    This has got to be one of the most relaxing & creative games on the market. Although graphics are not a main feature of this game I think the fact that its like Lego for adults helps the cause. Just an all round entertaining game that improves every update. Cheap game also really fights its corner!!

    You know a game is good, when people come on and flood it with 0s just to make it look bad because the user score average is too high. The game is a mix of Skyrim, Harvest Moon, Don't Starve, and Legos all in one.

    If you want a challenge you will definitely get one on Hard. I've platinumed Demon Souls, and let me tell you, there's nothing more shocking than going to bed in a place you    You know a game is good, when people come on and flood it with 0s just to make it look bad because the user score average is too high. The game is a mix of Skyrim, Harvest Moon, Don't Starve, and Legos all in one.

    If you want a challenge you will definitely get one on Hard. I've platinumed Demon Souls, and let me tell you, there's nothing more shocking than going to bed in a place you thought you had made safe only to have a creeper land on your head as you exit your house and blow up half your house, and now you have 5 minutes to get everything before they disappear forever, and if the chest was too close to the door that can be EVERYTHING you've worked for.

    You can be mining around on Normal or Easy and before you know it some spider knocks you into lava and you burn to death and lose everything you had on you. Which is especially stressful after a long farm session. There's a sort of magesty to coming into a cave and finding waterfalls coming from the roof, and so you swim up the waterfall being very careful not to fall to your death only to find that a Skeleton is now shooting at you from afar.

    You can loot houses, you can build up villages, you can cure zombie villagers, you can farm enemies of varying difficulty. Blazes that shoot rapidfire fireballs, Ghasts that you reflect their attacks back at them, spiders being ridden by skeleton archers, witches that can poison you making the Diamond Armor you crafted and the enchantments on it, useless, so hopefully you brought some potions of healing that you brewed... All so you can kill them and get more exp for more brewing and enchanting.

    The real question is, why aren't you playing it? Did some idiot tell you it was just building houses, with no enemies and has no end game? They've never been to the end, not even on peaceful nevertheless hard. Want to bump up the challenge even more? People make custom PVP maps. You have 2000 friends, you have room for some PVP buddies to have fun with.

    It's a game like no other. Did I mention they have higher resolution graphics textures in the store? Try some out with the free demo, the game looks so much better you won't want to play it with standard graphics ever again. Enjoy.    … Expand

    How is it that a game that looks SO bad and plays mediocre be so much fun? You can build pretty much and do what you want..its your world to build. I think that's the main reason its so highly addicting. I found myself building a mine and building steps thousands of feet underground. Farming for hours and hours becomes worth it when you hit jackpot of diamonds. There is also something about finding a cave and seeing water falling from hundreds of feet in the air...also spending hours building your home is frustrating but when finished its an amazing feeling. I had a two story house with a basement. I used black blocks to make a TV and some to make a couch. You have to experience this,if you haven't, to really be able to put it into words.… Expand

    A game ripped straight out of my childhood, this game does still hold up. The game's creative mode is the one I play mostly when I boot up the game. It's calming to building something, with the soothing soundtrack that supports it. Survival is also fun to play, but I only do so with friends, as the experience skyrockets during multiplayer. Greed over need, for sure. And the fact that mods don't exist, a reason why the PC version is superior, brings it down a bit more.     Such a shame it went to Microsoft. Wanted a refund for an in-game purchase as the coins bought did not come up in my account. After two months of emailing they now decided to just ignore me. Really do not care about their players

    this game is really fun you can build whatever do mods beat the game with your friends and so much more but in my opinion the game is much for fun with friends than it is to play by your self.

    I LOVE how Mojang and Microsoft handled the switch from Legacy to Bedrock. At no extra cost. I thought they were going to drop support like they did for PS3 and 360. Also, you can switch between Legacy and Bedrock. So if you want to play the free minigames in Legacy like snowball fight you can easily do it. The Bedrock version has some performance issues sometimes but 95% of the time it'sI LOVE how Mojang and Microsoft handled the switch from Legacy to Bedrock. At no extra cost.     Its the same addictive gameplay with controls that seem uncomfortable at first but are easy to get use to. The only real complaint is the interface just isn't as efficient on console as it is on PC. But not much the developer could do there. Its a game that makes you forget what time it is.     I've played Minecraft on PC for years, but on PS4 it just feels more like a game. Smooth, easy to control and fun to play. Minecraft was meant to be played via console.

    In my opinion the only thing wrong with this is that it is not like the PC version with unlimited world size it is nice that you can use the touchpad for going through you're inventory but in my opinion it should up to date with the PC version.

    It is the same addictive game. If you are new to the game, the concept is, you have no goal, you survive the nights, build things and play with friends. The ps4 version has larger worlds than the ps3 and 360 edition. it also has a longer view distance. My main complaint with the game is the controls are not as customizable as i would like them to be. i would like to change the way toIt is the same addictive game.     There's nothing to say when it comes to minecraft other than "Here's a pick axe, go build something." truly a great game for the inner kid in you. This highly addictive game will bring you hours of joy and pleasure. even if you don't feel like playing just listen to the soundtrack. Its probably just the most soothing music ever created.     A very addictive game with probably the best value for money ratio on the PS4. Even though the graphic model is basic with it's pixellated and blocky appearance, it still produces amazing vistas.

    The only thing I expected more of is the amount of raw ores. For a game that's this expansive in every sense, that aspect feels a bit limited to me. + Fun + Addictive + Freedom +    A very addictive game with probably the best value for money ratio on the PS4.     It's great on the PS4 and you won't regret the purchase. Only downside is the version of the game, lagging far behind the PC. Microsoft says it won't treat the game any different and we can only hope that's true at this point.

And the game play is horrible compared to what you can do with a PC. Trust me, keep this out of the console. There are way better games out there to play on your PS4.     Fun, deep, varied gameplay. Minecraft is one of those games that can be played so many different ways, next gen just makes it a little deeper and look prettier. For the price it is any easy buy.

    Whilst Minecraft is initially an enjoyable experience, the magic wears off fast. I found the best way to enjoy this game was to treat it how it is, a really cool joke.

    If you can entertain yourself (i.e. you enjoy such games as The Elder Scrolls, Just Cause, Middle-Earth), then you will love Minecraft.
    Everyone knows about this game already, so I'll just tell about the PS4 version.
    It is very beautiful and colourful, so those who are afraid that it is subpar to the PC version must not fear.
    The PS4 version is complete and worthy.

    Same boring, stupid game. 18,99 is a pure rip-off, since you can get the same game on PC for free with better controls, mods, free texture packs, ...

    Running is extremely buggy
    Horrible map generation
    Trees still don't fall if you chop down the bottom block, which is stupid (Timber Mod FTW)
    No custom controls
    Outdated PC version

    Not worth the money.

    Trying to understand what purpose a game of this size into a powerful platform like Xone or PS4 ? I see only hum opportunism of producers in getting Large Financial Profits at the expense of public hum maybe confused.
    - My note would be different if this game sold one Fosse Behind 15 years .

    There are only a few reasons to buy this game on new gen consoles:
    1: You've never played Minecraft but can't play on a computer (or prefer not to).
    2: All your friends have it and you want to play with them. 3: The arguably minor improvements over last gen (The Touchpad controls are a nice touch, pun intended). 4: You want to port over a saved world from the PS3. 5: You're addicted.    There are only a few reasons to buy this game on new gen consoles:
    1: You've never played Minecraft but can't play on a computer (or prefer not to).
    2: All your friends have it and you want to play with them.
    3: The arguably minor improvements over last gen (The Touchpad controls are a nice touch, pun intended).
    4: You want to port over a saved world from the PS3.
    5: You're addicted.

    Know this, as of release content is identical to the previous gen console versions (No horses, no hoppers, no mesas, etc.) with the addition of bigger worlds, longer draw distance, and 60 frames per second. While updates have been promised (duh, it's Minecraft) be wary that Microsoft purchased the rights to this game so PS4 users may get screwed.

    However, Minecraft in general does deserve to be scored an 8 or above because there truly is nothing else like it (except for the clones). Minecraft is also polarizing and some people may be turned off by it's blocky and ugly graphics and lack of modern game features players have come to expect (plot, voice-acting, etc.). I however love the game and I have spent hundreds of hours on previous generation consoles building everything from castles, to hedge mazes, to roller coasters, and sprawling towns. And now, unfortunately, I feel like I've seen and done it all in any console version of Minecraft.

    So I can't in good conscience tell anyone to buy this game if they already have it for last gen consoles. As is, with the amount of fans and the money earned, 4J Studios (who recodes and ports the PC version of the game developed by Mojang) are going painfully slow now and I can't help but get the feeling that they won't stop milking this cash cow and continue to over-promise and under-deliver while still being way behind it's PC forerunner.    … Expand

    If you like farmville on face book you might be into this - i cant see how soo many people love this , it take soo much time to do anything and very little reward. i can only guess it looks so bad that most critics and gamers stare clear of it - leaving it open only for reviews by people that love this type of game.

    How I waited for the true iteration of the dedodated wam to come to playstation, he lied. I guess you could buy it, if you had a learning disability and liked blocks.

    Although I'm not a fan, my students and my daughter enjoy this game tremendously. It affords them many opportunities for creativity and entertainment. Good enough for an 8 due to the number of people I know that love this game and it's enormous cultural appeal.

    Excellent version and better than the PC edition. The main reason is crafting. The ingredients are shown in the PS4 version so no more frustration and wasted time using trial and error. Looks great on a large screen as well. So what if it doesn't use all of the processing power of the PS4. A great game is great because of content not it's use of technology.

Recreate Vegas or build the London eye, create a fantasy world or a underground city. Build under or over water, build in the sky the possibilities are endless.

    A fantastic game with a mesmerising soundtrack to add a lovely ambience to the worlds you are creating.
    Minecraft is the equivalent of having an unlimited box of Lego and an entire world to build in. If you don't already own it, I'd highly recommend adding it to your collection.    … Expand

    I want to start out by saying I love Minecraft, a lot, but if you want to play Minecraft the way it should be played there is really no other way to play than on a computer. The PS4 edition is very poor. The button mapping, and controller use in a game like this leaves a lot to be desired, and isn't anything I want to spend time in.     The PS4 does have better gameplay and good controls but still has a lot of flaws. The multiplayer is good so this version ain't so bad to be honest but I think if you like the minecraft series you should check this one out.

    The PS4 version of Minecraft feels like a subpar product when comparing it against the PC version. The controls were not redesigned for PS4. The current version does not support Realms after all these years. I love this game, but I rather play it on PC instead.

Deleted Minecraft THREE TIMES and had to wait THREE HOURS for the update file EACH TIME just so my Microsoft account would connect again.     On paper Minecraft is a novel idea, but in practice it is a brilliant platform to unleash your imagination one block at a time and the Playstation 4 edition, though not as complete as the PC version, still provides complex, engaging gameplay that will eat into hours upon hours of your free time if you aren't careful.

    Played Mincraft on PS4, not the biggest fan but honestly very diverse in its way, and it might grow on you if you the type that likes to just switch on the console and relax.

    Doesn't matter what platform, its an acquired taste.

    While it is outdated as all console versions of the game, it has greater adventure, and improvements from the later versions. It also holds a warm feeling of accomplishment after I have created something spectacular.

    i have played on minecraft now since it was available on the PSN STORE i find it is a very relaxed game and also very fun to play with others when i first started i loved the fact it gave you help to tell you the basic understanding of how to play and what to make and since then i have put my head to it and created some picturesque buildings and sculptures i find it very fun and addictive.

I would suggest that this game has a server option for many players to continue a world they have made with friends, when the server owner is unable to host the map.     Minecraft is a very relaxing game and fun game to play with friends. You can build almost anything in the game. The game can get boring, but you can change that by making a building, or making weapons, mining, or going to the nether. A great simple game everyone can play.

    Typical minecraft same as the computer almost, but it is frustrating to connect to otherworlds, and they made it so that you can't actually join a world, you have to download the map from the internet and then join it, seems like extra hassle.

    Played it (and my 6th year old son as well) on PSP Vita and computer.
    This one is as good as the others and lot of fun to play.

    Sure, the game's status has gone sour over the last couple of years. But, this is one of the most expansive and fun games I've ever played. Tons of content, simple yet effective style, and tons of creative ways to deal with building. Sure, the combat is not that good, but everything else is just fantastic.

    Gostei muito da jogabilidade , o jogo ficou ótimo e parece até que tem gráficos agora , o sistema combinou muito com o controle do PS4 , o jogo também é bem criativo , quem não tem um PC que rode isso , pode jogar nos consoles , Minecraft é um otimo jogo , e combinou muito bem com o PS4

    Multijugador entretenido.
    Las pocas cosas extra que puedes poner como skins son de pago y no puedes poner mods en el juego.

    Minecraft is a sandbox game that you have to learn to play. You can play in different modes such as peaceful, easy, normal, and hard. You can play by yourself or with a friend as well as online. I started playing Minecraft in 2014 when my family got a PS4. I have had experience with many different updates of this game.

    I came across Minecraft when I was 11 years old, when I was playing the lite version on a tablet. I decided to keep playing it because it looked fun and it wasn’t as difficult because it only had one mob, zombies. I continued to play this version until I was able to get the PS4 version. PS4 version gives you more mobs zombies, skeletons, witches, spiders. This has become my favorite video game and I will continue to play it throughout my life.

    Overall, my experience with Minecraft has been a positive one. I started from the lite version and now love the PS4 version. I would recommend this game to ages 10+ both boys and girls would like this game. There are books that you can use to teach you strategies to build and how to survive. If you love Minecraft so much you should go to the MineCon 2017 convention. The date is unknown for now but keep an eye out for it.    … Expand

    The online is fun to play and the people are awesome. You can build whatever whenever with whoever. Its as simple as that, fun and easy for everyone, it is that fun. The PC is a better version of course, that got a 10.

As in it all looks bad in regular mode or VR mode. After trying several different VR games the motion sickness has finally gone. Still with all that plastic and rubber on the head? Head overheat happens pretty quicky. Yeah even when using a massive floor fan to try and counter it. Maybe I need to use PS/VR in the winter or something?    … Expand

    Since Microsoft bought Mojang, this game is becoming worse and worse. I was a fan of Minecraft, but now, with the bedrock edition, they have changed some things badly, added enoying things, etc. You can't even pause the game in single player. Such a shame.

    The music is great! The creativity is great! everything is great! Except you don't get servers like Hypixel or etc to play on. But overall 8/10 and PC version is 8/10 because of the stupid combat update and command block update.
