    It took me a while to actually purchased this game because I had so many games I had to finish first. Finally in October 2020, I played it and it was so good. It was so nostalgic. It feels so familiar and I was instantly taken back to all those years when I first played the original. However, the new things added made game so fresh and modern.     Undoubtedly an excellent capcom's job. It was recreated very carefully. Beautiful graphics, good scenery without losing the essence of classic RE2.

Ich muss schnell sein, denn Tyrant ist hinterher - eine Tötungsmaschine, von der ich mich nur losreißen kann, aber nicht zerstören kann. In den engen Räumen der Polizeistation muss schnell und vorsichtig vorgegangen werden - Leon Kennedy wird bald diesen Albtraum verlassen.

    Als Capcom gerade ein Remake von Resident Evil 2 ankündigte, wartete ich auf die Rückkehr der Horrorklassiker und die Gelegenheit, erneut in die Geheimnisse der Polizeistation Racoon City einzutauchen, von jedem Geräusch in den Abwasserkanälen zu zucken und im Labor zu überleben. Einst war das ursprüngliche Spiel mein erster Horror, es gab mir viele Eindrücke, Tausende tote Nervenzellen und setzte die Messlatte für meine Erwartungen an das Genre. Und als mich der Anfang des Remakes von Resident Evil 2 mit einer Welle von Nostalgie überwältigte, stürzte ich tatsächlich in ein neues Spiel.

    Von der Passage des Originals sind nur Emotionen geblieben, einige Plotpunkte finden ihren Weg in die Erinnerung, aber ansonsten ist es fast eine neue Erfahrung. Das Game hat genug zu bieten, um den Spieler vor dem Bildschirm zu halten. Jeder Fund trägt noch etwas weiter mit sich und aktiviert ein neues Glied in der Kette der Ereignisse um die Charaktere herum.

    Ein Remake von Resident Evil 2 hält ständig in Spannung. Die perfekte Spannung, wo das Blut in den Adern kalt läuft. Es ist nicht nur ein ständiges Gefühl, dass jemand Sie gleich angreift, nein. Das Spiel durchdringt ständig ein Gefühl der Angst, zermalmt die Musik oder äußert die Stille.

    Gleichzeitig gibt es genug Rätseln , von denen einige Neuankömmlinge in die Knie gezwungen werden. Ich hatte zum Beispiel Schwierigkeiten mit der Einbeziehung von Elektrizität auf dem Parkplatz, aber in dieser Zeit gelang es mir, die gesamte Fläche zu reinigen und fast alle Türen zu öffnen. Auf der Karte wird dies äußerst bequem angezeigt - wenn alle Elemente im Raum gesammelt wurden und alle Fragen „geschlossen“ sind, werden sie blau und rot markiert.

    RE2 überraschte mich unangenehm mit der Anzahl der Gegner, die aus dem Nichts kamen. Es gab einen Moment, als ich ins Fotolabor ging, nahm ein Foto mit... beim Ausgehen standen vor mir zwei Zombies, die vorher nicht da waren. Das Fenster ist voll mit Holz, der Flur ist leer. WO KOMMEN DIE HER?!Das nervt. Auch Zombies, die mit 10 Kopfschüsse noch immer aufstehen und zur gleichen Zeit reicht ein Schuss für die anderen. Im Ernst? Solche Momente verderben den Eindruck nicht, aber sie sehen extrem seltsam aus.

    Neuer RE2 ist größer geworden. Wenn das Original an einigen Abenden fertig gespielt werden konnte, beträgt die Dauer einer Kampagne nun etwa 15 Stunden. Irgendwann, nach ein paar Stunden Horror Story lief das Spiel ganz ruhig ab und meine Nervenzellen haben begonnen sich wieder aufzubauen. Nix da! Eine ungewöhnliche Zwischensequenz oder ein neues Hindernis für die Hauptfigur lässt einen fast aufspringen. Du kannst ja nicht vorstellen, wie ich durch die Korridore der Polizeistation gerannt bin, als ich zum ersten Mal den Tyrant traf.

    Wenn du das Original nicht gespielt hast, ist es eine großartige Gelegenheit, den Klassiker kennenzulernen. Höchstwahrscheinlich wirst du dich an das Tempo des Spiels, das Format und einige Aktionen gewöhnen müssen. Zum Beispiel passte ich mein Verhalten nur beim vierten Treffen mit einem Zombie an. Für diejenigen, die sich an Resident Evil erinnern und die Überlieferungen des Spiels gut kennen, ist dies ein Grund, zurück zu gehen um die Erinnerungen zu erfrischen.

    Resident Evil 2 war ein farbenfroher und atmosphärischer Horror. Dich erwarten zwei Kampagnen, etwa 25 Stunden Spielzeit, heftige Schlachten mit Bossen, Rätseln und Geheimnissen der Umbrella Corporation. Und ich gehe meine Nervenzellen wieder aufbauen.    … Expand

    When the remake was announced it was met with alot of wonder. most expecting a remake akin to the first and some worrying an action romp like to resident evil 6.

For a game that requires multiple playthroughs of the same story in a largely linear way, I was surprised just how fantastic and addictive this was. Coupled with the difficulty and having to look at videos, i found this game not just something i sat down mindlessly playing but something I really had to concentrate on. I hadn't played the original so had no nostalgia. This was a new experience for me, one which I thoroughly enjoyed.

    Pros:

    I was genuinely scared when travelling down dark corridors - the zombie placements were really good.
    The sound is fantastic. This adds to the tension.
    If you like going for trophies and following guides, the game will definitely scratch an itch.
    Likewise the puzzles can be a real challenge for anyone looking to solve things independently.
    The A - B storylines work perfectly together.
    Shooting the zombies is really satisfying.

    Cons:

    Playing for extended periods of time got exhausting, especially when going for the speedruns.
    If you are looking to mow down waves of zombies you will be disappointed because more often than not you will run past them not killing them.
    The boss battles can be extremely challenging. On boss took me over an hour, 20-30 attempts to defeat.
    Mr X seems to turn up out of the blue at the most annoying points which I understand is to add to the challenge but created moments of extreme rage.

    Whilst I got extremely frustrated in places, I have to give this game a 9. It loses a point because it won't be a game that I will sink 1000s of hours into and if I think about the amount of content, there isn't a huge amount. What there is however, is an extremely tightly woven and polished game which plays fantastically well.    … Expand

    This game is amazing! Exchanging tight corridors and fixed cameras for darkness and eerie audio was a wise choice . I legitimately felt afraid...mostly of Mr. X and his stomping around the mansion. Visually RE2 looks astounding, I love how the zombies fall apart depending on where you shoot them. The replay value is a little limited but the DLC might improve that minor flaw. I appreciateThis game is amazing!     I don't really have anything bad to say about this game other than, personally, I feel like the leap that this game made to the more refined generation of consoles and gameplay makes for a bit more to be desired from a hardcore fan's perspective. Otherwise, near perfection!

    And I have to say, I'm glad I did.

    This was a hell of a game. Difficult, but not head-bangingly, teeth-grindingly so; it's achievable with patience and strategic use of items and weaponry. It had good horror- I'll be seeing Mr. X in my sleep from now on, thanks Capcom- and I really enjoyed Leon and Claire. I also liked that you could play from one perspective each.

    Also, though I know this runs contrary to popular fan sentiment, I was glad they decided not to do the spiders in the sewers. That would have put me off the game (I have bad arachnophobia, and my fear is directly proportional to the size of the spider), and I was relieved to see they'd replaced it with other monsters.

    The graphics were beautiful, the music was great, and overall I just really liked this one. I sincerely hope Capcom remakes the other RE games; I've already got a few of the PS4... Re-releases? I forget the word for when they adapt a game for a new system but don't actually remake it. Anyway, I'm getting into the rest of the series now, and I'd love to see remakes and new stuff from the developers.    … Expand

    Leon has the best rendered pouty lips I've ever seen in a game 10/10 would smooch in the rain. Gave it a 9 because they're only half the game, which itself plays great.

    The updated graphics, voice acting and gameplay was a great adaptation for this remake. It carries the spirit of the original game while looking beautiful in the process and remains a good horror game. The story is top notch and the characters are fun with a solid background.     I started only from RE4 so I was thrilled to see how the second entry of this series will be and I was amazed.
    The RE engine is just amazing and what it can handle, from the start I felt disgusted in a positive way from all the gore and felt immersed from the scary atmosphere.
    Also the item management and Mister X build so much tension that I never felt bored. There is just one thing    I started only from RE4 so I was thrilled to see how the second entry of this series will be and I was amazed.

    There is just one thing the developer could have done better.
    After playing both Leon (first) then Claire, I wished there story lines would tie in more together and would built more on each others actions.

    For example, why I extinguished the fire on the helicopter with Leon and in the second playtrough with Claire as well? I am aware it happened in the original RE2 too, but as the developer mentioned, RE2 is more of a reimagination than a remake, so I think they could have figured another way here.

    Beside of this I enjoyed this game to its fullest and can recommend it, can't wait to play RE3 Remake.    … Expand

    Awesome game. Honestly it was scary and really INTENSE, i even had a nightmare the first night that I played it! Now that says a lot. I would give it a 10 if I wouldn't now this is a remake. Still really worth it.

    Capcom did a great job on this game. We all know that the history is "almost" the same as the preview game released for playstation, I said it that way cos they incresead some moments at the NG version.
    Residente Evil 2 is a masterpiece thanks to the new sound effects (you can switch to the original) and the new enemie, MR. X, that brings even more horror to the gameplay. You must play it.

My main gripe is how Leon and Claire’s plotlines overlap kind of sloppily (i.e. In Leon’s campaign you see Claire at a fence outside of the station, but in Claire’s campaign Leon is the one outside of the station - so that kind of ruins the continuity) where campaigns differ only by access to a few rooms, weapon loadout, and one ally sub-quest. The zombies are more difficult to kill and you can’t exploit the ol’ infinite knife anymore (at least not by default).

    In response to several of the negative reviews, I don’t understand the problems. Yes, the zombies take a ton of bullets. They’re zombies. Who cares if you used 12 bullets and it’s not dead? No, you can’t shoot from cover or exploit any stupid arena-shooter features. Go play that atrocity RE6, or the slightly-better RE5 and enjoy quicktime events and “zombies” that leer like Yakuza henchmen, do dirtbike wheelies and tote AK’s. Yes it sucks when Tyrant chases you. It’s annoying to say the least, but it’s also SCARY which is the point because you don’t know exactly where he is and he will always be stalking you during certain parts of the game. And to the purists, screw the canon. The original plots and dialogue were ridiculous to begin with. Why be offended that this awesome game’s laughable plot is only 90% consistent with the laughable plot from 20 years ago? The important thing is the fear factor. /end rant    … Expand

    Unfortunately, we're a long way from Shinji Mikami's masterstroke with his legendary Resident Evil for Nintendo GameCube in 2002 (Best Remake Ever). But Resident Evil 2 Remake has at least the merit of being "THE SURVIVAL-HORROR" and "THE REMAKE" of the generation.

    For the comparison with its original version, there is unfortunately no photo (at least for the old ones), Resident Evil 2 of 1998 is a tone above thanks to a better control and an indescribable aura (monsters, scenario B, the lab, the sewers, the atmosphere, the music, the fixed camera, the pre-calculated render etc).

    Anyway, congratulations to you Capcom, it's the best Resident Evil since Shinji Mikami's departure, vivement le Remake du 3 and Code Veronica.    … Expand

    When i was young this game scared the hell out of me but now i know the whole story and with the remake and the new graphics... it still scared the hell out of me..... this is the kind of game that brought back memories and looks fantastic, thank you very much.

    This is honestly what I wish the Resident Evil 1 Remaster was. The story was captivating despite it being a zombie game, to which there are many of, and the gameplay was tense and strategic forcing me to consider how to conserve ammo. My only issue is the aiming, for while the game controls well, I usually like to play shooters on PC so that I can aim more precisely with a mouse ratherThis is honestly what I wish the Resident Evil 1 Remaster was. The story was captivating despite it being a zombie game, to which there are many of, and the gameplay was tense and strategic forcing me to consider how to conserve ammo. My only issue is the aiming, for while the game controls well, I usually like to play shooters on PC so that I can aim more precisely with a mouse rather than having to keep adjusting a joystick, although that's just a personal preference.     This game is absolutely amazing!
    The atmosphere is tight, scary, and tense. The police station is one of the best video game locations ever, it's just so good and memorable! Tyrant constantly chasing you is also a great addition to the game, as it requires your fast thinking, and pushes you to think fast.
    Definitely one of the best remakes ever. My top favorite game!

The music and atmosphere is great. After completing the game 2 times (that’s how much it needs to be completed to complete the plot), I thought it was 10/10, but the plot had serious failures, because You didn’t play a parallel story, but an alternative one. Be prepared for this. (It didn’t affect my impression, but still). Before my review, I found the review in a negative way, and in particular, I was ready to agree with it. Because I didn’t play the original, I didn’t know that if you took a bag and a unique weapon for Leon in the first passage, then in Clair 2, they would not be there. Thus it can be said that
    Capcom was tricked. But despite this, this is a great remake and to feel it, put hardcore :) My rating is 9/10. Enjoy the game)    … Expand

    The puzzles were good, but I felt like they got a little drawn out towards the end of the game. Yet I still really enjoyed the game. Adding Mister X, hunting you down the entire game, most definitely added a huge kick to the horror aspect to the game. Or at least, really built up a lot of the suspense.    … Expand

    If Resident Evil 7 hasn't proved to you that the franchise still has a lot to offer in terms of horror. Than the RE2 remake definitely will. With so much replayability, and some of the best graphics and gore I've ever seen in a horror game. This truly deserves to be called best video game remake ever.

    Having never played the original RE2, this was a chance for me to play essentially a new Resident Evil game. I think it's a little odd how the rooms work now, but it is better with the RE4 point of view. I haven't finished it because I got too spooked when Mr. X killed me, either way it is a very fun game and I highly recommend it.

    might be one of the best horror game ever, story is so so, but horror element surprises are very good.After 1st playthrough speed run is fun to do. Puzzle are very simple and some part of game is frustrating if you dont know what to do

    JUGABILIDAD. Jugablemente este título es casi perfecto y mejora por mucho al original.

    HISTORIA. La historia es un poco peor que en el original ya que suprimen el escenario B a favor del escenario 2. Además siguen las incoherencias del original.

    DIVERSIÓN. La diversión en este juego empieza con el primer zombie al que enfrentas, manteniéndose hasta el final.

    GRÁFICOS. El juego luce espectacular y muy fluido (60fps)

    SONIDO. La banda sonora del original era perfecta. En este juego han decidido quitar la música para poner sonidos y ruidos ambientales. El doblaje al español es bastante bueno.

    DURACIÓN. La primera partida te puede durar 10h, pero estas aumentan con los distintos modos de juego que tiene y su gran rejugabilidad.

    La conclusión es que este re2 remake es una obra maestra y juegazo que supera al original menos en la historia. Muy recomendado. Mi GOTY 2019, antes de probar Death Stranding.

    HISTORY. The story is a bit worse than in the original since they suppress scenario B in favor of scenario 2. They also follow the inconsistencies of the original.

    FUN. The fun in this game starts with the first zombie you face, staying until the end.

    GRAPHICS. The game looks spectacular and very fluid (60fps)

    SOUND. The original soundtrack was perfect. In this game they have decided to remove the music to put sounds and ambient noises. Spanish dubbing is pretty good.

    DURATION. The first game can last 10h, but these increase with the different game modes it has and its great playability.

    The conclusion is that this re2 remake is a masterpiece and great game that surpasses the original less in history. Highly recommended. My GOTY 2019, before trying Death Stranding.    … Expand

    The story feels a bit plain and dated though and the writing doesn’t feel very modern, but since it’s a remake this isn’t really a bad thing.

    + Graphics and atmosphere are great
    + Tense survival action with loads of RE-hallmarked ”Yes I made it! Aw **** now I gotta go back through there again”-moments
    + Nostalgia

    - Voice acting and writing feels shallow and quite unengaging (I can’t imagine anyone reacting to a mutated 10-foot abomination with a casual ”This HAS to be a joke.”)
    - The story feels very ”90’s”

    In particular, the love story sub-plot between Leon and Ada is incredibly cringe-worthy. It’s a good thing he didn’t stay on the force being so gullible and prone to manipulation.

    But all in all, it’s a remake that stays very true to its original while doing an incredible job of face-lifting both graphics and gameplay to make it feel modern and engaging.

    RE2 comes back and kicks ass! Everything in this game deserves praise. RE2 pushed me to have long sessions just to see what happens next - it's nice to once again see the characters that we love and care about. Also, thanks to grat graphics and design the game creates a fantastic horror atmosphere: a must-play title for all the horror fans.

    Annette morre em 2 momentos diferente, Leon e Claire mau se encontram e o gameplay é idêntico pra ambos os personagens, mas o jogo é bonito, divertido, aterrorizante, nostálgico, trouxe muitas novidades, aprofundou muito mais na história dos personagens e a dificuldade esta na medida certa! Muito mais pontos positivos que negativos, só não dei nota 9,5 porque não tem como.

    Great game! I went back to play it after the HORRIBLE RE3 Remake. This is the amount of content we should have for $60, not a 5-hour campaign with a repeated boss fight.

    I really liked that many things remained similar to the old Resident Evil 2. Beautiful game, very nice but simple puzzles. Mister X puts too much anxiety.

    Resident Evil 2 is a remake of the ps1 classic by the same name, and with my limited knowledge of the original and therefore lack of nostalgia, I can safely say this game is downright flawless... with a few flaws. For starters regardless of your decided order, you will repeat    An amazing game on its own, and a fantastic remake, I think, I never played the original, but I've heard that.

    Resident Evil 2 is a remake of the ps1 classic by the same name, and with my limited knowledge of the original and therefore lack of nostalgia, I can safely say this game is downright flawless... with a few flaws. For starters regardless of your decided order, you will repeat boss fights in the B campaign, even when it breaks canon, playing Leon B was definitely soiled a bit by the fact I had to do the exact same boss fight in the exact same way with the exact same outcome earlier when I played as Claire in the "A Scenario" That, by the way is this games gimmick, its A and B scenario. If you decide to play as Claire's A Scenario first, you will then unlock Leon's B Scenario, which can be reversed by picking Leon first and then Claire, giving this game a total of 4 ways to play it if you want full completion, albeit with minor differences, but hey, whatever gives me another excuse to keep playing.

    The story this time around is fairly simple, it is a Resident Evil game after all, you play as either Leon S. Kennedy of RE4 fame, as a rookie cop moving to Raccoon City, and as Claire Redfield, a college student trying to find her brother, Chris from the first game, two very basic characters coming off the back of the first game where we played as a Special Forces unit, not that I'm complaining, they definitely grow into more hardened and comically badass characters by the end, spouting one liners that would even make Barry "Jill Sandwich" Burton proud. When our characters make it into the city, they find it overrun by zombies created from the G-Virus, a mutagenic evolution of the T-Virus created by Dr. William Birkin which spreads after Umbrella shoots him to near death and the Vials containing the virus breaks, mutating Birkin and spreading as a result. Later in the game we both fight Birkin and find his daughter, Sherry Birkin who, in Claire's campaign, we're tasked with protecting, we also find his wife, who's far more involved with everything than we realize at first, as for Leon's campaign, it's the first time we meet Ada Wong, she is however teased in the first game as her name is the password for a scientist known as John in the underground lab of the Spencer Mansion, to my knowledge, Ada never makes mention of John and it's largely gone forgotten, but conceptually she was looking for John in the original RE2 before she was changed to being the sexy, treacherous, Revolver Ocelot-like character we all know and love today. There's also characters such as Marvin, an infected cop we meet at the precinct, what I love about Marvin is the different way's he treats Leon and Claire, he knows Chris, and knowing Claire is his sister, he's very nice and patient with her, while with Leon, he's far more stern and authoritative, while still treating him with a manner of kindness, as Leon's higher up, he's a great character and I wish we got to see more of him. Then there's the kind of villain Chief Irons, he's comically evil and I find him pretty unimpactful, but with him out of the way we can talk about the real big bad, Mr. X, or officially, "Tyrant" sent by Umbrella to deal with anybody who could leak information about their involvement in the incident... I THINK, he's not really explained here, he just IS, I'm sure supplementary material clears this up but that's not the game is it?! Mr. X is a big hulking... well Tyrant, he'll stalk you around the police station, never giving up, and for the most part, he's an entirely natural part of the game, he reacts to your actions fluidly, and may not show up in the same place twice if you happen to die and replay a section, keeping you on your toes at all times, never sure just where he is. To make matters better, youtubers like Boundary Break have shown, he is an active entity in the game, not one that just teleports outside a door occasionally to spook you, he's always walking around, ever present, all the time.

    Gameplay wise, it's a standard third person shooter affair, nothing fancy, but it works very well, the camera is over the shoulder, giving us a good view of the character model and our surroundings at all times, I think it fits the series perfectly, far better than the first person camera of the non-remake games.

    To end it, I think RE2 excels as a game, I can't judge how it holds up as a remake, but on its own merit, it's worth your time and then some.    … Expand

    Fantastic semi-open design with a lot of secret items,weapon upgrades and other cool stuff!

    Aunque se echa en falta algo de puzzles y, en menor medida, algunos enemigos clásicos, las criaturas G, o los lickers son muy duros de pelar, por lo que no eclipsa el entretenimiento. Su modo hardcore está deliciosamente bien llevado. Los extras (gratuitos, una joya a día de hoy), dan un margen de desafío bueno, y ver a 5 "tofus" ha sido una pasada. El DLC de la banda sonora es muy barato, y mejoró otro aspecto que me pareció flojo (aunque aquí me pega la nostalgia en el corazoncito). Lo recomiendo mucho más que la re-imaginación que hicieron de la tercera entrega.

    El principal punto negativo que he de exponer, es que el clásico "zapping system" ahora está ausente, lo que afecta a la continuidad. Pero por entretenimiento y desafío está muy a la altura. Como fan de la saga le daría un 9, dentro de su género (juego de ciclo corto de 3 h cuando ya te lo has pasado, en las siguientes rondas), aunque no alcanza ni en broma a pesos pesados como God Of War, RDR2, Bloodborne, Sekiro, The Witcher 3... ojo, que sigue siendo muy disfrutable.    … Expand

No solo aporta al apartado visual del original, sino que transporta toda esa atmósfera tenebrosa que en nuestra niñez sentimos con el original. La primera campaña nos hará investigar cada rincón de los escenarios, sorprendiéndonos con cada detalle y enfrentamiento, y aunque la segunda vuelta sea menos impactante, noResident Evil 2 es todo lo bueno que puedes esperar de un buen remake.     This is EXACTLY how remakes should be handled. Resident evil 2 is a masterpiece of horror. The puzzle solving, the terrifying atmosphere, the polished gameplay and Mr. X all make this an absolute must play. This quickly became my favorite entry in the franchise.

    Este juego es una oda al survival horror y al cine de antaño de george romero, donde coge clara influencia, los puzzles están muy bien diseñados donde habrá partes que te requerirá mucho esfuerzo, la sensación de inferioridad es constante, la falta de recursos, el numero de zombies en algunas zonas, la movilidad tosca pero muy bien diseñada o los combates contra jefes donde el diseño esEste juego es una oda al survival horror y al cine de antaño de george romero, donde coge clara influencia, los puzzles están muy bien diseñados donde habrá partes que te requerirá mucho esfuerzo, la sensación de inferioridad es constante, la falta de recursos, el numero de zombies en algunas zonas, la movilidad tosca pero muy bien diseñada o los combates contra jefes donde el diseño es imponente, su mayor punto fuerte es tyran donde es realmente ahí cuando sentimos el terror y eso combinado con los pasillos estrecho y con falta de iluminación en la comisaría donde realmente te transmite esa sensación y te obliga a saber al dedillo todo el mapa y saber en que zonas es mas probable que haya zombies donde un conjunto de 3 o 4 puede ser realmente retador, el apartado técnico es una autentica brutalidad el re engine funciona perfectamente y damos gracias al ver algo así tan bien optimizado, los efectos de sonidos son perfectos y te ayuda tanto como te temoriza, la historia es simple a principio donde adquiere mucha fuerza esta sensación de terror, pero luego se esperpentica en su sentido literario, donde se da pie a un sentido más de acción, si te gusta la sensación de miedo y no sustos aleatorios, el survival horror este titulo es obligatorio en tu biblioteca, podemos decir que es un clásico inmediato por lo bien que ha llevado la influencia del anterior y como lo ha mejorado en ciertos sentidos, pero esto no quita que tenga algo malo y es la incoherencia que exudes entre las campañas a y b, donde cambia por así decirlo 4 cosas y te venden en si la misma historia que has jugado anteriormente, aunque al no ser un juego extremadamente largo y bien realizado no te duele del todo volver a repetir esas historias y puedes disfrutar los cambios realizados.… Expand

    I loved this game I wish like the dodge they have in number 3 was in this game n unbreakable knife but still loved it. I hope they do remake number 4 and make it like this game just with some of the cool features like dodge n unbreakable knife from # 3 in # 4. But also hope they make it better cuz its newer but still keep a lot of the story the same I would love to c that happen.

This game is must play for anyone who enjoys survival horror or over-the shoulder shooting gameplay.     The game has massive replay value, being designed in a way that encourages multiple runs and becoming an expert at the game's mechanics and style of play. The horror starts out strong and genuine but the game deserves commendation for recognizing the point where the horror starts to drop off and the game instead embraces a hardcore action packed style. The transition is rock-solid and is key to any survival horror game that wants to emphasize this much combat.

    The plethora of side-modes and challenge runs, as well as regular online challenges via RE.net is a great nod to hardcore fans that are going to stick with this game for years. RE2's Remake is proof that remakes are not always cash grabs with no merit or luster. We need more remakes like this, the only reason it is NOT a 10/10 is the pretty bad handling of the story elements. With typical wonky VA work and plot that RE is infamous for, something I expected would be fixed with a modern day remake.    … Expand

Тебе каждый раз создают новые условия для уникального экспирианса от игры, аОдин из лучших ремейков во всей игровой индустрии, который я только видел, идеальная передача сюжета и основных механник устаревшей игры на новый движок, шикарный визуал, атмосфера, музыка, персонажи и нпс, все сделано на максимально качественном уровне, интерес к игре не теряется ни на одном этапе прохождения.     Resident Evil 2 is a wonderful recreation of a believed original that, not only recaptures the glory of that game, but also improves upon it from a visual and gameplay standpoint. All in all, don’t miss out on this one.
