    For a mega title from a mega corp, what a disaster.

    Let's be honest, take Star Wars out of the title, you got an average game. Take the graphics out, you got a bad game. A franchise name and graphics are all that saves it. No support. Long delays in updates. No concrete communication. No "live service" as promised. Gameplay is a C+ to B-. But the balancing is always off,    For a mega title from a mega corp, what a disaster.

    Let's be honest, take Star Wars out of the title, you got an average game. Take the graphics out, you got a bad game. A franchise name and graphics are all that saves it.

    No support. Long delays in updates. No concrete communication. No "live service" as promised.

    Gameplay is a C+ to B-. But the balancing is always off, never properly corrected.

    Just a casual shooter worthy of an hour here or there. Not the SWBFII we expected post SWBF 2015.    … Expand

I had high hopes for the singleplayer, but I was pretty disappointed how it turned out. The campaign is around 4 hours, I honestly didn't really enjoyed it, the best parts were the space battles. Obviously, the thing that sells this game, are those beautiful graphics! After the mediocre campaign, I jumped right into the multiplayer, hoping that its better. No. It wasn't. The multiplayer was so unfair do to the pay to win system, which EA has created. For months it was a big giant mess. But after around 2018 EA has finally made some changes. They got rid of the loot crates. Well, most of it. You can now only buy them from in-game credits. They also changed the messy star card system. They added 3 new heroes, 1 new map and the time when I am writing this review, Anakin is nearly out with a new game mode. After this, I can only say one thing. Is this what took so long? I would want to give it a higher score, but after all the launch problems I listed, I can't give it a higher score than a 7.… Expand

    The combat is not fluid, especially when playing as Kylo Ren who seemed to respond to my commands at his own will.     Let’s start with the campaign, this will be short just like the length of the campaign itself. It’s fine, nothing more nothing less. It takes around 4 hours. It’s predictable and simple, verging on boring at times, it doesn’t really fill in anything in terms of the story between the films. It’s fine.

    I have played the online when it first came out and after the most recent updates and honestly don’t think the difference is that major. Yes if people have either played it more or previously purchased the loot boxes you are at a disadvantage. However if you persevere you will hold your own, it’s not difficult just slightly frustrating at times but you will have matches where you do exceptionally well and place in the top 5 (even without decent upgraded star cards). The modes are fun, particularly the flying stands out to me and makes me want another Rogue Squadron game. Heroes are overpowered but you would kind of hope so.

    The battle scenarios are quite honestly pointless. They are what you would expect about 15 years ago when playing against the AI before online games were a thing. It is really just a tutorial for playing as the heroes masquerading as a mode.

    Overall this is a good game that does not deserve the hate it is getting. It has been in the headlines for its micro transactions and they have since adjusted this. The game does not have a season pass and they update it with new content. People need to stop hating for the sake of hating. I have played many games over my life and could never truly say this game is a 1, look at it critically and honestly not just based on the fact it’s cool to hate on EA and jump on the bandwagon.    … Expand

    The gameplay and mechanics of the game is awesome, beautiful graphics and animation, multiplayer is awesome and such an improvement from the first one, Free DLC and still more to come. i really like this game but the Story could have been better, too short and repetitive gameplay.

People grind to earn credits each match just to unlock heroes, which is certainly a problem. The fact that you get more credits when a match is longer in time is ridiculous since a player with 17 kills canIn release, this game's progression system and loot box use (Star Cards, Emotes, etc.) was awful. The fact that you get more credits when a match is longer in time is ridiculous since a player with 17 kills can and may have the same credits as a person with only deaths in the leaderboard. Heroes and classes were also unbalanced, and some maps and vehicles may be glitchy at times. Over the months though, EA fixed the loot box system, made each hero free and tried their best to balance every hero and class equally, added more maps and heroes via seasons, added regular and hero skins, and many more. Season 3, or the Clone Wars season is also coming up very soon, and that is something players can be excited about. Despite all the changes and improvements EA added into this game, players just can't simply forget their undeniable mistakes from the past, and even up to date. Giving 5 as a score to this game, Star Wars: Battlefront II, is forgiving in all aspects.… Expand

    Besides the microtransactions controversy, the single player mode with the free DLC is very good. Nice story, a little too short but nice graphs and concept.

    Dear all. The game is now one year on from release and the huge disappointing boxes and overall game. I like other pre-ordered the game and didn't play it after a few weeks,....... until last week. The amount that the game has improved since those days is unbelievable. Not just additional content (greivious, Kenobi, crait, geonosis, ewok hunt, extraction) but as well as core gameplayDear all. The game is now one year on from release and the huge disappointing boxes and overall game. I like other pre-ordered the game and didn't play it after a few weeks,....... until last week. The amount that the game has improved since those days is unbelievable. Not just additional content (greivious, Kenobi, crait, geonosis, ewok hunt, extraction) but as well as core gameplay changes with the squads system, nerfs on things that were previously OP as well as the game in general being more fun to play. As well as removing loot boxes from the game and unlocking nearly all the heroes in the game for free. THIS GAME IS NOW GOOD, Im glad to say and though there are still improvements too make, Id recommend you get this game for any price under $40/ pounds because the game can only improve with no season pass.… Expand

    After playing almost 500 hours of star wars battlefront 2 in my opinion the best of the series of games battlefront, the story company is not perfect, but it tells about the gap in the history of star wars. Loot boxes in the beginning were sold and everyone could buy them and immediately pump the characters, soon they were removed. I did not buy loot boxes and quietly played as before, asAfter playing almost 500 hours of star wars battlefront 2 in my opinion the best of the series of games battlefront, the story company is not perfect, but it tells about the gap in the history of star wars.     Campaign is OK at best, it was not the best campaign I have ever played but most certainly not the worst. The multiplayer is pretty good which is the main reason this game is a 8/10 to me.

    Micro-transactions ruined that game. Pay or grind for 12 hours. The multiplayer is no fun at all. And the campaign was okay, but that's all. Sadly, the campaign was the only thing I enjoyed a little bit. It's so sad what EA made of the Star Wars franchise. Don't buy this game!

    DICE sure has shown us how to make a great comeback with a game which was destroyed by public opinion at launch. With no loot boxes anymore and tons of content added since then (Clone Wars heroes, skins, maps, reinforcements, droidekas, DROIDEKAS), it feels another game. If you are a Star Wars fan, there's no reason why you shouldn't have it.

    The Game ist much better noww than at Release. All the People voting Negative dont even play the Game at its current state. There are a lot of great classes the hero pool is pretty big and the maps are visually stunning. This game is a must buy considering you can get it for 10 bucks on keyseller sites.

    Star Wars Battlefront II has a variety of fun game modes and heroes, which span different Star Wars eras. The game has been drastically improved with a good progression system and often released free new content. The game has no pay to win elements and all microtransactions are for cosmetics.

    Game had a rough start but the game has had so much support in the last year and a half! New heroes, new reinforcements, new vehicles, new game modes, new maps, and soon new planets! This has to be one of the best comebacks in gaming history. The dev team has done so much for this game and the community. Definitely give it another try if you haven't already

    I joined Bf2 after the loot boxes were removed so never witnessed that controversy. The game has gone from strength to strength over the past year and is a total joy to play.

    Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
