    Amazing game.
    Great world and fun combat. The skill tree is built well, you learn exciting abilities on top of all the cool abilities you start with. The plot is amazing. It’s a solid sequel.

    By far the best story in any video game. I just loved the game top to bottom. I did not see the plot twists and I usually catch on pretty quick. Nice quests, nice mounts, nice variety of enemies. It’s a huge game but you constantly discover new machines and mechanics. This game is for sure a classic and a staple in video game culture

    The story or maybe the history is as intriguing as in the first game. The last chapter is the weakest part of the narrative, but as it sets up a third and final game, I can live with that.
    Characters are written quite well, Aloy is a bit different than in the first game. A bit more frustrated like "god damn it, i don't want to look at your mushroom store" or "i don't have time for this    The story or maybe the history is as intriguing as in the first game.     Characters are written quite well, Aloy is a bit different than in the first game. A bit more frustrated like "god damn it, i don't want to look at your mushroom store" or "i don't have time for this BS, I'm coming through". It's a behavior similar to mine, as a player - there's the gate, just let me through. Nooooo, you need to complete 54 quests for it to open. Horizon says - fork it, we're coming through. A nice refreshment.

    Fight mechanics as good as in the original game, characters look like real humans, not some bimbos or hunks with 6-packs. No, they look like they would survive in such a wild world.

    The game is big, I've spent over 70hrs, finished the main story and still at only 54%. Lots of stuff still to be done.

    Also... it's visually stunning and I have a PS4. What they achieved at Guerilla with this game is magnificent. I found myself looking at lightning effets (machines light going through high grass which flows on the wind...). Very very impressive.

    I am giving it a 9/10 because of somewhat of a letdown of the final act and not that intuitive skill development trees - similar abilities are enhanced in various places so you don't clearly see the end result of this or other choices you make.

    Other than that - definately a system seller, great adventure which squeezes all of PS4's juices to the max, still enabling stable FPS. This is how things should be done, CDPR :)    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game I thought was solid. The story was awesome and really built on the first game. What I liked a bit better from the first game is getting to know the side characters more and knowing their motivations. Everybody contributes in certain ways and you don't really get a sense of characters just being fillers. I thought the evolution of Sylens being a villain to becoming more of a hero was brilliantly done and you can understand his motivations toward the end of the game.
    The game play was clunky at times like getting stuck on climbing obstacles or being stun locked by enemy robots when you get stuck against a tree or wall. It does have a dodging mechanic which you need to trigger at just the right time to avoid damage. The window to dodge is not very forgiving. So try and learn the timing early on for dodging. A lot of games allow you to become over powered pretty quick but this game makes you work for it. There is a setting that allows for you to get upgrade materials just by killing machines opposed to tearing off components so keep that in mind. The "job" quest tab helps you keep track of items needed for upgrades as well as where certain machines are located. I really wasn't able to steam roll enemies until I got equipment from the arena and having weapons upgraded a few tiers.
    Graphics on the PS4 weren't the best. For instance when you head into a different area and the game has to load you know it. Like texture of plants or rock faces takes longer to load. NPC's not loading completely; at times you will just be talking to a floating head. Later updates fixed some of these issues but never optimized the game for PS4. I don't know if an update caused my sound issue but late in the game you wouldn't hear any background noise. Made the end of the game hard to get into when all you hear is Aloy shooting her weapons and making sound when she gets hit. Explosions wouldn't make a sound if it came from NPC's or enemies.
    Of course the game had some PC components added to it. Like a pride themed facepaint or a side quest with a man who enjoys wearing women's armor. If this was 10 years ago I would brush quest like that off and chock it up to added flavor to the game but I guess I'm more of a cynic now and think stuff like that is added to push an agenda. Which in a lot of cases it is. It is very mild compared to other games. The DLC may be a different story due to Aloy's same sex relationship which in my opinion is out of left field since she shows no interest in having a romantic relationship in the first or second game (until the DLC). I personally think it would have worked better having her not be in a romantic relationship with anyone. Since she is a clone I think it would have fit her character better to not be romantically invlolved.
    TLDR: Great game that takes you on an awesome story. I'd recommend it at full price but this game seems to be on sale a lot. Would definitely recommend.    … Expand

    Simply amazing! A massive open world with enormous amounts of things to (or not as you wish). The acting is great...mostly believable (CEO was a bit dodgy!), although its a shame there wasn't more of sylens (bless him). The graphics were also mostly excellent (aside from the glitches). The gameplay was excellent. I played this for almost 450 hours...on normal then ultra hard. Normal wasSimply amazing! A massive open world with enormous amounts of things to (or not as you wish). I think there's no notable difference between horizon forbidden west and its predecessor horizon zero dawn unless a slight graphical improvement in forbidden west. There are still good features that make horizon forbidden west a pleasant experience. The nature is fantastic. The machines wide variety is breathtaking. The story and plot is catching and character designing and animation is perfect. But there are still some annoying features, especially in game play, that prevent the game from turning into a perfect experience. The first and most annoying of them is that in game there is no mechanism for parrying or shielding and you should always rely on dodging to avoid taking damage but the dodging mechanism is not very reliable all the times and it is even sometimes useless. It doesn't depend on the skill but quite the contrary it depends on the chance. Most of the times you dodge in the right time but still you take the damage. Another frustrative feature is about finding the necessary resources to upgrade outfits and weapons and this feature is very frustrative than dodging. For finding specific resources you should create a job and go to a machine site that its components contain your specific resources but it ain't that simple. You should check which component's loot contains your desired resources and aim that specific component and you should be careful not to destroy that part but to detach it. After detaching if you're lucky you'll get what you need but sometimes you detach that part but still it doesn't give you what you want and this is a pointless laboring and a complete waste of time. So because of these annoying features it would fair to score 8.… Expand

Dabei wirkt vor allem Aloy als Charakter deutlich simpler und naiver gestrickt als im großartigen Erstlingswerk. Konnte man in Zero Dawn selber noch entscheiden, ob man eher Aloys wütendes Kind, ihren Intellekt, oder ihr Mitgefühl einbringen will, nimmt einem der neuerliche Übermensch Aloy in Forbidden West, diesen Spielraum der Ambivalenz komplett ab. Aloy hat immer die perfekte heldenhafte Antwort. Das langweilt und wirkt wenig authentisch. Dass ihre Antagonisten da genau so wenig Charakter besitzen lässt die Storytiefe leider im Disney Planschwasser verweilen. Schade. Denn Open World und Gameplay sind sicher mit das Beste, was Playstation, vielleicht gar die ganze Industrie, derzeit zu bieten hat.… Expand

    I liked the game more than the first part. The open world is full of interesting mechanics, characters, stories, lore and plot. The graphics in the game are better than any praise. The surroundings of San Francisco and underwater Las Vegas are stunning. The world of HORIZON FORBIDDEN WEST is fun to watch and even more fun to play. Looking forward to a future update to the game.

    APARTADO VISUAL

    El apartado visual es probablemente de lo mejor del juego, tienes un mundo abierto con un montón de paisajes y maquinas, donde te puedes pasar horas observando y jugando, se nota un claro salto grafico pero no exento de ciertos retrasos de carga de texturas (PS4 Slim), también hay que destacar su sistema de escalada, además de las cinemáticas, las cuales son espectaculares y proporcionan una experiencia totalmente inmersiva.

    JUGABILIDAD

    El juego tiene muy buena jugabilidad como su antecesor, pero cabe destacar que han introducido como novedad el buceo que permite disfrutar de los fondos marinos coloridos y experimentar el juego desde otra perspectiva.

    Una cosa que se agradece respecto al anterior titulo es que ahora los viajes rápidos entre hogueras son totalmente gratuitos, lo que permite ahorrarte un par de viajes largos y es de agradecer.

    HISTORIA

    Contexto:

    Seis meses después tras los sucesos de Zero Dawn , los peligros de la tierra no persisten son mucho mayores, lo que le obliga viajar al Oeste Prohibido, para salvar el mundo.

    Opinión:

    Lo malo es que hay misiones que realmente se sentían, ves a este punto consigue algo y vuelve, pero lo realmente divertido es lo que sucede durante las misiones, además se compensa claramente con los increíbles paisajes que te hacen recorrer.

    La historia es un poco continuista con el anterior videojuego y tiene pinta que van a seguir esta trama. Pero me parece una historia bastante buena, al nivel de el anterior videojuego.

    La historia no es relativamente larga ni corta, pero si eres complotista este juego se puede convertir en una larga y tediosa experiencia de mas de 80h o incluso mas de 100h.

    CONCLUSION

    Un gran videojuego, que recomiendo jugar a los que les haya gustado Zero Dawn, me atrevería a decir que es mejor que Zero Dawn, por sus maravillosos paisajes y su increíble escalada además de poder descubrir lo que hay debajo del mar buceando. Aunque que tiene algunos problemas me parece increíble que esto este en una PS4. 100% recomendado.

Se você quiser zerar em cem por cento se prepare, pois a dificuldade desse jogo está um pouco maior considerando o anterior. Parte da causa disso é por conta dos novos inimigos, e da variedade deles também.

As novas opções para movimentação são ótimos adendos (agora só falta alguma coisa que te ajude a nadar mais facilmente), e como elas são integradas na história só traz mais importância para sua existência. A história é ótima, aliás, e tem bastante espaço para uma continuação, seja num novo jogo ou em uma DLC. Eu adoraria que fosse deixado para um novo jogo, embora tenhamos ótimas novidades nessa entrada eu não acho que voltaria a funcionar novamente sem uma grande mudança na base.
    Ainda assim, eu fui provado errado várias vezes por esse título, não me impressionaria se um novo conseguisse o mesmo feito.
    A sonoridade está ótima, simplesmente sublime. Os personagens são muito bem feitos, eu até fiquei boquiaberto em certos momentos por conta de como são escritos. Eu achei os vilões um pouco clichês, mas é algo que dá para superar.
    No geral é uma ótima sequência ao jogo original, e eu definitivamente jogaria novamente se precisasse.    … Expand

    Probably my favourite game at this point. Love the characters, the environment is beautiful, the soundtrack is phenomenal, just overall a very well made game and I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment

    To me it wasn't as fun nor adventurous as the first one. Even on Very Easy, some enemies can be very grindy despite hitting their most vulnerable parts. Also feel the plot didn't have as much depth as the first one. Climbing was sometimes an issue, but understood it's not a perfect system. I did enjoy the combat/gameplay as it's essentially the same. Got platinum for both PS4 and PS5 versions.

    Несмотря на то, что большая часть интриги мира раскрылась в первой части, сиквелу есть чем удивить. Улучшилась боевая система, прокачка, исследование, картинка, путешествие по миру и разнообразие активностей. Но главное поработали над персонажами и сюжетом. Герои и отношения между ними и впрямь чувствуются живыми. Мимика, взгляды, шутки, обаяние, остроумие –    Очень хорошее продолжение!

    Несмотря на то, что большая часть интриги мира раскрылась в первой части, сиквелу есть чем удивить. Улучшилась боевая система, прокачка, исследование, картинка, путешествие по миру и разнообразие активностей. Но главное поработали над персонажами и сюжетом. Герои и отношения между ними и впрямь чувствуются живыми. Мимика, взгляды, шутки, обаяние, остроумие – ни разу не было скучно при прослушивании диалогов, даже во второстепенных заданиях. Одно предложение Авада о совместной жизни с Элой в самом начале, на которое можно даже согласиться и от которого наша героиня мило смущалась, чего стоит. Жизнь в игре чувствуется повсюду, особенно в поселениях и ни на минуту не покидает чувство, что этот мир живой, а не выстроен и заскриптован для игрока, а чувства и эмоции витают в воздухе .

    По сюжету и не только вернулись старые знакомые (Эренд, Варл, Сайленс, Петра, Талана и кое-кто ещё, но не буду спойлерить) и прибавились новые, и с ними на самом деле интересно проводить время, а их судьба в мире волнует тебя. Коталло вышел особенно запоминающимся. Но самое главное вернулась Элой и, несмотря на всю смелость и доброту девушки, даже ей в новой игре придётся измениться и понять, что взваливать на себя тяжкую ношу по спасению мира в одиночку никак не выйдет и ради общего дела надо обязательно полагаться на тех, кто тебя любит и не отталкивать их.

    Бой стал интереснее - благодаря появившимся умениями для каждого оружия и появлению суперспособности Элой. Ближний бой изменили в лучшую сторону. Интересных активностей сделали целое море:

    – Разветвлённые побочки с интересными взаимодействиями (больше всего понравились приключения с Морлундом, где нужно было помочь ему собрать воздушный шар);
    – Настольная игра "Стычка машин";
    – Арена;
    – Гонки на машинах с появлением старого знакомого в конце;
    – Контракты с особыми заданиями;
    – Головоломки в руинах, где можно найти приблуду для Вегаса и узнать небольшую историю прошлого;
    – Обзорные точки, где также рассказываются истории из мира Предтеч;
    – Испытания в охотничьих угодьях;
    – Разные котлы, каждый со своей спецификой;
    – Разные длинношеи, также очень увлекательные.

    И хотя финал у "Запретного Запада" не настолько грандиозен, как у Zero Dawn, он сразу же говорит о том, что все трудности, через которые прошли герои – лишь подготовка к ещё большей угрозе нависшей над миром. Как фанат первой части очень рад продолжению и рекомендую к прохождению. Мир и история по-прежнему интересны, племена и культуры разнообразны, герои обаятельны, харизматичны, а самое главное понятны. Ну и Элой всё такая же няшка-обаяшка. ) "Запретный Запад" хоть и не вызывает такого же восторга, как Zero Dawn, но всё же способен удивить и увлечь собой на многие часы.    … Expand

    Графен и геймплей шикарный, глобальный сюжет и саунд норм, всё что касается истории и миссий связанных с разными племенами как и в первой части неинтересный мусор. Из реальных минусов для меня лично стала внешность гг конечно же, реально что за пацанка, распухла как будто не просыхает пол года, ещё пятна какие-то красные на лице непонятные как у бомжихи. Ещё снег какого-то хрена урезали,Графен и геймплей шикарный, глобальный сюжет и саунд норм, всё что касается истории и миссий связанных с разными племенами как и в первой части неинтересный мусор. Из реальных минусов для меня лично стала внешность гг конечно же, реально что за пацанка, распухла как будто не просыхает пол года, ещё пятна какие-то красные на лице непонятные как у бомжихи. Но прокачка легендарных предметов - это какой то ужас... требуют запчасти от самых топовых машин для каждого... так что с самыми сложными машинами ты устанешь биться...В остальном и сюжет и сам мир хороши!     Spectacular. Tech is on another level - nextgen and old gen! Story is well written but not on the same level as the first one. Gameplay is more refined than HZD but bugs in path finding make it look less polished at times. Great sequel anyway.

Из непоспоримых плюсов игры визуал и звук - картинка шикарна даже на пастгене (проходил игру на PS4 PRO), фпс практически не проседает, толькоПровел в игре более 100 часов, что могу сказать: хороший, спокойный сиквел без революций. Новвоведений не очень много, а реально интересных и крутых и вовсе пара-тройка, больше всего понравились полеты, сделаны удобно и прямо созданы для скринов. Из непоспоримых плюсов игры визуал и звук - картинка шикарна даже на пастгене (проходил игру на PS4 PRO), фпс практически не проседает, только иногда видна подгрузка текстур. Также заметно улучшили анимации персонажей, во время диалогов они ведут себя как живые люди - не стоят на месте, жестикулируют, словом, очень качественно сделаны. Геймплей в базе остался всё тем же, расширили количество приемов рукопашного боя, арсенал оружия, нарядов, которые теперь надо прокачивать. Прокачку раздули аж до 6 веток, так что поначалу даже теряешься, но очков отсыпают с головой. А вот с чем явный перебор, так это с контентом, вернее с его подачей. Поначалу может показаться, что контента в игре навалом и он разнообразный, но потом приходит осознание, что он по большей части одинаков и сводится к гринду. Да, есть приятные исключения по типу орнаментов либо стычка, а также сайд-квесты, но их немного, а стычка быстро надоедает. Остальные же, арены, контракты, аванпосты и т.д., рассчитаны на гринд и однотипные бои. Нет, сражаться с машинами все еще классно, да и новых завезли немало, а у каждой еще разные подклассы есть, просто со временем бои с ними превращаются в рутину, когда ты знаешь как побыстрому завалить ту или иную машину чтоб побыстрее выполнить квест и уйти. Ближний бой вроде и разнообразили разными приемами, но само выполнение комбо сделаны странно, нужно делать паузы между ударами, что неудобно. Также появились различные ульты, но я думаю, что большинство все время пользовалось одной-двумя, я так сам делал. То, что добавили крюк-кошку, прикольно, только юзать её можно в строго определенным местах и только для передвижения, я бы хотел видеть её применение и в боевых ситуациях.. Короче говоря, по геймплейным механикам прогресс есть, но небольшой. А вот сюжет разочаровал: после эпика первой части, где мы узнавали с Элой этот новый, интересный мир, её происхождение и тайны Предтеч, сиквел показывает нам внутренние разборки племен, политические интриги, очередную вариацию Аида, внезапное появление Предтеч, в конце явный намек на возможный триквел. Персонажи зачастую неинтересные и быстро забываются. В этой части у нас появляется база, а также типа "спутники", которые в основном торчат на ней и раздают квесты, а также очень любят попусту болтать, что утомляет, бессмысленных диалогов в игре очень много. Короче говоря, сюжетка стала слабее оригинала.
    В общем, игра хорошая, качественно сделана, неимоверно красивая, но одноразовая и с душным гриндом. Современный Sony style.    … Expand

Like the disk, rope blaster,multi arrows. You just focus on bow, lance and bombs, and you get to beat almost every enemies. The graphics are amazing. The only drawback is the drawing distance on the PS4 whichHorizon Forbidden West is a great follow up to the first game. The story just add a lot layers to the first game. You can also get stuck with jumping in certain corners, so there are bugs related to that.

    The sounds are still rich in every aspect of the world. There is an incredible effort put to the sound placements. The music is perfectly fitted to the game. The level system seems to follow the game very closely, but you have to do some side quests. The money system fells apart (if you do most all the side quests and errands) around half the game. You will finish with a lot of money. I advise players to watch Tip and tricks on the net, to get the best settings and to know what to focus on in general. I give the game 92%. It took me 75 hours. I didn't do any combat arena or practice or races, and didn't play the boring board game (which I think is pretty bad).    … Expand

    Nice, but maybe too classic? This game often shines when it comes to highlighting its universe, its history and its stakes. By contrast, the open world is still too big for nothing, with lots of uninteresting areas that don't reward exploration. But the game has a lot of highlights, and a very well-honed gameplay around the machines.

    I payed about 80 hours there so much to do. I like that you can remap the buttons unlike the first one.i felt there wasvto much dialogs. Some of glitches annoyed me i had to rest but didnt fix it Teleport outside the caldron.

    Horizon Forbidden West builds on its predecessor in every way. From the more natural facial animations to the meaningful side-quests. The story was satisfying and it sets up a third game perfectly. There were a fair amount of glitches & bugs, so I think that Guerilla should have worked on those before releasing the game to the public, but it’s nothing game-breaking thankfully.

Hikayenin ögeleri alakasız uçlarda değil, sürekli birbirleriyle etkileşim halinde ve bir bütünün parçası gibi duruyor.

    İkinci oyunla bu dünya daha da genişletilmiş, ilk oyunda isimlerinin geçtiğini hatırlamadığım yeni karakterler ve düşmanlar eklenerek oyunun en azından hikaye olarak ilkinin ucuz bir tekrarı olması engellenmiş. Bu düşmanların kim olduklarını, nereden geldiklerini, amaçlarının ne olduğunu oyun uzun bir süre gizliyor. Bu merak unsuru da oyunun ana hikayesine olan ilgimizi (yan görevlerle bölünse bile) diri tutuyor. Far Zenith'lerin kim olduğunu, gücünün kaynaklarını sürekli merak ediyorsunuz ama ana görevler dışında neredeyse hiç karşılaşmıyorsunuz.

    HFW klasik bir kurtarıcı öyküsü. Burada yeni bir şey yok, her zaman olması da gerekmiyor. Aloy (bazlama suratlım, alev saçlım) ilk oyunda çok fazla aklımda kalan bir karakter olmamıştı ama bunda aşık oldum resmen. Bunun en önemli nedeni ise yüz mimiklerindeki gerçekçilik.     Yan görevler çok titiz hazırlanmış. Büyük keyif aldım. Bir iki tanesi hariç her birinin bir hikayesi, az biraz merak ögesi ve duygusallığı, en azından macera hissi var. Yazılan hikayeler ve diyaloglar ile sinematikler ve seslendirme kalitesi takdire şayan. Üstelik bazı görevler oyun boyunca ara ara devam ediyor. Hakikaten oyunun en önce çıkan yönü yan görev kalitesi.

    Oyunun yakın dövüş mekaniği leş gibi. İnsan bir bloklama falan koyar. Mal gibi yerde yuvarlanıyoruz. Vurduğun da anlaşılmıyor ki. Metal makineyi tekte yere seren mızrak, insanda da tenekeye vuruyormuş gibi tan tun ses çıkarıyor. Tamam zırh var da yine de saçma duruyor.

    Uzun menzilli tonla silah var. Disk atar yeni eklenmiş sanırım, hiç kullanışlı değil. Ben genelde düşmanı elementle zayıflatıp güçlü oklarla parçalarını düşürdüm. Çok güçlülere karşı ok atar ve bomba sapanı kullandım. Zaten şu parça düşürme muhabbeti olmasa oyunun kombatı bence aşırı sığ. Silah çeşitliliğine rağmen sığ. Ancak o parlayan sarı düşürülebilir makine parçalarını gördüğünüzde hepsini düşürmeye çalışmadan edemiyorsunuz. Bu da dövüşe yeni bir boyut kazandırıyor. Çünkü çoğu zaman amaç öldürmek değil, öldürmeden önce mümkün olduğunca çok sayıda parça düşürmek. İşte insan düşmanlarla dövüşlerde bu parça düşürme olmadığı için bu kadar sıkıcı.

    Oyundaki npc'ler oyunun geçtiği dünyaya veya içinde bulundukları şartlara hiç uymuyor. Adam maden kazası geçirmiş, yüzünde ne bir yara ne de bir toz izi var. Tertemiz yatıyor ve sadece karnını tutup konuşuyor. Tamam illa bağırsakları aksın demiyorum ama hiçbir npc içinde bulunduğu duruma uymuyor. Bu eksi, oyunun dünyasından koparan bir şey.

    Grafikler, görsellik, manzaralar ve ışıklandırma muhteşem. PS4'te bile çok iyi görünüyor. Fps problemi yaşamadım ama kaplamaların bazen geç geldiğini, arada flu olduğunu söylemem lazım. Bu da oyundan kopmanıza neden oluyor. Yükleme süreleri de çok uzun. Su altı görselliği ise bir oyunda gördüğümün en iyisi olabilir.

    Oyunda çok güzel yüz boyaları var ama Aloy'un güzelim bazlama suratı kapanmasın ve mimikleri örtülmesin diye hiç kullanmadım.

    Açık dünyada yapılacak bir dünya şey var yine. Harabeler bulmaca yönünden fena değil, haritayı açtığımız uzunboyunlulara ulaşmak da kendi içinde bir puzzle olmuş. Karakollar var her zamanki gibi ama insanlarla dövüşmek tatsız olduğu için yapmadım

    Üçüncü oyun kesin gelecek, ilk oyunun bittiği yerdeki gibi bitti çünkü. Umarım biraz yeni tip düşmanlar ve geliştirilmiş combat görürüz.    … Expand

    Just spent almost 2 months playing it and despite some technical issues I will now look at every game and compare it to HFW, I cannot wait for the 3rd one that will no doubt be the biggest conclusion of any trilogy ever, this has been a ride like no other!

    This game is the like an upgraded version from the first, it got all the improvement from the first. Eg the conversation from the first is like a doll and robot, this one is like a movie scene. I never skip any new conversation. The skill and the new battle visual is stunning! Like a battle from GOW.

    There’s even a mini chess like game, but,, kinda hate it but for a Horizon style it still great.

    A must have if you like RPG style of game, exploring, hunting ducks rats and bird!, upgrading, battling with challenging robot. And... finding that weak spot to ease the battle. Thanks for this game, i payed full and worth every single penny of my wallet.    … Expand

    It is so much fun to just run around and explore this beautiful world, doing side missions and hunting machines for useful parts. I instantly got sidetracked and just forgot about the main story for hours, while the world slowly but surely got revealed to me.
    I was hooked for 14 straight days, and thought about the game even when not playing - it is very addicting!

    As with all video games, some slight annoyances are unavoidable, and the climbing is something that instantly comes to mind. it was a bit clunky in the first game, and they improved it somewhat here, but it still is one of my least favorite parts about the game - especially after the climbing I'm used to in Zelda Breath of the wild.
    Melee combat is also still not very rewarding Imo, so I stuck to ranged weapons about 95% of the time, but I didn't miss it much, as using your bow, spears and sling is very fun, and excellently implemented.
    Also, in the heat of combat, Aloy often takes too long to recover when knocked down by machines, which can be frustrating when struggling to take down a challenging machine.

    These are very minor issues, and didn't affect my enjoyment of an otherwise excellent adventure throughout, but still worth mentioning.

    One of the very best games the Ps4 has to offer, and a superb choice for any action/adventure enthusiast. If you're a particular fan of this genre, you'll probably also love this game - highly recommended!    … Expand

A good and deep adictive story with an unexpected twist at the right point, strong woman, plausible characters, learning about human abysses without pointing fingers and blatant moral self-satisfaction (from which we are experiencing so much these days) and hey, you, naughty dogs, look at this graphics!
    One point deducted for the sometimes tricky controls, on high difficulty this is nothing for movement dyslexics like me ;-).

    De lo mejor que hay para ps4, en mi opinión es una obra maestra y el claro ejemplo de cómo se hace una secuela, mejorando todo lo que ya estaba perfecto en su antecesor, el mundo abierto es una genialidad, las misiones secundarias a un muy alto nivel, al mismo nivel que las principales, la historia es muy buena, siempre te vas a sentir con la intriga de que pasara en cada misión, y losDe lo mejor que hay para ps4, en mi opinión es una obra maestra y el claro ejemplo de cómo se hace una secuela, mejorando todo lo que ya estaba perfecto en su antecesor, el mundo abierto es una genialidad, las misiones secundarias a un muy alto nivel, al mismo nivel que las principales, la historia es muy buena, siempre te vas a sentir con la intriga de que pasara en cada misión, y los gráficos que a pesar de ser la version de PS4 se ve estupendo, es increíble la optimización que tiene, sinceramente de lo mejor que he probado.… Expand

    It plays so smooth on normal PS4 and it looks amazing, Guerrilla and Sony did an incredible job of supporting the PS4 players with another masterpiece with great performance on such old hardware!!!

    I finished the game after 51 hours and i must say i enjoyed it a lot ,loved the gameplay even tho its nothing new in this gaming genre,the story was kinda meeh but i loved aloys character even more ,great music during battle ,they developed the original gameplay even more ,the environment is beautiful great graphics and the world is alive with animals etc - great experience in general

    Me encantó, es básicamente el primer juego pero mejorando en todos sus aspectos, Aloy me parece lo mejor del juego pero sentí que varios personajes me parecen de alguna forma genéricos pero el entorno y el concepto sigue igual de fantástico que el primero, una secuela que cumplió bastante

Agradezco que las misiones secundarias no se hagan pesadas, o repetitivas. cada una tiene su pequeña historia con sus distintos personajes. Llevo 60h de juego, y me sigue sorprendiendo.     just so ppl know i am playing this game on a base PS4 and yes i have seen a few bugs but they are few and far between and have e a few friends that have the game on PS5 and they say the same thing

    the graphics even on a base PS4 are great and from what i have played of the story that is also leading to great things as well i would highly recommend this game to anyone

    EDIT: I have just finished the story to this game and it is very good, after the credits, the world changes to show what you have done in the main story quests which were not in the first game and I think is a good addition can't wait for the 3rd game to come out and see what happens in the story still would highly recommend to anyone    … Expand

    So I have only played around 6 hours, but it has the same feel for me than its predecessor, which I loved and completed 2 times, what I rarely do. So for me, since it's pretty much the same as the first game with more of everything I'm all in. The areas look more diverse, you get cool new gadgets, much more to do (which is also overwhelming I must admit) and they added swimming underSo I have only played around 6 hours, but it has the same feel for me than its predecessor, which I loved and completed 2 times, what I rarely do. So for me, since it's pretty much the same as the first game with more of everything I'm all in. The areas look more diverse, you get cool new gadgets, much more to do (which is also overwhelming I must admit) and they added swimming under water. This franchise still is one of the best I played in my 40 year gamer career.

    For me everything works in this game minus the 30 fps on ps4pro. I recommend it.

    Edit: Played a lot more and still very good game. What I really dislike is the camera, while concentrating it zooms in and sometimes vegetation, walls and other stuff blocks your view. Then riding on the mount could be smoother (stops sprinting instantly) when you run over rocky terrain or past objects like trees.    … Expand

Whatever, I played this on a base PS4 & it is an amazing looking game. There are many improvements over the first game. Plants now have animations when you move through them, cut scenes & character/facial animations are MUCH better, you can swim under water & it looks amazing, Spoiler: you eventually aquire a breathing apparatus which is awesome, Spoiler: you also eventually aquire a flying mount which is cool considering all other mounts are surprisingly slow! Seriously, I think Aloy can sprint faster than any mounts other than the Sunwing! Doesn’t make sense… Expand

    Gostei da evolução em relação ao primeiro, game muito bom, mundo aberto rico e bonito.
    A história é bem interessante também. O game evoluiu em tudo, em relação ao Zero Dawn.

    Um ponto que me incomodou, foi em relação a Aloy. Que as vezes ela leva um golpe, e demora muito pra levantar. Para um game com gameplay rápida, isso acaba atrapalhando.

    Another great game by Gorilla games, it's a huge leap forward in terms of graphics, gameplay, story, characters ETC. And the world is absolutely incredible! The game is full of details and love... Performance on a PS4 PRO is pretty good as well.

    I am very glad that the forbidden West turned out the way it turned out. I've always wanted to learn more about this universe, but the first part couldn't interest me as much as the second one. Travel, activities, plot, side quests, characters.. And what a visual the game has, it's incredible. Everything turned out cool and interesting. I thank the developers for the work done.     Amazing game that is getting review bombed by angry Russians! With side quests, the arena and hunters challenges there is over 70 hours worth of content. The story is great, the fighting is good more complicated than the first which has its ups and downs, and it’s just all around more polished than the first game.     This game is looking extraordinary. Guerilla made this one better in every way. Better graphics, better story, better gameplay. It has some glitches regarding the graphic like collision missing between Aloy and various objects. But the game feels so good once you get the pulse of the environment, and the story is glued nice also. I'll invest many many hours to complete it without rushing anything.

    I played the PS4 version which looked great, but felt a bit lacking the controls department, mainly swimming and fighting flying enemies. Whenever I had to fight a Sunwing or Stormbird the camera would be kinda hard t control/work with because the view from below was often questionable with grass/debris/trees/Aloy in the way. You can definitely work with it, but it wasn't always very good.
    Last but not least I wouldn't mind if the next game was a little less bloated in terms of "Here, have 28 different kinda of bows with 5+ different qualities and now collect stuff to upgrade them all". That was a bit excessive.
    All in all 7.5-8 for me, good fun and well worth the money.    … Expand

    I just happened upon Horizon Zero Dawn about six months after it was released. It wasn’t my type of game I had normally played. After finishing the entire game… I think I cried (don’t judge). I immediately needed a sequel. It was the most unbelievable game and when I heard that Horizon Forbidden West was coming I about lost it. This journey with Aloy and the amount of creativity andI just happened upon Horizon Zero Dawn about six months after it was released. It wasn’t my type of game I had normally played. After finishing the entire game… I think I cried (don’t judge). I immediately needed a sequel. It was the most unbelievable game and when I heard that Horizon Forbidden West was coming I about lost it. This journey with Aloy and the amount of creativity and attention to detail (in all aspects) is mind blowing. I am only about 50% done at the moment, but I love how many layers they keep adding to her journey to save mankind. This game is like watching a blockbuster movie that you get to immerse yourself in. Granted, I am on the PS4 still so my grade of a 9 is for one little area in particular. I feel the graphics are incredible and I can only imagine how they are on PS5, but in the low light scenarios in the PS4 version, I feel the detail is muddy and a little lacking. Particularly in the blue and red scenes (which there are a lot of). I am a photographer so graphics and details are important to me. Not to mention photomode. I have spent countless hours just photographing the scenery. It’s breathtaking and very accurate! (Im from the West Coast). They included so many National Parks and i love it. I cannot imagine the amount of time that went into this. You can tell that everyone who worked on it is passionate about Aloy’s story and how much they wanted to get every detail right. Yes, there are a few bugs in its first week but that is expected of any new game. This game is absolutely incredible and I cannot wait to find out the ending.… Expand

    Great sequel! The game takes the best from the first one and still improved the gameplay. The open world is really cool to explore and the sidequests are a nice way to spend some time playing.

    Masterpiece from Playstation studios and Guerrilla games, from gameplay to graphics to open world design everything is just perfect, audio is superb, incredible boss fights with machines, you should come up with different strategies to take them down. Side missions are as good as main ones, the game is addictive!!!

    There’s nothing wrong with learning from your competitors, but what’s the point of copying stuff that’s mocked even by Ubisoft fans? Hopefully, next time Guerrilla will focus more on Horizon’s own strengths: unique world and mechosaurs that are so fun to take apart. [Issue#259, p.72]

    If you liked Zero Dawn, you will probably enjoy Forbidden West, even though the sequel lost that pioneering spirit and Aloy stopped developing as a character.

    Horizon Forbidden West embraces everything about its predecessor and makes strides in producing an even more compelling world to explore, with intense combat and story moments, and shiny new robo-dinosaurs to punch in the face. I cannot wait to see where Aloy and her companions’ story goes next.
