    A simple 10, cause many of the users here just a child and can’t beat a simple game like this even in easy mode, i played first on ultra hard and is still fun and very challenging, one longhorn kick and your dead. Seriously, why in heck a PSN login gotta do with the score in this game? Its outrageous seeing a 7 score for this masterpiece.     This game is the like an upgraded version from the first, it got all the improvement from the first. Eg the conversation from the first is like a doll and robot, this one is like a movie scene. I never skip any new conversation. The skill and the new battle visual is stunning! Like a battle from GOW.

    There’s even a mini chess like game, but,, kinda hate it but for a Horizon style it still great.

    A must have if you like RPG style of game, exploring, hunting ducks rats and bird!, upgrading, battling with challenging robot. And... finding that weak spot to ease the battle. Thanks for this game, i payed full and worth every single penny of my wallet.    … Expand

    I don't have a ps5 yet and i want it to play this game so i picked it up and let me tell you its is amazing On ps4 its almost Identical to the ps5 version i like the story i think its better then the first one for sure i didn't had no bugs when i played the game and Haven't seen none yet but That's it

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Guerrilla Games did something that isn't common, made a sequel that far outpaces its predecessor by miles. Horizon Zero Dawn was already a vastly interesting game with very charismatic characters and a backstory you were dying to learn everything about. Horizon Forbidden West kept me coming back time and time again reading every little data point to learn more about this fleshed-out world.

    The side characters felt unique not only in their appearance, most of the time, but in their personality. While I can only remember a hand full of names of those characters cause I suck at names, their missions will stick with me for a long time. The new companions Aloy brings in, with a couple of them being just old friends, brought a new side to the game that felt fresh providing them with their own side missions to complete to make their relationship with you stronger. However, I do wish this was expanded upon a bit more adding more weight to completing their missions than just individual character growth through cutscenes. While done beautifully I feel their missions were last-minute additions with no real set goal in mind for them aside from just doing them.

    When it comes to the map of Horizon Zero Dawn it was massive but never felt undoable at any given time and the sections of each tribe's border were obvious without being just slated on there like in Saint Row. In Horizon Forbidden West the map's size felt very daunting, especially with how much there was to do in the tiny section of Chainscrape. While moving through the story and doing many side missions, including collectibles, I was able to open up many of the spots but it never felt doable to complete everything until the near end when you are able to fly around, allowing the opening up the remainder of the map a lot easier and safer.

    The story in Horizon Zero Dawn started out as your typical chosen one-style story but quickly turned that on its head by having a legitimate reason this outcast is the only one who can save the world, or in that game's case tribe. In Horizon Forbidden West it starts out with what the stakes are in the game early on as it throws you back into the world with just a quick explanation that these red vines are growing all over the place and killing everything they come in contact with, plants and animals alike. Going forward the stakes stay the same of the world being at risk but with the enemy changing multiple times. First Sylens and his mysterious agenda, to Regalia and her rebels getting in your way to the real bad guys Far Zenith and their near-impossible invulnerability. But just like before they were able to weave all of these characters together in some way that fit the whole story being told and felt natural.

    The machines in Horizon Zero Dawn always felt tough when fighting but you knew you could just power through with slight strategy and come out the victor, you will use quite a few potions but you would win no matter what. In Horizon Forbidden West they make sure to beat that strategy out of you, you will NEED to utilize every type of trap and weapon in order to take down the bigger enemies or you will end up running away after using all your potions and health items and still not completely taken down the enemy. The newer machines introduced were awesome to see and very fun to figure out and fight but sometimes felt a bit unfair if you get caught up in fighting two of them at once and they just put you into a hit cycle that prevents you from healing.

    Overall Horizon Forbidden West was a fantastic game that I plan on spending even MORE hours into just to get everything else done and give the game my highest compliment of acquiring the Platinum Trophy. There are issues the game does have that cause it to suffer quite a bit like random visual buts like texture popping mostly but that only lasts a few seconds and while taking you out for a bit doesn't happen enough to really matter much. The other issue I had was with the character Beta feeling very annoying, I hated this character and cringed every time I had to interact with her. The story also felt like there was some padding at points like when going to get the Aether and you end up getting roped into a civil war within the Tennakuh, while this provides you with an additional ally it felt like it dragged a bit at times.    … Expand

    Plays great on the Ps4 Slim, not as good as Ps5 but god damn I'm impressed with how well it works on Ps4.

    I am blown away by this game. It is by far the best game I've ever played. For all of you **** neckbeards out there who are upset by Aloy's facial hair, it just goes to show you've never seen a human woman up close. It's truly incredible how quickly you were willing to tell the ENTIRE internet that you had no idea all mammals are covered in fine hairs all over their bodies. Truly andI am blown away by this game.     Amazing game. It improves on nearly every aspect of zero dawn, from melee combat to the traversal around the world. Machines are bolder than ever with a greater focus on strategy to take them down. Theres also a big improvement regarding NPC interactions, its much more cinematic.
    The negatives i found are the loading times on menus due to the ps4 hardware

    Fantastic game. Only docked one point for slight visual glitches that in no way effect enjoyment. Story is great, graphics are great, gameplay is great. If you’re on the fence about getting this for ps4 it runs great and is absolutely worth your time.

    So I have only played around 6 hours, but it has the same feel for me than its predecessor, which I loved and completed 2 times, what I rarely do. So for me, since it's pretty much the same as the first game with more of everything I'm all in. The areas look more diverse, you get cool new gadgets, much more to do (which is also overwhelming I must admit) and they added swimming underSo I have only played around 6 hours, but it has the same feel for me than its predecessor, which I loved and completed 2 times, what I rarely do. So for me, since it's pretty much the same as the first game with more of everything I'm all in. The areas look more diverse, you get cool new gadgets, much more to do (which is also overwhelming I must admit) and they added swimming under water. This franchise still is one of the best I played in my 40 year gamer career.

    For me everything works in this game minus the 30 fps on ps4pro. I recommend it.

    Edit: Played a lot more and still very good game. What I really dislike is the camera, while concentrating it zooms in and sometimes vegetation, walls and other stuff blocks your view. Then riding on the mount could be smoother (stops sprinting instantly) when you run over rocky terrain or past objects like trees.    … Expand

    Horizon Forbidden West builds on its predecessor in every way. From the more natural facial animations to the meaningful side-quests. The story was satisfying and it sets up a third game perfectly. There were a fair amount of glitches & bugs, so I think that Guerilla should have worked on those before releasing the game to the public, but it’s nothing game-breaking thankfully.

    This game is masterpiece on PS4. I'm a big fan of Zero Dawn , but first game have had some issues.
    But Forbidden West fixes these problems at all , and adds a lot of new content. Optimization on PS4 very well , graphics is awesome, Face animations are beautiful , Guerilla made a lot of work, but ps4 version have some problems with textures.So i'm playing with enjoy in my heart , I    This game is masterpiece on PS4.     First let me say that I have the second release PS4 but now a days I am playing on PC. I loved the first game for me it was better then God of War b/c's of they world building worked better in Zero Dawn for "ME". This one it maybe obviously that it was not meant to be on the PS4 but I still got. Quality it does not look good but that could be I am use to Ultra 1080p do to my PC but it runsFirst let me say that I have the second release PS4 but now a days I am playing on PC.     This blows the first game out of the water, and that says a lot! The new features were very thoughtfully implemented and well done. The story is excellent, the voice acting is phenomenal, and the characters are very well developed. There are some bugs but nothing game breaking at all.

    Графен и геймплей шикарный, глобальный сюжет и саунд норм, всё что касается истории и миссий связанных с разными племенами как и в первой части неинтересный мусор. Из реальных минусов для меня лично стала внешность гг конечно же, реально что за пацанка, распухла как будто не просыхает пол года, ещё пятна какие-то красные на лице непонятные как у бомжихи. Ещё снег какого-то хрена урезали,Графен и геймплей шикарный, глобальный сюжет и саунд норм, всё что касается истории и миссий связанных с разными племенами как и в первой части неинтересный мусор.     Horizon Zero Dawn was one of those remarkable games in a league of their own that you probably end up remembering for the rest of your life (I'll let you know in a few decades). As a massive fan, I went into the second one with very high expectations, fully knowing that doing so often leads to disappointment with sequels. Well, I was wrong. What made Zero Dawn great, Forbidden West hasHorizon Zero Dawn was one of those remarkable games in a league of their own that you probably end up remembering for the rest of your life (I'll let you know in a few decades). As a massive fan, I went into the second one with very high expectations, fully knowing that doing so often leads to disappointment with sequels. Well, I was wrong. What made Zero Dawn great, Forbidden West has improved upon in ways I did not think were possible.

    Compelling narrative, astounding voice acting even for secondary side quest characters (more on those in a sec), facial and body animations to go with it, jaw-dropping environments, and a really fun gameplay have already made this an automatic GOTY for me. Large open worlds are nothing new, but Guerilla Games have managed to do something that is very difficult to put into words, and saying that "it feels alive" is very reductive. This isn't an Assassin's Creed game (no shade, I love AC), where you will travel across the Mediterranean to kill a guy and will often do so by dodging a long string of fetch quests that do very little to entertain or progress the plot. In Forbidden West you will traverse the world, watching biomes transition around you; you will occasionally run into groups of humans fighting machines and it will be up to you whether to help them or not. Sometimes this will turn into a side quest; other times you will run into those same people (I really struggle to call them NPCs, that's how alive they feel) at a later point in one of the many, bustling settlements that dot the map. But you never feel like you're taking a distracting detour from your main mission while engaging with these characters. Every subplot, every cutscene and conversation (seriously, watching characters' animations during dialogues never gets old), every piece of lore you find, helps build an excruciatingly detailed, living and breathing world that I can never imagine getting boring. All I can say at this point is that I hope we get years' worth of DLC.

    Obligatory performance bit: I'm running it on a PS4 Pro and it's near-flawless. There's occasional texture-popping and I've noticed a couple of bugs, but other than that it is an exemplary feat of optimisation. Hats off to GG!    … Expand

    I thought a game following up something as great as HZD couldn’t live up to the expectations, but this game is just as great as the first, and more. Beautiful new locations, new mechanics that make traversal enjoyable, awesome new machines to fight, and fun new weapons and skills to fight them with. And an in-game board game to learn and master, to boot.

    There are a few minor bugs I’ve noticed here and there, but nothing game breaking, and I’m sure they’ll be fixed soon enough.

    More of the greatness of the first game which i really enjoyed. I’m playing on PS4 Pro and have experienced zero bugs so far. I’m not sure why everyone is complaining but maybe there are bugs further in the game. One area where there still could be some improvement is the UI of the menus for the workbench and other fullscreen UI.     J'avais bien aimé le premier opus, ce nouvel episode est encore plus joli. L'histoire est vraiment entrainante, avec pas mal de quetes annexes, de jolis graphismes et une bonne fluidité de jeu.

    Muy buena optimización para las consolas de antigua generación. A pesar de tener algun que otro bug (que rara vez sale), la secuela de Horizon zero dawn trae un sin fin de nuevas caracteristicas con respecto a la primera entrega. Gracias a Guerrilla Games por este fantastico juego.

    This Game is awesome!! You Start the story with a plague destroying everything, so Aloy must find a copy of Gaia to restore the life creating process. The grapplinghook was a Nice upgrade un Aloy's inventory. You can unblock paths and climb high places. This is a must play. Also I love Rosalba Sotelo's voice for the character. Great job, Guerrilla!!

Even on ps4 the graphics are pretty damn good. Love the changes made with the inventory and (spoiler alert) storage and personal camp sites across the map. You can collect as much as you. And any extra stuff will automatically be sent to your stash.. I could spend months exploring the. *Nit picking:: is even on story mode upgrading weapons is a bit harder and can be a bit inconvenient. Love the free fast travel from camp and being able to fast travel from anywhere. I'll leave it at that, so I don't spoil it too much.… Expand

Из не приятных моментов погрузка текстур и задержка появления значков при открытии карты. В целом разработчики проделали хорошую работу и улучшили все проблемные моменты оригинала.Игра в графическом плане стала значительно лучше первой части. Так же были улучшены дополнительные задания, лицевая анимация, ближний бой. Добавили много нового оружия и много видов брони.     На ps4 работает почти без нареканий, к сожалению иногда наблюдаются пропажи текстур и элементов мира в зависимости от расстояния и это довольно заметно, но в целом это не бросается в глаза.     Awesome graphics tho wishing it was PS5 exclusive which would push the graphics even further I assume. Storyline makes sense easier to follow and the characters you start to truly care about them.

Collecting anything I see (Ridge Woods, Medicinal Items, Storage cache, etc.), killing every machine, climbing that for some reason uses yellow handholds, etc etc. First time using the DualSense with this game and heck yeah it's impressive tho I hope it doesn't get old. As for the story....I honestly can't catch up since it was a year since I've played Zero Dawn so it's important to play the first game before jumping into Forbidden West. Overall I'm having a good time. Just hoping I finish this game before Gran Turismo 7 releases in 2 weeks.… Expand

    I'm extremely impressed and grateful for the optimization Guerrilla did in this game to work as it does. Of course it's not perfect, there's fog in places where it shouldn't and textures take time to render, but it's still super enjoyable and it's giving me a lot of fun and happiness

    There’s nothing wrong with learning from your competitors, but what’s the point of copying stuff that’s mocked even by Ubisoft fans? Hopefully, next time Guerrilla will focus more on Horizon’s own strengths: unique world and mechosaurs that are so fun to take apart. [Issue#259, p.72]

    If you liked Zero Dawn, you will probably enjoy Forbidden West, even though the sequel lost that pioneering spirit and Aloy stopped developing as a character.

    Horizon Forbidden West embraces everything about its predecessor and makes strides in producing an even more compelling world to explore, with intense combat and story moments, and shiny new robo-dinosaurs to punch in the face. I cannot wait to see where Aloy and her companions’ story goes next.
