    I won't talk much but all I have to say:-
    1- the story is really bad 2- pacing and characters are very bad not like the first game.
    2- gameplay and graphics are masterpiece.

    Story is trash. If you liked the tlou1 for the great characters, this is not the game for you. All the characters returning and new, are unlikeable, vapid, and unsympathetic no matter how the dev's wanted them to be.

    The game play is uninspired and repetitive. The narrative drags on and on, and seems to have a bizarre fetish for torture and needless violence. This compounds with the jarring ludonarrative dissonance of Ellie choosing to spare abby in the end despite having no problem with the massive body count the average player will inevitably rack up in a playthrough. Overall save your money, wait for a sale, or watch a stream of the story if you for whatever reason just have to experience this illconcieved sequel.    … Expand

    Bad: Plot, immersion, character development, weird ending.

    Overall 3-4/10.
    Let's not forget about abusing copyright law, censorship and quite possibly paid-fake reviews.

The poor attempts to generate sympathy for either of the two main characters ring hollow when every decision they make is either baffling or outright despicable. Not quite sure what they were going for, but whatever it was, they failed.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Having played 8-10 hours into the game I've given up. I applaud the team at naughty dog for the amazing graphical fidelity of the game and its sound and animation. But I've officially lost interest in the series.
    Having seen many videos repeatedly of Joel's head being smashed in with the club by Abby and having played through it myself, I now feel completely disconnected from the world that was created in the first part,I don't even feel sad anymore, all that goes through my mind is "this is the stupidest s**t I've seen. I boot up the game and play it for a 20 minutes tops and quickly quit it and find something else to play at this point.
    It being a couple of days post launch now, I can comfortably say, f**k this game. F**k it for ruining the world, characters and story for me. I'm done.
    Its good if you enjoyed it, its good that you could and I won't fault you for it. But there's too much wrong for me to forgive. Too much.
    This world that you'd made naughty dog, is now dead.
    And the best part? You killed it as unceremoniously and mindlessly as Abby did Joel. Good job.
    This had the potential, the setup and all the key ingredients of something mind shattering. But sadly you decided nope, we're gonna f**k with this up so bad.
    I really feel sad I spent money on this pile of steaming s**t. I really wish you hadn't done this.

    Graphically and technically amazing as can be expected by ND. Unfortunately the amazing job the graphics team did is completely negated by the terrible story and dusted gameplay. Loved the first game, especially Joel's and Ellie's relationship and enjoyed the DLC to that as well. However, video games are entertainment and escapism for me, for everyone else who feels like that - think hardGraphically and technically amazing as can be expected by ND. The story and the characters blow me away every time I go though it. So, to say that I have been waiting a lot for this second game, is an understatement. But, as much as I love the first one, as much I hate this second game. I literally feel like punching my fist through the wall, throw my PS4 and that game out the window, run down the street, throw gasoline on it, set it on fire and then pee on the ashes. Why would anyone spend so many resources to make such a great and beautiful game and then apply the most terrible storyline ever? It makes NO sense to me. I wonder what Naughty Dog has been thinking; "Hey, let's make a bunch of trailers showing Ellie and Joel, then kill Joel in the most brutal way ever and make them play the game as Joel’s murder" - WHAT THE ****! It is like you have been trolling us for the last couple of years and make us buy this game on false premises. Imagine you bought a new Zelda game, Link gets slaughtered and then you play rest of game as Link’s murder. Why would anyone want that? I avoided the leaks in good faith, but now I just wasted a bunch of money. I am so depressed right now, as if 2020 was not bad enough already. But hey, I guess you can say that The Last of Us Part 2 fits 2020 perfectly – It is like this game was made to finish people off...… Expand

    This game is so bad that if you made every character straight white and male, the people critics call "incel bigots" would still trash on this game. It's dark for the sake of being dark.     -the animation is pretty good -the soundtrack is inferior to the first game's but it's still alright THE BAD: -stale gameplay -the game becomes boring after a few hours -you're forced to play as a horribly written character (i tried to speed through these parts ASAP just so I could play as Ellie) -the story is worse than Twilight -"honoring Joel    THE GOOD:

    The graphics look amazing! You can clearly see that we have reached the PS4 hardware limitations. The main part of a video game like The last of us the, story is a disgrace to the original. All that was loved was just thrown in to the bin.

    70% of the developer & writer who made the first game great already left/kicked out from the studio.
    The first game is perfect on its own, didn't need a sequel.
    They could have gone so many way with the sequel, but instead they chosen the "cheap" revenge story.
    Killed my favorite character so early in the game just for the sake of killing characters & the "shock factor".
    Also.. false advertisements, the game made you play as other characters(she-hulk marvel crossover yay!) midway through the game that not shown at all in any trailer/promotion.

    Final Verdict:

    Don't get me wrong. I don't care about the sexuality of any character as long as the character has substance and is important to the plot.
    What TLOU2 did was not very good story telling. Character development was pretty bad too.... If they at least had changed the story chronologically a little bit, it could have been a 5.5+ in rating.

    I want to REMIND everyone that we are GAMERS and we don't care for a game like TLOU where it is solely about survival, beating the bad guys that want to harm us or zombies to contain a moral message at the end with a very bad script and lots of confusion and story telling that is worse than Game Of Throne's Final Season. It was filled with so much political and moral bull crap. We already have to deal with it IRL everyday.

    Why do you have to drag this into a VIDEO GAME??? Don't ruin fictional worlds with your narrative. A little bit isn't bad but what you delivered was nothing but a novel for extreme moral activists. The person who you hired for the story telling should get fired.

    Look at the reviews, btw, that's not a brigade. These are gamers who have been disappointed by your story telling which is quite justified. Your JjjjjjjOurRnaLisTs that have reviewed it with 10s are not even real TLOU fans, they review games for a living, for them to survive, they have to lay in a good word.

No remorse over any wrongdoings and goes on killing spree while giving background emotional **** It's cheap, manipulative, and not good writing. The only good thing about the game is the flashbacks. The ai is dumb even in hard difficulty. The visuals and set pieces are amazing but the story is so bad that it hurts. Neil Druckmann just spit on Joel, the series and the entire fanbase. The most generic revenge story with out the mc getting revenge in the end lmao. Either lots of changes went on recently before launch,or the trailers were made deliberately to trick fans. If you loved TLOU1, and are looking forward to a new Joel and Ellie experience this is not it. If you saw the trailer and thought this game would carry the magic of the first game, this is not it. Joel and Ellies dynamic is thrown out the window, their decision making has been completely retconned. The major plot points set in motion by Ellie and Joel are completely out of character. This honestly feels like a fan made story, but with a triple A budget for gameplay.     Sad, I was a huge fan of the first game and they decide to alienate half their fan base for a political message that didn't fit the story. While the graphics, music and gameplay are still amazing, the story which is what made us all fall for the first game is complete **** and is horribly written , characters are acting completely out of character and there are plot holes left and right .

    I think the most tasteful part was when Druckmann and his mafia goons stepped in as NPCs to altruistically remind us that sacrificing beloved heroes on the alter of political agenda is always universally acceptable. The man just oozes grace and intellectual honesty. It was probably the 2nd most noble thing he's done (after ousting the critically panned Amy Hennig from her position at ND to appease all those misogynists who have always been so vocal about hating her work, like Uncharted).

    Put simply, it's Schindler's List 2: Schindler's Fist meets Captain Marvel (though perhaps not as deep as the latter). If you buy this game only once, I'm afraid you're part of the problem and need someone miserable, aggressive, and uninformative to re-educate you.

    If you have to choose between feeding your dog or buying this game, then that feeling of self-anointed moral superiority will more than make up for the dogless days ahead. Trust me. My dog died.

Smart characters are made dumb, expert survivors are transformed into amateurs camping in the woods and logic is thrown out of the window, so much that no matter how much suspension of disbelief you apply you cannot compute such nonsense.
    And if that was not enough, the story is a perpetual cycle of revenge, cruelty and hate in which you have no choices, or alternatives to chose from, just a straitjacket ride for you, the player. The ending is fittingly equally worse, like the entire game, from start to finish. I does not have a positive message, it does not teach you anything good or useful and most importantly it is not fun at all to play, it's more akin to emotional and mental torture - that's how playing this game feels. Isn't that the opposite of what games should be?

    The best analogy to describe this game would be this: imagine a person, a very good looking person, famous , with great charisma and a lot of wealth. Now this is what you know about that person and so far the promo is making you like what you know and to know that person more, but as you start your relationship you find out that this was an outer shell and it was a deceiving lie. That person turns out to be a very disturbed and deranged individual, that likes to torture and kill people for it's own pleasure and does that wile forcing you to watch this sadistic horror story, enjoying the reactions and feelings you have witnessing that, as a sociopath would. You have no choice in the matter, you cannot influence anything, you cannot save anyone, not even influence the ending, which is as bad as everything else - the proverbial nail on the coffin. Your only choice that you actually had was right at the beginning, to believe or to not believe the false advertising? To enter the rabbit hole or not...
    Oh, and get this, what if someone told you in advance how horrible that person is and showed you evidence to prove the facts?

    Now let me ask you this: would you give that person a 10/10? Because of looks, fame, charisma and wealth? No sane person would... Would you give it a 7/10? No. That kind of person would get at least a life sentence conviction, if not a death penalty from society, which is equal to a ZERO as a grade.
    This game is the equivalent of that in game rules and that is why it deserves a ZERO, so **** like this does not get encouraged to be made again in the future. But who am I kidding here, there is no stopping this trend, because this is what the future is, this is the narrative pushed forward... we can see it both in movies and in video games. So it will happen again and more frequent as time goes by.

    main reaons people fell in love with the LOU is the story behind ellie and joel where we we baited into thinking it would be another adventure for them. This changes very quickly within the first 2 hours of the game where joel is brutily murdered by the character that we're forced to play as for half the game.

    That brings me to my second point, the game is very linear aside from 1 or 2 open ended areas and feels more like an interactive movie than it does a playable video game, often just walking place to place or being placed into a cutscene, the Cordyceps infected are only in the game a handful of times making them feel like humanity isn't really under threat from them that much anymore. To put it into perspective what I mean about it being an interactive movie, a notable streamer had someone in his chat chart up just how much of what he played in 4 hours was actual gameplay, it came to 33 minutes OUT OF FOUR HOURS.

    Save your money and wait for Ghosts of Tsushima, or buy Persona 4 Golden on PC if your money is burning a hole in your pocket. For fans of the first game the story is simply insulting, killing Joel in such a horrific and unceremonious manner, Ellie and Joel not really having any interaction outside of flashbacks/the ending and you don't even get the cathartic pleasure of giving Abby a taste of her own medicine after forcing me to play as and TRYING to get me to sympathize with this psychopathic serial killing woman for half of the game...

The last thing to say is about the gameplay, which is the same but polished, but in 2020 is dated and to this day many other games had made a better shooting or stealth gameplay like GEARS 5.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
