даже не взирая на то, что этого позыва в избытке в игре - я все равно считаю эту игру ВЕЛИКОЛЕПНОЙ. Начиная от графики и заканчивая сюжетом. Я буду идиотом если не отмечу, что сюжет можно было и получше написать. А так же отсутствует альтернатива тому самому тандему, который мы видели будучи вЯ, конечно, понимаю людей, которым не нравится агрессивное навязывание ЛГБТ и ТОЛЕРАНТНОСТИ.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
