Behind tough controls there's a game quite enjoyable, that makes up for its lack of content with good options for user generated content.

For all its face-plants, still offers a reasonable amount of entertainment for what you’re paying. Maybe just wait a little while for Ubisoft’s Steep instead. [January 2016, p83]

It doesn’t quite strike a perfect balance between simulation and arcade-like accessibility.

Infinite Air offers a lot to like on a conceptual level, but its faulty trick system creates a hole that is impossible to fill.

I was really looking forward to Infinite Air with its skate-infused controls. But unfortunately the control scheme is clumsy so your boarder feels like someone who had a few too many shots before going on the slope.

Snowboarding is back... and this game made us wonder whether that's actually a good thing. Aren't some things meant to stay dead?

Mark McMorris Infinite Air is a strange beast with strong social elements and great ideas that are hampered by a clumsy control scheme. It’s something that may be tightened with time and practice but I never got the sense this could truly be mastered. It’s a sparse genre so boarders might decide to take the plunge.

If you’re desperate for a snowboarding or extreme sports title and you don’t mind putting in the time, Mark McMorris Infinte Air will likely quench that thirst, but don’t expect to be racking up points and hitting perfect lines even after many hours of it.

Mark McMorris Infinite Air is not going to appeal to more casual snowboarding fans, and unfortunately I would include myself in that category. If you are looking for a game that you can pick up easily and pull off some crazy looking tricks, you might want to look elsewhere. However, with properly aligned expectations and a willingness to sink some time into learning the game's mechanics, you can get a lot out of this one.

Mark McMorris Infinite Air is a cold game which lost its great intentions because of its poor control.

Mark McMorris Infinite Air gets the fundamentals roughly right and has quite a bit of customisation, but that's about all there is to it. It's a blank, newly laid sheet of snow – fresh and clean, but nothing exciting comes of it.

Game doesn't spoon feed you anything, you have to earn every rotation while shredding.

Infinite AIr is the most authentic snowboarding game ever made. Learning curve is massive, animations are impressive, sound design is nearly perfect and, the most important, gameplay is fantastic. Don't trust official reviewers and try this game (free demo on steam).
