    Хороший платформер для детей, или для олдов. Единственное что бесит это экономика, можно было сделать цены на "лопатки" меньше. A good platformer for children, or for olds. The only thing that infuriates this economy is that it was possible to make prices for the “shoulder blades” lower.

    Абсолютный шедевр, бастарды даже не догадываются, сколь изумительна эта игра, плавнейшие анимации, качественная графика, геймплей не заставляющий тебя кидаться в монитор чем попало. Больше и говорить нечего... 12/10

Но при этом расположение итемов глобального квеста - лопаток, очень хорошо сделано - показывает не на прямую, но с интересными подсказками.    … Expand

    Battle for Bikini Bottom is a real treat, and honestly the fact that it exists would warrant a 10/10 from me, however I must acknowledge those who had not had the pleasure to experience the original, if you’ve not played the original either don’t play or go in with an open mind, keeping the fact that this is a platformer from the early 2000’s and is very much a product of its time.

    That being said the game is a wonderful recreation of the original and fans of the original will be very pleased with this, baring a few inaccuracies, the game is a one to one remake of the original and as was the original the game is a treat for spongebob fans, especially those of the first three seasons.

    The game would have got an 8 from me had it not been for the multiplayer mode, the mode is a very sad attempt at adding the robo squidward bossfight and a major disappointment. Overall this is an amazing game for fans of the original and probably for kids. I’m loving it so far but the fact that it’s an older game should not be ignored.    … Expand

    Didn't play the original, but I thoroughly enjoyed this. The platforming feel really tight and easy to control. The late game challenges are rewarding. All in all a very well rounded collectathon.

    I haven't even played past Patrick's portion of Jellyfish Fields yet, so take this review for what you will, but I have played the original enough to write a strategy guide on it. I know this game like the back of my hand, and I can tell you after a half hour of playing the game that this version is just not up to snuff. I know this game like the back of my hand, and I can tell you after a half hour of playing the game that this version is just not up to snuff. If you're looking for a cheap game to keep your kids quiet, this will probably work for you, but it lacks the imagination and creative ingenuity of the original 2003 release. If you're playing it as an adult because you enjoyed the original as a kid, this is most certainly not for you. For my money, I'd honestly sooner buy a refurbished PS2 to play the original game.

    There are already more bugs, oddities, and glitches in the first half hour of Rehydrated than i think I noticed in the entire original release. There are torn textures immediately as you enter Jellyfish Fields, the mouth movements look correct but are out of sync with the dialogue (how does that happen in 2020???), sound effects pop in and out, vibration is coded for SpongeBob but not for Patrick (seriously, how does this happen in 2020???) and several quality of life features that were present in the original are actually MISSING from Rehydrated such as the taxi that takes SpongeBob to each level and the bus for switching characters. That's right. The bus sign still exists and is how you switch between characters, but it just jerks the camera behind the character model and loads the new character model in while the camera jerks around. No bus, no nothing. It baffles me how they could get the game this wrong.

    As well, a few voice actors were unavailable in the original, such as Clancy Brown (the voice of Mr. Krabs) and Ernest Borgnine (the voice of Mermaid man) though their characters still appear and have voice roles on the game. Again, this was par for the course in 2003 where video games just didn't attract the same attention and budgets as they do now. But today, they really should've taken the initiative to remedy this. It's excusable for Mermaid Man, as Ernest sadly passed away back in 2012, though they could've seen about getting someone who sounded a bit more like Mermaid Man for the role. The less excusable exclusion is Clancy Brown as Mr. Krabs. Krabs has only a few lines of dialogue in the whole game! There's no reason that they couldn't have called Clancy in to re-record the lines. It likely would've only taken him one afternoon to record them all.

    The gameplay itself isn't all that bad, though it doesn't hold a candle to the modern platformers that we have access to today like Super Mario Odyssey . They didn't update the gameplay from the original 2003 release one bit, and you feel it. It just lacks the creativity and imagination most other platformers that exist today have in spades. Remember how I said this would be fine for your kids if you wanted a cheap game to distract them for a bit? Well, if you actually wanted to ENTERTAIN them, I'd recommend Mario Odyssey, Donkey Cong Country, Rayman, Celeste, or A Hat in Time before I ever recommend Rehydrated.

    Battle for Bikini Bottom will forever have a place in my heart, and I will always love the original 2003 release. But if I had to choose between playing the original or this remaster? Pfft. There's honestly no reason not to play the original. It's worth the $200 to buy an original PS2 for the original release, especially considering all the other classics you'd get to play on the system as well. Sorry THQ & Purple Lamp. Maybe make a better product next time.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I cannot understand why IGN, Gamespot and many more give the game like 5/10 or even 2/10 because it delivers everything it was supposed to. It's a complete remake of the original from 2003 and it still has its old charm. I completed it at 100% and I don't regret anything while playing (so I don't felt like wasting time playing this and stuff like that). Surely the graphics aren't the best but I mean it's Spongebob and not GTA or The Last of Us and it's 30$ which is a pretty sweet price for a remake of one of the best 3D platformers.… Expand

    Brilliantly remastered. New animations and a new paint cost make the game feel phenomenal. However not perfect. Certain small snags like when going into a boss fight the game doesn't replenish your hit points. Also small cases of hit detection not registering but only when confronted with an abundance of enemies. Other than that it is an excellent remaster.

    A great game to play not only for kids but even teenagers and young. Graphic is good for sponge bob game and the story is also fantastic. It is a beautiful remake for ps2 sponge bob game and I think we will be happy if there comes another remake for ps5 too.

The story basically isn't there Planton's robots take over and it is up to you as Spongebob and friends to do something. This games vibrant colors are truly in your face, great 3D platformer to begin a child and or polish your skills for the genre, quirky voice acting and fun mini missions. This game is an absolute blast and I am so glad this generation of children will get to play such a greatEvery bit as nostalgic, every bit as fun. The game feels, and sounds exactly the same as it did as a young gamer.     This Game is the definition of a fun Game and a good and faithful Remake. It has so much charm and is very welcoming. For younger kids it could be a bit difficult because its a 1 to 1 remake of a ps2 game but its nothing too hard. It certainly can create the Nostalgia that the Original created so many years ago. The controls are very good and very responsive and the music, level design,This Game is the definition of a fun Game and a good and faithful Remake. It has so much charm and is very welcoming. For younger kids it could be a bit difficult because its a 1 to 1 remake of a ps2 game but its nothing too hard. It certainly can create the Nostalgia that the Original created so many years ago. The controls are very good and very responsive and the music, level design, and overall feeling is very cozy. Only flaws i know of at the moment are too loud sounds (like opening a gate or respawning in goo lagoon) or the teleport box sound and hitbox to jump in, but those could be patched. A very good platformer and on of the best of this generation. 9/10… Expand

    So this game is almost a perfect remaster of the original. It has the feel of the original with new and fresh contet added, while not strifing away too far from the original formula, it's great. Sadly tho, the switch version has a lot of perfomance issues. I have the switch port, and while it's alright, it's annoying at times so yeah, 9/10.

    I love this game. This is my childhood and I love it for being the same as before. Nearly no changes and the game I loved made new.

    Remaster done with care. Took what worked about the original and amplified it. Didn't notice any of the original's problems. I was afraid of the game being dumbed down, but it's challenging and it's fun and that is all that matters.

To the people who worked on this game, y'all did Stephen Hillenberg proud with his Spongy little hero.

    This game is perhaps the best remake for platforming games. Most developers ask for $40 or more for these type of games, but these developers are only asking for $30. This game is good for a $30 game. The level design and puzzles are great. The gameplay mechanics and controls are smooth. The story and characters are funny. Too many invisible walls made the game a bit annoying however.This game is perhaps the best remake for platforming games.     The developers added a new multiplayer mode and it's fun. it is a 2-player co-op mode where you have to survive waves of enemies as you progress to islands. You can play online or local. Most developers are too lazy and greedy to add multiplayer in their games and have the audacity to charge $40 or more. The fact that the developers added multiplayer in a $30 game shows that they actually want players to have fun, rather than making cashgrabs. I definitely recommend this game.    … Expand

    As someone who has played the original game for the PS2, I can confidently say that this remake is just how I remembered BFBB. The graphics and visuals are absolutely stunning and are so much fun to look at. The voice acting is perfect and I can tell that the voice actors put a lot of effort into each voice line. The only issue I have is that the controls feel kind of clunky. The loadingAs someone who has played the original game for the PS2, I can confidently say that this remake is just how I remembered BFBB. The graphics and visuals are absolutely stunning and are so much fun to look at. The voice acting is perfect and I can tell that the voice actors put a lot of effort into each voice line. The only issue I have is that the controls feel kind of clunky. The loading screens in between deaths take a bit too long. The multiplayer is OK at best, I'm not a big fan of the fact that it is only limited to two players max. I feel like it could've been four players but that's just me.

    This is a glitch-filled mess of a remake. A lot of the glitches are funny, but I've also had saves fail and save files get corrupted. I've seen people unable to progress or get 100% in the game due to bugs. It's tragic because Battle for Bikini Bottom is a fun game and a great time if you're a Spongebob fan, but you should probably save your money until all these glitches get patched outThis is a glitch-filled mess of a remake.     Great to see a fantastic remaster of an old classic, Bikini Bottom never looked so great lol. Old bosses were fun to battle again and the nostalgia trip back into this game was great addition to a memorable generation of games on the PS4.

    + My god, this game feels and looks amazing. It's a series tie-in 3D collectathon with light combat elements and a handful of playstyles to play around with. Getting right to the positives:

    + My god, this game feels and looks amazing. The presentation is nothing short of amazing and yet held so simple.

    + The subtle changes and quality of live improvements this title gives are greatly appreciated. Tedious long sections are made much narrower and quicker, allowing for the game to be at its best almost the entire playthrough.

    + Collection items are cleverly hidden and the main objective always lies around the core mechanics of the platforming, with a few one-off playstyle passages to change things up a bit, which is already a major plus

    + Controls are even slightly tweaked to feel even better, and every character here feels snappy and so good to control. With the exception of Spongeball, I never really could get used to that scheme.

    ~I played with german voices as I grew up watching the cartoon only with german dub, and the voices of Plankton, Squidward and Mrs Puff weren't the original ones which are a bit of a bummer, though their replacements sound just fine. Don't really like how Plankton sounds though.

    ~Patrick seems much more... menacing and joyful in this game which is so strange. His walk seems so pressed towards and he feels like he strikes a lot more confidence, which plays down his character a fair bit, as the dialogue and the way he plays don't mix. This is more of a nitpick if anything.

    - While the game looks amazing, the game made some drawbacks in other areas. Animations are not consistent enough or feel way too unnatural, you can see some clipping in the eyes going on and various other hidden, but noticeable issues which makes the game feel rougher. I also ran into some visual glitches which weren't game-breaking but sucked the enjoyment out a little bit.

    Even if the game shows a bit more of its stinky side, this remake is without a doubt the version superior to the original and I definitely recommend picking this one up!

    Although the gameplay and character models feel refreshed (Patrick’s limbs are delightfully floppy), the level design pales when compared to newer 3D platformers. Fully remade,2 including a remastered soundtrack, Battle For Bikini Bottom proves to be fun on a technical level, but the barren worlds, many NPCs you cannot interact with, and vexing objectives (the rolling ball in Mermaid Man’s lair, anybody?) make it fun and frustrating in equal measure. Fans won’t want to leave this one at the bottom of the sea. [Issue#178, p.82]

    Lots of charm and lots of content, still worth the investment if you’re a nostalgic soul, looking for a fresh dose of bikini bottom action. Some aspects - the amount of texture pop-in, to name one - undeniably feel a bit dated, though.
