    I could not even finish the time trial they offered. The game is new yet it feels so old. Nothing changes, still has tons of bugs and glitches. A little advice if you want to buy madden 21 buy Nba2k21 instead

The game hasn’t changed in 7 years, it has graphics equivalent to those of a PS2 game, and modes that aren’t able to constantly drain your bank account are being watered down every year.     The game got worse. Ball carrier mechanics feel off, very choppy at times, online capabilities VERY limited. I regret buying this game, should’ve waited for it on next gen.

    Yet another copy and paste year in Madden. This year's biggest additions were used in past Madden games and were failures then, and guess what? Surprise! They are still failures. Now they are pushing SJW garbage on the player by shoving Kaepernick into the game. Not only is he shoveled into FA but he's rocking a ridiculously high 81 for a player that hasn't played since 2016.     By far the worst version of madden I’ve ever played and I been playing for over 20 years. The player ratings are a joke. The game glitches more than it ever has. You can’t get thru one game without something messing up. Which is crazy because I’m hard wired in and have the fastest internet you can buy. Face of the franchise is absolute trash.     Please fix franchise mode...

    Use to get so excited to buy Madden every year in August. Have only bought it ever other year since Madden 17, and don’t even look forward to that anymore. I don’t play MUT, and if fans like that mode, that’s fine, but EA has the resources to make both at a very high end level.

    EA stopped trying years ago. I use to play the loving heck out of these games and loved them. That was back in the madden 07 years.

    I started buying every few years because it REALLY wasn't changing at all. Now it's woke, rehashed garbage yet again..

Success is determined by animations again rather than player ratings and stick skill.     Madden has failed to keep up with the times. Each year, the franchise puts out the same product and every year, EA expects you to pay another $70 for updated rosters and the same terrible game play.

    Online play has been reduced to a bunch of kids that watch YouTube and try to exploit one offensive play and one defensive play. If you can shut down that one offensive play (generally Pats    Madden has failed to keep up with the times. Each year, the franchise puts out the same product and every year, EA expects you to pay another $70 for updated rosters and the same terrible game play.

    Online play has been reduced to a bunch of kids that watch YouTube and try to exploit one offensive play and one defensive play. If you can shut down that one offensive play (generally Pats Verts or a sweep), the kids will quit in the first quarter. There is literally no skill of any kind involved in this game. It literally becomes "can you stop the other guy's one offensive play?" While this makes it very easy to win games (via forfeit), it simply is no fun. Who cares if you are 50-25 for example when half of those wins were over in the first quarter?

    Madden Ultimate team also continues to gain complexity as EA tries to suck every dollar out of its customers through microtransactions. This only empowers the lower skilled players to use their one play and then invest in Tyreek Hill and some power ups to further exploit the game's inherent "gimmicks."

The menu screens, especially for Ultimate Team are so god damm slow. Free games like America’s Army Proving Grounds and Realm Royale have faster response times in the menus. It’s **** ridiculous the amount of timeI haven’t played madden since M16 and almost all of the issues that drove me away from the game before still exist today. I’ll start with what’s most annoying to be personally. The menu screens, especially for Ultimate Team are so god damm slow. Free games like America’s Army Proving Grounds and Realm Royale have faster response times in the menus. It’s **** ridiculous the amount of time it takes to load when simply going from the lineup screen to the auction house. And same with the pause menu in game. That combined with many bugs, unrealistic player movements, a lack of content in ultimate team, constant server outages, and the ridiculously bogus balance between the highest overall players in the game against low gold cards in solo challenges. Cards with 70 speed are somehow catching up to receivers and running backs with speeds in the high 80’s to 90’s. As for mut points and packs, I don’t have a problem with micro transactions. I have a problem with micro changes being made to the game every year that don’t affect the realism of the gameplay. When professional football players analyze the game and conclude the movements are completely unrealistic (especially linebackers and offensive lineman) to how an actual NFL game would go is all the proof you need to know the last many maddens are not at all an accurate football simulation. And EA sports can go **** themselves. NFL drop EA off the highest cliff you can find.… Expand

The game was more fun to play in 2007. Franchise mode is abysmally horrible and ignored - formation subs are impossible to use, you can only sign free agents to 1 year deals during the season, the draft is boring and they majorly decreased the ratings of all rookies coming out - there are 4 or 5 “okay” players in each draft (essentially making rounds 2-7 superfluous), no training camp or offseason progression (not to mention that you can only progress players by certain archetypes which feels entirely unrewarding), and there’s even more that just makes this mode drab and boring. EA continues to ignore quality, instead only investing in the modes that have micro transactions. Madden 21 is a continuation of the way EA takes advantage of their monopoly on football games - leaving people to buy product that hasn’t changed much in well over 5 years just because they love football. In response to well-deserved criticism, EA has tried to maneuver out of admitting their fault, and just recently added in Colin Kaepernick to virtue signal and pander - inflating his stats egregiously (the last time he was in Madden he was a 76, and now he is mysteriously an 81, seemingly becoming a better quarterback over the four years he hasn’t played any competitive football) and insulting the upset masses who just want a decent product that at least works half-right. Face of the Franchise is a ridiculous mode, that is outright painful to play through. There are some who may be content to play the arcade style modes like Superstar KO or The Yard, but anyone looking for a simulation football experience will be vastly disappointed. Seriously, Madden 2007 was 1000 times more playable. I hope the NFL will reconsider their exclusive license with EA at some point, after seeing the disastrous handling of the game. Or maybe some executive at EA will finally listen to the thousands of people who hate this game experience and get rid of the entire department to hire some people who actually care.     Somehow worse than last year. Audible bugs on kickoffs, again. Motion doesn’t work in some formations. New, more confusing pre-snap defensive options. Random button misfires. Very buggy. Again. Refunded. Oh and they added a controversial Quarterback who hasn’t played in four years and he’s better than half the league's starters. BUT THEY ADDED HIM AFTER EVERYONE BOUGHT THE GAME. Cowards.

Everything needs to be reinvented especially the physics of the run game and way people are tackled. Repent! You are a monopoly in this space. You’ve become cheap and lazy.     I’ve been buying Madden every year since 1996. Never have given it a bad review. Now I’m never going to buy this game EVER again. Instead I will spend my “Madden” time trashing the piece of crap game that it is before taking a knee on EA Sports/Madden forever. Thanks for the wake up call.

Other than that, game was like being at a five star restaurant expecting filet mignon and getting a microwaved Dog turd on a silver platter.     Its broken. Madden is always broken but its just ridiculous as this point. Close to zero effort made to fix complaints from last year. And then a whole slew of new ones. I've literally never bothered to make a complaint but EA is the scum of the gaming world. Just go make mobile games since all you care about is bland products while bleeding your customers dry.

It has virtually non-existent change year to year and only minor graphic enhancements.     The NFL needs to find a more driven company to make their simulation football game. EA becoming lazy is an understatement. People do NOT care about flashy dances and mircro-transactions. We want the CORE GAME fixed. Bugs are everywhere, nothing works correctly, game modes are DULL, online stats are GONE, players are mislabeled, franchise mode is unplayable.... I can go on and on.     It has so many bugs and issues, The game play actually got worse. It is extremely disappointing. Considering they stopped working on Madden 20 w/ 3-4 months to go in the cycle to work on Madden 21 and they were able to create a worse product. Do not recommend. Do not buy.

    The game has no improvements from Madden 20. Political messages everywhere, Franchise mode literally untouched, and now multiple microtransaction modes in the game The Yard and Ultimate Team. EA has shown they do not care again.

The gameplay was drastically improved from '19 and franchise mode received some notable additions, but Madden NFL 21 did not move in the same direction as it's predecessor. There are too many bugs, franchise mode is exactly the same, and ultimate team is completely pay-to-win, as per usual. EAI thought that Madden NFL 20 was a step in the right direction for EA's exclusive football game.     My opinion the game is a little bit better than 20 but madden 21 is not that great. The game feels more like a arcade then simulation. Like for example, when you get a first down the fans in the stadium scream “first down” just like they do on superstar KO which nobody on earth will say that at a NFL game. And the pass rush system can be very overpowering as well.

    NBA 2K 8/10 MLB The Show 6/10 Madden -45/10 Not exaggerating what so ever. It’s that bad. Every. The last good Franchise Mode was Madden 07 for PS2.     first time i bought Madden in 3 years, i play mainly franchise mode with a little ultimate team from time to time. this game is the same trash i played 3 years ago. guess ill try in another 3 years because it still has less content than we had 15 years ago. the game is already deleted from my library. what a waste of time and money.

While you may not see an issue with this, it has come at the expense of the other modes, modes that used to be cornerstones of the Madden franchise.     Madden NFL 21 is another blatant recycling of last year’s edition of the „simulation“ of the American football. Sadly, most of the modes remained the same. Gameplay received a few minor tweaks, and in the end it still persists as a cash grab not worth anybody’s time.

    For NFL diehards, there remains hundreds of gaming hours at your disposal in Madden 21. These same diehards – much like players of EA’s NHL and Sony’s The Show – will be left with the impression they’ve played this game before, however.
