    I did not play this game at release so by the time I played the majority of the glitches and issues had been resolved. I like the story and characters. The ability to jump added new mobility to combat and the more open world feel of the planets was also refreshing. While ME2 is still my favorite, this was a solid and fun addition in my book I know we won't get a a sequel to this but II did not play this game at release so by the time I played the majority of the glitches and issues had been resolved.     Probably the best example of the genre, the Mass Effect games were a grand space opera that nigh on perfectly blended shooting, RPG style exploration and story telling.     Me ha gustado el juego, lo evite por mucho tiempo ya que estaba decepcionado que no se continuara con shepard, sin embargo esta entretenida merece una oportunidad y algunas cosas que mejorar para una nueva generación de consolas.

    It just needs some polish. The combat is amazing and the story is engaging. And there is a lot of content. I put in over 50 hours and I am still not done with the main story. There are some bugs but nothing that is game stopping. Well worth the bargain price it is now for a fun few hours

    I was hyped for this game cause i loved Mass Effect 3 which was the first part i played, but i played it so much, especially the multiplayer. In my opinion the best coop wave defend like game i ever played. And that is the main reason why Andromeda didnt had the same success imo. I cant really explain why but it didn't was the same anymore. The game constantly felt a bit laggy and the mapsI was hyped for this game cause i loved Mass Effect 3 which was the first part i played, but i played it so much, especially the multiplayer.     Picked up this game 5 years after release and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the graphics have held up. Yes, some of the facial animation issues are well documented but for me it doesn't get in the way of the gameplay. Honestly, I think the game would have done much better if it didn't have the name Mass Effect in its title. It is entirely possible for 2 different games to exist in the same universe. Just look at Apex Legends and Titanfall and I'm sure there are other examples out there. This is how I look at the Mass Effect original trilogy and Andromeda, 2 different games with different protagonist and different enemies coexisting in the same universe. If you play Andromeda before you play the original trilogy you will probably enjoy Andromeda more because you will go into it more open minded. As per the gameplay... Andromeda is what it would look like if Mass Effect and Dragon Age had a baby. If you played both those games, then Andromeda will be very familiar to you. There's so much to do that you probably won't beat the game in a week, it's possible if you just stick to the main storyline but there're a lot of side missions to keep you busy for a while. The online multiplayer community is still pretty active, up to a squad of 4 PvE. With all the characters and weapons, you can unlock you will be busy for a while as well. Multiplayer is connected to the single player campaign as there are some multiplayer missions if completed successfully will reward you with stuff that you can use in the single player campaign. Currently there are no DLCs for this game but I'm hoping one day BioWare with bless us with one or two.… Expand

    Maby it's because I only play open world games because I love them, but this game is so detailed and there is so much to do. Of course this game is not totally perfect,but btw I don't know any game that is perfect. The quests are interesting.     I didn’t play this at launch but my understanding is that it was pretty painful. With the launch of the legendary edition I decided to play through all the games including this one. I will say while not perfect it has a lot of major improvements over the trilogy. The overall combat mechanics are incredible. The overall combat mechanics are incredible. Combat is fast paced, responsive and highly customizable thanks to the new SAM profiles. Weapons can be crafted and modded letting combat really be whatever you want. The characters were great and some of the most engaging dialogue took place in the Nomad based on who you paired up. Some combinations like Liam and Vetra hated each other at first only to actually find a place of mutual respect as you continued to pair them together. Each character has unique attributes so playing with combinations always felt fresh and fun. Then there’s the Ryders. Bye bye rigid morality system. The new choice based system made feeling keyed into the choices so much easier. Some you felt the impact of in this game others will (hopefully) come down the line. It was nice to be able to approach situations more freely than simply good choice or bad choice. Ryder themselves was engaging and really had some incredible character development. The voice work was well nuanced (even if maybe the animation wasn’t) and your character’s confidence and skills grew as the game progressed. Now without any spoilers here, the story was awesome! Yes it’s way more open world than the prior entries but it’s meant to be. This is an unestablished galaxy for the Milky Way species and as such you have to form bonds of friendship and cooperation. There are a number of smaller challenges all over the locations to be solved as well as the main conflict. Speaking of, wow; talk about some big plot twists. All in all I found this to be an extremely enjoyable entry and look forward to hopefully getting a sequel as there were many many open plot lines. The future of the franchise is Andromeda.… Expand

    Long version:

    This is my favorite mass effect game. It has the character customization and exploration of ME and ME3, the tight levels of ME 2 and ME3, the multiplayer of ME3 and it's Mass Effect through and through.

    You get to make choices that impact the game and the narrative.

    I found it lack some polish. I don't like falling through the ground in the Tempest or on planets, I don't think the facial animations are great, and the game is a bit on the long side - over 80 hours for me trying to do everything.

    But in the end, I have fun. It's a good RPG customization of weapons and builds. You can level up all your squad mates to the max and you can make yourself into an unstoppable killing machine.

    The puzzles are fun if you like Sudoku - I do. If you don't, you can buy key fragments to get around them.

    The multiplayer is fast-paced and fun and there is no "team deathmatch" or "battle royale" mode - thank God!

    In the end, I recommend this game to any Mass Effect fan. it is the best of the series by far. I actually cannot believe this game gets 3/10 or 0/10 by some people. It's not a perfect game, but it does so much right that I think 8/10 is fair.

    I picked this game up in 2021 and I really enjoyed it. Come to Andromeda and explore, adventure awaits.    … Expand

    A lot has been extensively covered, so I'll make it really short. This is what I liked about MA: Andromeda:

    - The beautiful environment. I mean, the worlds are truly breathtaking.
    - The RPG system - it is a roleplay game, with many impactful choices to be made. And you see a great change in every single world you discover and progress through.
    - The gameplay is really nice and skilltree extensive; I love that you can customise your own playstyle and it's fun to blast through enemy lines.
    - Questing is fun and none of the quests felt repetitive or boring
    - The characters, including their loyalty missions, are epic. Some more so than others, but overall I had a great time with them and their interactions between each other.
    - The voiceovers are excellent
    - The story was compelling from start to finish, with some goosebump moments. Unfortunately many questions were left unanswered because they decided to abandon MA: Andromeda for Anthem (lol).

    I mean...what do you want more from an RPG? It's pure entertainment, with a solid story and characters. I enjoyed it just as much as playing through DA: Inquisition (if we leave out the DLC).
    The facial animations might have been a mess on launch, but they are decent now. Some cutscenes might still be a wonky, but the majority was fine. I didn't encounter any visual bugs or gamebreaking bugs whatsoever at this point.

    Sure, it's not a Witcher 3 or Red Dead Redemption 2, but it's still very worth playing - especially now. If you like RPGs and science fiction, it's a must to check out.    … Expand

    Strange, but this is the best space game at the moment. Combat system, graphics, planetary exploration, music. Development problems knocked Andromeda down and affected the animation. Cut the game in half and you have a very good RPG.

If you like open world games with lots of stuff to do side quests exploring upgrading character lots of customization even romances give that game a chance and buy it you won't regret it.     Very much enjoyed the game. I didn't play it or patched so I can't speak to how it started out but the combat is best in the series and I played it and 3 times and enjoyed it every single time

    Once I got into it I really enjoyed the game play and the progression. There are quite a few bugs and parts That seem kind of not fully fleshed-out but overall I enjoyed it quite a bit.

    Great game if not for the heavy bugs and game breaking glitches that EA won’t fix. Music is great along with characters. EA made a good game and I hope we get a sequel that joins milky way and andromeda’s galaxy. The Kett should also be a focus in the next one.

A somewhat underrated and unfairly maligned game, it’s not quite up to par with the ME trilogy, no could it or should it be; those games setup and concluded a story with all the familiarity that comes with, so if you’re looking for more Shepard, Reapers and Galaxy in peril, this ain’t it. Its more Star Wars than Empire Strikes back for better and worse.

    This is a new story with a new protagonist and a new galaxy so you’ll need to get reacquainted.

    It has its issues: The story takes a while to get underway and can be a bit uneven/awkward for the first couple of hours, however it gets a lot better

    Character expressions are understated and tend towards the bland with a few exceptions, - but nowhere near as egregious as initially reported

    Dialogue leans towards painfully cringeworthy but evolves towards pretty amusing and often brilliant as the game goes on

    Not enough new races - the new denizens of the galaxy feel a tad familiar but there are some cool twists here n there.

    Like it’s predecessors (with the exception of ME2) side quests range from dull fetch quests and awful missions to the occasional ingenious moment, no real changes there.
    Cinematics are few and far between replaced with a sort of 3rd person convo framing, not really up to ME standards Choices/morality are ok, not spectacular but no awful - on a par with ME1/3 - the changes are interesting but could do with more development

    There are still some bugs in the game that can be distracting but won’t break immersion all that much.

    Some questionable design issues - the mission marker can’t differentiate between floors leading to a bit of milling about initially

    The storyline is serviceable and indeed enjoyable though with the same weaknesses/contrivances as ME3, it won’t revolutionise story telling but let’s be honest ME plots haven’t been all that since Drew Karpyshin left the game and BioWare.

    Where this game shines for me is combat, atmosphere and exploration, exceptionally, polished, well integrated and addictive;

    The music isn’t perhaps as memorable as ME1 or 2 but it’s cleverly understated and tends to get under the skin, on a number of occasions I found my heart pounding in fairly regular combat due to the way it’s handled, filters rising as you near the combat zone, and because of the lack of bombast you feel rather than hear it, brilliant stuff!

    The combat and profiles system is utterly brilliant! Real blast, slick and exciting throughout with a brilliant sense of verticality, the AI can be a bit dodgy but it’s an exception rather than a rule

    Exploration is a blast and very attractive, it goes a long way to make a lot of dull side quests worth doing. The Nomad and scanning (omnitool) are really welcome additions as is the welcome return of expanded skill trees, though a bit of balancing would make them more of a risk/reward rather than a no downfall feature, especially in the endgame.

    All in all, it’s not even the best ME game, but it steps towards the right direction for the franchise, enhancing and improving upon shoddy first iterations (Mako, ME2 skills) and certainly improves upon ME3 which I found to be a mix of huge set pieces that were great peppered with some godawful side quests, infuriating melodrama and mind bogglingly boring side quests. It’s not a war game but an exploration game with insanely good combat mechanics and fascinating exploration that’ll have you coming back for more.
    I can see flashes of brilliance throughout the game despite the blemishes and I get wistful about what might have been, they did well to get it this good all things considered and it is a very enjoyable game. This coming from a big fan of ME1 and ME2, NOT ME3 7.5-8/10    … Expand

    In 2017, I played 5 hours of this game and this was over. In 2020, I'm having on of my best time on it. Thé gameplay is fun, the scenario and the characters are quite simpathic. It isn't perfect, but mass effect 3 wasn't eather. Give it a 2nd chance, you'll may be surprised.

Единственное что в игре реально ужасно это дополнительные активности "побегай по карте-собери ерунду" и постоянно заново появляющиеся враги. Но сюжет и геймплей легко это всё компенсируют. Очень надеюсь что в продолжении дадут ответ многим вопросам.Так же хочу сказать хейтерам игры что mass effect это Шепард.Игра конечно не 10,но что бы хоть как то помочь очень хорошей игре ставлю 10. The game play is fun, the leveling system is amazing probably the best in the entire series, and the story isn't terrible. These people complaining about the game are more complaining that its not commander shep and the original crew. The graphics were the only b big issue.     Andromeda is truly underrated. We are given 1st ever scenarios such as 1st contact situations and as well as colonizing new worlds! Ryder is a new unestablished character that we put our mark in.     OK. So this game is by no means perfect but I'm about 75 hours in and I am greatly enjoying it. Combat is challenging but rewarding and satisfying, progression is well paced and the number of activities and side missions are varied and interesting. There's a few minor bugs left here or there but nothing that has caused me to be overly peeved. A lot of fun.

Combat is challenging but rewarding and satisfying, progression is well paced and the number of activities and side missions are varied and interesting. There's a few minor bugs left here or there but nothing that has caused me to be overly peeved. A lot of fun.

    I can say that I really enjoyed the experience. Before buying the game, I was worried due to some negative comments. But when I got to play Andromeda, I racked up to 150+ hours of gameplay. Combat is great, story is just fine, some characters could be vastly improved. But all things considered, Mass Effect Andromeda isn't half as bad as prople make it sound. I really recommend.

    This game is not that bad, when you allow the game to be how it want to be, a new universe, new heroes and a new crew. but the Mass Effect feeling is still there and the story is fine. You could do a lot more in this galaxy but for THIS game it was a nice run. played it through twice, I liked it! Cannot compete with 1-3 though.

    Playing this game in 2020 due to lockdown and lack of games to play, after reading all the negativity about the game I went into it with very low expectations, and to my surprise I enjoyed very second of it. Graphics were stunning for a 2017 game, glad. I gave the game a chance I recommend you do to.

    A pretty great game with fun gameplay. I like the choice system and that it does actually effect the outcome... sure in minor ways, but it's enough that my choices feel like they matter. Sure, not as great as the original trilogy, but if viewed as a standalone, definitely worth playing.

    The gun play is smooth. I really enjoyed all the weapons and how they felt, also the customizations are not bad. After all I think the game even is too big and gets pretty repetitive at some point which made me focus back on the main story. Still main mission and bits of sidetracking made me go for around 21hrs and they were enjoyable. Artwork is good and the cutscenes are fine with some minor issues here and there.

    For 5 bucks I think this was absolutely worth the try despite all the bad critics. I really enjoyed the game as a sci fi fan.    … Expand

    Ah cmon! It's a very good game. It's huge, lots of content, fun stuff to do. The idea behind the story is great, but the script is meh. It's not as scientifical (or well written) like others ME, but it's a great game nevertheless. There's a lot of bugs, a LOT. But nothing that really bothered me. Buy it on sale and give it a run. It will grow on you. (I did not play the Multiplayer game)

    I have played all mass effect games and Andromeda is still i great game, with new characters and story.
    Give it a try, if you loved the other mass effect games you will at least like this one if not more. IMO it's better than mass effect 1

    After some years I found it at 6€ and gave it another chance...
    Yesterday I ended my journey through Andromeda with 90 hrs and a little tear dropped from my eyes...
    The story, exploration, battling, interactions and decisions are fantastic...I know it cause I remember most of the npcs I talked to, all the planets lore, I miss the Voled snow or walking in dreaming Aya...

The combat gameplay was hard to get used at first (Bioware should stop to try to use this prime-detonator gameplay, it only works well on a turn based or co-op gameplay), but once I found a style that I enjoyed (vanguard with that shield reflecting shots matched with stealth asari sword kills and superhero melee landings) it fealt good! The sidequests are unexciting and only there for level up, if I knewn that I would have skipped them all together and focused on the priority and relationship ones. Finally, nomad is a great plus, with useful upgrades worth pursuing it. All and all, I hope to see a sequence for Andromeda!… Expand

I believe this game needs it's part 2 and 3 also to expand the story etc...

Planets are really lovely, graphics and art direction is top (except face animation), characters are not comparable to ME1-2, but there're some fun to, especially Drack is very interesting - from his main story to his comments through the game. And during completing the main quest I realized that the plot is pretty OK, many questins, but the one who wrote it definitely knows the game and loves what his doing. This game is more like an introduction to the new galaxy, not super rich story. And again - it is super beautiful space exploration. Also in the end of the game I really loved the combat system, it's really god after you try to understand it. Actually EA release tehre new title Anthem especially on the Andromeda combat system.
    PS. Of course it's not comparable to the ME1-2, but they really did a great job, stop trying compare this games, just replay entire trilogy if you want "old good ME" :)    … Expand

Thus, I take my hat off to Bioware/EA and raise this game's grade to 9 instead of 8.

    Bottom line: The current build is playable. Though I feel sorry for those who paid full price on release, I think that if you're into Sci-Fi like Star Wars and stuff and really like core RPGs, as it's not hard to find this game on sale, this is a must buy.

    DISCLAIMER: The text above is very biased both negatively (1) and positively (2). (1): the author followed the overwhelmingly negative reception for this game at launch, this certainly influenced his experience with this game. (2): this game is literally like a dream come true for the author.     The only REAL problem with this game is that it's not the OG trilogy and not DA O, The game is really good when you are not comparing it to these game and has one of the best squads Bioware ever created! Also, we get a way better Family dynamic than the rest of their games. Not to mention it's also one hell off a looker.

    Lo mejor de todo par mí es la historia y los personajes, hay muchísimos diálogos, que incluyen tomas de decisiones que repercuten, en mayor o menor medida, en la historia.
    Los gráficos están muy bien, los planetas son absolutamente preciosos y da gusto explorarlos enteros, son bastante grandes y repletos de misiones.

If you can look past the cheesy animations and at times poor writing and dialogue, there is a beautiful story with engaging characters to be found. The game is extremely detailed - you can learn a lot of things by reading journals and manuals, talking to locals, your crew members and other travelers. So you can get your head in the game.
    The only more detailed game I played is Witcher 3. But it was too detailed, to such an extent that I was even bored at the end, trying to read everything and talk to everyone.
    Andromeda really made me feel like I was exploring a different galaxy. And this is important. It is an atmospheric game - the most valuable game quality for me.
    What strikes me about this game is that there is such a big amount of unreasoned negative reviews. How such a wonderful game may deserve 2-3? Impossible. Even if you don't like the story as much as I do, still it can't be less than 5-6. Developers definitely worked hard to make this game as good as it is. True, it is not as polished as it could be. But still, it is a decent game with many strengths. And like any other game, it has it's weaknesses. It doesn't seem like such a big deal, though.    … Expand

    I got this game just recently off of a PSN sale, and went in with a cautious attitude, expecting all of the negatives from past reviews I read to come true. They didn't. Now, to be fair, the game has been updated and had bug fixes so my experience may differ greatly from others who bought the game on release or in its first year. It is safe to say the game is in a better place and in my humble opinion, extremely fun, with a big galaxy to explore in single player along with a robust co-op multiplayer.

    What I hate:
    .AI companions are for the most part left to their own devices with you only being able to tell them where to go during firefights.
    .Sometimes the characters hair look so terrible, as well as the textures for them.
    .No PVP in multiplayer.
    .Lack of new aliens.
    .No Paragon or Renegade options (I think, have to go further)

    What I love:
    .BIG UNIVERSE!
    .Fun combat.
    .Awesome Multiplayer that anyone with a love for co-op survival/hero shooters sort of games will enjoy.
    .Great story so far
    .The Nomad vehicle is FUN.
    .Customizing your characters, vehicle and weapons.
    .Fun cast of characters.
    .You do not have to pay for anything with real money in multiplayer now. You want something? Play the co-op and make those credits.

    I would recommend this to anyone with a love for Open World games, exploration, third person shooters or a love for sci-fi. It really gets to much hate, game is fun!    … Expand

Combat, skill system, exploration, driving, crafting and quantity of the content is save this game. It's a good game, but sometimes not on that way what expected from a BioWare/Mass Effect game.     I have been a fan of mass effect since day one, and although this is my least favorite in the serious, this game has been given a lot of slack, some deserved, most not.     I’ve gotta say I don’t understand the tearing down this game got. Technical issues aside, mostly fixed now anyway, this is a fun game.
    The graphics are great, as is the music and sound, select parts of the dialogue are poor but mostly good.
    I can definitely recommend this game.

    I've not played the original Mass Effect trilogy so cannot compare this game with that. However from what I've played, I have been very impressed and found it thoroughly enjoyable, albeit having to learn new game mechanics. Also the graphics are superb and the storyline is engaging. I like the fact also that this game can be played in a linear fashion (of sorts).

    Game has its downs, but it is seriously really fun to play. Story is quiet interesting, game play is good. Of course it has one of the worst face animations of the decade, but does it really matters? I don't get people who rate it 1 or 0, it is stupid.

    In any game i'm all about the narrative and this game slightly disappointed me, it was lackluster and had a sort of sense in direction, but heavily focused on either building outposts or saving captives, the sense of the mysterious monoliths was interesting but that is the only strength I feel from the story.

    If I was BioWare, this is what improvements should be made, have a more condensed map, not so many planets, this is what made it feel over exhausted, I feel that a smaller collection of planets would have suited better, another improvement would be making characters more interesting, maybe have a small cut scene of their life when you meet them and have those points reflected in the game, might make is easier to be sympathetic if they say died during a mission.

    Overall, this game has some good elements, but the story and characters don't push this enough, and with the vast open worlds it makes it harder to digest.    … Expand

    Many of the elements that made me a fan of the Shepard games are there and they work well, the combat is much better than the previous games even. I enjoyed the story telling and the stories around the Pathfinder's teammates. If you haven't played it yet, I'd recommend giving it a try now. My only criticism is that there are still a number of bugs that make it impossible to finish some of the smaller side missions. I was still able to finish the main game and 99% of the side missions, so it is not critical.    … Expand

All in all for the price now this is a great game even at full price i think it would be worth a play through. don't go in expecting a Mass Effect masterpiece, because it really isn't but it is a fun game and a return to the ME universe, think dragon age 2… Expand

    Honestly the game I experienced is far from a lot of the negative hype this had received. 25+hrs in so far and the game has been fluid, animation in a general aspect is clearly above anything to be considered average in today's games. Most importantly it plays like or similar enough to what makes the Mass Effect series successful.     This is the first Mass Effect game I've played. I was addicted in the first hours of the game due to the history content and the beautiful graphics, planets environment. I struggled in the beginning to understand the level mechanics and I found it difficult to unlock new weapons. At the end of the game with improved weapons the game improved a lot. The User Score for this game is more reflective of what EA should be rated for their pathetic leadership. The vast majority of initial issues with this game immediately after release were fixed.

    Andromeda has most of what you've come to expect from previous ME games: great overall story about humankind exploring the universe and new worlds; meeting and learning about new aliens all with the conflict you'd expect of different cultures with different aspirations; deep dives into the lives of your teammates, their backgrounds, challenges and how they've come to be who and where they are at the time of this story; & actual fun gameplay action that's better than the original trilogy. This game is enjoyable & better than most similar games.

    DON'T let online trolls that trashed the game before patches ruin it for you by not giving this a go yourself. And even before the fixes, the story & action surpassed the bugs that superficial users let influence their reviews. The original ME trilogy set a high standard to live up to. Is this game Mass Effect 2, the platinum standard model of games of these genres? No, but it's arguably close because some areas are better (seamless combat controls) while yes, some other areas come up short (like 99% of other games you'd compare to ME2). Andromeda 2 could have a shot at equaling ME2. Here's hoping EA make the sequel because there's a lot of fans out there very much looking forward to more from this series in the future.    … Expand

For my money, this game was well worth the time i put into it (63 hrs, 39 mins, 04 sec and that's is before I realized there was some post game work to do.).     It's not worth $60, and you should probably kick yourself if you paid that much, but for $20 or less - even for the base experience - you can't go wrong. Especially if you're a Mass Effect nut (I'm not). 8/10    … Expand

    It’s s great game! Just play it. If you can get past the first 4 hours, you get hooked. My only issue is the pop in textures. In 2017 that’s unacceptable. Deepest M.E yet!

    Having just finished my first play-through on nightmare at 100+ hrs, I can only say that my personal experience does not agree with a 4.8 user score. Not at all. It would be interesting to see the average scores from May or so.

Still, it is impossible to account for _such_ a big difference in scoring so my guess is that there was probably a lot of emotions involved.
    When MEA was released I was quite occupied with work. Having played the other ME games I knew what I would be getting myself into with a new Mass Effect game: buy game, start playing, become completely consumed and addicted to the story, must play any time I can, just one more mission, grumpy wife... All totally worth it. And so it went down. I have thoroughly enjoyed MEA. Completed all side quests that I could find and looking around for more.

    I liked the storyline, loved how the team characters developed (OK, not Liam ;)). The combat was absolutely on-the-spot to my liking with AI being pretty good. Loved these typical first encounters - first vault run, first destroyer, first architect - WTF I'm going to die!!!
    Laughed hard on many occassions with lines coming from Peebee, Jaal and Drack. And having any combination of them in the Nomad. Peebee and Cora was also good fun ;)

    So yes, the graphics are under-par. Some animation graphics simply sucked, pretty badly. And I had a couple of bugs where I needed to load a saved game in my 100+ hrs run.
    But if you're a gamer like me that buys into this combat/gameplay, story, lore and how a game feels then MEA is a great game. I gladly trade graphics - and a little stability - for any of these.

    MEA is another great game. Could it have been better? Yes, definately. Would I like and pay for more single-player DLC and sequels? Hell yes! Is MEA worth the price tag? Yes, no doubt. I would give the game a 8.5 out of 10. Seeing the current user score I have made it a 9.

    I have never taken the time to write a review. My only hope is that in some way it may help to get the game dev team and EA realize that they absolutely must make more ME content. It makes me very very very sad to read that this may be the end. Mass Effect is dear to me.    … Expand

    It is the good old mass effect but with the open world and endless side-quests. The main plot may not be as epic as in the first trilogy, but it is the exploration and all the small details and many planets that you can settle and spend time on that make MEA as good as any game of the past. Some of the side quests are not very original and make you travel a lot, but many are interesting and rewarding and lead to some unexpected results. And what I loved the most is that you can continue exploring the universe after finishing the main plot - and there are still a lot of things to do and see there!

    Overall, I don't regret a single minute I played it and I rarely play games this long.
    Space-based RPGs rarely appear at all and it is too bad MEA received such low rankings - I'm afraid Bioware will drop the franchise.

    Definitely give MEA a try if you are a space opera fan, a game like this won't appear for many years.    … Expand

    It might be the biggest, most complex and action packed game in the franchise, but Mass Effect: Andromeda is also the least convincing one. The dated facial animations, the inconsistent writing quality and the regularly occurring bugs take you out of the experience too often. On top of that, BioWare has not used the concept of a whole new universe to its full potential, which often makes it feel like Mass Effect: Andromeda has not left our Milky Way at all.
