To Much BS. Trying to sell trends rather than the actual plot. Joel got killed because he was a manly man, super disappointed.

This game shows how critics are unreliable, the only thing this game excels in is gameplay and graphics, the story is a disgrace to the original and its meaninglessly infused with politics

Possibly worst game there could be in existence, they throw out the story and absolutely disgraced itself as a sequel to LOU 1, this is not part of the greatness we were expecting ,but more of the trash we didn't expect, 10/10 would not play again

Sony forbids doing games with boobs and naked people or sex. I recall the scandall with Japanese games. But this doesn't apply to lesbian sex or transgender. Of course.

Graphics are beautiful, perhaps the prettiest I've seen on consoles yet, but It's a known fact that Naughty Dog follows a disgusting crunch work policy that needs to stop ASAP.
And although it's beautiful, said beauty does NOT save the game from its poorly written, badly paced overly convoluted story. The fact that we are forced to try and empathize with the previous protagonist's killer while watching every cherished character suffer a horrible fate makes it feel like this game's screenwriters wanted players to forcibly like Abby and dislike everyone before her. I don't see how anyone would think thought selling this crappy product was ok. I'm expecting a chance to get my money back

Killing Joel in the first hour of the game, proves, that Naughty Dog doesn't care about what made their previous title to the Last of Us Part 2 so emotional and interesting. Don't get me wrong, this game is really great. I love the graphics, the realism, almost everything. But, like I said, if you pretty much start off your sequel to killing one of the most beloved characters that made the predecessor so great, then you are automatically doing something wrong.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. ATTENTION Naughty Dog! Please don’t bring back Uncharted to have a woman no one cares about kill Nathan and Elaine within 2 hours and then their daughter ultimately doesn’t get any revenge. That would be just swell. I signed up to Metacritic just to give a review on this game cause I’m stunned. The 95 rating the critics give this game compared to the actual everyday players/users show exactly the world we live in today, the critics are to afraid off speaking the truth and don’t want to offend anyone with an actual real genuine thought. Context is everything Naughty Dog said in regards to the spoilers and killing Joel, one of the best characters on any gaming platform was killed within 2 hours. When we spent one of the best games of all time (first game) building this bond and care for both of them, this was one of the biggest slaps to the face to gamers I’ve ever seen. We all knew Joel was probably going to die to set Ellie on her revenge path and I was going to be ok with this, but how they did it, my jaw dropped in horror. Joel firstly saves Abbey from certain death then gives up his name easily and has no last words to Ellie, just beaten to death with a golf club. Now with some time to grieve and set on my path of revenge I may be able to get past this and if it was great and tense gameplay and a good story to follow I could maybe give this an 8 or 9 but BUT BUTTTTT HERES WHERE ITS UNFORGIVABLE, TO MAKE ME PLAY 50% of the game as the person who brutally murdered Joel, Eugene and then Tommy was one of the WORSE GAMING DECISION MADE IN HISTORY!. They wanted me to care so much for Abbey and see it from
her point of view. NO NAUGHTY DOG NO! Joel and Ellie where The Last of Us, simple as that and you killed the best thing about it and then made us play Abbey. Not to mention the drawn out and longgggg Seattle mission just to catch up to Tommy and get info from Abbeys friends too her whereabouts and that’s Ellie entire 8 Hour run before it switched to Abbey, that is just lazy and extremely bad story telling. I loved the first one so much, I played it many times and then the opening to The Last of Us 2 was moving and almost perfect, telling Tommy what he did and then riding to Jackson playing as Joel and seeing Ellie and singing her a song, I was so happy and ready for this game. Perfect start and then after the stupid snowball fight it all went down hill. This just made me think of the failure of Game Of Thrones and Star Wars, no one can stick the landing these days!!!

The Last of Us 1 was a game that defined a generation and no one asked for a sequel because it didn’t need it, it was like a perfect 10 episode mini series that was just right. But now all they’ve done is bring these characters back and either kill them or not even get the justice they deserve, Naughty Dog just pulled a David and Dan. Gameplay is pretty much the same, nothing really new and graphics are great but when it’s a story driven, linear game then story is KEY! and you messed up big time. 4/10

“Cerca de metade dos pais sem nenhum direito de visita ainda sustenta seus filhos financeiramente “

A testosterona salva vidas.

The gameplay is at its most, okay. Puzzles are very few, combat is not very exciting, and the bugs whenever I climb a ladder or when the killing animation glitches is really lame.

The story. Without spoiling the story, I can say that its inconsistent and poorly written. "Brave" and "Bold" is not what I'd describe it. While its being compared to the likes of "GOT Season 8", I'd also compare it to a bad horror film, where shock is the only factor it offers. This is important because 'The Last of Us" is a story based game and gameplay is only a way to transport the story. Most people are not disliking the Game because of its choice of sexuality for its characters. The characters are boring and story forces you to attach yourself to them (which fails). They are not very likable, trans or not trans. The story itself is not very realistic (whether about the world or characters) and the concept of "survival among st the apocalypse" narrative is thrown out the window.

Sadly, I cannot recommend this game to anyone and I hope they revamp Part 2 into a different narrative

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. 对于我来说,双关语标题:The Last of Us 的Us代表的就是乔尔和艾莉。

They created false trailers where you can see the the protagonist of the first game, just to play with fan's nostalgia. One and a half hour and he is no longer in the game. and the cutscenes are totally different.

The second part of the game, you play with a new character that nobody cares, or, if somebody does, probably hate it, for about 8 to 10 hours.

Finally, the history makes no sense, it feels like a joke, specially the ending.

The gameplay is outdated, but nobody cares about that, we know why we are here, we want a good story, this is not one.

I will give it a 1 score, and that 1 is the only positive thing I can see in this game, graphics, audio and accessibility, very good job made by people CRUNCHING god knows how much.

Loved the first game! Cant believe they destroyed this franchise that had such good promise. We play games to escape the real world not deal more with it. I hope they figure this out. Sadly I'll never buy another entry in this series. Terrible story. Looks amazing. Though graphics wise.

Likable, but annoying. I liked playing as Abby sometimes but didnt have the sympathy for her I think I was supposed to. So it was a chore playing as her for so long. Although her levels were more interesting and varied. Just emotionally I didnt connect. Characters like Joel and Tommy make stupid choices, Ellie makes stupid choices and acts like someone else. Gameplay is ok but stealth kills begin to feel repetitive. Every time a Clicker kills me it's the same death animation with no variance no matter what. The AI gets predictable but is interesting sometimes. Just wish there was some innovative gameplay here. Nope. I would give this an 8/10 if the story was good, maybe a 9/10 if the story was great. As it is I give the visuals a 9/10, the audio a 9/10, the story a 0/10 and characters 2/10, gameplay is a 6/10, overall I'd never play this game again and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Technically should rate it a 5/10 but the story is so bad I just can't. RIP Naughty Dog Expand

But the story itself was terrible. They completely ruined a beloved character and it was as if the writers forced him to act in a way that was unnatural to his established personality, said character acts completely different in the first game but does a 180 on the second within the first hour. And the political messages are really in your face, political messages are fine but it was too distracting in this game and took away form my enjoyment. I got 80% done with the story but i just couldn't finish the game because it just didn't keep my interest because i felt too much resentment from the writers. And it is completely valid to write a review on a game you didn't complete if you at least played more then half of that game, because it is on the game itself to maintain your interest.

    tl;dr
    - good gameplay and graphics
    - if you're a fan of the story then this is basically a **** you" with a political insert
If you don't care about story and just play for the gameplay itself, i will say give this game a try. Its alright. But that's not the reason i play so that's why this game gets a 2 out of 10. Those 2 points being gameplay and graphics.

    Honestly the story....

Abby stumbling into Joel in the middle of a blizzard and the middle of an attack only to lead him back to hack his brains out. Playing as the antagonist (Abby) and only to end up fighting against the protagonist (Ellie).

Ellie killing dozens upon dozens of dogs and hunters only to leave the one person alone that she was hunting down at the end.

And then she comes back to an empty house, unable to play the guitar and unfulfilled for Joel. Awesome graphics though...

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Towards the end of the game I found myself just rushing through the different areas on easy mode, because I got bored by the repetitive gameplay a lot and just wanted to finish the story. The search for Tommy, which makes almost half of the game, is packed with boring detours and grinding for material in houses or basements. The game at some points is really bloated and makes you do everything twice, thrice, and so on. The enemy encounters are somehow always the same and differ only very small parts. I found no motivation to make my way through the Scars' or Wolfes' camps like the developers intended to as clearing out those camps was not even necessary to move forward in the story. Sneaking, waiting, attacking, watching a way too long stealth kill cutscene (yes, I know you could shorten it by skilling, but why would I spend my pills on that skill?), looting, crafting, and in the next area I had to do the same. It was just a convenient method to give the player something to do and maybe to hide that there is only little substance with regard to the storytelling. Rushing through without killing anybody remained without consequences, so I kept looking for a purpose of my actions. I found also very very annoying that you almost made it to your point of interest and then - suddenly - you dropped into a river or fell down many floors so that you'd have to go there again, but just another way this time. Killing off the minor characters frequently (Jesse, Yara, Danny, ...) wore off at some point as if Naughty Dog just wanted to highlight how cruel their storytelling can be, but it was rather pointless. And compared to TLOU Part 1 it indeed was in many ways. I always thought that Game of Thrones' Littlefinger was the only character in the world that could beam from point A to B in minutes without context.
Yes, the presentation of the game is phenomenal, but it's something that I take for granted when it comes to an AAA title. In the end it is also very easy to praise the details of the landscape or houses because they somehow looked all the same. There was only little variation. Almost every house had the same cupboards, the same kitchen, the same bathroom, it looked like a copy & past design, which is another aspect that bored me.
As for the story I quickly lost my connection to Ellie and never established one to Abby.
I am also very disappointed by the developers praise that we would have to endure the consequences of Ellies decisions and actions. That's what they said many times in a short 5 minute clip prior to the release of the game. Turned out that this was simple marketing nonsense. The game itself made the decision, I never got to decide anything. And what decisions in life do not cause consequences? Whatever you do, it will have a result. Like developing a boring and repetitive game causes players' frustration.

I'm just yourProdigious disappointment would be an understatement. It has not even been more than 2 hours since I finished the sequel, with my immediate reaction being to uninstall and delete it from my PS4 Pro. Now my secondary reaction is to give an honest and unbiased opinion on my play through. No I'm not a famous reviewer or game critic or Youtuber with major following or clout. I'm just your average Joe who still enjoys video games, going into early adulthood. Since my very first NES console, I knew there and then that video games would be a huge part of my life. I even plan to play video games into my elderly years (hopefully being able to share them with my children, then grandchildren).

I follow a golden rule of thumb in life which is "set your expectations very low so you can never be disappointed". Having said that, I went in as open-minded as I could be with zero expectations, just as I had for the original TLOU1:Remastered. TLOU1:Remastered was an absolute masterpiece. The sequel is tragic travesty.

Strong storytelling was all but missing. The story of TLOU1:Remastered was the selling point of the original. The characters we fell in love with in the original were disrespected without cause or provocation in this sequel. We are then forced upon with new characters that simply did not earn our appreciation, respect or adulation yet. Imagine if in the near God of War sequel, Kratos was not playable and instead a completely new character just assumed his spot. Wouldn't Atreus and the player playing the game suddenly question "who the heck are you and why am I forced now to play you when I bought this game to play as Kratos and Atreus?" The Spartan rage in that dilemma would certainly be understandable to its faithful fans who felt betrayed and sold on deceitful lies aka false marketing.

The game play is based on the same template as the original, minus 2 new functions of crawling and dodging. Now that can be good or bad. In my experience, it was bad. In the original it was simply good because it was the first time players were introduced to that system so it was fresh. Waiting 7 years just to see virtually no exciting change to said game play system was just plain sad. It can get very boring, very quickly and it did for me ultimately.

The soundtrack is mesmerizing and beautiful. Gustavo Santaolalla 's work was simply phenomenal. It's just a shame that music wasn't used as often throughout the game. This scored 1 point for the review.

The other 1 point goes to the visuals. I cannot and won't lie that the visuals of the game is absolutely gorgeous. It truly pushes the PS4 and PS4 Pro's hardware capabilities to its limit (complimented by the jet engine that goes off on the console during heavily rendered scenes). The visuals are some of the best of this generation of consoles.

In summary, I was deeply disappointed by a franchise with a proven track record of offering some of the best video games, only for it to fully betray its loyal fans and patrons. This is coming from a guy who walked into the sequel with an open-mind, as they requested. Even with such low expectations from the start I could not fathom having this travesty on my PS4 Pro any longer. I was fair in the sense that I played through the game, and nowhere through my 25+ hours of play through did I have the same magical feeling of awe and emotional connect that I did for the original masterpiece. Please be warned: there is absolutely NO FUN involved with the sequel. Naughty Dog themselves already relayed in a PR statement that they the word FUN should never be associated with their games. Well one word they should be associated with is FRAUD. They clearly know what they are doing and have done to its fans and patrons. The creative director himself, Neil Druckmann could care less if you enjoyed the game or not. If anything, this was a brilliant marketing scheme that allowed him and the people at Naughty Dog to laugh all the way to the bank with their bags and bags of pre-order money. There are absolutely no losers from this sequel, just winners: Naughty Dog and their bank accounts. Suffice to say I will not be purchasing any future products from Naughty Dog - they simply lost my trust and loyalty.
