If you do only " 1 " you will feel lack of content and depth. If you want to do it by the " 2nd way" , I think it makes it a more enjoyable game. It depends on you if you want to invest your time or not.

The heavy weighted Blizzard company, has created a world, a multi platform experience. It is primarily a game, but it has a free access comics and beautiful short movies that makes you get emotionally compromised with the characters. This adds a very fun and pleasant way to explain the character's background. If you like arts, movies and shooters, immerse yourself in the world and you will not be disappointed. All the components are very dedicated in terms of maximum professionalism and quality. Art direction, extremely balanced gameplay, sounds and music, animations, level design etc...

If your going to buy this game you must be prepared for: no campaign, a lot of colors, a lot of abilities and super high speed battles.

However if it's your kind of game or not, I can perceive that it has so much dedication and love, that is inspirational for all small and medium video game developers. I think it's a very refreshing game to this generation, conscious of the needs of the modern players.

For me, it's a very good example of how a video game should be done.

I can't wait for the upcoming updates of the game.

For the people saying it lacks content, I would say that quality over quantity is always better and the game is not that short, there are frequent updates and seeing as it's Blizzard, the updates should keep on coming for a while.

So give this game a shot and I'm sure you won't regret it, afterall the World could always use more Heroes!

This is my first time leaving a review, I decided to do so because I thought it was a bit silly that this game had a 6.1 user average. As someone who had gotten bored of most video games for years, Overwatch finally brought me back and I've logged close to 300 hours over the past half year.

The important thing to note: This is a PvP game. There is no campaign or anything of that sort.

The important thing to note: This is a PvP game. There is no campaign or anything of that sort. If you're not into online competitive games, you likely won't get as much out of this game as others. That said:

I was introduced to Overwatch by a friend who described it as TF2, but better, and while I was skeptical they were completely right. With four classes and 23 heroes (and more to come), each with their own unique aesthetic, abilities, and gameplay that all stand out, there is quite a bit of depth in that regard. Whether you want to be a massive hammer swinging german tank that protects their teammates, a roller blading aura caster that can ride on walls, a sharpshooting cowboy, or an adorable climate scientist that freezes your opponents, this game has a plethora of roles to fill. All of the maps are beautiful, memorable, and generally well designed. The catch being there are only 4 (technically 5) regular game modes (Capture Point, King of the Hill, Payload, 1v1/3v3 Elimination, and Capture Point / Payload hybrids), with each map having a specific game mode. Although, there have also been limited time holiday modes and brawls (such as Lucioball and Dr. Junkensteins Revenge) with more to come in the future. The upside to this is that Blizzard is extremely attentive to the community, regularly updates / tunes heroes to be more balanced or in line with their vision, and has stated they are actively seeking out new modes to implement. Since launch they have already added two new heroes, two maps (one with a new game mode), three holiday events, and another map just around the corner (all for free).

One of the aspects I love most about this game is that teamwork is paramount, easily trumping individual skill. I had long been tired of games like Halo and Call of Duty where it is largely a chaotic fest of people running and gunning without a care to what their teammates are up to. With the hero designs, ultimate abilities, and structure of maps, it is far more important to focus on coordinating pushes and defenses with your teammates than having Godlike aim. If you try to run around as a lone wolf, you will get shut down by those who have learned to stick together and synergize.

Overall it is an amazing game if you like team oriented and competitive multiplayer, even if you haven't traditionally been a fan of shooters (with the diverse character designs, you may not find even yourself using a gun all that much). If online multiplayer isn't your thing however, you may find the $60 or $40 price tag hard to justify.

Overwatch is a crazy, colorful online shooter that is a lot of fun to play despite an apparent lack of depth to it. Sadly there is no single player campaign (even something short and simple like in Splatoon would have been welcome) but the amount of maps, characters and items to unlock game me plenty of hours of joy.

For me the part I like is trying to improve in competitive. the only reason for me that I didn't give a 10/10 score is because the community is fairly toxic to the point I don't even bother with team chat anymore, I think Blizzard should be doing a better job of finding these people.

Only wish they included a button to report ps4 players. People a while back were using a glitch to win matches, but they patched it. Would have been nice to be able to report the people who were ruining the game. Hasn't been a issue since like last fall.

My critical analysis of Blizzard’s ‘Overwatch’ is based on my own time playing Overwatch, clocking up to around 8 months now; giving it a fresher, more up to date review of the FPS.
Having garnered over 500 hours on Overwatch’s competitive mode alone, I can securely say the balancing previously mentioned in other reviews as ‘clearly unbalanced’ is no longer the case and Blizzard have tweaked every Hero in order for a change in gameplay or generalised balance that makes the game fairer and more viable for everyone’s playstyle.
Despite the surprisingly limited number of game modes and maps, I still find every game of Overwatch fun as I’m always matched with new people who have different play styles, keeping me on edge to play good in every game. I will give an explanation of each of the three main categories of the game are; Quick Play, Arcade and Competitive:
Quick Play – A ‘normal’ game of Overwatch with no specific skill ranking, only level based match making which essentially means nothing, only how many hours you’ve spent on any of the three categories. Extremely useful during the start of me playing overwatch as I was not punished, via rank, for being so bad. Giving me a place to learn new characters and also alongside other newbies so I wasn’t completely decimated by obviously more skilful players. However as the ranks go up, particularly in my experience around the ‘first star’ (level 100) the players you match with who are of similar level become less and less interested and determined to win as before, more frequent mid-game dropouts, people who are testing a new hero out and other minor things that essentially put me off playing quick play solo. In contrast however, playing quick play with friends is a lot more fun as you are also matched with people in teams, making it a lot more enjoyable personally. Overall, quick play is a great learning curve that diminishes it’s playability the higher level you progress.

Arcade – Seasonal events all year round that are fun and new for players to have a different kind of game. Overall, the arcade offers mediocre alternative supplements for a bored player however is used for player testing of new maps, after being tested first on the PTS on PC, which is a lot of fun to experience a completely new map; a rarity in Overwatch due to the seriously stalled map releases throughout the years. I feel as though the whole Arcade mode is deserving of being on the main screen however seriously lacking in creativeness throughout most of the year, take Rocket League for example, their ‘Rocket Labs’ can be linked to Overwatch’s Arcade mode as new things are tested by the public and based on feedback released. The only major difference being game modes in Overwatch’s Arcade are almost never seen again once they leave, maybe having a saved game mode list where players can play any pre-released game mode on a privately hosted lobby would be a better alternative.

Competitive – A much more serious game mode for the more in tune players who want a very different game style as in quick play because everyone wants to win! Overwatch’s competitive ranking system drives you to keep playing as a team and win to gain level and increase your ranking, however still punishing you if your team loses. Despite what many biased, too personal, reviews say about the ranking system completely destroying your hard earned rank by 1 or more people in your team leaving prematurely, lagging out, or ‘throwing’, the way the ranking system works is based on your own personal player skill in every game. However it is gruellingly annoying when a player clearly has not tried in a game and resulted in a loss as you more commonly lose more SR from losses than gaining it from winning.
Conclusively, I rate Overwatch a metacritic score of 8/10 and personal score of 82/100. Based off extensive personal play time across a long period of time, allowing me to experience different ‘waves’ of the Overwatch game itself and its community within it. I highly rate the competitive aspect of the game although it is heavily team dependant which can cause a lot of losses, doesn’t feel that great. Would defiantly recommend this game to anyone who finds it fun to learn and develop a range of different characters to perfection, playing either competitively or just for fun in arcade mode. Excellent game that does not deserve a lot of the negative reviews online, by users, and especially outdated reviews that comment on already addressed bugs or things that have been fixed.

What makes overwatch unique is that it consists of 21 unique characters who all have different weapons and special abilities. Overwatch basically takes every cool element in video games (teleportation, grappling hooks, wall running, etc) and puts them in a pot and shares them equally with every unique character; and characters are surprisingly very balanced, you'll wish they just had one different power so they'll be perfect. It's mostly a spamfest of special abilities, and I enjoy it. The only and I say this with an exclamation point..downfall of overwatch is the lack of game modes, a lack of playlist, and even a lack of a deathmatch. There are literally two-three game modes in this game (listed above), and I'm shocked there are no deathmatch.. sometimes I just want to kick back and kill stuff and you know? Shame, this game is an high 8 to me, but could easily be a 9+ if given more game modes and an actual playlist. Buy this game if you like multiplayers that depends on working together as a team, an arcadey shooter that focuses on your special abilities, and if you like the challenge of grinding to master a character to dominate your peers. Avoid this game if you can't stand "futuristic" fps shooters, and are looking for boots on the ground fps (like cod and battlefield). Also a big chance you'll hate this game if you plan on lone wolfing it/not working as a team. If all you do in these games is run and gun, you will die A LOT. Expand

Overwatch is a fun and unique experience. With heroes with different abilities, its hard to master all classes. At release, Overwatch was a small game. With only 3 game modes and a handful of maps to keep it going. No campaign. But over the years, Overwatch has grown with new heroes, new maps, new ideas. A fun, competetive multiplayer experience.

Overwatch is that special kind of game that suits many different sub genre of gamer and as many different skill levels to boot. From your FPS loving hardcore "Pr0" to your casual "i'll play a little after work" kinda guy.
Combining the fast paced action of an FPS with moba-like un-lockables including skins, sprays and voice lines, there's a LOT to enjoy about Overwatch and very few things to fault it on.

    So let's talk gameplay.
Overwatch as of writing this review has several game modes including Quick Match (6vs6, for your quick casual games), competitive (for your more stressful but more rewarding gaming needs), custom game, training and Arcade, which itself houses several OTHER game modes!. Since the game's original launch 2 new Hero's, multiple hero changes and the previously mentioned competitive mode and arcade mode were added, and there's plenty more to come as Overwatch continues to grow.

Most Matches are played against teams of 6 players each side, where each player chooses from a roster of 23 (current number) hero's to do battle against each other. Each hero has their own unique play style, abilities and role so it's very important to choose which hero you think is best for your team, and dealing with the enemy. The great thing about Overwatch is that you can switch out your hero mid game! meaning there's endless possibilities and no match is ever the same.

Let's talk a lil bit about competitive and the community though shall we?
I've played competitive since it launched and am currently Diamond on the PS4 (rankings are Bronze - Silver - Gold - Platinum - Diamond - Master - Grand Master - top 500) however I've played with players as low down as silver and as high up as top 500, and so I can say without a doubt that the higher you advance in rank, the more toxic the community becomes.

Outside of the game, the Overwatch community can be a bit over-hyped with fan content, cosplay and the like but are generally a friendly bunch, but when it comes to a player around platinum rank or above possibly loosing a bit of their ranked rating? you're gonna know about it!

All in all I couldn't recommend Overwatch anymore than I already do, but please be warned that it is a competitive FPS, you are going to get salty toxic players in any and all game modes regardless of rank, and will see much more of that if you decide to go competitive. If the idea of being angrily messaged should you make a slight mistake doesn't dishearten you however, then get out there and win! coz y'know, the world could always use more hero's! (...sorry)

There are many characters to fit whichever playstyle suits you best. It's vibrant, with great maps and the online runs well. Most of the time it puts you into matches of equally skilled opponents, which is the other main point to nail in a competitive game. One thing to note is that having a few friends in a team based game like this to play with on the regular vastly influences how much fun you'll have with this title. The other thing worth mentioning is that although this game will keep you busy for dozens of hours I wouldn't say it quite has the variety from match to match to keep me hooked like some previous blizzard greats, such as diablo 2, warcraft 3 or starcraft 2. I think that it has something to do with a lack of real progression and the loot boxes are sort of "Meh". Also having all of the cinematic content online and not incorporated into the game, feels a bit off. In the end this is an excellent competitive game and an interesting new IP for blizzard, that doesn't quite reach the full on legendary addiction of previous blizzard greats. Expand

Speaking of which, the characters are also very well balanced.

This game is most fun when played with friends but playing with random players can be fun too. Teams require balancing roles such as one healer and one tank, if you're a team player you can fill one of these roles yourself. Players who have a tendency to stick to one favourite character will not shine here. Overwatch is all about changing characters and adapting to the situation.

When I first read about Overwatch it was not in my wishlist. The animated shorts raised my curiosity but the beta access was when I had made up my mind that this is a game I absolutely must have. This game is fun, intense with a good sense of humour.

There is no microtransaction necessary for this game. There is nothing pay-to-win and only cosmetic things can be bought with real money. But fear not, you can also unlock them by playing the game.

This game simply has no notable flaws and thus I give it a 10/10.

Surprisingly, I never heard of this game until the free weekend a month ago ( I never played a Blizzard game before), played it, loved it, bought it almost immediately. Such a great game to play with friends, either in a casual or more serious tone. Since last month I've already sinked in 150 hours.

"Overwatch" is an interesting game for me because it has all of the things in modern gaming that I don't particularity care for: the fact that it is a moba, no single player campaign, a heavy reliance on online multiplayer , and a micro transaction system. Considering my usual tastes in gaming I should dislike this game but with all of that said most of the elements really work well in this case. Many people can agree that this is a real breath of fresh air for what is otherwise a stale genre in the modern gaming sense. It manged to combine the moba and online shooter genre to near-perfect results. There is a progression system but it is only for cosmetic purposes such as alternate costumes voice clips or spray cans. They can be achieved by getting loot boxes which are acquired after leveling up. You can get more through micro transactions which is a shame for a well respected company such as Blizzard but at least it is only for aesthetic purposes and does not affect the game play. I am also surprised that this game does have so many perfect scores eve though there is pretty minimal content. The maps are small and there are only approximately 3 or 4 game modes. This game could benefit with having more maps and more modes. Single player campaigns are not the priority for these types of games but considering how diverse the cast is and their unique powers it would be interesting to have a story mode which would further explore these characters and the Overwatch lore. Despite these setbacks the game is still a blast to play. Players have accesses to all of the heroes at the start and each of them are unique and play a certain role. No two characters play alike in fact the game outright discourages you from only picking one champion since the heroes are split into the following roles for your team: assault, defense, tank, and support. The characters are not only diverse in their powers but also in their play styles. The controls are the same for each chracter but how they feel is incredibly different. Every champion is fun t play as and the game encourages experimentation to see which ones you are best at and which ones are good at certain maps. The game also keeps you on your toes because the action is smooth and quick. The pvp is the major highlight of the game as you test your skills against your opponents. The bright and colorful aesthetic is also a nice breath of fresh air after years of multiplayer shooters being in murky grey r brown. The heroes are distinct and the game play will give you an ad reline rush even if you loose as each game feels like a fair challenge instead of having players use cheap tactics to win. This is one of the best multiplayer games on the market. It could use some more content to keep its player base coming back for more but fortunately Blizzard has confirmed that any future maps and champions will be free. Blizzard has yet another beloved franchise under their belt. Expand

It features a variety of playable characters (21) whose skills can perfectly complement each other - you can also switch between characters mid-game in attempt to 'change the tide' of the way a match is panning out; if your team mates are dying frequently you can switch to a healer or when you're running out of time (as the attacking team) you can switch to a 'tank' character (who has health in abundance) in order to rush the opposing team. It's this choice and diverse range of characters that is one of the reasons I feel like playing much, much more; they all feel unique.

The game-modes that are there are very fun; there is quick play (attackers go after two objectives the defenders are protectint, both teams attacking a control point and the attackers transporting a vehicle throughout the map - if it reaches the end they win - if not, they lose) and not to mention the 'weekly brawl' which is a crazy game-mode; this weeks is that you're only allowed to pick Mercy or Pharah so the battles are mostly ariel

. Sometimes it can feel samey, if it had three or four more maps (they're adding more maps and characters for free in the future!) and potentially two 'brawl of the week' game modes instead of just once a week (they'd have to change the name) it may keep the game from feeling tiresome when playing alone - it's still fun - but it's better in a team!

The level design is good with some different pathways to exploit (some levels are more narrow and some more open) such as areas to flank the enemy and make full use of the abilities you have. There are characters who perhaps need tweaking but overall it doesn't ruin too much due to the extremely fun and 'one more go' gameplay, but some characters can be an annoyance at times.

The competitive mode at the time of writing this is a mess - however it is said they have a patch for the leaving issue! If your team is 2-0 down and one person leaves, the game says you can leave without punishment - but with a loss. This means that if people think they are likely to lose anyway, they might as well quit the game. Because the competitive mode's rules are as so, this has lead me to be apart of a match where there has been (on my team) two players remaining and I've even been in a match where only one player in the opposing team has remained - and credit to them! Personally, I feel like you should get punished if you leave unless your team only has at least four players - or perhaps they should make it so you get punished if you leave at all! Another gripe would be that at the start of a match, if a player leaves, it will cancel the match for everyone and put them in another one. I think they should allow matchmaking if it's at the start of a match, and if it's halfway way through they should potentially add AI - however, if they change it so that you're punished if you leave at all - you would probably experience less people leaving!

All items you collect are cosmetic and some consist of skins, icons and poses ect, it is a game that most, if not everyone can simply pick up and enjoy. The gameplay is very good fun (60-70 + hours played) but I just wish there was more of it and competitive was better. Despite the problems at its current state - it still warrants an 8/10 due to the way the developers are treating it and the potential it holds to become even better.

Bought this game in January after spending months trying to ignore it. I have nearly 500 hours on it as of today. This game is extremely addictive but most importantly its fun. Its more fun than i have had in a video game in a long time. Overwatch is basically the accumulation of all the best features from fps games in the past 20 years.

Ignore those giving reviews about balancing issues, if you take the time to actually pay attention to what is going on, you will have a great time. On the other hand you can just play Soldier 76, have a beer and shoot stuff. Either way, you will have a good time.

Overwatch has a lot going for it. Being a team-based game, a lot of the enjoyment of an individual match will come from your teammates and how well you work together, but there is still a lot of individual skill required. Some characters seem OP, but the more you get to playing them, the more you recognize that the player controlling them matters a lot more than the character. The other major thing this game does is let you change your character during the match, this allows for countering and altering strategies as the match progresses.
Overall, the only things making this game less than perfect are the few game modes and lack of meaningful progression. But the core game play is incredibly fun and the variety of the characters make this a great game.

The other thing I like is you don't feel robbed when you die, and the only REAL penalty to dying is having to find your way back to the OBJECTIVE, you don't lose much else.

While many are complaining about balancing issues on the console versions, Blizzard has been pretty quick to addressing problems and is introducing fixes very soon. Overwatch is a fun experience and one of the most balanced I've ever played. Combine that with free content updates with no need for a season pass and Overwatch is a $60 you won't regret spending.

Each hero falls into a category which include Offense, Defense, Tank and Support, and each one plays a very different role on many of the maps in Overwatch. Also it depends if you're defending the object or attacking the objective and trying to push the payload, with this you must pick a hero that fit the necessities to complete your tasks while also doing your duties like healing fellow teammates or soaking up massive amounts of damage with your shield while your team pushes or defends. From Gamestop the game costs $60 dollars new and remember each console plays different whether you are playing it on a Computer or XBOX or Playstation each controls, graphics, and sound quality will be different. The controls are easy to grasp on most platforms but not too sure on PC because I play this game on the PS4, but other than that they also give you the option to change controls if you are used to another control on another console which is great at times.

But keep in mind the rating of the game is Teen because of blood and violence, but excluding this, the game is really fun and I enjoy playing new characters in competitive matches with other people. I wouldn’t recommend it to people under the age of 8 or 9 because younger people may have a hard time grasping the harder play style of the game or understanding the objectives or controls.

I really like this game because of it’s diverse feelings and that you can play with other people including your friends and another thing I really enjoy is the loot boxes and the skins because they are really cool and detailed and the loot boxes are like prize for leveling up in game. One thing I don't enjoy is the players that are rude while you play, making the game less enjoyable. I would rate this game 5/5 stas because it’s really fun and engaging for a first person shooter

Developed by Blizzard, Overwatch is fun game with simple controls that are easy to learn. The game is a little pricey being at sixty dollars but it’s worth it. Overwatch is a game for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. Overwatch can keep you entertained with all the game modes including: Quick play, 3v3, Competitive, Brawls, Custom and even more. Overwatch is a very fast paced game, so you have stay alert. Even though the game is fast it is still fun to play.

The game is set sixty years into the future so all the weapons and maps are very futuristic and are very developed. Overwatch is a game that has amazing graphics in the maps and also the weapons. In Overwatch you can customize the characters by getting different skins to put on them. You can get skins from loot boxes or with credits that can come in loot boxes. Some of the characters include: Tracer, Genji, Hanzo, Mcree, Soldier 76 and tons more. Overwatch is only online online, that means it can go both ways, good and bad. It is good because you can play with people and friends that are not with you, but it’s bad because you can’t play locally and you have to be able to play online or you can’t play at all. Something I would recommend is playing with friends. You don’t have to but if you do you get 20% more XP.

All in all Overwatch is a very fun game to play. Overwatch is rated teen but I think it could be for kids littler than that if their parents let them. Once you start playing you can’t stop. It hooks you in. Like I said Overwatch will keep you entertained for days. I think this is one of the best games of the year. If you have any questions about Overwatch I will try my best to answer them.

This year for Christmas, all I wanted was a new Ps4. I was very confident that I would be getting one, so I looked into some possible games that I would like. It didn’t take me very long to find Blizzard's new console creation, called Overwatch. It was recommended on many websites that I looked on, (Amazon, Gamestop, and blockbuster) I was very interested in the game from the start. I watched many trailers and game play videos, to make sure this was the game I wanted. I loved it, I couldn't wait to start playing it. I showed my parents, and they thought it also was a cool game except for how pricey it could get. You are required to buy Ps plus / or Xbox Live which gets pretty pricey, and the game itself which costs forty dollars.

Christmas morning I found out that I was correct, I got the Ps4 and Overwatch. I hurried down and set it all up and shortly was able to play. The game immediately introduces itself with the characters explaining why you were chosen to become apart of their elite force of heroes. You are then sent to a screen that has many game modes including season three, quick play, arcade, custom, and player versus AI.
Quick play is my only a shorter game that you play against people who are your level. In arcade mode there are many different types of game modes including three Versus three, the event mode, no limits, brawl list, and Mystery hero. The most recent event mode was, capture the flag. No limits is where there is no limitations on the hero's your team chooses. Brawlist is a playlist of different events. like everyone has to be one hero, or everyone has to be a Certain type of hero.

When you choose one of these game modes you enter a skirmish while you wait for your main match to load. In this skirmish you can try out new characters and the map. I really love this feature because instead of having to watch the loading sign as you wait for a match you can play with other people that are also waiting for a match. Once your match has been found they pull you out of the skirmish and bring you into your match. Your then put in a kiosk where you choose your hero. After everyone selects their hero you enter the map. The teams wait in different ends of the map, until everyone is let go at once and you fight. At anytime when you die, you can change your hero to change the course of the match. After the match ends you watch the play of the game, and you get exp. you use the exp from the match to level up.

In the end my point is that this a very good choice if you are choosing a new game to play. The animation is much better than any other game I have played. I truly believe that this game has great potential for the future, I don’t see this game getting old. It always has new ways to bring back there players. New events come out often, keeping the game up to date. Overwatch has also received many awards such as game of the year, Best Studio/Game Direction, best multiplayer of 2016, and many more. I rate this game 4.5 stars.

I have since gotten myself addicted. While I do enjoy a good campaign, the majority of my time and enjoyment with a FPS comes from online multiplayer. To trash this game based on the lack of depth is immature and misguided. This game is being rated poorly by people who are just not a right fit for it. I don't enjoy fighting games one bit, but that doesn't mean I'm going to go give Mortal Kombat or Naruto Shippuden a 2 or 3-point rating.

This game needs to be viewed objectively. The replayability is top-notch. The variance in team chemistry is top-notch. The fact that Blizzard continues to add characters and maps, free of charge, is rare in modern gaming. Blizzard actually listens to its fanbase. The only place I might draw issue with this game (other than a few minor grievances I have in-game) is with the price. This is often compared to TF2 (rightly so). And that is likely why so many people feel Overwatch is really only one piece of a game. But I think if campaign only games can thrive on their own, so can multiplayer-only. Especially considering the latter has much more replayability.

And as a side-note, I think any review should be completely disregarded if they claim this should be a free-to-play game. Entitlement in the consumer community is just as detrimental to video game progression as things like microtransactions and games being released only half-finished..

Overwatch is not a stupid clone of Team Fortress 2 as many thought. Overwatch is much more interesting, more colorful, it is much nicer to play. In Overwatch a large number of characters that will only grow. Each character not similar to each other both appearance and gameplay. Fun to play for each character. Don't focus on one, try different characters for different gameplay (even the doctors are different). Yes, the game has gameplay similar to Team Fortress 2 (even some characters), but still it is distinctive. Overwatch can be called mobay, especially all the characters have their own special ultimate. Timely filed ultimate can change the course of the match (I will not say. that's good). You can even combine ultimate between characters of the team.

The maps where we play as different. The design of the game is good, and the game itself looks great. Let some say that cartoony is the style of the game very well. Some cards, I think. there is a certain imbalance: some are easier to win for the defense, and the other for the defense.

Overwatch refers to the type of games easy to play but hard to master. In this game, just need to have a full team. You are alone in this game will not do anything, how skilled you wouldn't be. This game decides the interaction between the team. Even if you'll play well, because teams still lose. For playing Overwatch you need to have a good team. Yeah, playing with random players is also possible, but will be less fun at times.

So how long will be interesting to play this game? I played Overwatch in a little less than 200 hours and is tired of playing games. She no longer brings me joy. The problem with Overwatch is annoying (although I won't speak for everyone). In this game there is no plot, Yes, there is lore and wonderful videos on YouTube, but that doesn't count. Overwatch is a wonderful multiplayer game, the interest of which is purely individual - someone she will hold for long, some don't. I fell in love with these characters, but the gameplay is boring, and it is very annoying that this is purely a team game - sometimes because of his bad team, you just can't do anything and only have to suffer until the end of the round. In Overwatch a lot of random moments that I just hate. I played Overwatch in a little less than 200 hours, and she gave me so many emotions, and what you want.

The competitive is the heart of this game, while other game modes such as the arcade are not very well made, but that doesn't really matter since one will typically be playing either competitive or quick play. The other major issue for this game is character balancing. Blizzard has done a poor job at keeping characters balanced and not over powered, characters such as Bastion and Mei can usually be game ruiners if they are not on your team since they take little difficulty to play and are too strong when compared to more fair characters. Overall though, this is hands down the next big shooter on consoles and PCs because of its different ideas and characters. Expand

At this point in the development of Overwatch, which I really enjoyed a few months cause its a fun game. but they are currently not focused on balancing character but instead on over-buffing the absolute hell out of all the characters. don't get me wrong here like I said before the game is a blast, but it is super hard to play for the long term cause gameplay gets bland and repetitive. For people looking for a nice "sit down and relax with my friend's" game then this is a great option.

    +great smooth gameplay
+allot of hero's to pick from that are all unique and different
+constant developer attention to community and feedback
-very few modes for the abundance of maps the game provides
-gameplay gets kind of bland and predictable after a few days of playing

Overall: the game is a well made game in every right and its a fun game for casual play, but unless you are going to get super into, it its not a game that most would play for long term periods.

True, When I first tried this game, I was truly sceptical of it (specially about spending 60 bucks) and I was against playing a game with no campaign mode as well, but it won me over. Yes, it took all its inspiration from Team Fortress, Blizzard says it all the time, but they created so many different characters and refined so many mechanics just trying to provide the best fun and gameplay possible. They have been constantly updating for free new characters, maps and modes.
Playing online with other people, was something hard for me until I played this game; we all know how competitive things can get on this platform, but you can pick up certain characters with certain skills and still do a good job adjusting to your abilities and play style. Give it a shot, there´s a character for everyone.
In case you are fully new to Overwatch, it focuses on Team vs Team, only (except for special events where is 1vs6, or PVE), with few but very fun modes (defending points as king of the hill and escorting a payload, or even hybrid) in a variety of maps, which I must say, were really thought trough and are well designed so any character can shine and none are in full disadvantage or advantage). Blizzard truly did an amazing job risking it and betting on this IP. Give it a try on those free weekends, or when it´s $30. It is fun no doubt in short bursts or if you want to invest yourself in the competitive scene.
It´s FUN, and hasn´t lost momentum. I find this type of shooter, like Team Fortress, more fun than having the typical resolution of match based on deathmatches and head count.

In the world of first-person-shooters, it’s very difficult to find original titles with individuality, variety, and overall creative ideas. But when the game studio, Blizzard, took it upon themselves to create their own FPS title, they manufactured a gaming Giant. But when the game studio, Blizzard, took it upon themselves to create their own FPS title, they manufactured a gaming Giant. While Overwatch is very similar to other games in the class-based FPS genre such as Valve’s Team Fortress 2 and Gearbox’s Battleborn, It manages to stand out in its own way with its creativity, visuals, and overall addictive nature. Sadly, while the game doesn't have an actual campaign, Overwatch’s story is explained in the very beginning when the player first boots up the game. As told by the intelligent ape scientist, Winston, in the distant future, mankind became careless, and the machines they built rose up and raged war against them for dominance. So in a last attempt of desperation to reestablish peace, Overwatch was assembled. An elite team made up of the best soldiers, fighters, minds, and prodigies in the world. The attempt was a success. Overwatch helped settle the war and establish world Peace. However, because of that, Overwatch was disbanded due to the fact that they weren't needed anymore. But after horrible tragedy kept occurring many years later, Winston contacts all of the Overwatch members to reunite and fight for what's right once again. In terms of the game’s visuals, Overwatch boasts an expansive, dazzling color palette with stunning three-dimensional graphics and resolution that really lends itself to the game's overall appeal. And the roster of playable heroes in Overwatch is probably the best part of the game. Never has there been a class-based FPS title with this much variety. Out of 25 characters with new ones added every year, and the four classes they fit into, no two characters play the same. For instance, Rinehart and Winston are both tanks but do the job differently. If your team needs lasting, straightforward protection then you clearly use Reinhart, but if your team needs to rush the enemy as quickly as possible while still needing protection, then the incredibly mobile Winston would be a better choice. And it's because all of the characters in Overwatch are unique and drastically different in play style and design that makes the game so much fun. 25 ways to play, and you can play anything from an African powerhouse with a giant fist to a robotic munk with levitating orbs around his neck. And they all have varying damage, health, skill ceilings, mobility and situational effectiveness. Combine that with the fact that each character has as powerful move that they can charge up to possibly turn the tides of a game and you have a recipe for a good time. Overwatch gameplay is in general, solid. 6 vs 6 matches are the norm and they’re most of the time fast-paced and chaotic, which makes them lots of fun but sometimes infuriating if the players aren't skilled enough to handle the game’s extremely high skill ceiling. Due to Overwatch being an online- team based game, each of the 25 heroes have to be put in carefully constructed teams that compliment each other's abilities if the players want to win. Luckily, Blizzard nailed online capabilities in Overwatch. Players can team up with their friends in parties and even befriend, communicate with, and start other parties with random players online! Which allows communication between team members which in turn allows for strategy to be discussed amongst a team. Even though there’s only 15 maps in Overwatch as of now which is especially weak compared to TF2’s monster selection of over 100, they are very expensive and have a lot of possible routes and paths, and it's a lot of fun to discover new secret areas to abuse the game. And with there being a handful of modes to the maps such as capturing a point, pushing a payload or doing both, there’s a lot of possibilities to each scenario. Overwatch truly delivers in side content, there is an always expanding plethora of modes to play outside of the normal quick play and competitive, and the player can even make their own modes in the custom game mode, and post them online with the literally millions of other modes made by other players. Another area where Overwatch shines though, is the dozens and dozens and dozens of collectibles that each character can have. All of which are interchangeable to each hero and aesthetically makes the player’s character their own. And each event that comes out over the years adds even more voice lines, sprays, highlight intros, emotes and costumes for all the characters. In the end, Overwatch nails just about every aspect that needs to be addressed for an FPS to be good, and it excels in those aspects to the endth degree to create a must-play experience for any kind of gamer. It’s well worth it's 2016 Game-of-the-year title. 10/10, Masterpiece. Expand

The in game lore is very interesting and is shown through voice lines, character interactions, cosmetics, and Easter eggs in the maps. This is aided by great customization options such as skins and sprays that add more flare to the game. The maps are all very simple but effective in design. They're big and offer many different ways to approach your enemy's. You can really see the effort that went in to make sure each character is viable on every map. The objectives also offer intense and engaging moments to the match and every game something new seems to happen. Most of the heroes are super fun to play and are very unique and diverse. They're fun and mostly balanced with a few exceptions. Also some heroes just aren't as fun to play as others. Some of the main problems i have with this game is that the progression is very slow and the loot box system feels kinda cheap with how long it takes to obtain them. Overwatch is one of the most fun and unique experiences in a video game I've ever had. A colorful cast of heroes each all unique and are fun, big beautiful maps, intriguing lore, and fun objectives. The best part is the game is constantly growing and changing adding new things that shake up every-thing so it encourages replay value. A truly unique experience.

The colorful cartoon inspired design of the characters is unique and the polish of the game is incredible. The game looks great with its unique style and all the characters and locations have unique looks and stand out. The voice acting is mostly great and the game has great sound design. The in game lore and interesting characters are amazing even though the game is very lacking in any single player or co-op content. However the game-play of the main multiplayer is the real standout. The game feels great and the controls are very responsive. The heroes are unique and have there own role to play on the battlefield and none feel quite alike. The maps are plentiful and diverse, objectives offer intense game-play and will have you very invested in your game. Their are a few heroes who feel way to powerful and their are many strategies that will frustrate you but that is to be expected with a multi-player game. My main concern is how slow the progression is. Climbing the competitive ladder feels to slow with very little meaningful rewards. Loot boxes offer some unique mechanics but also a whole pool of poorly designed ones, but also offer something too look forward too when leveling up. Overall a truly great multiplayer experience and one of the best in years for that matter, and a great business model offering unique content every few months despite it lacking in offering single player content. Highly recommended. Expand

I have played thousands of hours and still keep coming back. Sure the match can be frustrating but it is the kind of game that I really enjoy playing. So many free updates, new heroes, events and regular challenges kept it fresh whenever I started to get burned out. Will be playing this for years to come. The strength of the game is the cast of characters.

I really love this game, it's another one I play with my brother who got his when he saw how much fun I was having with mines.

I love playing all the characters though I mainly stick with Sombra, Mercy, D.va, Reaper, Ashe, Hanzo and Ana. I'm not all that great with the others but I play the ones I listed decently enough.

Sem dúvidas um dos melhores multiplayers da geração, mas ainda sim mal aproveitado. Ele poderia ser um grande rival do Fortnite, se fosse atualizado como deveria. Me viciei bastante, mas não há nada de inusitado no game, então...

Simply the best multiplayer shooter to come along in years. Pure, joyous fun. [July 2016, p.74]

That the game hangs together visually is remarkable; that it should cohere so well in design terms, unfathomable. [Aug 2016, p.104]

Blizzard's addictive and tactical team-based shooter is essential - the character-switching mechanic sweetens the genre. Group up with friends to avoid clueless carnage and enjoy the true game. [Aug 2016, p.82]
