Nothing short of money-grubbing and laziness happened .

It pains me to write about how poorly the script was written, so I'm going to put that aside.
I only have one question for Capcom: did you even try to remain faithful to the source material?

These guys should be ashamed to release this half assed delivered garbage. I mean, isn’t it obvious that what made RE 2 remake a huge success was the entire nostalgia that the OG RE2 offered??? So why DELETE that from this one???!!

Instead you offer this online crap I am so tired of online gaming ruining EVERYTHING. You would think Capcom would be different with nostalgia games

He is in the company to make money. Yes, on the video he smiles, says that he loves all of you very much and appreciates every fan, but he really doesn’t care about your opinions. When there was a videoconferencing of investors before the release of remake 2 and they said that it would be released, I and another guy from France seemed to be interested in how canonical the remake would be (2), it would be a remake as a remake of 1 part or a restart, on that he replied (almost verbatim): "Everyone doesn’t give a damn about what happened a long time ago. Now it’s a new time and we need a new audience. And those who played early games will not even remember half, so the canon is what we are creating now" . 2. After Re7, when the game was kindly asked and asked for a remake2, he was very opposed and wanted to continue the story of Ethan. In general, he is very proud and feels himself the savior of the series. 3. Remake 3 was completely ready a month after the release of remake 2. They slowed down specially, they wanted to look at the fees, if they were worse, remake3 should have gone as a paid add-on. Model Jill, by the way, was ready after Leon, but before Claire. But Remake2 soared into the charts and then he advanced the decision to repeat the feint and sell Remake3 as a new game. For the entire time after the release of remake 2, only the menu was moved to the center, added dodging (with her flash her mother), the model of Nemesis and its form of mutation were slightly corrected. Everything. 4. Resistance was riveted almost on the knee, redoing and trimming the early version of the Battle mod for a remake2. To the question of why, “now games of a similar genre are fashionable (several players run away against one, such as Friday the 13th, I’m not interested in that honestly) and you need to enter the market, you need to try again to enter microtransactions, it’s profitable” (remember the first steps in Relevance2?). 5. He does not like spiders. Therefore, they are not. And in the concept of a remake of 1 part, the Black Tiger is cut almost immediately. At first I wanted to cut Lisa, but I watched Mr. X come in and now she is in his role. I hope they will redo everything, I will not get access to this info already, the investment contract ends in June. 6. In addition to the main game, there is a DLC with the working name Last escape - about Nicholas. He really likes him. Released or not - not in the know. There is a suspicion that they will not be released. They know that because of the short duration, the negative is now walking on the network. Of course, he doesn’t give a damn - the main thing is that they carry the loot, but from above they told the situation not to glow. 7. The old parts are generally very cold and rather negative. He says he would have done much better, redid a lot. Therefore, the Revelations series has now hung, he does not like the whole story with the Wesker. 8. The development is now part 8 (the very one that was restarted with this **** Ethan), the concept of remake1 and the outbreak for viar in the manner of chronicles (rail in the sense, but against the background of the recent half-life, they’ll probably remake something like that). Soon they should show something, I’m not specifically aware of it, I have nothing to do with these “two” remakes. 9. The re3.5 developments were taken in re8, he generally proposed re4,5,6 to throw out the new concept, make a remake of Veronica officially as part 4, but now as far as I know they don’t work on it, maybe the second studio is working, I don’t know Something like that. I have not been to the videoconferencing since January and I will not continue to cooperate. Since childhood, I had a dream to touch the series. Touched. At least in the form of an investor. I don’t like who now “directs” her. The development team doesn’t like Fabiano very much, the Japanese are more turned towards the fans and want to move the old universe, but the board of directors likes that the money for the series goes in large volumes with not very large budgets. If remake3 financially repeats the success of remake2 (God forbid surpasses), wait for the next cut.
    - Now a remake of 1 early concert. The script and all that. Fabiano does not like animal enemies, so under the knife went spiders, crows, worms. They barely barely persuaded Gennady. And the dogs. By the way, under the clock tower there should have been a basement with spiders. But the tower with them went to the same place as the cemetery with worms.

Other than the short RE3 campaign, the Multiplayer mode is just a cheap copycat to DbD. RE deserves much more creativity than this crap!
And I need an option buy RE3 or Resistance, not as a bundle.

What a disappointment. First and foremost the game is way too short for the price that it's being advertised as. A full $60 for a 2 hr game. This is not a remake title more like a DLC or "expansion pack" to RE2's REMAKE. The gameplay is nearly the same, few more action segments with Jill's action. And speaking of Jill not only did they take away any femininity the character had but CAPCOMWhat a disappointment. And speaking of Jill not only did they take away any femininity the character had but CAPCOM was dishonest about the original outfit! We were promised a original character pack with our preorder. So WHY in the heck is Jill in shorts and not her SKIRT from resident evil 3? This outfit has been used in RE1 Remake, Chronicles, and other titles. But now she gets shorts? Way to bend the knee Capcom, in the worst way possible. After watching others play and stream the game and my own brief time with it I quickly got a full refund from Steam.

With the difficulty cranked to Hardcore it will defineitly increase the length of the game. I did notice that Nemesis appeared less than in the original 1999 release but this didnt bother me at all because I felt that when he did appear it was way more impactful and tense. The game maintins in its majority the survival horror feel from the last game but it is at the same time much more full of action especially during the Carlos segments. I was really surprised when I finished the game and went online to see all the negative reviews I seriously thought the game would get way more praise than its getting. Another thing to mention is that after beating the campaign there is a unlock system that incites you to replay the story again to unlock new weapons, outfits and items, a feature that was missing in the previous game but at the same time this game replaces the mercenaries mode with the online multiplayer known as resistance. This was the only thing I really would say I disliked about the game but REsistance serves as a standalone part of the game and doesnt even have to be downloaded with the main game. I can't wait what more plans Capcom has in store to add to this game in the same vein that they did in Resident Evil 2 with free extra modes (Hopefully we get Mercenaries in the near future) and some cool paid outfit dlc's such as in REmake2. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As a whole, I feel the game is a solid 7/7.5 outta 10. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. It doesn't surpass the original for me, that'll always be my favorite RE. But it does a damn fine job of merging the two styles of RE into one little package. The game is really fun to play with the new mechanics at your disposal. The visuals are wonderfully detailed and vibrant, a stark contrast to the subdued hues of Remake 2. Splashes of color illuminate the chaos and despair Raccoon City finds itself in. Oh, and the score is beautifully redone for this retelling of RE 3. Each piece is haunting, adding tension to the locale and situations Jill finds herself unfolding.

With all that being said, I understand everyones gripes with the game. I may not share all of them such as the games length, but I feel some are pretty glaring:

. I feel as though they've could have merged the Park and Clock Tower as one area for us to explore, rather than just have it as a boss arena. It wouldn't have to have been both entire maps either, but something a little more substantial than just a backdrop for a boss would've been nice. Maybe you go through the Park to get to the Clock Tower because a rescue helicopter is stationed at the courtyard. You arrive only to find that Nemmy in his second form has annihilated the rescue team and you have to scale the tower to escape him.

. I REALLY wish they did more with Nemesis in the areas where you could explore. (Especially in his first form.) Asides from the Raccoon City streets, you're never actively pursued by him other than scripted sequences. I get why it was done for pacing reasons since it would've been way to stressful the entire time but still would've greatly enhanced his presence.

.The last one for me is the lack of The Mercenaries. That was such a nice little bonus when you first unlock it in OG RE 3 that the R3make feels admittedly incomplete without it. Hell, RE 2R had all of its old modes in some capacity, so it's especially jarring. I truly hope that Capcom can add it down the line in an update like they did with the Ghost Survivors.

Other than those, the only thing I would add are some more costumes and such. R3make is a fine game, I love it to bits. The characters feel more real than they've ever been and the story keeps you hooked throughout the duration. But it could've been even better with perhaps more time in the oven.

The zombie and monster Artificial intelligence is really bad, zombies would attack the walls insted of me.

The gore has been downgraded. The limbs of the zombies explode insted of falling off.
Mr. X was quite fun and a challenge, Nemesis is scripted and easy to take down.

Numerous part of the original game were cut off: clock tower, park, gas station, etc. Making the game super short even if is your first time playing it. It took me 4 hours to finish it.

For a zombie game it lacks of Zombies. Resident evil 2 remake had a lot of enemies roaming around the 4 stages, but in resident evil 3 for a freaking city there is no zombies at all.

There are no puzzles, that's a trade mark of the series.

It's not that it's a bad game. It controls well and it absolutely looks amazing, especially on the Pro and the HDR is implemented much better than 2 but that's about where it stops as far as it being superiorto RE2! For one Capcom cut so much material and locations from this game. The clock tower which played a crucial role in the original is gone (albeit in the background as an Easter egg) the park which was a nice change of scenery in the original had been cut to a connector area with no enemies and no Gravedigger boss fight!!!!! The Dead Factory which was such a creepy and cool place and featured the final fight with Nemesis is gone..... gone! Also Capcom had a chance to expand upon Raccoon City and really flesh it out but again it seems rushed. Sure it looks incredible and you can go in buildings but once you trigger the next story sequence your exploring is cut short and there's no going back. It's a big bummer. Speaking of Nemesis, he's supposed to be the big scary Tyrant that's superior to Mr X. Well he's not. Mr X in thd RE2 Remake legitimately frightened me! Running and hiding in a safe home or being on one floor and hearing his footsteps and not knowing where they were coming from was unnerving to say the least. They expanded upon the OG Mr X and made him a worthy adversary but they went the complete opposite with Nemesis! Most of the encounters with him are cinematic, quick timed events. There are s few encounters in the early part of the game that are scary but halfway through the pacing becomes bipolar!

It's also really short. About six hours and it's over and there's little incentive to replay it too. It seems the inclusion of Resistance was supposed to make up for the lack of content but it doesn't. I didn't buy RE Resistance, I bought RE3 Nemesis Remake! It's not that scary either. It looks amazing, controls great and Jill is reimagined perfectly! She's a believable badass protagonist but it's just sad she's stuck in this game!

There is cut content. Some of the design choices are iffy, and some of the late game story content and beats feel rushed. The beginning, middle and very end though are fantastically paced, action-y and at times scary, though not as scary as the RE2 Remake was. This is, probably, the weakest of the recent Resident Evil entries, but that is saying something about the series since I am still giving it a 7.

What is great about the game are the new story beats, new areas that are shown, further diving into the lore of the universe that wasn't expanded on in the original. If anything, I'd say this is kind of like... well, imagine a recut of a movie. The content in this game adds to the original. It adds overall. I feel like it is almost like a different campaign to the original game. New content. New twists. New characters and deaths. It is fresh, fun and worth your time.

Resident Evil 7 is a 9 and so is Re2Remake, this is a 7 because of its length, cut content and some of the rushed bits.

Even though it is a very successful game, you will feel a little disappointed. Compared to the remake of the second game, this one often loses its pace and it is impossible to get rid of the impression that there could and should have been more to this game. [Issue#303]

All we can say is that six hours of Resident Evil 3 is just enough - and we're aware that's both compliment and curse. [Issue#346, p.88]

After a stellar remake of an arguably the best Resident Evil game ever made, Capcom has let down our expectations by giving us a more scripted, more linear survival horror action game that will probably be forgotten like so many sequels that have gone the path of less resistance when it comes to game design. RE3 make feels more like a DLC than a full-blown game.
