    I have played the entire mass effect trilogy before, but it was many years ago, and I remember them being very good.

    So a few hours into ME1 in the Legendary collection I'm quite dissapointed. The gameplay is very clunky, the level design feels very outdated, you're basically fighting the same few Geth enemies for the duration of the game and the AI is stupid. This is not at all what I    I have played the entire mass effect trilogy before, but it was many years ago, and I remember them being very good.

    So a few hours into ME1 in the Legendary collection I'm quite dissapointed. The gameplay is very clunky, the level design feels very outdated, you're basically fighting the same few Geth enemies for the duration of the game and the AI is stupid. This is not at all what I rememberd Mass Effect to be like. So I completed ME1 and played a few hours of ME2 and that is what my memory of Mass Effect is like. ME2 and ME3 is just on a whole different level compared to ME1. The visuals are a big step up, the gameplay is A LOT better, the story is better, the AI is better. ME1 is basically a whole different game and I had just forgotten how old and dated it is.

    My complaint is that the game has performance issues with very obvious frame drops every now and then. I'm playing this on a PS5 and had expected much better performance. I'm not sure if the problem lies with the game though, or if the PS5 backwards compatibility isn't very good.

    I know a lot of people complained about ME Andromeda. Sure it had technical issues. But people were complaining about everything from facial animations to gameplay. Let me tell you this. The facial animations in the original games isn't good. They are down right creepy with staring eyes a lot of the time. They often lack emotion. People simply doesn't remember. As for gameplay, the original games are very dated by modern standards and Andromeda is far superior in that level.

    Overall, the Legendary edition is the best way to experience Mass Effect, whether you've played the series before or not. Just know that you can't escape the fact that the games does feel dated.    … Expand

    Bioware and EA delivered what was promised - the graphics, mechanic and combat improvements are all very pleasing in the remaster version. Thank you for the opportunity for living the legend of Shepard one more time. Absolutely worth it.

En su día pensaba que este juego era de 9 hoy le pongo la misma nota porque es una reedición si bien buena no es perfecta, no se hasta que punto se podía haber mejorado más pero tampoco noto unas diferencias que me hagan volverme loco y la falta de doblaje sigue molestándome mucho.     Bioware did an excellent job remastering an excellent trilogy and bringing it to the current generation of consoles. This is a masterpiece and if you haven't played it already you are in for a treat.

    It is not a perfect remaster, but a much appreciated one! The original game was pretty rough to play so it was nice to see the much needed touch ups. The trilogy is not perfect overall, but I believe this was needed to remind gamers just how epic video games can be and how immersive the worlds and storytelling should be. I love this trilogy and hope Bioware can remember the craft and loveIt is not a perfect remaster, but a much appreciated one! The cinematic lighting of mass effect 1 has been butchered by them adding a floodlight into most scenes and in some scenes they have even removed the original lighting. not only does this ruin the original feel of the game, it results in cardinal sins suchWARNING.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I played all the games back in 2007-2012 and even named my daughter that was born 2011 Tali. That is how much I loved Mass Effect after having spent hundred of hours in ME and ME2. Then came ME3 and it sucked so hard that I did not touch the games at all again until now with the legendary edition.

    So how different do I think the game(s) feel now almost ten years later? Well, ME and ME2 are still good games and even still great from a story perspective but ME3 is still there to ruin the entire experience. Yes, there is a huge numbers of DLC included and they are supposed to make the last entry of this series more palatable than it was when I finished it back in 2012. But ME3 is still the retarded sibling to the great ME and the perhaps even greater ME2.

    ME3 lacks dialog choices and I feel like I am watching a movie with some exciting moments in it but my Shepard is more or less railroaded and does not feel like my Shepard at all in ME3, it feels like he just became a shadow or and imposter of my Shepard that I played through ME and ME2. This makes the game very disappointing despite the improvements to the combat mechanic that now with the Legendary edition is actually ok even in the first ME.

    The story that started out as a space opera that was all about hope and victory against impossible odds, not unlike the original Star Wars trilogy, sadly turns into an artsy fartsy attempt at being edgy in the last installment. ME3 is a very beautiful shell but a shell nonetheless and a very empty shell once opened at that. The ending of the different story lines is deeply unsatisfactory and the ending(s) of the ME3 and the entire saga is just as bad now as it was almost ten years ago, I would dare say it is even worse now as it feels so bad despite me being older and not as emotional as I was when I was younger.

    So my recommendation to all players that love the ME-universe is this, play the first two installments and consider Shepard’s and his crew and love interest story finished after ME2. By killing sovereign and destroying the collector base you made the reaper invasion impossible and you stopped the cycle and Shepard and his friends can take a well deserved vacation and Shepard and his love interest can live happily ever after. Because what is so wrong with a happy ending? There is too much sadness and doom and gloom in the world right now and even back in 2012 and I still feel that Shepard and the players that loves or loved this franchise deserved to be able to get a happy ending to the epic story but instead we got the equivalent to Luke Skywalker committing suicide by flinging himself down the reactor pit instead of fighting the impossible odds and defeating the Empire.

    I know that games and stories where the main protagonists ends up winning is not “modern” but I still really believe that one of the colored endings should have given just that.

    ME1 10 points and ME2 10 points but the disappointment that is ME3 really sours the entire dish as the landing of the entire trilogy actually matters a lot, it is not all about the journey because the destination is also important. And this journey felt like flying first class just to crash land in taliban controlled parts of Afghanistan. So I cannot in good conscience give this package more than 5 because of the terrible last installment and the even worse ending to what could have been the best sci fi and space opera experience of the **** century.    … Expand

(I've played 1&2 before way back in college but NEVER 3 so I moved on to 2). So shut my Fn mouth. This is a great collection- that includes ME2- my 2ndBioware has come through for fans with this Legendary Edition of the best video game trilogy of all time.     Mass Effect 1 Legendary Edition

    This is the first time I’ve played the full game of ME1 in 2021- but I’ve played #2 & 3 many times in the past. I liked #1 quite a bit, although it’s a bit short. There’s only a few main missions. It definitely adds to the Mass Effect story. There’s a bit too much time in the Mako, and too many elevators. The gameplay is much improved to be close to #2 & #3. The graphics are better- except human’s faces in cutscenes. Overall I liked it pretty well- it was better than I thought. I will play it again the next time I want to experience the Mass Effect world.

    Mass Effect 2 Legendary Edition

    Simply put- ME2 is one of the best games of all time! In my top 5. Shepard is at her best in this one. It’s great building your crew and going on loyalty missions for them. There’s such a wide variety of missions- never gets boring. It’s a great action rpg. There are great boss fights- but the worst enemies for me are those darn husks! It builds up to a great ending mission- although it stinks losing some of your crew. The 4k graphics look great- especially in several face models like Thane. It builds well off of ME1 and leads well to ME3. It’s the best in the series by far- but you should play all 3 games to truly experience the ME world. I’ve played this many, many times- and I highly recommend!

    Mass Effect 3 Legendary Edition

    ME3 ends the trilogy on a good note. Although I like ME2 better, there’s a lot going for #3. It has more action than the other two games. It also has many improvements- such as graphics, gameplay, and little elements like being able to use the omnitool to bypass doors, jumping across gaps, etc. Bioware was at its height of game making with this one. I must say the characters in #2 were much better except for Liara. Most people don’t like the ending, but I don’t mind it- especially with the extended cut. This rounds out the Legendary Edition well- and it’s a must to play all three games.    … Expand

    I am just 10 hours into the game (ME1), but I can already see this becoming my favourite game. I never played the original, so this remaster is a great way for me to get into the ME series. I was afraid that the game would feel dated, but that wasn't the case at all.     So far I've finished the first Mass Effect on PS5 knowing that it had the most improvements. I've really enjoyed my time. I'm fairly new to Mass Effect and wasn't at all interested in it. But the legendary edition has given me a chance to play these games in their "best" state. I knew coming in that the first game was going to be a bit dated so I was prepared for any problems that I maySo far I've finished the first Mass Effect on PS5 knowing that it had the most improvements. I've really enjoyed my time. I'm fairly new to Mass Effect and wasn't at all interested in it. But the legendary edition has given me a chance to play these games in their "best" state. I knew coming in that the first game was going to be a bit dated so I was prepared for any problems that I may have, and there were a few dealing with the rover thing(I don't remember the actual name). And some minor audio bugs. But other than that it was good. So if I only encountered those minor things In arguably the game that need the most improvements I would assume the next two installment would at least maintain if not improve on the predecessor. The graphics do look fine, gameplay was good considering the date it came out and overall I've had a blast finally getting to play these games. I recommend this to veterans of the franchise and newcomers. It is well worth the $60 price tag with plenty of content to go around that will last you hours I'd almost consider this a steal. I believe most people would be pleased if you give this a deserving chance.

    I remembered that Mass Effect-trilogy was the greatest game-trilogy ever made. It still is!
    Now it is even better. Graphics and physics (Mako) in the ME1 are so much better and ME2 and ME3 are also a bit better. I can live with censored butt scenes although i don't quite understand why.
    Why don't they make games like Mass Effect-trilogy anymore?

    The main selling point of the franchise is the many improvements made to the outdated Mass Effect 1. Now, are these changes drastic? Yes. Is the combat better than 2 and 3? Hell no.

    Adding on the absurd amount of achievements that can be reached, (for large pools of points) this collection is amazing for returning fans, and new ones alike.

    Even if you've recently played the games, it's still worth the $50-$60USD for the many improvements.

    This is how a remaster should be made, and other companies ought to be ashamed for full priced remasters months after the game's release. You know who I'm talking about.    … Expand

    I'm from Belgium and the game does not have Dutch voice acting with Flemisch subtitles. And the subtitles are in white and I want them in light green. How dare you, bioware ! The gaming market in Belgium is one of the largest of the Benelux. Shame on you ! Oh, and otherwise.... great game :-)

    Excellent remaster, if you're a fan of the original releases then you will love this entry. ME1 changes are amazing and paired with all the DLC you are getting over 100 hours of content in one package. All in 4k/60FPS if using a next-gen console. Amazing!

    The graphics are ****, and the character faces haven't even been updated, sure, it looks far better than the version made in 2007, but it still looks like a game made in 2010

    Three of the greatest games ever made and the greatest video game trilogy out there.
    The first game has seen numerous improvements. Graphically it's been improved quite a bit and the combat is now much smoother. There are a few bugs but nothing game breaking. I will also point out that some of the facial retexture's look a little off but only in rare cases.

    How do you do a remake? This is how! The greatest Saga in gaming history finally made its way to 4k and 60fps! I'm really impressed with how Bioware upgraded Mass effect 1-3 and made much needed improvements to an already legendary series. I loved mass effect in 2008 and love it even more now. A must buy for any gamer.

    Loved the original trilogy and this remaster has tweaked the game to feel more modern and the combat in Mass Effect 1 has been improved greatly! The guns have more punch and sound excellent now! The sniper rifle is actually usable! They added a little sprint mechanic when not in combat now (THANK YOU)! This is a must have if you loved any of the games in the trilogy.

    There is no subtitle in Portuguese, so for me it deserves this low grade. And in the middle of 2021 this is unacceptable! Brazil is one of the biggest consumers of games and we deserve respect!

    I haven't played the entire series in over six years, I'm 15 hours in my first playthrough of ME:1 and I can't say how amazing the changes they made are. Where I first had to rush through the game because of clunky controls and boring fights, I find myself enjoying it greatly and even exploring all the planets.     There are issues, though, like combat from ME:3 brought to 1 & 2 would have made this way more spectacular but I understand it would have been hard to do for a remaster. And, of course, relationship being gender locked will always annoy me, but it is what it is.

    If you're a fan, it's an amazing way to replay the games. If you're a new player, it's the only way you should experience this trilogy.    … Expand

    One of the best trilogies in gaming. Don't let Mass Effect 3's ending controversy stop you from buying it. The journey throughout this trilogy is excellent and has cemented itself as my favorite gaming series of all time. The only downside is the lack of multiplayer which was the most fun I've had in the whole series, the rest of the games are still fun though.

    The remaster i have been waiting years for did not disappoint. Metacritic should do something about the Russian trolls giving this game 1 star over some dubbing that 99% players won't care about..

    There is no normal language selection option! Add the ability to separately select voiceovers and subtitles. For example, English voice + Russian subtitles.
    In Russian localization HORRIBLE voice acting !!! Why add voiceovers to one game without giving it all? This is stupid.

    Hats off to BioWare on this one, it's one of the best remastered games I played. Top notch graphics, the gameplay feels great and not dated at all. This game blows never games out of the water and has the best story out of any game.     Simplemente debes jugar esta recopilación. Ademas de mejorar enormemente la calidad del primer mass effect, también han mejorado pequeños detalles de la 2da y 3ra entrega. ¿Te gustan las buenas historias con personajes carismáticos y la toma de decisiones? entonces este es tu tipo de juego. Lo jugué en una ps4 slim y no tuve problemas. Me hubiese gustado que diesen la posibilidad de tenerSimplemente debes jugar esta recopilación. Первая часть была интересной, я даже квесты не выпослял а просто исследовал галактику. Во 2 и 3 Mass Effectне на то время не получилось поиграть из-за отсутствия мощного компьютера того времени. В начале 2014 года сгорает старый компьютер и покупается новый и я тут же иду скачивать последний Принц Персии Забытые пески и 2 и 3 Mass Effect. Проходил я на ультра настройках графики (60 FPS), на высоких сложностях. Третью часть проходил 3 раза. Один раз как спидраннер, второй и третий полностью на 100%. Потом я второй сыграл, тоже идеальная и первую часть перепрошёл на ультра настройках (60 FPS). Мультиплеер третьего Mass Effect идеален и игроки которые в него досихпор играли даже после выхода Андромеды это подтвердят. Выходит Андромеда - и это ужас. Оптимизация: ужасная. Mass Effect 3 у меня на ультрах (60 FPS) шёл, в Андромеде жестокие фризы. Андромеда - она недостойна чтобы её даже и с торрентов скачивали. И сейчас вышел ремастер всей трилогии в 4К 60Fps. Я заявляю что перепройду всю игру с большим удовольствием. Ну и в мультиплеер пойду.… Expand

    This is a Mass Effect fan’s dream. I played through the original trilogy years ago, so I wanted to play through it all again.
    The improvements made to ME1 are night and day, made what was an already enjoyable experience even better. Itching to play ME2 once I platinum ME1!

    ME1: RUSSIAN VO IS GARBAGE. No option "English voice + Russian sub". I'm big fan of ME series, but I'm ashamed to play that game.
    ME2&ME3: all OK, but the trilogy GAME IS TOTALLY UNPLAYABLE without ME1.

It still runs in Unreal Engine 3 and not 4 like Andromeda but I think that’s for the best as Character models in that engine looked oddly clay-like. Line with ME2 and 3 but still comes across as different enough that the game still seems substantially different in the gameplay department. There may be technical limitations with this but it doesn’t make the game unplayable. Actually ME1’s improvements make it much more approachable. many years ago I rushed my way through ME1 after playing ME2 for the story, leaving most side missions and dlc untouched simply because the game was not as enjoyable to play as ME2. The gameplay is far more enjoyable and less clunky lot and with this remastered I find myself surveying all the planets, doing all the side missions and dlc as the experience os not as frustrating even though gameplay remains quite dissimilar from ME2 and ME3. In this regard I can see how BioWare succeeded , this was never meant to be a remake or a reimagining of Mass Effect it was to make the entire series as a whole
    More cohesive graphically , artistically, and even in regards to the story, ME1 no longer feels like the black sheep of the bunch but part of an exciting trilogy that will lure folks like me who just played ME1 “because they had to to get the ending they wanted in ME3” with its better pacing, leveling system
    and gunplay. There is much less to be said about ME2 and 3 remasters, they look amazing, they were not bad looking games and aged better than ME1, that said the 4K textures are still impressive as well and some stylistic changes here and there round out the changes. All in all it’s a solid package for $59.99. Judging this as a remaster I give it a 9/10, it fails to get a perfect score because of a game breaking bug on Luna, where if your biotic power accidentally hits a closed door in the final facility Shepard will not be able to interact with anything until the game is relaunched. If BioWare fixes this in a coming update I will revisit my review.    … Expand

    Thank you for making the game unplayable for Russian and Polish gamers. Either patch-in the option to change voicover language without affecting subs or don't bother even selling it in our countries.

    It is impossible to highly appreciate a game in which there is no elementary function of a separate choice of voice acting language and interface language. BioWare, add this to the game, stop bullying players in Russia. accidentally wrote this review under the version for x-box, but that's okay, the guys have the same problem there)

    Its a shame nowdays to not give players a possibility to select VO and subtitles separately. In my case only ME1 has russian VO. This VO is disgusting! And I don't have an option to change it to english VO and leave russian subs!

And unfortunatly there been alot of tampering here.     MA 1 was an RPG, now is a generic shooter. I played all 3 game right before this remaster was released and just limethe Sillent Hill HD collection, changes have been made that effect , mood, context, even some conversations have been messed with.    … Expand

I've played the whole series before and the controls for the first one were weird or feel off and that was improved in this version but it still feels off but not as much as before. Dlc is missing but it's not one that'll you'll miss. A certain part was changed and made me go back and load it up again on my PC and made me think "really? You guys don't have the budget to add a better ending or put the missing dlc but you can censor or change the camera angle because of the times?" And it went a little downhill from there. I know the next Mass effect will be less spicy to "protect" themselves from fake backlash. The game is not much of a improvement but it's good enough until you realize they'll change things. I won't support changing to shield yourself from problems but FF7 remake I'll accept due to not failing me before. Time will tell if future mass effects will be anywhere close to 1-3 or be a huge mess and almost ending the series hype and faith. Overall just play this on PC the original and run on the highest settings with a few mods to improve it and you'll get the same thing or better. I know I'm being harsh but I was expecting the original just upped and with a tiny hope of a different ending or add on like Persona 4 golden but guess I'll move on. If you truly want it buy it if not read more reviews and make up your mind from those. The times change but the way games stories are made shouldn't.… Expand

    as únicas coisas que me fez não dar 10 foi pela falta de legendas em ptbr, oque eu achei uma grande falta de respeito da EA, e a falta de melhorias no mass effect 2 como fizeram no 1, mais sem ser isso o remasterizado é épico

    Simply amazing. Even being able to play on PS would start the rating from 7, Bioware has delivered a great visual jump as well as decent gameplay.

    Mass Effect: Legendary Edition offers the comprehensive experience that the whole trilogy rightfully deserves. Thanks to this, you can easily forgive it all sorts of small ailments associated with the age of individual parts and you drown dozens of unforgettable hours in the game without blinking an eye. Yes, even after such a long time.

    The Mass Effect Trilogy is incredible. The overarching story and its characters are excellent, and each one was better than the last. I wasn’t sure if these games would hold up in the current environment, but they absolutely do. They’re still worth playing, I recommend them, and to anyone about to jump in — play at a slower pace. Do not rush through. Explore everything they have to offer and relish in their richness.
