This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I enjoyed the game a lot! I enjoyed the story that really gets me. I don't like Abby, but at the same time I can't not understand what she experienced in her life. Abby and Ellie even if most "gamer" can't see it, are really similar, they both seek revenge and for doing it they lose everything they care about. Abby is not the only happy character in the end cause she lost everyone that she cares about (yeah she got Lev but Ellie got Dina too). I'm sorry for Joel and for the way he was killed but I saw his death miles away, a character that dies doesn't mean that that the game is automatically bad.
Also yeah the game is brutal, it's brutal to show you that violence is repulsive and on the other si de there are people even if they are your enemies.

I hate the sex scene, that was bad.

As someone who loved the first one, I was stunned by Part 2 in the best ways. No, it doesn’t go in the direction I expected (or hoped) but I think it’s ludicrous to dismiss a story's quality because you don’t like what happened to your fave character (online fandom is the WORST in this regard). I’m sorry someone you wanted to have a happy ending died. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad story. As someone who loved the first one, I was stunned by Part 2 in the best ways. I’m sorry someone you wanted to have a happy ending died. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad story.

Every creative choice in this game – the deaths, the violence, the structure, the player character changes – had a pretty obvious point about cycles of violence and revenge. It hinges, smartly, on the most controversial moment of the first game and how horrific acts for the "right" reasons still have consequences. The structure, also smartly, puts the revenge tale in the first half of the game, and then forces you to empathize with all the people you killed retroactively, knowing full well there’s nothing you can do to stop what’s coming. It forces you to examine of the actions of "heroes" critically which it seems some players just don't want to do.

I think, ultimately, it probably belabored it’s central point a bit too much, but I was gripped and tense the entire time. It is a fantastic achievement, IMO.

Gameplay is classic TLOU but polished, with dozens of tense encounters, a more fluid combat system and a surprising amount of action set pieces. Also was pleasantly surprised by the number of jump scares. Visually, I think this is certainly the best looking game of this generation, perhaps the best looking game ever made.

I don't even know where to start, I was looking forward to this game even after part 1 and imagined the game for Ellie ... I finished the game in 39 hours on a high difficulty level. Graphics and faces of the characters in the painting, her diary, the effects at the highest level. The game is very beautiful (there are a lot of very beautiful and realistic different locations and there are many little things that not everyone notice you notes for example. This happens with unexpected moments (attachment to secondary characters, such as Dean. And game for Ellie) very cool done. And those mission in the Hospital and in a tall building - Just superbly made. Then I don't want to come off. This game deserves better than this horrible community. Today people do not have the necessary sensitivity and moral values, to appreciate this masterpiece. This game is a masterpiece of narrative storytelling and technical development. It pushes the medium to new heights, making other games look outdated. And many who criticize the game before you even played this game (I know he met) Missed the whole story and do not understand the different solutions that happen there, including different characters. Such people should not play such games, they are not for them, they're not going to understand, and even think that they have no sense of compassion and empathy. These games are too complex for them to understand. Many are simply not ready for such a game and such plot developments (e.g., Kill characters, and then to see them again on the other side), And the ending is not murder Abigail are all criticized, and violence in battle and it looked like the face Ellie and what she had experienced and been through what did and lost ). About Joyle everything is as I expected 7 years ago when I first passed the first part and saw the final. Death and JJ couldn't be different :(. This causes such criticism. They wanted her was the same as in the first part - but seriously, the majority and the minority just don't want this game. Because it's just not interesting , the same thing happened in the first part. (I know that many will disagree with me but the fact that most of them don't realize it's hard to explain words They don't even know what she is last of us part 2.I've thought about it - there are many such people, many incompetent critics. And yet there are people who have not played this game and from them, only criticism. The game ( Ellie ) didn't deserve it.I think those who criticize this game they are wrong and must be nerves Naughty Dog and Neil and Apologize and think about the game ...The game needed a breakthrough and something new in gameplay mechanics and story ,and locations and she did it, although very sad(Story) This is the best game I played. I would call this game a sad Masterpiece. The first half of the game is excellent I don't know how else to describe it simply super, but the second half changed everything,(this does not mean that the second half is bad (a Very well done narrative and the rescue of Abigail the two characters to which is also attached and sometimes it is very hard )there are also great moments of the characters to which attached and good deeds Abigail her as Ellie and DD and its the right choice, that she decided to betray your gang and former friends. The farm is very cool and beautiful location. The game gave a lot of sharp emotions, and it is on top.All the fighting and violence is very sad for me after beating the game and the ending and the last movie . And I'm sorry, Ellie... I don't know whether to recommend it to other players. This game,Last Mission Final roll, wiped everything, and after passing was very sad and felt only emptiness... I give the game 10 points a Game they deserved(If I gave her less it would not be fair to the game and the developers ) - I really liked to play for Ellie and follow her story of her partners Dina and They're a great couple I can tell you:) I hope Ellie with Dina will be in 3 parts and the story will continue ...These Games very small in the world and the Players and Fans need to listen to appreciate and trust the game Studios and game developers . I Think that many will agree with me.Special Thanks to Naughty Dog for what they have given us such a Masterpiece and everyone who reads this.

    Controls 9/10
    Sound Design 9/10
    Enemy Design 6/10 Characters 6/10
    Presentation 6/10 Story 0/10

While the game is very beautiful and probably one of the best looking PS4 games out there. The atmosphere is dripping with amazing attention to detail. I mean from exploring abandoned cities and towns to sneaking your way through the woods and traveling across from seashore to seashore etc. There are many more different locations to explore but with caution. The controls are pretty well polished and easy to grasp aside from a few hiccups. The sound design is almost perfect. Those dang clickers. There are not enough enemy varieties IMO. Only the regular infected and the clickers are present with a new type of enemy which are forgettable and annoying at best. The characters are very boring and one sided. I mean I didn't get attached to a single character like in the previous game. The character building and progression was all over the place. I mean by the time you start liking a character then the game introduces new characters as story fillers. The presentation was not as impactful as in the original. I was never on the edge of my seat. Now the story..... well the story was completely bad. Now this is my review and opinion. Apart from time jumps which were very poorly done and out of place. I think they ruined the pace of the game. There was a certain plot point in which was the driving force behind the whole game direction. They tried something balsy but failed. I found myself annoyed and mad playing the game and by the time I finished, I literally didn't have that feeling of not wanting the game to end. I was glad when the game ended. Towards the end I felt the game was dragging and went on too long. In closing, I didnt enjoy this game as much as the first one. The graphics were amazing and the controls were easy to grasp but the story, presentation and characters were all letdowns for me. Also there were not enough enemy variety.

The Last Of Us is a "Story" driven game (for all intents and purposes), and the story in part II (episode 2) is no where near the original game. Therefore anyone claiming one has to play the game to gain understanding of the "story" (use the term loosely) in part II is very ignorant. Gameplay does not affect the story in any way in part II, it's simply the vehicle through which the player travels through the story. Thus all the claims about gameplay are irrelevant...The Last Of Us was never praised for gameplay. it gained acclaim because of it's plot, which was creative in several aspects. The main four being how the cordyceps virus affected humans, the relationship between Joel, and Ellie, what Ellie meant for mankind, and the nuance of all these things blended together.

You get nothing like the above in Part II, there is a complete focus on violence, and despair. The game is quite dangerous in this aspect, as it's easy to see depression set in as a result. The Last Of us part II is a game depressed individuals should definitely not play. It is a game about "revenge", which are a dime a dozen. A cliche plot point, which is beyond overused at this point, and offers nothing to fans of the original game, when compared to it.

Objectively, it is impossible to do a continuation of The Last Of Us...seeing as it's like the end of a book series. There is only room for a prequel (Ground zero for outbreak) or a middle sequence (Joel, Tess, Tommy, and Marlene lives up til the start of the original game) to the aforementioned "book" series analogy. I rate the game a 2...1 point for graphics, and 1 for gameplay, any other numerical value solely resided with the story of the game.

I waited so long for TLOU2 to finally release and while I was counting down the days until it’s release I would replay TLOU1 over and over again in anticipation, and I must say TLOU2 exceeded my expectations in every single way. The graphics, attention to detail, sound design, performances by the actors, and soundtrack are some of if not the best I’ve ever seen in a video game. And the accessibility features are amazing. The game shows that in the world of The Last of Us there are no hero’s or villains, just survivors, like Tess said in TLOU1 “we’re **** people Joel it’s been that way for a long time” then Joel said “no we are survivors” basically everyone in the world of TLOU has done horrible things to survive, but they’re doing the wrong things for what they believe are the right reasons. TLOU2 shows that it’s all about perspective and by the end of the game you should feel conflicted. It asks questions such as What would you do if someone you loved was the victim of a cruel and violent act? How easily could one's mind tip toward violent retribution? How far would you go to bring the people responsible to justice? If you were successful, how would it change you? Would you ever be the same? I love how this game is both a revenge story and a redemption story, it’s basically 2 games in 1. I recommend this game to everyone. Expand

I loved the fact that we get to experience the same story in different ways this time. The gameplay and mecanics are familiar yet refreshing and the level of detail is exceptional. The new characters are well-crafted and feel real for the world of The Last of Us.
Finally, if you are not open to the new form of storytelling the game presents you with, you'll probably end up hating it - hence the review bombing. But if you let Naughty Dog tell you their story the way it was intended to, the game will take you to another level of narrative.

As much as many people say that history sucks, this is a lie, because it is really necessary to have maturity to understand this game. The last of us part 2 is a really good game at all; in history, graphics, gameplay, mechanics and also realism. It's an almost perfect game and I recommend playing.

It gets tiring to restart the three-day journey now with a despicable character. It was not necessary to show everything of Abby’s life as they even copied lots of models at base that ruins immersion. This part should have been shortened to show us only her relationship with the surgeon killed by Joel, as relatable character development couldn’t have been conveyed to the player.

I don’t consider it a bad ending. Note that the main objective of the first part was to deliver Ellie to the Fireflies to create a vaccine and such objective wasn’t completed. Joel travels half of the country and at the very end, he decides just go home.

The real problem was to be forced to play as Abby, it felt like measure to emphasize with her (but there is absolutely no way you could do that after seeing her killing Joel) and becomes desperate to the point to save awesome and memorable parts (such as the Seraphite island and Ray King boss fight) to her. It got disgusting when you are prompted to attack Ellie at the theatre (meaning game over if you let Ellie win

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Joel looks Tommy in the eyes while cleaning out a guitar, telling him of the events that unfolded in a hospital in which Ellie was supposed to undergo surgery. Consequently, it would have meant the cost of Ellie’s life in exchange for a cure. At least, this is the very first scene of The Last of Us: Part 2. “Jesus Christ Joel…what did you do?” Tommy asks. Tommy can only think of the past events that unfolded in Joel’s and Ellie’s quest, as questionable by stating later in the scene, “I can’t say I’d have done differently…”. Earlier Joel simply replies and reassures Tommy that “I saved her.”. Joel was caught between an extremely controversial decision that was eventually being controlled and manipulated by individuals who wanted to fix everything an infection has brought with it, ever since its emergence. Such examples of these individuals are the surgeon – Abby’s Father, the Fireflies leader – Marlene, and even Joel himself. However, Joel was the only person that really wanted to do right by her, by saving her from her inevitable doom. As a Father, this makes perfect sense if it were to be considered that Joel’s feelings for Ellie have grown to a level of that for a daughter. However, having completed part 2, it only seems that The Last of Us is the only significant story out of the duology that can be taken seriously because it was the only one the made absolute sense. The analysis has begun.
Yes, I am stating that The Last of Us: Part 2 does not make sense. Despite it being an amazingly directed, animated, and immersive story, it lacks real legitimate purpose, and proceeding events truly hurt the story’s foundation. Why is there even a part 2, to the happy ending story we had received in the first part? Or why did the events unfold the way they did…when realistically…it is plot immortality that was simply handed to some dead surgeon’s daughter – Abby. In self-defense for Joel and Ellie, Abby’s father was the one who killed himself for not allowing Joel to leave peacefully. Abby’s father was the one who stood in front of Joel with a knife, with intent to kill him. As a consequence, Joel Killed Abby’s Father….and this should’ve been the end of it in part 1. It appears at first that the story is going by smoothly, however, things take a sharp turn when the story is dropped off on Abby. The biggest problem with Abby is the immense amount of plot immortality she has been given. I am not sure why she even exists! It is a bit outrageous how she simply and miraculously runs into and is helped by Joel and Tommy. Her entire purpose was to find and kill Joel, but the fact that the plot just hands Joel over to Abby is ridiculous. This is the hugest blow The Last of Us: Part 2 takes to itself. This is primarily the reason why the story can not be taken seriously. Additionally, it counters the fact that Abby eventually stopped pursuing vengeance after several years have passed. She discusses this with Owen throughout one of the flashbacks she has in the story. So, even after all those years, it is a possibility to reconsider revenge…but at what cost? Abby took Joel’s life in exchange for all of her friends’ lives. It just comes to show that Abby has little to no real character development. She is selfish, and extremely naïve. How can she put all of her friends’ lives at risk by taking the life of an innocent man who was simply trying to save his “daughter’s” life? It is simple, she never took into consideration the immense amount of value Ellie had for Joel, and vice versa. She naively puts herself into Ellies position and states that she would’ve wanted her dad to conduct the surgery, even if it took her life. But this isn’t about Abby, nor her Father! This was about Joel and Ellie….and The Last of Us: Part 2 shoots itself in the foot by taking this crucial fact away. Afterall, Abby with her huge guns for muscles and immense amount of plot immortality is miraculously handed Joel’s life, and she seizes the opportunity and takes her long-desired vengeance. Overall, the story wasn’t fulfilling in any way. No real sense of justice was achieved. I have lost myself, my family, and my purpose. The Last of Us: Part 2 held little to no real significance when it came to provide a purposeful story. Despite its quality, in both gameplay and storytelling…storytelling is vital when giving purpose to a story as immersive as this. (Immersive because it is a videogame after all.) The creator/author of The Last of Us: Part 2 threw away all his foundational and meaningful storytelling…for an addition that took everything away from his creation. The Last of Us: Part 2 is definitely one of the most overrated videogames of 2020…and it breaks my heart realizing this.

You can’t complain about the revenge story being jammed down your throat if you’re also angry with the ending. Because if you do it means you didn’t understand the revenge story being told. The importance of the female centric story is immense. Female representation is one of the most important things to me when it comes to emerging narratives, and the representation this game provides is monumental. The first two hours of this game left me bawling, and there was never a point where i felt comfortable putting down the controller. I constantly felt the need to see what happens next. The game play is phenomenal and allows for a realistic adventure with very well paced waves of several enemy types. The evolution of gameplay from the first game is spectacular and introduces new things to interact with while there are also new dangers to worry about in combat. Characters and violence have extreme highs and lows, and although at some point all of the characters made some kind of upsetting choice, I never once felt it didn’t belong in the story. The story makes sense. The decisions they make align with the characters and what happens aligns with this universe. It’s hard and hurts, as it should in a harsh world where there is never a safe moment or rarely a “happy ending” for these characters. The diversity in the cast and characters from age, sexuality, body types, etc. is very natural and it feels good to play such a widely known game that does it so well. I laughed and smiled so wide at humor and absolutely stunning scenes, cried sad and happy tears where I felt so intensely for the characters, and I nearly crapped myself at some of the encounters with new enemy types. Well deserved 10/10 for overall attention to detail in every aspect. I have never played anything like it and it’s hard to accept that not all other games will feel the same after this amazing piece of art. Expand

They managed to make one of the best games of all time when the original debuted in 2013 by crafting a unique world, stunning storytelling and fun gameplay. This game takes everything great about it’s predecessor and spits in it’s face. I can’t believe I’m writing this about the sequel to one of my favorite games of all time.

About 75% of the time playing this game I felt disgusted, hollow and remorseful. There is one section of this game that will make you smile and realize what made the original so great. Don’t hold your breath, it fizzles out quickly.

Every progressive attempt at diversity and inclusion comes off as pandering and insincere. It’s the run of the mill propaganda that has been being shoved down our throats for the past 2 decades. If I could, I would’ve skipped this entirely and kept intact the perfect story that was the original. The graphics are stellar, as well as the music. The gameplay remains fun but a bit repetitive and clunky. All of this is drowned out by the atrocity of a story and a meaningless ending.

The only thing that got this game points with me were the graphics. The controls were very much like the first game, but show their age. A little clunky at times, but alright. Now let's get to the big problem. The story. Jumping back and forth, from timeline to character; it was difficult to keep track of what was going on sometimes. But that was just the beginning. The characters were awful as well. Not the acting, to clarify, but the character writing. The characters from the first game made stupid choices that, if they were the same characters, they wouldn't have made. Abby, the new character, was completely unlikable and unrelateable, despite having a solid reason to be included in the story. The third problem is you can tell that there was an agenda, or another reason, the story was written and the characters made the way they were. Media, like games or movies or books, are made to enjoy and to escape reality. That all falls apart when someone is trying to shove their beliefs down your throat. This game is a prime example of this and explains why the story was so hard to follow. Too many agendas cause the story to be disjointed. It's such a shame, I've been waiting for the sequel since the first game was released on the ps3. It was a masterpiece of art. The main story, the dlc, graphics, it was incredible. Only to have the sequel reduced to someone's opinion on how the world should be. Please, let's return games to what they were and stop with the forcing of political and social beliefs. Those are some of the topics we are trying to escape when we play games. Expand

A sequel to a story oriented game that can only be compared to the likes of the last jedi's story. The story has glaring plot holes with previously established characters from the original game suddenly going out of character to fit the story arc that ends miserably. The arrangement of the story is absolutely a disaster.

Doesn't really innovative from the last game, the story is below average compared to the last game, feels like they're trying to push the dry and edgy side too much. While the main theme violence begets violence flops pretty hard as you wade through nameless soldiers who repeat the same lines.with the horrendous crunch the devs were made to do. The accessibility options are a nice addition.

The voice acting is exceptional across the board, it has stunning sound, decent combat and gameplay, staggering environments to run around in, and the very occasional moment of sheer joy. It IS a dinosaur. But other than those rare moments I didn’t like playing it at all. It’s horribly violent and nihilistic and seemed to resemble torture porn much of the time. The plot doesn’t seem consistent for already established characters and the delivery and timeline is clumsy to say the least, adding to the misery. Sound: 7 - Good overall sound quality, especially gunfire and infected enemy variety sounds.

Dialogue: 4 - There is a lot left lacking here. In some cases, how the voice actors are reading the lines, but mostly the dialogue choices. So many characters stating out of character lines, it's not even funny.

Gameplay: 6 - There is not much different here than the first game, just another cycle of set pieces and environments to trek and battle through. I also ran into a lot of glitches where certain character models didn't load during death animations. I also once felt like I was going to drop through the map when hopping down off of a higher platform in an interior level. You could see the black above the level design.

Enemy AI: 4 - This is just downright horrid at times. Enemies on many occasions ran right past me. Even on the harder difficulties, this game was just too easy to stealth around and kill oblivious enemies.

Story: 0 - This by far is the worst aspect of this game. It is hard to get into the details without major spoilers, so I will say this. Stay very far away from this game if you played and liked the first game. I would call this game more of a disparaging fan fiction than anything else.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I just finished the game last night, and I am still constantly thinking about the game. I am over 50, and play games instead of watching t.v. I have not had a game that has wow 'ed me, taken me on an emotional roller-coaster, made me really think about things instead of just running and gunning, feel for and come to understand every person directly involved in the story. I laughed out loud many times, and cried more than once.

In the first game, I definitely identified with Joel, as I am an older straight, white, male, also. I loved that story, and understood his motivations very well. This game had me dig even deeper, and got me so involved that I connected with and, understood the motivations, and struggles of both main characters. At first I didn't really like playing as Abby, but very quickly I could empathize, and sympathize with her, and her allies. I didn't want to... but I did, and then came to care about her, and her plight. I guess I've always had a good imagination, and the game developers, cast, and director did an AMAZING job of using the "take a walk in their shoes" method.

My wife, who is also over 50, and straight. Played this game, and absolutely LOVED it! She had to bite her tongue so many times so as not to spoil the game for me. Her comment to me about an hour after she finished the game was: "Damn.... now what am I going to do...." I mentioned new game +, and she is already 1/4 of the way through her play-through. And this is coming from a woman who typically hates reading notes in games, and would rather play multiplayer games so she can team up with me.

TLDR: Gameplay: smoother than the first. Graphics: WOW!!!!! I was left stunned looking at some of the amazing scenery way more than I should have. Attention to detail: More detailed than the first game. Story: REALLY draws you in, as long as you have an open mind, and let the game take you where the writer wanted to.

My completely honest opinion, is that this game is nothing but a work of art, and was much more involving than any other story driven game I have EVER played. TLOU was great, Horizon: Zero Dawn was also up there, and I could go on and on about all the games I have ever played, but I really do have to get back to work.

I can't wait to get home tonight and start my new game+ play-through.

What a game. We played it in about 35hrs within 3 days; we even sat an alarm to get up early to continue playing - and overslept it cause we were playing from 8:30am until 2:30am the first day. We waited for this story to continue for 7 years and we just consumed it like there is no tomorrow - which I wouldn‘t recommend as I suffered from migraine and severe devastation for the following 4 days. I‘m too old for this sh*t.
Back to the game: the DETAILS!!! The facial expressions of the characters as you play them is unbelievable. They talk to each other as you play, they comment on items you find, Ellie is even biting her nails sometimes; there even was a plastic bag flying through the air in post apocalyptical Seattle! When Abby bit her lip in that one video sequence!!! I could go on forever and the most important thing is the STORY (I just particularly love these DETAILS): I remember how I completely didn’t expect the ending of the first part. I was shocked. Is this the ending!? But!? The cure!? How is she going to believe anything...!? What is!!?? I ended up convincing my husband to immediately restart the game (it was 1am in 2013) as I was sure it had to be a decision-ending and that he simply made that decision and that we can change the ending. Yeah, pathetic. It was THAT kind of a shock. 7 years of discussions about what would happen next between Joel and Ellie and legitimation of Joel’s decision and a never ending nerve-racking WAIT until the story finally continued this June. We consumed the story (we had broken up years ago but yes, we still play games together cause they‘re magic and we cool). We played through the whole story, taking whatever Naughty Dog was throwing at us; at times I was crawled like an embryo and breathing heavily holding together my grief and anger about all the damn perspectives they force me to undergo, stubbornly continuing the damn game in silly hopes of a happy ending (I can hear Naughty Dog laughing [and my ex]). That sh*t hurt. I was SO angry with Naughty Dog. I had gone through too many different yet most devastating emotions in too little time. I‘m sensitive, I‘m empathic; YOU GUYS!!!!! That stuff hurt so bad. In part one you had that one spectacular decision in the end - Naughty Dog must have just said DANG IT, WE‘RE JUST DOING IT! and that‘s what they must have thought on part two every other WEEK. The plot changed faster and heavier than we could ever expect; every possible heart break just HAPPENED; that moment when you switch to Abby... I simply LOVE ABBY and she turned to be my new true hero of The Last Of Us - THERE, I said it!!! I was with Joel and Ellie in the beginning and then ND forced me to realize how brutal and relentless they are (and Tommy). I had spent YEARS trying to JUSTIFY Joel‘s decision (which I never accomplished - in contrast to my ex) which was FORCED on me by Naughty Dog and now the same people show me that IT INDEED WAS THE WRONGEST DECISION EVER MADE and it caused nothing but GRIEF and SORRY - but they don‘t stop there: you have to play Abby and (when you played the game open hearted) find her to be sensitive, strong, smart, afraid of heights, desirable - simply find to love her - find her dad to be the DANG SURGEON (knowing he will be murdered) - find Owen to be her true love (knowing he will be murdered) - ALSO the surgeon takes care of the former zoo animals LIKE THEY ARE TAKING AWAY EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL WE THOUGHT WE HAD, WE THOUGHT JUSTIFIED JOEL‘S DECISION sorry. Long story short: It was like in that episode of Malcolm in the Middle where Dewey finds his "evil twin" but soon he has to realize that this boy is the good twin and HE is the evil one himself. With the difference that Abby also falls for revenge and therefore finally ruins her life so far as well. I hate people. Thank you Naughty Dog, I truly hate you guys. This is the most incredible journey of emotions, human abysses and stunning graphics ever created. My ex died two times ingame when the first dog attacked us - I wanted him to figure out a way without killing the dogs, but yeah, you also force us to kill dogs. I wondered if there ever is enough time to cope with The Last Of Us Part II - sadly Naughty Dog will give us plenty of years to deal with the aftermaths. I want ABBY and ELLIE saving the world TOGETHER; nothing less¡!! My only wish for all further christmases and shooting stars is that civilization will make it until The Last Of Us Part III - The Remnants

PS: YOU EVEN TOOK HER FINGERS, YOU MONSTERS; GIVING AWAY ELLIE STATUES THAT PLAY GUITAR IN THE COLLECTOR’S EDITION; genius stuff...

Is not a fan service game. But is still good. In my opinion the story could have been better, totally agree, but is a real well made game. You can see the efforts in development.
If you ask me, I'd prefer de first one. But this one takes vengeance to a new whole level and that makes it different .

Believe the hype. Incredible game, beautiful production and a an Oscar-worthy story. Not often you’ll get to the end of a game and start it all over again, but this is one of them

    The good:
    -Amazing graphics.
The bad: -No online like the first game. -False advertising with Joel on trailers -The story doesn't do the first game's story any justice -It's isn't a fun game. Conclusion: the reviewers rate 10/10 to keep their access rewards, they can't be trusted. If you loved the first game then you'll likely hate this game (which was their intent). A huge

The game is very bad, it is not fun. Very boring, the story is also not good, I did not like it. The graphics were average, sometimes blurred, but that's okay. The game's physics of reality is a little interesting, the only positive point, but you can't ignore the other drastic mistakes in the game. Literally crap, I don't recommend it to anyone!

Created an account just to give it a 10 to help offset all the hatred from the toxic cry babies on here that know nothing about life, nor the lessons when learn from the experiences and choices we sometimes have to live with.

It think it's safe to say that this game may win GOTY and it'll be hysterical knowing that all the cry babies will have to cry some more about it online again. ♡

This game put me on a rollercoaster! I played through the first game with my friends that have never played and it then immediately bought the second to continue our journey. My friend knew about the ending and was expecting to be infuriated only to find that we understand the story’s purpose. If you want a game that has a purpose and will teach you a lesson then this one is for you

Не, ну если вам зашли новые ЗВ, то игра точно понравится) Берите и не думайте!

Being a story driven game, TLOU2 is one of the biggest disappointments of the current console generation. It's not that I don't agree with certain story decision. They just executed it poorly. NONE of the characters live up to the quality of the first game. The plot is manipulative, way too overcrowded with subplots and unnecessary love triangles. While exploring the game world and discovering all the tiny secrets is fun, I hated to see how the story unfolded.

Some details to explain why I really didn't like the story:

Abby: I get what they were going for. And I'm not mad because she kills Joel. But making me hate her for 15 hours and then make me play this character did not help. Maybe they should have made her playable earlier into the story so I can understand everything BEFORE things happen. Playing her that late into the game didn't make me care about her. I hated this character and after finishing the game I still do. Furthermore, this does not change the fact that Abby is a straight up psychopath! Torturing a guy to death that just saved your life, sleeping with your friends boyfriend, wanting to kill a pregnant woman (knowingly) and giving a **** about all her friends. But hey, she pets some dogs...

    Joel: We don't trust strangers....

Elie: She knew Joel lied to her at the end of the first game, didn't she? Now she's mad? Oh and remember the lighthearted, optimistic and caring girl? She's gone! Still better than Abby as she shows immediate reactions to killing innocent people AFTER beging attacked.

Jesse: Only likeable character gets shot for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

    Tommy: Survives a headshot.

And what's wrong with pregnant women in this world?

    And so on...

TLOU2 is a technical masterpiece and a fun game to play. But to experience the "story" is frustrating and angering. What were they thinking?

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. What a beautiful game with a compelling story that makes absolutely no sense at all. Forget everything you know about the first one. Joel and Ellie are villains now, in fact they are the worst people in what’s left in America, Joel especially. Man do they get that point across. Also you play as this new girl who may or may not have killed Joel for half the game. This new girl ultimately is about to kill Ellie half way through the game for killing her best friends earlier. Then you spend the next half of the game as this new girl killing the rest of her friends because she met this girl who thinks she is a boy who saved her. Ultimately this girl-boy convinces This new girl to not kill Ellie Despite the fact that she-he accompanies her all the way there to Ellie’s hideout knowing full well what the plan was. Despite having been let off the hook twice by this new girl, Ellie still goes for revenge at the request of Tommy who survived a point blank gunshot to the head. Honestly I didn’t think the player reviews would be true, but man this game made no sense and was all over the place. Still a fun game worth the money but a let down if you expected more of what the first one was about. Expand

It feels more like a mandatory task than a game. The new introduced characters are boring and have no real backstory. How Joel died was an absolute **** joke he would've never done something like that. overall it's not worth 60 usd. Expand

Horrible story writing! Political correctness has NO place - let alone such a big impact - in a game that is supposed to tell a post apocalyptic story. The graphics and gameplay were amazing but the decision making of characters, character development, and the ending were all catastrophically bad. The only reason I’m not giving it a 0 is because from a technical point of view the game is amazingly beautiful and pays attention to so many details that have until now only been reflected in real life, never before in video games.

I hope NaughtyDog learns from this mistake...

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
