    To be honest, I was always sceptical when it comes to jRPGs so it was this time as well. When I heard about Persona 5 I thought that "oh man, it's another Japenese RPG, full of weird things, anime style etc.". But I could not be more wrong. This game is a masterpiece. I took me ~100h to beat this game. I admit, that after 50-60h of game play, it started feeling a bit boring, the gameTo be honest, I was always sceptical when it comes to jRPGs so it was this time as well. When I heard about Persona 5 I thought that "oh man, it's another Japenese RPG, full of weird things, anime style etc.". But I could not be more wrong. This game is a masterpiece. I took me ~100h to beat this game. I admit, that after 50-60h of game play, it started feeling a bit boring, the game became repetitive, but when I started getting close to the end, and the main plot was on the first plan, I could not stop playing. It was interesting, every mistieries started becoming clear, and the amount of feelings and emotions I felt during the ending is indescribable. It felt so satisfying, that I am looking forward to play Persona 5 Royal now.
    The music. The music is definitely the best part of the game. It was selected perfectly for each scene.
    The characters were also well written, on the first page you think that they are some annoying teenagers, but in the end I felt really sad, when I finished the game, that I will be no longer the part of the group with them.    … Expand

    a complete disappointment. unlikable characters with uninteresting quests. lame story. good soundtrack and battle system. but comparing it to persona 4 is a step down in every level

    By far one of the best JRPG's I have picked up in a long time. I'm a little late to the game but I am not regretting it at all, so much so that I have replayed it more than once along with trophy hunting, which I only do with games that I greatly enjoy. The graphics of the game are supremely amazing along with the dialog and the reactions of the characters throughout the storyline. The combat is amazing as a turn base system seeing how a lot of old classics are removing turned base now as well. Don't get me wrong I love having freedom and mobility in combat but there is just something so special with turn based games. Persona 5 took great advantage of the turn based combat as well, no spoilers but truly they did amazing with the way they made things. The characters are each their own, with thier own personality and development which is nice to see. Over all the development, the game play, the style, and the art just bring together everything. I was caught from day one in the game and it just got better and better.… Expand

    Absolutely amazing the combat is better than perfect it's turn based but unique and much better than any other turn based combat games. The story is absolutely brilliant so many little details were filled like how you bond with the characters which is extremely fun and if feels like you are actually there it's amazing how well the characters are done. the story is just amazing.     Persona 5 es uno de esos JRPs que si lo juegas dejan una huella tremenda. Desde la pantalla de introducción hasta los créditos, el juego te acompaña con una BSO brutal, incluyendo el Battle Theme que yo he escuchado en toda mi vida (junto con algunos temas de batalla de Kingdom Hearts).

    El sistema de combate es buenísimo, y el hecho de que dispongas de tantas combinaciones de personas    Persona 5 es uno de esos JRPs que si lo juegas dejan una huella tremenda. Desde la pantalla de introducción hasta los créditos, el juego te acompaña con una BSO brutal, incluyendo el Battle Theme que yo he escuchado en toda mi vida (junto con algunos temas de batalla de Kingdom Hearts).

    El sistema de combate es buenísimo, y el hecho de que dispongas de tantas combinaciones de personas y sets de habilidades hace que te obligues a ti mismo a farmear personas y mejorar sus sets de habilidades para encontrar tu acompañante perfecto.

    Lo único que extraño un poco es algún tipo de minijuego cuando te encuentras explorando la ciudad (exceptuando el baseball y el minijuego de pesca), pero no es algo que empañe la experiencia de juego, ya que a medida que vas explorando los distintos barrios de la ciudad, vas conociendo a distintos personajes que harán que el juego se vea más real.

    No es necesario haber jugado a ningún otro Persona anterior para poder disfrutar de este juego, por lo que no hay excusa para dejar escapar semejante obra maestra.

    Llegará subtitulado al español en pocos meses, así que no habrá excusa para dejar pasar semejante joya.    … Expand

    I do not believe any game can truly be perfect enough to attain a 10/10 score, however due to the lack of any scoring system without whole numbers on Metacritic, I feel as though this best represents my thoughts.

    My thoughts on Persona 5 are best summed up with one sentence. I truly do believe this is the best game ever created. This is not just for the RPG genre, but for the wider    I do not believe any game can truly be perfect enough to attain a 10/10 score, however due to the lack of any scoring system without whole numbers on Metacritic, I feel as though this best represents my thoughts.

    My thoughts on Persona 5 are best summed up with one sentence. I truly do believe this is the best game ever created. This is not just for the RPG genre, but for the wider industry.

    The most striking aspect of Persona 5 can be found in its artstyle and design. It may seem as a somewhat vain form of praise, but the design is truly outstanding. System menus are a joy to navigate just for seeing their designs. The world and character models may be simple, but are viciously effective in their simplicity. The music is perhaps the best the series has ever been blessed with, Shoji Meguro at his absolute best. Character portraits are appealing to look at. Every aspect of this game's art and design is an absolute joy, it is something you must see to truly understand.

    Gameplay feels the strongest that the Persona series has ever experienced. The dungeons in Persona 5 feel far more varied than the TV World or Tartarus in prior games. The only flaw Persona 5 experiences in this regard is in the form of Momentos. This was the one area of the game in which I felt fatigued when exploring, but this mostly due to a desire to return to the game's wonderful story and social aspects.

    Speaking of social aspects, Persona 5 replaces the Social Links of old with the new Confidants. Although, this is more of a renaming phenomenon than a real overhaul in terms of design or mechanics. Regardless, social activities in Persona 5 are just as enjoyable as they have been in previous games. I felt genuinely invested in the issues which certain characters were facing, and felt fulfilled when they reached the end of their arcs. There is not a single Confidant which stood out to me as especially boring or uninteresting. Some Confidants involve characters which are not central to the story, which may reduce the investment some people have in those characters. However, I found all the Confidants I explored in both of my playthroughs to be fun, entertaining and engaging.

    A natural progression from this point would to talk characters. Persona 3 and especially 4 are well known for their colourful casts, and Persona 5 is no exception. I'd argue that this is the series at its best. Through the use of the previously discussed Confidants, characters feel fleshed out, believable and interesting. The dynamic between the main cast of characters feels so natural it is hard to explain through words. It feels as though this is a real group of friends that could exist in the real world, if they could steal hearts and stuff of course. Good character development comes hand in hand with a fantastic storyline. I do not wish to discuss this in detail here as a result of the upcoming changes in Persona 5 The Royal.

    If I could give a more accurate score to Persona 5, it would be 9.8/10. I do not believe it is possible for any game to be perfect. However, I believe Persona 5 is currently the best game you can buy with money right now. This is no exaggeration. I had been a long time Persona fan prior to the release of Persona 5, and to have all of the hype pay off in such a meaningful way was an incredible feeling I have not felt since. I give Persona 5 a 9.8 in the hopes that one day a 9.9 game will best Persona 5. It may not be a Persona or Atlus game that does this, but I believe there is room in the future for an even better game than Persona 5. However, at this time, Persona 5 is my most favourite game of all time.    … Expand

    A solid game but highly overrated. There is a good turn based system, the visual style is there, but lets be honest: seeing Persona as the pinnacle of JRPG nowadays is at least misleading.

The characters, the world, voice-acting, the artdesign, the MUSIC - OH MY GOD THE MUSIC IS SO **** GOOD. With the Persona-Series you have a JRPG-Timemanagement-Monstercollecting-Lifesim-Game. Prepare yourself to invest easily about a 100 hours into this. It would be aOh my god. I've never been so in love with a video game. This was my first persona game and I was not sure what to expect. I lost 10 hours on my first palace because the game never explains what a calling card is until you are nearly finished. You need to use a calling card for every palace which will take an extra day before your deadline. THIS IS NEVER STATED ANYTIME BEFORE. What the hell.READ THIS BEFORE PLAYING.     Hands down my favorite game of all time.
    I would write a more fleshed out review, but I firmly believe that going into this game completely blind like I did is the best thing you can do for yourself.
    The game isn't flawless, as nothing can be perfect, but it's personally very close.
    Get this game now if you even vaguely love RPGs, I assure you that you will not be disappointed.

    Как по мне это лучшая часть Persona 5 которая вообще выходила. В ней просто всё идеально, да есть минусы для некоторых фанатов P3 и P4 но это не говорит что и они плохие. В общем, я каждому советую сыграть. Игра показывает множество проблем в обществе а также в Фантомных Ворах, поэтому берите не пожалеете!Как по мне это лучшая часть Persona 5 которая вообще выходила. While the game has its slow monotonousIn short, Persona 5 accomplishes two things: (1) it re-imagines turn based combat and evolves it to be fun/fast/stylish/and strategic in todays's modern gaming landscape, and (2) it delivers a unique story that is aimed at mature audiences with well written characters that are believable and fun to befriend throughout the course of this 100h+ journey! While the game has its slow monotonous parts, overall Persona 5 is the new standard for AAA JRPGs in terms of quality and volume of content, and a representation of video games that are considered art thanks to its amazing style and presentation. 8/10… Expand

    Best.Persona.Game.Ever (IMO)


    Great Gameplay,Great Characters, Great Story and a Great Soundtrack, when i played this masterpiece,it surprised me a lot about how good this game is, Persona 3 is my Second favorite of the series,3 and 5 just blows out the other games of the series on my honest opinion (sorry for my bad English, I'm Brazilian :/)

    Un extraordinario JRPG hecho por Atlus. Ame Persona 3, Persona 4 y Persona 5 no es una excepción.

    Solo te diré, juégalo aunque es cierto que para públicos de habla Hispana se necesita un buen nivel de Ingles para jugarlo, por todo lo demás te aseguro que el juego te encantara de principio a fin.

    This game isn’t fun. Isn’t for everyone and might seem boring and too long. But I still love this game. Story isn’t interesting for most of time, but isn’t boring too. Dialogues are so natural (especially when you’re high schooler like me). Gameplay is something you probably have seen in other games like old ffs (gameplay, walking and beating creeps) and pokemon (catching personas). AfterThis game isn’t fun. After you make your way through palace, you fight palace king/owner. Some of them are more and some are less interesting. But anyways game is still great. Clocking in at over 100 hours, it's an epic adventure that features a fantastic cast of characters that will stick with you long after you've beaten the game. Now, do note: It uses classicalFinally, a Japanese role-playing game this generation that blows my mind! Persona 5 is quite an experience. It's a combination of a sim like elements with RPG dungeon crawling that is addicting. Clocking in at over 100 hours, it's an epic adventure that features a fantastic cast of characters that will stick with you long after you've beaten the game. Now, do note: It uses classical turn-based gameplay, but it perfects the formula and adds a bit of Pokémon like elements to the mix. The story is very well written, although it can get too overly dramatic at times, but if you're used to more insane plot-points and Japanese like writting you won't have an issue with this. Visuals are amazing, yes it can't rival AAA games in the technical graphics, but what it lacks in raw-horse power it makes up with an amazing art direction. The music is just heavenly and surprisingly the voice acting as well. My only gripe with the game is that the pacing is off. I would have preferred it not to be at times boring and just have a good balance of normal sim-life and action gameplay. Overall: If you've been looking for a Japanese RPG in the past decade that will consume your life for at least weeks on end - and at the end feel like you've played one of the best in the genre, Persona 5 will not dissapoint.… Expand

    I've never played a Persona game. I bought it based on rave reviews and had no idea what to expect beyond game play videos on Youtube. Turn rpg is boring and outdated. The game is very slow- you don't see combat for several days. Pop-ups interrupt you every 5 seconds. The game also give you fake diol huge options where you are given various ways to say the same thing, “say yes, say II've never played a Persona game.     Persona 5 is an absolutely amazing game that convinces with its art style, music and story. It has anything one could ask for such a game and more. The turn-based battle system offers a wide array of opportunities. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it is definitely recommended to give it a go.

    Persona 5 beats every other turn-based RPG in terms of production values, combat, story, symbolics, character design, music, pace and variety. 2017 is a great year for gaming and Persona 5 confirms this with a load of unmatched swagger.
