A terrible, tightly broken piece of **** with an insane plot. Nothing has been fixed here by any patches and cannot be fixed. Literally NOTHING works here. Nor steals, nor AI, nor bunch of unnecessary mechanics, nor story, which reminds me of Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" movie. Billion bugs, glitches, collision errors, terrifying controls.
The developer is not only a crooked-handed

The developer is not only a crooked-handed cocksucker who must be banned to approach the video game industry, but he also sent bots with 10’s to save his own wick. Pathetic, incompetent, graphomaniac, leave the profession.

I'm not overexaggerating when I say that Remothered Broken Porcelain is one of the worst games I've ever played in my entire life . All I got to ask is HOW? How do you go from Tormented Fathers to this? It's not that the latter was great by any means but it had a lot of charm , good atmosphere and most importantly a basic understanding of pacing , horror and what constitutes as gameplay . It's like they took what was awful in the first game and multiplied by 10 in this game while completely neglecting every positive thing they introduced in the former

Game is a broken buggy mess right now hopefully they will patch it because it's a very interesting game. It's just unplayable because of the numerous bugs and glitches. Don't waste your money on this until it's gets fixed.

As a huge fan of Remothered: Tormented Father, I couldn't be more disappointed. Apart from the regrettable state of development the game has been released in (I haven’t never played a game with so many bugs). The developers eliminated almost everything I love from the first game and replaced it for pointless, uncomfortable and needlessly complicated battle, inventory managing and skill improving systems. A complex and original conceptual story isn't equivalent to a good script. I would have rated this game at least 5, if the only mistakes were the bugs. But saddly this game is lacking in much more than just programming. The script, the dynamics’ design, the choices regarding the storytelling, even the character’s design seems strange and forced.

Regarding the technical issues, they make the game artificially long, just because controls were so awfull something easy became an odyssey or bugs kept appearing and I had to rack my brain in order to come up with a way of “avoiding” them

    Regarding game dynamics:

-I don’t understand the point in introducing an abilities tree in a game so short and with so simple and clunky mechanics.

-The instructions didn’t explain a lot of essential dynamics making the game upsetting and artificially difficult.

-The riddles, which were the core of Tormented Fathers, are completely absent here.

-The oppressive sensation of being trapped inside the same building and unable to scape, the progressive world widening with new hiding places and new threats of the first game is absent here. The game is chopped in a lot of short fragments continuously jumping between temporal moments and different tiny scenarios ruining the claustrophobic experience completely.

    Finally, regarding the plot:

-The story has a very original and complex concept with a huge potential to create a unique an awesome script but has been awfully adapted to video game format and fall into inconsistencies which are painful to see. I played the first game and understood its plot completely after reflecting on it for a while, but I was so confused after finishing this that I had to read the wiki of the game and I continued finding some huge plot holes. I don’t know how a person who hasn’t played the first game could understand this one at all. If I would have bought the game without playing the first part, I would feel even more ripped off.

-Random characters/situations throw a lot of incomplete, mixed and crucial information to your face in the strangest most forced moments and dialogues possible which takes out all the credibility of the story.

-The story was too complicated and extensive for a videogame, in his current state it would be more suitable for a novel or a TV series than for a videogame, especially a horror title. This excess of characters and subplots translates into a succession of characters appearing without time to properly develops or for the player to understand what their exact role is and most of the story being told through cryptic dialogues/monologues instead of showing it with actual events, because the game should last much more in order to actually show in a comprehensive way everything it pretend to include. As a result of the excess of plot and little attention to the gameplay, the playable parts feel like a forced filling needed in order to call the product a videogame instead of a film.

The rhythm and tone of the storytelling is erratic. Extremely tense/disturbing moments (which try to convey the oppressive atmosphere of the situation the characters are in) are interspersed with cheesy teenage lovey-dovey and soap-opera like heavy drama moments without prior notice. This kills all the tension and the dark atmosphere the game tries to build. In the first game the plot was focused in the awful consequences of using horrible medicament and the immoral experiments which were made with it adorned with the disturbing story of Richardine Felton. I can’t tell what Broken porcelain is about. The main plot of the Phenoxyl mixed with Acherontia moths and its extremely complex hypnotic and amnesic effects is involved in everything but is explained in less than a minute in a brief video. While we have several too long cinematics of Jennifer and Lynn talking about irrelevant stuff or just flirting. If their love story would have been properly introduced in the first game or written in a realistic and atmosphere congruent way this cringy and anticlimactic cinematics wouldn’t exist and part of the time invested in explaining a simple love story (which is so bad written that seems hurried despite all the time invested in it) could have been used to explain in a minimally comprehensive way all the hypnotic/amnesic mess.

The only good points are that the concept of the plot has potential to be awesome, the ost is good, the graphics are better than the first part (specially the sceneries) and the setting is good. The rest is a huge mess.

The game with the bugs SUCKED so much I hated it, where there was a point I couldn't sneak with the door because it didn't even opened, bugs where in cutscenes you could see the character flying or floating, doors wouldn't open unless you tried like two times, I had to go back to the save menu so I could restart where I left of again thanks to the bug that wouldn't let me continue the story, also the mechanics to pick up stuff sucked a little and the last thing that I didn't liked is that the game in some point was so dark I couldn't see where the stuff was etc. I thought it was my old PS4 doing the bugs but for what I see it was the game, if not were for the bugs I definitely would had enjoyed the game better.

I was actually looking forward to this game. The gameplay looked cool and the screenshots grabbed my attention. But what you get is just a broken mess filled with bugs. Maybe they pushed it out quickly because of Halloween, I don’t know. But even if it wasn’t broken, it still has a poorly conceived story and lackluster gameplay overall. Awful awful awful

I have been expecting this game since Tormented fathers. My expectations were not high at all, just wanted a decent sequel (Loved the old Clock Tower games so TF was a big surprise). I have played Broken Por. on version 1.06 and the games is just unplayable. Gameplay is completely broken. Camera work while being chased is just a mess. It is beyond compression how

It is beyond compression how this game could be released or even Sony and Microsoft allow "this" to be on their store. This game is 10 times worse than CyberPunk. Just an awful unfinished game which gameplay reminds more to a middle 90s 3D game with all its faults that a 2020 game.
Avoid it even if like myself loved the first one. You will be frustrated and will just wonder how this Modus Games company managed to get this franchise from Soedesco and simply destroyed it when we thought more Clock Towers could be on their way.
Thanks Modus Games. Thanks for releasing what it is by far the WORST game of 2020.
    Pathetic company. RIP Remothered :(

Remothered Broken Porcelain è appunto un gioco Broken! Sembra incompleto, la storia è molto confusionaria, è molto difficile capire cosa il gioco vuole che tu faccia per proseguire. È stato frustrante portarlo a termine.

It's difficult not to have the feeling of playing something incomplete and sloppy which ultimately, despite some good ideas, does not honor the big names in the horror world from which it is inspired.

If only the team behind Remothered: Broken Porcelain spent more time working on crucial plot points, character motivation and gameplay mechanics, then we could have a rather good game on our hands. As of now Broken Porcelain is just full of game breaking bugs, some of which the devs are desperately trying to get rid of. If you're planning to buy Remothered: Broken Porcelain anyway, at least wait some time before the game will be fixed.

While this bug-infested horror doesn’t quite inspire us to grab the fly swat, we can’t recommend this in its current state. However, its few bright spots draw us like a moth to a flame. [Issue#182, p.152]
