    What sets this game apart from so many others is the masterful story telling. It makes you care about the characters and their struggles in a way that very few other games manage to do.     What sets this game apart from so many others is the masterful story telling. It makes you care about the characters and their struggles in a way that very few other games manage to do. A big part of this is the phenomenal voice acting, but it's not just the voice acting. It's the incredible use of facial animation and well written dialogue. The characters are amazing at conveying emotion more so than any other game I've ever played. This one aspect makes this game special and a real standout for the way it pulls you into the story and makes you care about the characters and actually feel some of their emotions. The musical score in the background is top notch and works excellently to set the mood from moment to moment, changing to match the pace of the scene.

    The graphics are some of the best of the PS4. Everything looks beautiful. The attention to detail is stunning. There are so many little things that just add to the overall experience. The water looks amazing. The way rain streaks down windows and water flows over ledges. The way the tall grass sways, looks better than other games. The lighting effects and just the overall artistry in the game is impressive and adds to the immersion. I found myself often pausing just to look around the environment and take in the visuals and appreciate the details that went into this.

    The game is fun to play too. The control mechanics are not new or particularly innovative but they are refined and effective. This is primarily a stealth action game and in that capacity it functions very well. The shooting feels good and impactful. The melee is brutal and satisfying. The stealth works perfectly and the AI does a good job of providing a challenge. There are a few great scripted action sequences and amazing set piece moments that keep the gameplay interesting and prevent it from becoming repetitive. The set piece's really add a lot to the overall experience as well and that combined with the incredible story telling, voice acting, musical score and over all atmosphere of the game make this one of the best single player experiences in all of gaming.

    This is a AAA experience all the way. The story telling, voice acting, atmosphere, musical score and gameplay come together to create an immersive cinematic powerhouse of a game. Do not let mixed reviews dissuade you from playing this.    … Expand

    This game has broken my heart. I played a lot of games, but never, never I’ve been so deep in reflection on heroes stories.

    I can say that for sure, that guys from naughty dogs, made me to ask myself a lot of questions about heroes decisions. It’s like the iconic movie or book leave me alone with the cruel reality, where against my better judgement forgiveness is hard to come.

    Me parece un juego más que exelento en todos los sentidos, gráficos, jugabilidad, historia, narrativa, evolución de personajes,etc. Únicamente hay unas cuantas decisiones en el juego que están mal implementadas y que hubieran ayudado mucho si se hubieran llevado de acabo de otra manera menos forzada.     This game is so mental close for players and very interesting. Neil Druckmann's plot is one of the most heartfull in this year. In the end a lot of tears was felt down on my carpet.

    I had an incredible experience with this game. Characters are complex and strongly built. The story is unbelievable and emotional. Technically this game is almost perfect and the soundtrack is a masterpiece.

    У игры великолепный сюжет. На счёт графики можно просто промолчать, она идеальна, только в углу карты один из кирпичей был с плохими текстурами. Не пожалел, что взял.

The way that naughty dog showed us the two sides of the history was a magnificent thing, i loved it. I'm still sad for the Joel's death, but i understand the Abby's reason.

    Phenomenal. Top-drawer animation and storytelling. The intense difficulty spikes and incessant dreariness didn't take anything away for me when I look at it as a whole. If it's not your thing, I can appreciate that but for me it's the greatest series of all time.

    That is by far the best video game I’ve ever played in my life. What Naughty Dog accomplished in this game using the resources/technology of a console released in 2013 is really impressive and a must follow for all the other game studios. It’s a must play game for sure.

    This is a game like no other. I recommend playing it, instead of listening to the loud minority of people that want to see politics or something else in it. There are no politics or agendas, just people.

    Simplesmente impecável. um dos melhores (se não o melhor) jogo da geração ps4. gráficos absurdos de insanos, animações de cair o cu da bunda, áudio que te dá uma imersão do caralho, e uma história... uma história que não pode ser comparada com nenhuma outra, tem que pelo menos ter um pouco de maturidade para poder compreender o que a história passa. um jogo impecável.

    The graphics alone are top notch, best graphics of this generation of consoles for sure. Gameplay gets a couple great additions from the previous game that really keep it fresh al throughout, and all NPCs (be them humans or infected) show great improvement and new variety.

    Now, the main deal, the story: I genuinely loved it. It's complex, It's jarring, it's devastating at times, but it absolutely achieves what it set out to do. This story takes you to the deepest and darkest places possibles from the point of view of Ellie, in a spiraling cycle of hate, intensified by the flashbacks that either show you what Ellie lost, or show you how her relationship with Joel turned into as years went by. And then, just when it seems she can live with letting the source of her rage live, the game gives you a 180 and makes you "walk a mile in her shoes" (as perfectly summed up in Girlfriend Reviews analysis of this masterpiece).

    Before delving into this game you must understand, in the first game, Joel was never a good guy, he was a terrible guy who found a shed of hope when he met Ellie, someone who could send him back to caring for others and to live (rather than just "survive"). Yeah, we get tremendously attatched to him, we're supposed to. That's what makes this sequel the more shocking and emotionally charged.

    Overall, it was hands down the best experience I had on the PS4, and for all of the praise I may give it, I still understand the people who didn't like Joel's death, but I truly believe that if you give this story a chance, if you buy in what it's trying to make you feel, you may find a rollercoast of emotions that you'll be glad you got on.    … Expand

    A sequel that expands and improves on everything the first one attempted. The story is engaging hard hitting memorable and enjoyable for every second, the world is darker and scarier. The characters are deep great likeable and hateable at the same time and the gameplay is more satisfying and fun while servicing the story perfectly. Props to Naughtydog for this incredible game!

    I honestly would have given this game a 9 but 5.7 (for now) is it really too low.
    A story-driven game with an amazing plot, AI, and gameplay. But I have to say that I didn't really like the wannabe open-world / loot searching; I find interrupting in a lot of scenes where you have to run from or to something and you have to stop by any house because you are low with ammo when you kill    I honestly would have given this game a 9 but 5.7 (for now) is it really too low.

    A convoluted story might be off putting for some players but is a matter of personal preference and can’t be rated numerically. The fluid mechanic/ gameplay, amazing graphics, and overall quality of production more than make up for a story that some players expected to do the impossible, please Everybody.

    Best game ever. Usualy the games reward you with an end fulled by euphoric feeling of winning. Though, TLOU2 presents a plotwist that makes me feels like even finishing It, the hollownes remains not only in the main character, but this time also inside me. Anyway, It was like a drama movie, but deeper. A complete new experience never before in a game. At last, not at an AAA game. I Love It.

You also get to see the slower side of her life, where she sits down and reflects, where she plays the most beautiful acoustic cover of Take on Me on the guitar, and how she sits on a balcony and stares out into the sunset. This starts out with Ellie’s journey, but it is also her (and everyone else involved) masterpiece, and it is one of the most beautiful, aggravating, heart wrenching, entertaining, fun, and riveting stories I have ever played (and enjoyed). It may not be perfect for all types of gamers, especially those who might get irritated during sections where the combat will result in Ellie’s death; but it is perfect, beautiful, engrossing and gorgeous in every other way! Although a new decade has only just begun, The Last of Us Part II is already at the top of “absolute must play titles” for the decade ahead.… Expand

    Game of the Year and she deserved it. She gets hated a lot because of LGBTQ, feminism and Joel's death. I do not consider User Score deserved, the game is wonderful with a plot, gameplay, physics, music, soundtrack, characters. In short, the game of the year, that's all. Yet the game deserves more than 5.7.

No meu ps4 fat roda tão liso, bonito, estável... que parece que estou jogando em um ps4 Pro. O romance não tem intenção de "lacrar", como era meu medo. Tudo acontece bem naturalmente. O jogo meche com sua cabeça, fazendo vc questionar os próprios atos, e isso éNão vejo como alguém que realmente jogou, achar ruim. O jogo da aulas em não apenas um ou outro aspectos, mas sim todos.     Um es in Keanu Reeves Worten zu sagen „breathtaking“. Unglaubliche Story und dann noch 30 Stunden spiel Zeit wo findet man so etwas noch. Bestes Spiel des Jahres verdient, bestes Spiel der Dekade incoming.

    No spoilers, I 100% most of my games to see how good or bad they are and TLOU2 is no different as well, with over 60 hours in I can confidently give an honest review on the game. This game is so well curated on multiple fronts like the soundtrack that hits all the right notes in a dark and bleak setting with acoustics that depict revenge... or maybe the combat music that is low beat andNo spoilers, I 100% most of my games to see how good or bad they are and TLOU2 is no different as well, with over 60 hours in I can confidently give an honest review on the game. This game is so well curated on multiple fronts like the soundtrack that hits all the right notes in a dark and bleak setting with acoustics that depict revenge... or maybe the combat music that is low beat and builds up tension with each close shave of death and brutal deaths. The game-play has moments of peace and quiet from the action and the sound of guns, instead we hear and see great performances that portray stories and losses that many of these characters face in a world of hurt, but the moments of action are a huge departure from previous ND games but it doesn't disappoint either, with a new dodge mechanic that makes the violent melee combat that much more thrilling. Weapons, equipment, movement and aiming also feels grounded, you don't feel like a treasure hunter in an epic movie, instead you feel like you're in a very high stakes TV series that doesn't shy away from dark, grotesque and brutal combat. The level design and environments are as always top notch so are the visuals, from ND games... no complaints here.

    But the story as much as I loved it, is the most talked about part of the game ( In a bad light most of the time.) Which is a damn shame because it doesn't disrespect any characters in the previous game, in fact it makes them so much more mature and a lot more developed than before. But opinions aside, the fact is this game has to be approached with a slightly open mind, Troy Baker said it best (Joel actor) " I never played a game that required me to play it selflessly for what it is, and not selfishly for what I want it to be." With that mind I know most people will love this story as much as I did, it's a damn shame that many people will always have a bad image on a beautiful art piece that is The Last of Us: Part II.

    My final remarks, i didn't experience any game breaking bugs/glitches or any crashes at all. I came in expecting rainbows and a message, but I saw revenge, blood, fire and war.    … Expand

    The game got great gameplay and looks stunning. It gets hated for the story and i just have to admit that some parts doesnt make sense. Nevertheless i just cant give anything less than ten because even even this "wrong" story was still very emotionial and devinitly better than most games the days. Must play

    The game itself is also incredible. The game-play is very satisfying, and every mechanic just works smoothly. Everything is super polished, and it just downright feels good and satisfying to play. And don't even get me started with the graphics. It has the best graphics I've ever seen in any video game, and I played it on the base PS4 (and no, my console didn't sound like a jet while playing).

    The accessibility options are just the best in the industry right now. You can customize pretty much most of the aspects of the game, so you can play the way it feels best for you. You can even change the difficulty of each aspect of the game individually.

    The music is breathtaking, and I don't even have words to describe how good the acting was. Every performance was amazing.

    Just give the game a shot. I legitimately don't understand how so many people hated it.

    I don't understand the players who give low ratings, the presentation of the story is at the highest level, the quality of the product is at the highest level, for me personally this is a very strong story that left a mark in my heart, I want to say to the developers, thank you very much for such an exciting adventure, thank you very much!

The story is exceptional, and the character development is beyond what any game has done before. I became invested in what I thought was going to be the “villains” far more than our heroes of the last game. A post-modern take on good vs bad, whereby it breaks that down into simply a “perspective”. The ugly truth behind the user score of that most people don’t actually understood this games complex subject matter and themes. Anger towards a new female character for killing a “beloved” character is nonsense. Joel is a good guy who does bad things, Abbie is a good women who did one bad thing, after Joel did a worse thing to her. The underlying message of revenge being all-consuming and never-ending is prevalent throughout the whole games dialogue. Ignore the haters. Play this game. It’s a masterpiece.… Expand

    Naughty Dog made an excellent video game.I can understand why people are angry but i love the story.They took the bravest path and their storytelling is amazing.
    The Last Of Us Part 2 focuses on 2 main chracters.Its like 2 sides of a knife.
    And of course with a great soundtrack.

I don't believe that a game can be perfect, but giving The Last of Us anything less would be a disservice to the incredible effort that Naughty Dog put into this masterpiece. From the ridiculously good facial animations to the amazing character interactions, Naughty Dog's incredible attention to detail is staggering. The Last of Us is one of the best survival horror games of all time; it fails to rely solely on gore and shock like many other survival horror games. The Last of Us puts a lot of stock in its characters and story. Almost every scene is rich with character development and further pushes forward the incredible story.

    There are annoyances - such as when Ellie or other friendlies get in your way during an intense fight, the fact that your allies are invisible to the enemies, and the entire ending, in general - but, again, nothing can be perfect.    … Expand
