The idea of playing as a student going to school, completing jobs and living a normal life during the day sounds very anti fun, but is thankfully executed very well and proves to an enjoyable experience. However the real stand out is at night, infiltrating dungeon like palaces that act as massive labyrinths for the player to explore and fight enemies. Combat isn't anything ground breaking, but neither is it bad. It is surprisingly tactical and will require some mental input from the player, especially when fighting the bosses. The best part of this game is the music and graphics. A jazzy and smooth soundtrack compliments the anime and shaded art style, providing a look and feel that will last the test of time. This is truly a must have for any ps4 owner, Atlus have really out done themselves. 9/10 Expand

It surprises me how similar the political woes of the EU, Japan, and USA are. Likely the rest of the developed world as well, but as an uninformed American these are the ones I know best. But without diving any further into politics, you may be surprised to see how strikingly similar the issues brought up by Persona 5 are to modern issues.
Assuming you can get over the games insistence that it is just "old people" who are making the world worse.

For me this should be a must-buy for every Playstation 4 owner, especially with the 38 euro price point currently in the Netherlands! The only negative I have is that it feels a bit stretched at the end, but it doesn't effect the story!

Buy this game if you like RPG's simple as that, my only two massive problems with the game is the romance options which gives you a lot of options but in terms of depth very disappointing, and the puzzles in the dungeons where super unnecessary most are easy while mainly only achieving to waste time and add a lot of backtracking while seeming fun on my first run they where an eye sore on my second overall the dungeons are great from a style point of view but overall needed more meat and bones less puzzles and mini cut scenes, but these problems doesn't stop Persona 5 from being my game of the year. The only downside I found is that the game has a lot of dialogue, which can get a bit time consuming, but it's worth it with it's complex story. Be prepared for at least 100 hours worth of solid game-play. You're in for a treat. Well worth paying full price for this game.

The game itself is very long. It probably one of, if not the longest linear, story driven, single player game I’ve ever played. The game spends a lot of this time on character development and lets you slowly establish and build your relationship with those around you. It’s not afraid to “waste” time on everyday activities where you just talk and have a good time with your friend, which in the ends makes the characters feel much more real than many other games.

Even though there are some negatives in the game such as the clunky controls, lack of voiced dialogue in some conversations, a low variety of voice lines during combat that is used way too often and some other negatives, overall I found the game to be amazing! The story and characters hooked me to the game and the fact that the journey lasted a very long time makes it even better! The game had almost everything from a good story and characters to a nice art style and music and it also provided a challenging gameplay that somehow manages to throw in a bunch of humor and creepiness at the same time. An amazing game and I look forward to a Persona 6 in the future!

Well do I have to explain? No one likes a buggy/leggy game. It breaks immersion and f%cks your play trough. I still have nightmares from the assassin’s creed “no face” bug…

I played this game for 145 hours ! Persona 5 talks about life, friendships and society. I acknowledge that the story can become emotional (like a movie) but I would say the main audience seems teenagers or 18-25 years old adults. I'm older that that but still really enjoyed this game.

I have some suggestions if you want to really benefit of all this game has to offer. Like the game tells you often, please take your time. This game is not designed to be rushed. Also, don't ignore what Morgana is saying. The cat has interesting advice, both for dungeons and real life. When you start the game, try also to find a general strategy. Which confidents would you like to develop more ? Why ? Which characters will you use in dungeons ? Which skills would create a good synergy in the team ? It can be really interesting to plan before exploring the dungeon. I also recommend to be aware that this game has different endings and in certain points, you will have to make important choices in the dialogue options (I'm a newcomer for the Persona series and I got a bad ending fist which disappointed me. Fortunately, I didn't saved after that so I was able to continue on the same file and just do a different choice. i won't say more here...) And one last thing, accept that you can't see everything in your first playthrough. This game is designed to be played many times.

I certainly recommend this game. I think it's pretty guaranteed that you will find something to enjoy in this game. I look forward to Persona 6 now :)

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Excellent game but still can't surpass Persona 4 Golden

Persona 5 is like different than other persona but it's still persona. Maybe because its unique art and for the first time your character is not chibi anymore. This game has so many innovation compared to its predecessor. For example you can tame your shadow enemy and make them joins your persona collection by negotiate with them. Battle mechanism still same with ordinary JRPG except you can use gun to attack your enemy beside persona and hit attack. Battle song is more variate and great.

I must criticize Persona 5 story. In the last part of this game you will face god, which I feel like be forced to have plot twist. Maybe atlust think no plot twist, then no persona. But with same formula with P4, I got bored easily by it. Bond with friend in Persona 5 is less deeper than Persona 4 Golden. When I finished my P4G, I felt lonely and sad because it was like I had digital friend and I lost it because this game end, which is I didn't feel it when finished my Persona 5.

So 9/10 is fair from my thinking. And don't forget, Hifumi Togo is best girl haha. So sad Atlus decided to not put she in Phantom Thieves.

An immaculate game to say the least. Not really big on JRPG's before I had invested some well spent 150 some odd hours into this title, however, Persona 5 did a great job luring me in. From a well composed soundtrack, to the great story writing, to the very likable characters - Atlus hit it out of the park. This game definitely put Atlas and the Persona franchise on my radar. The game is an absolutely fantastic RPG with fun and rewarding battle mechanics that go in-depth, but are still very accessible for beginners. The gameplay is mirrored in a way, with half the game taking place in modern Tokyo, where you play as a high school student with a bad reputation, trying to live an honest student's life. However, the other half of the gameplay you spend navigating creatively crafted dungeons called "palaces", and trying to change the hearts of the "evil adults" with corrupt desires. While the gameplay itself could alone almost earn this game a 10/10, what really makes it special is the story and the characters. The story may feel a bit "video game-ish", with each new character going through a similar ordeal which does get slightly repetitive. "New character is in some form exploited by an evil adult. Your group decides to help. The new character has an awakening and joins your group." The story does however depart from this as all the characters have joined you and that's when it really starts picking up speed. The characters are, however, undoubtedly the best part of the game in my eyes. Their interactions amongst themselves are just as entertaining as spending time with them one on one. They are all very distinct and all have their own great sense of humor and as the credits roll, I can't wait to start a new game+ and meet them all over again. This is one of the best RPGs of all time.

Art direction and design are peerless; style oozes from every aspect of the game. The story is wonderful and entertaining with no way of getting every facet in one play-through. The game's mechanics work on a linear timeline, so paths have to be taken, but plaything through it again is hardly a chore. I've heard that the translation is lacking by friends abroad, but that doesn't affect me since I don't speak Japanese anyway.

If I had to have one gripe, it would be with the notion that you can't take screenshots or video clips unless you are streaming to YouTube and then download them after the fact. PC ports obviously don't have this issue, but still. I wasn't too pleased with the idea that I couldn't take and share screenshots.

It's a powerhouse of a game that leaves an impression that I haven't forgotten, two years on. The sheer amount of content and the quality of it is jaw dropping. The writing is as amazing as it comes. A beefy, engrossing story that delivers intrigue and entertainment in equal measure. The game also is filled with some of the best characters I've ever interacted with. The characters are so well developed and each comes with an arc that helps to truly connect with them. Visually, it's stunning with a gorgeous style and the U.I. of all things is god-tier. The voice-acting is great and the soundtrack is one of the best games have ever seen! The gameplay is also so damn good. Refined, turn-based combat mixed with tons of flare and strategy at times. You've also got a whole other segment where you develop relationships and improve your stats in the regular world in order to strengthen your combat capabilities which is a fantastic feedback loop between gameplay and story. And, on top of all of this, the game is a linear campaign with around 100 hours of content. So, yeah, it's pretty wild. Complaints are minimal like a few difficulty spikes but this game is just so damn good and deserving of all the praise it's received! Definitely check it out! Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I love this game, between the dungeon crawling, stealth, and everyday life this game is perfect. This was first Persona game and it most definitely won't be my last.

There were a couple small problems with the game that I got annoyed about when playing it. First off, was the save room distance in some of the later areas. I would get 1 more'd by a new enemy and die and be nowhere near a safe room, therefore having to backtrack for a little. my second problem was with the villains as the story went on.

    My thoughts on each:
Kamoshida: This guy was horrible because it felt personal to me in the game and my friends, so I thought he really was evil and enjoyed taking him down
Madarame: The game was telling me he was evil but I din't really feel it even after I had dealt with him
Kaneshiro: I was just kind of dragged into this without feeling like he was evil at all

This continued to slightly bother me, but I enjoyed the game nonetheless.
Buy this game, its only like 20 bucks and it's excellent.

Loved everything, from the battles, the story, the bosses and specially, the incredible dungeons. I only give it a 9 instead of a perfect 10 because I don’t see myself re-playing it any time soon...the battle music gets kind of annoying at the middle-late part of the game and the “new game +” just doesn’t make me want to play it again.

Combat is near perfect for JRPGs. Characters while not the best ones in the series still really good. Story is good. Graphics are amazing. There are quite a lot of small details that are not good but in a 100 hours game it doesn't really make that much of a difference

Some of the social links are not so good as the last ones, and i would like Mementos to be more complex to explore. But again, if were not for this issues, Persona 5 would be easy a 10/10 game.

Now, do note: It uses classical turn-based gameplay, but it perfects the formula and adds a bit of Pokémon like elements to the mix. The story is very well written, although it can get too overly dramatic at times, but if you're used to more insane plot-points and Japanese like writting you won't have an issue with this. Visuals are amazing, yes it can't rival AAA games in the technical graphics, but what it lacks in raw-horse power it makes up with an amazing art direction. The music is just heavenly and surprisingly the voice acting as well. My only gripe with the game is that the pacing is off. I would have preferred it not to be at times boring and just have a good balance of normal sim-life and action gameplay. Overall: If you've been looking for a Japanese RPG in the past decade that will consume your life for at least weeks on end - and at the end feel like you've played one of the best in the genre, Persona 5 will not dissapoint. But the story, the game at times feels like it was written by 2 people - one who wanted to tell a edgy but big young adult story about rebellion and the abuse of power and the other wanted to make this a typical rom-com harem anime. It also has some serious problems like who arcs that could have been removed (does anything important happen in the bank section other than getting a new teammate?) and Morgana's palace long temper tantrum near the end.

Overall I think it is the best persona game so far, but not the best game ever.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Persona 5 is an amazing game, filled to the brim with unique characters and locations that I'll remember for the rest of my life. The game has unique style, that I'm sure has been done before, but never this well. Almost every single character is enjoyable to be around, each with a unique personality that are easily distinguishable, at least to me. After its 100+ hour story concluded, I wanted more of these characters and was extremely upset to see them go, but it looks like Atlus is continuing with this cast, as Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Scramble bring back these iconic characters. The palace structures were very unique, each with its own feel and style, like a spaceship and a castle. The only thing stopping me for giving this game a perfect score is some small things. Some of the confidants were disappointing, and didn't feel like they mattered to the story. Some of the palaces were very lacking as well, especially 2 certain ones I'm sure you've heard plenty about. Parts of the story are kinda bad and bit of a drag to. get through. But it's in no way a bad game, it's actually my favorite game of all time. And did I mention the soundtrack? This game has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard and would put many other soundtracks to shame. This game single-handily made me a fan of Atlus and JRPGs and made me want to explore different genres of video games. It also help change me as a person, it made me feel confident, feel better about myself, and gave me the guts to do things I would never do if I didn't buy this game. Even though I didn't get through every aspect of this game, i say pick this game up, or get Persona 5 Royal if you can afford it. Just know that this game made me change in the best way possible, and who knows, maybe it'll make you make a change as well. Expand

I love Atlus but they can be hit or miss. This game is a hit for sure, with unmatched style, great music, and super fun gameplay. The only weakness is the story. In Persona 4 the dungeons were all personifications of the character's inner struggles, and the bosses were "shadow" versions of the characters that that didn't just have to defeat, but accept. This game greatly simplifies that formula by having all the bad guys be abusive authority figures and the protagonists being "rebels." There is little actual character growth, which is disappointing. Ryuji has something going on with his dad that is mentioned once. Most style than substance on this one, but still a great game.

The last game also put gender issues front-and-center, whereas this one has the main female character grow by becoming skinnier to be a better model. I'm not joking, that is her character arc. It also has the player pressure her to pose nude for her stalker at his house, and gives you the option of telling her she should have let her teacher rape her. Oh yeah, and it has you blackmail your teacher after finding out that she works as a prostitute to support the family of a dead student. The game doesn't explicitly say that she has sex with you. It's implied. I still loved the game but there are some ugly flies in the ointment that I can't ignore. In some ways the characters are so similar to those from Persona 4 I literally call them by the wrong name. In other ways, it feels like it was written by a different person morally and thematically.

Overall an amazing game that everyone should play, but not as good as Persona 4 if you value story and character/

The battle system is amazing, making the turn-based gameplay as smooth and fast as possible. After playing this game, older persona games and other similar games feel clunky by comparison. The story is good, but I take a point off for it because it definitely has problems like “smart” characters who do some of the dumbest things in the series, plot holes, and characters and arcs that don’t really add anything to the story but we need to be realistic, with a game with this much story of course some of it won’t land and most of the story is totally enjoyable.

Seriously, if you like the genre and they system to play it on this is a must play.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game oozes passion and style. Do the actual models and graphics look the best? No, but that's not why people take notice of this game. It's the flair everything is done with. Even the menus feel like they have more love than some AAA games out there (I'm looking at you, EA). The story is very well executed, with the exception of two parts. The lead up to Okumura's palace is forced and uneven. Why do Morgana and Ryuji have a rivalry that came out of Morgana being a complete jerk to Ryuji for no reason? Morgana feeling useless makes sense with the introduction of Futaba, but that combined with Morgana leaving due to the fight with Ryuji feels like it shouldn't be there. The second part where it's revealed that Akechi is the traitor isn't necessarily a bad plot point, but the game seemed to simultaneously be trying to make the twist surprising and unexpected, yet also made it ridiculously obvious. The first 5 hours or so of the game are kinda slow, but they aren't painful, per se. Once you start infiltrating the palaces for real, the game gets amazing. The palaces are fun to explore, with much more verticality and depth than the dungeons of Persona 3 and 4. The puzzles are fun to solve, but aren't very hard unless you never pay attention to what your party members say. The combat is thoughtful, stylish, and has a musical rhythm that will leave you having a slight groove with you the entire time you play. The weakness and one more systems are perfect to keep the action flowing, without slowing to a grinding halt. Battles rarely ever stretch out into tedium, due to once you knock down every enemy, you have 4 options. one is an All out Attack, which does a ton of damage and has a very high chance of ending the fight. You can either ask for an item or money, or you can start a negotiation. Every magic skill in the game comes courtesy of the Persona, a manifestation of your inner self. All of your party members only have one, but you can wield multiple, most of them come from negotiating with enemies, trying to convince them to join your pack of personas. The negotiations are a little easier if you pay attention to their mood listed in the top left of the screen when you knock them all down (also known as a Hold Up), but some of the dialogue options make no sense. These shadows have weird tastes, and the answer isn't always obvious, but it is doable.
Persona is more than dungeon crawling, though. Half of the game is spent as a normal teenager, hanging out with friends, or doing activities to increase one of your five social stats. Your friends are known as confidants, with them having ten levels to unlock, each bringing new perks that will help you in battle. The life simulator part of Persona is just as addictive as dungeon crawling. Sometimes I would find myself attempting to complete the palace in one go, just so I would have more time to hang out with friends or increase social stats.
This game is the kind that will absorb you for hours on end. It's systems are so well put together, The music an absolute masterclass in game soundtracks (I've listened to the OST for countless hours), and the style of everything done makes everyday life feel like an amazing adventure. This is a must play for any RPG fan, and will kind of become a phase in your life, making it hard to think about anything else.

The best turn-based RPG on ps4 and probably of the entire generation. The artistic section is from another planet, the story hooks you and has an unforgettable soundtrack. To put a downside and the only reason not to put a 10/10, the game is not translated into other languages, which does not matter to me, but it is still an inexcusable failure for a game today. A must for fans of the genre.

Not only is it an improvement over P5 by leaps and bounds, this game-play is so solid I expect copy-cats for years to come.

    Music/Sound: 2
The music is solid with a large library and strong voice acting (in both English and Japanese!)

    Graphics & Visuals: 2
The graphics are brought into the modern age from P4's outdated models into more contemporary ones. The menus are flashy and fun and there are great, original battle effects.

    Story/World-building: 1
Good, but not as good as some claim. The writing quality wains and the story continues, being very strong for the first few dungeons while becoming nearly nonsense by the last few with plot-points dropped and plot-holes abundant.

    Characters: 2
This is one of the games strong-points. Each character has a storyline about being oppressed by the world around them or the expectations society places on them making for rich, developed characters that are interesting. While some of the confidant routes are unfocused, the characters themselves are some of the best in the series.

Persona 5 does such an exeptional job in so many areas that it feels sad to give it anything other than 10, but I have to, simply because the story and characters are above everything else in jrpgs for me. There is a ton of text in the script here, but it doesn't translate into vivid, emotional experience.

Persona paints beatiful picture, but it paints it with style, brave (but smart!)

There is a ton of text in the script here, but it doesn't translate into vivid, emotional experience.

Persona paints beatiful picture, but it paints it with style, brave (but smart!) use of colors, themes, transitions, it does try to be clever or funny with its text, but more often than not it doesn't work all that well, perhaps the translation is weak, but I don't think it should take all the blame.

And for every thing it executes with brillance, you can find it equally as boring and unimaginative at times. For example: every single time you make a new social link, you get the scene with your interrogator asking you about said connection, it's boring, always the same and serves little purpose other than reminding you about that part of the narrative, you literally know what's going to happen and what will be said, is there any worse sin in a storytelling?
Not enough for you? How about Morgana telling you that need to sleep almost every evening, pissing you off because you wanted to actually do something with your time (this is largely fixed in the Royal).

Exploration kind of begs for a bit more too, interaction is limited and areas are usually very small.
Huge part of dialog choices contains literally three versions of what is essentially the same statement.
Well, there is a lot stuff like that.

But Persona 5 still managed to steal my heart.
I can't recall any game with more style.
Music is fantastic, batlles are fun and its easy to sink in this world for long hours.
Maybe that's the problem too, Persona wants to be as long as possible and it certainly manages to do that. The question is, does it compromise on the quality because of that? I think it does.

If you never played it, I would pick Royal edition, it adds a lot of neat things and about the only con I can thing of is that it seems less challenging, but that's only because you have so many options to improve here.

Although the story is great, Persona is all about your interaction with your friends, acquaintances, and the city. As nothing is that perfect, Persona 5's restrictions is very annoying, as you cannot do everything you want, and the game makes you go to sleep or pass time without giving you much free time. I heard that Persona 5 Royal got this fixed, and I really hope they did. Anyway, great game and a good start for J-RPGs. Expand

Turn based combat was actually getting pretty old for me but the way the game combines the real world events with mementos makes it so every choice you make matter to make both your Personas and characters stronger. The player should think carefully because each time the story progresses forward there will be a deadline and you gotta always make sure you use your time efficiently. UI is one of the best i've seen in a game the art style is both colourful and vibrant having a unique and great feel to it.
The story gets a bit convoluted and kind of a mess towards the final act but it makes up for it with an Awesome final boss battle and a killer ass soundtrack.

Even if you don't like JRPG'S try out Persona. Trust me, you 'll find something to appreciate.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I never saw this coming, but I'm glad it did.

Persona 5 has fun turn-based combat with great fundamentals that allow simple but different strategies. There are lots of fun activities that you can do such as fishing, spending time with confidants, going to Mementos, trying to eat a very big burger and answering questions in class or during exam periods. It may be difficult to get into at first and overwhelming, but you should embrace it and live the life of a Japanese high school student by day and Phantom Thief by night.

Jazz is great, and Persona 5's jazz-themed soundtrack is phenomenal, each piece is appropriate to convey the mood of the setting, and most are so groovy and relaxing that you just want to have the game on in the background or tap your foot, bob your head or just straight-up dance in your room.

Persona 5 is oozing with style, the menu itself has more style than most games. The designs and graphics of Shibuya to the various palaces are pure eye-candy. The cut-ins and persona designs too are quirky and aesthetically pleasing. The animated scenes are great but the 3D scenes using in-game models can feel a bit clunky.

The story in the game heavily draws themes from various mythologies and religion such as the seven deadly sins to Buddhism, Christianity and Platonism (especially towards the end of the game), as well as the Persona series' signature Major Arcana from the tarot cards. All of this conglomerates into an epic journey to save society from adults that unjustly use their power to control the masses of all forms, to eventually trying to defeat a God. It is ambitious, enthralling and a grand journey to save the world.

You are given lots of time to learn each of the characters that are represented by a major arcana, that you derive benefits in their confidant in all aspects. Albeit, not all benefits are equal, each character has an interesting and deep story that helps you connect with the humanity in them that is lacking in most modern games. There are substance and flair with each of the characters and you'll either love them all or at least hold most to a considerate degree of reverence.

Persona 5 is the definitive JRPG experience that will bring you immense enjoyment, immerse you in the world and challenge you to think more about the different persona in people, and in yourself.

Gorgeous artwork and music, good story, awesome battle and faborability system. One thing that I think bad is DLC to make Persona 5 Royal has not been released (This is why I score 9 instead of 10). Still I cannot understand why. Persona 5 is a mix of a visual novel high school and a turn based “dungeon” crawler RPG… doesn’t seem very exciting but it’s one of the best games of this generation. But how does such an uninteresting premise makes for such a great experience? I’ll try to explain

It’s hard to pinpoint why Persona 5 is so good as a lot of factors have a role, first of all and most obvious: the story. If I had to summarize why the narrative is so engaging I would simply say “It’s because it’s a Japanese story”; the game doesn’t shy away of dealing with some heavy stuff: first chapter has a girl attempting suicide over being sexually harassed by her PE teacher, can you ever see something like that flying in an American studio game? H*ll no! The game has a distinct anime humor mixed with some pretty serious stuff from time to time, as a result you never know what’s around the corner and the narrative surprises you every step in the way. The dialogues follow along as they are never boring. There is always a joke, an unexpected moment… there is always something different to keep you going.

The characters really steal the show as their psyche is diverse both in the main roster as well in the side characters that you meet. Each one has a personality, a goal, a behavior that make them unique. You can roughly encounter 2 characters per day to make their story move forward, granted most of the times you’re gonna select the one that benefits you the most gameplay wise but I’m pretty sure players went with their preferred character from time to time.

Now let’s talk about the dungeon RPG sections: the Palaces.

This might be the only turn based combat that I really liked. It all comes down to your Skill Points or SP (like the Magic Points – MP – in every RPG) since the game is VERY STINGY with SP recovery items so it is all about managing this resource, playing in Hard Mode makes for a better experience in this regard. The most reliable way to recover SP is calling it a day, but you have a deadline to finish the Palace so the ideal is to make the most of each day in other words making the most of your SP as they are integral to the fights for using the Personas.

Personas are basically Stands (was that a JoJo reference?). Each character in your party has a Persona and each one of them is specialized in an element; so basically a good character is determined by how good is their Persona. The main character Joker, however, can host a bunch of Personas so feel free to customize your team as you see fit; if you’re feeling underpowered you can fuse them together culminating in even stronger Personas and this is the best thing ever! There are so many and their designs are so awesome and diverse that you’ll be changing your team every time you can

The enemies you fight are called Shadows but they always materialize in, you guessed: Personas. Most of them have an elemental weakness, exploiting it grants you a bonus turn (One More) that can be chained and it also downs the enemy, if all of them are down you can make an All-Out Attack for massive damage or engage in a negotiation to finish the battle earlier and even obtain the said Persona. If you go for the latter you gain less experience points however by finishing the battle earlier you save some SP, so here enters your management.

The Palaces are huge so don’t expect to finish them in an in-game day alone. They have also some puzzle mechanics of sort and here is where the game should be better as I would love to see this enhanced. I’m not saying the game should have like Zelda puzzles or something… actually scratch that! That would’ve been awesome! Why games don’t rip off Zelda?
What I’m trying to say is: make better puzzles and make them more prevalent. Making the Palaces more action oriented would be a dream too - instead of climbing when the X button prompt appears give the players the liberty to do so and figure out things for their selves.

I don’t think I need to say he obvious about the awesome anime graphical style so I’d like to focus on an aspect that’s been dying in modern gaming: the music. Much of the experience is enhanced by it as each Palace has a different incredible theme. A battle theme music with lyrics? Yup, Persona manages to pull it off splendidly! The song of the final fight (Rivers in the Desert) is so amazing I put in my playlist. Still in the audio department: a huge shout-out to the voice actors (I played in English) as this is THE BEST voice acting I’ve seen in a game; particularly for Ann and Ryuji actors.

Persona 5 sure is a slow burner and it’s a different game. I remember hating it my first try ditching it in the first Palace; I returned one year later with another mentality and didn’t want the game to end. So some patience is required until it clicks but is a game worth giving a shot (but buy Persona 5 Royal instead since it adds another chapter and more Personas)

    Nota: 9.0/10

That leap of faith made me fall in love with the character and game all in one fell swoop. 100 Hours worth the playtime every minute of gameplay i offered to give. Along with that the offer of bonding with the characters both main and side allows multiple playthroughs and opportunities to make each experience different and unique along with having detailed backstories for each character. My only gripe with the game is that sometimes once after you finish changing the heart of your target it becomes a sorta slow since most would finish the dungeon at a fast pace. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I love this game and adore the characters. The leads are a very colorful cast of miscreants and outcasts. Fun game with a great mix of challenge. Colorful and fantastical presentation, some cringe worth and silly dialogue, but hey they are a bunch of teens and adults trying to sound cool in front of said teens. The issues I have is the third act falls apart before and after the climax, the need for Atlus to make replay-ability like its predecessors. Only issue with that is they did not make any other reason, to do so, like other games in which you get different plot lines, alternate endings strictly for completing it multiple times, like Nier Automata or hell even New Gundam Breaker. The sole reason to complete it again is for the different personas, but then you realize, you have played the same dungeons, same side quest, four to five times for personas to beat the same dungeons and bosses you have already beaten several times before. The game is far from perfect, but it is still an awesome game. Expand
