    Unforgetable experience that transcens playing games. The story, the characters, the details...probably the best graphics of his generation. Mastepiece. (All the hate comes from the same scene in the game.)

    Одна из лучших игр, которую я проходил в последнее время, и точно лучшая игра года. Многие бомбят из-за сюжета, но лично я снимаю шляпу перед разработчиками за смелость. Таких эмоций от прохождения раньше я не испытывал. Когда ты кидаешь геймпад с криками "Нет, я не буду этого делать", но потом через себя чуть ли не со слезами на глазах делаешь очередное зло. Особенно порадовала линия заОдна из лучших игр, которую я проходил в последнее время, и точно лучшая игра года. Многие бомбят из-за сюжета, но лично я снимаю шляпу перед разработчиками за смелость. Таких эмоций от прохождения раньше я не испытывал. Когда ты кидаешь геймпад с криками "Нет, я не буду этого делать", но потом через себя чуть ли не со слезами на глазах делаешь очередное зло. Особенно порадовала линия за Эбби. Ну и трехчасовой финал - это нечто. В некоторых сценах просто разрывается сердце. Очень полезная с точки зрения морали игра, помогающая еще раз напомнить о причинах ненависти и ее последствиях. Очень жаль, что посыл игры поймут далеко не все. Если ты кого-то или что-то яростно ненавидишь - то самое время покопаться в себе.
    Уверен, что через 5-10 лет игра станет в глазах сообщества шедевром, но пока вокруг себя она собирает множество хейтеров с "особенностями" личности, с которыми игра и задумана бороться. Нашедшим тут лгбт-пропаганду или бомбящим от внешнего вида Эбби - отдельный привет.
    Гафика, а точнее уровень прорисовки как самих персонажей так и окружения - определенно лучшее, что есть в игровой индустрии.
    Из минусов - в районе 2/3 линии Элли немного начинал зевать. Ну и прошка всю игру воет как самолет.    … Expand

    Просто лучшая игра 2020. В ней прекрасно всё. Тот кто ставил игре от 0 до 7 просто не играли в нее. Я понимаю, что сюжет мог зайти не всем. Но это повод только снизить оценку на 1-2 бала, а не поставить ей 0.

    The absolute peak of the gaming industry. Naughty Dog at its best. No other game has ever reached this level of technical perfection, jaw dropping visuals, immersive gameplay and the best narrative I’ve ever experienced. An open mind and empathizing ability is needed when playing this sad and truthful story that everyone will learn to love as the time passes.

Звук, дизайн, локации, игра актеров, все на высшем уровне за исключением некоторых сюжетных моментов. Герои хорошо прописаны и понятна мотивация каждого. Так называемая западная толерантная повестка тоже косвенно присутствует, но черт возьми Элли органично смотрится в роли лесбиянки) По геймплею это лучшая игра которую я когда-либо проходил, очень динамичный с широким выбором стилей для прохождения. Финал оставил на пару часов с комом в горле, всем рекомендую, одна из лучших игр десятилетия, сюжет держит в напряжении до самого конца и равнодушным вас точно не оставит. Твердые 10 из 10.… Expand

But the sheer fact I never felt this way before playing a game and never felt this way since really says somethins. Kudos for Naughty Dog, who didn't delivered us the game we desired, and definetly didn't delivered what we deserved (it was far more than that).     I’m not sure why this game gets a ton of hate. All the criticism has to do nothing with the product itself. Which makes me wonder if these reviews actually played the game. Amazing and driving story that would have an impact on your emotions. 10/10 a must play.

    Beautifully tragic. An emotion grappling story about morally ambiguous survivors, doing what they believe needs to be done to overcome grief, trauma and loss. Plenty of darkness with glimmers of hope and light. This sequel stayed painfully true to it’s characters and most importantly, the world created in the first game.

    Loved it! Worthy successor to the 1st which was my all-time-favourite video game. Took around 35h to finish the story, and although I'm not sure I find every decision of every character 100% comprehensible, I think it's a well enough written and delivers exactly what it intends to.

    I am sure that many simply did not understand this game. I really liked The Last of Us 2. Largely because of the plot. He's definitely not bad. The game has a lot of unique mechanics, there is a unique physics of shooting, a unique presentation of the plot.

    Best game I've played all year. Enjoyed every minute of the 25+ hours spent. Nerve wrecking at times, smashing you straight in the face and very realistic. Gameplay improved towards the first game and though different, still a very strong story that makes you think about its outcome (at least if you're not one of those that like to spew hate and score this game before even playing it).

    Just finished playing it. What an intelligent and intriguing ending... What a feat of writing such complex and authentic characters and what a staging. I've never experienced anything like that. And what a great idea to convey both sides of the story so intensely and to create this fascinating dichotomy in me. An absolute masterpiece for me.

    It's really a pity, that a 10/10 game with superb storytelling got review bombed so badly, by people driven 100% ideologically, who - in most cases - didn't even play the game, just blindly dropping 1/10 or 0/10 "bEcAuSe hOmOsExUaLiTy bAd aNd sToRy wEnT nOt ThE wAy i wOuLd lIeK huRR dUrr".

    While I feel the Abby story was forced upon you, it added the depth needed to truly appreciate the overall story and the cycle of violence. Excellent story, excellent graphics.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I can't believe the response to this game from users. This game is very good and I think it'll reshape the way stories are told in the gaming industry going forward.
    Broaden your perspective. This is called The Last of Us, not the Elle and Joel show.
    It seems like everyone who hates this game wanted the Joel and Ellie story again. If that's the case, stick to the first game. Why should Naughty Dog tell the same story again? They kept Joel very much in this game with flashbacks to fill in the time gap between the first and second games. We got to experience Joel and Ellie in this game as well it just wasn't central focus. Naughty Dog forewarned that this story would be about the vicious cycle of revenge and they definitely delivered on that promise. If you can get over Joel's death, which was difficult, you can appreciate the depth and pain of the story Naughty Dog tells through Ellie and Abby. No one can tell me that some of the backlash isn't because Abby is masculine. I've seen plenty of transphobic videos of so-called men moaning about this. I researched her character, Naughty Dog claims she isn't transgendered but even if she is, so what? Does that make her pain any less important than anyone else's? The beauty of writing is that writers can MAKE YOU FEEL a certain way. The only reason why everyone was so heartbroken over Joel is because the writers made us feel that way with their brilliant storytelling from the first Last of Us. But we didn't see the other perspectives. We didn't see the carnage and pain Joel caused with his actions. Stop and think about it for a second. Yes, he loved Ellie. He bonded with her after he thought he had lost his ability to bond with anyone since losing Sarah. And so he made the [selfish] decision FOR HIMSELF to save her. It wasn't for Ellie it was for himself. And he sacrified what was probably best for the world to do it. Both Ellie and Abby lost their fathers and avenged them. They have quite a bit in common as characters. But people don't want to see that because Joel and Ellie achieved pedastal status from the first Last of Us game. To believe that only Joel's pain only Joel's feelings matter, is a very narrow way of looking at things. Had the first Last of Us focused on Abby's story, we would sympathise more with her. When I had to play as her for the second half of the game, I was genuinely curious what led her to carry out her murder of Joel towards the beginning of the game. I really started liking her when she teamed up with Lev and his sister. She cared deeply for that boy and put her life on the line for him. Ellie just got worse and became increasingly hatefilled, angry and foul-mouthed as the game went on. It's refreshing the changeover happened and we get to see a fresh perspective, otherwise this would become a generic revenge game driven by hate an anger.
    What The Last of Us 2 does so well is showcase how the pursuit of vengeance and revenge is never-ending and soul-destroying. Look at what happened to Ellie. She had a chance to move on happily at the Farm House with Dina and JJ. She had a chance to heal. And she chose to leave her family and pursue revenge that in the end she couldn't even carry out. A lot of people also criticise the ending because she couldn't carry out her revenge. Again, people miss the point. The real enemy here is the thought of revenge and how it can consume and destroy everything in your life. Sometimes what we fantasise about in our minds can't be realised when that moment comes. She sees Joel's face and has a moment of realisation finally that killing Abby won't bring Joel back but it would destroy her. So she stops. She finally stops pursuing this poisonous vengeance mission. She sits in the ocean and lets the grieving tears flow. She begins to heal. She has to lose basically everything to find herself again. And here's something else to chew on. Part of Ellie's rage was at herself. We see many flashbacks of Ellie and Joel where she is cold towards him because she is so angry that he lied to her about the hospital and what happened. She hated herself because Joel was taken from her before they could reconcile. In order to avoid hating herself to an unberable degree, she focused her rage on Abby because Abby killed Joel before she could forgive him. I'm sure a lot of Ellie's pain is due to how things were left. When you let revenge take over, it consumes everything good in your life. Killing Abby would have made things worse for her.
    The 1-star reviewers are why we don't get similarly awesome, imaginative, and new ideas in the market. Because people hate it, they can't appreciate it, they cannot cope with new ideas. So producers wouldn't risk losing money and they'll just keep feeding casuals the common stereotypical happy ending type cliches. The Last of Us part 2 is a breath of fresh air. The haters are definitely lacking deep thought.    … Expand

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
