This is not resident evil 3, they changed everything, is not a bad game, but It is not the resident evil 3 remake that I paid for.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's Absolute a good game in 2020. RE2 is bad remake game no doubt, there is no different between 1st & 2nd game. But RE3? Definitely good remake game!!! So many part remake great. Especially Carlos part. i'm very enjoy the hospital, the environment almost freaking me out!!. The most players said the story is really too short, but the original have the same period of time. in the end I have to say, Thanks Capcom give me this great & classic zombie game!! Expand

Just play the game. The game deserves more, if you are disappointed with the game then give something between 4 and 7. There is no need to give this game a zero, the game is really good for old and new players. Will call this out for the greedy cash grab that it is. I was looking forward to playing this during the quarantine (ironic huh). Like many good reviewers already said, this feels like a good DLC and is not worth its price tag. I can see the Capcom in this game that gave us RE5,6 and other mediocre games

Pretty good remake. Although it was only a 8-9 hours long on story mode ,2 hours of cutscenes included..
All the characters are cool. Looks great. Many scenes put a big smile on my face.

And all that could have been.

Resident Evil 3 remake feels like a rushed cash grab off of the curtails of RE2make's success. As you play you just cannot shake the feeling that it could have been so much more than what it is. After the first hour or so you will find that it feels more like a trimmed down RE2make. All the aspects of RE2make which made it shine have been dulled down.

With Nemesis you never feel that you are being tracked down and hunted like you did with Mr. X. He appears in staged "events" and is gone almost as fast as he appeared. Many of the same locations from RE2make are seen again and they feel more like fan service than plot progression, answering questions no one asked.

Graphically speaking it does not look bad. But, it also does not look that much improved over RE2make. Many of the assets are identical to those found in RE2make. You will be fighting the exact same 6 zombies you fought in RE2make over, and over, and over. The later iterations of Nemesis do look awesome. And I really do like the look of the hunters. But just about every other enemy feels like a rerun.

The story and presentation feel like Michael Bay and J. J. Abrams wrote/directed it. It is all bang and flash eye candy with little substance and a heavy dose of the "just so happens." No matter what situation you find yourself in the solution "just so happens" to be not far away. The plot is thin and predictable and never captivates the player. There are no twists that you won't see coming a mile away. Ultimately, and quite possibly the biggest sin, it gets boring and derivative.

As far as game play goes there has only been a couple tweaks to the RE2make formula. The addition of the dodge is nice as well as the knife no longer having durability. But, it feels like the damage the knife does do has been reduced when compared to the durability knives from RE2make. If you are a fan of the puzzle aspects found in the original Resident Evil trilogy you will be sorely disappointed. If there are puzzles they are so mundane and trivial that you will not even recognize them as a puzzle.

The package as a whole feels more like a larger DLC content patch than it does a stand alone game. So, Is RE3make bad? No, not at all. It is playable and even enjoyable. But I can't help feeling disappointed when I think of what re3make could have been.

Their is a lot of good thing to this game but I’d like to start off with the bad stuff, the resistance mode isint the greatest but it’s okay it’s not terrible I don’t see myself going back to it but overall not terrible, it’s a bit more action oriented but that’s how the original game was on the Ps one, also theirs just something missing from it that makes this game not stand out as much as RE 2 did last year besides that the game is really good the graphics are great it’s one of the best looking games I’ve played the RE engine is truly fantastic, the gameplay is also great their a few improvements like how your knife doesint break anymore which was always annoying in RE 2 Remake also you have a lot more ammo which sometimes made me not be as scared in situations as I could’ve been also I like playing as Jill better than Carlos but his sections where a nice change of pace. Although Mr X was much more intimidating then Nemesis I enjoyed the spectacle of fighting Nemesis it was fun, Overall I’m not gonna lie I was a bit disappointed by RE 3 Remake but most of the time I was enjoying it and the 6 hours I spent in the game for me where worth the 60 dollars although a lot of people are complaining about how the game is so short it’s about the same length as RE 2 Remake which makes no sense to me I get that theirs two campaigns in RE 2 but you explore the same areas anyways I like the game a lot and I’d recommend it to anyone Expand

It's honestly a lot better than most people think or say it is. It is pretty small(~6 hours) and many assets originate from the RE2 remake, but is is still a very good game on its own right, with some good story telling and the best graphics I've pretty much ever seen. Also nemesis is terrifying, Jill and Carlos are awesome!

I can guarantee many of these negative reviews are simply band wagoners or haven’t even played the game. While the game is short, what is there IS amazing. I’d rather play a really great 5 hour game to a less stellar 30 hour game. If you enjoyed the RE2 remake you’re pretty much guaranteed to enjoy this as well.

Too Linear , spent more time running than Solving puzzles , exploring, experiencing the horror that should be there, etc. The game seems more similar to 5 and 6 in the action style Gameplay and I dont see much of the original in This.

Resident Evil 3 Remake is the best Resident Evil game I've played in a long long time. To me, the pacing was excellent, and every gameplay section was really cool and fun in some unique way. There was no extra boring padding or bloated feeling to the game. I took my time with the game and tried to collect as much as I could the first time around. It took me about 9 hours to complete. To me, it was a perfect length where the game didn't wear out its welcome. I'd rather the game be focused and shorter than a longer, bloated, drawn out game. Classic RE games usually tended to be shorter anyways, but because they were so tense and engrossing, they were a lot of fun. I love the Nemesis in this game. They did an excellent job on him and pleasantly surprised me. He is a badass adversary and I don't think I've played any other game where their was a villian or unique monster stalking you throughout an entire game. I felt this game was a step up from Resident Evil 2 remake and felt more complete. I loved how they mixed the environments up and had creepy indoor areas and then also bigger open areas. I loved the attention to detail in the apocalyptic areas of Raccoon City. They also did a better job with Jill and Carlos this time in relation to Leon and Claire from RE2. They seemed to have more personality and a modern one too that we can relate to without being too overly cheesy. The cinematics, controls, gameplay, audio design, graphics, and level design were all awesome. I also enjoyed how there were greater unique. creepy enemy variety this time as well as more grotesque enemies and boss encounters. The blood and gore was also very realistic and immersive. Resident Evil Resistance also seems like a good complement to the game. It seems to be of a quality product and have a decent replayability, so it helps strengthen the package. I hope Capcom continues to refine these new RE remakes as they move forward into the future and keep the excellent RE core foundational gameplay they have finally nailed again! Expand

Resident Evil 3 Remake is nothing more than a RE2 Remake DLC...Capcom did a good job with latest DMC, RE1 &2 Remake, but now they became CRAPCOM again.

Not worth the $60, maybe $30 bucks

The multiplayer (Resistance) is a joke, played 1 match and deleted...slow matchmake, downgraded graphics and lag...total garbage

After a stellar remake of an arguably the best Resident Evil game ever made, Capcom has let down our expectations by giving us a more scripted, more linear survival horror action game that will probably be forgotten like so many sequels that have gone the path of less resistance when it comes to game design. RE3 make feels more like a DLC than a full-blown game.
