    남들은 망겜이다 뭐라들 하지만 나는 이렇게 기술적으로 완성도 높고 경이로운 수준의 연출로 재밌게 플레이한 게임이 없었음. 스토리도 아쉬운 부분이 없진 않지만 수긍할 수 있는 수준이고 참신한 시도도 좋았음. 그리고 나름 이 겜임이 평화와 반전의 메세지도 담고 있어서 좋았음!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The signature writing that made The Last of Us well known is no where to be found. Choosing to deconstruct the story of the original for the sake of shock value, you can tell what Naughty Dog was aiming for, but missed by a mile. As the characters from the first game make one uncharacteristic decision after another (that usually ends in their demise) the game rushes in a slew of new characters that the story gives the player no motivation to care about. The pacing feels so bad that it often comes off as comedically derivative. Even the final scene of the game, which is intended to be dramatic, plays off as an episode ending puncline from Curb Your Enthusiasm (I half expected the theme to play as it cut to credits.) The gameplay is slightly improved from the first, but if you didn't love it in the original, you're going to spend the last 10 hours of the game begging for it to end.
    The only positive things I really have to say is that the environments and level designs are very pretty and flow well overall.    … Expand

    I really loved the first game , I was a big fan of it. Which is all the more reason as to why I can't forgive this disgusting "sequel".     No character development , beloved characters are treated like worthless beings , and the game contradicts it's own ideologies with a disgusting unsatisfying conclusion.
    And the false advertising was really shady too ,using Joel to advertise the game then treating him like a dog was a really disgusting thing to do.

    Who is the intended audience of this game ? Clearly it's not the fans of the original.

    And yes the game is full SJW agenda even when it goes against realism (like abby's body).You can't have a body like that as a woman in a post apocalyptic world , without steroids ,and A LOT of food.Character designs are supposed to be likable ,making beautiful characters isn't sexist , it makes them appealing to the players , hollywood does the same while hiring actors , they hire people with good looks , because they are appealing.

    How did those critics give it a 10? Just how ? At least now I am never buying a game that has anything to do with c u c k man from now on. Still , I am really disappointed from what happened to a franchise that I once loved.

    If you are like me, you played The Last of Us Part 1 way back during it's release on the PS3. The game had stunning graphics, great sound, good gameplay, but the things that made it one of the best games on the platform was the beauty of the level designs and above that the magnificent storyline involving two of main characters with their struggle to survive and make sense of the world.If you are like me, you played The Last of Us Part 1 way back during it's release on the PS3. The game had stunning graphics, great sound, good gameplay, but the things that made it one of the best games on the platform was the beauty of the level designs and above that the magnificent storyline involving two of main characters with their struggle to survive and make sense of the world. That recipe landed it the game of the year back then on the PS3 and then again on the PS4 when it was released as a remastered version which I also bought. I had two TLOU1 copies total spanning two systems. That was just how good it was. Fast forward to today and to Part 2 of this iconic game. Let's start with what it got right from the recipe of the old game. GRAPHICS and Level Design: Like the first, Part 2 continues on stunning displays of the environment. No complaints there. SOUND: Again, it is on par with the first. GAMEPLAY: This is for the most part on par again with the first with a few additions to make exploring more realistic thus giving it a slight edge. Sadly, from here on out it is downhill. Way downhill... STORYLINE: I enjoyed the game for about 2 hours into it. Then IT happens. Death is understandable in a game with an apocalyptic setting. It can be sad but still illicit a positive experience to the player. Flashback to FF7 when Aerith meets the grim reaper with an 8 ft blade. It was traumatic yet it didn't leave a horribly bad aftertaste by the end of the game. In TLOU2 though, it felt unnecessarily rushed. Like someone couldn't wait to get rid of one of the characters. Then to make matters worse, you have to play as the character who ended such a beloved one from the 1st game. The theme of revenge is done relatively like any other game or movie before, and it doesn't really make the player feel much excitement to see what happens next. It starts becoming boring and predictable. At least until the end where they throw you another curve ball to ruin yet another character from the 1st game. You're left with a sense of what was the point of all of this? In the 1st game, you had a clear goal. The twists and turns to reach it all fit together nicely, until the end where they also throw you a curve ball to the story. But unlike the 1st where there was a purpose to the actions that led to the end, in Part 2 the player is left with a strong feeling to scream "WTF was the point of all this!?". The story is severely flawed. The ending leaves you with nothing, and worse it tarnishes the legacy and choices made by the end of the 1st game.… Expand

    You kill Joel and let someone spit on his dead body... thats nuts. I used to look forward to the cut scenes which were refreshing between all the killing. Now, playing LOU2 feels like my body is rejecting a long awaited transplant.

    Its technically a good game no question but the bit that made is special and memorable for me has been ripped out.    … Expand

    This game was amazing. The story was very mature and requires empathy to view the story from the perspective of everyone involved. The Gameplay is great but the controls will take a while to adjust too but once a few encounters are completed then you will be right at home.

    I got so depressed after watching the scene where Joel get murdered by the equivalent of a **** goomba I had to stop playing for 3 hrs. It's SO BAD. It's not even on the same level as TLOU storywise. It's not so much the fact he died, it's HOW AND WHY. Senseless. What a waste of a character.

    Both RDR games showed us how to properly kill off a main protagonist, and those deaths are poignant, meaningful, and actually done WELL. This was disrespectful to Joel's character and the fans as far as I'm concerned.

    I can understand killing off your protagonist if it's done in service of the story, but I can't condone this in the manner in which it happened was just plain distasteful. This was clearly done on purpose for shock value to hurt the fans, nothing more. There's nothing deep or profound about **** like this. Do they think this portrayal makes women, gays or any of the people they're trying to pander to look good? Size of the ocean, depth of a puddle.

    This game is pure hatred towards fans who enjoyed TLOU. It feels VERY personal and I'm disgusted with ND atm. WHAT IS THIS? WHO IS THIS FOR?! I HATE this game. This is just a bunch of toxic hate mongering bull**** by so-called "oppressed" social justice weirdos.

The gameplay brings hardly anything new to the table with the exception of a jump and prone feature and some environmental mechanics which feels overall lazy and uninspired given the development time. The visuals are nice and very satisfying for 2020 standards but are hardly as groundbreaking as corrupt reviewers areThe last of us part 2 is a disgrace and an insult to fans of the first. The ending is a disgusting disservice to the efforts of the player and leaves beloved characters in a depressing and hopeless scenario whilst characters hated by the fan base are set up for a sequel. The writers did not found more interesting than a revenge story. And the story in this game count for about 70% of the game. It is what you keep move on in the game. I think they failed to tell a good story.

    Avoid this game at all costs if you enjoyed Part 1. This is a bastardization of the characters you knew and loved. There are long and boring areas and several hours with nothing to do at all except search hoping to advance the story. But trust me on this, you don't want to advance the story. You want to request a refund immediately.

The technical stuff is there, graphics-wise it feels like a 2020 game, but oh god, the story is so badly written and full of social and politic agenda It makes you wonder why Bruce Straley left the studio 3 years ago when this was in development and Sarkeesian became a consultor for the game.

    In attempt to explore my feelings about the game I did another playthrough, but everytime I went to unravel a thread I thought I had seen I found nothing but solid rope.
    I never managed to justify my initial impression, in fact I found that the game is actually exceptionally well written and directed..

    I feel like it my initial reaction might have had something to do with the inconsistent nature I view characters I'm playing as opposed to when I'm watching characters on tv. They are obviously characters and they have completely separate motivations from me and will make choices I would not but when you are playing as a character that isn't wildly different from you and they make reasonable choices in games you get to feel like you are the character, so when the character then begins to makes choices outside the bounds of what I would have chosen there is some level of cognitive dissonance there. This means I had to learn to watch Ellie just simply as a character and not entangle myself in her choices. In addition there were some choices the character made that actually were consistent with ones I would have made, because of an unhealthy obsession with reaching a goal that predictably lead to some bad consequences and that didn't feel good.

    Edit: Thinking it through, I really feel it stems from the ending of the first game. Remembering back to my first reactions to it I rather disliked being forced to kill one of the last remaining doctors in that world but in the years since, I've forgotten the worst acts of Joel and since it's muddled with me "being" Joel and knowing Joel is at heart a good person I've built up stories and psychological defenses to justify the acts. This game destroyed those defenses and I didn't want to admit that in a way, as Ellie, I was ultimately chasing after myself.

    I still love Joel though, as a character that had to make a horrible choice that I in some sense can understand and doesn't ultimately boil down to black and white, evil or good.. Just **** up..

    As a final note, I would recommend that you pay attention to what is going on in Ellies journal. I didn't really understand why Ellie and Dina where even a thing before I read in there that they have known eachother for years and Ellie clearly had a crush on her from before. This might be the only major weakness I found, it's fairly subjective though, others might just accept that they seem in love and are good together but for whatever reason I just didn't find it very believable before I read those journal entries.    … Expand

    I love the game because it subverts my expectations, me hating the story and characters is the way is supposed to be. Neil Druckmann is a genius for making me feel frustrated, angry and shocked at the game, us hating the game is intended in a, not so subtle way but ends up being so deep, so sublime, so exceptionally stunning and brave. 10/10

But those aren't the reasons why you buy The Last of Us games. The story is horrible. The death of Joel was handled so poorly. It was needlessly vicious and brutal and this is from someone who plays Doom. Not long ago Bungie killed off Cayde-6, a very beloved character, but they did it well, with respect to the fans and the character. What Naughty Dog did with Joel and the pointless revenge story after, is just bad. Don't waste your money. Preorder the new Paper Mario game or the upcoming Destiny 2 Beyond Light.… Expand

Is there ANYTHING about this game that i feel would make me want to go through "playing" it again? would i recommend it to someone who might enjoy it even if i didn't? sadly the answer to both of those questions is no. The Last Of Us Part 2 is poorly written, with no significant gameplay changes, but above all is simply not a pleasant experience to slog through.     I don't think there's really much I need to say considering most people on this site reviewing this game have said a lot of it already, and there has been a lot of denial and hate coming from people making positive reviews to those that are more critical and care about this game a lot.     While the last of us part 2 delivers on the graphical front, and in its diversity and improvements in gameplay customisation and mechanics, it certainly does not on the story, it fails to give its respective fans and and it's universe a place where things really feel grounded, and does not deliver satisfying in-game objectives or a narrative that is enjoyable and understandable, if its goal was to try and get me to stop playing, then it fulfilled its purpose, because I wasn't impressed or pleased, bearing in mind I tried to keep an open mind to all of the narrative decisions, god forbid you have a good story in a quite literally story-driven game. A lot of the choices seem to be made for the purpose of creating conflict and trying to get an emotional rise out of the player in order to emphasise it's message of "revenge", but only falls head first on itself. It doesn't respect it's established universe, and doesn't care what the previous game had put in place, and it doesn't give itself time to develop, it feels like it ends before it has time to even begin. Therefore, it neither shows respect for its viewers nor characters, which I think is an understatement considering the events that take place in this game. I won't be listing any spoilers or any other reasons as to why that's the case, but I'm afraid I really cannot recommend this game. It's not just disappointing, or angering, it's honestly just sad, and not because it just didn't go how some had imagined or wanted, but because I don't think the people behind the game itself even knew what they wanted, or were even trying to communicate or accomplish with this game, it remains a mess through and through. If you're playing the game for gameplay and mechanics, then I certainly can recognise the improvements and recommend those specific parts, the same goes for graphics too as mentioned in the beginning of this, but story, is and will remain in its same awful and poorly written state, and I do not recommend it for those looking to get the deserved sequel of The Last of Us 2.    … Expand

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
