    Superbe jeu narratif. Avec une vraie prise de position que l'on peut adorer ou détester. La fluidité du jeu est exceptionnelle. Les musiques sont dingues. Pas de liberté narrative mais l'action en elle-même peut être abordée de différentes façons. Les designs sont magnifiques. J'ai décidé de mettre 9/10 à cause de l'absence de multijoueur que j'ai adoré dans le premier opus. Surtout queSuperbe jeu narratif. Avec une vraie prise de position que l'on peut adorer ou détester.     Absolute 10/10 Nothing comes even next to it when it comes to attention in detail,mechanics,stunner animations and cut scenes,gameplay and level design, the game feels just too "alive" and "breathing" in every step you take. An absolute pleasure to play.

    Um game que mexe com player, com uma história tão profunda que vc sente o peso dos personagens. Um jogo que consegue envolver a pessoa que está jogando, conseguindo passar os sentimentos e a profundidade dos personagem.
    Com uma ótima jogabilidade é fluidez dos movimentos, deixando a pessoa ainda mais imersa no universo do game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First of all, my real score is 8.5/10. Why I set it to 10? Later about that.
    I'll start from storyline, because it is storyline, what provoked maximal resonance.
    This game neither about gays nor about trans-genders, neither about strong women nor about feminism. This game about hatred and forgiveness, about problems in mutual understanding and just about life. In real life absolutely not all people are beautiful inside and outside, not all people are heterosexual and every character, so loved by fans, can be killed at any moment. This game asks so many questions, and show us, how monochrome our life vision can be, how hard for us can be put ourselves in place of another people. If you ask me, this game masterfully playing with our feelings and worldview, rotating story way by 180 degrees when it needed.
    Tightness of the story can be disputable moment, but I'm not sure that without it, we could feel what we have felt.
    About other parts of the game.
    Pros:
    Graphics is great, especially if keep in mind fact, that PS4 platform has been released 7 years ago. Gameplay and enemy AI are improved in comparsion with first part.
    Sound is not so cool as in Hellblade, but still no complains. Music is great, but worse than in 1st part.

    Cons:
    Sometimes is highly noticeable, that NPCs with same models staying on distance of few meters from each other, that spoils impression about the game.
    Allies AI still can be boring a bit. Especially for Dina.
    Music is good, but worse than in 1st part in my opinion.
    Hard level (not maximal) is too easy. I always had full inventory and died just 20-30 times during all playtime.

    As I already said, my score is 8.5/10. So why 10? Just because lot of people gave 0/10 even if noted good visual, music, gameplay etc. Even if you totally disliked the game because of Joel death, lesbian Ellie, heavy-proteined Abby or something, it doesn't deserve 0/10 at all, because, as you said, it has good graphics and interesting gameplay. So my 10 is just for balance.    … Expand

    The first half I was definitely on Joel's and Elly's side, but this all changes after discovering the past of Abby and her family and friends. "There are two sides of a coin" never felt so apt.

    How far the spiral of violence will take you and are you even able to get out of it? Play this game and you will find out. Story has more levels than first part and nothing is black and white anymore. Colors of your story are changing and sometimes you wish that darkness is not there. But it is.     not the game everyone wanted but the game everyone needed. the last of us part 2 embarks u in a overwhelming journey. you'll be faced with hatred and anger. but somehow naughty dog manages to twist your brain and throw u in a land of confusion about what's right and what's wrong. this game is a flawed masterpiece everyone needs to play.

    MASTERPIECE！ Finished the game in 2 days. Breathtaking graphics. Great story that explores multiple human emotions and character development. I ended up loving both protagonists: Abby ＆ Ellie... they' d make a lovely couple ；）

    De lo mejor de esta generación, para todos aquellos que no sepan apreciar el juego, les mando un fuertisimo abrazo, me sabe fatal que por unas cuantas tonterías no podáis disfrutar de una auténtica obra de arte.

    I love a good dystopian future story and it doesn’t get much darker than this. The end of the first game was implied to have doomed humanity, and the lie that hung in the air in the closing moments is the catalyst for the brutal revenge of this game. The world is stunning, the gameplay sharp and varied. Why not 10? It’s a minor fault but for me it slowed the game down just when it was gaining speed. A couple of inexplicable decisions by characters marred the story but not enough to derail it.     I believe this game to be a grand challenge to the player, it's complex story and plotline will break down the very foundations of The Last of Us as we, the players, knew it. Taking down a symbol will certainly have an impact on the player, but understanding the broader context that lead to that, is the purpose of the game.     Only real flaw with this game is the pacing is sometimes a little slow. Aside from that, this is one of the best games released this generation and will certainly be remembered as such.

    Naughty Dog didn't play it safe with this game and well done to them. It has a bold story and is a technical masterpiece.

    Best game I've ever played!!! It was a wild, intense rollercoaster ride of emotion from start to finish. I’m an emotional wreck after it. I’m going to need some time to recover mentally and emotionally. Switching over to Stardew Valley for a bit lol

It’s brutal, yes, but TLOU2 makes it a point to put your mental and emotional state in the blender for a reason. It was one of the most thought-provoking games I’ve played in a while. This game uses the player’s emotions against us perfectly and brings all of humanity’s ugliest flaws to the surface and rubs in our faces. When I finished this game, I actually took a pause to reflect and just thought about how grateful I am to have what I do in my life. To let go of any anger, stress, grudges that I have. It’s hard to explain without giving away story spoilers. For me, the game is essentially a ‘not-so-gentle’ reminder, that in our dark, cruel world, (not entirely post-apocalyptic yet), we should find our bits and pieces of love, joy and hold on tight……. The story is very good, the characters are awesome, and how they evolve is so good. Gameplay is complex and I love that they kept the feeling from the first game( you'll know if you played it).     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game was advertised as a game centred around Ellie's revenge, although I agree with this I also believe it is a story about forgiveness. You can see how Ellie struggles to forgive characters early on in the story with the way she struggles to forgive Seth who she calls a "bigot" instead of accepting his peace offering. This tells us a lot about Ellie's character early on. Ellie does not only struggle to forgive others she also struggles to forgive herself, she feels guilty for not forgiving Joel. By Ellie not killing Abby it is Ellie forgiving Joel. If you don't forgive Abby at the end of the story and are upset that Ellie didn't kill Abby you are the Ellie that embarked on the journey to murder everyone in her path the Ellie which is unwilling to forgive. This game shows that life is a cruel but efficient tutor. Both the characters experience trauma related to their father figures death. Ellie with her flashbacks to the basement and Joel's face and Abby with her flashbacks to the firefly hospital. I loved the deeper meanings in this game.… Expand

    however, there are some things that do bug me, like when you change character and you start playing as abby, you go on missions who are not really central to the plot. like you barely see the carnage that ellie is leaving behind her, and that was a real bummer. and the fact that this game has 2 endings, like, it ends, and then it ends again, the second one was a little forced, a little weird, but it is still damn good, give it a try, ****    … Expand

There were moments I remember clearly where I was struggling to stay alive in the game, and yelling on my couch because it got so intense. It's the same feeling from Resident Evil 4 where fear comes from scary enemies and overwhelming odds. Survival, especially in the stealth sections, require a lot ofFirst of all, the story aside, this game is really fun. The combat is intense. There were moments I remember clearly where I was struggling to stay alive in the game, and yelling on my couch because it got so intense. It's the same feeling from Resident Evil 4 where fear comes from scary enemies and overwhelming odds. Survival, especially in the stealth sections, require a lot of creativity. It's very rewarding when games require you to think and make it clear that there are a lot of options. I played on moderate, and found it pretty difficult. There was incentive to avoid being seen and remain in stealth, because enemies easily overwhelmed you and drained your supplies otherwise. I never got bored even with this long campaign, which is impressive.

    Alright, the story. It bugged me, but I think that was the point. Part 2 continued Part 1's theme of characters doing what the characters would do. In other words, the events are realistic when you consider the game world and the character's experiences. The writers did not try to make a story that would make fans happy. While it's admirable, it causes inevitable discomfort. That's why I can't give this game a 10. But I don't think the story ruined the game.

    A few other notes. The start of the quest is a little slow. This game is very large and provides a lot of opportunity for searching for additional lot and even upgrades. Sometimes it rewards, sometimes it punishes. Again, that's realistic. It also can be really boring at times however.
    Graphics are beautiful and motion capture and faces are crazy realistic.    … Expand

This is the only game I have ever cried at (when Ellie cannot play the guitar and reminisces about Joel), and I couldn't think over a better game to have that experience with.

Gustavo Santaolalla has given us another masterpiece with the beautifully elegant soundtrack for the game. The gameplay was amazing, the animations were so realistic and the stealth mechanics are some of the best I've experienced.

    If I could change a few things they would be:
    - Play the game earlier in the timeline, making the game maybe 10 hours longer. This would allow us to experience the amazing flashbacks as actual parts linearly. This would add to the emotional trip Ellie experiences throughout her story. (Also giving us more Joel aha)
    - Let us play the whole of Ellie's story and post finishing the game, say now you can play Abby's story and see what she was doing the whole time. I get this ultimately defeats their aim with Abby, however, I believe playing as Abby disrupts the flow of Ellie's revenge-fueled emotional voyage.

    And for that, I leave the review with a solid 9/10    … Expand

    the most beautiful game i have ever played. great characters and actors. what a soundtrack. Fun gameplay. Hits you right in the feels a lot and made me think about it like no movie series or video game ever before.

This game is not that bad as everyone tells it's just that people don't want to understand it . Gameplay mechanics , Graphics even the story were good . The story was emotional mainly the part with Joel . After his death even I had low expectations but as story goes I started to like the new and old characters . I liked the part with Ellie going on revenge after Abby , but instead of killing her she kills her friends (only Lev and Abby survive) . As I started playing as Abby a lot of things were revealed about her and I think she had some kind of redemption arc going on which I really liked . The Ending was bit disappointing maybe if they gave people the ability to choose it might have been better . But the best thing or the thing I liked the most were the flashbacks with Joel mainly the one with Ellie's birthday. I already achieved the Platinum trophy so for me I would say the game is underated and people just hate it because of Joel's death but they haven't even tried the game or didn't have it a chance . For me it should be the Game of the Year .… Expand

New additions like land mines and pipe bongs makes killing genuinely fun. The graphics are probably the best we will see from any console game for many years. I can’t get enough, every set is a masterpiece with so much detail it almost becomes hypnotic to look at.

    The direction this game was taken in story wise was a big risk but and not what a lot of people were expecting but I wouldn't say it was badly written overall. The gameplay, graphics and sound are a big improvement from the first game which is to be expected but it really is one of the best looking and sounding games out there regardless of opinion on the games plot. The sense of brutality and emotion in the last of us 2 never really drops off from stealth kill to gun fight to cutscence it will have you questioning you're morals and emotions from beginning to end. All in all a solid game with a narrative that is very rarely seen from a video game or movie so I rate it highly for pushing the boundaries of narrative driven singleplayer games, graphics and audio.    … Expand

Firstly, game aside, I'm glad that ND went to such lengths to hide the plot, quash the leaks and even deceive fans re playable character's, Joel's involvement etc. Having waited so long for this game, it was far preferable, immersive and more impactful to play through naively blind!

    The visuals and game mechanics in this game are stunning. Not to mention the music. ND have created a world that is beautiful to move through and, whilst the controls for performing actions are simple, the mechanics of performing certain actions (i.e. glass smashing) are really satisfying. The open-world of Downtown Seattle was a brilliant section to play through and gradually build up to more difficult sections later in the game.

    Pacing-wise, it is slower than the first game and obviously much longer. However, by THE halfway point I was nowhere near ready for the game to be over. That being said, I found Abby's arc to be a bit too drawn out, with one too many visits to and from the aquarium. Whilst the encounters on the island with Lev are excellent, I don't feel as though the sections' inclusion added a great deal to the overall narrative.

    In terms of the overall narrative, for me, ND accomplished what they set out to achieve. They took a character who you are supposed to despise, and they lead you to empathise with her story (in addition to taking a character you love and then questioning her actions). By the end of the game I didn't want either protagonist to be killed. And I didn't feel 'tricked' or 'coerced' into feeling that way, it was organic.

    The game is obviously dark and there is a lot of sadness, but there are also lighter moments, often experienced through flashbacks. You get way more moments akin to the 'giraffe' scene from Part 1.

    Overall, I admire the risks that have been taken in making this game as it is, and the fact that it is generating polarising reviews is, in a sense, a measure of its success. If you can play it with an open mind, engage with the decisions that are made on your behalf and try to understand the emotions of the characters then you'll find the game - if not the story - very fulfilling.

    Could there be a Part 3 centring on the theme of redemption? Ellie battling her demons and ultimately seeking out Abby and the Fireflies to give herself up for a cure to be developed? I hope so. I'd also love a DLC where you play through the same 3 days from Tommy's perspective...


    Other likes:
    - The stories within the story, e.g. Boris the Bowhunter, that you discover through finding artefacts and notes.
    - The parallels with Part 1, e.g. David vs. Ellie and the first Abby vs. Ellie encounter. Also the interrogation techniques used by Tommy and Ellie, copying the methods of Joel in Part 1.
    - The anxiety you have of playing through for the first time. Creeping and sneaking through sections that don't end up having any enemies!

    Would have liked:
    - Ellie to put the sniping skills that she learned into practise.
    - Isaac to have been used more as an antagonist. You learn loads about him through notes during the first half of the game, but then he rarely appears and disappears quite anticlimactic. More emphasis on gim and his torturing of others might have helped the narrative flow in terms of Abby turning her back on the WLF.

    Questions:
    - If I get Ellie to leave a trap mine on the theatre fire escape, will Abby and Lev see it when they sneak in later?
    - If I run through the infected section that Abby plays through twice, will they still be there to attack the Scars on the return leg?    … Expand

    Truly the greatest game ever made. The story is brutal and unforgiving and requires an open mind. If you come into the game wanting a rerun of TLOU1 then you're going to have a bad time and get angry. Ignore the haters, avoid the spoilers, roll with the story.

This game is the most emotional invested game I’ve ever played. The way Joel died made me want to **** beat the **** out of Abby. The game wanted me to feel that way, you have to think about how the game is trying to make you feel and understand the feel and keep on playing. That’s why the user score is so bad because of Joel’s death. This is one of if my top games of all time.     The Last of Us Part II is a fine follow up to the first game, there are plot holes, but the over all story I think is okay, it seams more human and real. Visually and audibly this game is a masterpiece, its definitely worth playing.
