    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This review is for the campaign mode not multiplayer. Some of the combat is fun but a lot is really repetitive. Don't really like the whole run to a room to fight waves of generic enemies just to run to the next room where you rinse and repeat. Seemed to be a lot of mindless button mashing. Being forced to switch characters so often was a drag too. Just when you start enjoying the game play of one you have to switch. Maybe the campaign is just an intro into the multiplayer. Do yourself a favor and play Ghost of Tsushima instead.… Expand

    Finished the campaign and a few post game quest lines. The story was very good and a nice MCU-ish way to introduce the current Ms. Marvel. Single play function very well aside from so slow down in larger fights, and some visual effects could be removed to help cut down on confusion. The multiplayer is very shaky at launch, I’ve yet to get a full team of 4 but 2 hero teams work fineFinished the campaign and a few post game quest lines.     I honestly have so much fun playing this game i don't know why people are hating on it without even playing it first.

    The story is fantastic, Gameplay is great, looting could be better but it's fine for now, but other than that I have no complains so far.

    This game is trash it runs at literally 26 or 27 fps not even a stable 30 and it's locked Spiderman with a 400$ wall the graphics are so disgusting

    This game is a masterpiece. As a comic and game fan this is possibly one of the best adaptations of a superhero game. I’m a huge Spider-Man fan, but I don’t think I enjoyed that game as much as this. It’s definitely not as risky. You may read some criticism that it is very similar to destiny. To an extent there’s a lot of truth to that. I’m not one who enjoys Destiny. But I would say thatThis game is a masterpiece. As a comic and game fan this is possibly one of the best adaptations of a superhero game. I’m a huge Spider-Man fan, but I don’t think I enjoyed that game as much as this. This game is made with a lot of heart. What really interested me was the interactions between Marvel characters. Most of the characters speak and act as I have always read them to. And i’m excited to see what the new roster will bring. I don’t think people who like the MCU may enjoy this game, but authentic comic fans will be thrilled to see this new narrative. I have already put in 30 hours and feel like I’ve barely touched the surface. With new updates incoming soon, I am finally enjoying 1 thing in 2020.… Expand

    I think the most frustrating part of this game is that it dangles in front of you “what it could be”. Just think if they had made this a linear game with hub areas like another Square product FFVII Remake, or say they decided to go open world like Insomniac’s Spider-Man.
    The Avengers deserved a better game than the bad level design, repetitive mission slogs, unsatisfying loot, loose and    I think the most frustrating part of this game is that it dangles in front of you “what it could be”.     single player is about 10-12 hours depending on how much you do, with endgame being mission baised areas, that some people will probably get tired/burnt out on it fast

    the Devs have plans to do more post launch stuff, including heroes, and more missions verity solid 6-7 game, yes there is some problems, but the devs are working on it its a shame, so many people are bent on seeing    single player is about 10-12 hours depending on how much you do, with endgame being mission baised areas, that some people will probably get tired/burnt out on it fast

    This is THE Avengers game is was waiting for, for years. I am so intrigued. There are flaws.... and there are problems at the moment, yes, but nothing game breaking, at least for me.

    The Story is nice, people complaining to not know Kamala and making her non-existent new character should really get more into comics ^^

    Looking forward to the Quantum Realm DLC this autumn :)

Rote repetition of chanting mantras that were played out in 2019 take the place where an Avengers story should be. Awful story. Awful, awful story without craft or storytelling expertise. It just keeps getting worse the longer you play. This story is not fire. It's not awesome. It’s not intriguing, it doesn’t draw you in. The terrible cringe of the writing won’t grow on you. IT SUCKS!     Mixed emotions on the game. The story starts off pretty fast & interesting but quickly finds itself sinking and it struggles to pick itself back up tho it does manage to at least try a few times. The multiplayer aspect of the game finds itself getting in the way of the single player experience. The story itself isn't necessarily a bad one. The game just gets in its own way its pretty hardMixed emotions on the game.     Great game! Fun campaign that will hooked on a new storyline we haven't seen from the movies. Each character has its own play style.

    Played game and then update come out for it I had 90% bugs 1 getting **** though walls
    2 hulk won't grab walls have to spam the grab button like 30 time
    3 invisible walls 4 aim now do 10x the dev Wait for this game to go on sale it a mess anthem 2.0

    I’d been waiting so long for this game and it didn’t disappoint. I’ll give it a 9.5/10 only because I felt as if the story was too short, I loved it so much that it would’ve been great if they had expanded it a bit more. The gameplay is amazing, it feels smooth and fun. The characters and their relationships are amazing, I had my doubts at first but they did an amazing job with them.     Game is good. With it being the end of this gen and no new games really coming out. Except for cyberpunk which was has been pushed back a billion times. This games is pretty good.     The negative reviews are like reading any comment section of any social network app out there. People love to hate these days. Is this game super deep like Skyrim or something? Of course not. It's not supposed to be. It is a very fun game to play! Kids and Marvel fans of all ages will love it!

    This game from the story aspect is AMAZING!
    I love the characters and the voice actors are doing a great job. For the online it can get a bit boring when your alone but with 1 or 2 friends it super fun. For marvel fans this game is for you.

    Décalage de son, bug audio a répétition comme disque rayéJeu pas du tout optimisé pour ps4 de base... Point positif est la version FR quand ça bug pas. L'histoire est bien sans plus. Le jeu manque clairement d'optimisation. Pour moi le jeu est encore en Alpha test. Mettez vous au boulot.

    Very fun! People will inevitably compare to PS4 Spidey, but that doesn't feel like a reasonable comparison since the games are so different. The grinding may be a bit of a drag at times but the varied gameplay mechanics and fun story make up for the smash-and-loot parts.

    Terrible gameplay that even a 5 year would be disappointed with, this game is worth 10 dollars max and even then thats a rip off, basically made to steal money from children, loot system crap,gameplay crap, story is shockingly bad and dont even get me started on the microtransactions poor game

    It could’ve been a great single player title. The publisher chose to go down the game as a service path though, and those who prefer to play solo need to tackle run-of-the-mill co-op missions. The multiplayer on the other hand is messy, chaotic and in the long run boring. When the developers manage to fix the most pressing bugs and find a way to bring more variety to co-op, this might become a solid game. Right now, I can only recommend it to the biggest fans of the Avengers. [11/2020, p.26]

    This is the perfect example of "Games as a Service" done right. Marvel's Avengers offers up a superb campaign story to play through that is promised to be expanded on in the future. The gameplay may be repetitive, but it includes just enough to keep players interested and invested in the endgame content that is available now to keep this game going until the next step in its roadmap. The possibilities and potential in the future here are hugely exciting.

    There have been plenty of moments during my time with Marvel's Avengers where I’ve genuinely had a great time. But this game keeps finding ways to drag itself down- at times it almost feels like it goes out of its way to do so. There’s just so much here that I can’t overlook, no matter how hard I may try. An unnecessary and broken loot system, a litany of horrible technical issues, uninspired and one-note mission design, and a story that fails just as much as it succeeds- it doesn’t matter how mindlessly fun the combat is, it isn't enough to overcome such a heavy list of problems.
