    **The plans all went Haywire and everything is in disarray when we arrive 1 year after the setup people..
    *You're predecessor fate is so unrealistic it's NOT funny.He was 100X's the quality of character that you are.

    *Combat~ The cover system is AWFUL! Reminds me of a cross between Gears War,Mass Effect and a generic Indie cover shooter....I keep getting lit up...Granted I'm playing on HARD.(2nd FROM hardest so I get my moneys worth via challenge) and YES I died 6 time son the final battle in intro/prologue....

    **BIOWARE- Notorious for mass amounts of Loot-Fodder! UGH!!! This goes back to KOTOR with looting 8 different helmets all +1 in every category thus pointless and annoying to try and micro manage...
    From Kotor toMass Effect to Dragons AGe. that's 8 games ALL WITH SAME LOOT SYSTEM THAT SUCKS!

    **I started my gaming life the biggest Bioware fan ever. Baldur's Gate Era around 1999 and this is the biggest disappointment to date from this company...I am no longer trusting Bioware and will NOT buy games(only rent) until they imrprove........

    the end product seems like this game is in ALpha....
    The Animation is awful on purpose because of ANita Sarcesian types.

    It's just an outrage over a great franchise in favor of feminists and SJW. In this game everything is bad. The plot, characters, role-playing system, quests, dialogues, gameplay. All this causes only disgust. Bioware just spit into the faces of all fans of role-playing games.

    At first I had this game ranked as an 8. Unfortunately that honeymoon phase has worn off and what is left is a clear picture that this game was simply unfinished. The first three, last two in particular, were masterpieces. Unforgettable journeys through space with a brilliant cast. Andromeda is just plain disappointing and at times terrible.     This is a multiplayer review only. Since I only play mass effect horde mode. What realy turns me of is the 30fps. It feels so slow and unresponsive. 60fps should have been the target. Major letdown.
    Also only 5 maps.

    Soy un amante de lo que nos ofrecia ME... y sobre todo de las elecciones... Ese carisma que había forjado mi personaje ... Andromeda es un buen juego pero NO ES UN MASS EFFECT.

    Es una oportunidad perdida y creo que la siguiente entrega, que la habrá,,,, será igual o peor.

    Bioware keeps reheating this awful sci-fi junk, like they do with Dragon Age for fantasy hungry fanboys.
    It was fun with the first chapters, but it's been a free fall from there, with the last episodes (Inquisition and this ugly Andromeda) reaching new levels of awfulness.
    Besides, do people seriously think it's fun to have relationships in games?

I did not really get into the story until I completed the Ryder family secrets, which at first appears to a major trolling mission until you realize that it may very well be the most important aspect of the game (and the most interesting part of the game but only until you getThis game is a dumpster fire. Before that point it is infuriating collecting them all). As for the game itself I felt like one massive troll. 99% of the missions just have you running around the galaxy solving everyone's minor issues as if you were space Jesus (like setting up antennas or finding new ingredients to make beer or hooking up a Krogan with an Agaran). Also, most of the missions have NOTHING to do with the plot and everything to do with lazy colonists not willing to take care of their own **** I could not get invested in the main story and I could really care less about my crew mates (I despised talking to most of them, like Liam, that guy is a waste of time, I actually missed the first three games where I loved the characters - except Ashley, who is probably a Trump supporter). Loyalty missions don't matter and it seems they took out all the things that made Mass Effect awesom (the power wheel, omnigel, characters you could get invested in, a plot that was worthwhile, great antagonists, creepy aliens, control over your crew mates in battle so you can get biotic and tech combos, even weapons on the Nomad). The main antagonists, the Kett, are just a bunch of faceless rubes that are easy to put down. And the Remnant are a poor replacement for the Geth. It is also very buggy and glitchy. I had so many game breaking glitches that corrupted saves that I lost count. And what is the deal with making your character? Somehow they managed to screw that up as well!!! The main mission is complete write off Mass Effect Andromeda is a massive waste of time that actually hurt the franchise. Why does EA need to destroy everything it touches? Mass Effect is poor man's Fallout 4, completely lacks any imagination. Honestly, I could care less if they released a second one in the series.… Expand

Понравились только локации планет, красиво, но уже на середине игры вам сильно надоест кататься по ним.
    Концовка сможет разочаровать даже если вы от неё ничего особого не ждёте. Это дно дна с надрывным пафосом и постоянным комментированием всеми всех наших действий. Никто не затыкается ни на минуты и говорят банальные фразы из самых низкосортных боевиков 90-х.    … Expand

Well, in a way I don't really know. I quit playing it so early on, in absolute disgust, that -maybe- it gets better. I think my "0" review is fair though.     Kept off playing the game any further than the first mission after launch, hoping it would improve. Nope, I was wrong. It did not improve, and it's just as awful now as then. Huge fan of the first 3 games, but this is just bad.

    The game itself looks decent, it has good visual's design and the soundtrack is good, the best part of the game is the game-play without it doubt, but everything else is a mess. Ironically the shallow linear based gameplay of mass effect 2 and 3 are significantly more enjoyable than the tedious exploration based gameplay of Andromeda.… Expand

    After a few hours of Andromeda, I couldn't even bring myself to care enough to keep going. I didn’t care for the main characters whether I play as female or male, crew is completely unlikable and lame, story is uninspiring, to put it in simple terms: Chemistry didn't happen. There is nothing Mass Effect about Andromeda except in name and the "sci-fi" theme.
    Big disappointment.

It just a horrible world, all the woman character look like sutvivors of bad botox jobs with the latest sjw hair cut and they are all **** people..The world isThis game is a horrible, frustrating and biring ecperiance.. Pacing of the game is also bad , you walk arend takk to people for 2 hours , then fight for 1 hours. the whole game is split into specific gameplay segments that are to long. I played this for twenty-two hours before I encountered finicky save files. If I load from the menu, I get stuck at the loading menu perpetually. If I try to load from autosaves sometimes, none of them will load. Now, I've run into my latest manual save corrupting.

    Mass Effect 2 remains my favorite gaming experience. I replayed each of the original trilogy at least three times each. I love them so much. But I was turned away by this title's bad press for a whole year. Finally giving it a chance now, I am sorely disappointed. I keep having to convince myself to return to the last half hour or hour before the corrupted saves. I keep having to literally force myself awake during NPC dialogue and during the long drives in the Nomad between lame quest #1 and lame quest #2. I loved Dragon Age: Origins so much, but Inquisition was suuuuuch a drag with all of those soulless fetch quests and that's what we get here. Having to do the same ones again??

    I might have given this a higher rating if EA hadn't declared that they're done with the title. I expect no patch. And when [read: "if"] I get to the end and discover what all the fuss is about this missing Quarian Ark?? Why would I want to do this to myself? Please do not support this developer. Zeschuk and Muzyka are gone. The days of Jade Empire and KotOR and DA:O are sooo far behind us.    … Expand

Ну и убогая анимация и ОГРОМНОЕ количество багов (серьезно, я такого давно не видел). Развлекают только стычки с врагами, но их малое разнообразие еще более удручает. Все мог исправить интересный финальный бой,Безумно скучная игра. Слабый сюжет, сильно деградирующая диалоговая система, скучный гг, система развития неспособная заинтересовать в повторном прохождении, бестолковые сайдквесты. Ну и убогая анимация и ОГРОМНОЕ количество багов (серьезно, я такого давно не видел). Развлекают только стычки с врагами, но их малое разнообразие еще более удручает.     Loved the Mass Effect trilogy (with the exception of the asinine "Citadel" dlc for ME3). "Andromeda", however, is an absolute steaming heap of tedium and unintuitive controls. A more appropriate title would have been "Lost in Space".

    I’m giving this a 2/10 because I did try to play it. So excited, particularly with ME2 and 3, and had high hopes for this. But when I got to the first planet i came to the realisation that this is not ME but something quite different. And I mean different in the most profoundly awful way... the story was terrible, characters we all loved were gone, and don’t get me    Such a shame...

    I’m giving this a 2/10 because I did try to play it. So excited, particularly with ME2 and 3, and had high hopes for this. But when I got to the first planet i came to the realisation that this is not ME but something quite different. And I mean different in the most profoundly awful way... the story was terrible, characters we all loved were gone, and don’t get me started on the silly spacesuits and annoying rocket-propelled jumps!

    I really did try, and I did get halfway through, but I just got bored, and annoyed at the terrible open-world gameplay. If you are a fan of ME 1-3 I implore you to never ever play this game. It will annihilate your love for the Mass Effect trilogy. Whoever was responsible for this monstrosity should be held to account, particularly for the damage it has single-handedly caused to the Mass Effect universe.

    This game destroyed the mass effect franchise and I hate it for that. It was boring as hell and the complete opposite quality of the original trilogy.
    I didn't even make it past the half way point, I was done with how boring it was.
    This game was also far to buggy and the AI also sucked.
    And don't get me started on the facial expressions.

    The game is quite good, at least now after all patches. The animation is not that good i agree, but overall game experience feels good as well. The plot isn't very complicated and it's not bad after either.

    Battle system has been improved since previous games and it's finally interesting to fight multiple enemies.     The game is fun but when in first 20% of it you have bugs where you cant finish quests, and also cant move back or forward as doors wont open at certain point then i would call it unplayable and a scam. None of it will be fixed as nobody is working on it. Enjoyed it but ultimately shame on you EA and Bioware.

Even years later there are glitches. I've had areas of a map not load. The game game freeze while loading. NPC's just look unfinished. I've had to quit and restart to get a quest to load or finish. The story feels weaker and feels like a poor copy of the trilogy. I didn't feel as invested with the crew our given. The new galaxy feels lifeless 2 new races and one of them is the enermy. I remember hearing that after this game came out there were so many problems with it that Bioware went f**k it and abandoned it but it.
    Again I know this review is years late but with the remaster out I want any new players to have a chance to read post from someone who tried to come back to it years later.    … Expand

    An explanation of each character difference, backed up by history, is required. I don't want to communicate with a gay man, but with a thoughtful character who can be anyone. The story brings a fictional character to life, makes us adore or hate him. But not when they shout from the screen that it is absolutely normal to be like that. No, this is unnatural. Don't force it on us.
    This is not how to show that minorities are strong and have equal rights. Horizon just came out and shows you how to create a strong female hero.
    The main thing here is not a lackluster plot and bad graphics.
    This is just a very bad representation. An agenda that not everyone agrees on yet. An agenda that not everyone will accept.
    I'm very sad now. Because of this game, I lost a piece of my heart. Mass Effect is no longer for me.
    Please, if you don't want a bad script to come naturally, don't buy this game. Don't sponsor the death of the video game industry.    … Expand

    I am a huge Mass Effect fan. I loved the original triliogy. When I preordered the deluxe edition I was excited by the different direction the game was going. However... after playing it for 2 hours and the barrage of graphical glitches, I give up. The facial animations are bad and the overall graphics look worse than Mass Effect 3. Мне как фанату-задроту серии обидно что масс эффект скатился в УГ.Жаль что купил это по полной цене , через полгода цена данному "шедевру" будет 600 рублей.Итак поехали.Что в игре хорошего - освоение планет.Первые пять минут неплохо,дальше провал.(Хотя большинство из них должен признать однообразные и вызывают откровенную скуку.)Геймплей ничем не отличается от ДА Инквизиции.Разница лишь в том что в Инквизиции ты набиваешь очки влияния, а здесь очки перспективности андромеды.В игре совершенно идиотская система диалогов которая не влияет абсолютно ни на что.Они говорят мы убрали систему парагон-ренегат,но вместо нее поставили ахинею какую то, а именно варианты ответов эмоциональный,рассудительный что тот еще.Даже название главных злодеев поленились выдумать - здесь теперь кетты(да,да похоже на гетов с первой части).Они такие себе переделанные протэане ,перекрашенные в зеленый цвет.Боссы скучные,однообразные и неинтересные,все что нужно сделать:вынести на локации босса этих самых кэттов,вокруг которого вертится шар.Так босс неуязвим ,но когда ты сносишь ему этот шарик,о чудо его можно убить.И так почти абсолютно все локации.Потыкай станции,убей несколько одинаковых боссов-архитекторов которые присутсвуют на всех локациях.И хрен с этой лицевой анимацией, цепляла бы сюжетом игра,но сюжет туп,банален и предсказуем.Видя такой масс эффект Шепард бы в гробу перевернулся.Еще отдельную тему занимает сканер главного героя.Сканировать нужно абсолютно все что попадется,забив на сканирование ты рискуешь не получить очей исследования, и не скрафтишь нужную тебе пушку.Тупая система сохранений дает о себе знать.Всегда играю на максимальной сложности,и иногда нужно сохранить прогресс,но иногда сохранится невозможно,и не убив одного несчастного моба,ты рискуешь переигрывать сначала и сначала,часа по два.Если тебя не пугает все вышенаписанное ,уважаемый покупатель,затаривайся.ЕА уже убила много замечательных серий,вот,добралась и до МЕ.Буду стараться не покупать игры от ЕА,ведь эта компания работает только на то чтобы состричь бабла,сделав из известных серий типа Драгон Ейдж,Бэтлфронт а теперь еще и масс эффект какашку.… Expand

    I am a bioware fan, I almost always defend them. I can't do it this time. I don't care about the technical problems, or animations. The writing is terrible, I can't exactly put my finger on what is wrong with this game. I keep playing hoping it will get better.     Intensely bland, ham-dashed gameplay with poor balance, unreliable servers, and a janky campaign. Even three and a half years after release it's still a dumpster fire of glitches and instability. The ONLY redeeming factors are a few supporting characters. That's it.

    In comparison to mass effect 2, this is boring and uninteresting. It was a struggle to get through and while the base mechanics work the writing and plot is meh...and the game was clearly rushed out the door when I had first bought it the animations and glitches were terrible. RIP Bioware..... EA strikes again.

    Broken game. Had some promise but it is so glitchy and the animations are terrible. I lost save states to glitches multiple times in the first few hours. Loved every other game in the series, but this was a huge letdown.

The gameplay was good I will give it that, but the worst thing I found about the game was the dialogues, they were too cheesy and not funny at all, when ever the characters communicated I wanted to tear out my eyeballs, the characters not one was interesting, the story has promise, but ended up being ridiculous and somewhat repetitive to the previous games in the worst way possible, also not to do with the actual game itself, but one of the game workers caused a lot of issues due to his racist attitude towards white people which put me off not only the game, but video game industry (BioWare) itself, due to them doing so little about it for a long time. The game not only made me lose hope in the new MA series, but the company itself, shame on them.… Expand

    They really blew it with this. Mass effect held such a special place in my heart, then BioWare went full EA and released a clearly unfinished game with a sub-par team, hoping the previous 3 amazing games would carry this pile of crap. No. I was super let down by this.

First step, try and make a female Ryder that actually looked like her facial model instead of that horrifying thing they made as default. The character creation was a pile of poodoo to work with, cruddy sliders but finally managed to make her and her brother look good enough to look at for a gameplay.

    The scanner is one of the worst additions to the game ever, you literally have to use it in every area you walk through to find data pieces, codex and story mission info, you can't find it or access it without it. Jetpacks are stupid, it's only included because it's inevitable that you'll be stuck in different parts of the map and need it to get out.

    I read that the game was initially supposed to be Papa Ryder as the main character. At least that would have made sense as he was an N7 and had the proper training to lead this motley expedition as Pathfinder. When he dies, in no way should the Ryder kid be the next up to take over, you're literally just on this trip because you're traveling with your father as a family not because you've had special training to take over. He had a second in command, who had every right to be angry that kid Ryder took over as Pathfinder because you're completely incompetent in comparison!

    The people are still ugly to look at, actually found a hideous troll looking lady on the bridge of the ship and was ready to start making a scrapbook for the most horrifyingly looking people that I could find in the game. There is no background noises on the ship or on the planet or any ambient music, it's so eerie to wander in the utter silence and not even have your people talking. The worst part is that I'm pretty sure I could take any ugly looking animations if only there was a really good story to move me along but guess what? There's not even that. It's not even semi-decent where I could play through the end and be like well that was worth one playthrough. Nope, I kept falling asleep during this game and felt nothing pushing me to finish.

    It makes me angry that Bioware was destroyed in such a way. Anyone who thinks that Mass Effect isn't dead and there's still hope is kidding themselves. EA wouldn't even allow DLC to be released for this game and shut down the whole studio who was working on it. What does that tell you? Avoid this game if you value your time and energy.    … Expand

    Man...this is sad more than anything else. All 3 games of Mass Effect was so fu**ing good. Yes ending of Me 3 was small mess but anyway game was fun. But Andromeda is all the way is mess. Only thing is better is combat...thats it

    The player animations are from previous gens, the menus are a headache, and the AI is just uninspiring. Enemies are just boring, don't even care about killing them half the time.     It is certainly not the worst RPG in the world, but as far as Mass Effect goes this is just not it. The first 3 left big shoes to fill, with ME2 being an absolute gem of a game; but this felt rushed and uninspired completely. If you have played the first 3 games, definitely still give Andromeda a play through. If for nothing else, you can get the achievements and say that you have played every Mass Effect game.

    Now for the constructive part;
    the game play is smooth, the actions switch in a smooth manner and there are things added and improved (as expected). The worlds are beautifully rendered and in some case even magical.
    However, with worlds so beautiful you'd expect pleasant facial animation and better than 2012, but no, it looks like they just look so stiff and unexpressive. HELL the first mass effect looks way superior compared to this animation! (I do believe they have aged pretty nicely though). And the glitching, the glitching! As I said, I bought this game 1 YEAR after the release so patches had been created and still had characters disappear and never to be found during battle, people speaking to the wall and me replying to their backs, tired faces with the characters telling me how they felt cause I couldn't tell, got killed and the game kept om going without me while the game over was hovering over my character's body and wouldn't transition to the loading screen (kept it on to see if my squad mates killed the boss and I'd revive for kick but nothing), etc.
    The story is boring, I never feel the urgency of the story nor the investment in the characters, they could all be Kaiden or Ashley for what I care. The character conflict is always short lived or their relationship among each other (Ryder and father for example) are odd at best and very detached. I understand having a distant parent in the story, but there is a distant father or a apathetic character that has no feeling of any sort with no explanation with no sense of the characters being connected or somehow disconnected. Bioware used to be able to tell amazing stories in it's golden age, where did they go? This story line feels like a Buch of ideas glued together, which I understand its basically what happened behind the scenes and it shows.
    Combat and enemies are always the same (it's not 2007 anymore you have the tea now) and for how beautiful certain worlds are, they are just too big and there is way too much exploration which takes away from the story and it has you forget what you are doing and why you go in that position to start with. The colours are over saturated and it doesn't make it feel like it belongs in the ME universe. I personally prefer having certain abilities and classes from the start and get better at them, but here you can change your class and abilities whenever... not a fan; you are trying to grow with your character and focus on certain abilities and get better at them, but this system makes your character feel like a Jack of all trades, you know all but KNOW none.
    If it had been a game in and of itself and was mainly exploration based, sure, whatever, the beauty of the worlds and mystery of them could have saved it a little, but to be inserted in the mass effect universe and receive this it was basically DOA.
    However, because I hate the original Sarah Ryder, I created my own and, though there were few options, I created a cool and pretty character + brother and the autogenerated father was a silver fox that I would of personally romance if had the chance and understood why Cora was pissed he died (even if that was short lived).

    It's a lengthy review, but this game is so bad that just saying it's garbage is unfair to the team that I understand was pushed and shoved during development and had to release a game that was broken from pre production. I would have given it a 1, but because the devs were under pressure a pity point is earned.    … Expand

    An end of a legendary game series for me. I have spent hundreds of hours of previous mass effects but this is just unplayable. The shallow writing is just too much. Storytelling was the foundation of Bioware, but it has since morphed into this horror.

    It might be the biggest, most complex and action packed game in the franchise, but Mass Effect: Andromeda is also the least convincing one. The dated facial animations, the inconsistent writing quality and the regularly occurring bugs take you out of the experience too often. On top of that, BioWare has not used the concept of a whole new universe to its full potential, which often makes it feel like Mass Effect: Andromeda has not left our Milky Way at all.
