Young gamers will probably be alienated by the extreme retro look and the high difficulty of these games, but they are precious pieces of gaming history that should be added in every retro-loving gamers collection.

An object lesson for how game compilations should be engineered, providing rock-solid adaptation to a new platform, respecting the material’s historic context, and exercising restraint.

Despite a few bugs and sound glitches, Mega Man Legacy Collection is an outstanding compilation of some of the best platform games in history.

A great starter kit history lesson for a beloved platforming franchise. Be warned that it is a very tough and often frustrating lesson, but that it does have its rewards.

Sort of a Megaman encyclopedia, even if it's missing some chapters, and a fundamental collection for any fan of the franchise. Obviously a great buy even for those gamers who are just searching for some good old challenge. Fans of the Zero series will unfortunately have to wait for another collection.

Six great classic games with a lot of extras make for an engaging package, though you should remember that all of these titles are extremely difficult.

Mega Man Legacy Collection is a great homage to the blue bomber beginnings. Although 15 € and six NES games may seem expensive, the save feature and challenges are worth its price.

Mega Man has its most authentic legacy yet with Mega Man Legacy Collection. This bundle contains six games for only 15 euros and delivers the real retro Mega Man experience with extras.

If you want to relive your memories as a kid or just want to see how Mega Man got his start, then Mega Man Legacy Collection is an easy recommendation.

It may not have as many games as the decade-old Mega Man Anniversary Collection, but Legacy Collection is a much better effort when it comes to overall presentation and ensuring that each game is reproduced as faithfully as possible.

All in all, the Mega Man Legacy Collection has just enough toss-ins and challenges to make it worthwhile, while not messing with the highly-successful formula that formed the foundation of this long-standing franchise.

The Mega Man Legacy Collection perfectly preserves six classic Mega Man games without any extensive changes or modifications from the developers. What changes it does bring are entirely optional and only serve to enhance the experience.

Mega Man Legacy Collection feels incomplete. It doesn’t feature any of the games that launched after the heyday of the NES era and even then brings them to modern systems with performance warts and all. Yet somehow with the six games it does bring to the table, it provides enough for fans to indulge in with challenges and archive artwork, while also bringing in new players with conveniences such as the save system.

Despite the rich selection of bonus material, Mega Man Legacy Collection still suffer of occasional frame-rate drops. Once again, we can suggest to buy this collection only to the old-school players and Mega Man aficionados.

A collection with the sex Mega Man games for NES made available for the latest consoles is a great deed. The restoration has been cautious and the games are thus unchanged, which unfortunately means that the the flaws that existed 20 years ago persist today, like choppy frame rate when too many enemies are on the screen. A nice new feature is the challenge mode, which is insanely addictive. However, it feels stingy to not get a bigger collection, given that previous collections contained clearly more titles.

A good retro collection that features the first Mega Man games with some extras.

Avoid the save states if you can - if your blood pressure can take it. [Nov 2015, p.80]

As retro compilations go this is very good, with pixel perfect emulation and some useful bonus features. But only existing fans will feel the games justify the effort.

Mega Man Legacy Collection is not the best compilation of classics released, but it’s definitely not the worst. Worth a download if you are a fan.

It is the original games from the original code, with the original bugs. Which means it also has the original exploits and codes. If your a true Megaman fan and want the game from back in the day on your new console, this is perfect for you.

Don't be fooled by the negative ratings. 5 of the 6 negative reviews come from the same 2 people. Apparently they bought it for the PS4, then went and bought it on the PS4. Then one of them bought it for the PC and surprisingly hated it there also. That's assuming they bought it at all.

Also the negative reviews fall into 3 areas, based on unrealistic expectations. Some wanted the 10 bit games. Which they knew weren't coming in this collection. But might come as a DLC if this does well. The other admitted there were small timing issues only a hardcore Megaman Savant would notice. And then there is the Mixed reviews that wanted the game to be updated for today's gamers. Which would be a waste of Capcom's time and resources. Since the original maker of Megaman made "Mighty #9" which is launching next month and is basically a modernized Megaman.

I own these games on NES and have played 3 of the 6 as recently as last week. This collection is as faithful of a recreation as I have come across for any game. Yes, you MAY POSSIBLY MIGHT notice some visual glitches and timing issues but 99.99% of you won't (I didn't and I am an AVID fan). One person stated that it doesn't come with a sound track or art work...which it 100% does...even old mockups and **** I've never seen before.

Further, it is $15 for 6 games. You can't buy them on NES for that. You can't buy MegaMan 2 on NES for double that in good condition.

10/10 would buy again and would have paid more for it.
