Unfortunately, I could not play this game, and I had to go to my friend. we went through the game in 4 days, we spent 26 hours, and we think that this game is a masterpiece, it is not better than the first part (which I played), I read a lot of negative reviews and I think that gay propaganda is complete rubbish and False. I can’t understand why 1 kiss (okay 3) of two girls excited everyone so much.
    As for Joel, it's sad that we all miss him, but if he were alive, it would be a completely different game, so I really would not want to. Graphics, I don’t see any reason to say anything about this in order to find fault with the fact that the grass is unreal or that some characters twitched? oh well, I'm ready to play a terrible 2D game, if it has only a space plot. This game is not good or bad, it is a game about the so-called gray morality, where the game does not say who is good or bad, the game shows everyone from all sides, and the player, in turn, chooses who is who + the game shows that violence leads to even more violence, well, you know a tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye, and so the whole world can go blind.    … Expand

    Great plot, optimization (it take 3 seconds to load after death), graphic, attention to details. Amazing locations which are breathtaking. The plot is more ambitious than in part 1. You are no longer saving the world from "the bad guys" but it shows that the world is more complicated and for other people, you can be that "bad guy" even if you think that what you are doing is right.    … Expand

    The new pinnacle of story telling. Spectacular writing, voicework, character development, and art. It makes you feel. It might not be pleasant, there's fear, panic, and heartache but boy it makes you feel it.

    Perfection. Seriously. Anyone who criticizes the story is someone who needs a happy ending with rainbows and unicorns and has no reason to be playing this game. You will not be happy by the end of the game, I promise you, but that is the beauty of this. ND doesn't want to treat you like a child, so don't expect that. Go play animal crossing.

This game is just getting too much hate, feel that it is totally unfair ! it may not be according to everyone's preferences, heck even I was furious and angry at certain choices made in the game, but it does indeed make up to it in the end and delivers an emotional roller coaster of a story.The approach taken to deliver the narrationAmazing and Great !!!, it was an awesome experience !! Indeed this maybe controversial to people who prefer plain right good guys and villains, even I always wanted the good guys to always win, but this game makes you realize that humans are way more complicated than that. In my opinion, I loved the game and the ending, the feels(mostly happy and slightly sad, overall satisfied) still linger on to me two days after finishing the game, very few games do that, the soundtrack and visuals are top notch and really enforce the storytelling. So please before judging, play the entire game and decide it for yourself, just don't get into the hate bandwagon just because you heard some spoilers, and that you didn't like a particular events or story decisions through those spoilers.     Absolutely fantastic game. The story is better in the first one, but this still has a great story and it is told well. Not a perfect game, but all my complaints are small and nitpicky, nothing to drop a point. The details in the game are amazing, so many unique assets make every room feel unique. Definitely well worth playing.

    I think people really have to look at the bigger picture. Not every story has a happy ending and i think people should accept that. Not saying this game doesn't have its problems but it definitely does not deserve the hate it is getting.

    Great gameplay, even better writing and story, Naughty Dog does it again. The story isn’t how I would want things to be but I can appreciate the journey it took me and realize the masterful writing.

The story sucks they made a character (abby) that killed the chracter you love (joel). Which is fine you can still play as Ellie but the thing is they tried to make you hate Ellie for some reason like having Ellie kill dogs showing flashbacks of Ellie being a dick to Joel. And whats worse is they forced you to play Abby the character you hate and forced you to like her. Like i dont a give a damn about her father and friends he killed joel. And another stupid thing is when Ellie is traumatized by killing a pregnant lady like she killed a lot of people before that but no killing pregnant ladies draws the line. The characters that are killed are forgettable like manny and jesie its like they died and nobody cared. They got a few screen time and then poof they out of the story. Like they forced this dumb ass storyline to our throats.… Expand

    Good game. Everyone hates on it just bc of Joel and it angers me that they didn’t even play the rest of the game. People are too one-sided and can’t even accept change or reality.

First of all I have to do an Review for that because I can understand why ppl are angry about the decision what ND did in the characters design and in the Story. The big BUT is that is the goal in this game to make you angry to feel the same what the characters feels to great an character like Abby is all about it to make some ppl angry. People are fearing what is not normal. Abby is an Charakter I have to fight with me because I cannot understand her motivations to be like a strong woman (Man) this Charakter could be also a man and the whole story would work also with the sex scene. That Charakter it out of place it not polished she feels forced in the game with a better storytelling about her motivation to be like a strong woman or be like a man maybe I wouldn’t think about it so much. The whole problem about emancipation is that women’s doesn’t want be a strong women the want to be like a man and lose their whole identity to be an women and that is what Abby is a man. When that is Abbys feeling I’m fine with that but then it should be more an topic in the game to be act like it is normal ND doesn’t have to make to an topic and we player won’t understand why she is like that is bad character design.

    But why I give that game an 10/10 because like I said the story would work also with other characters. For me was that game a emotional rollercoaster. I played it on survivor. The game is challenging on the difficulty I died a lot of dead’s with exploring almost every place I beat the game in 33h and i think for the platinum I need 15 more hours. The level design an master piece so many little details I have never seen in a game. The whole world looks so real an realistic an a life great work. The Acting and the Charakteranimation looks so realistic that I have to think about that is not a real movie.
    The game mechanics and the Charakter AI is much better then in the first game on survivor I had a lot of fun to think about with the lack of resources to fight an overpowered enemy. The Blood an violence is also one of the best what I have seen you really can feel the pain and what you have done with your tools to other humans like you.

    The Storytelling is on of the best what I have played so fare. Like I said emotion roller coaster. The perspective change from different characters is a good choice to feel the pain and the love from every character. I really can feel Abbys feelings (not or motivation about her identity) and Ellis feelings and there wasn’t only blood what flows in the game also my tears.


    Thank you ND I love you for that Game experience I will talk and think about it for Years like with the first game. Pls when ND decided do make Charakter with a other sexual or body identity then pls explain why we player can understand it and can more fit in the perspective of that character most of the ppl don’t know that feelings or why the are like that so for that ppl would it be great to tell them why.    … Expand

I started the game with a neutral mind ( I knew people were upset about something before it even launched but I ignored because dure to spoilers and I didn't watch any reviews). After a few minutes, I knew this experience will be special and after beating it, I can confidently say that this game deserves the 10/10 rating. Story, gameplay, visuals, sound design andA Masterpiece of a game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Marvelous gameplay, design audio, etc. The storyline was real and grounded. Anyone who thought Joel was going to get a happy ending was naive. Violence begets violence, you cant kill as many people as you did and stop the invention of a cure that would save millions and not expect backlash. Joel sealed his fate long before and made peace with his decision. I think that made his death more honorable especially in a post-apocalyptic world. I love that Naughty Dog showed two sides to one story it really just showed every character in a different light so we could see them for all that they are (not so we could judge them, rather just understand them) Seeing the lengths Ellie would go to for revenge was disheartening because you see that it eats up at a person from the inside. There were parts in the story where I didn't want to follow Ellie anymore on her quest for vengeance for her own sake. I'm glad that when she finally forgave Abby and got the closure that she needed. Its just so sad to see what the path of vengeance cost. Especially when Ellie couldn't play that tune that Joel taught her in the end. I think a lot of people were hoping for this second game to be fan service and im glad naughty dog didn't go that route. The Last of Us Part 2 isn't its predecessor and doesn't need to be; it is a great game.… Expand

    Tlou2 is a very strong emotionally driven game with indepth detail of the characters story. No punches are held back when it comes to shock value that happens in a split second and raw emotion portrayed at its finest and darkest.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. this game is amazing. hands down. don’t believe the score bombers and the bad takes. play it yourself and make up your own mind, but know that this game is a beautiful, complex, and nuanced successor to the first game. tlou2 takes a very hard, bleak look at humanity at first, since it’s a game integral on survival at all costs, in a brutal world that is no longer nor will ever be the same. that means everyone will do what it takes, sometimes at the cost of others, but they each have their own motives, agendas, histories. this game shows that while things are violent and cruel, there is also deep passion and love and beauty to be found, too, even in the people you think you’re supposed to hate. many of these bad reviews just cannot grasp the thought that ellie, grown up from the first game, turned out like everyone else she’s ever known, and that means vindication and revenge and just human cruelty. this game makes you angry, makes you cry, makes you happy and torn and just in wonder at everything. the sceneries are amazing, and a world overtaken with 25 odd years of plant growth and decay, are just astounding. games have come so far with the visual effects and lighting and sound and action, and tlou2 is the prime example of mastery in the craft. please play this game. guard your heart a little, but make no assumptions about the story or the characters. it’s all handled beautifully, and i really believe this game is one of the best.… Expand

I was a bit hesitant at first after reading all the reviews, but I really enjoyed the experience. I think killing Joel was a bit extreme, but it really helped us feel the anger that Ellie felt. The ending could’ve been better, so I hope we get some Abby closure in some sort of DLC where Tommy goes after Abby or Dina goes to look for Ellie or something like that.… Expand

However, the experience doesn’t ask thatThe Last of Us Part 2 is a brutal, beautiful, often gut-wrenching look into the world of revenge and pain. The story presented is one that ask the player to think deeper about the violent acts most video games have play out with little meaning and consequence. There are narrative choices within this game that will undoubtedly ruffle some feathers. However, the experience doesn’t ask that you sympathize with every character along the way as much as it ask you to understand the meaning behind their actions. Our protagonist, Ellie is someone who isn’t without flaws and shortcomings but is a great representation for all the characters in this game in that they’re people trying to survive in a world that despite being unbelievable is portrayed in a very real light. She’s not one note but rather complex and thought out. The same can be said for most of the characters within the game. The story and it’s themes are without question one of (if not the) most daring ever put to the screen. The gameplay is responsive, visceral, quick and plays out with some of the most intensely satisfying action set pieces seen within the video game sphere. Some have said it is repetitive and to that I can only say that during my personal play through I found each encounter was filled with an array of options, tactics, and ideas I couldn’t wait to integrate. The gameplay won’t let you slack as the enemies are some of the most impressive ever seen; they communicate, are lethal, and the player has to think quickly to make it out of every battle. The graphics are unprecedented. The time spent capturing scenes, sets, atmospheres, etc. was plentiful and always worth it. There were more than a few times in which I simply had to stop to take it all in. I will always remember the first time I played though this game because It marks a true change in what I thought was possible graphically. All that being said, I write this as someone who idealistically doesn’t agree with every creative decision and character along the way. But from an objective standpoint the overall experience offered by The Last of Us Part 2 is one that without question is a brilliant, masterclass in video game design. At the end of the day, this Is a game that is breaking new grounds on every front: story, characters, gameplay, graphics, etc. I advise anyone and everyone to give it a try if able, regardless of any pre conceived notions or leaks. The Last of Us Part 2 is nothing short of a true masterpiece.… Expand

    Besides the obvious — that is, graphics are phenomenal, the dynamics of the franchise continues to be engaging, the soundtrack is amazing leaving you tense like a apocalypse should —, this game goes beyond anything expected because of its plot.
    It is so well developed that I find myself feeling at a loss of words for it, like anything I would say, it    This game is simply a masterpiece.

    It is so well developed that I find myself feeling at a loss of words for it, like anything I would say, it would make it no justice.

    First of all, it shows us that in a war, there is no right or wrong, no war is a justified war. All sides are cruel. All sides loses (not only their people, but their very own humanity). It talks about fascism, religion fanaticism, it talks about sexuality, includes different ethnicities (and particularly, as an asian myself, I was very pleased with fellow asian characters).

    But Naughty Dog must’ve felt that wasn’t enough: I have never, in my life, felt so many emotions while playing a game. And not only that, how the game managed to lead my emotions exactly how it wanted to, the way it wanted to. And not just one at a time. A big ball of mixed emotions all together and bursting. I felt love, sadness, anger, empathy, compassion, horror to human cruelty... all apart and together at the same time. And because we, as players just watching those experiences, feel like that, we can understand how big of a mess must be the characters emotions, because theoretically they are living it. And besides all that, the human relations this game has built are so well put together and truly feel genuine. There’s no such thing as black and white. Right ou wrong. Perfect hero or monstrous villain. I lost track how many times my emotions were so all over the place that I actually cried (and not that rolling-down-cute-tears kinda crying, it was the ugly-cry kinda crying). Or how many times I was literally with my mouth open.

    If it were possible to nominate a game to Oscar, I think The Last of Us Part II would deserve to be nominated. This go beyond the gaming world. This is truly a masterpiece. To be able to play it, it was an experience I’m sure I will cherish forever.    … Expand

    The game was not as good as the first part but still a must-play for last of us fans. i enjoyed every bit of this game when it comes to gameplay and cut scenes. The story was the only downfall in the 2nd part but still, i think you will enjoy the game because some of the game elements and gameplay is improved as compared to the first part.

    The game is absolutely amazing with turns you can’t see coming. Easily the most beautiful graphically and story of any PS4 game. Reserve your judgements until you have finished the entire game because it is well worth playing all the way through. This is a sequel that surpasses its incredible predecessor. What an achievement.

    This game has given me a gigantic moral lesson that revenge can destroy you. I'm seeing life with other eyes, this game has changed something in me. I can't explain it but this game is simply one of the best I've ever played in my life.

    Honest first impressions! Ok so I have played the first game remastered recently, I have NOT watched spoilers for part 2 and I am about 10hours in The Last of Us Part 2.

    Al principio odie el juego, pero al pasar el tiempo y darle un oportunidad y entender el juego, sinceramente es una obra de arte, a nivel de historia, visual, el nivel técnico es espectacular. eso si el juego es muy largo hay cosas innecesarias que no cambia en nada en la historia, pero sin duda al probarlo es una obra maestra. para ser de ps4 te rompe la cabeza de lo bien q esta hecho.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is one of the most beautiful and well crafted games I’ve ever played, it took me a good few days to complete, mainly due to being side tracked soaking in all the beautiful surroundings and side notes that are hidden away.

    This game has been getting a bad reputation because of a certain character and “poor writing” This game does not have any bad writing in it, everything in this game is perfectly placed and well presented if you have the patience to find it.

    After playing the game I felt a great deal of emotion and was left with some burning questions, something that is a hard task for game developers today due to lack of originality.

    The character of Abby is an amazing addition to the world of the last of us, because she teaches us a lot, she teaches us how we mindlessly kill in games and never face the consequence of the actions. Joel faces these consequences, something we never expected because it never happens.

    Abby is a perfect mirror to Ellie, they both set out on a quest of vengeance to avenge their father figures, they both have pregnant companions, Ellie has time in a museum where as Abby has time in an aquarium. Ellie’s love of space and Abby fear of heights.
    It is all so well thought out and planned and I beg that people ignore the hate and play this game with an open mind, for you experience alone.    … Expand

Acompanhamos a jornada de Ellie em busca de vingança pelo assassinato de Joel, a primeira vista parece algo muito clichê e básico e não deixa de ser, mas aThe Last of Us Part 2 me fez sentir um turbilhão de coisas de uma vez só, e não lembro ter tido alguma experiência parecida antes, foi angustiante, depressivo, com picos de adrenalina, choros intercalados e acima de tudo, solitário. Ao conhecermos a perspectiva de Abby, sentimos raiva e nos perguntamos o por que de estarmos sendo forçados a ver o lado da então "vilã" e ao longo da história percebemos que Abby não é vilã, na verdade, ela é muito parecida com Ellie e Joel, para mim, ver a cena em que ela tira a vida de Joel de um ângulo diferente, só me prova que logo após o ato, ela não sente alívio, não sente nada. Ao longo da gameplay ela conhece Lev e Yara e assim como Joel, torna aquilo o motivo dela viver, e numa breve conversa com Lev, demonstra culpa por algo que ela fez, e sim, gosto de acreditar que Abby se arrepende de ter buscado vingança.… Expand

I think this one even just replaced the first game as my all-time favorite.

I was hurt by the death of a legend like Joel who accompanied us and we loved so much in the campaign of the first game. In everything based on the game I loved it in each part, the naughty dog ​​did an excellent performance in this game they took great care and I admire the determination of each team of them.
