I just got done with the game and just WOW. I've never been so affected by a game like this ever. It's been an hour and I'm still trying to reel my emotions in. I've felt everything from horror, terror, rage, happiness, sadness and even guilt. This game is truly a masterpiece. Thank you ND for this experience!!!

Fantastic game. The gameplay is almost the same as the first game, but it has much more depth. The story was unexpected, but it made me emotionally invested in both Abby and Ellie. The graphics and overall environment blew my mind. I think this game really is a must play.

The Weapons customization.

The bad: It seems like a bad copy of the mix of the Rambo, Final Destination and SAW movies (excess violence and gore just for the gore itself, violence only for violence, without escape valves). The game is boring. The visual impact of "semi-open environments" is soon over. Action scripted. Weapon customization is good, but magic falls off when there are few bullets and it's more "entertaining" to block and punch some enemies. There are many cracks, chests of drawers and doors that baffle because they are only put there as a decorative wallpaper. Some bugs appear (Ellie without a right arm, blocked faces in the background, blurred faces in distant models, lighting problems with the flashlight, which probably already has a patch in this regard). Scripted sequences “go forward” only go forward (which does look good, but is still a hallway). The restrictions imposed by the embargo imposed by Sony Playstation, Naugthy Dog to the analyzes limiting the opinions to only the first 13 parts of the game and from then on "the doubtful part and the controversial part" do not enter the analyzes, therefore those 10 cannot be sustained.

The Meh!: No game is perfect. The press knew that the leaks were true and yet they never warned or warned about the changes in the cast, this detracts from their credibility due to the bias of the embargo This game is rated M for “Mature” / PEGI18, so I don't know why they are trying to sell this game to children under 18 who shouldn't be playing it. All that feeling of The politically correct and to be well with the groups that the press gave off for this game on paper sounded "good", in the leaked video it already warned us that it was not what was expected, in the execution it fails since it is not merely fun and it will make you feel bad, a video game should give you other sensations not make you feel bad. This game is not a 10/10, but not a resounding 0 either.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Abby is the best part in this game. The arch and journey that she goes on is something that you don't see anywhere in the rest of the story.
Ellie was disappointing as seeing that she never learned a lesson or realized that what she was doing is not what Joel would want her to do.
Have to say, the graphics and gameplay, (while not evolving from the first) were still incredible and fun to be a part of.
I wish there was less focus on forcing a political value on customers would have been replaced with logic and thought about how the characters could have been more developed.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

Telling the story from both sides was something I never thought needed being done but it definitely added to how I felt at the end, I almost didn’t want to finish it and have Ellie try that last time to get her revenge because I actually felt deeply about both characters. The sounds design was amazing and the gameplay mechanics and HUD never felt clunky, in the way or over the top. Making you play as Abby and having to sympathize with her, learning she actually isn’t as bad as you thought she was, and really feeling the pain she went through, and seeing it from Ellie’s perspective, watching her give up everything for revenge, when it wasn’t even what she wanted, all she wanted was piece, and it hurts me inside seeing how she ended up in the end, definitely GOTY in my book, totally worth playing, same for the first game too! Unfortunately the story was taken in a disappointing direction. The entire second half of the game all I could care about was about the story with Ellie as Abbey’s portion felt like a means to an end. Although it’s okay to take the overall plot in a risk direction, the pacing and organization of the narrative brought a sour taste to an otherwise solid game. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A steaming crap taken on the original game. Yes the art and music is fantastic (when it's not being ripped from a different creator without credit), however the story itself and the murder (both figuratively and literally) of beloved characters is just terrible. Let's start easy. Joel was **** in this game. They changed his entire way of thinking in order to get him in the position for Abby to kill him. Remember back when Joel got mad at Ellie for using her real name when they met Sam and Henry? Yeah none of that comes to play when he gladly gives his name to Susan Strong... Ehem I mean Abby. Next, the massive plot armor that Dina AKA "The Nose" and Abby have. It's beyond unreal. There is a scene in the game where The Nose shoots someone and then falls through a window. The other enemy holsters his weapon and goes over to strangle her instead of shooting her. There is no reason for this aside from giving Ellie a chance to stab him. The same thing with Abby surviving all those infected and somehow Joel showing up to save her. Even worse is the scene of Abby killing Joel when Ellie walks in. She stands and watches for many seconds. This isn't what her character would do. We saw it plain and simple when she saved Joel's life in the hotel in the first game. They even reference it in this piece of garbage but for some reason she can't rely on those lighting reflexes when Hulk Hogana... Ehem I mean Abby, is at the end of the barrel. The writing in this game is lazy at best and just plain stupid at worse. Another nitpick of mine is that this is not a romance game. Never was never will be. This game is about survival and the (very sloppy) romance that the writers try to add in doesn't help the game at all. It makes it feel rushed and unfinished. Much like the rest of the game. The story and plot armor aside the mechanics have not really improved. You can dodge, you can lie down, and She Rah... Ehem I mean Abby, can break your neck like a toothpick. That is the only improvement to the mechanics. It's still just the same animations over and over throughout this empty world and with a story that can't even hold itself together without pulling a GoT "let's kill beloved characters" it doesn't work. Save yourself the heartbreak and don’t start this game. Garbage story, but the dumpster fire doesn’t start until you’re in pretty deep. Being forced to play as Abby (the antagonist) for 10-15 hours is beyond dumb. Zero stakes. Zero empathy. Apparently, zero understanding of the basic tenets of storytelling. Despite my undying love for TLoU#1, this is a DNF for me.

This is a terrible game. The original was a decent game with a good plot which dealt with themes like family and loyalty which resonated because although it was a brutal world, the story was essentially one of love and redemption and taking one’s destiny into their own hands and finding hope and a reason to fight even in an ugly world. This is literally the opposite of that. Fun times.

But the story is an absolute mess! Yes I was passed when Joel was killed but not by the fact that he died it was how he was killed. They made his character and Tommy's character look like they were thick (If you played the originalnyou would understand).

They made Abbey look like a genuinly nice person and gave her everything. Ellie was made to look like a vile person just after revenge and took everything away from her.

I would go more in depth but to be honest this game is not worth the words, I'm surprised I've already written this much.

They killed Joel and then make you play half of the game with his murderer and you never truly empathize with her. The only emotions that the games manages to evoke comes from destroying everything you loved about the first one. The games is incapable of standing on its own and has to rely on your love of for TLOU1 in order to evoke any kind of reaction. Expand

This doctor is not a threat. He stands there limply, holding a scalpel, so technically he’s not unarmed — but you’ve got a gun and the gameplay has made it clear, after hours of close fighting, that your character could subdue the man peacefully if he wanted.

Video games are constructed around choice, and when I played the game for the first time, I expected one here. A lot of games, including highly ambitious ones, present you at various points with a kill-the-guy/don’t-kill-the-guy binary, allowing you to shape at least a part of your character’s morality. At this juncture of The Last of Us, however, there was nothing but a glaring lack of alternatives. The only way to move the story forward — and reach an ending in which I’d already invested 14 emotionally debilitating hours — was to murder the pleading doctor while his colleagues screamed “No!” and

The epitome of “there are two sides to every story.” As usual, Naughty Dog are not shy when it comes to pushing the boundaries of story telling. The game makes you question the actions of characters you once thought were good, and consider the actions of characters you once thought were bad.

So many people hate on this game because it’s not the pink, fluffy fairy tale they wanted but at the end of the day, it’s the apocalypse. People die. People do bad things. This isn’t a Hollywood movie where the good guys skip happily into the sunset. This is Naughty Dog. This is realism at its finest

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Well, well, well. For the past 7 years, I have never wanted anything as badly as I wanted a TLOU sequel. Nothing at all. It was my favorite game of all time, apart from Bioshock, and I gotta say, I'm disappointed. The scenery and the graphics are all gorgeous. The gameplay was basically the same as last time around, which I have no problem with. But the story? The story was a gut punch. Kudos to the dev team for wanting to try something different, I have no problem with that and I respect their choice to do so. Killing Joel was a perfectly fine way to go, I think that idea was good for the overall story and furthering Ellie's story. But man, after 7 years of waiting to keep going along for the ride with Ellie and all the promotional stuff leading us to believe we were in it for the long haul with Ellie, boom, HALF OF THE STORY FOLLOWS THE WOMAN WHO KILLED THE (albeit terrible human being) MAN WE LOVED. That's why this game disappointed me. Was Abby's story empathic and a cool twist that we weren't expecting? Of course. I have no issue with dabbling in that territory. But good lord, for half of the game? A game that was what, 30 hours long? Nope, sorry that ain't it chief. Cut a 3rd of the game out, let Ellie get her revenge (or let her live like she did in the game, I don't care), and then let's move on and give Ellie more to do. More to overcome, more to grow in her new post-Joel life with Dina. Do I understand Abby and her motivations? Yes. Was her storyline with Lev endearing? Yes. Do I care about it? No, not really. This was supposed to be Ellie's story and it ended up being half her story. It was a new and ambitious way to tell a story, but to me personally, it just didn't really hit. I could never bring myself to really care about Abby's character. I'm 1000% envious of the people who could really get into her character and loved her and loved that story dynamic, and maybe I will too after another play-through or two. But my instant feelings are one of disappointment, but that's just one humble mans opinion. Oh, and to all the people bashing the game over its LGBTQ inclusion, 2 female leads or anything stupid like that, it's 2020. Grow up already. Dislike the game for real reasons, not bigoted, idiotic ones. Expand

This game has superb storytelling, graphics, gameplay and a huge amount of graphic violence. This game keeps you hook throughout its 20+ hour run time. Characters dynamics and interactions are almost as good as the relationship between Ellie and Joel. This games character development even makes you love side characters and even people you shouldn't. The only thing I can think of as a downside is Abbys section of the campaign could have been a separate thing like Left behind was in the first game as it took away from Ellie's story a wee bit even though that section was still fantastic. Last Of Us part 2 is a Worthy follow up to the amazing The Last Of Us. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A brilliant game, but marred by inconsistency and a disappointing plot. The gameplay, performance of the cast, musical score and graphics are all exceptional, however in spite of them it’s watered down by a plot-hole ridden story; characters we know little to nothing about, unnecessary scenes and rash decisions by said characters. Abby’s storyline (seeing the story and setting from the antagonist’s perspective) I found interesting, if a bit drawn out at points. The ending, particularly, is the biggest problem for me: Ellie choosing to let Abby live rather than killing her as she vowed to do. I understand the idea that they may have wanted to implement about breaking the cycle of violence, but it was poorly executed in my opinion, especially given Ellie’s murdering of countless people during the game. Regardless of these faults it was a very enjoyable game. Perhaps it all will be worth it for a third instalment. Expand

In TLOU1, there was a good rhythm of tension and relaxation. Sometime like Joel, I don't really worry about achieving the goal or not.
I kind of understand why the writers took this path. After I finished the game, it's just lazy writing. And too much of Neil's personal stuff sneaked in there. Neil tries to create a perfect Jesus image to be the other side of Ellie, but failed.

Puntos a tomar: Graficas, Jugabilidad, Mapa, Historia.

    -Graficas

    Mi calificación:
    Gráficos: 10
    Jugabilidad: 10
    Mapa: 10
    Historia: 8

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Alright, so i just finished the game, but let me start from when i started the game. i thought, "hm why are people hating this so much?", then Joel died, and in a not very cool way. I though that sucks, but, i also saw why they did it like that. They wanted to take the Hero off of his pedestal, and destroyed him, very literally. I thought it made sense, they want the audience to feel the same as Ellie. It made me want revenge just like it made Ellie want revenge, i personally thought that was fantastic. Then while playing as Ellie i loved the graphics, i enjoyed the game play, i liked the sneaking, and i liked the suspenseful moments. They could have worked on a lot of the person to person interactions, to me a lot of it seemed awkward and through a lot of the flashbacks i kept seeing a weaker Joel, a Joel who cowered i fear of Ellie at all times. He was meek whenever Abby was around. I disliked that, in the second game, and some flashbacks that went back to before they had the bust up, he could quip back at her and wasn't passive. I also didn't like having to play as the enemy... it didn't humanize them to me, it made me hate them more, i hated playing with Abby, Owen etc. I see what they wanted to do from a narrative perspective, they wanted to show that the enemy inst so different from the character we love, which is fine, but i didn't like it. I like that we saw JJ, Dina and Ellie live happily in the house, but i hate that Ellie couldn't let it go for Dina, and lastly that Dina was gone when Ellie came back, more on that later. When Ellie then leaves i do not like that we have to save Abby to then fight her, to then let her leave again. I wanted to kill Abby, we traveled far to kill Abby, so let me **** kill her, that mercy **** sucked, the little flashback to Joel that makes her think he wouldn't like this is dumb, she was having PTSD about seeing Joel die and now she grows a conscience out of no where? Screw that i want Abby to drown. When we get back Dina and JJ are gone, everything is gone, Ellie stuff is packed into one room, and we then play the guitar, only to learn she cant, because Abby bit two fingers off Ellie in the fight. Then we have a flashback to Joel and Ellie sorta reconciling after their feud, which was good because a lot of the flashback implied a lot of tension, but the last flashback showed the still loved each other and wanted to reconcile. But what i HATE, absolutely despise, is that we didn't get to see Dina and JJ again, they built up the living together part and the leaving scene was so dramatic, i wanted to see them make up and walk together into Jackson as the gates close. Or at least have it as a post credit scene. Its a fine game, i had fun, but the thing i hate the most, is not killing Abby, and not seeing Dina again.

To who ever has read all of that, thank you for listening to my opinion, and have a nice day.

I'd probably give the game a 7/10 based solely on the graphics, acting and music which are all absolutely phenomenal. Throw in some really enjoyable gameplay (which is similar to the first game, and still great) and you've got yourself a game that's extremely addictive. Now throw in a mesmerising story that invites you to partake in some hauntingly beautiful moments, and some grotesque and tragic ones. You'll be laughing and crying throughout the game.

My advice is watch a gameplay before you buy cause it saved me 60 bucks. The game mechanics are the same and the story has this obvious undertone of sexism. I will not buy this game

Oh what an emotional ride! This game takes you through a roller-coast of emotions, it takes *you*, the player, and smacks you into a physiological experiment that opens your eyes (or others’) to see how one can handle their emotions, it tests your EQ. A lot of “holy s**t” moments that tie the story together and (can) open players’ eyes to (in)humanity. Amazing game! Expand

Not as great of a master piece like the first one was, but, still, very far from the piece of trash a lot of people are claiming it to be.
It is a very good game with astonishing graphics and an arguably perfect gameplay. But the overall narrative doesn't stand to it's predecessor.
Would give an 8.5/10 but in this case I'll prefer to round it 0.5 up instead of down.

Ya guys are all nuts. I need therapy after finishing this game, but you lot that didn't understand **** about this phenomenal work conceptualised by an incredible team should urgently seek therapy for your own bloody issues. Get ya head outta arses! Sure it had some issues, but I'm telling you, try to salvage what little humanity you may still have left in ya. ASAP.

Complex and unique. If you felt angry after playing the game succeeded. Like experiencing the Red Wedding for 30 hours.

The best game of this generation

Pros: level design, face expressions (owwww), the story and the narrative, gameplay, combats.
Cons: loooooong explorations, medium AI, some characters can be more explored.

Left me speechless.. It's the best work of fiction I have ever experienced. It's a brilliant continuation to the original masterpiece. I got me riled up like nothing else. It'll test your emotions, your morals..fudge. I absolutely love and appreciate every bit of details in this masterpiece.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
