Gone is the sense of satisfaction you get from growing your collection of dream cars, of buying a normal road car and turning into a race contender and yes, even easily winning a race in a vastly overpowered car. If you enjoyed any of these activities, you will be disappointed by GT Sport as they are simply not there.

The argument that GT Sport has better, more competitive racing just doesn’t add up to me either, anyone who thinks this can’t have played the more recent entries in the series very much. Whilst it was possible to enter the Sunday cup with a super car and win easily, as the races got harder, and more challenging cups were unlocked, this was simply not possible. When everyone has a race spec 1000bhp GT car you can’t just throw in a turbo charger and win the race, it’s simply not an option, and neither is winning if you come of the track, or repeatedly bump into other cars.

GT Sport takes itself very seriously, which is fine some of the time, but without the variety offered by the other entries in the series, without the more light-hearted elements, it just doesn’t feel like a Gran Turismo game and it’s simply not as fun to play. It looks great, and online racing is well implemented, although even this is extremely limited at launch; but there is nowhere near enough content, the sound is still lacklustre, and it falls short of the realism of Project Cars 2.

I find it impossible not to feel cheated by GT Sport, this was a missed opportunity to make a game with great multi player and single player elements, it could have been a truly fantastic racing game with a much broader appeal but instead it feels like a cut down product, more like a Prologue version than a full release. I’m left with a sense of loss and I find myself contemplating if what so many people loved about a Gran Turismo game is gone from the series forever.

Luckily, there is a game called Forza 7 that is 100× better. I highly recommend picking up that game along with the Xbox One X if you felt cheated, lied to, betrayed and disrespected by GT Sport and Sony, like I have.

To be fair, the graphics are beautiful, museum mode is interesting and online play is well put together, however...

The game lacks depth outside of multiplayer and as others have said, is much more akin to a prologue release with limited cars, & limited tracks. With zero career mode (yes there are challenges, but no solid career progression), inability to mod cars, etc really hampers my excitement. While I understand Kazunori Yamauchi's (the game's director) interest in expanding the online segment, his comment to Nathan Birch of WCCFTECH is way off based. He said:

“Twenty years ago, when we did the first Gran Turismo, people knew what happens when you change an air filter or increased compression ratios do to your car. But the new users don’t have that knowledge anymore because they’re not as interested in the cars, so we’ve simplified [some areas of the game] so you can do the exact same thing you were doing in the past, but it’s more user-friendly for people just getting into cars.”

Unfortunately that's not true. Gamers aren't ignorant of the real world - in fact I would argue that many gamers are more in tune with the modern sophistication of driving than most.

Before the haters unleash, yes I know it's called "sport" and not a numbered version, however it's not a Gran Turismo game at all. It is a brilliantly executed online racing sim if that is what you want, but it should have been marketed under another name. It is readily apparent the Gran Turismo moniker was used specifically to bolster sales numbers - to convince people (like me) that love the tried and true aspect of the series to shell out money - especially in preorders - in the hopes it will live up to it's namesake.

    Pros:
Online racing is some of the best
Beautiful graphics (especially in 4k HDR)
License tests are true to form with the series
You can feel the uniqueness of each car in it's handling

    Cons:
No internet, no real play or saves
    No career mode
The whole entertaining progression of working your @$$ off to gain another car to expand a garage is gone
    No dynamic race conditions

All in all, if I wanted to play multiplayer, I'd play CoD or StarCraft II. If I wanted to get my FIA license, I'd spend my weekends on a real track working towards that end. ...and if I want to play Gran Turismo, sadly I'll have to wait until PD understands what has made the series so successful in the first place.

I liked what I saw; the presentation, the activities, creative modes and of course the racing. To me, the game could have been called 'Pretty Nice Racer'  or anything, so calling it a 'Gran Turismo' didnt matter to me;

...but there lies the problem for folks; If it is that far removed from previous versions that it is no longer what people perceive as 'Gran Turismo style' I can understand disappointment on the behalf of the die-hards, you bought a game that was not what you thought or expected it to be. I also get the others who say that adding the 'Sport' to the Gran Turismo tag makes it different … it is not called 'GT7'.

Funnily enough, I have come to this PS4 for 'Gtsport' because I had/have the very same issue on Xbox with 'Forza Motorsport 7' … different platform, different franchise, same problem. FM7 is not what I was expecting based on my play of FM5 & FM6 .. things have changed big-style, gone are the bits I loved and a different style of gameplay has been introduced. Exactly the same issues on both 'new games' on both [primary] platforms. The ''Forza' and 'Gran Turismo' communities are both split because both franchises have branched out in diversity.

I wont get right into the meat of these arguments, I am just going to say .. I got a refund on my 'Forza' game and I bought 'Gtsport'. Both, in my opinion fine games with one major problem, they have been poorly named; they are bastardisations of fine pedigrees … If a dog is born in a stable it is not a horse.

The game should not be branded Gran Turismo. It's not a successor to previous GT games. It's just a pretty shell for online races – it's a different game entirely. That's fine, but "Gran Turismo" means something to players, and they cut 90% of it out. Sony won't give refunds or I would have returned it. My fault. I won't pre-order a game and make that mistake again.

I can't help but feel they are simply using the GT name to generate sales as casual fans like myself will pick this up having no clue what the actual package contains, and it isn't much, sparse car select, tons and tons of repeat models, 17 whole tracks and no dynamic weather. I'm tired of supporting shady business practices such as these. People keep screaming that it's not all about the content, well for $60 and myriad of years waiting for a GT entry on PS4, I disagree, it's all about content and quality and meeting expectations, other games on the market are doing it and I expect them to do it as well. Do yourself a favor and wait until this goes on sale or buy PD2 or Forza 7, much better entries in the racing genre. The holidays are coming so all three games will be cheaper in the next few weeks. If you want true hardcore, a little too hardcore, racing sim try iRacing, that game is the definition of racing sim but it's PC only, the next closest is PD2 which you can get on consoles, FM7 if you want a wealth of different cars to drive and build and like weather dynamics. The Sound Department has had a major upgrade and each car sounds as they should, backfire, gear whine and chasis judder are just some of the sound effects that are present, tire squeel has been updated, sounds much more realistic and quieter as it should. Graphically GTS has the best lighting engine of any console racer to date, its simply stunning, especially with dynamic 4k HDR on the PS4 Pro, PD spent 4 years working on HDR and it shows as its the best representation of HDR so far this gen. GTS features a non traditional campaign instead focusing on teaching people how to drive, race etiquette and mission challenges which can require you to pass as many cars as possible before the time runs out or simply knock down all the cones on track. the car rewards alone are enough to encourage you to get gold in all of them, top it of with Lewis Hamilton as your racing guide to show you the fastest way around the Green Hell and the package really starts to come together. During the first hour I experienced a large volume of disconnects, leaving me with only a shabby arcade mode for my £50. I have yet to complete a full race online in either lobbies or sport due to these disconnects, the game is currently down for maintenance. My patience for developers requiring constant connection has run out. This game is not a product, it is not a triple A title, it lacks content, they’ve dropped the ability to modify cars replacing it with a dumbed down level system. There are barely any tracks, an abysmal amount of cars and the game no longer has a rain setting yet remarkably it has wet tyres. The UI is extremely over complicated and some of the settings simply do not function, notably the ability to hide driver names has no effect destroying any sense of emersion. Graphical flaws exist in the cars wing, and rear view mirrors, flags appear still until you are close enough to touch them. The online lobbies have no sense of direction. All of the problems mentioned above have been sent to the developers during beta testing and no action has been taken. Most of the beta bugs remain. It is a disgrace this product was allowed to be released in the state it is currently in, literally un-playable as the servers are down. This pale in comparison to its predecessors, a shell of a game that if left as is will destroy the legacy of the franchise. This will be in bargain buckets by the end of the week. Read this if you want an explanation of the misconceptions about the campaign/single-player:

If you think that there's no campaign etc, you're wrong, the "Campaign" IS "GT Mode", it's just laid out in a completely different manner which actually makes more sense, although it won't at first (more on that further down the review).

You need to do yourself a favour to enjoy this game = just stop comparing it to old GT games, Forza, Project CARS, Assetto Corsa, and the rest, because this is an entirely different game compared to those and let's be honest, it's fairly idiotic to be comparing those games to each other in the first place, they're all amazing in their own ways.

I'll be honest, I initially I hated this game, but, I was rash to judge it based on my first impression, I was foolish to believe the wave of snarky comments against it and after 1hrs I detested it, pressed eject and started playing Assassin's Creed instead... yet I found myself going back for more, and that's when it all changed.

I thought there was no campaign/single player (when there really is one) and I failed to realise that this is basically the racing version of Overwatch = it's for competitive eSports first and foremost above all else, a mass market accessible version of iRacing that caters for everyone.

This is not the typical Gran Turismo, it's no longer the quirky Car-PG which was cannon-fodder to jokes about having 200 variations of the Mazda Miata. This is a stripped-down Gran Turismo designed specifically for eSports and while on paper I thought "no way, that's a terrible idea", it actually works, you just need to let go of this idea that it has to be a typical Gran Turismo or has to be identical for Forza or Project CARS, because this is an entire different beast on it's own.

So firstly, about that supposed lack of a single-player mode, it's nonsense, there is a single player mode = it's a campaign mode which I realised that it actually IS the old GT Mode that we all know and love, it's just in a more 'linear' story-mode like format with a more chronological progression instead of making you grind or giving you the ability to jump straight to beefy part of it. Put it this way: Driving School + Early parts of campaign = Licenses, mid-latter parts of campaign = GT Mode.

I know, it sound like an idiotic change and it just infuriated me at first to the point of absolutely not wanting to give the game a change, but it makes so much more sense than sandboxing it.

The graphics: you don't really need me telling you how good it looks because it is stunning, as a photographer with some motorsport experience I personally found it jaw-dropping absolutely jaw-dropping, almost everything is amazing, the 1/8 exposure like motions blurs, the low exposure highlights and so much more, there is an absolutely insane amount of detail and this is before I've even gone into Scapes/Photomode, but no doubt I'll find myself recreating some of my real life shots.

The AI: So much more better, the key thing here is to make sure you have the boost turned off in the options of course, but the AI is so much better than before, they'll give you room, they'll try pass you, they'll fight with each other, take each other out, use traffic against you in endurance races and even seek revenge if you ram them now and again.

Physics: It's not the best, but it's definitely not the worst. It has it's short comings and odd nonsensical moments, but it somehow manages to feel fun, you know it's not the best physics, but it will feel so good when you're at the limit.

Now for the meat and potatoes: the online, your first few races aren't going to be fun, there's no two ways about it because you'll be in at the bottom with the worst of the worst, but just focus on your safety rating because once you end up being matched with the better racers this game is so much more fun, I've been no stranger to sims in the past (actual sims), and while this is absolutely no sim, I've already had some of my most fun clean races in GT Sport that I've ever had, there are some seriously good racers out there playing this.

    Obvious cons of this are:
    - Shallow car and track list, but apparently this is going to be regularly updated so hopefully it will grow, Polyphony devs/scanners have been recently spotted at several high profile races getting alone-time with cars.
    - Online only (even though it probably makes more sense than we realise)... but I've seen some people being able to play campaign while offline, so maybe this is a case of misinterpretation like with campaign itself.
    - No Group 2; I don't know what it is, or why it's missing, but I'm damn curious about what the hell it could possibly be if it appears at some point.
    - No changeable conditions (weather/TOD).

BUT, even with these flaws and omissions from the game which I was pretty infuriated over in my first judgementally closed-minded foray into this game.... it's just so damn enjoyable.

I don't have a problem with less cars. I can only drive so many in 365 days in a year and master even less but when it comes to tracks it's a shame that there are only so few. The tracks that are there are very well designed and feel very very good. Driving school feels like a thing of the past where you load the challenge for 30-40 seconds and drive 10 seconds. Only to get a random and mostly useless car i won't drive in the end. But ok it was always there, and i kinda like it if the loading would not put me off every time. The most annoying thing for me is that there is no way to build a racing team for the sports mode. I can't play these races with my friends and when i want to get into a lobby i can hardly find the ones my friends opened, because there is no regular invite through PSN Invitations and the room ID's don't work either for me. Again i really like the driving which is key for a racing sim but everything else around it feels either old or is just not there (like a classic campaign, which is kinda sad but will likely be the selling point of GT7). I have a feeling GT Sports will grow over time but i don't like the thought of "GaaS" especially if i pay for an unfinished product. 2017 has not been kind in that regard and it will only get worse if there won't be a change in the near future. Personally for me I will be trading the game in which is a real shame. I bought the game wanting a meaty offline mode to play which just isn’t on offer here. The developers are obviously going for a multiplayer orientated game here which I can accept as they clearly want to go in a different direction. If you like just playing online, go for it. If you want a good offline experience however, go elsewhere as you will not find it here.

Solely for the VR implementation which I was so looking forward to can understand the graphics and car count limitations but what is unbelievable is the omission of any 'sport' why could they not put in a time trial and more than 1 or 2 laps for a bit of competition is beyond me? Here's hoping they can add it soon.

You do get the odd one idiot that will try to ruin everyones race but these are few and far between, and this brings me to the only negative i can give and that is it iritates me that ive waited ine hour to race a specific race im interested in only for on the odd occasion an imbecile to ruin it by smacking me in the back going into a corner.
Id rather there be more races in the 24 hour period and not just the 3 races at daft intervals meaning i spend alot of time practicing the same rrack waiting for the next race especialy if like today one of the 3 raves on offer dont interest you.

This is the first racing game that is officially licensed by the FIA. And lets not forget GT academy, which created actual race drivers who have won countless races (i.e. Jann Mardenborough). If that doesn't tell you how great GT is I don't know what will. Remember, this is a game to give you the best online eSport racing experience nothing more, nothing less. I personally have been in 3 races so far, each of them were podium finishes and I was surprised to find that no one rammed into me and everyone had great driving etiquette. Each time about 3-5 of us were fighting for a podium finish which gave me the biggest rush I've had in a racing game in a long time. Visually it is extremely beautiful, better than any racing titles out now (I game on Xbox One, PS4 and PC), and the sounds have gotten way better. You'll hear the whine of the dog boxes and V8's sound like V8's. The only thing I would change if I could is the FFB, I'm currently using a Thrustmaster T150 PRO. FBB in pCars on PC is crazy accurate. If you want a serious, adult racing experience go for GT. If you want an arcade pick up type game go for Forza 7. Expand

Huge knock on rating is the "Always On" crap. Who needs this on a racing game? Not me and apparently many others. The amount of cars and tracks is the amount of a $5 DLC

The amount of cars and tracks is the amount of a $5 DLC car/track pack, but for the cost of full retail.

Where's the dynamic weather? Oh yeah, not in this game. You may need to get a bucket that you water your garden with and poor it on yourself. That's your dynamic weather. Also, turn on the floor fan to get some wind.

If you really need a racing game for your PS4, you might as well get Micro Machines World Series. At least with Micromachines, you'll get a lot more bang for your buck with better vehicles, tracks, and you get some action. By the way, no always online. That must be nice.

The only reason why I gave this one a 1 out 10 was because I can at least trade in the physical copy I purchased. Poor guys that spent money on a digital copy. I feel for you, seriously.

Gran Turismo is one of those titles that we've all most likely played at some point in time. I grew up playing Gran Turismo games so it has a special place in my heart.

Recent entries into the series however haven't quite been able to live up to the earlier GT games.

With GT Sport Polyphony Digital hoped that this release would signal a U-turn in their fortunes. With Forza 7 being a disappointment I was ready to be convinced that the Real Driving Sim was worthy of that self proclaimed title once more. So has it capitalised on Forzas sub par effort? In short no.

Despite Gran Turismo games having much longer development cycles than say Forza, GT Sport has some really glaring issues, chief among them being the complete lack of a career mode. There really is no justifying the lack of a core feature. Unless you have decent internet and no interest in a career mode then this game is not for you full stop.

What GT Sport does offer is a Single Race, Time Trial, Drift Trial, 2 player split screen and the good old Driving School. Lke previous games the driving school sets you timed challenges and you are rewarded a bronze, silver or gold trophy depending on your performance. It's a strangely addictive game mode that will see you trying to beat your friends times.

In the online side of things you can either set up your own race lobby and open it up to the public and friends and this has been working well for me so far. I've had a good few epic races and unlike other racing games these didn't turn into demolition derbys.

The other online option is the official race lobbies and this is where GT Sport shines. Races start every 20 minutes or so with qualifying inbetween. It's a solid game mode that punishes you if you're a douche and takes a number of attributes into account when matching you with others. Races tend to be tense and competitive but most importantly fun.

Perhaps another area the Gran Turismo series is famous for are it's attention to detail and graphics. I'm happy to report that the cars in GT Sport are beautifully crafted with OCD type detail. Even the sounds seem to be spot on from the engine noise to the sound of the air rushing past the car as you belt along the track.

Unfortunately the graphical masterclass doesn't extend to the tracks or landscapes. To be brutally honest the trees are laughable (far worse that Forza), and there is some dreadful pop in going on on occasion. Perhaps the worst and biggest sign of laziness is when you use your rear view mirror. Seeing the track despawn as it reaches the pathetic draw distance really is irritating and unforgivable for a game of this calibre.
In a year where Microsoft were clearly going to focus on Graphics it's embarrassing to see this weak attempt by Polyphony.

Fortunately there is one saving grace and that's the gameplay. The feel of the cars is near on perfect. I love how authentic the different cars feel and love how each car has weight to it. Driving your car at speed takes skill and it's fun to master. It really is the best feeling racer I've played in an awful long time although I will add that doesn't extend to rally races which feel dreadful. I just wish they hadn't done such a shoddy and half arsed job of the rest of the game. It has a nice selection of tracks and the car list is set to grow to a more meaningful amount post launch.

A lot of reviews are marking the game down for the lack of offline content and that sure is justified, but I do feel that they've let Polyphony Digital off the hook a bit with the graphics and detail on the tracks. Yes there's an impressive Photo mode and it does look great in places but all in all I feel GT Sport leaves the series on life support. Sooner or later someone is going to pull the plug.

A fun game but I'm concerned about the lazy graphics and the lifespan of the title.

Its built around online. It doesnt have huge offline career. You wont collect oldtimers and filling a garage isnt even interesting here.

So at first I was very disappointed.

But then I realized, that this online approach may work. And thats all that racer wants. To compete. Its like in starcraft, where single player is good but multiplayer is excellent.

Ok, here single player content is mediocre but multiplayer is still excellent.

And that is something you should realize before you buy this game.

Everything other is same. On every step you feel the love for cars that you dont feel in other games. Advanced matchmaking system should put you into race with similarly gifted racers. Daily races give you opportunity to try short 15minutes races druing whole day without all that hassle around.

You can adjust your cars to your like, but what is important here, you have car classes here which represent real life classes (like gr. 3 -> GT3). Cars here are factory tuned to fullfill FIA rules (its not only pushing HP higher or lower). So cars which dont exist in GT3 class are virtually rebuild to fulfill the rules.

You can sign contract with your favourite manufacturer for whole season. You then get from him "borrowed" cars for relevant classes. And you will race with them in Manufacturers trophy.

There is of course a lot potential for future.

    For example:
Real sportmanship school, not only two short videos.
More cars, veteran packs, classic supersports packs, etc... (I can imagine Ferrari, Porsche or Ford history DLCs)
    More tracks.
Some interesting challanges for single player (like red bull challenge in GT5).

This game is fresh restart. Its hard but try to approach this game with open mind and heart without expectations and without comparing numbers to pc2 and fm7. I tried all of them. In terms of numbers , combinations and content, pc2 and fm7 is much better. But in terms of car enthusiasm , love and admiration, gt sport is (for me) still on the top. From racers for racers!

Just dont judge this game according to number of cars, tracks, weather situations and number of SP missions. Its not relevant.

Of course all is promised for the future. But nobody knows how many cars, tracks and SP content will be added and if it will be paid or free.

This is like stripped down car without radio, climatization, passenger seat but with great feel when driving.

The content in term of tracks and cars is on level of Forza 5 on XBox One... more will come later with a dlc... very likely a paid dlc.

Compared to Forza 7 and Project Cars 2 GT Sports is the worst choice to invest your money in. If you play on PS4 you are better off with PC2, if you additionally own a proper Gaming PC or a XBox One, no matter is base, S oder X Version and want to play "sim-cade" style Razer Forza 7 offers the best package for your money.

This is certainly a polarizing game for many I am sure. I have never been a huge fan of the series mostly because of the lackluster sounds. I know. Weird reason. But still it's why I never fully invested in the franchise as I have others.

Some of the standout features for me are a much improved menu system that now flows and doesn't feel clunky. The physics are SO MUCH more realistic than other games it's crazy. For example the understeer in a front wheel drive car is horrific by comparison to the same model in other games.

Graphically it is also something to behold. I have a 4k HDR tv and it's the most beautiful game I have played on it. Hands down.

I love the history of each manufacturer. And moments in automotive history you can learn about. It's fabulous. But this is at odds with the inability to explore each amazingly and lovingly created car... I can't explain how much I want to open up the bonet or door to look around. An implementation of forzavista style here would be great.

I am a little confused by all of the different things you earn- credits/diving miles/character level and so on. The game does a poor job of explaining what any of this means and does and why you collect each. In fact I don't think it even does explain it.

Then it comes to game play. The single player components are quite honestly a bit rubbish. Certainly by comparison to others in the series. This really should be considered a multiplayer game first. The car customization i found confusing - changing the colour should be simple as an example however it meant creating something entirely different which i found quite convoluted. The same goes for upgrading. It's not as it always has been and there are no clear upgrade bits for each component of the car ala others in the series.

For me though the biggest let down is the lack of single player thought. I'm not a multiplayer person and I prefer a campaign. Without that it really spoils it for me. That and a much smaller roster of cars. With a particular focus on racing rather than road going. Car collecting has gone.

All in all this could be an amazing game. But it really does fall short in key areas for some players like myself. And for those reasons I have scored it as I have.

I rather have a polished core experience as a solid foundation than tons of content and bugs (like for example the early release version of the first Project CARS). Btw: GT Sport is best enjoyed with a stearing wheel.

Why couldn’t they just had both modes, 1 for people who care about online, and 2 people without internet and wanted that true GT series experience, i loved starting with a crappy car and working my way up earning the Dodge Viper but can’t do that in this game, for those with internet it’s still bare bones, no game should lock experienced behind online. There is nothing else to do but delete the game off my drive and go back to project cars. Totally a waste of money. No more preordering anything from playstation ever again.

As a fan of the Gran Turismo games since the very first one, it kills me to score this so low. People can harp on all they like about how the online focus is a brave new direction etc. This simply does not excuse throwing away the mainstay of the Gran Turismo games. Most of us can agree that the career in the previous games wasn't perfect, but it should have been fixed, not removed. Most of us can agree that the career in the previous games wasn't perfect, but it should have been fixed, not removed. Gran Turismo for me was all about buying a clapped out golf, having a few races in Sunday cup, then whacking in a turbo etc and whooping the AI. This is simply gone from GT Sport. I have no desire to race real people, I'm not good enough and accept that, but the joke of a campaign in GT Sport falls way short of the previous games.

Then there is the severe lack of cars and tracks, it's shocking they are charging full price for this. I presume they plan on releasing DLC packs to get even more money, in which case they really should have given this shell of a game away as a free to play title given how little content is here on day one.

If you want a car collecting game with a meaty career mode, get Forza 7, if you want a sim with a decent amount of tracks, get Project Cars 2. If you're a tortured GT fan of old, wait for Gran Turismo 7 :(

When i start playing gt3 up to 6 i believe that the game will come as i dreamed, like gt1 and 2. With gran turismo sports i was hopeless, and this is the first time since 2002 my thoughts comes true. Gran turismo will never be as gran 1 and 2. This is unbelievable, the game has a very beautiful graphics, and nothing special at all. There is nothing new makes me believe that the game is changed for me as a player. High detailed cars, same sound ans same missions. I wished to play gran turismo as i did in 1998, i wished to feel the same feelings that i had in 1998. I lost all my hopes during playing this game. I'm waiting for my xbox one x to play forza, i believe that track racing games can't make these huge jump at all, but forza motorsports is better than gt. At least it has many different races that i can enjoy at it, upgrading the cars has more options than this game. Gran turismo need to focus on how to upgrade the cars more than high detailed cars. - Amazing graphics (shaders, textures, lighting looks so realistic, hdr is breathtaking.... and no - - excessive motion blur when you are driving)
    - Amazing sound and music
    - Incredible user interface (so classy and **** fast to use, the best I've seen in a racing game)
    - Livery is gonna be huge in this game
    - Replays.... no words
    - No microtransations
    - Good amount of tracks on the release date (the vast majority are excellent, which is good, and we know there will be a lot more with DLCs)
    - The gameplay is out of this world. GTS has one of the best, if not the best, racing simulation ever created. You can feel the tension of running on a track, feel the cars weight and how it interacts with the track... the driving physics in GTS is unprecedented, a huge improve in the series. GTS is addictive. You just want to play more and more
    - We know that GTS is focused on online racing, but the modest campaign mode brings fun challenges to killing some time ... and get some trophies...
    - Online races are so fun. The lobbies have been perfectly crafted for a great experience with other players, you can even interact with them (CHAT, yeah there's a text chat inside gts *-*)
    - Social: there's a charming social network integrated to the game, where you can share screenshots, comment and enjoy other players content, follow users, publish your own liveries and download liveries from others users to use on your cars. This aspect is perfect for the GTS.

    The bad

    - The list of cars at launch. It could have at least 300 cars. They will add a lot more with DLC, but it's a disappointment here.
    - No rainy weather so far. I don't care about dynamic weather and I don't know if they will add this soon, but the lack of rainy weather at the launch disappointed me

VR: Unfortunately I haven't tested the VR mode, because I don't have PSVR. I should get one soon tho.

GT Sport doesn't have all the bells and whistles like F7 but delivers on what used to matter when it came to racing games and that's, dare i say? Racing. The online racing had me totally immersed, and for the first time in my racing career lol i actually care if i hit another car and find the racing line as i go around a corner. The rating system they have makes even the most crazy drivers want to drive safer which is great news for people that take these racing sims seriously. At first i was a little disappointed that the campaign is a little lackluster and that weather effects are missing at launch, but after racing online and striving to level my driver rating i totally forgot about those short comings and i doubt i will spend much time in the campaign at all.

I've been reading some reviews that talk about the lack of a campaign and realize that if these people dislike GT Sport for this reason then they, in my opinion, really don't care for racing sims in the first place because anyone that loves a challenge will find it in the online racing. It's kind of like someone being upset that a EA sports game doesn't have a campaign. Would it be nice to have a story mode for NHL 18? sure, but believe me when i say that the last thing on those players minds is a story mode.

most of these user reviews that score GT Sport in the red are nothing but Forza haters trying to derail GT, NEVER GONNA HAPPEN :) Best racer I've ever played.

now excuse me while i hop in my Honda NSX, f-n yes.

The BEST racing game EVER!! I Love it so much, for a start of this ultimate driving franchise! Hundreds of cars to use and more than 10 insanely competitive racing tracks to race in too.

I am not a fanboy for Forza and I am not fanboy for Project Cars 2. I've played all 3 games and so far, I've played Gran Turismo franchise since PS1 for GT2.

Lacking cars was the biggest issue for me. I am massively disappointed. It went 1060 cars from GT6 to 140 cars. Not even enough comparing to FM7 or even PC2. Tracks, smaller. And lastly, the weather doesn't exist for realism game

And lastly, the weather doesn't exist for realism game they are trying to focus on. Sunlight shade makes it nice and it was probably best thing. But color shadings inside cockpit is questionable.

Music was probably the best thing and Photo Mode too. Other than that the Livery Editor is no different from FM7 but less. Career mode was gone. Everything is online strictly, and it disconnects a lot with my 150 mbps/ 5 ms ping.

    Graphics: 6/10
    Sound: 9/10
    Content (Cars/Tracks/Weather Feature/Career): 1/10

PD needs to step up better next time. 4K for PS4 Pro is 1800p in this game.

I really wanted to like this version, but it feels much more like prologue did. Very limited in content.

Racing in the cockpit view is awesome, yet the chase cam is HORRIBLE (very similar to 5 and 6). It feels like two completely different games when you switch cameras as handling changes drastically. It's ok and would be worth getting maybe through a sale, but Forza is lightning

where to start. games not broken, but severely lacking content. it’s an excuse to sell PSplus subs as everything that’s means anything in the game needs to be played online.

No asfalto a coisa muda.

-No campaign. Seriously, no single player mode other than a tutorial.
-Online focused racing "simulator" = trash. Have fun with that kids.
-Should have had a GT game ready for PS4 launch... back in 2013.
    -Only 160 cars.

Wow, what happened to my beloved GT series?

GT Sport boasts an excellent driving model and superb car models, but primarily it’s a paramount step towards blurring the line between electronic entertainment and sport, and on a global scale. I just hope Polyphony continues working on the game until it reaches its full potential. [13/2017, p.42]

Standard online races built on proven-by-the-years core of the Gran Turismo series. However, it suffers from an acute lack of content. In addition, if you play solo you have to avoid Sport. [Issue#280]
