    Excellent continuation from tlou 1, dunno why people rated it low, incredible graphics for a almost 8 year old PS4, amazing what naughty dog did with this hardware.

    I loved the story! Don't listen to the hate, the game mechanics were perfect, story was captivating about what humans do in desperate situations. It makes you think about whether or not vengeance is really worth it in the end.

    This game exceeded all my expectations. The atmosphere, the narrative, the gameplay mechanics. Such a well rounded game with a diverse cast and a very telling story on the consequences of revenge

    Fantastic sequel, every bit as good as the first. I have no idea what game players who are giving poor reviews actually played, but it couldn't have been TLOU2. This is a must play without a doubt.

    The story of the first game has been done before. But it is done so well. The script and the acting were incredible.

    The sequel is the same but maybe even better.

    First off though the graphics are incredible. The game does what Naughty Dog does best. Every environment is cluttered. There's no boring empty spaces. Every inch of the environment is thought out. The story telling from the environments sequential art is unparalleled. The animations again are better than any other. The way the characters interact with their surroundings. Not other studio does it this well.

    The gameplay is near perfect. The shooting, stealth and exploring mechanics are practically the same as in the first just tweaked to play better. There are 3 main additions to the gameplay though that make the game feel different to its predecessor. First is the prone button. A much needed manoeuvre for this type of game. Second is the dodge button. It perhaps makes things a little easy but it makes up for that by being amazingly satisfying. Third is the ability to quickly squeeze through gaps during conflict. This is something I see many games taking inspiration from going forward. Where it does fall apart slightly is the few glitches or AI not acting how it should. But name a game that's never had a glitch.

    Back to the story.

    SPOILERS FROM HERE ON OUT!!!

    Killing off a main character is so prevalent in TV shows and movies nowadays. So why is it such a big deal cause this game has?

    The game takes you everywhere emotionally. Happy, sad, angry but most importantly uncomfortable.

    Making you play as a character that eventually kills Joel is just a kick to the crocth. And that's part of the games genius I think. It constantly annoys you with its decisions. But it's done so well you can't help but be in awe of it. The way Joel is killed at first angers and disappoints you. You think "really? That's how it goes down?". It's only later on do you understand how good.it is. One of the three major things talked about the first game is an even bigger deal than we thought. Joel killing the innocent doctors at the end. It comes back to haunt him. And the player. You hate Abby for what's she's done. And you're fully onboard with Ellie's revenge. Until a crazy and risky Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty style character switch. You think you're nearing the end of the game (both narratively and because of the length of the first installment of the franchise) but then it does a huge switch up. You're only half way through the game and now playing through the timeline of the game that have already happened but through Abby's perspective. And at first it's unwelcome. How could Naughty Dog do us dirty like that again? It doesn't feel right playing as Abby. You hate her. But then... You start to understand. You start to sympathise with Abby, even like her. Even root for her. That might be a narrative done before. But it is near perfect in its excitation. And that's what sets it apart.

    The closest thing I can think of this happening to a well known character is Jaime Lannister. Overall I can't state how could this game is. It is a masterpiece. It is an example of why games absolutely can be art and not just entertainment. And it's one of my favourite pieces of art I have ever had the pleasure of consuming.

    It might not be my favourite game of all time. I can't make my mind up. But if you wanna argue that it is the greatest game of all time, I don't feel like I have anything valid to argue with you against it.

    Too bad they buried a very good game. Unfortunately it is impossible to make a refund as in steam, I am very disappointed, not sure if I can go through the game to the end. I am a very strong fan of the first part and probably went through it more than 12 times, but the second part is a shame. Boring is not an interesting story, but SJW activists will be happy with 10/10.

Generic survival horror gameplay with barely any thought that was put into puzzles, story is utter garbage & basically a middle finger to the fans of the first game, all that to push their woke narrative, Naughty Dog used to be one of the best devs what happened?     Если не привязываться к персонажам первой части и принять то, как они переосмыслили её содержание, а так же то, что сделали с персонажами, игра очень вероятно зайдёт вам!
    Во первых TLOU2 не разу не скучная, всё время пробивает на эмоции за счёт сюжета и грамотной режиссуры. Геймплей просто невероятный! В основном из за больших локаций, а так же    Я прошёл и заверяю, что игра отличная!

    Главный минус как по мне это структура. Я бы сделал игру короче, тогда она была бы куда насыщеннее и более понятна сюжетно (Проблему структуры сложно объяснить без спойлеров. Скажу так, вы дважды будете ждать концовки, но игра не закончиться и будет идти ещё долго, а ты уже хочешь посмотреть финал, тебе интересно!).
    В общем игра шикарна, если не проходить её на ютубе и ожидать того, что первая часть будет переосмысленна.
    Достойное ли это продолжение первой части? НЕТ! Первая TLOU была хороша сама по себе и ей не нужно было продолжения!

    Shame on Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog for butchering the last of us, I fully completed the game and the whole story is utterly unbearable bad... With unlogical choices from the main characters. Technically game play and creativity the best I have played, but whoever came up with the story needs a golf club to the head.

    Playing through this game is a tense, harrowing experience. Without going into spoiler territory, bold decisions were made in the telling of this story - it's a testiment to Naughty Dog's skill that they attempted it and, overall, pulled it off.

Story wise, you'll see shocking things happen to mire any well told novel or film, but in an age where video games have lacked a source of complex and ultimately frightful storytelling it will either stay with you long after you finish the lengthy campaign or leave you with a disdain for the franchise. Either way you look at it, it's quite telling of the path the writers have taken to differentiate their product from the rest and personally it's a home run. In terms of presentation, The Last of Us 2 is a monster. The graphics are by far the best I've witnessed on any platform, even if the PC is my personal choice. Character animations, level detail, facial expressions - it's the combination of outstanding technical direction and art style. The voice acting is absolutely top-notch and the music in certain scenes heartbreaking. Presentation wise, The Last of Us 2 is a perfect product. Gameplay remains largely the same as the first, with some nice improvements to add variety to the game like the ability to jump and swim. They're not groundbreaking by any means and sticks a bit to closely to the formula, but it feels enjoyable thanks to the many great action set pieces. I would have loved to see the gameplay evolve a lot more, but what's here is still great.

    Overall: The Last of Us 2 features fantastic gameplay moments that alongside its presentation will mesmerize you to its world. Its story will be a hit or miss for many as it takes some realistic approaches that in the real world make sense, but in a market where the majority may not be used to gripping story-telling similar to other forms of media, it will rub a lot of people the wrong way. And in a way, I wouldn't have it any other way.    … Expand

With story my two biggest complaints are a few cheap tricks (that only undermine the story) and the placement of chapters (what I mean is that first you play half of the game as Ellie and then suddenly the rest is almost only Abby) which makes you forget about others characters for a bit. I think it would have been much better if they played chapter chronologically. To be honest through most of the game I though about giving it an 8/10, but for me ending is so good and powerful that it elevates it easily. Also it's important to mention that you'll enjoy this game much more if you experience it not as Ellie, but rather as a person who knows (and loves) Ellie and is just an observer watching her fall into grief.… Expand

    This game impacted me more than any piece of media ever has. It completely and utterly broke me and challenged me. I ended up in a spot I didn’t know I could be or even wanted to be in the beginning but by the end it won over. It’s has consumed my thoughts since I beat it. This game requires all of you.

    My 8 year old son would come up with more interesting and engaging story/narrative. It's basically the same level as GoT s8 or Star Wars Rise of the Skywalker.. The game that main point's the story, isn't even delivering on that front. Sad.

    Very beautiful graphics and sound design but that is all to the game. Story doesn't make any sense and characters are very unlikable, which is suppose to be the main part of the game. But instead it discredit its value. I was also very disappointed, because they ruined Ellie's and Joel's story. IMHO they destroyed the franchise.

    Absolute trash, this game is the worst game i have ever played. Neil Druckmann is completely delusional. DON'T BUY THIS GAME!!!! We all deserve better including LGBTQ+ . I think it’s strange of sony/naughty dog, to be pro trans but make a trans character that everyone will hate. seems like maybe they are trans phobic themselves but hide it under virtual signalling

Я восхищён титаническим трудом разработчиков и говорю им огромное спасибо за их труд.

    Говорят, что геймплей скучный и однообразный. Но он, по сути, тот же, что был и в первой части, только доработанный и разбавленный новыми фишками. Мне понравился, т.к. я акцентировал внимание на истории.
    P.S.: Познакомиться с серией меня подтолкнул невероятный хайп по поводу разочарования проектом огромной аудитории игроков. Просто решил проверить и оказалось, что я категорически не понимаю это большинство. Не следуйте за массами, имейте своё мнение!    … Expand

    Ok a nivel jugable el juego es espectacular, la verdad me puso en situaciones en las que extrañaba mucho eso del 1, la inteligencia artificial no es de las mejores que que eh visto pero está fantástica.

    Ok , no tengo tanto problema con el guión del juego, pero no me cabe en la cabeza la parte en la Joel acepta ir con Abby a su guarida cuando Joel es la persona más desconfiada de la tierra, ok bueno lo otro es que te obligan a usar a Abby forzosamente casi todo el juego lo cual me parece torturante, personalmente logré entenderla a ella, este juego te enseña que para unos alguien puede ser su héroe pero para otros no, pero carajo matar a Joel de una forma tan forzosamente? A história é simplesmente horrível, mas foi isso que os desenvolvedores quiseram nos passar, e foi feito com maestria.     Certes après deux heures de jeu on assiste à la mort de Joël, une mort qui m'a bouleversé tant j'aime ce personnage. Pourtant j'ai appris à apprécier et vraiment aimer Abby.
    Abby a ruminée sa vengeance pendant des années et s'est finalement vengée, elle a tuée Joël c''est vrai mais elle n'a tuée que lui alors qu'Ellie a tuée tout le monde sur son passage.
    La fin est d’ailleurs équivoque.... Abby, après avoir été épargnée par Ellie s'enfuit avec Lev et Ellie se retrouve seule, quittée par Dyna et son fils à cause de sa soif de vengeance.

    This game decides to destroy an excellent game series in the name of "progressive" themes. Identity politics meets poor storytelling. I only have it a 1/5 because I was worried that a 0/5 would not be counted.

    My new favourite game of all time tied with God of War PS4. After finishing The Last of Us Part II all other games feel hollow. Eclipses the first game in every way. Highly recommended,

    All I am going to say that when it comes to the actual gameplay, It's more of the same. They really didn't do anything to refine it. The shooting is still clunky as hell, the stealth is still pretty basic The melee combat is the same. The animations are better but that's about it really. If you liked the combat you'll like this.     Graphically the game is gorgeous. Hands down the best looking game on PS4. Enivironments are beautiful and lush. The world building is fantastic.

I didn't care about any of them. Including the main characters. The story is just so poorly written and full of plot holes. the main characters just...do things that make no sense. Throughout the whole game I was just scratching my head thinking...."why did she do that?"

    The first game had a unique story with likable characters. This.....is just a total departure from all of that.

    Joel gets killed and spit on by a female moments after he saved her life. You are then suppose to play 10 hours of her and learn her backstory (no thank you) and then go after and try to kill Ellie.
    The story would have been somewhat ok if they just rearranged the whole story and have had a much more cronological order.

    The Ellie flashbacks are really good and is on of the few things that make this game somewhat ok.

    Playing as Debby quickly got boring and you had no incentive to try to find and kill Ellie, all meanwhile you are waiting for the story to continue where the cliffhanger left off.

    Don't buy, I didn't I just watched playtroughs and I felt like my time was pretty wasted.    … Expand

    Loved the story. It’s a deep dive into the psychology of two women who come from very different backgrounds and yet they’re lives intertwined and the parallelisms could not be more apparent. Big upgrade to the gameplay of Part I and we meet some interesting NPC’s along the way. Very much worth the play. Such an intense game, just wow.

If they made a part 2 I always wanted it to be a prequel showing the bad side of Joel those first beginning years of the outbreak. Needless to say Joel is my favorite character. Now I am used to characters dying because I am a game of thrones fan and I kinda appreciate what they were trying to do here but it just felt lacking. Joel deserve more even if your going to kill him off. There were some things I really liked about the game though. The graphics were sex an upgrade probably some of the best. I ever seen. To be honest. It felt as thought the mechanics didn't get much of an upgrade but its understandable because I don't know what else you could do.the puzzles really had me upset the ones in the first game were a lot better. I do like to have missons with the Joel and Ellie mechanic. Flaoting Ellie on pallets was nice and i liked the call back too it.     You will be shocked by the uncharacteristic decisions made by Ellie and Joel. You will be introduced to many good guys only for them to die without even a whimper. There is a sex scene that is the most distasteful thing I’ve seen in gaming in many years. You will play as the character that kills and tortures Joel. As Ellie you will kill many to reach said person only for Ellie to decide not to get revenge with no explanation given leaving a bad taste in your mouth. The game mechanics are fine but the story and all the senseless **** that happens will sour the whole experience. Very little replay ability. Naughty Dog should fire Neil Druckmann for wasting all our time. Many people waited for years with high expectations, but in fact after I played this one I realized all I wanted was to spend more time with Joel and Ellie, growing up and fighting the infected together. The ending of part 2 makes everything you did and loved about the first meaningless and a waste of time. There is no hope, no love, and no compassion. Joel saves Ellie only to be hated by her for it and dies a horrible death. It also must be said that Naughty Dog used a lot of bait and switch with their trailers, you are wrong to believe Joel is in this for any meaningful amount of time.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
