    My game of the generation for sure. Topping off the PS4 generation with one of the best games ever conceived is a great achievement by Naughty Dog, and props to them for taking risks and trying new things. Even if you don't like the story, all other aspects are stellar, with THE best graphics I've ever seen, tight and gritty gameplay, topped off by fantastic acting. I adore it in everyMy game of the generation for sure.     It's not perfect - as nothing in this world is. But for me it is the best serious-topic story-driven game.

    The story is extremely bold and brave - still can't believe such a major studio went to that risk.     This game is a pivotal moment in the video game history to me. It is bigger than any movie or cartoon in that it uses the games unique power of story telling. Making you an agent, having you make decisions and see the consequences.
    There's more to it, but explaining would require spoilers.

    The techincal exeuction is next-gen - the sound system, graphics, and, man oh man, the gameplay. Lots of fun mechanics that just work. Also incredible details - i spent up to 10 hours just looking at environments. reading cafe's menus :D And playing guitar. of course.

    As of the critique - the story is of the suffering. It delivers terrible blows - not anyone would like it.
    Also, for me, the story was a bit too long - i'd cut 4 to 5 hours of it.

    But overall - I think, it at least is worth experiencing.
    Much better if you play the 1st game beforehand.

    The mechanics of the game are built so that gives great pleasure from killing enemies, both zombies and people. The game is quite long, but during this time it does not get boring, there is always some twist or TURN! It will be one of my five favorite games of all time.

    Awesome story. It does not compare to the story of the first game, but achieves a compelling, emotional, and stressful sequel. Don’t let the bad reviewers blind you, it is the most compelling game I’ve played after the Witcher 3.

I recently bought and played it after finishing the first one and i couldn't put the game down because i had to know what was going to happen. 2 days later i beat the game. Took about 30 hours and i didn't regret a second playing it.     Great game! Loved the whole story and made sense every single action of it. anybody who says otherwise maybe are just a bunch of kinds that don't understand that as people grow up so do the characters or maybe they didn't maybe finish the game. The graphics are really amazing.

    Even though the ending left me empty it was an unbelievable experience. The last of us 2 tells a story wich couldn't be more realistic and a more emotional rollercoaster. This game is pure gold and a perfect sequel.

The plot is a **** rollercoaster of emotions and it’s objectively 5x better compared to the TLOU1, I can say the same thing about the characters. I love Abby and Ellie both! Sia dal lato tecnico che dal lato del gameplay questo gioco è quasi impeccabile. Il giudizio della storia è soggettivo ma sicuramente essa è stata raccontata in un modo fantastico, per questi motivi si merita di vincere il goty. Few games did gave me that experience. Great gameplay geat story from start to finish i didnt mind playing with other characters cause that was the beauty of it.     This game is probably the game of the year for me. I don't care about all the angry funboys saying "i don't like the game, it's a 0/10 because the story didn't go the way i wanted...". It's meant to be a sad and depressing game, deal with it. That being said don't expect to have fun with this game. You have been worned.

I’m actually really disappointed in other players because they don’t see how amazing part 2 was and is. People in my opinion, just can’t see how great it is because of Joel. They have all this hate for Abby too. Which is just stupid because, Abby is actually a great character and more specially the main antagonist, or actually let me say, that maybe Ellie is also a antagonist or maybe an antihero. Ellie did so much wrong in the game too. Abby and Ellie both did. And now they live with that. Which is why Ellie makes her decision to let Abby go. But enough of the story, gameplay is amazing. Sound quality is so great. And the amount of weapons is great too. The way that the combat system evolved too is just great. Also, character development is better, and the actors gave a great performance which I love. Overall great game, just most people are just little crybaby’s… Expand

Gameplay is really fun with all those animations, details, quality AI and solid mechanics. Naughty Dog didn't dissapoint me with games beatiful engaging story. In first 10-15 hours I had a strong hate against Abby. And because of this hatred, I slaughtered all of Abby's friends. But after you start to play with Abby, you realize that no one is the true villian in this world. Abby is just a normal human being with emotions inside her. Abby part is just like first game actually. She starts her story as a soldier but after spending time with Lev she becomes a similar character like Joel. Just like Ellie , Abby wanted to take revenge. And she did it with killing Joel. But killing Joel resulted with Ellie killing all of Abby's friend. All this killing gave birth to a circle of revenge.

    Flashbacks show us Ellie and Joel didn't had good relations before joel died. And Ellie feels guilty because she didn't treated Joel nice before he died. To stop feeling guilty, Ellie uses revenge as a tool. All this drama transformed Ellie into a cold killer. But finnaly in the end she realizes killing Abby will not bring Joel back and will not stop the circle of revenge .With a final flashback Ellie remembers she forgave Joel. Ellie stops feeling guilty ,spares Abby's life and breaks circle of revenge. But it costs her the ability to play guitar (the last thing left from Joel) and Dina. And Ellie once remembers she must contiune to live on.

    The story of the game that I have summarized above is one of the best stories I have ever seen. And combining this story with perfect gameplay results with a mustplay masterpiece. Also sorry for bad English.    … Expand

    This was a perfect game in my book. The graphics and gameplay were great and were a good step-up on everything great in LoU. The story for me was a great journey to go through. They chose to go a path which I did not foresee. It is not something that might work for everyone but all character choices are understandable and the way the story is told is the best in any game to date.

    Provavelmente o melhor jogo da geração. Sei que muitos ficaram decepcionados com o enredo, mas, para mim, esta foi uma das melhores coisas do jogo. A Naughty Dog arriscou e tentou entrar algo que fugisse do simples "happy ending". Além disso, gameplay, gráficos, trilha sonora, tudo impecável. Esses elementos combinados tornaram o jogo uma das melhores coisas nesse desastroso ano de 2020.

    Od razu mówię ,że gra dostaje 10/10. Dlaczego ? Ponieważ, spełniła a raczej przewyższyła moje wszelkie oczekiwania. TLoU2 to gra o tym jak Ellie wchodzi w dorosłe życie z buta bez parasola ochronnego jakim był dla niej Joel. Rozumiem decyzję twórców jaką było uśmiercenie Joela. Gra miała być mocna i właśnie przez to taka była. Joel zginął a to było silnikiem napędowym wydarzeń w grze. CzyOd razu mówię ,że gra dostaje 10/10. Dlaczego ? Na pewno jest inna. Bo opowiada o zemście a nie o nawiązywaniu więzi typu ojciec-córka. Gra wywołuję masę emocji ja nie raz uroniłem łezkę czy też się uśmiechnąłem np. podczas retrospekcji. Mamy tutaj morał który mówi o tym że co się stało to się nie odstanie i nic tego nie zmieni a zwłaszcza zemsta. Co do dwóch głównych postaci. Abby - po tym co zrobiła z Joelem miałem chciałem ją zabić, ale po czasie poznałem jej motywację i spojrzałem na nią łaskawszym okiem lecz to i tak nie uchroniło jej od tego że chciałem jej wpakować kulkę w łeb bo jestem fanem 1 części i byłem bardzo związany z Joelem i Ellie . Podczas gry następuje jej przemiana bo z zawodowej morderczyni staje się nabierać powoli człowieczeństwa poprzez spotkanie Leva i Yary, również postanawia nie zabijać Ellie ani Diny mimo tego że ta zabiła jej bliskich ,najprawdopodobniej przez to że poniekąd rozumiała Ellie a Dina była w ciąży. Natomias Ellie z zwykłej dziewczyny poprzez rządze zemsty zamienia się w maszyne do zabijania. To normalne że chcę pomścić Joela za wszelką cenę bo ja chciałem tego samego. Zakończenie gry najpierw mnie w jakiś sposób rozczarowało ,ale rozumiem motywacje wszystkich postaci w tej grze. Gdyby Ellie nie wróciła po Abby męczyło by ją to do końca życia ,więc wróciła po nią i upodliła - po prostu dała jej do zrozumienia że może odebrać jej życie, mogła to zrobić ,ale wiedziała że to NIE wróci życia Joelowi i gdy upodliła swoje nemezis darowała jej życie. Z drugiej strony zadała Abby już wystarczająco dużo ciosów mordując jej bliskich. Tak samo jak Abby nie zamordowała Ellie ze wzgędu na to że Dina była w ciąży a ona odpłaciła się tym samym bo Abby również miała kogoś pod swoją opieką. Podsumowując. Ellie jak i Abby straciły bliskie im osoby oraz jedna darowała drugiej życie z tego samego powodu bo obie nie były morderczyniami tylko obie miały w sobie człowieka. Zemsta niczego nie naprawi - to morał tej gry. Na co więc śmierć Joela ? Tutaj postawcie się w sytuacji Abby... Eliie dorosła, nauczyła się podejmować własne decyzje. Najlepsza gra w jaką grałem w życiu. Jest w niej dużo tematów budzących kontrowersje i lepsze to niż kolejna gierka która wylatuje z głowy po napisach końcowych. Jeszcze raz 10/10.… Expand

    Technically perfect and a mature and provocative storyline that only expands and improves the universe of the previous game. So many different emotions in a game that goes where few dared to go. A masterpiece!!!

It's all about human nature and how gruesome and violent it can get. I remember pausing the game to catch my breath several times, or stop playing to digest what I have just witnessed.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. People seem to not understand the meanjng behind The Last of Us Part 2. No, it is not about revenge being bad, but more about all the characters finding peace within themselves by inflicting it on others. Take Joel in account, he rescues Ellie to find peace with him self since he lost Sarah. Abby tries to find peace within herself by killing Joel, but it doesn't work because she still has nightmares. After dreaming of entering the surgery room and sees Lev and Yara, she decides to go after them to save them, which when she does, she has another dream which finally isn't a nightmare. In that dream she enters the surgery room and finds her father alive and happy. She finally found peace. Ellie would attempt to kill Abby to find peace within HERSELF, but after all the flashbacks of Joel being tortured, while drowning Abby she has a final flashback of Joel well and happy playing the guitar. This is directly what happened to Abby where she saw her father happy and well. So Ellie decides to not kill Abby and have her and Lev move on together knowing killing her won't bring back Joel. Lastly, Tommy at first did not want to go after Abby because he found peace within himself not by hurting others, but by staying in Jackson with his wife. Until ELLIE tried convinced him because Tommy had all he wanted. In the end, after Tommy loses his wife and everything, roles are changed and Tommy attempts to convince Ellie to leave everything she had(the farm) and go after Abby since he lost everything he had and he wanted to find peace within himself by making sure Abby is dead. Ellie would tell Dina she can't sleep since she thinks about Abby too much, same with Abby telling Owen she can't sleep because she thinks about Joel too much. The moral of the story isn't revenge is bad, but how everyone tries to find peace within himself. The last of us 1 had an ending where the surface was hope but underneath it was misery, the last of us 2 had an ending where the surface was misery but underneath was hope. This was also shown how Ellie hates Abby not because she killed Joel only, but took away Ellies chance to forgive Joel, which later on she realizes Joel only wanted her to try to forgive him, which in the ending is shown therefore Ellie no longer strives to kill Abby.… Expand

    Достойнейшее продолжение первой части. Великолепная режиссура, саунд дизайн, графика. В техническом плане игра просто бесподобна. Геймплей мало изменился по сравнению с первой частью, но при этом в игре появились новые NPC, искусственный интеллект противника стал на порядок лучше. Сюжет многие критикуют, лично мне очень понравилось, как минимум это можно понять по эмоциям, которые яДостойнейшее продолжение первой части. Великолепная режиссура, саунд дизайн, графика.     GOTY indeed! I can't bring myself to play it again yet, but i'm a die-hard horror fan (on all mediums) and this was the best horror story of the year by a mile.

    This game is simply a masterpiece! A little bit too long maybe but I understand why the developers did that. Deserved Game of the Year! If you own a PS4 then play this. But make sure you have played the first game before, else you won't have the same emotional impact.

    Love this game, a masterpiece like all Sony exclusives. The story is very harsh and unexpected might be too harsh for people who are watching too much Netflix. I would put it 9 but put 10 because of lying reviews over here.

    Super jeu, qui s'est fait descendre pour des raisons parfaitement puériles. Le scénario est viscéral, prend aux tripes, véritablement, avec une conclusion qui donne au jeu tout son sens. La narration est audacieuse, et brillante, ND a pris des risques, et arrive à faire passer le joueur par toutes les émotions.

    one of the best games of the year def. story is great, engaging, emotional, full of important discussions and the characters are beautifully developed from the prequel.
    gameplay is awesome, innovations are great.

    a game that will always be remembered as a masterpiece after the hate speech era ends, and it's close.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
