Игру, по моему мнению, не испортила даже перенасыщеность "гендерных проблем", хотя изначально мне казалось, что это убьёт сюжет. Но нет, к моменту развязки все это ушло на второй план. Выводы, которые делают герои по ходу игры очень сильно меняют героев и это видно по их решениям - от начальной тяги к мести герои приходят к мысли, что месть - ничего не изменит.
    Но есть одно, от чего моё сердце до сих пор разрывается - смерть Джоэла. Из за этого хотелось понизить оценку на 3-4 балла, но я сдержался. Ведь я понимаю, что не все должно быть так, как мне хочется. Это - жизнь. И игра следует тому же правилу. Разработчики не побоялись хейта за принятие непопулярного и осуждаемого в обществе решения. И это круто. Немногие студии могут этим похвастать.
    Хотя мне кажется, что я бы смог решить эту проблему без смерти такого яркого, самобытного и колоритного персонажа, как Джоэл. Однако, к сожалению, не я работаю в компании.
    В общем, ставлю заслуженные 10/10. Игра оправдала ожидания. Игра обогнала свое время. Люди это поймут, немного позже. Через год, может два, но точно поймут. Thank you for this experience, NAUGHTY DOG.    … Expand

I see a lot of people in metacritics complaining about the game's history, how horrible it is and its the worst ending of all videogame industry. honestly I loved the game, I love how you get upset with Abby in the beginning for killing the joel, but you start to sympathize with her during the game because even if they don’t accept, she had her reasons for doing what she did, not only with her but with her friends also mainly with Alice (the dog) when you play with Ellie and you go to the Aquarium I remember that I killed that dog and I didn't have any remorse for it but later on I was very sad when I went there with Abby and I realized that it was Alice that I had killed.At first I believed that ellie was right with her mission but every time I progressed in the story I start to see that it wasn´t doing her well because she didn´t care about anything expect her and her mission, she didn't care about Tommy, Jesse, and even Dina, she left Dina and her son to go look for Abby, we see throughout history how selfish Ellie is , and I think in the end she realizes that when she is playing guitar in the empty house. But in summary I think people didn´t like the game because it didn't end like they wanted, they wanted a happy ending but this game is not about that, its about explaining to a person that in revenge nobody is right or wrong, revenge will not bring you comfort or happiness, only more sadness and destruction and i loved the last fight you see ellie completely insane trying to kill Abby and when she is about to do it she has a quick flashback of joel playing guitar and she lets her go, you later see that this scene that she remembered was the scene that Ellie forgives joel for what he did and this is such a strong scene that I admit, I cried a lot, Ellie being able to forgive Abby for what she did its really sad but good , she has to live with the consequences of her actions but now she can live in peace . remember its easier to suffer than to forgive , Yes i give this game a 10/10

Это отличная история, для меня это не отдельная игра, это вторая часть одной игры Ласт оф ас, потому что без первой части она существовать не может.     As most of the critics already said, the graphics and level designs are great. Many different areas, very versatile looks, every shot could be a wallpaper, beautiful details, skin looks very realistic, motion capture is awesome and was also used for in-game situations. Gameplay works as known from the first part, fun puzzles that are not too hard, great fights with zombies and humans, you can almost always choose whether you want to go stealth or all in. All in all very fluent and realistic gaming experience.

    I am actually shocked about the bad reviews the game got in the first days after release regarding the story. Many were disappointed. I am not. For me this is the best ND piece so far.
    Who wants the well-known narrative of two disturbed characters trying to reach a destination together and growing together emotionally, should clearly play Part 1 again. As Part 2 is really different. Zombie apocalypse is no bed of roses. Part 2 is emotionally difficult, the characters are twisted, things are dark and mean. And things are not only emotionally demanding for the characters, but also for gamers. ND is showing once more that they dare to go new ways, also story-wise. They show that events and characters are not only one dimensional, good or evil, black or white. So for me many parts of the game were not easy to emotionally process, but i loved the challenge and was not disappointed in the end.

    In the last scenes of Part 1 for me it was already clear, that there would be no funny-and-happy-walking-around-with-lovely-Ellie-and-Joel stuff. A conflict was already established, as Joel lied to Ellie. So I was prepared for going solo with one of them from the start. Joel's violent death was shocking but necessary to pave the road for the story, ND wanted to tell us: a revenge story with a huge twist.

    We are used to one-dimensional stories, that give us guidelines of who to love as a character and who to detest, whose goals are rightful and whose death is fair or unfair. When Joel went in to rescue Ellie out of love at the end of Part 1 we tend to forget that his killings might have consequences as well, that he is not only lovable, that he might take the lives of many people, who are loved and lovable as well.
    And that's what we see in Part 2: Both Ellie and her “antagonist” Abby do very gruesome and inhumane things, both kill and hurt for goals that seem fair to them. The game gives us insights in both sides of the story and makes it possible to see both strong characters as human beings with huge flaws but also great human qualities.
    Don’t get me wrong: at the beginning for me it was really hard to play Abby. I was angry to play the person, that killed Joel. I jumped off many high places with her to see her hurt ;)
    And time after time I opened up for her perspective and her goals. I understood that Joel and Ellie also make up for great antagonists who do detestable stuff.

    All in all I could write a whole book as a review, as there are so many things that came to my mind. But after I think I covered the main issue for the bad reviews just a few last fast thoughts:

    The character of Dina was indeed very flat and didn’t manage to establish an emotional relationship

    I would have liked a few more overlapping events with Abby’s and Ellie’s story lines

    Love the diversity in the story: gay love, very strong female characters, transgender issues, ethnic variety, criticism of extremist groups that suppress different ideologies

    This game is amazing! I loved the first game. Played it like 10 times at least. And was exited for this game. Although u was scared because i knew they wouldnt top the first game. I started playing this game, and everything from the graphic to the characters to the gameplay is perfect. Such a good game and really a must play.

    It deserves a 10, dont listen to people saying that it is bad, most of them didn't even play the game and just review bombed it, the gameplay is a 10/10 better than the first and the story is something you will enjoy if you look at it realistically, not as a fantasy, the story is just amazing and totally recommend it.

    Finished the game yesterday.
    Currently replaying it on Survivor+.

    This is one of the best games I have played in my entire life.
    The range of emotions... I went from crying like a baby, to feeling rage, guilt.
    It is a roller coaster.

    Please do not be fooled by the enraged reviews out there.

    Naughty Dog has not let us down.

    TLOU 2 is far and away the most developed and intricate game I know aware of. The character development and storyline is on par with the best of cinema and the graphics are about as photo-real as todays technology can handle. The story, emotion, combat mechanics, world-building, physics, horror, characters/VO, graphics, music and sound all working flawlessly and in harmony makes the Last Of Us II feel like a next generation of video gaming. I felt like a character in a well-crafted movie.

    This game is what publishers will strive to be on par with for the next several years. Well done Naughty Dog. The developers and everyone involved should be incredibly proud of what they have created.

    Unfortunately people are narrow minded and have decided they don't like a game with homosexual characters, or the death of a beloved character, and are acting out like overgrown children to voice their hatred. Don't listen to them. They are the worst of us. They are scared of the importance of what you have achieved.

    It's not a perfect game but it's the best game I ever played. When story told in game/book/video can torn you apart leave you speechless and brokenhearted, when you feel joy and sadness and later you hate creators because they engage you emotionally and later when you have been vulnerable give you a blow... It's always 10.

    I almost finished the game and I love it. It is a great sequel for the first part. Story and gameplay are one of the best I have ever seen. I would say, this game is a must play for everyone.

    This game was amazing, sure it had some odd decisions but it played out brilliantly. Loved every second and going back on NewGame+ on Survivor difficulty to get the Platinum trophy

    Absolutely brilliant. Very different to the first game, but gives characters consequences for that actions in the first game. It's not the Joel and Ellie story anymore, so if that's what you're looking for, it's not what you're in for.

    Best game ive played this generation. No doubt. Its a true masterpiece in storytelling and game design. It takes the characters from the first game and builds on tjen while introducing a brand new cast og characters which are equally as interesting.

    It takes many bold moves story wise which imo pays off in the end.

    This game just blew my mind. The story is so real and I've felt the same like Ellie. This game will make you cry and laugh. You'll be angry. You will want the revenge. At the end, if you understand the ending, then you understand what was Neil trying to tell. I just love it.

    6 hours into the game, and i can say, dont listen to some kids that cant afford this game and are seeing some random parts of the game off YouTube and getting but hurt because of LGBT part of the game. It is fantastic, as good as 1st one. It is grim, sometimes too much, but still fantastic. Highly recommend.

Bueno, ayer me he terminado el juego que ya es más de lo que muchos de por aquí pueden decir porque al momento de hacer esta review solo el 6% de los jugadores han terminado el juego según los trofeos. El juego es una maravilla y la historia es BUENÍSIMA. Es un juego mucho más oscuro que el original, he visto gente quejándose de que es un juego de venganza en el que al final no hay venganza (Es como si en Kill Bill al final no mataran a Bill), enfadada porque una buena historia sobre la venganza tiene que acabar como John wick matando a todo el mundo y a dormir como un bebé esa noche. Pues la cosa no va así, La venganza destruye completamente a sus protagonistas dejándoles sin nada de lo que querían todo por la pura venganza.

    Algo que me parece un total acierto por parte de ND es que la muerte de Joel sea tan cruda y abrupta, hace que realmente quieras acabar con Abby. Te hace empatizar con Ellie y quieres llevar a cabo su venganza pero a medida que vas avanzando en su arco ves que estás haciendo algo terrible y que no tiene porqué seguir sufriendo así cada enemigo tiene nombre y tu no haces más que matar y destruir partes de tu alma para acabar con alguien como si todo esto te fuese a devolver a Joel. Y lo MEJOR viene cuando empiezas a jugar con Abby y ves que no estás matando a malas personas y te hace sentir un monstruo todo lo que has ido haciendo durante el juego. Viene el arco de Abby un arco de redención en el que salvaremos a unos serafitas que se han visto envueltos en una guerra sin sentido. Ella trata de redimirse haciendo algo bueno por alguien con la esperanza de que sirva de algo (Como hizo Tess en el primer juego ya que ella se sentía como lo peor y quería hacer algo bueno antes de morir). Pero hacer lo correcto en el último momento no sirve de nada y Abby lo paga descubriendo que todos sus amigos han muerto por culpa de su venganza contra Joel. Va a por Ellie y tras el enfrentamiento decide PERDONARLA por SEGUNDA VEZ ya que matarla solo haría que volver a empezar este horror de nuevo. Pero todavía queda Ellie ya que después de todo, de tener a su pareja con su hijo y una casa donde poder empezar a ser feliz decide dejar todo esto atrás para vengarse. Ellie pierde TODO por su venganza, hasta pierde dos dedos y su capacidad de tocar la guitarra, única cosa que le une emocionalmente a Joel y el último plano de ella dejando la guitarra atrás y alejándose es una representación de como a decidido poner fin a ese capítulo terrible de su historia y seguir adelante. Resistir y sobrevivir.

    Yo diría que este juego no está por encima de la obra original pero está al nivel sin ninguna DUDA. Un absoluto y merecidísimo 10.    … Expand

    I got the game the day it came out and played it everyday until I finished it. The did break my heart and gave me a story I was not expecting, but in the end I love it. Game of the year contender for sure.

    first of all, i did play the game a difference of many people here that rate the game 0, i liked very much, the graphics, the music, sounds, the story i understand why is very divisive, but i liked it in it’s majority, the only thing that i dislike is that the game is 25 hours long, so the gameplay sometimes feels repetitive and the mechanics are basically the same of the last game, ifirst of all, i did play the game a difference of many people here that rate the game 0, i liked very much, the graphics, the music, sounds, the story i understand why is very divisive, but i liked it in it’s majority, the only thing that i dislike is that the game is 25 hours long, so the gameplay sometimes feels repetitive and the mechanics are basically the same of the last game, i thought that it would have more new and interesting game mechanics.… Expand

Honestly I liked how they presented the story. It wasn’t the story that I wanted but that’s the story they wanted to tell and they did a great job on that. Here comes my thoughts on the story: It looks like they wanted to show us that the story of Ellie and Joel isn’t the only one we should care about. What I mean by that is they wanted us to see that there are tons of stories in that post apocalyptic world. It looks like they tried to take away the main focus from Ellie and Joel and that’s where the problem begins. They put way too much focus on Abby’s side of story. I think the reason behind that is they wanted us to accept Abby and her behavior which makes no sense to me. Like, come on! You guys made a whole game dedicated to Joel and Ellie (part 1) and we literally loved them. I don’t want to accept and like Abby. I just want to destroy her! She might be cool and all but at the end of the day SHE KILLED JOEL. Don’t miss understand me. I’m not saying that we should take out all parts we played as Abby. But we played Abby too much. Almost half of the game was dedicated to Abby. They made her one of the main characters but it didn’t worked out for most of us. It should have been a true and successful vengeance story in my opinion. Now let’s talk about some other things. The gameplay was perfectly designed and balanced. The animations were astonishing. Game physics were 10/10. Designs and graphics were the best in history of gaming. Music was amazing. The only downside was the story but for me the last of us part 2 is still a masterpiece.     I myself enjoyed the game it looks amazing the voice actors are great and I liked the story. There were sad,angering,funny moments but I think they balanced out.     Realmente me gusto mucho puede que a muchos no les guste que Joel haya muerto de tal forma pero al final sabemos que sus acciones en la anterior entrega tendrían consecuencias.

    Amazing Game. Can´t understand the hate. The gameplay is so dynamic and something special. The story is something diffrent and this is what the game does make so perfect. 10 out of 10 really enjoyed the time with the game.

    First things first, this game has been dividing fans immensely, given by the rift between critic and fan reviews.
    With that out of the way, here's my take on the story, the controversy and the game. Spoilers ahead for game 1 and 2 ahead.

    Already in the first game, Naughty Dog has tried to establish that no conflict is ever black and white. During multiple times in the story, Joel's dark past is hinted at.
    -He's a smuggler
    -Tess literally said "We're **** people, Joel."
    -He's been on "both sides" of an ambush
    -Obliterates the last branch of humanity looking to find a cure in order to save his surrogate daughter.
    Sadly, much like the 2nd game, the hostile factions we encounter as a player are always presented as "evil"
    -the military acting killing anyone who's not compliant
    -looters who shoot first, ask questions later
    -a group of survivors (with kids), who kill and eat people
    It is only towards the end where we see Joel lash out against the "good", presented in form of the fireflies.
    The game ended with Joel's thinly woven lie that the fireflies have stopped looking for a cure.

    Game 2 confronts the player with the consequence of our actions. Joel's past catches up with him in form of Abby, who exacts revenge on Joel for what he did to the fireflies and her father (the surgeon he killed to save Ellie). And like the old "an eye for an eye" principle, Ellie sets out to exact revenge on Joel's killers.

    What TLOU II pulls off what TLOU I didn't is that it showed conflicts from both sides. We get to play as both Ellie and Abby- bitter rivals, as you may say- and learn their motivations and loves and grudges. It tried portraying the moral grey conflicts that they were trying to convey in the first game too, just this time they took a more direct approach. Players may find upsetting that their idols may not be as heroic and "white-vested" as they may have thought.

    Another box of criticism this game has received was the hate for LGBTQ-inclusion, as well as its portrayal.
    Firstly, if you feel offended by the inclusion of queers in a video game, then the game isn't the problem: You are. Your values have gone out of fashion in the 1950s, so go with the time and stop living in the past. Almost every video game in existence features a straight, white man in the lead, with only recent examples. The few female protagonists like Lara Croft were merely sexually idolised.
    Secondly, some hate came from transgender people as well, stating that the trans character in the game was, for a fact, merely abused and tortured. While the portrayal of the game's trans character is in no way perfect, I believe it is a major first step towards inclusion and representation of our LGBTQ friends and allies in the video game industry. Perhaps the first step is shaky and bad, but that's what first steps are there for. Personally, I give props to Naughty Dog for finally having the guts to take the first step.
    The queers in TLOU II didn't feel like a major "distraction" from the story. They aren't a major talking point. Not until you make it. Learn to live with it. Deal with it.

    So of course the game is being review-bombed for the aforementioned problems. Yet they do not take into consideration the thousands of other departments of the game that made it stand out as much as it did.
    The programming- from rope physics to animation to enemy AI- is OUTSTANDING and truly unique. Every encounter was a fun to test out, every environment remarkable.
    The sound design deserves props as well. Never have the infected- clickers especially- sounded more spine-chilling and DANGEROUS than they have in this game. For the first time, clickers actually sounded like a threat not to be ignored.
    And of course, the actors have done an incredible job at bringing Ellie, Dina, Abbie etc to life. Bravo.

    While the story isn't perfect and a few characters felt a little bleak (looking at you, Jesse), it is far from what the majority make it out to be.

    If you can have an open mind and dive into this game, it is well worth the time and dedication.    … Expand

    Enter The Last of Us Part II. The game is an improvement in every single way. The cast is even better, with incredible performances from old favorites and new characters. Whilst the first game had strong methodology to its storytelling, the actual story itself was fairly predictable and didn't really tread new ground; the presentation of that story was what carried it. TLoU2 tells a more unique story - one that is less relatable than the father-daughter dynamic explored in the first, but less 'safe' and more intriguing as a result. I fell in love with the new characters, who are incredibly well written and performed. Then there's the gameplay. This game plays very, very well. The gunplay is weighty and satisfying, and the melee combat is brutal and less button-mashy than the first game, with a much welcomed dodge mechanic. Movement if fluid, and the transition between character animations is buttery smooth. I often found myself breaking stealth intentionally just so I could experience the thrill of gunfights, although often the gunfights began simply because the AI is a lot better at noticing you than in most games. I have nothing but praise for this redesigned AI - they can spot you from further away than you'd expect, and just because you're crouching in tall grass doesn't make you invisible, but I never felt like the AI was cheating either. Once combat begins, they push you aggressively, coordinating with each other to flank you from multiple angles which makes combat genuinely challenging, and not by simply making them deal lots of damage or being blessed with divine accuracy. They call out one another's names when a comrade falls, and writhe in pain on the floor when your hunting rifle takes an arm off.

    Naughty Dog has created a triumph of a game, and one that has very quickly dethroned the previous game and God of War as my favourite game of all time. I thoroughly look forward to the release of the multiplayer, whenever that may be.    … Expand

    I got chance to get my hands on the game a day before the official release. And I must say that I've never experienced such an immerse and intense game ever before. I really expected a lot of this game and it just completely blew me away from the beginning. The game play is incredibly smooth, the story is really intense, well-written and caught me right away. Definitely a GOTY-candidate for me.

    After finishing it myself after 32 hours I can’t believe I’m saying this, but this is game is even better than the first game. It’s a wild and partly cruel ride, but it’s an experience you’ll never forget and something no other game has achieved so far on this level of emotional impact and exhilarating gameplay. I have not played a better game in my whole life.

Una jugabilidad excelente y adictiva (los tiroteos son una maravilla), escenarios impresionantes, un sonido perfecto y un argumento VALIENTE que nos da algo nuevo, más allá de lo que todos hemos visto miles de veces y que nos aflora todo tipo de sentimientos como no lo ha hecho otro juego en mucho tiempo.

    This is a masterpiece pure and simple. This is the most amazing experience I've ever played. It is also the darkest, it's not easy to handle. However, it's also beautiful. The story is brilliantly created to make you feel upset but also have just joy and love for the characters. I've never done a review here before as I think this site is trash.

After ending my first playthrough at about 25 hours, I was emotionally tired this game knows how to play with your emotions better than most movies. Also the games representation of LGBT themes is very good to see! It deals with them in emotional but thoughtful ways that adds a lot of depth to the characters! The game play itself has improved a great deal on the first game. Stealth is harder, upclose combat it way more complex. And this game looks stunning! I found myself taking ages walking through the ruins of seatle just to take in the view. For the people who are review bombing this game, its clear to me they have either not finished or even played the game or they simply do not understand the complex and deep nature of the plot! This game starts off as Ellie going on a helbent mission to avenge Joel's death and as a player you are behind her 100% but then at the halfway mark you find you self in Abbys shoes and it turns everything on its head. You see things from her perspective, her motives and the pain she has also been through. Thus casting the "villan" in a different light. So when you eventually come to the final confrontation you are genuinely torn as to who you are backing. The main theme here is two wrongs don't make a right as you watch two characters helbent on revenge have every single ounce of their humanity tested, fighting for love. It is genuinely amazing to me that this game achives the amount of character development it does. Every character goes through so much in this game its painful to watch in some parts! So when you see the same story from two sides and are still not be able to make up your mind, who is right and who is wrong its tough! All the same bloody brilliant story telling! Naughty dog knocked it out of the park with this game. Its a roller coaster of emotions and a absolute thrilling ride! And as an avid gamer this is one of my favourite games of all time! The combat is brutal which makes it realistic. Some kills feel satisfactory some make you sorry, especially when it comes to killing dogs in this game. This sort of feeling that makes you question your own humanity is a huge part of what makes this game great. There are no good or bad characters, there are people who make decisions based on their own need to survive in this brutal and unforgiving world ND has created for us. The whole LGBT aspect in the game didn't feel pushed at all. If that is what ruined the game for you than i feel sorry for you.
    As a survival horror game it truly delivered. Resources are scarce on higher difficulties, both human and infected enemies are scary as hell, especially in the darker enviroments.
    Overall the story was amazing. Sad, but amazing at the same time. It gave you a bitter feeling, but also a tiny bit of hope. Because that was what ND intended.
    I highly recommend you to play the game fully yourself and not judge it from streams or spoiler reviews. This game has to be played by yourself to enjoy and fully undesrtand it. 10/10 would replay agian and again.    … Expand

Soy un gran fan del primero y tras haber terminado este puedo decir con toda la seguridad del mundo que me ha hecho sentir cosas que ningún videojuego sido capaz de hacer te hace sentir la rabia la frustración y la profunda depresión en la que las dos protagonistas se ven envueltas no es justo que la gente odie una obra maestra como esta sin haberla jugado tan siquiera aunque claro está que tratándose de un tema tan maduro no esta hecho para todos los públicos el final te desgarra por dentro como muy pocos videojuegos han sido capaz de hacerlo. Para mi este es algo único ya que no han tenido miedo de matar a alguien tan importante para nosotros como lo es Joel y después de ponernos en la piel de su asesina para entender las razones de porque lo hizo ver como la violencia genera más violencia y todo para acabar viendo a una Ellie demacrada mutilada y sola que ya no puede tocar la guitarra lo único que le quedaba de Joel por su venganza y culpándose así misma de todo lo que pasó. aquí no se tratan de malos o buenos sino de como se ve el mundo desde distintas perspectivas y de que no es todo blanco o negro para mi en términos de historia, gráficos jugabilidad y diseño de niveles es magistral, si le pudiera sacar algo negativo por sacarle algo es la poca importancia que le dan a Jesse ya que no sientes nada cuando muere cosa que con el primer TLOU si que lo consiguieron con Sarah. es un juego que da que pensar y me apena muchísimo que haya generado tanto odio entre los jugadores de forma totalmente injustificada.     Gameplays is always fun and absolutely terrifying at points. The game is super long so if you give it a go make sure you haven’t got anything going on in your life for a week.

    Best game ever. It’s such a shame to live in this world and spoil the rating just because you see anything but only death and revenge. Open your eyes!     The game is the most detailed games I have ever played. It does not follow aproved story telling what makes it at certain points a bit unsatisfying. But I like that!

    It's a great Father's Day gift for Abby. For she gets to take revenge on the killers of her father. And for Ellie, revenge is bad, let's forgive. 10/10

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
