Dec 9, 2015Interstate '76 meets Fallout 2.
If you have played Just Cause 2 you might notice the gameplay similarities in both mechanics and amounts of fun you get out of the game.

Nov 23, 2015Take all the cool things about Just Cause, water them down, add a bunch of continuity errors and characters you don't care about and call it Mad Max and that's this game. I beat it in six days, got it via Gamefly just to try it and it was barely worth the slot in my queue.

Nov 12, 2015The game is great fun for a short period of time. However, i personally found it to become very repetitive and simply got bored of it after about 8-10 hours.

Nov 10, 2015The reviews for this game are ridiculous. The wasteland is too empty!? That's what it's like in every mad max movie! The progression and ability to create your car and customize max is great! I don't know what reviewers were expecting, Its fun and is what Mad max should be. Yes it get's repetitive but it sort of fits the story in a weird way.

Nov 9, 2015I traded Arkham Knight for this game and I'm not sorry. The fighting is great, the Opus Magnus is fun to drive and do stuff with and there are a log of character/car/base upgrades. Plus 15+ hours in game I don't find it at all repetitive.
-
Nov 9, 2015Mad Max features a big open world packed full of missions and explosive action. There's a lot of fun to be had and a lot of satisfaction through upgrading your Magnum Opus, capturing outposts and upgrading strongholds. My only negative is that the game can get a bit repetitive 8/10

Nov 5, 2015Finally my childhood dream came true. If you aren't into Mad Max there are probably better open world games. Focus on car combat and brawling with very little shooting.

Oct 18, 2015Fortunately this game is not as big of a disappointment as people say it is:
Pros:
Looks Great
Awesome Story
Epic Car and Melee Combat
Clever Survival Methods
Cons:
Minor Graphical quirks in cutscenes
Some Awkward Car Mechanics
PS4: 8/10
XONE:7/10 (XONE has some frame rate issues with the game that currently take lots from the action.
PC: 8/10 -

Oct 17, 2015I really don't understand the hate. It's a beautiful and entertaining game in a gloriously wonderful universe.
Sure, there a repetitive moments like any open world game but at it's core the vehicle sections are phenomenal and the combat is on par with the Batman games.

Nov 9, 2015The best open world games nowadays are an expansion of the form, but Mad Max is highly regressive in far too many areas to be meaningful.

Pelit (Finland)Nov 5, 2015Mad Max used its imagery well, and as a sandbox game, it's thematically pretty coherent. I actually liked this more than GTA V: driving around is more exiting, and Batman-style fist fighting is more fun than Gears of GTA -cover shootouts. [Oct 2015]

Play UKOct 25, 2015A functional open world game, Mad Max captures none of what makes its source material great. Missions are uninteresting, the world is dead and there are next to no damn car chases. [Issue#262, p.64]
