    Imagine grinding this game for 100 hours to max your player, then 2k decides to nerf your player without any recourse.

    I also bought their MX called VC because the grind was rediculous in the first place.

    Company tries to milk customers by any means possible. Games wastes 100s of hours of your time by having 5 cutscenes and loading screens whereever possible. Gameplay wise very stale and scripted. Going against the meta (3 point barrage) is punished heavily by incompetent game design.

Many spin rewards don't work, game crashes, AIs are ridiculously dumb. And they basically copied most of the game and graphics from NBA 2k19 except with a lot more bugs with the newer version. The price tag is a joke, the game is so similar to nba 2k19, dont bother buying the new one. I really regretted spending the money on it.… Expand

    today the game is completely unbalanced. There is no type of defense, the players run up against the defenders by literally moving them and going to the basket as if the defender were not there. Online people have understood that the equipment for the whole field and going to the basket is the easiest and most effective way to make points. That being sad the game is slow and less exciting
    * dribble moves are sweet and well-done but by the time you cross someone up, you’ll be losing the ball because the computer wanted to high five you after that **** (Aka you dribbled onto jr Smith’s knee and turned it over)
    * myplayer has a good story, seems they know that’s the money making... but honestly it’s the same. The pickup courts are a rich kid at Center at height 7.1 overall 99 (can’t be done, but you understand hopefully) and a SG/SF pick and rolling on repeat. *myteam is pretty cool though, way better than Maddens ultimate team. *online ranked/quick play using actual teams is overall the same as before with the new gameplay... same **** happens... you win by 20 in the first and they leave. Andddd you get nothing. No stats... no level... nothing.

    What I miss and think should change.

    * online ranked (regular team being) should ban for 30 minutes, if you leave a match. DC/leave is a problem in every game but you have to deal with that and swallow that dc for a 15-30 minute ban.

    *myplayer should be easier to group with randoms somehow (idea, working on that)
    * passing should be quick, defense should change back to 2k12 style. You got the body work done, now add basic speed. Slow **** is boring and seems like I’m working instead of playing a game.
    * if I pass in the air, don’t make them retarded. It’s not that danm hard and is a common way of passing. Make it possible again. Same as old days, it’s not always a good idea, you might step out of bounce. But you can catch it. * overall ya’ll slackin. Whoever is workin on this... needs to go play basketball again and forget the graphics. It’s the gameplay we like. * 2k12-15 good job.(Didn’t play previous versions)

    Playing on pro vs all star is such a difference that its not even fair, my ai sucks and the other team makes everything. You would think after years of making basketball games they would finally get it but its just a money maker now they don't care about changing anything im not buying next years game

    Bought this game for the last decade but this is getting out of hand. This is not a basketball game. This has become a 0 skill pay to win game. Buying in game content is oke with me. If people like it they should go for it. But it shouldn't have any influence on your win chances so that the game is available too anyone!

    Broken game mechanics, microtransactions, lack of quality and authenticity to basketball, their too focused on monetizing the game and surrounding the game with advertisements, which would be fine if the game wasn't fundamentally broken. Full price game with free to play mobile microtransactions, little improvements from one game to the next, game is the living example of how a monopoly can work.

Prior to the launch of NBA 2K20 there was a lot of talk about in innovative new way to make your myplayer that would emphasize diversity and allow you to create players capable of doing more than just one thing. This myplayer system is ass. It encourages uniformity by limiting the types of builds you can make and allowing everyone to use the same badges. On top of this the badge system although at first glance a marvelous feature allowing players to choose exactly what badges they like is terrible. The badge system is a facade as many of the badges you are required to choose if you want to be a capable myplayer. In con-closing I think 2k20 is unconstitutional and I feel like it contradicts my civil liberties as an American citizen. 2k games needs to be held responsible. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS GAME.     This game is awful, it is a expansion pack of nba 2k19, but also is worst then 2k19 somehow. Littered with god awful micro-transactions. Players play unrealistically in quick play or black top making 100% contested shots but then missing the easiest. Then multiplayer is pay to win, nothing else to say about that.

Bugs have taken over the game ever since its birth and it has not been fixed since, and has possibly gotten worse. 2k devs clearly don't care about the game. All they care about is the cash that falls onto their fat laps during the games release. Its been like this since the 2k17 and it has not changed since.     This is legit the worst game I’ve ever played. I can’t even describe how much of a disappointment it is. No improvements made from 2k19. This game is not even slightly realistic with graphics that just would never happen in real life. Help defenders makes me want to break my ps4.

    To be honest this is the worst 2k I've ever played the gameplay is trash and slow, you miss layups with low coverage, you can't defend and I'm really considering not the next 2k.

    Hands down the worst NBA 2K I've ever played. I got it for half price on boxing day sale and even that is not worth it.

    I am a huge NBA fan and this game is a huge disappointment. Don't waste your money on this game.

    I recently purchased it to replace 2k17. I had played 2k19 before so I am familiar with the gameplay of the newer 2k games. The MyCareer mode is stupidly hard for no reason. It’s almost impossible to get assists because your teammates will miss almost every shot they take and the defenders are like magnets. I can’t for the life of me understand why they would get rid of rookie difficultyI recently purchased it to replace 2k17. I can’t for the life of me understand why they would get rid of rookie difficulty in mycareer. Foul calls are so ridiculously soft it’s not even fun to play anymore. Illegal screening is so easy to do that you can’t even run pick and rolls. The AI is way too good on stealing passes when they aren’t even looking at the ball and my 90rated 3 point player with silver catch and shoot still misses wide open 3s. Also whoever decided that layups need a shot meter should be fired because that is the stupidest **** I’ve ever seen. NBA players don’t miss open layups often enough to need a shot meter. Layups should be an automatic animation that may be affected by a defender. Even when I turned off shot meter affecting layups it still made me miss open layups. Also I have dunk packages equipped so why won’t my player ever dunk? The defense essentially cancels out deadeye because you will not make a shot with a defender closing out on you. Players who aren’t that good all of a sudden are hitting guarded 3s while my guy can’t hit an open running jumper. The defender always hedges our perfectly so pick and rolls are essentially useless. Grinding up is hard because you can’t do anything during games so you barely pick up enough coins to gain levels. Developers need to take a hard look at mycareer because they really messed it up in this game to the point where it’s not even fun or worth playing. Seriously considering getting a refund and going back to 2k17 even without servers. If there were negative ratings I would’ve given this game that.… Expand

    I would rate 2k20 a 2 out of 5 stars because first of all 2k20 is not nearly as good as 2k19. The dribbling in 2k20 is garbage compared to the dribbling in 2k19. 2019 was just a way more polished game and way better of a game then 2k20. The way 2k20 flows is very slow-paced. it's like they went down in graphics over a year. It’s way harder to get good at 2k20 then in 2k19.     Pretty good game with lots of micro transactions. Unlike madden the game modes themselves are deep, fun, and interactive. Gameplay is very similar to 19 and remains relatively bug free and smooth. Servers are a main concern as they are slow, laggy, and buggy. Besides this 2k20 is a decent installment of the franchise.

    This is my favorite multiplayer game of all time. Giving the game a 0 is not going to change Take Two’s opinion of microtransactions. Just be honest and acknowledge how much fun you’ve had with the game compared to others. I didn’t spend any money on VC and still had hundreds of hours of fun.

    NBA 2K20 includes fewer innovations than a "copy/paste club", yet manages to still play and feel pretty great. Gambling and microtransactions involved are becoming more and more toxic with each year tho.
