    The Last Of Us Part II is an amazing game with flaws but a must play for sure. Just just read this review and decide it for yourself.

    OVERVIEW : Basically this a very dark game(Story) equipped with the iconic The Last Of Us gameplay and a prominent way of storytelling. The part 1 ends with Ellie and Joel on there way to Jackson where Ellie asks and Joel promises ellie that whatever he    The Last Of Us Part II is an amazing game with flaws but a must play for sure.     OVERVIEW :
    Basically this a very dark game(Story) equipped with the iconic The Last Of Us gameplay and a prominent way of storytelling. The part 1 ends with Ellie and Joel on there way to Jackson where Ellie asks and Joel promises ellie that whatever he told her about the fireflies was true and boom THE END, credits with that crazy music. Gustavo Santaolalla(Music Director of the two parts), lots of love for that music. Part II continues five years later where Ellie is an adult now, Joel is old and they're living a good life in jackson. Ellie makes some good friends in Jackson and one day she finds out the truth about the fireflies and then stops talking to Joel which is very sad but lets continue. In Jackson, Ellie and her friends with others go for rounds outside the Jackson to check for survivors and for infected. When they're on rounds something bad happens to ellie where someone who's close to her gets killed in front of her by one of the WLF soldiers who are also known as Wolves who've come from Seatle to kill that person. Now the whole game is about Ellie going to Seatle and taking revenge on the death of that person.

    THE REVIEW :
    First of all the graphics are soo good, cutscene to gameplay transition is smooth and there is so much attention to very subtle to subtle details.
    Second thing are the characters. Ellie was funny in part 1 but in part II she's changed. She's brutal and she gets so involved in the revenge that she couldn't control herself from killing anyone who comes in her way. Then comes Dina who is girlfriend of Ellie. it's an important character so I have nothing much to say. Joel is there, obviously, nothing 's much changed about him, he's the same brutal and handsome Joel. The voice actors are also great, Troy baker(Joel), Ashley Johnson(Ellie),Shannon Woodward(Dina), Laura Bailey who plays a role of another important character.
    The Third thing is Gameplay. there are two new Villian groups. Washington liberation Front(WLF) and Seraphites also known as scars. WLF are group of people who are not with the federals and live on themselves where as Seraphites is a cult who are deadly too. WLF uses dogs for finding their enemies and you've to kill the dog most of the times but its okay. it's just a game.
    I like both enemy groups. Enemy AI is smart. It makes the game realistic. And the common enemies, the infected, there are four types, Runners, Clickers, Shamblers and Stalkers. Each of them have their own way of difficulty while killing them.
    The Fourth and most Important thing is the Story, The story is good but the most important thing which i think the game director and one of the story writer Neil Druckmann and the other story writer Hailey Gross wanted to tell is the concept of Perspective.
    This game shows two perspectives, one is Ellie's and the other is the killer's perspective. If you see the two perspectives, then you'll find out that there is justice on both the sides. Thats where i liked Neil Druckmann's vision towards this game. There is no game I've ever played which is this different. Now the game's getting so much hate is mostly because of the sudden death of the person who's close to Ellie which was very unexpected. I too felt bad but i gave this game a chance and i do not regret my decision.

    Now this game is approx 25 to 35 hours long. And that is a point which I did not like in this game because it becomes a little repetitive. And other point is that the ending is a little weird while playing but it has it's own meaning and after finishing the game you'll realise why it has to end like that.

    i'd really appreciate Naughty Dog's risky and experimental approach towards this game and they knew people might not like but still they did it and I think they've succeeded it.

    I know some fans will not like this review but it's all your perspective, It's the way you see the game.

    I've played a lot of games like GTA, Red Dead Redemption, Uncharted Series, Batman Arkham Series, Lot of Spiderman games including Spiderman PS4, God of War, Assassins Creed games, Call of Duty games and a lot others. And this is my first review on a game.

    A Must Recommended game to everyone. Just try it and see it like a movie and you'll definitely love it :):):).

    the game is very good in terms of graphics, atmosphere, gameplay, but the story is horrid and uninteresting, the character of abby is horible and cannot be empathized and the worst part is where they make you fight ellie, and the end It is disappointing and unsatisfactory as ellie lets abby out.

You think you are about to move on from missions but No you are not even half way through i felt utter boredom doing these and had to really force myself to continue. Normally with so much time invested in any game 6hrs plus i enjoy the story and characters i am with but this is soul destroying i feel like just switching off and watching paint dry TBH it is so depressing fams have anticipated this game for years since the last game and have been rewarded with this dross very disappointing from ND.… Expand

    Pretty looking but horrible story. Glad I played it on a friend's playstation.
    Unrecognizable characters disconnected from original. Dumb and unbelievable plot.
    Throw in the occasional finger wagging about whatever pet social issue/cause.
    Spoiled the experience for me but if you enjoy stuff like that you may like it.

И такого, к сожалению хватает. Но сюжет плох не только из-за таких вот натянутых моментов, так же ещё мотив сюжета крайне примитивен, а причина так вообще высосана из пальца, всё это уже давным давно видели и все это уже затёрто до дыр.
    Концовка вообще меня заставила сжать геймпад от злости, и начать сожалеть что я потратить деньги на диск с игрой, поиграйте, и вы поймёте, о чём я.
    Также оптимизация желает оставлять лучшего, моя PS4 Pro кипятилась и шумела, и я мог бы понять если бы она ещё при этом выдавала адекватные кадры, но довольно частенько меня сопровождали неприятные просадки.
    О гемплее особо сказать ничего ультра-вау не могу. Анимации по сравнению с первой частью стали заметно лучше, но колоссальной разницы я не заметил, ну разве что ещё коммуникация врагов друг с другом стала лучше в диалогах, они зовут друг друга по именам и не просто кричат реплики, а активно переговариваются - это прикольно. Но бывают частенько такие моменты, когда щелкун грызёт условного бойца ФОВ, а его кореш стоит почти в плотную и кричит его имя вместо того чтобы стрелять, выглядит это весьма комично.
    В заключении скажу: как отдельный проект 6 из 10, но как наследник уже почти классической игры 2 из 10, в основном в игры я играю ради геймплея, но эта одна из немногих игр, которая заставляет играть ради сюжета (по крайне мере первая часть), здесь достойного продолжения истории я не увидел, и обидно не за деньги, а за очередные порушенную надежду.

    i just finish the game the game play and graphics is superb no question about it but the story line is a trash to many loopholes . fyi its ok for me if Joel will leave the series actually i'm kinda expecting that in about an hour playing it then this happen why the hell .. they live in post apocalyptic world why would they even trust those people . and with the plot that you will kill so many people to exact revenge then in the end that you suddenly stop...the **** you already killed to many people for that lol the story plot of this is like the season 8 of GOT....     Wow really after 10 years of wating this is what it comes down to? What's the point of this game? I dont get it it's like as if naughty dog want people to dislike the company. The whole story is hot garbage, is there a way to get my $$ back?

Imagine a Mario game where Bowser tries to kidnap the princess, fails, escapes, and then Mario spends the whole game chasing Bowser just so he can teach him a lesson. The Last of Us 2 has pretty much the same feel. What an annoying story, just pretty ridiculous. Feels more like a really violent soap opera than just good vs evil. Like other reviewers have said, it really is mostly about revenge. Call me old-fashioned, but I've always been more a fan of games with an existential threat as the focal point.… Expand

    O primeiro jogo foi maravilhoso, eu amava os personagens e o decorrer do jogo, agora nesse segundo eles cercaram a história, o gráfico e jogabilidade e mapas são maravilhosos, mas a história tá simplesmente horrível, o início foi bom mas depois de um ponto a história só piora cada vez mais.

    Skit game, I waited 7 years for this dog skit game, Joel deserved better and you just had to ruin the game ofc. Glad I didn't pay this game either.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Imagine if on the next installment of God of War, Kratos gets killed by some elf's child for revenge 2 hours into the gameplay. That would suck.
    After all the buildup of the character of being such a badass and a fighter, the character dies in such disrespectful way and this happened to Joel.
    When I first heard the leaks of Joel's death, my prediction was that Ellie's girlfriend would get murdered and Ellie goes out for revenge. Joel follows her and when Ellie gets into trouble, Joel would be saving Ellie and during the process get killed. This angers Ellie even more and motivates her to get her revenge. I honestly think this would a respectful way to present Joel's death, saving Ellie.
    Joel's death is not even the worst part. With good writing with such major character dying so early in the game, I think the game could have received 9/10, but rest of the writing is horrible too. For second half of the game, the player is forced to play as Joel's killer, Abby and I think the devs were trying to make players sympathize(?) with Abby for her actions and make her look like a good person or likeable character (which was not working for me btw). Some of her actions are horrendous and it pissed me off that I had so play as her for such a long time and it felt like a waste of time for me. I think Abby's backstory could have been released as DLC (idk who would buy it) and cut down the main campaign's playtime significantly.
    Finally the ending was so unsatisfying. You play 20+ hours to let Abby go. I guess Ellie had this sudden realization that revenge is bad after killing hundreds of people to get to Abby. Ellie was fine killing so many people but she can't kill one person who actually killed Joel. After that, she returns to the house where Dina was supposed to wait for her to find nobody waiting. The game ends with Ellie failing to play guitar since she lost two of her fingers in final confrontation with Abby. It also shows this bittersweet conversation between Ellie and Joel about Ellie telling Joel that she won't be able to forgive Joel for what he did at the hospital from Last of Us and you can see Joel holding back his tears. I honestly felt so bad for Joel this game who saved Ellie because she reminded him of his dead daughter, Sarah, just to be disrespected by Ellie and get killed by random new character. Also, when did Ellie become such a **** This is not the Ellie I remember from the first Last of Us who was mature for her age and understanding.
    The first Last of Us had so many appealing side characters like Bill, Henry, Sam, Riley and even David ( who did his job to be terrifying). Some of the new characters from Last of Us part 2 are Abby, Jesse and Dina and I honestly found none of them relatable or appealing. Their dialogues were boring and I wish they had more character development in such a long game (20+hrs btw).

    It would be unfair to say that there are no good things in Last of Us part 2.
    They introduce new enemy types such as dogs and shamblers. It is nice of them to introduce more enemy types but I honestly wish there were more new enemies.
    Graphics also look amazing. It is easily next gen graphics and there's no denying that.
    New controls such as prone and jumping. Prone is somewhat useful but jumping might as well not exist if not for some geological puzzles.
    Gameplay is almost exactly same as first Last of Us which might be both good and bad. It means there were no improvements but personally for me, I was satisfied with it.

    The game looks amazing but that is about it and having such a long playtime doesn't help either, making it such a waste of time. I think this was such a wasted opportunity as a sequel to such an amazing game. The first Last of Us ending was perfect for me and did not need a sequel and I wish I can forget Last of Us Part 2 ever existed.    … Expand

    Then there’s that scene, it made me cringe so much, how did they not hurt each other from that?

    The gameplay was very good but repetitive even the things that should catch you off guard happened a bunch of times, to the point of me anticipating them.
    The graphics are amazing. The sound is phenomenal. The storyline and character development are trash.

    Played it. Switching to xbox. The agenda ruined the game. The attacks by Sony ruined the console. Are the naughty dog writers so simple that they can't come up with new and interesting ideas on there own? All they have the mentality for is destroying what put them in their seats. Good riddance.

    As someone who did not enjoy the core gameplay loop in the first game at all, finding it outmoded and clunky compared to other titles, it was the story that kept me invested and pushed me through the poor gameplay to see it through to its conclusion. And it was worth it for me.

    In this game? Not so much.     The mechanics have changed little since the original title, which is a shame, because that long development time would have been ideal to just tighten up the controls enough to make combat and exploration a little more responsive and enjoyable. This is doubly disappointing as the story makes some very decisive and decidedly poor choices when it comes to pacing and character development, throwing out the foibles and virtues of existing characters, and instead repackaging them as clean blank slates to both serve the narrative direction and give plot armour to newer and less interesting characters.

    The mid and latter stages of the game felt more like 'going through the motions' so we can advance the petty revenge story, rather than watching loved characters - both old and new - grow in meaningful ways. I expect this kind of pacing and plot progression in open world RPGs where side quests and grinding are expected and even encouraged, but not in a linear and story-driven action-horror title. I followed this game through to it's conclusion, but honestly? I wish I hadn't.

    That said, if you are not motivated by story or writing or character progression and come for the gameplay (power to you), then you'll find a gorgeous world filled with fun little details, immersive ambient sound and lighting and some fairly pretty (albeit dark due to an over-reliance on interior levels) environments which show off the game engine and PS4 hardware in a way which would have some PC owners sweating a little.

    For me though, this isn't enough. I can never justify style over substance, and have returned the game for a full refund out of principle. I have only ever been disappointed enough to do this once before, and is not something I take pleasure in doing. I like to support art and artists, and I will never tell you to not spend your money, but all things considered, I would strongly advise not paying full price. Maybe catch this in a sale or on the pre-owned shelf at your local game store of choice.    … Expand

    Graphics in TLOU 2 is fine, gameplay same to first part, but plot and characters are terrible.
    Naughty dog loosed trust of most gamers, like a lot of companies before, as they spit on their fans.
    Gameplay trailers are usuless, and try to make us fools.
    Preoder system has to be canceled.
    Druckmann has to be fired.

I just don't understand how you could have 7 years to Create something memorable and enjoyable for your supporters and totally drop the ball. Ima very disappointed in the mediocre gameplay and Horrible storyline. Just glad myFinally done!! This Game is ok if you're only seeking Graphics and Gameplay.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My view of TLOU2's Storytelling: Joel dies a pitiful, sickening, post traumatic stress inducing death. Justice is not properly served throughout the entirety of Ellie’s brutal crusade. The newly introduced characters are basically irrelevant and apart from serving as Ellie's emotional support; Jesse, Dina, Tommy, and a few other characters are simply killed off or brutally injured without being given a fighting chance. Tommy and Ellie do get some vengeance in killing Manny, Nora, Owen, Mel and a few others. However, Abby, the catalyst of their conflict, escapes with her life time and time again. Along the way, there are some good (I'd even say "great") moments of character development for each respective character(s). Although, it's more or less just an emotional tease for the viewer and does not have any major impact on the outcome of the story. They show time and time again that Naughty Dog was able to produce a tear jerking story of meaningful friendships and satisfying revenge but decided to avoid that route and instead give players a dreadful tale to follow from beginning to end. As you continue to play, Abby is arguably the focus of this game and being forced to play from her perspective is torturous. I'm assuming Naughty Dog tried to give Abby a sympathetic outlook on the game's story in order to make her a more tolerable character. We learn that Abby is afraid of heights, likes collects coins, helped her father rescue a Zebra, etc. She even rescues a young child from a group of survivors similar to, but far more savage than, that of David's group from TLOU1. During that event Abby is supposed to reveal her positive characteristics but it isn't before long that we are reminded of her equally monstrous desire for revenge and stomach for brutality. Abby is only compassionate to her friends and will kill anyone else without remorse and having to carry out that violence by her hands is cringeworthy. Ellie shows empathy for her enemies and is shown to be suffering from PTSD throughout her day to day life; especially after cornering and killing Nora. She even tries to sympathize with Abby by telling her that she knows why Abby wanted to kill Joel before they proceed to fight in a theater. Ellie understands that she was a victim of Joel's lie and Abby was a victim of Joel's massacre. Ellie is mature and able to reason with the enemy while Abby is pretty much just shooting whoever makes her mad. More than this, it is revealed later in the game that Abby *never* witnessed her dad being killed by Joel. She only saw his corpse some time after he was murdered. While in contrast, Ellie was cruelly forced to witness Joel's murder and therefore Ellie's lust for revenge has a unique justification that Abby's does not. Abby went out of her way on a 4 year long mission to hunt and kill a man that had put his past behind him and she gets away with it: Abby escapes and starts a new life with her friend Lev. Ellie, our protagonist and the victim of Abby's violence, does not get that luxury and is left with no shoulder to lean on as she returns to a farm house with physical and mental scarring.

    My view of TLOU2's Game-play: Without expressing my opinions on every aspect of this game, just know that I find the game-play very satisfying and rightly improved. The fighting mechanics are much better than before, especially in hand to hand combat as the player now has the option to dodge incoming attacks. The player can now also jump, maneuver via rope, and crawl. Most of the surrounding areas are also available for exploration which gives the player a true sense of freedom. The graphics are wonderful with both the environment and the characters in the environment and the lighting provides a very immersive feeling for the player and viewer alike. The physics of most objects are very realistic and I like the way that snow and rain interact with the world. I also find the voice acting and sound effects to be phenomenal as the speech, coughs, grunts, laughs, cries, yells, gunfire, footsteps and more were completely believable and did not distract the player from the setting of the events.

    My overall review: To sum this up. I was consistently tense throughout the entirety of the game after Joel's death and from that point forward each of my fears were confirmed and often surpassed around every corner. Naughty Dog achieved their goals in delivering a tragic story and I have no complaints about inconsistencies with their storytelling. My problem is that the story they chose to tell is one of injustice and despair. Our characters did not have a happy ending. Joel's death alone left me with so many tears and negative emotions that I had no choice but to see through the entire story just so that I could get proper closer. The game-play alone deserves a 4/5 but the story is essentially evil.    … Expand

    When I bought the second game, again it wasn't really for the gameplay it was for the story.
    And man was it disappointing. Whether it's Joel's early death. The lack of information on what happened during the five years that had passed. Or the fact that you play more of the game as the person you so desperately want to kill. Then if that's not enough Ellie, leaves a perfectly good life, with a hope of being a part of a family to finally kill Abby. Only to go through hell and let her live. Also just to run salt in the womb, she can't play guitar anymore.
    Now I've thought and talked about this with friends. If we had the chance to write this story what would we have done, and here it is.
    The start needed to be more flashbacks, or just scenes in general of the past five years with Joel and Ellie. After completing the first game that's what we all wanted to see.
    Show their relationship build until the point she finds out the truth about what really happened at the hospital. Then do a time jump of two years, to the point of the evening Ellie and Dina kiss, and the part when Joel interferes and Ellie tells him she dosent need him and all that jazz. Clearly still pissed at him. Then the catalyst moment should of been Tommy being killed by some fireflies that he wronged in the past. Joel decides to set out on a revenge quest, and Ellie, even though they're not on good terms right now. Cares about him too much to let him go at it alone. She decides to go with him. In the first game they build a relationship on the road. In this game they rebuild their relationship on the road. When it's all fixed, and as a well earned finale/payoff, then you could kill Joel. After an entire game of playing with and alongside him. Boom, now that's how you write a part 2!    … Expand

There are also some really heartwarming scenes between Joel and Ellie, though in rather drawn out sequences mostly void of any action. The main problems however - which overbear any redeemable quality - are the direction of the plot along with the decisions made by each character.

    Most rational fans understood that Joel was going to die, but there were a million other ways it could have happened and still retained the game’s realism. Instead, they made Joel and Tommy out to be a couple of dumbass amateurs in the process. Not only do players hate Abby at this point, but they are then forced to play as her for the next several hours, learning her backstory, with some shallow attempts to draw out some empathy for her character. Once again, there are some pretty engaging moments with her and Lev, etc, but overall, it feels pretty dragged out and I honestly couldn’t care for her. I would have much rather preferred playing as Tommy for the second half of the game, or, you know, have Joel die much later and play a significant portion as him..but whatever...this game fell flat in its most important aspect (Storytelling), and that is a huge disappointment.    … Expand

Above all things I think our problem here starts with Joel being too badass and Ellie being too cool and cute in the first game. As Joel says in the ambush with Ellie, he had been on both sides. He was once with those we killed violently in the first game. He was once what were our enemies in the first game. If he was on the "other side" he was probably killing people that we wouldn't consider our enemies?? After that we have the hospital scene. Joel gets crazy and goes guns blazing throughout the hospital, kills unarmed doctors and nurses and prevent the cure from being created. Not only did he do this he also had that ultimate lie at the end. Nevertheless we all depicted Joel as a true hero! (myself included, I had allegedly said "Joel is the best character in the video game world" but why? Did naughty dog drawn us so deep into Joel's life? Seeing Joel being killed like that was too much too digest. No character would never feel like Joel again. Ellie is no longer that cute cool girl. She's still haunted by Joel's lie. Furthermore we get to play with the one who killed our hero. And it did felt like "despite all the effort to show Abby's life is also hard and not more special than anybody else", it did. In the beggining it is unconfortable to play with her. No matter what good deeds she's up too. She's the one who killed Joel and deserves to die. It was like Naughty Dog was forcing a character into us. But it wasn't. And that's the part where the game is revolucionary. It didn't come to please, it came to shock and make us wonder. We got too attached to the first game and to Joel and young Ellie. The first game leaves us with some questions and opinions, but despite all the bad things Joel had done, he was still depicted as a hero and people didn't even have the chance to play with him. Turns out the way the story unfolded was the story where Joel was no hero and we weren't prepared for that. I still give this game a 10. It went further to a next level of gaming. For those complaining about "swj" and "agenda", I'm sorry for you. I'm really sorry the prejudice is strong enough to prevent you from enjoying a game where women are the most important characters. And don't you think is weird that not even in a fictional VIDEO GAME women can't have a moment? Were women the problem? Or because they didn't have big **** If you can't tolerate women, if you aren't able to tolerate different gender on a FICTIONAL GAME, go get help.… Expand

The game is supreme in details,gameplay was amazing, I love play with Ellie, the gore scenes, using weapons and its improvements was nice, the cruelty of that world is amazing, the zone of infected humans are scary and awesome, I don't like play with Abby but I admit that scenes and zones was gorgeous and powerful, kill bosses with flamethrower was funny.

    The IA need better perfomance, I played in the hard difficulty, tons of enemies are ALWAYS behind of you, and is easy kill they, is so easy, needs improve better perfomance,

    The history have some incongruousness but the message is powerful, the revenge destroys you, Neil Druckmann catch the scene and the essence , but play with Abby was horrible and nice at the same time.

    abbye no es una victima, cuando ella se vengo de joel hizo que ellie mirara y la dejo ir solo para poder seguir haciendo lo mismo(si a ella le dolió mucho lo que paso porque queres que alguien que no te hizo nada sufra incluso más haciéndola mirar?), tuvo oportunidades infinitas de matar a a elli pero no, mata a seres queridos de ella solo para ver su reacción (y creo que con le escena del teatro queda bien en claro que abby es una sadica), si elli la ubiera matado no seria lo mismo que hizo abby bajo ningún concepto (hey amigos la venganza es mala a pero si lo haces como abby que le salio todo de 10 y nunca recibió castigo ta todo genial)

They killed the main character like he was dumb and useless, and suddenthly we have to play as his killer for 10 straight hours, and if that wasn't even enough we have also to beat the sh*t out of ellie while playing as abby. In the end ellie didn't even get to revenge on abby. Last thing when we only have ellie as a beloved character we see her losing dina and JJ and also she won't be able to play the guitar again , which was one thing that joel taught her to play. And to make things even worse she abbandon joel's gift in his house.i'll give a 3/10 because at least the music was good, the graphic was good and even the AI was really good… Expand

    Overall the story was written like someone who was wrote a college essay last minute, extremely sloppy. It tried so hard to be different and speak on social issues which was great but came across as trying too hard and in the end was just an utter embarrassment of a game. Little to no enjoyable parts, it became very redundant.

If you want to feel this game fully, you should play on your own from the beggining to the end and without getting spoilers. It's sad that some people don't give this game the chance after the first twist. I really wish more people could feel this game as I feel. Moreover, I was suffering from depression for some days after I had finished game.
    This game is not only about redemption. It’s about self-hate. Ellie hates herself because she feel her guilt over her attitude toward her close person. The self-hate became hate to all world. Also, ND shows the path of degradation and evolution of the antagonist and protagonist and It’s amazing. It allows players to feel characters fully. I mean that how ND make the story about redemption is very creative and exciting. All I want to say that you can hate some events of the story, but you can’t deny its greatness.
    Gameplay is ideal, but there is no a lot of new features. ND didn’t create something new and incredible. Anyway, the gameplay is interesting and, what I like very very much, cinematic. Playing tlou 2 is like watching film due to amazing animations. I believe that games must be aimed at cinematic gameplay.
    And, of course, ND’s insane details which cost a lot of crunches, energy and nerves for developers.
    In conclusion, I would like to say again that The Last of Us Part 2 is the game which gamers can be proud of. Naughty Dog risked very much creating this plot, but, in my opinion, the result was amazing. Thank you, Naughty Dog for this experience. I am looking forward for TLOU 3 and new IP.    … Expand

Motivation is pointless when a couple of hours later the game works overtime to destory that motivation and just make you confused and leaves you just wanting to leave the situation. I don't think this story is putting across what they thought it would. I just felt extremely let down by the reactions characters have when just before the cut scene we were murdering dozens of people and animals. Maybe an action game where you are required to kill isn't the place to force shame onto the player for playing the game.

    The other parts of the game are great. It is one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen and the acting in most of the game is fantastic. The story just ruins the overall experience and the legacy of the first game and destroys any desire that I would have to play through it again. I wish they would have done things differently. I really do.

    Some people think it's a good story and I think they haven't played the first game yet. Without the context from the first game, it's a dumb story that you may ignore. Such as both characters kill bunch of people but somehow at the end "oh, I don't wanna kill you". Come on, they kill a hundred already now you saying putting down the revenge? Is there going to be a new character who's jesse's secret brother in The Last of Us 3 and let's say wanna get revenge? You know, the Asian guy Abby killed so she can beat up and forgave Ellie or Ellie doesn't like him because of his race. Ironically, What did Neil say on Twitter again?

    The purpose of the game maybe is trying to tell people that revenge is bad, is a dead cycle that will bring down your life, but it doesn't make any sense. Will you kill a hundred people just to kick your foe's ass? I surely no.

    Joel's death is another nonsense. He killed so many people but doesn't care about someone come for him and say his and his brother's real name to a bunch of strangers, who have guns and apparently more number then them, in the middle of a tiny room. How careful he is in the apocalypse world.

    An incredible experience marred only by some pacing in the tail end of the story. Naughty Dog takes some big risks here and I feel they paid off. By the end I felt as broken as the main characters did but very much in the way that the devs intended. This game will stay with me and I suspect it will take a few play throughs before I can full pick apart the whole thing.

In my first 9 hrs as I travel to Seattle i was so sad. I miss Joel. I dont like Dina to be with me. I want Joel. Why did you kill Joel, the main character??? My perspective at that point was really cloudy. But after finishing the whole game i saw what Naughty Dog did and it was brave, bold, and (for me) brilliant. I have never been immersed this much in a game. This was the first time that after 9 days of finishing the game i was still sad. I cant play other games. I was so depressed. This game is so powerful. Moving af.

    Other factors such as gameplay, sound, visuals. Totally 10/10. There are just some things that i didnt so like for me overall the game is a 9/10.    … Expand

    The graphics of this game are incredible! I was so captivated by the moving story and the intense fight scenes. Naughty Dog and all the cast did an excellent job on his game! I highly recommend! Currently on my 3rd play through. Still love it as much as the 1st. 10/10 would recommend.

    When I played the original The Last of Us it was one of the most fun & exciting gaming experiences I had ever had. In recent years, I have replayed the original game twice and enjoyed it again each time. Needless to say I was really looking forward to Part 2. For me it was a disappointment of epic proportions. I strongly suggest you save your money.

    I can't remember the last game that I have given a solid 10, and I certainly can't remember the last game that pulled me like this and held me tight for 30 some hours. It's a risky story, it really is. It should not work, but somehow it managed to be the best overall game I have ever played. It may be easy to overlook if you're not paying attention, and I can see how it would be easy to hate if you're coming into the game off of the review bomb from the trolls early on. Ellies decisions are stupid at times, but in the world Naughty Dog has developed, she's a human. Her mistakes are human mistakes, and those imperfect actions are what breathe life into the story.

    The story by the way, was a masterpiece. I never knew what would happen next. From jumping perspective from character to character, and hopping back and forth through time, they do everything they can to tell the story the best they can. It's very unconventional, and I can understand how it would feel off-putting to some people, but it felt like a progression to the way we tell stories in video games. It always felt like I was just a person stumbling through a world that was alive. They put a lot effort into making the story come alive by the way, so much that the people in factions you face off against have names, and if you kill one in the middle of a conversation, they will yell out that persons name in a panicked way. There's even a block of the story where you get to explore an entire city and search for secrets all over. They really make the world felt lived in.

    I loved this game and if you want to see what it is all about, I recommend you give it a play. Oh and by the way, we learned Ellie was into girls in the Left Behind DLC in 2014. Get over it.    … Expand
