    Extremely good game. I was finally able to experience a soul-like game genre, I just wish the other games were that approachable. It was super challenging at some moments, but very addictive. The graphics could be better as well as some other minor things, but in general, the game is great. I enjoyed it a lot.

    You and your friends travel around Earth and to other worlds to battle various types of enemies. Full game with only 2 DLC which add levels and enemies. Worth the price. Great fun especially if you have a friend or two to play with. I'm playing at the end of 2023 and there are still constantly active games to join. Reminds me of the old left 4 dead games.

    Remnant is a weird mix of Dark Souls, Fortnite, Fallout and some other games. It took me 14h to beat and I can say its kinda.. average.

    The guns arent too bad and the selection of weapons is alright, but as soon as enemies get right in your face they dogpile you which can be really frustrating. Almost every encounter in the game is like this: One big enemy and lots of trashmobs rushing    Remnant is a weird mix of Dark Souls, Fortnite, Fallout and some other games. It took me 14h to beat and I can say its kinda.. average.

    The guns arent too bad and the selection of weapons is alright, but as soon as enemies get right in your face they dogpile you which can be really frustrating. Almost every encounter in the game is like this: One big enemy and lots of trashmobs rushing at you, so you have to constantly backpaddle to avoid getting overrun. This is the main source of difficulty in this game. Some bosses are alright but most of them are really easy... until they summon another load of trashmobs and the game turns into a clown show again. I seriously doubt the developers of this game know how to make a boss that is difficult, great to fight and just ONE entity.

    The upgrade and ability system is fine though, and the levels with huge optional dungeons arent too bad either. The graphics are ok but there is some lack of style and inspiration here and there and the whole game is quite blurry on a 4K screen on PS5. Also the loading times are very long sometimes.

    Overall an average game. Its not the best or worst Souls game and I had some fun with it. 5/10    … Expand

    This game is a masterpiece. It took a while for it to grow on me. The replayability value is astounding. Each playthrough be it the main campaign or "adventure mode" has different elements. And they can be "re-rolled" any time. The play style customisation is incredible, a crazy amount of armour, weapons, weapon power ups, accessories. And you can invest skill points earnt from XP. And they can be "re-rolled" any time. The play style customisation is incredible, a crazy amount of armour, weapons, weapon power ups, accessories. And you can invest skill points earnt from XP. I first found the game very intimidating, I dreaded going around each level but it gets easier and then more satisfying then exhilarating! It takes skill, patience and tactics especially for different strategies required for boss battles. The amount of content is a joy to pour over, I've sunk over 100 hours in and it still feels fresh due to how each play through is different yet in a new game plus style.… Expand

    The biggest issue with this game is it really is too difficult to play single player. The best way to play it is with others even if you don't have friends it is possible to join up with others. One other issue is the lag which seems to happen a lot.     This is a game I keep going back to and still always have something new to discover. The gameplay may be simple but it’s never grown old. In my opinion it’s one of the best coop games out there.

    REAL SCORE 7.5. This is a good game to pla with your friends. Its not great in anything, neither bad at something. Its enjoyable.

    The game is cool, enemy designs are very cool. Areas are good too, the procedural worlds works fine, the game have tons of guns and playstyles. My only problem is that the game seems to want you to play coop, since EVERY BOSS has infinite Ads, this for me, almost ruined the game since they attack you outside the camera, so you cant just really focus on the boss and keep rolling forever toThe game is cool, enemy designs are very cool. The combat and gameplay is relatively enjoyable, especially in co-op, but it is the world design that is severely lacking in comparison. The intricate, interweaving locations that make navigating the worlds of Lordran and Yharnam such a joy are replaced by procedurally generated levels. Not only do these look dull, but it also makes finding the way to go confusing and we got lost on more than one occasion.

    If you’ve played all of FromSoftware’s titles and want something in the same vein then this is may be worth a look, but I don’t think many people would say it’s even close to being on the same level.    … Expand

    I enjoyed a lot. I usually play solo, but the co-op was easy to jump in or have people jump in and help you out. It was a welcome design. Story was pretty cool and the combat was nice and challenging. It's got a Soulslike formula, but it is a shooter more than anything, which is unique. It encourages replaying to see out different things. Worth the buy.

    Enjoyable gameplay, unique world design and very intresting skill tree system. However, game runs like trash, crashes very often (which is soul destroying when attempting survival gauntlet runs) and loading times are extremely elongated. The game is just optimised poorly I'm general. But apart from that, playing this with friends is a good laugh.

    Fun game. It's like a cooperative souls game with rogue-like elements. Various bosses and random encounters are randomly selected from a limited pool for each of the main hub-worlds. It has a suitably atmospheric and bleak storyline about the remnants of human civilization trying to retake the world and yada yada. You blow lots of stuff up with guns and special powers called "mods."Fun game. It's like a cooperative souls game with rogue-like elements. Various bosses and random encounters are randomly selected from a limited pool for each of the main hub-worlds. It has a suitably atmospheric and bleak storyline about the remnants of human civilization trying to retake the world and yada yada. You blow lots of stuff up with guns and special powers called "mods." The boss fights aren't as well-designed as Souls games of course, but they're not bad, and they can be quite challenging. There were also a few puzzle-like elements of the game that reminded me of one of my favorite MMOs, The Secret World.

    My main complaint about the game has to do with power-scaling. About halfway through I found it to be complete faceroll easy because of certain OP weapons and abilities. I find myself going back and forth between rating this game a 7 or 8, and deciding on 8 because I love the setting. A post-apocalyptic landscape that is connected to other weird worlds is right up my alley. I look forward to part 2.    … Expand

    OPPORTUNITY MISSED - could have been 10/10 except that boss fights are unbalanced, frustrating and too hard even on the lowest difficulty, which makes the game unplayable. Only because of the community and others helping me I enjoyed it.

    I think this game is just not for me, and chances are, it may not be for you either. I am a big Dark Souls fan, mainly because of how well-crafted the exploration and combat mechanics are. This game, a so-called soulslike, is nowhere near the level of Souls, despite its surface level mechanics. The procedural generation completely wrecks my enjoyment, and the lack of hand-crafted,I think this game is just not for me, and chances are, it may not be for you either.     Pros: Pretty good and entertaining co-op souls-like 3rd person shooter, not too many co-ops like this, fun weapons, balanced challenge. Would recommend, especially with friends.
    Cons: Some very frustrating boss fights, enemy variety.

    No, really, I can't emphasize this enough. You can't walk 10 steps without the game teleporting at least 5 or 6 annoying mobs to where you least expect. Not to mention that EVERY SINGLE F@#$%& boss in this game spawns    The shooting mechanics are pretty decent, but the infinite respawning all around you out of thin f@#$%& air armies of annoying mobs gimmick gets REALLY old, REALLY fast.

    No, really, I can't emphasize this enough. You can't walk 10 steps without the game teleporting at least 5 or 6 annoying mobs to where you least expect. Not to mention that EVERY SINGLE F@#$%& boss in this game spawns infinite annoying minions. You are FAR more likely to be killed by the boss' minions than by the boss himself. This is more a nuisance than a challenge. This is what it means to be artificially difficult.

    An another thing, the enemy level scale to your highest upgraded item? doesn't that negate the very reason item upgrading exists?    … Expand

    Классная игра, прошли с другом в кооперативе с большим удовольствием. Мир и вселенная -очень интересны, перечитал в интернете все , что нашел на русском и английском языке. Сюжет в игре подается в записках, терминалах и обрывках разговоров. Интересна так же концепция с процедурной генерацией, мы с товарищем пропылесосили весь мир, но так и не получили доступ к некоторым боссам и к примеруКлассная игра, прошли с другом в кооперативе с большим удовольствием. Мир и вселенная -очень интересны, перечитал в интернете все , что нашел на русском и английском языке. Сюжет в игре подается в записках, терминалах и обрывках разговоров. Интересна так же концепция с процедурной генерацией, мы с товарищем пропылесосили весь мир, но так и не получили доступ к некоторым боссам и к примеру не смогли активировать робота в пустыне. Просто в нашем прохождении не было определенной локации, где нужная запчасть. Атмосфера - просто потрясающая, мир прям поглощает и погружает в себя, жаль, что городских локаций не так много, как хотелось бы. Уж очень атмосферно там. Стрельба - очень порадовала. Оружие, перки - разнообразные, применимые и креативные. Оптимизация - лучше, чем в Darksiders 3. Раздражает только подзагрузка текстур одежды. Локализация очень порадовала. Потом купим DLC и пройдем повторно с ними. В общем игре ставлю 8,5/10. Могу рекомендовать.… Expand

    Did some diligence on the game via reviews and gameplay videos, so was convinced it would be a solid buy for me, as it supposedly ticked a few boxes for me.

    Boy was I wrong. - Looter shooter... with no loot to speak of! - I knew there was difficulty involved, but I was promised normal would be fine. Hell no, waaaay too difficult for solo players... that's my main gripe.     - Bosses are stupid. Difficulty spike only due to infinite amount of add spawns that rush you and bullet sponge mechanics - Upgrading gear has no use, as enemies scale with you depending on your highest gear level - Boring, uninspired gunplay, unintended melee attacks too frequent because in hectic situations you forget to aim

    Bummed out I bought it on the ps store, otherwise I'd get a refund. Thankfully bought it for a reduced price, but not even worth that. Stay away from this garbage.    … Expand

    Playing through the Story Mode within 23 hours was really fun. The random generated Areas in between the boss areas are mostly beautiful and diverse.
    There are a lot of weapons and armors you can collect. You can collect most of the in exchange for Boss-Items or while exploring the world of remnant. There is no extraordinary grind fest for    I Played this on a PS5 and completely in Coop.

    Though not all bosses are as well designed as the others most of them are really fun.
    It is but to say, that you can not see all the bosses of the game in one run.

A more focused vision might have made this a surprise delight, but as it stands it's like the equivalent of oatmeal: itSolo players should avoid this, unless you need something to do while you listen to a podcast.     As a fan of these kinds of games, I can say that Remnant: From the Ashes is a type of soulslike that I would have probably passed over in favor of something more traditional, but after giving it a fair shot I’m glad to say that it’s the successful spin on the genre that I didn’t know I wanted.

    Remnant: From the Ashes is a brilliant game that will undoubtedly satisfy the masochistic urges of all those Souls-Like (really can't apologise enough) fanatics out there that need their next fix of brutal punishment in the form of a video game. The game is let down by a few minor faults and won't provide the same amount of gameplay that the majority of Souls games deliver to players, but the positives of this game far outweigh its negatives and the ability to replay it and take it on with friends negate the admittedly short standard campaign time.

    Remnant: From the Ashes is an entertaining and challenging game, that also give us some options to try its gameplay and challenge its enemies. However, you should not forget that it's mainly a coop game, and playing alone can be tough or even frustrating for the most part of the journey.
