    trash game. don't buy this, buy the previous one instead. because Joel will die beaten by a golf club and after that, you will play a character who kills Joel (with a golf club of course).

    Acabe el juego, la jugabilidad nada que decir, la historia no llega al nivel que debía llegar, arruinaron lo que podria ser una verdadera obra maestra, una lastima pero bueno, no recomiendo que compren el videojuego al menos hasta que baje de 60 dolares, y creanme que bajara muy rapido.

    Joel gets dead, Ellie got her fingers bit and can't play the guitar and Abby is....how do I put it.....remember all the hate for jar jar binks,well let's just say jar jar is the best thing that ever happened to Star wars the prequel trilogy compared to what Abby is.
    Weak storyline,crap character development, if there is any and...... the graphics are nice...yep the graphics are real nice and I really mean it but once u look past the beautiful graphics all ur left with is a very depressing game and they only joy ur going to get out of it is taking the game back to ur local EB games and getting a full refund so u can spend the money on anything else that is not TLOU2!!! I'm planning on spending my refund on some sneaker,yep brand new Jordan's 6 but these sneakers will forever be connected to TLOU2 and no one deserves that! Lol!     Yeah, this is a perfect AAA game 2020. Bad story, a lot of plot holes, not interesting characters, many dumb and illogical monents, but graphics are really good. And this **** lasts thirty hours.

    This is just boring version of part 1. all the time doing the same thing, again and again. Dialogues are boring and feeling cringy. New characters are bad and totally to forget about. The ideas behind the game are just pathetic.

But man, the story is so dark for the sake of being dark, and the returning characters acts so differently from the previous game, i am so sure it's happens in a parallel but different dimension. Also with no satisfy ending, is like a movie that has beautiful cinematic but crappy plot. prefect for people who just want to play a beautifully crafted game and does not care about the story what so ever, otherwise is not worth the time or the money.… Expand

How can people rate this a 10. 1st of all, Joel has 20+ years of smuggling, he should know to fake his identity. But you throw that away and make him an idiot, Tommy too?? Like what were you guys thinking? Having Joel and Tommy the idiots of the game, disappointing. Joel should've known he was being led into enemy territory, example was in the first game where Joel knew he was being tricked by some hunter and ran him with the truck. 2nd of all was the false advertising, how disgusting is that. Tricking your fans, having our hopes high about Joel, then tricking us with flashbacks and Jesse. Naughty Dog, how can you make TLOU so good and come out with a sequel so bad??? 3rd and final, the way Joel died. A beloved character that WE FANS HAVE A WHOLE GAME WITH dies within 2hrs of the game to a chick that we don't care about and don't know. SERIOUSLY?? AND WE'RE FORCED TO PLAY HER AND FEEL SYMPATHY?     The Last of Us was my favorite game of all time. I played through the campaign 3 times. To say I am disappointed with this sequel is a massive understatement. I can't believe they did this to this game. Should be ashamed of themselves. Just terrible. And wow have the left wing games "journalists" been exposed over this one.

    Children criticized the game with comments in the spirit of: "The grass here is unrealistic and I didn't like the plot." This game has a very multi-faceted and adult plot. Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's bad.

Sat there forever trying to come to grips that I have to play this character just to wrap up the story. It's a struggle to get through that part just for "oh hey killing is bad guys" after murdering hundreds of people and... good bois. I can't bash in the skull of Joel's murderer? No choice just... nah. Game play is basically the same but no issue there. Graphics are exceptional if that's all you care about. 1 point just for great graphics and voice acting.… Expand

    It feels forced, it doesent feel natural. If you are trans/bisexual, so be it, but do not make a big deal out of it, as if its superior or any more noteworthy than a straight guy/girl.
    Actually you do not even have to mention it. It is absolutly meaningless for any sane person anyway, because it doesent mean anything anyway.

    With that said, lets begin and talk about whats really really problematic in this game.
    Its the inconsistancy of the characters. The characters do not behave the way from what we have learned about them in the first game. This is why the user gets the idea that the story is forced.
    When a story is forced and you sacrifice any logical character development for it (just to make a point), its only right to see a specific motive behind it that far exceeds the game itself alone. It is then influenced heavily by the authors "own view" no matter what came before it.
    Thats a death sentence for any book, story or whatever.

    The game itself plays like any other Naughty Dog that came before it. Many cutscenes, areas with a narrow path, heavily story driven. Unfortunatly the story is nothing worthwhile and i do not recommend it.    … Expand

    This Naughty Dog masterpiece should have a much higher rating than it is now. This is truly a masterpiece of game art, I am simply amazed: by the detail of the game world and the plot, GOD THIS GAME IS THE BEST IN WHAT I PLAYED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Only played this game for the story. The gameplay is alright but it's not the reason people play this game - otherwise there would be thousands of people playing TLOU1 multiplayer. Story was not well thought. Characters are just thrown under the bus and don't add to the story. Story was unrealistic and not anywhere near the first game. Whose idea was it to make it so bad?     Incredible atmosphere.

    Worst story in Naughty Dog's history by a landslide, which is particularly disappointing since the first Last of Us was one of the best stories I've ever experienced in any medium. Disappointing.

    I was so pumped for this stupid game... How did it go so wrong? I believe games and other media should challenge their audience and their beliefs, but if you're going to do that, you have to do it REALLY well. This game was not done well. The graphics are phenomenal, but graphics don't make the game, that's why it's not a zero.

The limitations of this game is very apparent mechanics wise and story wise it just doesn't make any sense. It pointlessly incites violence for the sake of it, then adds in feminist sjw agendas to it probably influenced by anita Sarkeesian.     I have waited so long for this game but all i got was a game with very good graphics and nice atmosphere. Apart from these things it is absolutely garbage. Character "development" is horrible and story pacing is **** Plus it seems to try pushing a certain agenda with all the trans and gay characters in it. I have the feeling Druckmann created a game not for the fans but himself.

    We waited 7 years for this trash, and we are welcome with Joel getting killed off by the very **** **** he saved just moments earlier. Not only that, we are FORCED to play as this character and actually sympathize with her. God knows nobody wants nothing to do with no **** Abby and nobody **** cares about her backstory - not when she downright murdered Joel with a golf club right in front of Ellie. The ending is trash and antithetical. We get no closure. No respect for Joel, or the first game. The gameplay and graphics are half decent but its all for nothing when you've got a **** of a 'story' to 'play' for.

It honestly feels like the critics scoring this game a 10/10 have a agenda which is beyond **** and should not be tolerated. Time to clean house of all the paid "critics" if you ask me.

    It's just one of those games in spite of the amazing graphics/gameplay, I couldn't even finish because in the end, I just didnt enjoy playing it. Maybe that's just me. Its obviously not as good as the first one.

Finally finished the game and I could not find the proper words to describe how disappointed and frustrated I feel with the way they wrote off a character like Joel, literally “dumbing” him down for the sake of just killing him, completely ignoring the lore and the character’s personality which was pretty well established in the first game. The ending is pointless and makes it feel like the whole game and story was for nothing. Terrible story, character development and execution.

    Although the graphics and game-play is good, but its destroyed by the story, destroy whole the franchise, give me a bad experience and disappointed. The character change (specially Joel) also unreasonable and deviate from part 1, its cannot acceptable. Also the game trailers scam and game director's attitude make me disgust and feel offended.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. TO EVERYONE LOOKING AT ALL THESE ZEROES THINKING THIS IS A HATE MOB - It is absolutely not. It is honestly people, like myself included, who quite frankly feel like they've been spat on by the writers, the developers and the game itself. Whilst I won't justify the zeroes, what I WILL justify is why this game at the very most deserves a five (even though I only want to give this a four). Why? Because the game looks beautiful and although the gameplay is a little dated and the extra mechanics feel a little forced, it's still fun to play. The rest is down to the story, and since this is a heavily story-driven game, let me tell you: it does not work. Not in the slighest.

    To start with, literally everything that happens in this game hinges off Abby's decisions. Stemming all the way from the first game where she is the one who suggests it's the right call to just do the operation on Ellie anyway without allowing Joel any input whatsoever whilst he is still recovering or letting Ellie know what's going to happen, which is what then causes Joel to go in and kill Abby's father. Then there's also an infamous scene with her killing Joel. She has absolutely zero remorse for what happens. She doesn't even stop to think for a moment to consider the fact that she actually would be dead without Joel at one point either, she's just this vessel of hatred. And this literally has nothing whatsoever to do with anything LGBTQ+, it is - as plainly as I can put it - a badly written character doing stupid things, watching other people die who went out of their way to help her cause and she have not any kind of reflection on it at all.

    This decision is what causes Ellie to then go out of her way to do horrible things, plenty of which is out of character for her and which even pissed me off because she was doing such stupid stuff, but all because Abby didn't like a certain character. Who, again, did what he did because he wanted Ellie alive and was the only person in that building in the first game who saw her as a human life. But then the game very blatantly starts to emotionally manipulate you: Ellie does all these horrible things, like killing dogs and a pregnant women (yes! how horrible!) because they're all she comes up against. Abby? Abby only ever pets dogs and has to fight against some weird cultish group of hateful people (I still can't fully remember what their motivations were but they were like the Hunters in the first). Notice how Ellie is only ever the one being forced into antagonistic situations whilst Abby is forced into the role of the good girl? There's no fight between either/or with the two, Ellie just fights innocent people and Abby just fights bad people. To me, that is the epitome of emotional manipulation. But it gets worse.

    The ending itself is what for me, totally falls flat on its face. EVEN IF you are able to justify Abby's actions at the start, whilst saying Joel had it coming, sure, fine, but what happens with Abby? Nothing. And I hear people even going "but Ellie didn't want to become Abby so that's why she didn't do what she did" and quite frankly that excuse is an utter load of tripe. You don't force Ellie to do what she did and THEN have her decide to take the moral ground just to spare a character. That is pathetic storytelling. If you're going to do an anti-revenge story like that, EVERY main character who exacts revenge needs to be punished for it. It seems they only ever wanted to punish Ellie for even thinking about exacting revenge, okay, fine. Abby, on the other hand? There's zero sense of remorse. Zero thought for the fact her own actions were literally what caused EVERYTHING in this game to happen. Zero compassion for Joel saving her life. It's poor. If you want to do a good anti-revenge story you should look at the Red Dead Redemption story, because even that allows you that sweet revenge whilst also then having the consequences catch up and it NOT feel like you've just had someone spit on your face and go "you're not allowed to retaliate to that because you're evil!"

    It's terribly written. Its own moral trips up on its own defence of a foolish, ignorant, spiteful character who I couldn't even force myself to like even just with her own moments in the game. And I'm not someone who has anything whatsoever against anything LGBTQ+ which is what quite a few of these review bombers here are for, but the character they had as the face of that agenda is just a **** person. There's no other words for it.

    I'm done with Naughty Dog. Druckmann himself said that he had an agenda to push in this. Well there you are, Druckmann... and funnily enough you've actually pissed off quite a large chunk of that group of people you were fighting to represent (I make no joke of this, ask most of those people who have actually played and finished this game).     Feels like a forever cutscene interrupted with the odd "Click X to pass" gameplay, characters are much more bland than in the first one, regardless of the political drama surrounding the game. Also would like to point out Naughty Dog's shady af practices with censoring negative takes.

It's really sad how ND made the sequel this bad, I mean, they forgot almost everything from the previous game, character development, argument, background story. Joel just died like a **** retard, MAN, he was so **** smart in the previous game and in this sequel he dies like "yeah i'm gonna trust everyone because suddenly all people become good a nice and I don't have to think bad things about them", and to be more specific, this game is place like 4 years after the previous game, so he become that useless just for the plot in 4 years, he went to be a survivor to a old senil stupid man without surviving abilities and all that he showed on the previous game. Ellie is the biggest deception on this game, her character development lacks of everything, I mean, she in the end does not kill abby because in fraction of second, he thought that revenge is a bad thing with a Joel flashback in it with no sense at all.

The whole story is made to subvert expectations, but it is done just for that sake, done very poorly. Joel dies for nothing, there are no good moments between him and Ellie. Nobody else important dies, but Ellie loses everything. It is sad just for the sake of being sad. The media wants to make it about gamers hating LGBTQ and women, but we don't care that certain characters are the way they are. We simply don't want that to be the focus, just like Ellie being lesbian wasn't the focus in the first game. The game was about Joel doing whatever it took to survive and protect Ellie. Part 2 should've been Ellie doing whatever it took to get revenge for Joel or Dina. Playing as Abby sucks, its the worst thing I have ever had and not wanted to do in a video game. Consider my expectations subverted. As I said, Joel dying is the only meaningful thing that happens, other than that Ellie just loses everything, and yeah it's sad. And killing Abby at the end wouldn't make up for that. There are plot holes in almost every main plot point, especially with the way Joel acts, and with Ellie too. I did not want to play the second half of the game, I didn't even want to play after Joel died because his death was meaningless, in the end, the whole "quest" was just for Ellie to lose even more. I don't know everything I'm feeling, but I know I am just sad. I can't cry over this anymore, and I take solace in the fact that others agree with me, and we know that this just doesn't make sense. 0/10, I am sorry for everyone that knows this exists, I know many of us wish it ended with the first game, and I think we truly can believe that it did, and this is just so absurd that we can realize it is simply a mistake, tainted by Neil Druckmann, and Anita Sarkeesian, not because there are women, lesbians, and (possibly) transgenders in it, but because it is not a part 2 of The Last of Us, it is a completely different monster that makes no sense, and focuses on the wrong issues of a post-apocalyptic world, and changes the characters in an unrealistic and borderline absurd way. Also, the false advertising through the trailers changing the ages of Joel and Ellie, and in one case replacing Jesse with Joel, is a pretty significant issue. Nobody deserved this, and once again, I am truly, deeply sorry, and saddened that this is the way it went. My heart is broken.… Expand

I cannot describe all the emotions that this game made me feel. The story had a drastic change compared to the first game, and many are criticizing this point, but, I believe that those who are giving this hate to the game, have not even finished the story. It's the best game of the generation, and the biggest release from Sony. Thank you NaughtyDog, for that masterpiece.

    In a "AAA" universe where so many game story's have a hard time making an impact on the player, I feel Naughty Dog might have gone to far with this one. All things we have grown to want and expect from AAA studios. Also, I can't enfisise this enough, the team that put their time into putting this game together deserve a lot of credit and I hope they continue to make games because they are truly dedicated to their craft. The bad parties I am sure exist at the top of Naughty Dog, the captions of the ship that know full well riding on the wave of the last game that this one would sell in spite of public backlash. With the knowledge they could get away with doing whatever they wanted this direction was a fowl move. Be warned, people are wising up to contrived storytelling and this will heart your other intellectual properties from here on out. This is no Fallout 76 failure but it is a Wolfenstein Youngblood without the polish issues Wolfenstein Youngblood has. Also big daddy Sony won't be their to pay off, or threaten the Critics forever. 40/100 is all I can give, TL:DR do something else with this 25 hours unless you like torturing yourself emotionally and mentally in an effort to finish a game just to feel bad for playing in the first place.… Expand
